Fly and Surf were always decent moves to use in combat. The rest, not so much, but those two have always been solid at least.

Waterfall and Strength had their virtues, and Cut was a fairly powerful move in the early game. Rock Smash was utterly unforgivable though.

Ignacio was an orphan in Hoenn ever since he could remember. He didn't make many friends; he was never adopted. I wasn't long after he was old enough to leave that he did, quickly turning to a meager life of crime in Rustboro. Day after day, he was forced to steal to survive and was notorious in the city for specifically hitting wealthier people.

From this envy of the well-off, Ignacio attracted the attention of a Shuppet. The Shuppet kept him company, and he began to call it Muneca as a result. He treated it with the love and affection that he never got as a child, helping it to grow and become strong.

Soon after, he found his food mysteriously disappearing to find the Mouse Pokemon, Sandshrew, stealing from him. At first, the Sandshrew was untrusting of Ignacio, but after leaving food out for him for a couple of weeks, he earned the Sandshrew's trust and named him Monty.

When the team members attacked, caught their attention as an informed theif of the area and agreed to help them... as long as he was paid. As a result, he ended up joining Team Rocket as a grunt and would do almost anything to keep this position of power and steady income. He aims to deal hefty blows to this Resistance to prove to his superiors that he is worthy of a promotion and pay raise. Mostly the pay raise.

She is curious of other pokemon and will often hover around them, simply watching what they are doing.

I feel like Cut and Rock Smash should have some utility to make them useful in the games. Like Cut can get rid of stuff like Leech Seed and Rock Smash can get rid of the Screens or something to that nature.

EDIT: And you mentioned at one point, that only the Pokémon native to Hoenn are to be caught - does that translate to all Pokémon in the Hoenn Dex of ORAS and their evolutions of other generations (looking at you, Magneton)?

By the time you get Cut in the games, you most likely already have stronger moves. I think it has 50 power or something, but don't quote me on that.

I'm pretty sure you should be using a Team Member app, not a Trainer app. I realize he's just a mercenary, but still.

You guys could be NCOs in the Rule Coalition army, but to rise higher than that, you need to impress me and Temp with good RPing and spelling.

I feel that's a limit on creativity, but since I'm new I'll just have to prove myself. Also, I didn't plan on being high ranking in the Rule Coalition itself but rather a sort of "squad" or "platoon" leader in Team Rocket itself. More of a senior enlisted or low ranking company officer. Similar to Selkie's character with the only difference being that my character won't be personal agents of Giovanni directly. A rank and position powerful enough to make minor decisions, solely in the field, for some Rule Coalition operations, and also a position powerful enough in Team Rocket itself to warrant enough trust and responsibility to be given charge of a small unit of Grunts and field ops as well as being left in charge of a certain task or something. Mt character will still, of course, be following orders from those appointed above him, but I do want some creative freedom as to how I go about these orders and accomplish them as to better develop my character.

As far as my roleplay ability goes I certainly won't guarantee perfection, especially with some aspects of grammar that I have trouble with, but I can guarantee effort on my part and a quality of roleplay that, I think, you'll find more than acceptable.

Hmm. I suppose that with Temp's approval, you could be a low ranking officer or some such. Be warned, however. Grumpy Senpai is a fickle being.

I already have a small idea of what I want as additions to my team... as for Cut, its 50 and Normal Type, so there are better moves out there to deal damage to certain enemies, even in this strength-category (Ember - 40 and effective against many possible foes, for example). Then again, Cut's main use is to... well, cut down trees/shrubberies - no other move can do that (although logic dictates something else - Blast Burn these damn trees/shrubberies to hell! Or flail them to death, Magikarp!)

I actually would enjoy playing grunts more. If you've played any Pokemon game, ever, you know it's always them who make the terrible puns.

You kidding? That's, like, my favorite Pokemon game ever. It's quite the shame they didn't make a version of Emerald for the 3DS, and instead just gave us a crappy Delta Episode.

I used to be so obsessed with Emerald that I trained for the Championship and beat Wallace, the Champion in Emerald not once, not twice, but three whole times. Plus I caught every single legendary in the game and learned how to use Pokemon Braille.

Yeah, I was a bit in love with Pokemon Emerald at that point.
