Morocco is staying part of the Egyptian Caliphate. Also, I said post-colonial/states you break off of your own states do not count toward your total -- according to my list, Ruri only has Two Sicilies, Greece and Siam.

Example of this would be if Boji decides to have Guangzhou become an independent state from China. That wouldn't count. Now if he started playing as Assam, that would count. Get what I mean?

Indeed. And since Spain is getting raped in terms of getting its colonies taken, it will be the first to start moving in to Western Africa. Spain stronk! And I'm planning a massive revocation and rebuilding of Genoa's finances and political spectrum, so hopefully, if their government is more in line to agree with Two Sicilies, TS will be less stressed to invade Sardinia (Ruri).
I'm hoping to get Genoa a few African coastal colonies, if Spain wants to actually help it instead of thrash it to pieces. I'll decide that down the road. For now, may I ask what the Austrian (color from the previous map) province between Genoa and Venice is, and who that would belong to?

West Africa? You're going to have to probably deal with Egypt trying to block you at every corner, Egypt seeks to bring the Mali and Mauretania regions under their rule... that and other nations may have interests in colonizing all of that.

Me and Ruri have agreed Genoa will be the small yellow nation on that map he linked above in this period, so I already have it. But, he's also agreed to let me go at Piedmont with possibly some Sicilian help if Genoa stays out of Sardinia and Sicilian affairs there.

Looking at that map, and realizing I've ONLY got three nations now thus far.... I was wondering if RPing the Ottomans and a potential successor state/s would be a good idea. Or you want to keep molesting them as an NPC. Just making sure, because if so, then I won't. Kinda want to defragment them and have a bunch of states succeed in their absence. And what is the purple and yellow states as well if you know Ruri? I'm assuming yellow is Persia?

Damn, you guys were busy while I was gone! A few things until I get back home:

1) I might go for Finland, though I intend on losing it later.
2) Prussia & Russia are pretty similar in overall strength on land (Russia has a bigger army, but Prussia has a better officer corps); Russia's navy is stronger, but our loose alliance means no conflict is looming.
3) West Africa would probably be safe from most intrusions until the mid 1800's. After that, Africa will be in a world of hurt.

Yes but I suppose you can take that out if you want. If you want to keep it, by all means you my characters and plot if you'd like to continue that.

Just keep in mind that it would be really hard, as you would have at least four powers bearing down on you. Persia would make more sense, since at least then you would have a good deal of potential allies (including Egypt).

See, I can understand conquering the Maghreb and the Arab part of the Middle East. It's a little on the far end of realism, but it is feasible. But Persia? Persian terrain will fight against you, and Farsi Shias will not consent to the rule of Arab Sunnis for any extended period.
