Thoes national days also have sweeping bold political statements behind them you may notice whether its Liberté, égalité and fraternité, no taxation without representation or just a free united poland, what brave and bold idea would a united kingdom national day celebrate? I'm not saying its impossible that there is one but we need to stop being a country that used to own an empire and become something new with ideals worth celebrating.
