389th Orbital Police Corps
OOC
Information
Background
The near future as come, and in turn the world is on edge. With both the legalization of most soft drugs, crime has had to become more and more dominant in the world scene, and they have had to step up their crimes to still stay relevant. On top of this, an alien race known as the Viir has landed in certain parts of the globe, and are normally being held in quite harsh conditions. Because of this, police forces around the world have gotten their funding increased tenfold, but even then it's not enough. Now that the market for them has rejuvenated, PMC groups have become more and more prominent.
One such group is the Orbital Police Corps, a PMC group that specializes in Policing unruly areas, and are swiftly rising to the top of most employer'S short list for who they want defending them. They get their name since they are, well, in orbit, stationed on ships of all sorts and sizes, with a very pertinent promise.
''7 minutes, and we'll be at your door,''
They launch their officers from space to deal with all kinds of threats and missions, ranging from regular patrols and drug busts, to VIP escorts and high value target eliminations.

Additional Information
The Viir
An enigmatic race of aliens which landed on our planet some years ago, the Viir have been with us for some time now. The Viir haven’t been with us for long, and as a result no permanent solution to their presence has been found. Camps for the Viir have been set up to house them and supply them with food. Though these camps have become more and more oppressive as some very draconian measures are put in place to ensure the Viir do not leave. They seem content with this arrangement for the moment, though there is some unrest.
From what we can gathered from observation, the Viir are a very hardy and tough race, able to exist and thrive in even the harshest environments. They seem to gather together in large units or clans so they can collaborate. A large emphasis is put on family and unity, though that also means they are resistant to outsiders and fairly xenophobic, though surprisingly good linguists.
The Viir have spoken little about how they came to be here, their close nit nature making them very distrusting of us. Theories have circulated that they might have been refugees from a war, explorers or perhaps some lost scouts. Some of the more paranoid individuals think they might be conspiring a takeover of earth.
A Report on the observed nature of the ViirPart I Society
Viir are a very close nit and hardy people and so they gravitate to form family units and on occasion large clans of ten to forty families. Due to Viir breeding and lifespans, most familes average at about six to eight people. We can assume clans on the Viir homeworld would be larger, but their current situation on earth has made that unlikely. The largest current clan is the Vaankan-diiori in northern Russia, with roughly 300 families.
Clans seem to be led either by the oldest living Clan member or a “Khajiir” elected by a conference of all the heads of all the clans families. The powers of a Khajiir are somewhat unclear to humans, likely due to the fact they differ from clan to clan and the fact that most Viir do not like talking to us.
However what we do know is that the Khajiir has the power to order a family to disown a family member. This is the worst fate possible for most Viir, as their name is forever struck from the records and they are banished from the clan forever. They are to be killed on sight by the clan if they ever return.
The main reason they seem to shun humanity is because they believe their culture would be infected by the “barbaric” nature of us humans seem to display. They especially disapprove of our tendency to eat in public, which they consider completely vile. However the Viir have opened up in some nations where they have been more accepted, especially in Africa and Asia.
LX 13
LX-13. This is the newest (and highly illegal) remake of LX-2. LX-2 was at first a drug created to treat the symptoms of severe Ataxic Cerebral Palsy. Amazingly, it nearly cured Ataxia, and was known as something of a wonder drug.
Over time however, the drug was found to be rather addictive, and after a few uses, inhalation of the drug was necessary to maintain proper functioning of the heart and lungs. After two years of use, it caused patients to have auditory hallucinations, and emotional disengagement. Thus, the drug was taken off the market and put under more controlled government testing.
LX-7 was the next "successful" version of the drug. It properly dealt with Ataxia, leaving few side-effects. But when paired with Oxycodone, it was found to cause LSD-like hallucinations, and audio-visual mismatching. And this is the form that drug lords got a hold of.
After a shit-ton of screwing with the chemical make-up of LX-7, black market chemists devised the new LX-13. Also known as the "Wax Devil" or "Limp Meth" in the underworld, LX-13 was a drug whose addictive properties were comparable to the Methamphetamine of years past. However, this drug was even more frightening.
The drug is either smoked in crystal form (similar to Crystal Meth) or injected directly into the blood. Either way, the first usage causes a high like nobody's business. Feelings of complete euphoria, indestructibility, and audio and visual hallucinations similar to only the most insane highs garnered by LSD are typical, alongside a huge rush of energy and a lessening of natural inhibitors of one's muscles. But that high can never be reached again.
Instantaneously, one is hooked for life. And if you stop using LX-13, you will die of heart failure (although if you keep using it, you'll die of other things within the span of three years).
As the addict continues to use the Wax Devil, symptoms eerily similar to catatonic schizophrenia will surface. Long-term users will often be seen assuming completely fucked-up body positions, often resembling growling gargoyles, demonic creatures, or just awkward wax figures. And they will maintain these positions for undetermined lengths of time, some even are reported assuming the same position for three days straight.
But the most dangerous side effect is that the skin is slowly eaten away by the toxins present in the body. Oftentimes, an addict will be nothing more than bone and muscles, with very little skin left. Without the natural defense of skin, and the decrease in the body's immune system, addicts will most often die of common, easily preventable diseases. Yet because their bodies are in a constant state of high strength and energy, and since LX-13 grants users near unlimited amounts of energy, the addict will often live for months after his body should have given in to common diseases.
Addicts are extremely violent and paranoid, attacking just about anything that moves. Well, so long as their body doesn't assume some random position and sit there immobile.
