Nations ranked 1-5 in the coefficients (Koana Islands, Ianoia, Darmen, Abanhfleft, Western Borderlands) may submit up to three teams into the Unity Cup.
Nations ranked 6-15 in the coefficients (all other BCC1 participants) may submit up to two teams into the Unity Cup.
Nations that are not ranked in the coefficients may submit up to one team into the Unity Cup.

Submission deadline is tentatively set to March 2, 2015 at MIDNIGHT STOCKHOLM TIME.

Yeoman Stadium is the home of the Eboracum Yeomen, located in Nova Anglicana's second-largest city. It is another pitcher's park, and especially difficult to get it out to right-center, but because of air resistance rather than distance to the fence. The quality of professional baseball has improved in the recent years, and the atmosphere at the ballpark and the culture of Eboracum make this a great place to play. It recently hosted many playoff games in the 31st edition of the World Baseball Classic, and Eboracum is a true metropolitan city well-equipped to entertain and support players and fans alike.

THE LLAMANEAN ULTRALEAGUE - SEASON I

The two biggest baseball-playing nations, Super-Llamaland and Vjaalsbürg, decided to begin their quest to link all of Greater Llamanea in a single baseball league by combining their respective associations into the Llamanean-Vjaal Baseball Association (LVBA). The move was met with mixed response, but they are determined to begin a multi-associational league - perhaps with all of NationStates included.

The two leagues had a combined thirty-two teams, making it perfect for a top tier of thirty-two. Each team would play each other five times for a 155-game season, making it, if nothing else, one of the most interesting experiments in recent memory...

First seed Nikcoro and underdogs South Bryant go neck and neck, Nikcoro grabbing the lead first with Andrew Hollister's RBI triple to right but South Bryant, in the fifth, grabbing the lead with back-to-back home runs from Michael Fischer, who also singled in a run in the seventh, and Brad Durbin. Still, after South Bryant ace Kevin Jiang goes six innings with only one earned run, the team's bullpen exploded, reliever Chad Moore loading the bases with two singles and a walk before Micah Castro gave up a three-run triple to Natalie Earl and the go-ahead RBI double to Michael Feliz. After the four-run inning, South Bryant went home quietly as Nikcoro, despite the scare, manages to continue its brilliant season.

With the wind blowing in hard at New Llama, everyone knew that it was going to be a pitcher's duel no matter who was on the mound. And with Kyle Hogan (18-6, 2.65 ERA) facing off against Neil Velasquez (16-8, 3.11 ERA), both offenses, even the league-second Wizards, found themselves completely shut down. Velasquez walked Ryan Ford, who stole second and scored on a bloop RBI single from Hogan, was first to crack, but Hogan never did, throwing a complete game on 119 pitches with only two hits and a walk allowed. Velasquez threw eight and a third, allowing five hits and one run while striking out ten, but it simply wasn't enough, and East Llama are the first cinderellas of the tournament.

Nobody expected Nya Salzhölm to win, and the manager's gamble to start inexperienced left-hander Miles Jordan took away any chance they had, the game effectively ending in the seventh when Wagner singled in two runs to make it 8-3. Center-fielder Tobias Wagner was the offensive catalyst, going 5-for-5 and hitting for the cycle, with six of the team's eleven RBIs and two stolen bases, and Andrea Ericsson went seven innings and struck out twelve.

Another blowout, with one of two Vjaal teams, Dränkasbürg, giving up seven runs in the first three innings. For the Cyclones, Michael Trabajen hit two home runs and batted in five, while Zander Fiers went 4-for-6.

Again, despite Talahita being a cup favorite at the start of the year, the game was never in question. Talahita ace Ely Herrera was smashed around for seven runs in five innings, making it a 7-2 game, and when they threw in their next-best starter, Kirk Sanchez, the left-hander gave up eight runs in two and a third, including a grand slam from first baseman Evan Cleanthony, who batted in a team record of eight runs.

After a slew of routs by the favorites, plucky Nandaozhou gave Vjaal champions Insøvandeshölm a run for their money. Wei Jia-Bin, the starter, gave up five in the second on back-to-back home runs, one a grand slam from Joshua Wladecki, his thirty-first, but refused to leave the mound and went on to pitch six innings. Meanwhile, Nandaozhou's second-hitter and shortstop, Jeremy Hanson, was injured minutes before the game began, but his replacement, Guillermo Ruíz, a Hicañan refugee, was an unlikely hero, batting in four runs and going 3-for-5, his last hit being an RBI single that tied the game. Unfortunately, Wei's replacements gave up RBI doubles to Wladecki and David Cashner, and Nandaozhou, for all of Wei's and Ruíz's heroism, went out early.

It was a nondescript 4-3 game when Stewart Doherty lined a grand slam into left field, but after that it was another rout. Penbrooke went up by seven runs while their pitching staff at one point recorded fourteen straight outs, before in the ninth Vargas' ersatz bottom of the order started a rally, scoring three runs and loading the bases with nobody out and slugger Sam Bour at the plate.

Here's the 2-2 pitch to Sam Bour, the tying run. Bour has twenty-five home runs this year despite injuries, I certainly hope he can make it twenty-six. The bases are loaded, Emily Walter delivers. Bour swings, it's a one-hopper in the game, and running directly at it is Igriega, the shortstop. Igriega fields it, he reaches over and tags Vanderbilt, throws to second, caught by Müller and that's a double play! Müller throws home, sprinting back to third is Megan Weaver - and it bounces out of the catcher's hands! Weaver turns around and heads home, Bour hesitates and goes for second, the catcher Copeland fields it, throws to second, and HE'S OUT! TRIPLE PLAY AND THE GAME IS EVER!

Vargas Athletic never ceases to astound.

Out of all of the non-routs, this game was the least exciting. Viewers were treated to, despite the wind blowing out, a two-run, no out line drive that should have been fielded easily by the third baseman but instead ended up as a double being the only extra-base hit of the game. Derrierton scored both of its runs on bases-loaded fielder's choices, while Asure had an RBI single and a bases-loaded walk. Exciting.

A thrilling thirteen-inning pitchers' duel, Nikcoros' Jeff Wheelwright became the first pitcher since 2008 to pitch eleven innings, in 144 pitches striking out eight and giving up just five hits. Meanwhile, Asure's hero was the bullpen, starting pitcher Kevin Wintergreen leaving after six-plus innings after taking a line drive to his knee - seven innings, two hits, two runs. In the end though, the talented right-fielder Tanya Bogusevic won the game in the bottom of the thirteenth, the lefty slamming a one-out, walkoff home run the opposite way for the game.

The story of this game is the four-run rally that shouldn't have been - with two outs and nobody on, Tobias Wagner managed to poke a single through a gap in right field. Wagner then was nearly picked off, but Brendan Richards' throw to first was in the stands. Richards managed to recover and induce an easy ground ball to shortstop, but the shortstop, trying to tag Wagner, managed to fall over lunging for the center-fielder and dropped the ball, putting men on the corners. Richards, rattled, walked the next batter, who at one point hit a catchable foul ball that the wind dropped, and Trevor Murphy hit a grand slam. From there on out East Llama never recovered, and it cost them their underdog run.

The Cyclones have had a disappointing season, and with Dinschria leading three-one away, the bottom of the order up, and the Cyclones' bats anemic it appeared that it would end the way it had been. With one out, though, eighth-hitter Taylor Finnegan singled to left, and pinch-hitter Wade Lowry followed up with a game-tying home run to straightaway center. After a few minutes, another pinch-hitter, Nolan Weis, was sent up, and Weis managed to bloop a double to right-center, advancing to third on Zander Fiers' sacrifice fly. That brought up Michael Trabajen.

Tyler Myers was brought in just to face Trabajen, he's a righty unlike the lefty closer Richard Hooper. Fastball on the edge of the plate, good first pitch and Trabajen is down in the count. For those of you just joining us, it's three-three in the bottom of the ninth, two outs, and Nolan Weis on third. Michael Trabajen is now facing Tyler Myers, who delivers. It's low and away, a good breaking ball but Trabajen managed to lay it off. One-and-one the count. Myers delivers, Trabajen gets a good swing on it, fly ball into left center, sprinting back is the center-fielder Matt Rodriguez, he's at the wall, leaps, and it's a foot over his glove! Home run! Cyclones win! Cyclones win!

Another pitchers' duel, between Meng Wu-zhen and Anthony Ferrera - both went eight strong innings. In the end, the difference was the seventh - Insøvandeshölm's Josva Olafsen tripling and scoring on a wild pitch in the top of the inning, Jared Pitch hitting into an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded in the bottom.
