Saltbridge Needs To Explain Accusations of Terrorist Suspects Abusing - Dr Johann
Image

Oldwich: Saltbridge needed to elucidate its role in the torture of terrorist suspects by the National Security Directorate (NASDIR), said the director of the National Human Rights Association (NHRA), Dr Ian Wilmot Johann. Activity reports of coercion and torture against terrorist by NASDIR are disclosed by the International Monitoring Agency.

"The report gives the impression complicated for us because it might reveal the" exceptional role "our country and other allies in the" global war on terror ", which is difficult to catch the suspects and transfer them to a secret place of detention provided for the purpose, "he said in a press statement recently."Though the battle against terrorism is very significant and a priority, we should not compromise the moral integrity in this path," he stated.

He likewise added that the battle against terrorism and extreme attitudes and values connected with these two threats may only be overcome if we remain dedicated people in charge of civil liberties and fundamental rights, even if we are to protect the spirits of more people.

MORENDAM- One person is dead and 17 are injured following violent crashes at a Nasjonal Front rally in the Morendam city center this Wednesday. The clash began when anti-NF protesters gathered opposite the main rally, it is reported that a single shot was fired which triggered the riot. A GLIMPSE OF HOPE ABROAD

Image
An armored vehicle that belonged to the Danasred.

December 8, 2014 at 7:00 PM (Monday). Not long after the Battle of Yeliyavyrd which took place in October 22, the Pejitean Military Forces initiated Operation Mukslerev, a major military campaign that aimed to force the Danasred out of Pejite. This operation lasted for the whole month of November, and continued until today. The campaign was administered by the Pejitean Government, and by the Pejitean General Alkerev Evarv who commanded four army divisions against the Pejitean rebels. The campaign was also sanctioned by the Republic of Tolmakia, with the Tolmakian Military Forces joining in offensive operations as authorized by the Pejitean Government in the last Pejitean-Tolmakian summit.

Roughly 40,000 Pejitean soldiers and policemen, and 500 Tolmakians were engaged with an unknown number of rebels, with witnesses estimating 1,000 to 10,000+ rebels. The resulting campaign took the lives of 1,000 Pejiteans, 12 Tolmakians, and possibly 2,500 to 5,000 rebels. 500 Pejitean soldiers also defected, but were either killed or captured. Most of the fighting occurred in the northwestern parts of Pejite, out in the barren highlands. Despite the losses, rebel activity has dwindled, and there are no more reports of the Danasred, or their activities in Western Pejite. The Pejitean armed forces are also opting to cooperate with the Iraqi border guards and local police to cleanse any remaining rebels near the Iraqi-Pejitean border.

"This has given our country a glimpse of hope," Dylan Hammondt, the Pejitean Ambassador to the Tolmakian Republic remarked. "We are really grateful that the Danasred have finally stopped their attacks, and thankful too for our ally's support." He added that the Pejitean Military Forces will remain on high alert, and will continue pursuing their "prey."

After the Second Pejite War which just ended this year, many resisting Pejiteans formed numerous rebel organizing. Later, these all were incorporated into the Danasred, which was structured out of the Pejitean Freedom Fighters. The group is led by Ramay Liam, and has harassed peacekeepers, threatening the peace and stability of the kingdom, and its allies within the Pejitean borders.

Heavy Industry Banned

Following the signing of the rather controversial Industry Regulations Act by Sir Philip Andrews, all heavy industries that have endured the hardships of recent years are now officially illegal and must either close down or relocate.

"Unbelievable," exclaimed Jonas Filcher, the owner of what's left of the once prestigious Panait Steel Co., "what efforts I have (used) are now completely wasted. This bill is a clear example of tyranny by majority. It only won by 2 and 1 votes at the Lower and Upper Houses (respectively)!" More on A1...

Questions have been raised in Parliament regarding the increase in worldwide complaints about the activities of Raiding Force. Defense Minister Harmony Chang is expected to meet with the Council of Generals to discuss the issue and report to Parliament within the week.

Raiding Force is a semi-autonomous commando unit which operates internationally in hostage-rescue situations, etc. Although it has no official authorization to operate outside of Fatatatutti, both Parliament and the Council have been content to turn a blind eye toward its extra-legal activities. However, there have recently been complaints from several nations about Raiding Force activities on their soil, some of which have been characterized as "acts of war".

The situation came to a head last week when a Raiding Force aircraft returning from a mission, low on fuel and with wounded on board, disrupted air traffic at Fat City International Airport for more than an hour. Reports that several international airlines plan to pull their flights from Fatatatutti have not been confirmed.

The commander of Raiding Force, Major John "Scottie" Wilson, could not be reached for comment. General Marie-Louise Castro-Stalina, considered by many to be "the face of the Army", smiled when confronted by reporters and said only that, "Raiding Force's policy is to support the cause of freedom, anywhere, any time."

Recent developments in Parliament are fuelling rumours of an imminent cabinet shuffle. Clashes in debate between the Alphonsist wing and the Fishist wing of the Socialist Party have prompted some commentators to predict that the Socialists will lose up to three seats in upcoming by-elections and that, as a result, Prime Minister Schuyler Marmish will be replaced by Harmony Chang of the Communist Party.

Prominent Alphonsists and Fishists are downplaying the division. However, with support for the Alphonsists coming from the Alphonsist wing of the Castro-Stalina Party, there is also speculation about the possible formation of a new independent Alphonsist Party. Fishists in the Socialist Party and the Castro-Stalina Party have categorically denied any plans for an independent Fishist Party but the Castro-Stalinist wing of the Socialist Party has not ruled out the possibility of uniting with Fishists in the Communist Party, the Social-Democratic Party and the Fluffyist Party.

(Note: the Fluffyist Party should not be confused with The Fluffiest Hobo, which is a TV show about a duck who wanders from town to town having various adventures.)

The Prime Minister commented only that she will accept the will of the people and of Parliament and if she is replaced she will give the new Prime Minister her full support. Representatives of Alphonse pointed out that Alphonse is not affiliated with the Alphonsist wings of any party and that he will be too busy pursuing his career of grape-licking and sleeping to put much effort into politics. President Fish said only, "Bloop!" which some have interpreted as support for a united Fishist Party.

ΒΑΣΤΑΡΝΟΣΚΑ ΚΑΝΣΕΛΛΕΡΙ ΡΕΔΕΘ υφαρ σου ΑΛΦΑΒΕΤΑ

Following a recent government-funded study into the rampant problem of illiteracy among Bastarneian citizens, it was discovered that the general population's literacy is not as low as what is widely believed, but rather, the population is simply accustomed to a different alphabet than the one used in official contexts by the Bastarneian monarchy and chancellery.

Since the restoration of Bastarneia's independence in 1991, the Greek Alphabet has been used in all official contexts in the public sector, with the intent of removing Soviet influence from the lives of the newly independent Bastarneian people. The change was immediately met with severe consequences, with adult literacy rates dropping from 99.7% in 1991, to just 12.2% in 1994. What was not measured, however, was competency in reading or writing in alphabets other than Bastarneian Greek.

Adult literacy when using Bastarneian Greek has stabilized at around 70% in the past four years — a welcome change since 1994 — but the root of the problem has not been properly addressed: Bastarneians are simply using the Cyrillic alphabet in their day-to-day life instead of Greek.

Due to the disparity between familiarity with the Greek and Cyrillic variants of the Bastarneian alphabet, members of the Chancellery have proposed a new standard for writing Bastarneian in the Cyrillic alphabet, which will be co-official with Bastarneian Greek should the legislation come to pass.

Un Effort Divine!, Dirigeant Kasuga unveils New Anti-Narcotics Initiative

Dirigeant Kasuga pressing for more efforts in fighting Narcotics.

Megalo Mesembria, Flardania- Recently Dirigeant Arata Kasuga decided to place more emphasis on the war against drugs initiative that was establish during the Dirigeant Naegi Makoto Administration and maintained by the Kiryuin Administration. This is the latest in social issues the the Dirigeant been working on and stated that more Foreign Policy issues will be addressed soon.

"When Makoto launched the war on Narcotics he had a vision a straight-edged vision. He dreamt of seeing the nation he loved free from the clutches of evil. The movement did wonders and became a legacy of his as Satsuki Kiryuin worked on finishing Naegi's great work. Recreational drug use are at an all time low and we are among the leading nations in fewest drug usage per capita. I want to place a more greater emphasis in combating this blood money business both domestically and foreign. I want to help nations we have relations with clean up and disperse the drug money business. The CP 9: F.A.N.A will be increasing presence in Haiti and make sure Haiti can be as clean as her home nation of Flardania. It will be difficult knowing the reputation of the Caribbean and Latin america but we must try."

That was once again Dirigeant Kasuga addressing his new anti-drug initiative. He is planing on addressing foreign policy concerns as well but is working on appointing a new Minister of Defense after Arlert stepped down stated that he missed field work and knows he is not suited for the paperwork and political aspect. Not also is Kasuga waiting to appoint a new Minister of Defense, he is waiting to formally meet with Natayla Saiko of Guadalupador as he has yet to establish relations with the old leadership, and plans to call Trigra to maintain current relations with the new Guadalupador government stating that alliances are with the nation and people and not with the governments as they are always susceptible to change.

Richflite confirmed it will be the hub of the country's defense and security industry in the region through Michalon Defense Technology Park project that will be developed in Michalon end of 2016.

Michalon DEFTECH Park is a public-private partnership project between DoD and a local company, DefPark Consortium. Governor of Richflite, Paul Lupe Gammond said, besides being able to develop the area, the defense industry project was seen to be an attractive investment in and outside the country in Richflite drive towards achieving developed country status by 2019.

Michalon DEFTECH Park will be the first of its kind in these region to cater to the growing demand and needs of the defense and security industry. I am very positive that the joint initiative between the public and private sectors will provide a strong platform for Michalon DEFTECH Park to achieve its vision and objective, said Governor Gammond

On IIWiki
I have multiple puppets here; only a select few are used to represent the continent of Astholm; others used represent Westholme, and do not artificially boost my nation's statistics.Previously i used puppets with nation names that did not identify as Astholm (e.g. Australis Australia; now all new puppets use ASTHLM, NORTHLM, SOUTHLM, WESTHLM (HLM denoting The Holmes.
NOTE: Other uses of Astholm here have a different continuity and refer to work created by the user Astholm, not the nation
