- Just minutes ago a security guard reported a suspicious package found outside the Opera House. It has been evacuated.
- The flag that hostages were forced to hold to the window is confirmed to be Shahada, meaning it is nearly impossible to narrow it down to one group responsible
- A man just walked into a hospital with a package and is now missing
- A gunman has just been arrested 200m from the siege in a completely unrelated event

All evacuation has finished from nearby buildings, but those who didn't get out in time have been told to stay away from windows and stay near the top levels of the office buildings. They are planning chopper rescues for those stuck in nearby buildings, but all airspace has been closed for now.
