WORLDVISION 35 - FONTVIEILLE, YTTRIBIA

PERFORM BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

One of the new nations partaking in WorldVision, Yttribia have a much more storied history in sport. Despite this, the WorldVision Song Contest is becoming a regular tradition in the homes of millions of citizens, taken seriously by many, and a great drinking excuse for some. Nonetheless, the city of Fontvieille, the nation of Yttribia, and the region of Esportiva would like to welcome potential participating nations to its beautiful landscape. The organizing committee would like to invite participants to perform beyond expectations.

Getting Around

The capital, in addition to largest city, of the Yttribian Confederation, Fontvieille is a multicultural city. Located on the coast of the nation, Fontvieille's general climate could be described as chilly and foggy. Nonetheless, the bright lights of a Fontvieille skyline certainly remove the fog. Getting around the Font (as locals call it) is relatively easy, with a metro system that spans the entire city, and various stations of transfer to other rail systems, including the National Rail System. The beltways (or motorways, freeways, highways, etc.) are well connected, in addition to streets having the capacity to withstand heavy usage. The Fontvieille-Haase Airport, named after fabled founder of the city Julian Haase, will be able to connect the many fans travelling to experience a once in a lifetime moment. While the Ministry of Tourism usually requires visas for nations not apart of the Trifecta Deal (most Esportivan nations, those in Atlantian Oceania, and Rushmori nations), the only visa you'll need to enter the country is a ticket to the WorldVision event, and you'll be good to go.

The Contest

The contest will take place inside the legendary venue known as The Fort. Bands such as absolute.ly fantastic and The Products of Kennex got their start inside The Fort, so the place has seen some of the best and worst acts out there. At a maximum capacity of twelve thousand fans, the design of the venue allows for fans to experience music in the best way possible, with superb acoustics. Despite all of this, you'll be able to feel that indie venue feel in the end. The placement of the stage to be in the centre allow for the bands to get up close and personal with the audience, providing a feeling unlike any other. Monitors above the stage allow for even those far away to see the action up close. Members of the press, however, will not be allowed inside The Fort; commentators will be in a temporary press box that was loaned to the venue by next door neighbours Thomson and Associates, LLC. The press box, with a clear view of the stage and panorama view of the stage will certainly give the press the best view in the house.

The Green Room, which has been tripled in size, lies right underneath the stage. Designed in such a way to promote hospitality, the Green Room is stocked with all sorts of food and drink, and allows for competing acts to open up with each other and promote friendship. Food and drink can be specialized to accommodate the performer's religious or dietary needs. In addition, the Green Room has been set up with some of the fastest Internet connections in the region, allowing for those to stay connected. Cameras will be providing a live feed of the performing acts receiving points whenever necessary.

In addition, artists will not be harmed whether or not their lyrics contain homage to a certain political leader, nor will they be sent to labour camps if a grammatical slip-up occurs. Trust us, we aren't that insane.

Postcards
Yup, we have them of course. The raven is viewed as one who seizes opportunity in Yttribia. As a tribute to the national animal of the Confederation, postcards will consist of their nation's flag inside a raven soaring down to seize the opportunity it gets. To be as aesthetically pleasing as possible, we ask that nations have a clean, unrippled photo of their flag. In addition, if there are any symbols which must be prominently featured in the raven, please do not hesitate to tell me. Here are two examples from last edition that will give you an idea of what it looks like.

Being one of the newer nations to take part in the contest, we believe it is only right that we breath new light into the competition. Across the world, people have come together because of this event, and this year we want everyone to #UNITEWITHMUSIC.

CAEN

The vibrant and beating heart of Normandy and Picardy, Caen is a hub for music and culture in general. We boast a state of the art metro and tram system making moving around the city easy as well as streets which can deal with a massive influx of people for similar events and a modern airport. There will be no need for visas as long as you can prove you are coming to watch Worldvision (use your ticket).We are a multicultural centre, with people from all around the world and we see it only fitting that we help the world #UNITEWITHMUSIC. Although the weather is temperate, you will always feel sunny in Caen. There are so many things to do and so much to see and we will sure make you feel welcome; we are famed for our hospitality. With a great night life and a deep rich history, it has something for everyone. Come on, why don't you #UNITEWITHMUSIC in Caen?

The Stadium

The Stadia Chantja (Music Stadium) has been designed particularly for large music events and so shall be perfect for hosting Worldvision. With modern, up to date facilities you can do pretty much anything in the stadium. With the capacity for over 50,000 people, you can be sure there shall be plenty of people supporting your nation. Everyone will be able to see clearly what is going on due to the design of the stadium, and for those at the back (although they should be able to see) there are monitors showing the performances. Commentators boxes are provided but only for the commentators and a film crew - no more no less.

The Green Room

The greenroom is situated inside the main stadium so the other nations can watch each other perform. We promote friendship and as such it is open plan in order to allow the musicians to converse and #UNITEWITHMUSIC. Refreshments shall be given keeping in mind dietary requirements.
