The 2014 Election season came to a close Friday night with results being tallied throughout the night and into Saturday when the process was complete. Polling officials announced at 3:00 P.M yesterday the results for over 1300 elections in positions throughout the Confederate and local governments in which many different parties won representation. However, in the Confederate elections for the entire Magistratus, half of the Senatus and the President of the nation, the party Factio Dominium (fmr. Factio Potentia) dominated the polls after what is now being declared an extremely successful campaigning by Consul Quinton Cipius against the "Appeasement" policies of the former majority party, the Factio Bellatorius.

In the Presidential campaign, candidate Simon Gregore won out over the Incumbent, Sasha Lucia, who held the office for two terms. Gregore greatly aided Cipius's efforts to remove the Factio Bellatorius by touring the country and giving a large number of speeches all dealing with the ongoing Merickian hostilities with the Kyro Republic and Lolloh; hostilities which under President Lucia had been greatly ignored and allowed to grow into varying degrees of threat levels. Gregore's election comes as a surprise to many pollsters who had proposed that the efforts of Cipius would not only keep Gregore from winning this election, but also hinder the chances of Cipius rewinning the upcoming Consul election next year.

While the Factio Dominium's success has been good for some and been quite the reason to hold Festivals, the government of the Gentem of Rerno has delivered an ultimatum to the Confederate Government declaring that if Gregore is allowed to be swore into office, Rerno will secede. Since around the mid 1980s, Rerno has been a stronghold for the Factio Societas, strongly opposing the right-wing politics of the rest of the nation. Up to yet, nothing major has come of this except for occasional arguments between the Gentem and Confederate governments over taxing rights, making this a new low for Rerno. President Sasha Lucia spoke on the matter this morning, reminding the Governor of Rerno of the Session Clause of the Merick Isles Constitution preventing a Gentem from seceding.

Simon Gregore Wins Merickian Elections, Rerno Threatens Secession!

The election results have just come in from the allied nation of the Merick Isles, and it confirms that the bold nationalist Simon Gregore and his party, the Factio Dominium have taken the nation by storm in a landslide election over the incumbent Factio Bellatorius and the unpopular Factio Societas. Factio Dominium, and mainly Gregore, had campaigned against what was seen as "appeasement policies" in regards to foreign deployments in the Lolloh-Ruolnik region and towards the hostile neighboring republic of Kyro.
Many here in Inyursta see this as a likely political forecast for the presidential elections following the end of Jack Peresque's term in 2016, where the National Republican Union (NRU) with the support of the smaller Martinezists will have a strong advantage going in due to the same concerns here over handling of the Lolloh Conflict, Greco-Bulgaria and incidents with Krjder.

Following the results of the popular election, a province in the south east of the Merick Isles, Rerno, has threatened succession if Simon Gregore is sworn in. So far the current president, libertarian-leaning Sasha Lucia has condemned these threats of political instability; however no word of why the province plans to secede from the confederacy other than the leftist leanings of their local government.

Rerno, the rogue province which is threatening to leave due to election results.

There is also speculation this severe in the Merickian confederate system will provoke further hostilities and aggression by their ancient rivals, Kyro, now ruled by a communist government. Tensions have almost never been calm between the two nations, and it was during the Third Kyromanian War in which the famous Inyurstano Pierre De'Calero is reported to have been killed.
As the closest ally of the Merick Isles and their people, Inyursta would almost certainly be drawn into any future conflict be it a war of secession or more disputes with Kyro...

People's Minister of Defense, Alfa Ewqik has announced that reconnaissance aircraft and vessels operating near the Occupied Territory of Murcelliok have reported a massive build-up of imperialist forces on the occupied territory and the deployment of eight carrier groups to the Occupied Territory of the Wesaile Islands!

For the first time, I want to congratulate the people of Merrick Insulaes of swearing new president, Simon Gregore, into office. Simon Gregore is a good and honest man, who believes in what we all believe; liberty, happiness an anti-communism. What I observe now is another commie plot to destroy a county from within. Commies do what they are best at; terrorize free nations.

Make no mistake; this IS a communist conspiracy to break Merrick Insulaes. This conspiracy is rooted deep into Merrick's political structure, made by corrupt commies whose house should be jail for all their corruption and crimes.

Rerno has no right to secede. Such attempt is illegal, because it is provoked by red plague that wants to terrorize it; in such situation, SACTO will stand besides Merrick Insulaes, to ensure that end of commies will be swift and deadly.

Today at 4:00 P.M EIT the Iudicialis Maximus -the Confederate Supreme Court for our English-only viewers- released an announcement to the press stating its recent decision on the review of Rerno Governor Naevius Herminius' Rerno Declaration of Session of last Friday. Indux Summus (Supreme Judge) Marshal Cathus released the following statement during the press release:

"My fellow Induxes and myself have come to an 8-0 agreement that the threats stated by Governor Herminius are unconstitutional on not one, but two accounts. The right of a Gentem to secede from the functioning Confederacy is strictly forbidden in Article IV section III of the Constitution as to prevent disunion and violent chaos among the Gentems. Atop that, it is unconstitutional for the government, whether it be Confederate or Gentem, to omit the results of an Election without strict proof of fraudulence or imposture within the election itself... specifically for said government's personnel gain as is the case here."

No response from Governor Herminius is available at this time, however, but it has been confirmed by the Governors Publius and Tactius of Caedes and Marshal Insulaes respectively that the Rernoian Governor has declared to the Consulate members that he refuses to attend the Special Consulate called by President Lucia two days ago... Other Governors have been asked to comment on this but have declined, mostly stating their intent not drag themselves into situation yet.

All that is known right now is that the inauguration of President-Elect Gregore will go on as planned; whether or not Rerno's Government will hold steady on its threats and whether the Confederate Government will act on such threats still remains hidden in a grey haze of political debate.

Confirming the information was big exercise of Mirskian Republican Army, announced today at 11.00. Manila, FFR-Philippines - As the new president of Merrick Islands, Simon Gregore, has been democratically elected, open thoughts on his election reached to the Isles as a result of a much broader opinionated Filipinos in the country that are worldly known for being critical for demonstrating the proper process of elections in democratic states. And a stance that even hyper-energized Filipino opinion is their anti-communism. The most vocal of all them was Lt. General Romualdo Marasigan, the deputy director of NICA [National Intelligence Coordinating Agency], who had been discussing his anti-communist stance to other statesmen in FFR.

According to Marasigan, his sources were concluding to him that the democratic elections were very peaceful and the secession of Rerno was unneeded. "I pointed it out that this Communist conspiracy will only last for a few decades left, for the reason that the world is closely being open to itself, and nothing more."

Asked about the insurgency that might erupt in the few days or weeks, he only hinted to the interviewer the few words, "The snake strikes nearby".

There were rumors that Filipino agents were lurking at Rerno and even in Lolloh for unknown, undisclosed reasons. This was not confirmed by NICA, nor by the Quirinese intelligence community, even Marasigan himself had no idea of such activity.

In one of his words, Marasigan even condemns Lolloh and Kyro, nations that are supporting the communist Rerno, with saying, "Lolloh is clearly lesser of a mindset, and so as Kyro. No wonder they learned everything from their barns and farms."

"Sigh, can these agitators not come up with new insults? Their ideology is so poor in theory, and even poorer in practice, that they must resort to name-calling liberal democracies "communist"! They insist that we are evil, when we allow our people to democratically elect representatives, and, furthermore, to vote in referendums, from time to time, using the direct democracy system that the Cuscatlanis so claim to love, yet trample repeatedly with their crack-down on dissenters. Do WE arrest the opposition, chain them naked in fetters, and throw them in a hole to rot? No, we do not, because that is called DEMOCRACY, where EVERYONE, not just those in power, have a right to speak their mind, on ANYTHING, including the overthrow of the government.
"Further, I am merely authorizing the deployment of military forces, to Rerno, to safeguard the right of international self-determination, which the Merick Isles themselves have said lets Ruolnik be free. If the Merickis withdraw their support, and refuse to recognize Ruolnik as independent, we will withdraw our recognition of Rerno.
"Until then, I have ASKED PARLIAMENT, the voice of the PEOPLE, to give me authority to deploy Lollohian naval assets to Rerno's territorial waters, to safeguard the sacred right of self-determination of peoples to choose for themselves whether they should be independent or not.
"However, I will delay the introduction of a bill to recognize Rerno as independent, until a referendum showing the people of Rerno wish for it, shall have passed.
"Finally, they claim we are Communist, but have they provided a definition? Examples? No! they have not, because they merely use "communist" as an insult, not an ideology! I, however, can prove that these people criticizing us, are, indeed, fascists: They wish to restrict the rights of marriage, a woman's right to choose, the ability of the opposition to voice their concerns! THESE ideals are what FASCISTS cling to, and also what Cuscatlan and the FFR cling to! Governor Herman Tactius Quits Consulate, Lucia Administration Stagnant

In another twist of events revolving around the recent election of Simon Gregore and many representatives of the Factio Dominium, Governor Herman Tactius of the Marshal Insulaes has reportedly quit the Special Consulate called by President Lucia earlier this week... The Marshalese Governor has cited that he and several other governors, all of the Southern League Gentems, are concerned over the state of Rerno seceding from the Union and are very distressed over the lack action by the Confederate Government still under Lucia.

Palma Arbor Post caught up with Governor Tactius at PAIA before the Governor's flight home and got his side of the story:

"The Confederate Government is charged with the protection of not only the individual Gentems, but the Union as a whole. President Lucia called together a special Consulate which I and my colleges expected to lay down the ground work for the some kind of action to prevent disunion; what we got, however, was lazy attempt to search ways to appease the traitor government of Rerno. I now understand I cannot expect Palma Arbor to put an ounce of effort into securing the borders of my Gentem, so I shall do it myself. As of now, a State of War exists between the Renro Insulaes and the Marshal Insulaes. Good day."

Only two hours after this shocking revelation by Governor Tactius, the Legislativa Gentem of Marshal approved a declaration of war on the Rerno Insulaes; therefore themselves violating the Constitution. To make matters worse, the Caedes Insulaes and Carina Insulaes Gentem Governments have also admitted to debating a full-on declaration of war as well, preventing any action by Lucia against the act without placing the country in the prime spot for complete desolation by Disunion.

Lolloh Looking for a Defeat?

Today the Chancellor of Lolloh, in a strange twist to the current crisis, declared that the Lollohian Navy, an organization often ridiculed for its horrible tactics and large death rates in battle, will be sent to Rerno to support the Rerno session movement. Merickian Naval brass has declared that the act is most likely a "bluff" or "desperate cry for attention" as the Lollohian navy is only rated as a Class Four Navy by the Naval Intelligence Department. While many agree that this should just be ignored just as the North Korean claims of launching nukes are, others are left to speculate if the Lollohian Navy is really dumb enough to do it.

President Jack Peresque starred with a blank face at the pitch his new Chief of Staff - none other than Antonio "Ironsides" DeLoroza - was trying to convince him of. Behind the emotionless expression he was contemplating both the risks and benefits to such a plan; but above all the pure embodiment of military schemes and deception manifesting themselves in the form of this Guerrocan-born former tank commander.
"Fine. But you will be the one to say it, not me. Its bad enough they already see me as quote "Peresque the Pansy" for even negotiating such a weak and insufficient peace treaty with Lolloh." He and Bulregard had developed a friendship on a personal level during the Ruol Wars, and the two of them had been the masterminds behind one of the biggest and successful military deceptions since Normandy - convincing the Lollohians that Bulregard would invade Tyvar (and even getting them to send over 3 million to their deaths against the Ruol DMZ) while DeLoroza and his armored corps pierced the weak defenses in Ninnipar and raced towards the Lollohian capital at Dekkar. Now he was at it again, and he fully expected his close ally to understand why...

Public Statement by Chief of Staff Antonio DeLoroza

To all citizens of Inyursta and all concerned parties around the globe;

It has come to the attention of myself, the military, President Peresque and the civilian government of this great nation of the recent remarks by the Lollohian Chancellor, and the apparent double standard presented by us and our allies. The Chancellor makes an excellent point, and we are furthermore convinced that the Gentum of Rerno does have a right to self-determination, and despite the Merick Isles being our closest ally we have no right to deny them the title of a sovereign state. Furthermore, because their chancellor has made such an excellent, well-thought-out, polite and non-inflammatory argument, we have also found it reasonable to no longer acknowledge Ruol Pact claims to the Ruol Sea.

There are many and most of you who will be angered and enraged by what appears to be a blatant display of disrespect and hostility to our allies; however, all I must ask is you keep the inevitable protests as peaceful as you can, and in time the grand truth shall reveal itself...

Lollohians truly are idiots. This bunch of imperialists who care only about their own interest, ignoring the interests of rest of the world. Lolloh shows again that they are intending to shove their opinion down into the throats of other men. Who says that Cuscatlani people want right to marry animals or murder their unborn children? Lollohians have no idea that in Gran Cuscatlan you can buy semi automatic rifle without problems. Only reason why I am in power now is because I am seen as father, not as tyrant, to the society; I rule as father, and I rule because people support me. And for second thing, let those idiots think for a second what is happening here. We are not, and never will be, democratic county, and God protect us from participating in that scam. Democracy in Lollohian style is right to choose social democratic party into office. Nothing more. They give you no choice and no opinion. All they want, is your blood, and remember it.

Gran Cuscatlan officially applauds efforts of Merrick Isles to restore order in Rerno. Nations have right to self-determine but not if it is done by leftist. Criminals have no rights, mi amigos, and everywhere we seen leftists we see thievery of public property, we see murder, rape and arson! Gran Cuscatlan does not recognize Rerno independence, and never will. Merrick islands have not abandoned us when we fought against enemigos; neither will we abandon them. Neither will we grant Rerno recognition, as this independence is illegitimate.
