Heping - Today, during a meeting with high-ranking officers from the Zhouranese People's Army Navy, Grand Admiral Yi Xing, Chairman of the People's Defense Council and Supreme Commander of the Zhouranese People's Army, has announced the plan to increase the number of Zhouranese warships to be sent to the Gulf of Aden, a place known for its piracy activity.

"It is in our best interest to protect ships that pass through the Gulf of Aden. The Somali pirates have been boarding ships and causing chaos and recklessness, and it is our duty to protect ships that pass through the gulf, as well as protect the lives of those onboard."

-Chairman Yi Xing

Meanwhile, about 3 Hongyu-class light guided-missile cruisers, 2 Shizhe-class amphibious assault ships and 1 Haishi-class heavy nuclear-powered guided-missile cruiser are on their way to the Gulf of Aden, ready to help Zhouranese warships that are already there. The ZPA Navy has sent warships to the Gulf of Aden since the rise of piracy, and the ZPA Navy has effectively escorted many Zhouranese and foreign ships that pass through the gulf.

Philippine Sea - the Philippine warship BRP Rajah Humabon was sunk today, after engaging in an eight second fight against a Taifeng-class light guided-missile cruiser. The antique Philippine warship fired its Mk.22 76mm U.S. 3"/50 Caliber Gun at the cruiser, although the Taifeng-class responded by firing its 130mm naval gun directly at the Philippine ship, sinking Rajah Humabon.

After the very short fight, the wreckage of the Philippine ship was recovered, and was sent to Yanjing. It is unknown why the Philippine warship fired at the Taifeng-class, but the Philippine Navy claimed that the Rajah Humabon was under the command of a rogue commander.
