The Cold War turned into an full nuclear war between the east and the west. Though billions of people died, there were those who made it out alive. It was these people that were the founding fathers of todays modern nations. Now, a two and a half decades later, new powers have emerged and the United States is no longer a world power. How will this new world turn out? That is up to you!

From Merovingia to the World

"...in domestic news, the bill to apply to the Coalition of Nations was ratified in Congress yesterday, with the full endorsement of Emperor Franz Louis. Once confirmed, it will mark the first time that Merovingia has participated in any international body. It is believed that this trend will open the country to further prosperity, though there is a vocal minority that believes easing Merovingia isolationist policies will result in foreign moral depredations. Those fears have been largely allayed by the emperor Himself, who has stated that Merovingians possess the fortitude and convictions necessary to ensuring the continued integrity of the nation.

"And speaking of His Holy Imperial Majesty, the emperor is hosting a delegation from Madrid this week. The mission include diplomats from both Spain and Portugal and the primary topic of discussion includes admission into the Holy Empire. Both formerly powerful nations have historically been staunchly Catholic, and their petition is no surprise. Should the emperor negotiate an agreeable petition, it will still need to pass votes in both the Synod and the Imperial Assembly.

"In related news, the Holy Merovingian Navy is conducting defensive training exercises in cooperation with the coastal forces of the Iberian nations. It is expected that the carrier Sainte-Empereur will participate as well, and may even permit civilian tours when in port at Lisbon and Barcelona.

"So as you can see if we march into the part of Azerbaijan that is only bordered by us and Armenia we can take in due to the fact that we have a bigger army, then we march Armenia, go to the capital and kill there leaders, the ones that fight at least, and then make the country one of ours. At this time we block off the waters of The Black Sea from Georgia, we also start to fire on there coast. After we are finished with Armenia and Azerbaijan we finish off the rest of Georgia. We also would bomb the places we leave to go further in." Said Chief Alshbar Rytalus.
"Approved, I'm willing to sent the few bombers we have to bomb the buildings of these nations until they are ours." Said Marshal Lisa Futura
"As I'm I, our fleets shall go to the Georgian Coast and ravage them if they must." Said Captain Ellaus Hue

"I'm sure that both the Maxamata and the Minomoto will argree to go to war." Said Prime Minster Anus Makin

Out of the 35 Representatives there were 21 votes for, 8 votes against, and 7 votes undecided. Therefor The Issue moved on to The Maxamata.

Out of the 18 Representatives plus Prime Minster Anus Makin there were 14 votes for and 5 votes against. Therefor war was going to come.

The Imperial Palace
Emperor Sadik II decided that they would invade under the cover of the night in about a week the war would start. An hour before the Invasion would start so it wouldn't be a War Crime by Ottoman Law. The Emperor would be the one that sentes the message to the Three Nations so he would decide when The War would start.

New Ottoman Empire/Azerbaijan Border

At least 3/4 of the active troops were stationed at the borders that went into Azerbaijan. At midnight they would march into Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan and take The City and then the rest of the Economic Region.

11:45 PM, war was declared against Azerbaijan. 12:00 AM, Troops marched threw the region
As the troops marched threw the city there were little to no resistance. There were some people who shot at the Troops but they were quickly killed as when ever someone started to shoot most of the Troops shot in that general direction that they heard the shooting coming from.
The Army Members that lived in the city were rounded up once the city was taken. They ether had to pledge themselves to The New Ottoman Empire or be killed. This would be know as The Pledge or Die Event, this happened at the City Hall of Azerbaijan. After that They marched threw the rest of the Region and they rounded up all the troops that lived in the region and did the same to them.

Although skepticism continues to flourish thoroughly within the air's grasp, it is a undisputed fact that economical, social and industrial growth is present."

"This, is hoped to bring a new age of stability on the new nation of Prussia, as Prussia could be seen as vulnerable to larger, and more powerful neighbors, as the fight for resources may continue. This has driven Prussia to find alternative solutions to the conflict, while remaining unpopular and unnoticed, it is one of the leading factors of the rapidly growing industry and reconstruction."

"Domestically speaking, the new bills have provided greater civil rights to the population, as well as more stable, efficient laws and policies to back them up. This has also been seen with the rise of more civil spending on the national budget, such as health care and education. And further draws stability to the new nation, as nationality is at a all-time high, whom has also seen Prussia's interests new possible organizations"

"The first maps of Prussia are being mass produced, which divides Prussia up into several regions, which makes it easier to recognize, manage and organize needs within the regions. Whom are shown to be as: West Prussia, Danzig, East Prussia, Warsaw Border Region, and South Prussia, whom is (somewhat) autonomous, although new infrastructure and local campaigns are soon to eliminate this, and fully merge the region."

"Interests have been sprung up in defensive and naval purposes, innovation is encouraged for both military and civil use for added benefit, due to a overwhelming desire for peace, new trade routes for new businesses are being constructed, although due to isolation since the nuclear outbreak, it is a slow process. Multiple defense barriers are being constructed along Prussia's borders, in no way is this meant to be a threat to other nations, instead, it is a mini-maginot line, which will protect Prussia from dangers, however this will not stop traditional trade routes, as the economy needs them, as does foreign policy. Speaking of foreign policy, many have agreed to transfer it into a more open, cleaner and effective state, with better relations across it's neighbors and the world."

Pedro Rojas in his brilliant crimson uniform and Beret stepped forward onto the balcony overlooking hundreds of people gathered to hear him speak. Over the radio and on television millions more watched and listened. Rojas saluted the people and a roar filled the air, slowly they quieted back down.

The Grand Marshal of the Federation began.

" My people, today we announce our consolidation of power. As I speak warlords in the Jungles, and Favelas are hunted down and captured or killed. Never again shall we be the subject of their greed and evil. As I speak to you our glorious army, the largest in the world cleanses our nation of the cancer that is organized crime. Tonight in one fell swoop we shall smash apart the terrible past that binds us to our weak yesterdays! Now we can finally look to the future. The beautiful and wondrous future in which we will become masters of our own fate!"

He continued his speech for nearly fifteen minutes before again saluting the crowds and retiring back into the Capitol building amidst the roar of the audience.

Troops ran left and right kicking down doors and tearing families from their homes. If nothing tying them to the warlords was found then they were given three hundred Federal Dollars, more than enough to repair any damage done and live well for a couple of weeks, however those found to have ties were arrested or executed. Screams and gunshots rang throughout the nation. Small areas that had been reinforced by the warlords put up tough defense as the army assaulted their positions. In one instance nearly fifty terrorists had blocked a tight winding road and attempted to ambush a platoon of Guarda. They managed to kill around thirty soldiers, however infantry mortars and flamethrowers were put to good use. By the end of the week over sixty percent of the Favela had been succesfully secured. The same was happening all over the nation.

The pickup popped across the gavel till it finally came to a stop. The Guarda squad hopped out and began walking into the Jungle. They were part of larger operation that had begun nearly a month before. It was I me for the Gonzales brothers to get theirs. The Gonzales had become the last major warlords in the north of the Brazilian district. They had a veritable army with which to fight and had resisted much of the Guarda's attacks easily. However recently an informant had given up information about a tunnel road the Gonzales forces used to cart supplies and products in and out of the compound they were based out of. Over three thousand Guarda troops descended on the tunnel, most armed with explosives. Supporting them were two attack choppers that were to arrive after the ground assault had broken through the tunnel, or destroyed it. There was also an entire artillery regiment in support that would open fire right before the attack.

While the majority of the force moved into positions near the tunnel to prepare for a bum rush the rest of the division some 2000 men and two tanks were to attack the base itself up the steep ridges that made the faces of the compound.

"...the diplomatic mission from Spain and Portugal is reportedly proceeding remarkably well. Both of the Iberian nations are very much in line with current spiritual policies here in Merovingia and it is expected that Emperor Franz Louis will receive a petition from to allow the nations to join the Holy Empire. Such a petition would require ratification by the Synode, though passing the bill is considered to be quite likely.

"Trade talks with neighbouring Prussia have furnished positive results. Import tariffs have been reduced by a third to encourage movement of more raw materials into the Empire and to ship abroad those manufactured goods produced domestically. Similar agreements have been forged with Spain and Portugal and Italy. Talks are expected to begin with the Polish-Baltic Empire later this month.
