REPUBLIC CITY --- Aaron Yitsune

With so many new players coming into the world of Avatarian Ice Hockey, many of our fans struggle to know who is who. In a sea of new names and old names, it helps to get a firm grip on who's who before the start of the tournament.

BIOGRAPHY

Born to a butcher from the Northern Tribes who happened to fall madly in love with a Fire Nation airline stewardess, Song Unataq grew up relatively average for a Watertribesman. Starting to play hockey at the age of seven, Song discovered his waterbending when he was on the ice and got into a bit of a scuff with another player. After that fateful day, he would split his time between waterbending classes, normal school, and hockey. The time spent between three schools taugh the young Song about time management; a skill he often credits with his success. After graduating from secondary school, Song chose to complete his National Service requirement at the Republic Military Academy of the Northern Water Tribes in the capital of the Northern Tribes, Iqaluit. At the RMA-NWT, Song spent his time perfecting not only his combat skills in bending, but also his skating skills, playing for one of the top ranked Military teams in the Republic Defence Forces.

At Adirolf, Song would attempt to garnish a spot on the Division I Gators team; however, at just 19-years-of-age, he did not possess the skills that Coach Huynh Le Nam thought needed some improving. Just two seasons later, Song made it to the Division I, in part thanks to constant training with the Adirolf Strength and Forwards coaches during the down time; as well as working with Adirolf alum and AHL star forward Ping Mao, who seemed to take a liking to the young Watertribesman.

Team Info

Patistan has never had a fully fledged ice hockey team, they sent a group of 50 year olds to the 22nd WCoH in which Patistan finished 5th in their group of 8. Patistan then participated in the 24th WCoH and now sent a group of 10 year old who also didn't surprise anyone. After some major changes in the Ice Hockey Federation of Patistan,Patistan agreed to send a team to 25th WCoH. This time they held trials for a position in the team but sadly no one could make it as they were all crappy players,so henceforth the went to Quebec and met the small Patistani community there. They held some trials and saw amazing players and decided that Patistan is going to be represented by Patistani-Quebecois players.

"Welcome to the Royal Kingdom of Quebec, or Quebec for short, and we arrived just in time to meet the national team before they start their preparation for the short group stage in the World Cup of Hockey. But first, a little bit of soothing music for you with some shots we took earlier in the day, to show you where the national team will be staying: Attawapiskat!"

- some very irrelevant dubstep music starts with images of Attawapiskat on screen, last image is a nightly overview of Quebecom Centre -

"And now, in front of Quebecom Centre, and yes it's cold here, the national team of Ko-oren... just arrived. They came here by boat: Dragonfly Cruise's Trilobite. From Mika to Attawapiskat, which is the closest Quebecois city to Ko-orenite soil. And in the first van, the Thaulandian players of the national team. Always a bit disgruntled they can't appear as their own national team, but always happy to do well for us. They all play for Thaulandian sides in the National League... and they're pretty noticeable: they don't speak Ko-oran at all and you're more likely to hear Russian than English, Dutch, French, Portuguese or Japanese... Artem, how are you feeling just after arriving here?"

"Prretty good, we khad enough space to move arround on the Trrilobite. But why we need to stay in this frrozen village I do not know. See you arround"

"Funny he should say that, coming from frozen Thaulandi. Famous Thaulandian players on the squad: Konstantinovich, who we just saw, and Novotný, our main winger. He's the short guy in the back of the group. Yevgeny Ivanov, the loudmouth in the middle of the huddle is our primary defenseman... and visibly the team leader. Hey, there's the second van, the Ko-orenite players should be on there!"

- shot of a van with doors opening, and visibly more colourful people coming out of it -

"Here are the Ko-orenite Conference players... speaking whatever language they feel comfortable in. Here's our new starting winger, Marten Kuijper... Nervous that you have to be this central to the Ko-orenite game so soon?"

"Not really, we've got three shifts of players and I'm on one of them. I can trust these guys, we had some good tournaments before!"

"How's your Russian?"

"Hah! Not so good, unfortunately. I expect Ko-oran to be the team's language anyway... or English. Although you can never know with a Thaulandian staff. Everything will work out, I'm sure!"

"And there's Jutri Latirailu, our prime goalie for so so long. Talking to Stefansson, our second goalie. And the group of defensemen who are not assigned to the first two shifts... Van der Aart and Bradley. The rookies. All the players are now inside for their first feet on Quebecois ice later tonight just before bedtime. The coaches should already be there, too. So before coming here, the team practiced in the Noordhoek Ice arena for two weeks, playing the remaining players of Noordhoek Ice in an exhibition game, then took the train down through Sterrenwolde where they played the Capitals, to Miradela from where they embarked for Mika. There they enjoyed the warmer temperatures for two days before embarking again for Quebec... and here we are. Oh yeah, the NT won the exhibition games 5-2 and 2-0, goals by Anatolievich, Johnsson, Kuijper and Song. Most of the unassigned players - that's players with no jersey number - got some time on the team, and it paid off. Here at the Quebecom Centre, they will solely play games amongst themselves... and hopefully steer clear from injury. Mieraskya is incoming in three days, so the team might be in Quebec a bit late, but at least the journey here was not very far. And with the team all together in the right place, we finally have the 'something big is starting soon' atmosphere in place!"

(OOC: don't know if it counts for the RP challenge... it's not so much the prep in Quebec but rather prep in Ko-oren, but anyhow the two places are pretty close together anyway, it's like playing at home)

One year ago, if you told Cristobal Rosenberg that he was going to almost die in a plane crash, then he would have called you crazy and left you alone, immediately forgetting the words that you had told him.

But one year ago, that was exactly what happened. Cristobal Rosenberg was onboard a plane when it crashed, and he almost died because of it.

There was nothing that day to indicate that something very bad was about to happen. Cristobal had boarded Mistralair Flight 6703 with his parents, Justin and Ofelia, and his younger brother Trenton. Trenton Rosenberg was a member of Abanhfleft's U21 men's ice hockey team, and his family was coming with him because, being just 15 years old, was not of legal age yet. At least according to Fleftic law.

This flight was carrying both the men's and women's U-21 ice hockey teams, in a rare instance of both teams coming to practice in the same arena. This meant that a lot of players were traveling with their families, making for a crowded flight. But even with all these additions, the flight carried 98 passengers in total, well within the capacity of the Boeing 737 that will fly them all from Concordia in Bellingshausenland to Lotharstadt in Xemlice, after successful training sessions under the experienced eye of Bellingshausener trainers. As the plane was coming in to land in Lotharstadt, something happened to the airplane. Most of the survivors reported hearing a loud explosion before the plane went down.

Cristobal Rosenberg lapsed into a coma immediately after the crash. He woke up seven months after the crash, only to learn that his younger brother Trenton had died, along with 33 other players from both teams, and 10 members of the players' families, and the crew. The whole nation had already done and grieved for its lost youth players, but not Cristobal Rosenberg. He had been asleep for seven months, unaware of what had happened in the world. And now he was being told that his younger brother had been killed in the crash, and buried without him even knowing it? It was so unfair! He wanted to cry out against the heavens, smash things, and in general just be angry at the world. But that was quickly replaced with a loss of self-worth. Trenton Rosenberg was to have been part of the next generation of Fleftic hockey players, and now he was gone, along with 33 others because of something that happened aboard that aircraft that no one still knew or understood. What did Cristobal have to look forward to now?

Cristobal Rosenberg stopped playing hockey for four months after he woke up from his coma. Wandering and aimless, for those four months he looked more like a tramp than a famous hockey player. He really had no idea what he was supposed to do now. Life seemed to have no point for him.

One day, he met Ted Kawakami, a fellow teammate for both Yeniguz Dolphins and the Abanhfleft men's ice hockey team. At first, Kamakawi failed to recognize him, because he had been neglecting his appearance so much. But after that initial awkwardness, Kawakami and Rosenberg managed to recognize each other, and Kawakami took Rosenberg out for drinks. Their small talk was noncommittal at first, but then inevitably the topic came to the crash. Rosenberg told Kawakami how the aftermath of the crash had left him drained of almost all energy, and how he had lost interest in playing ice hockey, and practically everything concerning ice hockey. Kawakami suggested that they watch a game of ice hockey, just to see how it would affect Rosenberg. Rosenberg, having nothing else to do, agreed to join Kawakami.

After the game, Rosenberg told Kawakami that he felt... good watching the game. And he also wanted to play a little bit once again. So Kawakami set Rosenberg up for a return to the Dolphins' training rink, and soon Rosenberg was back in form. In fact, one could say that he was playing better than before, having been inspired to give his all after his near-encounter with death. And now, he was back in the starting lineup of the country's first ever appearance in the World Cup of Hockey.

Gregoryisgodistan 1–0 The United Kingdoms of Zackalantis

"Hello, I'm Sportscaster ISASDJJ239 and we are coming to you live from Vaugania to bring you Gregoryisgodistan Ice Slaves hockey. It is Gregoryisgodistan's first game defending their championship and number 1 world ranking. Let's go down to the Ice for the national anthems. The Zacklantis national anthem will be sung by a young Zacklantian girl, followed by the Gregoryisgodistani national anthem to be sung by Singer XXXU88W88W as part of her pre-WorldVision tour. And here is that young Zacklantian girl. We most certainly did not dub a man singing a fake national anthem over it. This is the real anthem."

A man's voice then comes on, singing the following lyrics

Zacklantis is so very stupid
So very stupid we like to eat pancakes
We smoke crack and dance like a drunk
Because we are always drunk at 6 AM
Zacklantis Zacklantis Zacklantis
We are very stupid, we are alcoholics
Dum dum dum dum dum dum dum
Yeehaw! Yeehaw! Yeehaw!
All praise our grand leader
Who is a two-year old beaver
We like beavers
Yeehaw hey!

"Hooray to that beautiful Zacklantian girl for that beautiful rendition of their very real anthem. Now, it's time for our anthem. Join along singing or die!"

Gregory Gregory Lord Almighty
We Praise You We Worship You
Gregory Gregory Lord Almighty
Master of Gruel and Prune Juice
He Gives Us Gruel And Prune Juice Yes
We Worship Him as a Deity and Bow Down To Him Whenever We See Him
On TV or In Person or In Statue
Gregory Gregory Lord Almighty
We Love You We Worship You
Gregory Gregory Lord Almighty
A million praises unto you
Gregory Gregory Is Immortal
He Considers Us His Little Playthings
A term He Only Uses In Jest Because He Has Infinite Mercy for Us All
Gregory Gregory We Adore Thee
We Bow Down To Thee In Praise
Thou Art More Smart Than Sir Einstein So We Say "Einstein Who?"
Gregory Gregory Master of Slave Labor
We Are All Your Slaves in Heart
Some Of Us Are Slaves to this Nation
Some of Us Just Wish We Were
Gregory Gregory Inventor of the Solar Bomb
Which We Use to Vanqiush Our Enemies
Gregory Gregory Master of Everything
Thou Art Lord and Thou Art God
Gregory Gregory You Wrote This Song
Our Favorite Song In The Entire World
We Sing it Every Hour on The Hour
Like Clockwork We Praise your Lordship
Gregory Gregory We Bow Down Again
We Fly This Flag Outside Our Home
Gregory Gregory We Have Shrines in Our Homes
In Our Shops and Everywhere
Gregory Gregory We Worship You Day and Night
In Our Dreams We even Worship You
Gregory Gregory This is the Only Song We Sing!

"Now, it's time for the game. Puck drop and the opening face-off is won by Gregoryisgodistan, Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Harry Rupertson skating down the ice but it's taken away by the defender. And since Zacklantis didn't submit a roster, we'll use really insulting names and say it was taken away by Butthole face. Butthole face down the ice, passes to Ugly Drunk, who shoots but it's saved by Enemy Crusher Furfy "Junior Fatso" McFattel.

...

"3:09 left in the first period, here comes Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland down the ice, passes to Enemy Crusher Porky McCrushawitz, who shoots, GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!! GREGORYISGODISTAN LEADS 1-0! And now Enemy Crusher Porky McCrushawitz is celebrating by practicing his crushing skills on the goalkeeper, perhaps preparing for the Saintland match tomorrow. And now the Zacklantian goalkeeper is dead. What a glorious start to this game as Gregoryisgodistan leads 1-0.

...

"13:55 left in the second, Ugly PupuPlatter down the ice for Zacklantis and he is walloped into the boards by Enemy Crusher Crushallov St. Lind. That's got to hurt. Indeed, PupuPlatter in serious pain and Enemy Crusher Crushallov St. Lind is going to be given a five minute major. That really ticked him off. Now he is threatening to crush the officials, and indeed they are all crushed. Perhaps he too just wants practice for the Saintland game. Here come the alternate officials and they will keep the five minute penalty but not assess further penalties to Enemy Crusher Crushallov St. Lind, perhaps because they fear for their lives. It's still 1-0 Ice Slaves.

...

"1:09 left in the second, here comes Pervert Chaser JDJJ8138, he shoots, he scores, but they're calling a crease violation. And it looks like the ref accidentally touched his genital area when signaling for a crease violation. And that's going to set Pervert Chaser JDJJ8138 off. "LEWD CONDUCT LEWD CONDUCT YOU TOUCHED YOUR PRIVATE AREA!" shouted Pervert Chaser JDJJ8138. Then he took his pervert cutting knife, ran over to the official, and dickapitated and castrated him. He then threw the severed privates into the stands so the ref wouldn't get them back. He was assessed a game misconduct for violence against officials, and the official in question was taken to the hospital while police combed through the stands looking for the private parts in a vain hope of reattaching them. They failed.

...

"43 seconds left in the game, and Zacklantis pulls their goaltender for an extra attacker. Here comes Ugly Ugly Ugly. He shoots, stick save by Enemy Crusher Furfy "Junior Fatso" McFattel, cleared down the ice by Enemy Crusher Bigward McFooples but that will be an icing. 29 seconds left. Face-off won by the Ice Slaves. Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Harry Rupertson passes it to Enemy Crusher Ronald Fatgoat who skates down the ice with it, 10 seconds left, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and that's the game. Ice Slaves win their opener. Saintland is next and we'll see how many of them get crushed. It should be a glorious game regardless. You can catch it right here on Sports TV!"

"Good Evening, Neu Engollon. I'm Karl Demais with you on the NETV Sports 7 Update. Tonight we go again to the World Cup of Hockey in Quebec and look at the past match the Ibex just played with unranked Nova Terra Divinia, who were outscored 3 to 1 with a final on the board of 12-4 for the Ibex. A great start to the Cup group stage for the Neu Engollon National team, with great stars Terfram and Volkzein being the top scorers, making a point to shoot one puck in the Divinian net each period. The other six goals were claimed by Velper, Manon, Sameaux, Delmasso, Dernbech and defenseman Kemmelz. With the strong focus on offense, they were bound to let some goals slip through, though, as happened. Soltis, who had most of the time in the net this game, could not be reached for comment about letting a new unranked team rack up such a point total, as he slipped into the locker room and back to the hotel unseen.

We had some coverage earlier as they went through their drills on the ice and even then, Soltis seemed to not be up to his usual standards during practice. The lines went through Half Ice Drills, Dump and Chase, Regroups and two and three on one drills, with Pascal backing up the lone defensemen, who rotated out. As Vince Gaspard took over the net, Soltis seemed to glide back out, missing the gate and coasting along the rink wall to circle back for it...As we see in this footage. A portend to come of his loose grasp on being in the moment? Possibly, but I think we had enough during the Divinian match up. A few Quebecois were in the rink to watch the Ibex drill and were pointing animatedly at Soltis. Seemed like the Ibex had a really brief time before the next squad needed to take the ice, so it wasn't as full a practice to watch as we would've liked. Let's hope that they can seal up the defense and Soltis gets time to space out more off the ice than on, as they take on their biggest group game.

Tomorrow night, they will face Hicana, who are 18th ranked, and it will probably be the fiercest opposition they will face in the group stage. You can catch the game here on Sports 7, with the replays and additional coverage on NETV Sports 19. Thanks for watching."

I'm Not Intimidated by Enemy Crushers
by: Prince Josephus

Recently, a group of hooligans from Gregoryisgodistan known as the "Enemy Crushers" announced their intentions to attack me during our match against their so-called "National Hockey Team," which is really nothing more than a collection of thugs whom we should have executed 8 months ago when we had the chance.

They may have threatened to kill me, but I will not be intimidated. Everybody knows that these threats are nothing more than hot air and I'm getting sick and tired of how we allow these clowns to intimidate us into backing down from them. Well, I'm not scared of them. I know that they aren't going to actually do anything.

In other news, we just defeated Friday Freshman by an 8 to 5 margin. Thomas Clovius scored a hot trick against the unranked opposition. Both Murrius brothers scored a goal. The other 3 goals were scored by Artorius, Herminius and Longus. While we jumped out to an 8 to 2 lead after 2 periods, Laetonius conceded 3 goals after I pulled myself out of the game. After that, I say bring on the Ice Slaves. Unlike the rest of their opponents of late, we're not intimidated by them and we're certainly not scared of any "Enemy Crushers" who should be hanging from the gallows rather than skating around the ice. As in the World Cup, we are going to beat Gregoryisfraudistan today because God is on our side.

Prince Josephus is the Crown Prince of Saintland WA and the starting goalie for the Saintland National Hockey Team. He is also the captain of the National Hockey Team. He is the younger brother of King Petrus XX and the twin brother of Prince Andreas.

Friskney Eaudyke Ice Hockey team

After watching the progress of the Friskney Eaudyke handball team in the Handball World Cup, the Ministry of Sport seem to think this whole international sport lark might be a good idea. They've decided to take it a bit more seriously this time around and actually sent some semi-decent players. Well, semi-decent meaning that they've actually played hockey before. No idea if they're good, mind, they just know what's supposed to be happening. Usually.

The headlines throughout all of Zenic read, “Four-to-Puck” with the caption underneath reading, “Zenic finally discover way to beat Sunrise Islands: PLAY THEM ON ICE.”

Henri Giehl’s smile was childishly wide as he read the Zenician article on his smartphone. He couldn’t help himself: his team had gone out and stomped the eighth best national team by four goals to put them second in group H after the first round of games. Two goals from his first line left wing Jernej and one apiece for his first and second line centers, Tennison and Herut, respectively, convinced him that he made the right choice in keeping the depth chart the same as last world cup. The overall stats of the game also brightened his smile. Looking them over in the article, his team attempted 23 shots compared to 37, 3 power play opportunities each and both teams had 6 minutes worth of penalties. It was a pretty competitive game, even if it didn’t appear so in the box score.

He looked away from his phone and at the plate in front of him full of scrambled eggs and pancakes. He ate in silence for some time, savoring the Vauganian cooking in the restaurant at the base of the team hotel. Once finished, the waiters came to take away the dirty dishes and bring him his strong, black coffee. He thanked the young man and gave him an early tip as he now moved his gaze to the everyday action that took place outside on the streets of Sorochuk. Henri began to wonder how other parts of Vaugania were, which eventually led him to think about the upcoming match against Sudenland. They didn’t really have much on the new nation besides the tight 3-3 tie against the other new nation in the group, Mieraskya. Henri believed the only thing he could do to help his players for this match was to keep on training so they were ready for game time.

“Where can a man get some beef jerky here,” Giehl asked himself as he left the restaurant to find his favorite pregame snack.

From the diary of Kevin Busby
Montreuil, Vaugania
Morning of MD2 from Hotel Sainte Therese d'Avile

I still don't know how we did that.

We were down 2-1 with a minute to go, and Sherm was trying to pull the goalie, Wamper Itasca. I call him Wham; he's a Loflinlander by parentage and marches to a different beat from the rest of us. He'd done everything. Stopped 44 shots. We were in the game because of him.

But Wham wouldn't leave net for some reason. He got down on his knees and sort of hid his face in his pads, like he was praying. That's par for the course in Vaugania, it's a very Catholic country. They had priests all over in the pregame ceremonies.

Later we found out Wham was having a seizure.

But that's something for later. None of us were looking at the puck, which was in the Estope zone. The enemy were turtling, content with a 2-1 opening win against a lower-ranked team, and we were passing it around. Any bunch of Canadian fans would've been screaming, "Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!" but not in Borschland. You've got to wait until the perfect moment.

Our third line was out there, and the first line was ready to go. With a minute left, we wanted Kool, the Magic Cannon, in there.

But both Sherm (that's the coach, for you non-Borschlanders out there) and I were staring at the goalie who was staring at his shoetops, or whatever, and all of a sudden there's this roar-- the Vauganians adopted us for the game, I guess because we were underdogs-- and there's Wils coming out of a scrum with his stick up in the air.

We looked at the replay. Squeegee-- Sujge de Beer-- had shot the puck finally, there'd been a rebound, Estope defensemen went to clobber anyone in a black sweater, and Wils kind of foxed his way between two Estopians and cleaned up the garbage. The heroes of the Royal Alexandre tournament did it again.

Not the prettiest goal in the world, but it got us level, and it got us a point against a better team.

We still don't know anything about Estope, but they grinded out a couple of good goals against us and were a gritty, experienced team. Maybe they were standing on their old laurels from past World Cups a bit. Maybe Wham had the magic going. He stopped a lot of shots. For us, it was Lagerman who got the other goal on a really nice laser from the right of the slot.

Afterwards, the team doctor examined Wham, and we rushed him to a Vauganian hospital. Montreuil is a modern city and they are used to foreigners here. I interpreted from a French doctor, who also spoke English when he felt like it.

It wasn't a concussion, he said. Wham had a condition. An undiagnosed one. Epilepsy, or something similar. It had never happened in a game, and Wham had never told us about it. The doctors said it could be very dangerous if he had the same thing happen and a puck came at him when he was helpless.

So we've got a lot to deal with here. But we've also got a point, and that's what counts.

Interview on Borschland Radio International
with Archdeacon Martin ter Martujns
First Chaplain, Borschland National Ice Hockey Association

ANNOUNCER: Good evening, it is 21:00 hours Greenwich Mean Time, Tellus Universe [an alternate universe for Borschland; includes WCOH nations], and tonight the Black Swans of Borschland have played to a two-all tie versus the Holy Republic of Estope. As Borschland also happens to be playing in the World Cup of Hockey in the Holy Catholic Republic of Vaugania, Borschland Radio International thought it appropriate to call in an expert on the Church of Borschland who is also traveling with the team for this tournament, Archdeacon Martin ter Martujns, to inform the world about the Catholic Church of Borschland. First of all, welcome to the program, sir.
MARTUJNS: Taanke vijl [English: Thank you very much]
ANNOUCNER: Sir, Borschland's national ice hockey side has traveled to Vaugania, which is described as a Holy Catholic Republic. What is the relation of the Catholic Church to the Church of Borschland?
MARTUJNS: [Speaks in Borschic, English translation is overdubbed] The Church of Borschland considers itself to be part of the one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic church of God. But because of Borschland's history and its unique setting in the universes, God has also seen fit to set us apart as a particular, holy people.
ANNOUNCER: You are referring to our participation in the periodic phase shifts between universes?
MARTUJNS: Precisely. The roots of the Borschic church are in the Netherlands, from which our ancestors dominantly come, and in a sect of believers known as the Family of Love, or Familists. A group of these people came to the Continent of Borschland in 1648 seeking a place where their quietistic beliefs could be practiced in all peace. As they were sailing near to the small port town of Nojstaff, now in the area of the city of Lojren, they could see no land, though by sextant they understood themselves to be precisely on course. Low on provisions and water, and almost at the point of despair, their prayers to the Almighty were answered when the Continent experienced a phase shift and land appeared. St. Humbert vaan Vlijcht, the leader of the expedition, immediately recalled the words of the Evangelist, who in his revelation at Patmos, said,

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, and there was no more sea.

The group landed at Nojstaff, were greeted with joy by the inhabitants and Loflin neighbors, and the story of the providence of God spread in the tiny colony, and finally back to the Netherlands. Presently, the faithful in Borschland discerned that their land was a kind of New Jerusalem, to which the Revelation refers.
ANNOUNCER: And that text from the Revelation of St. John is now used for our national anthem.
MARTUJNS: Precisely. And so the Borschic people have discerned that our nation is a place set apart, the land and the feast promised to many generations, to be a light to the people of all universes.
ANNOUNCER: And you would consider the Church of Borschland to be Catholic in all other respects?
MARTUJNS: Certainly. Although now that we have attained to the Paradise of God, we do not use the Sacraments of the Church in the same way as others. These sacraments are not needed, for we have communion with God in an immediate fashion.
ANNOUNCER: Neither is there a need for a traditional priesthood.
MARTUJNS: No, for all Borschic believers have immediate access to God. But our brotherhood and sisterhood of subdeacons, deacons, and archdeacons is set aside for those who, as we have discerned, are called to the "heavenly chorus" who sit beside God's throne, giving continual praise and thanksgiving for God's glory. These are the people who maintain worship, the various chapels, and the pastoral duties of the church.
ANNOUNCER: And how do the beliefs--
MARTUJNS: We prefer to call them truths.
ANNOUNCER: Excuse me, truths of the Borschic church affect the citizens of Borschland in their everyday lives?
MARTUJNS: The truths appear chiefly every day in the moral character of our people, which comes from the indwelling of the Spirit in our midst. We have also resisted the blandishments of the modern era, choosing to abstain from most of its technological achievements, in order to live a peaceful, orderly, and godly life.
ANNOUNCER: And if a visitor to Borschland were seeking spiritual guidance on the benefits of membership in the Borschic church, where might they go?
MARTUJNS: Any deacon or subdeacon is able to be of counsel to a seeker. But chiefly, enlightenment is found by pilgrimage to Borschland. We know it is no light thing to come here. But the blessings are many.
ANNOUNCER: Thank you, sir, for your time.
MARTUJNS: And thank God for God's time.
ANNOUNCER: And now it is time for a musical selection from the sacred repertoire of the Borschic church, beginning with "O Light of Lights," motet in D minor by Horaz vaan Starkamp, 1711, as performed by the Thomas a Kempis Koraalzing and the Stafflischeconcertgebouw, under the baton of Carl Greningen vaan Kaalsentreempter. This is Borschland Radio International.

Archdeacon Martujn ter Martujns is the second cousin of Rachael Martujns Reinhardt, wife of national ice hockey team head coach, Sherman Reinhardt.

Gregoryisgodistan 0–1 Saintland

Gregoryisgodistan Crushes Saintland.... Literally

After a ridiculous, farcial match, in which Saintland defeated Gregoryisgodistan 1-0 amid a series of horrendous calls by the refs that made it obvious Prince Josephus had bribed them, the Ice Slaves decided to get revenge. It all started when Prince Josephus decided to taunt Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland. "Guess you didn't crush any of us," the Prince said. "We'll see about that," said Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland and proceeded to crush Prince Josephus to death as a raucous cheer rose from the Gregoryisgodistani section. "DEATH TO SAINTLAND!" they shouted amid claps, flag waving, and cheers. The Prince of Saintland was dead and this was a time to rejoice. But the Gregoryisgodistanis were not done crushing just yet. Enemy Crusher Bigmac Fatfrize ran over to Ioannes Bruccius and crushed the first-line left wing to death as the crowd cheered even louder. Nobody liked the Sanctii in the crowd, because Quebec is also Saintland's archenemy. So the fans were now all chanting and singing "DEATH TO SAINTLAND." Then, Enemy Crusher Furfy "Junior Fatso" McFattel took an example from his father and crushed Petrus Murrius to death as the crowd went absolutely nuts and insane. At the same time, Paulus Longus was crushed by Enemy Crusher Crushy McCrushawitz while Lucas Trebatius was crushed by Enemy Crusher Porky McCrushawitz. Eventually, the remainder of the Sanctii players fled to the locker room in terror and the Ice Slaves did not pursue them.

Lord Almighty Gregory commended the Enemy Crushers, especially Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland, for their brave and noble efforts. "All the enemy crushers acted very bravely and nobly," said Lord Almighty Gregory. "They crushed the wicked, heathen Sanctii to death exactly as we promised. Britonisea, Free Republics, and San Jose Guayabal will be next. Even though the Sanctii won, they really lost because so many of their players are dead. And did I mention that we killed Sanctii royalty for the second time? (OOC: Actually the first.) And if you throw in the Republican Consul who we assassinated, that makes three heroic killings of Enemy List leaders in only a few months. (OOC: We actually did do that one, but nobody believes it.) This is a glorious day in Gregoryisgodistan. I will be quadrupling prune juice and gruel rations between now and Creation Day. Of course, there will be no gruel or prune juice rations on Creation Day since it is a day of fasting and love and prayer to me, the one True God of the Multiverse. Saintland fails to recognize this and instead worships this eye-ee-zus fellow whose name they can't even spell correctly. This is positively entertaining. Our Enemy Crushers are brave and noble heroes. They will each be receiving a reward of 1 billion greggygodbucks, except for Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland, who will receive a reward of 100 billion greggygodbucks for crushing Prince Josephus. The Prince is dead. All hail Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland. Prince Petrus, you will be next. We will assassinate every member of the Sanctii Royal Family. It is worth noting that a Gregoryisgodistani is last in line to the throne of Saintland so we just have to kill everyone ahead of him and he will be King. There is now one less person in between our very own Prune Farmer JZ102ZPAZ and the throne of Saintland. When Prune Farmer JZ102ZPAZ takes over as King, and it will happen eventually, he will immediately convert the country to the Church of Gregoryisgodistan, and since the Free Republics government is linked to Saintland, they will convert as well or be overthrown. If this does not happen within a few months, we may be forced to launch a nuclear attack against Saintland to eliminate that nation from existence. Saintland must be destroyed or overthrown. If one does not happen, the other shall instead. All hail the Enemy Crushers. Death to Saintland!"

Meanwhile, the Enemy Crushers vowed to crush more enemies against Britonisea, San Jose Guayabal, and Free Republics, all of whom are on Gregoryisgodistan's Enemy List. In the words of Enemy Crusher Krusholli Crushsaintland, "It will be a glorious day when we crush some more heathen hockey players from the three wicked nations of Britonisea, San Jose Guayabal, and Free Republics. We will destroy them. We will prevail. We will crush them all to death. And I would also like to remind the Vauganian authorities in response to a message I received that this game and all our group stage games are being played in The Royal Kingdom of Quebec, so you have no authority over this. Back off unless you want to be added to the Enemy List as well. Lord Almighty Gregory is God, and he could destroy you if he wanted to. Be glad he doesn't, and do nothing to change that if you want to live. All hail Lord Almighty Gregory! Death to Saintland! Death to Free Republics! Death to Britonisea! Death to San Jose Guayabal! I am the Enemy Crusher who crushed Prince Josephus! Remember this day forever!"

OOC: our anthem is definitively a ripoff of Swedish anthem, with some changes in just two words. You can see how creative I'm :p

In the match against Free Republics in WCoH 25 Queen Margaret I was sitting in the VIP box, watching as the national team played in that game

"Bring me a glass of water, please," said Her Highness the waiter.

"I know what I bring, Her Highness," said the waiter, while he was in a hurry by the glass.

"He then asked to stand to sing the sacred notes of the national anthem of San Jose Guayabal" said the voice of the stadium.

The flag with the new Scandinavian cross took up the hockey rink, it was definitely a moment of joy for fans of hockey in SJG, the vast majority are of Swedish origin and Russian.

The national anthem began to sound the present fans began to sing in Swedish at full intensity and the patriotic fervor that always characterized them:

"Du gamla, Du fria, Du fjällhöga sud..." (Thou ancient, Thou free, Thou montainous South.) Fans chanted and also did the famous Québécois-Norrish singer Marius Cournoyer as they watched how the players of the national team hockey sang in melancholy, showing patriotism of colossal proportion, something that manifested after the fall of the communist regime and the arrival of the Social-Democracy and the Green Movement to the power. Free Republics players began to taunt the players when Guayabalenses ended with the last words of the anthem. "Ja, jag vill leva, jag vill dö i Södra." (Yes, I want to live and die in the South.)

After that, a battle began on the ice, players realize SJG teasing rival took their sticks and proceeded to brutally attack players of Free Republics, while fans shouted in perfect English, "Down with the Republicans! "and "Death, Death to Gregoryisgodistan". At that very moment the Queen fell asleep because the action would take a while.

After the end of the game.

His Majesty awoke late in the game, losing game action in which SJG overcame with a 4-2 Queen suddenly asked his assistant about the game.

"That !, finished the game. Give me more details about it, please," said the Queen.

"The game concluded 4-2 in our favor, the goals were made by Pedersen" the assisant said.

"Excellent news, of course, when we will face the noobs of Slaveland (Gregoryisgodistan)" said the Queen.

"In the last game, but if you want we can make a conspiratorial plan," said the assistant.

"With pleasure, why not call paramilitaries of The Death Squad for a little scare to Lord All Mighty Greg, I want blood from that slaves in that game, I give a fu*k about the consequences of that, but they must suffer!" said the Queen.

I hae, your majesty. As you command! "Said the assistant.

KAZIRSTANI CENTRAL NEWS AGENCY

Kazirstan Defeats Semarland 4 to 3

Natalia Borishevski, KCNA

ARROWHEAD ARENA, BUESK, VAUGANIA - Kazirstani hockey fans now have something to celebrate, as Kazirstan has won it's first game in the 25th World Cup of Hockey! Kazirstani captain Fedor Dallman opened the scoring 7 minutes, 15 seconds into the first period, squeezing the puck past Semar goaltender Marko Nielson. Dallman was assisted by line-mates Nikolai Poluektov and Eldorbek Medvedev. Semarland answered back quickly, at 9:56 into the first period, Semar defenceman Mkenze Abekwandye shot a rocket from the blue line to beat Kazirstani goaltender Pavel Yuldashov. The score would remained tied going into the second period. Seconds after the puck was dropped, signalling the beginning of the second period, Kazirstani right-winger Nik Emelin administered a vicious slash to the back of the legs of Dbuzu Okore-Janssen. Emelin was given a five minute penalty and a game misconduct, while Okore-Janssen had to be helped off the ice. His current status is unknown, though it seems likely he will be healthy enough to play in Semarland's next game. When asked about the infraction after the game, Emelin responded by saying Okore-Janssen had "taunted" and "provoked" him before the puck was dropped. Kazirstan would proceed to kill off the penalty, and score the next three goals of the game, at 6:58, 10:02, and 18:37 respectively. The goal scorers were; Semyon Nikulin, Sanzhar Tyutinn, and Jasur Musaev. The Kazirstanis were feeling confident with their 3 goal lead heading into the final period of the game. Semarland would score twice in quick succession, at 14:53, and 15:21, bringing them within one goal of tieing the game up at 4-4, but they fell short. Marko Neilson was pulled with 2 minutes, 14 seconds left in the game, giving the Semars a man-advantage. Several close calls with mere seconds left in the game kept fans on the edge of their seats, but it was not enough, as Kazirstan won the game with a final score of 4-3.

Kazirstan now has a record of 1-1-0, putting them in third place in Group G, behind Torisakia and Borschlandia. Their next game will be on October 19th, against 7th place Camerania.

OOC: O Quebec is clear ripoff of O Canada, as you could figure out. Sorry for lack of creativity :P

Ko-oren 2-2 Royal Kingdom of Quebec

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It's Selim Ozturk and Connor Williams. we're live, at Quebecom Centre, in Attawapiskat, for what looks to be the most hyped matchup of the year between two ancient neighbours of Quebec and Ko-oren. Starting in the nets will be Alexandre Browne and Jutri Latirailu, as have expected by many of us here tonight."

"This game should be exciting, Selim, as we're seeing two teams with drastically different playing style. The Ice Knights are expected to use their speed and fire on all cylinders like usual, while the Dragonflice will most likely be resorting to extremes of the shutdown hockey. This should be exciting for us broadcasters and you watchers, as they look to continue their momentum that they've earned from their respective MD1 matches."

"Indeed. Betting sites have been very active with their movements last night, and it looks like the numbers are fairly even, at around 102-97 with higher risks and rewards for Team Quebec."

"Well let's see how it goes. Let's go down for the national anthems, which will be sung by none other than a Quebecois superstar-singer and the long-time lover of Soo Myeon Kim, Jane Withers(OOC: IC version of Birdy). First off will be Ko-Orenite National Anthem."

The national anthem, sung by the aforementioned singer with, plays on the TV. It's being played by the very same organist at Maple Leafs Garden 2 years ago whom went on and played for about an hour of pregame music using JW Medley. The intro and rest of instrumental part is being ad libbed to such an extent that it started to sound in the style of Prahan Rhapsody(OOC: IC version of Bohemian Rhapsody) than Ko-orenite National Anthem.

"Belena, dathalname esolan
lustname/bonsiv xeta hejra-an/perav,
gladav hewelemi/neri lunav neri
‘sola nan ordhzijrokdis ilsa!"

OOC: This was from an old RP put forth by Ko-oren.

blue, green, and light
from the sun/in forests and on the great ocean/on mountains,
in valleys, across rivers/under the moon and the sun,
our islands in all directions

"And now, for the national anthem of Quebec, to be sung by Miss Withers as well."

O Quebec, the Quebecois National Anthem, plays on the TV, with same accompanist and performer. This time the organist was playing the intro in a fugue-like fashion for about a minute, before going back to the actual part.

O Quebec!
Our home, true, faithful land
True patriot love
in all thy hearts command.

Jane puts forward the mic to the audience, who then sings it loud and proud. The audience was singing it in an overwhelmingly loud fashion that it woke at least 320 babies who were asleep in their bedrooms.

Car ton bras sait porter l'epee,
Il sait porter la croix.

Ton histoire est une epopee,
Des plus brillants exploits.

Then Jane, putting even more of her emotions, belts out the final four lines, before going an excellent fortissimo with the reprisal of final line. At the same time organist kept increasing the dynamics all the way to the very end. Once there, he puts all his energy on playing it to 3x Fortissimo, before crashing into it.

God keep our land
glorious and free!
O Quebec,
Protegera nos foyers et nos droits.

O Quebec,
we stand on guard for thee.

...................

“Now, down comes the opening faceoff, between Yong Eun Song and Soo Myeon Kim. Referee blows the whistle and Song wins the faceoff."

"Song, what a player. Son of Quebecois immigrants at Safurung, he used to live in Montreal for 5 years and was one of the best prospects some years ago, until familial circumstances forced him and his family to return home. Looks like that didn't affect him much, as he went on to become an excellent player in Ko-orenite stage."

"That's true. Apparently Winnipeg, Montreal and Kingston are looking to acquire his services but no progress has happened yet. Now going back, it's Heimirsson with the puck, who passes it to Yiri Novotný...."

...................

“12:14 left in the second, still nil-nil as Passmore dumps the puck to the left side."

"Heimirsson grabs the puck, passes it to Lerolan and then skates forward. Lerolan's dribbling the puck, tries to pass to Heimirsson and misses target as Strojovic intercepts the puck with great speed."

"Strojovic, on his jet mode skating through Konstantinovitch, shoots and SCORES the first goal of the game!"

They both hear the loud cheers from the audience, while continuing the broadcast.

"Colm Strojovic, the Newfoundland native, scores his first goal of the tournament after exiting last night with 3 assists. It looks like his touch is back for once, and all...."

...................

“19:41 left in the third. Ice Knights are winning with the score of 2-1 to the game."

"Gaudreau with the puck, on a nice drive to the corner. He's goddamn fast with skilled, I realised."

"Yep, Connor. Gaudreau has the speed, the skills and spirit of a hockey player. With (Corneille) Poirier and (Jamie) Arnold he was part of the Flamethrower Line, scoring 34 goals and 81 points."

"He's a rising star for sure. Gaudreau on corners, skating in a tight corner and boy. Huáng jumps on Gaudreau and bang! He's sent crashing to the glass."

"Crowds are booing the decision, throwing coconuts into the ice for whatever the reason I don't know of, Connor. Is this like a some sort of symbol for hockey fans these days?"

"I don't know, man. The Guayabalense does it as well, and they take it to soccer fields back there."

"True that. But then coconut chants on this game? That's weird."

"And that’s it, ladies and gentlemen. Huáng and Guthrie are dropping their mits, the classic QHL style!"

"This shit is getting real, the rivalry between Quebec and Ko-oren. They're pounding pretty hard but Guthrie's getting an edge. Now his blows are getting harder and faster and yep, that's it. He decked Qiáng Huáng with a classic haymaker of his, and the latter is knocked out hard. Guthrie will be off to penalty box, while the on-ice medical officers are trying to wake him up..."

...................

"12 seconds left in the third. 2-2 to the game, with a Quebecois Powerplay and empty net, as Aronnax pulls Browne in favour of Sylvain Turcotte. Here comes Logan Guthrie from the upper corner. He turns around and passes it to Raoul Jang with a backhand pass. Jang shoots a slap happy and....What a SAVE by Jutri Latirailu, as he makes the life-saving save for the Dragonflice!"

"Damn. That was hell of a goal, especially with bunch of traffic around him. Dave Clark and Logan Guthrie were like front of him, blocking the shot from view while Heimirsson was not that far either. Good job by Latirailu and we're off for the night."

"It was a close game between the two top teams of Group 2, as both played an excellent game but just were unable to capitalise on opportunities they had. As a result, it was quite disappointing by the boxscore for both of them."

"We've seen some high-level hockey though, back and forth. That's what I liked about both teams, it's that they are truly specialized on their field of expertise on hockey. With us, it's firewagon hockey and goaltending, for them its Trojana of a defense."

"Gotta say that's true! Thank you for watching ladies and gentlemen, and this is TVA Saturday Night Hockey."

Miley World lost against Jeckland

Following a 6-1 loss against Transalpine Republic, the Smilers lost 4-3 against Jeckland saturday night. The game was played in front a 9 750 sell out crowd. With 18:24 left in the 1st period, Jeckland had a 2 on 1, Right Wing 1 had the puck and Nathan MacLean was blocking the way for a pass, so Right Wing 1's only option was to shoot. So he shoots and he scores, 1-0 Jeckland. Miley World attacked with 12:48 left in the 1st period. William Haley passed to Cédric Mercier, he shoots and he hits the post. Garrett Shaw takes the rebound and he scores, 1-1! At 9:21 remaining, Jeckland takes a penalty for too many men on the ice and 48 seconds later, Taylor McNally scores a power play goal on a slap shot from the point, David Cross and William Haley got the assists. 2-1 Miley World after 1 period.

With 7:39 remaining in the 2nd period, Miley World attacked. William Haley shoots, the puck goes into the net but the goal is waved off because Garrett Shaw is called for interference. No goal for Miley World and Jeckland gets a power play. Jeckland ties the game and it's 2-2. With 5:19 left Jeckland scored again and they were taking the lead 3-2. With 0:00 remaining in the 2nd period there was a scrum in front of Jeckland's net, Dalton Byers and Defenseman 5 drops the gloves, Byers wins his fight. Almost at the same moment, Jamie fraser and Left Wing 4 drops the glove, Left Wing 4 wins his fight. Both Fraser and Left Wing 4 get 5 mins for fighting, 10 mins misconduct and a game misconduct for a secondary altercation. Defenseman 5 only gets 5 minutes for fighting and Byers gets 5 minutes for fighting and a 2 mins for instigating so Jeckland will have a power play at the beginning of the 3rd period. The québécois crowd was ecstasic and asked for more fights. The score is still 3-2 for jeckland.

The 3rd period was relatively quiet. Coach Lindy Trotz pulled his goalie with 5:27 remaining in the 3rd period and it paid off with 2:48 remaining when Marcus Lindberg, behind the net, passed to Oscar Lindberg in front of the net, Oscar shoots and he scores! Nathan MacLean gets the other assist on this goal and the game is tied 3-3. With 0:01 remaining Center 3 passed the puck to Right Wing 3, he shoots and he scores, Jeckland wins 4-3 and Miley World lost it's second game in a row.

Next Game

After starting in Kenora, Miley World travelled to Churchill and now the Smilers goes back to Kenora for a game against Polar Islandstates. Coach Lindy Trotz wasn't statisfied with Dalton Byers who only got one shot on the net and instigated a fight so he will be a healthy scratch against Polar Islandstates. Jason Chaput will replace him on the 4th line.

Editorial: Ban Gregoryisgodistan

(SP) We at the Saintland Press watched in horror as the Gregoryisgodistan hockey team responded to their 1 goal to none defeat with criminal behavior. Like the first sore loser Cainum, they responded to defeat with murderous rage. After the incident had concluded, 5 Sanctii ice hockey players had been brutally murdered on the ice. As King Petrus XX said, "The actions of the Gregoryisgodistani team are absolutely unacceptable by any standards and are certainly not actions befitting the defending champions of a prestigious competition such as the World Cup of Hockey. I call upon the so-called Lord Almighty Gregory to execute these murderers for their crimes, which are definitely far more serious than the use of the word coconut or most of the voluminous list of offenses that are worthy of the death penalty under Gregoryisgodistani law, a list so numerous that there are probably more capital offenses in Gregoryisgodistan than verses in the Holy Vulgate. Should Lord Almighty Gregory refuse to bring these criminals to justice, then I call upon Quebecois law enforcement to bring them to justice. Should that not be forthcoming, then I will call upon the World Cup of Hockey Federation to immediately ban Gregoryisgodistan from future World Cups of Hockey and strip them of their World Cup of Hockey 24 championship. Failing even that, I may have to re-consider whether I permit my Kingdom to participate in future World Cups of Hockey, since this incident has revealed a cavalier attitude on the part of the Royal Kingdom of Quebec and the WCoHF toward player safety." Indeed, it is hard to argue with the words of the King.

The most prominent ice hockey player murdered tonight was Prince Josephus, the Crown Prince of Saintland WA and a younger brother of King Petrus XX. Prince Josephus had published an article in yesterday's edition of the Saintland Press stating that he wasn't scared of Gregoryisgodistan and would not permit the Gregoryisgodistanis to intimidate him. While this attitude led to his team playing the best match of their respective lives to defeat Gregoryisgodistan, it nonetheless also led to the death of Prince Josephus and several of his teammates. The other players murdered were first-line left-winger Ioannes Bruccius, second-line left-winger Petrus Murrius, 4th line left-winger Paulus Longus and first-line defenseman Lucas Trebatius. A new Crown Prince of Saintland WA is expected to be named soon.

The Saintland National Hockey Team intends to continue playing at the current World Cup of Hockey, in spite of the deaths. We applaud them for this decision and we believe that Thomas Clovius will make an excellent captain for the team. However, this still does not make the situation acceptable. The National Hockey team will play Zackalantis tonight and will need to regroup quickly, with back-to-back matches against Darmen and San Jose Guayabal on the horizon. They will then have to finish out their schedule against Britonisea and against some imposters who are pretending to represent the Federation of Free Republics, a nation that is now properly known as the Holy Republican Empire. Every time that the Saintland National Hockey Team steps on the ice, in the future, is a time when we will be reminded of these atrocities, which we must never forget...

Borschland stuns HopNation
Late goals seal 7-4 win

From Radio Borschland International staff reports

MONTREUIL, Vaugania-- A late scratch of Borschland's number one goalkeeper, Whamper "Wham" Itasca, did not stop the lower-ranked Black Swans from hanging on and then pouring it on in a 7-4 win over HopNation on MD2 of the XXV World Cup of Hockey.

Tied at 4-4 with four minutes to go in the third period, Borschland went on a power play, found chemistry, and scored three goals in the next three and a half minutes, two on empty nets.

Itasca was diagnosed by Vauganian specialists as having a rare seizure disorder which may be triggered by something in the Vauganian environment that he is not exposed to in Borschland. He was held out of the game as a precaution, and veteran netminder Breent te Naar filled in ably, stopping 36 of 40 HopNation shots.

The Mashers intended to test te Naar from the start, putting 22 shots on net in the opening period and opening a 3-2 lead. Goal scorers Hustovi, and Ruslan Bogomolov gave the Orange and Black's first line a +3 in the first period.

The Black Swans countered with two goals from Pujt Lagerman, his second of the tournament, and Christoff Sankt Beorn, both in classic Borschic tip-in fashion after several zone-wide passes.

The play was fast, clean and end-to-end for the first two periods, but Hop Nation seemed to lose a bit of pace by the third. Borschland tied the score late in the second on a short-handed goal after a Borschland penalty for delay of game, defenseman Rokus Beenert protesting he did not lift the puck out of play on purpose.

After Pujtr Reisenkamp stole a puck from Hop Nation defenseman Prokopiy Bogolomov, he sent a headman pass to Gregorujus Kool, who finished over Orange and Black netminder Lucas Pierre Faucheux's blocker.

After trading goals early in the third period, the stage was set for the furious finish. Defenseman Emmanuel Marin Girard was called for a crosschecking penalty at 15:49, and at 16:23, Borschland broke through with a rare slapshot from defenseman Norbert Lujming.

"The Red Sea parted," said Lujming, referring to the sliver of space opened by the HopNation penalty kill as the Borschland attackers lurked outside the circles.

"It was a good instinct by Lujming," said Coach Sherm Reinhardt afterwards. "We were flanking them all game, and I don't think we took one shot from distance till then. He surprised them."

From there, HopNation aggressively pulled its goalie to get back the equalizer, but twice found themselves fishing the puck out of the net, once after losing a faceoff, once on a turnover.

In the early going of this group phases, Borschland now stands in second place behind Torisakia, which has blown through its first two opponents by 7-0 and 6-2 scores. After a tie with Estope, Borschland now has made its way undefeated through two out of three of its most difficult opponents.

"We are happy with this result," said Reinhardt. "But we are concerned about Itasca. We do not want to send him home, but we will if we find that Vaugania does not agree with him."

The Borschic goaltender was set to undergo another battery of tests following the game.
Read the book that inspired this nation!

This nation should be ICly referred to as "Borschland".
