Milchama Field Same Lineup as CoH

After an impressive win in the last Cup of Harmony the MFA decided to stop experimenting with actual footballers and instead go with what works, rubber chickens, guillotines, and executioners. Luckily, the squad is made up of just such items which should make it a very competitive squad. Some have called it a mistake, saying that it was just a one time thing, but I would venture to say that this isn't even our weirdest roster ever and more importantly can be used to create defensive mismatches for teams who don't know how to defend inanimate objects.

The roster:

GK/D: A Rubber Chicken

M/F: Guy Le'Fontaine - Guillotine Expert

F: Gigli the Guillotine

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events Y
Roleplay injuries to my players Y (guillotines are great at hurting people!)
Godmod injuries to my players Y
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players Y
Godmod other events Y (Highly encouraged, the crazier the better. Also I'm giving you a lot of material so use it!)

If you're interested, there is a wiki page for the team, but its not quite up to date...

So here's a bit more info.
First, a few guidelines regarding Osarius, her footballing representatives, and her peoples.

1 - If Jermain Lewis is available... he will play. He is easily still the most important player in the squad.
2 - Most substitutions are likely to be attacking in nature. This would therefore necessitate a larger selection of attacking players on the bench.
3 - Osarians never consciously play defensively. Ever. They generally don't know how to do so tactically, and Benedict di Corradi has no intention of teaching them. Donovan MacLean on the other hand...
4 - Osarian fans are generally bloodthirsty. Bear in mind this is a nation in which gladiator fights are popular.
5 - As a rule, Osarians are pretty fast and strong, but technically lacking. There are exceptions, but for the most part, they are overly reliant on physical attributes.

The team generally lines up in a 4-4-2 formation - occasionally a flexible 4-5-1/4-3-3 against particularly strong teams.
The typical playing style is a high pressure, aggressive game, which seeks to spread the ball to pacy wingers. Lewis is key to this strategy because of his ball-winning and passing range in the centre of midfield.

That all said... RP Permissions... anything goes really.
Just please no deaths or long term injuries to anyone other than fringe players... and fans, haha.
If you have an idea for an RP, telegram me. I'll probably go with it.

Style modifier +2

Manager: Benedict di Corradi (44 years old)
The controversial, outspoken Osarius manager is a legendary figure in his hometown of Firewood, and generally liked by the rest of the nation (excluding Greeningham fans). As an outstanding attacking talent in his day, di Corradi has a lot of tactical nous when it comes to offensive endeavours. He is notably stubborn, despises losing, and is very strict with regard to his players. However, many of them see him as a father figure or mentor, and he shares a close relationship with a great number of them. It is not unusual for di Corradi to argue with match officials, and appeal against decisions, too. In his lone season managing domestically, he probably spent as much time in the stands as he did in the dugout. He is also known to spend hours at home watching match videos, analysing players and their performances.

Assistant Manager: Giorgio Cassetti (43 years old)
A team-mate of di Corradi's at Firewood City in the 2160s, Cassetti is one of his most trusted associates, and is typically tasked with administrative affairs. When di Corradi loses his cool, Cassetti steps in to calm him down. Another legendary attacking figure, Cassetti enjoys a more universal reverence back home, and is the more likely point of contact for younger players, as he is more approachable. Cassetti's coaching speciality is geared toward passing, and creating chances for forwards, which reflects his old position as a player.

Assistant Manager: Roberto Barzaglione (44 years old)
Having known di Corradi since birth, and also been a team-mate at Firewood, Barzaglione is perhaps the closest to di Corradi. Another extremely gifted player in his own right, Barzaglione specialises in coaching set piece tactics. It is also typically his role to scout potential call-ups on di Corradi's behalf - more often than di Corradi does so himself, perhaps, and certainly more often than Cassetti does. However, these are almost always at di Corradi's request.

Coach: Donovan MacLean (37 years old)
Widely tipped to be the successor to di Corradi, Donovan MacLean is a similarly outspoken coach whose methods - although maybe questionable - get results. MacLean seems to work well with younger players, where he is perhaps more capable of moulding them to fit his tactical style. Although he enjoys attacking football, MacLean tends toward the "Total Football" school of thought, which requires players to be multi-skilled. Its no surprise that since his introduction to the Osarius coaching unit, defensive competence has increased.

Coach: Elissa Barca-Carthy (46 years old)
As the long-term coach of the little-mentioned Osarius Women's national team, Elissa Barca-Carthy has established herself as a competent coach, particularly defensively. Her women's side have struggled mainly due to being criminally underfunded in Osarius, however, she has still managed to play a huge role in the development of certain Firebirds starters. Most notably, Georgina Carsley credits Barca-Carthy for teaching her how to defend properly, in terms of positioning and tackling.

Other Staff: Alain Montblanc, Rodrigo Hernandez, Maurice Simmons, Jeffrey Allen, Gerald Cole, Onyibo Oduoza (goalkeeping), Claudio Traga (fitness), Daniel Chambers (physio), Dr Sarah Bocchetti (team doctor)

The players

The squad for each match will be selected from a "pool" of players throughout qualifying, and this pool will be reduced to 23 players in the event Osarius qualify for the World Cup Finals.
As a general rule, the players are listed in "depth" order. That is, the first name in each position is the preferred name, and the others follow in order of preference.
Fringe players, that is, players with little chance of making the squad, will not be given detailed descriptions... but feel free to throw one in if you RP my squad before I do.

Set pieces are typically taken by Benni Watson, as are penalties. Reuben Forrester is second choice, but beyond that, there is no preference.

The typical starting lineup and subs are as follows:
Mariana, Ali/Carsley, Gidds, Higuain, Anderson/Vilito, Bonriou/Aguilar, Millican/Mitsubara, Lewis (c), B. Watson, K. Tinto/R. Wilson-Ouaddou, C. Harris

National Pool

((OOC: descriptions will be updated regularly, as and when I have time. Caps and goals are accurate as of MD3 of qualifying))

Goalkeepers

Albert MARIANA - 26 years old (22 caps)
San Vivaldo (Carpathia and Ruthenia)
The transition became complete when his predecessor - and mentor - Orlando Florian, was left out of the Osarius squad for Svoboda Cup II. Mariana's maturation has taken time, but his command of his area, and excellent reflexes make him a great custodian. He doesn't organize his defence like Florian did, but he does inspire the same confidence in them.

Matthew ROSE - 29 years old (1 cap)
Hamtown Athletic F.C.
Despite seeing his team relegated last season, Rose impressed many pundits and is tipped to be an in demand player over the summer. A solid all-round keeper, he does suffer from focus issues, as he is sometimes far too easily distracted. It has been said that the best way to beat him is to start a conversation with him. Rumours are abound that he wears headphones during matches, and listens to his mp3 player.

Christopher SULLIVAN - 23 years old (0 caps)
Greeningham City F.C.
A revelation at Greeningham, Sullivan has been an important player for the former King's League champions. He may not be as good as his national team rivals, but he certainly shows promise. He is often named in squads, and is easily capable of stepping in, but due to his relative lack of experience - or complete lack of it at international level - there are still questionmarks.

Jasveer GULATI - 20 years old (0 caps)
Parania Albion F.C. [on loan from Firewood City F.C.]
Gulati has been on the books at Firewood since age nine, and has been learning from Florian since age sixteen. Although he has been farmed out on loan the past few years, this does not mean he is not a capable goalkeeper. On the contrary, Willem Hamel believes he shows a maturity that belies his years, and it would be a waste to leave him on the bench all the time. Expect to see Gulati make one or two appearances in friendlies or toward the end of qualifying... also expect to see him edge ahead of Florian next season at Firewood.

Defenders

Amir ALI - 30 years old - left/right back (46 caps / 0 goals)
Atletico Insular (Cafundeu)
Not many Osarians get to play abroad, certainly not in one of the strongest leagues in the world. and if they did, you wouldn't bet on them being defenders, surely. Yet Amir Ali does. And he is a defender. That, combined with the knowledge that his old club - AFC Hollybrent - have struggled since his departure, should tell you all you need to know about his ability. While many admire his defending traits, di Corradi loves his attacking ability, often teaming him with former club-mate Renaldo Aguilar.

Georgina CARSLEY - 22 years old - left back (5 caps / 0 goals)
Greeningham City F.C.
"Gorgeous" Georgie - the foxy, tough-tackling Greeningham left back - is perhaps the only player who is as popular with rival clubs' fans as she is with her own team's. Her tough-tackling style and tenacious attitude make her an unpopular opponent for most wingers. She does struggle going forward, though, as her passing range isn't too good, and her crossing a little erratic at times.

Ashley WATSON - 27 years old - left back/left midfield (2 caps / 0 goals)
Trothwands Evolution
Watson spent quite some time at Hastmead Diamante, where he captained what is widely considered to be the best academy football team in Osarius. However, he never really seemed to make waves in the senior squad, until his transfer to Trothwands. At Trothwands, he became an integral part of a side which challenged for the King's League title for the first time in years. His good anticipation and pace make him a solid defender, while he is just as effective going forward, picking up a staggering 14 assists from left back for his club side last season.

Jay Jay ANDERSON - 31 years old - right back (42 caps / 0 goals)
Radyukevich CSC (Candelaria And Marquez)
[ --------- ]

Marc VILITO - 28 years old - right back (19 caps / 0 goals)
Albrecht FC (Candelaria And Marquez)
[ --------- ]

Flavio AQUILANI - 19 years old - right back (1 cap / 0 goals)
Trothwands Evolution
[ --------- ]

Tay GIDDS - 32 years old - centre back (53 caps / 1 goal)
Grasshoppers Turic F.C.
[ --------- ]

Rafael HIGUAIN - 33 years old - centre back/sweeper (47 caps / 2 goals)
Radyukevich CSC (Candelaria And Marquez)
[ --------- ]

Avery MCFARLANE - 27 years old - centre back (21 caps / 0 goals)
Capital AC (The Babbage Islands)
[ --------- ]

Dean CARTER - 26 years old - centre back (15 caps / 0 goals)
Highport Athletic F.C.
[ --------- ]

Aaron CHAMBERS - 25 years old - centre back (6 caps / 0 goals)
Paper Tree Town F.C.
[ --------- ]

Midfielders

Jermain LEWIS - 30 years old - centre midfield (67 caps / 6 goals)
Firewood City F.C.
[ --------- ]

Sanosuke MITSUBARA - 33 years old - centre/defensive midfield (51 caps / 0 goals)
Eldorado (Cafundeu)
[ --------- ]

Kristen MILLICAN - 23 years old - defensive midfield (4 caps / 0 goals)
Grasshoppers Turic F.C.
[ --------- ]

ORELIN - 24 years old - defensive midfield (8 caps / 0 goals)
Firewood City F.C.
[ --------- ]

FERNANDINHO - 28 years old - attacking midfield (18 caps / 0 goals)
St. Bartholomews Wanderers (Eastfield Lodge)
'Dinho is perhaps the most inconsistent player in the squad, and for all his tricks and ability, he never seems to be able to score for the national team. Benedict di Corradi prefers to use him as an impact sub, where his trickery is useful for unlocking stubborn defences, and creating goals for other players.

Jake MOONEY - 30 years old - left/centre midfield (15 caps / 1 goal)
Coranto FC (Tyrrin)
[ --------- ]

Benni WATSON - 28 years old - left/right winger (66 caps / 10 goals)
Firewood City F.C.
[ --------- ]

Renaldo AGUILAR - 29 years old - left midfield/forward (25 caps / 4 goals)
San Vivaldo (Carpathia and Ruthenia)
[ --------- ]

Reuben FORRESTER - 30 years old - right/centre midfield (31 caps / 4 goals)
Firewood City F.C.
[ --------- ]

Remy BONRIOU - 27 years old - left/right winger (19 caps / 0 goals)
Firewood City F.C.
[ --------- ]

Jordan SIMPSON - 20 years old - left back, left/centre midfield (14 caps / 0 goals)
Yeonseong FC (Daehanjeiguk)
[ --------- ]

Liliana RACINE - 24 years old - left midfield (1 cap / 0 goals)
Renneville United F.C.
[ --------- ]

Coach

Gabriel Vizcarra
A talented tactician who looked destined for a career of chronic underachievement. That was until he lead two different unfancied sides to the SuperLiga title in the space of three years and followed that up with masterminding El Nacional's astonishing TakilQuip Champions Cup run. Trust a bloke called Gabriel to prove that miracles can actually happen.

Talent
Style Modifier = A nice, neutral Zero.

GK: 1. Martín Tejera (28) – Dunboor FC (Cafundéu) (104 Caps)
Quite possibly one of the luckiest buggers around. Emerged as a star keeper just as the nation took its first steps onto the world stage and a regular in goal ever since. Plays for one of the biggest clubs around so you know he's good.

GK: 13. Luís Anaya (20) – Almondvale (Queer Poco el Mono Ara) (0 Caps)
An integral cog in the Di Bradini Cup winning side who recently completed a move to the Una Serie de Fútbol.

GK: 24. Mariano Ojeda (25) – Rio Bonito (Cafundéu) (20 Caps)
Several years ago Ojeda got Dagan pulses racing at the Di Bradini Cup, helped largely by his good looks, muscular frame and ability to lose his shirt when you least expect it. Plays in Cafundéu, so you know he's good. Most recently in the second tier, so you know he's not as good as Tejera.

DR: 2. Pedro Castro (26) – Piratas de Grisolon (Aguazul) (0 Caps)
Former Under-21 international noted for his bombardiering runs down the flank and passion for making up words like bombardiering. Not great defensively. A surprise call-up.

DRC: 16. Jorge Alberto Carmona (27) – Unattached (20 Caps / 1 Goal )
A forgotten man of Sargossan football but brought back into the fold because of his ability to play at both fallback and central defender. Currently without a club after his contract at King's Eleven Yuki City evaporated with the rest of Dancougar.

DC: 5. Néstor González (32) – El din Marbles (Candelaria And Marquez) (108 Caps / 6 Goals) - Captain
Big, uncompromising central defender who's been afraid for ages. A regular in Candelariasian football whose career could finally be winding down.

DC: 6. Saúl Mérida (28) – Eldorado (Cafundéu) (8 Caps)
Another of Vizcarra's former SuperLiga winners who's hoping a recent move to Cafundéu moves him into the frame to plug the problem defensive positions.

DRC: 16. Sergio Roca (20) – El Nacional (0 Caps)
Part of the victorious Under-21 squad and an ever present in El Nacional's run to the TQCC title.

DLC: 23. Cristian Viera (26) – SC Lasft (Cafundéu) 66 Caps) / 2 Goals)
Unusually comfortable on the ball for a Sargossan centreback, some might almost say classy. Almost. And playing in Cafundéu never hurts the chances.

D/DML: 3. José Blanco (28) – Ciudad Soluca (67 Caps) / 2 Goals)
An underrated performer both domestically for Ciudad and internationally down the Corsair's left. Solid defensively and offers good delivery from the flank. A thoroughly nice fella all round.

DL: 15. Ricardo Durán (22) – Porto Alegro Azul (0 Caps)
A talented fallback who earned rave reviews at the Di Bradini Cup in Starblaydia. Tipped to soon be joining up with daddy Agustín, coach of SuperLiga rivals Sporting San Marquez.

DMC: 4. Roberto Guzmán (26) – El Nacional (0 Caps)
A reserve at the Independiente until Vizcarra arrived and say the holding player's potential. A key performer in EN's vastly improved domestic form and scorer of the only goal in the TQCC final.

DMC: 14. José Luis Borrás (28) – El din Marbles (Candelaria And Marquez) (50 Caps)
Win the ball, pass the ball. And repeat for the next ninety minutes. Which just about sums up Borrás' philosophy. Recently linked up with his former national team boss in El din.

MC: 7. Marcos García Fernández (29) – Ciudad Soluca (100 Caps / 17 Goals)
This midfield maestro could conceivably thread a football through the eye of a needle. Simply put García Fernández is very, very good. But can he fit into the new system? Ooh, the drama.

AMC: 8. Diego Lara (25) – FK Samseong Dreiliņaja (Somewhereistonia) (67 Caps / 21 Goals)
Good passing, excellent technique and a shot like the kick of a mule makes Lara popular with the fans. Or it did before he chased the Samseong dollar and moved to a club in, of all places, Somewhereistonia.

MC: 17. Jésus Vazquez (27) – Clube Comercial (Cafundéu) (34 Caps / 6 Goals)
There was always a suspicion that Vazquez was a bit good. And his inspirational form for Deportivo Soluca helped the capitol club to their first SuperLiga title. Barely had the celebrations finished when he was jetting off to Cafundéu. Lucky chap.

AMRLC: 10. José David Gómez (25) – El Nacional (0 Caps)
Another of Vizcarra's EN heroes. A versatile wing wizard who can marauder down either flank but much prefers the right.

AML: 11. Daniel Bravo (29) – El Nacional (27 Caps / 6 Goals)
Out and out wingers didn't tend to get a look in under the previous regime. With his former club boss in charge Bravo could finally be getting an extended run out.

MLC: 21. Rubén Contreras (20) – Ciudad Soluca (12 Caps)
The current prized jewel to come through the Ciudad academy dominated proceedings at the DBC.

AMRC: 18. Martín de León (27) – SC Lasft (Cafundéu) (17 Caps)
A much used sub he really should deliver more than he actually does. Hopefully a recent move abroad will reignite this flagging career. Married to a popstar. Won't stop banging on about it.

AM/FRC: 28. Agapito López Santos (28) – Sporting San Marquez (15 Caps) / 3 Goals)
A goal hungry wide player with pace to burn and a wee bit of flair to go with it. Lost favour under the old regime but earns a recall from the new boss.

SC: 9. Ernesto Fariás (33) – Clube Imperial (Cafundéu) (87 Caps / 63 Goals)
Technical speaking our very own goal machine has retired from international football to concentrate on his club career. But he's a handy card to have in reserve just in case. Providing he can be persuaded to return. Obviously.

SC: 19. Daniel González Rodríguez (28) – NAPPC (Nethertopia) (45 Caps / 23 Goals)
A talented striker with a more than decent goal scoring record in the CMSC who has been linked with a move away from penniless NAPPC. A host of SuperLiga clubs are closing in on the striker with Ciudad believed to be leading the way.

AM/FC: 20. Javíer Pozo (22) – Ciudad Soluca (9 Caps / 3 Goals)
A precocious young 'un blessed with the kind of technique you just can't coach. He knows it to. Last season he spent far too much time in the gossip columns than the sports pages.

SC: 25. Luís Jiménez (21) – El din Marbles (Candelaria And Marquez) (0 Caps)
Top scorer at the DBC and fresh from a goal happy season on loan at Alianza Jucaro. Turned down the chance of a move to fight for his place at the Marbles Ground.

FC: 27. Roberto Ordóñez (30) – Sporting San Marquez (33 Caps / 13 Goals)
Big Roberto provides a useful 'lump it to the big fella' option should all fancier options fail. As they inevitably do.

Starting Eleven

Feel free to chop and change but the first choice side looks a little like . . .

(Formation: 4-4-2. Players Listed R – L)
Tejera --- CarmonaGonzálezMéridaBlanco --- Gómez Guzmán - Vazquez Bravo –-- Pozo - Ordóñez

Venue

Matches will be played around the nation but big games will find a home in our rather stylish Nethertopian designed, partly Starblaydi funded, 85,000 seater ediraf Arena in Soluca.

A tad bit late because apparently somebody thought it was a good idea to set the start of a World Cup concurrent with my five-day vacation. So it goes...

My opponent, if they RP first, may do pretty much whatever they like as long as it's all in the spirit of good fun. Just don't kill my players or coaching staff (and in case of a major injury, I recommend you check with me ahead of time).

The Imperial Han Football Team

大韓帝國蹴球國家代隊表
대한제국축구국가대표

Image

A few notes for the passing viewer. The Imperial Squad has a storied although nameless history. The Han won BoF23 (WC36) with perhaps the most prestigious alumni in recent history (Candelaria And Marquez, Vephrall, Ad'ihan, Sorthern Northland, Kura-Pelland, etc.). Since then, they've failed to win anything else (we came close in WC46, which ended up a 9 goal thriller that we lost in the dying seconds, literally dying). But after the events of the Gyeimyo Calamity (which will be at some point explained thoroughly in RP format), the Han are struggling to keep their place internationally. So as an effort to show the same sort of "face" that graced the world, it is to the verdure fields we head to seek eternal fame.

Technical notes - ages are according to years (thank goodness for the Han, who age on the New Year, not on the Birthdate). YOB = year of birth, and ##y is the age in years; the present year as of this posting is 4725. Players are shown according to their preferred starting position and should be RPed as such. Any RPs concerning the Han should be done without regard to anything. Please give out cards sparingly, although be creative in your reasons. In a sum, ask me only if you want to kill someone (although chances are that I'll ask you if I want to kill anyone).

Without further ado, the Imperial Football Association of the New Celestial Republic of the Great Han Empire presents to the world the Imperial Football Sqaud Selection for World Cup 51:

Manager: Lii Chong-Sun (erm... how old is he again?) - Starblaydi manager of the Han squad, if you read up on World Cup 49 RPs, you'll recall the sort of chaotic transfer of authority that resulted between the old IFA Chairman and the new/former Manager. Needless to say, Lii Chong-Sun is the NFT manager, and Kim Byeong-Ji is the IFA Chairman, and that both men have a good understanding about one another is a good thing. That Lii Chong-Sun knows a smattering about football is even better. While he never rose to international fame as a Starblaydi player, he has since worked up an appetite for winning stuff, and he'll aim to do one better than the Elves (we always run into the Vanorians at the Quarterfinals) this time. Oh, and yes, his name is a link.

Assistant Manager: Yang Gong-Wan (YOB 4690 - 33y) - Yeah, so if you remember him, he's the armless goalkeeper we had for World Cup 49. And while we're not going down that route anytime soon, he's still a valuable member of the squad, and both Lii and Kim felt it would be a a good thing to keep him around. Most of the squad affectionately appreciate his hard work, and he does say some inspirational things as well (minus those oft-pejorative Han Army quotes).

Staring Line-up:

Playing 3-5-2 (+3)

GK: Dong Sei-Yeong [YOB 4698 - 27y] [Cheonjin FC] - Not quite as young as before, and he didn't really have a good end of the season last time around. But you could hardly blame him entirely. The striking team weren't doing too well to help defense keep out of the bottom end of the League, but it's dealt him a big blow to his confidence. So if he starts leaking goals early, you could see a change to a more reliable brick wall.

DC: Wang Nam-Dong (YOB 4698 - 27y) [Yeonseong FC] - It's not surprising to see him back here again. Yeonseong are doing okay, and thanks in part to his contributions on the back line. And every passing year, he becomes more and more the rock solid beast on defense.

DR: Sang Han-Chang (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Eldorado, CFD] - Big and not quite as young. Oops, we forgot he transferred out to Eldorado. Ignore what we said about him so far :P.

DL: Pak Jin-Jeong (YOB 4701 - 24y) [Seoan Cheonma] - Booze boy actually does play footy. And after Cheonma's respectable performance in the league for a second time running, you're left wondering why the team still thinks of him as the booze boy.

DMC: Go Song-Ji (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Albrecht FC, CMSC] - Go Song-Ji is clearly the star of the team. But he doesn't score goals, he doesn't really defend, and his touches are few and far in between. How does he do it? Wellll... he starts by organizing a tight defense with Dong, and then he puts himself into promising positions, to relay the ball either up or down the field. He's not the lightning striker or the sturdy brick wall, but like any good engine, the lubricant helps to keep the parts moving in tandem. And that's his role - he builds the team. Go get'em Go (no puns intended, and if you do, I will kill you).

MR: An Pil-Rip (YOB 4694 - 31y) [Cruzeiro do Sol, CFD] - Still the best free-kicker in the Empire, and probably the best there ever will be. Who knows? There's a lot of talent floating around, waiting for An to teach them. Unfortunately, being stuck in the CFD doesn't bode well for tutoring young Hansters. But as long as he doesn't have a debilitating leg injury, he'll be assured his spot in the Imperial squad.

ML: Song Ahn-Ji (YOB 4698 - 27y) [Ousevale Borough, O-League] - Right... him... still... I'm not sure why we care about Ousevale, but he's here, and he's good enough to take the left flank of the field. He's not one of those "usual suspects", but he's commanding more and more respect from the cronies in Gyeongju. Soon enough, he'll have a cult designed to bring him back home where he has more a chance of being better appreciated. To be honest, I don't think Krytenia does remarkably well in the UICA competitions either, but at least they've got three slots.

MC: Pak Yong-Ho (YOB 4694 - 31y) [Arrigo Portuguese, CMSC] - Pak Yong-Ho is not going to last much longer here. But while he's still got talent, he'll be keeping off the likes of Baek Min-Ji and Gang Geum-Saek. We're not absolutely certain if Pak is still at the club, but you know... he's still an instrumental player whether he's there or not. But we'll be seeing if he's still in the CMSC or back in the CFD soon enough.

AMC: Kim Ha-Run (YOB 4699 - 26y) [Cafundó do Juta, CFD] - He's still bad in the head, but he's also mellow now. And under the friendly tutelage of the aged and sagacious Jeong Ji-Hun at Cafundó do Juta, Kim Ha-Run is turning into a formidable midfielder. He still has a nasty header, but he's got to playing more intelligent football, which is always helpful in the mid-section of the pitch. Someday, he may become that pivotal targetman.

ST: Kim Il-Tae (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Joseon Dangun] - He's back, and even though he probably nearly single-handedly derailed the qualification effort last time around, you'd be hard-pressed not to give him a second chance. He was young and hot-headed, but hopefully, Lii Chong-Sun has learned to temper this boy's prided and his talents. Already, he's turned into a goal-scoring machine of godmoddish wankistry proportions, but you don't see us complaining. Heaven only knows if Joseon can manage/afford to keep him around when the club's doing so poorly in the League.

FW: Pak Tae-Hwan (YOB 4703 - 22y) [Dinamo Karrakiv, Meistrliiga] - They're not so young anymore, and Pak Tae-Hwan hasn't really featured all too much on the scoring charts on the international scene, but Pak's versatility gives him a good deal of power on the field. He's definitely one of those players that opens up space and if given the chance will steal away the wins. He's probably running in the footsteps of the venerable Jeong Ji-Hun.

Reserve:
GK: Jang Hwan-In (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Yeonseong FC]
DF: Wang Yeom-Gang (YOB 4694 - 31y) [Malla Yeonhap]
DF: Shin Su-Su (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Yeonseong FC]
DF: Yi Hwon (YOB 4698 - 27y) [Koltelcia, Meistrliiga]
MF: Gang Geum-Saek (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Ventspils Redwings, Meistrliiga]
MF: Shin Seok-Gyo (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Yeonseong FC]
MF: Wang Jeong-Sang (YOB 4700 - 25y) [Cheonjin FC]

If you complain about this, C&M will be sad because his kittens will hack up furballs over his Persian rugs. Or maybe his rugs will hack up furballs over his Persian kittens. Or maybe his Persian hacks will fur up rug kittens over his balls. Who knows?

Kryosis National Football Team

((OOC: additional player descriptions coming later, hopefully there is enough info here for people to RP with. I'm painfully short on time lately. Work is killing me, sorry!))

Manager: Alfred Ambrose (68 years old)
+ Ambrose is known for his military career more than sports coaching. However, as a military tactician, he has drilled his team well, and they are solid defenders. He is effectively the anti-thesis of his Osarian counterpart, "that cocky little brat" Benedict di Corradi.

Due to Ambrose's defensive nature, the team almost always utilises Catenaccio in some form.
Most frequently, Kryosis line up in a 4-4-2 formation (which is detailed below - its the typical zona mista formation)

Style: -1.5

If my opponent RP's first he may:
Choose my scorers: Yes
Choose scoring events: Yes
RP injuries to my players: Nothing too serious, but yeah
Godmod injuries: Yes
Godmod "other" events: Yes

Basically, do whatever you want except killing my players. Bear in mind that Kryosi players are violent by nature, but they don't tend to blatantly assault players. Its a bit more subtle than that :P

The Squad

As is to be expected, the majority of the Kryosi squad play their football in nearby Osarius, where the standard of play is higher. However, this does not mean that there are not still some exceptional players left in Kryosis. Even though there are some remarkably talented players available, Ambrose prefers to choose hard-working players with the correct level of tactical nous and technical ability. Physical attributes are also very important to the Kryosis boss. Skill and flair are secondary traits reserved for forwards, in his eyes, and as such there are only four or five flair players in his squad (namely Lopez, Mosley, Mercado and Raymond - Reyale is arguable). The vast majority are tall, strong, and where possible, quick. All must have relatively good technique and all are drilled hard on Ambrose's tactical plans. As such, the manager is rarely seen bellowing instruction.

The captain's armband is controversially on the left arm of Juan Gerardo Lopez Mejia, as per the orders of the emperor - as part of the agreement to get Lopez to play - much to the chagrin of Ambrose, who has designated Lopez's clubmate Daniel Rose as his real on-field lieutenant.

starters are in green
regular subs are in blue

Goalkeepers

#1 - George Baird - 34 years old
Paper Tree Town (Osarius)
Baird is easily the most experienced player in the squad, and is often charged with the task of keeping his defence organised. His shot stopping isnt actually that good, his command of his area and communication skills are the main reason for his relative success.

#13 - David Holland - 26 years old
Artheim Assassins
Holland currently keeps goal for the stingiest defence in Kryosis. His organisational skills are not on the same level as Baird's, but he is a far better shot stopper. Ambrose has a habit of keeping one sub until the dying minutes of a match where penalties seem likely, he uses this to bring on Holland, who is a penalty-saving specialist.

#22 - Oscar Solomon - 23 years old
Kriminis United
The Kriminals' starting goalkeeper is still learning his trade, but shows signs of a young George Baird. Surprisingly commanding for a youngster, and arguably a better shot stopper than Baird, his main weakness is an apparent lack of genuine tactical awareness, which sometimes leads to trouble.

Defenders

#2 - Daniel Rose - 33 years old - right back
Firewood City
Experienced and composed. Usually. As the man who taught, and was then replaced by, Jay Jay Anderson, Rose's traits are very much evident in his understudy. He is just as aggressive and intimidating - if not more so, but not reckless in the slightest. Usually. He understands the game well and is good at organising a team tactically, perhaps a result of having served in the Kryosi Armed Forces for four years after he left school.

#3 - Melvin Kennedy - 32 years old - left/centre back
Renneville United (Osarius)
[ summary ]

#5 - Ryan Crow - 18 years old - centre back
Paper Tree Town (Osarius)
The son of legendary Kryosi centre back Marcus, Ryan inherited his father's enthusiasm and ability to deliver crunching tackles to absolutely anyone. Also like his father, he specialises in playing mind-games with opposition forwards.. oh, and sneaking in the occasional illegal action. An elbow here, a cynical foul there... its part of the game, isnt it?

#6 - Scott McLaughlin - 30 years old - centre back
Renneville United (Osarius)
[ summary ]

#11 - Craig Moran - 27 years old - left back/left midfielder
Zannadu Lightning
[ summary ]

#12 - Hal Curry - 28 years old - centre back/sweeper
Grasshoppers Turic (Osarius)
Strangely enough, Curry isnt a regular for Turic, despite arguably being as good as their captain and Osarian defender Tay Gidds. The reason being that Turic don't usually employ a sweeper, and Curry's style is too similar to Gidds'. He is a relatively small defender, but he's quick and surprisingly good in the air. He has a habit of coming too far away from the defensive line to make tackles too. He has a great passing range though, which appears to have gone unnoticed in Osarius.

#15 - Christopher Logan - 23 years old - right/centre back
Maharia United (Osarius)
[ summary ]

#23 - Delmer Mays - 25 years old - centre back
Cape Stone Cougars
Weird name, weird style of play. Wouldn't say it to his face though, he's massive. Mays has an unorthodox tackling method, where he kind of...stalks... his target as they approach, and then he dives in. It works pretty well though. Maybe because it scares the crap out of opponents, he's 6' 5" and 240 lbs for crying out loud.

Midfielders

#4 - Rodrigo Montoya - 28 years old - defensive midfielder
Cape Stone Cougars
Montoya is a technically refined deep-lying midfielder who tends to sit back and sweep up whatever his teammates miss. He does, on occasion, push up and put pressure on opponents, but thats not done often. Probably because he knows he can't sustain that for any length of time, really.

#7 - Rory Coffey - 29 years old - left/right midfielder
Trothwands Evolution (Osarius)
Tireless wide midfielder who runs non-stop. He's a good defensive man, and has a consistent delivery with either foot. He prefers his left, though. No doubt due to years of playing on the left flank for Trothwands. Coffey is a pretty quick guy too, so look out for him darting back to make last-ditch tackles... or giving away crucial free kicks. Nobody is ever sure which one we'll get.

#8 - Trent Raymond - 30 years old - centre midfielder
Paper Tree Town (Osarius)
Raymond is tasked with the role of playmaker for the Kryosi national side, and he does it fairly well, He's a creative guy. For his club side, he seems to find himself in much more defensive positions, though, and as a result, he seems to have developed an awesome long range shooting ability.

#14 - Sebastian Mosley - 26 years old - centre midfielder
Artheim Assassins
[ summary ]

#16 - Jared Huron - 24 years old - defensive midfielder
Paper Tree Town (Osarius)
[ summary ]

#17 - Clyde McCarthy - 23 years old - right midfielder
Maskra Marauders
[ summary ]

#18 - Roland Wilder - 29 years old - left/centre midfielder
Paper Tree Town (Osarius)
[ summary ]

Forwards

#9 - Gerardo Lopez - 30 years old - centre forward
Firewood City (Osarius)
Easily the most famous Kryosi footballer alive, Lopez had to be coaxed into returning to his home nation to represent them at international level. He had held out hope for an Osarius call-up, but his adopted nation's wealth of strikers froze him out. Lopez is nonetheless a great forward, ranking in the top ten all-time King's League goalscorers. It is only by the order of the Kryosi Emperor that Lopez is included in the squad, though, as Ambrose doesn't trust him to be committed.

#10 - Caspian Reyale - 30 years old - striker
Burningham City (Osarius)
Holds the title of second most famous Kryosi, probably. While Lopez is arguably the better all-round forward, Reyale is by far the more clinical. Equally capable of scoring with either foot, and blessed with a predatory instinct a lion would envy, he doesnt need much of a chance to score.

#19 - Ishmael Perez - 25 years old - striker
Revolo Rapids
[ summary ]

#20 - Faustino Vargas - 24 years old - centre forward
Kriminis United
[ summary ]

#21 - Julio Mercado - 29 years old - centre forward
Muirford Athletic (Osarius)
With his club side, Mercado is the focus, the creator, provider, the saviour. He has yet to show such form at international level, although this could be due to lack of opportunity. Ambrose has included him as a potential backup - and competition - for Lopez, who he feels may not apply himself 100%.

Usual Starting Line-Up and Formation

---------------------------------------------------
---------------- Reyale ---------------------------
---------------------------- Lopez (c) ------------
---------------------------------------------------
- Coffey ------------------------------------------
---------- Raymond --------------- Wilder ---------
--------------------- Montoya ---------------------
---------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------- Rose --
--------- Kennedy --------------- Crow ------------
---------------------- Curry ----------------------
---------------------------------------------------
---------------------- Baird ----------------------

The remnants of the Empire exist in a state of mystery.
A cabal of silent, shadowy figures effectively runs the country at present, though many believe they are a front for Osarian puppet mastery.

This will be expanded once I'm back from Australia, but just so you have something to work with while I'm away.... I am unable to RP until the 1st of June at the earliest.

The Archregimancy is, (in)famously, a nation of Eastern Orthodox (Greek, Russian, etc.) monks that exists in an alternate reality called the Dreamed Realm. Please do not confuse the squad with Roman Catholics or Copts/Armenians (unless you want to IC'ly irritate them).

The squad takes the field wearing monastic robes. The home ground for WC51 is inside a monastery, and seats 5,000.

Entrance to the Archregimancy is via a portal that allows visitors to pass through to the Dreamed Realm

Female visiting supporters are not typically allowed into the Archregimancy, although exceptions are made for female players and opposing team officials.

Violence in the Dreamed Realm is impossible (this is also true for the Holy Empire); any opposing players or fans who attempt to engage in violence will be immediately deported - one minute they'll be in the Archregimancy, and the next - within a blink of an eye - they'll be back home.

In a symbol of monastic humility, the WC51 squad will remain entirely anonymous through qualifiers.

The Archregimancy plays an orthodox 4-4-2 formation, +0 style modifier.

Feel free to RP fairly freely while I'm away, but there should be no religious conversions of Archregimancy players, and monks should never intentionally cheat (please).

From the RP thread, the expanded roster of the Holy Empire is:

Alasdair I Frosticus wrote:HEFA PRESS CONFERENCE

"So, ladies and gentlemen, we'd now like to officially unveil our World Cup 51 squad. So far, most of you only have a list of names, but now that the reality storm is over, let's introduce them in person!"

In goal, we have Archaos of the Seven Veils, a minor personification of the Chaos Realm's past who has taken humanoid form for the World Cup; her true form remains hidden behind the eponymous seven veils.

Our first defender is Minimus Sin, an amoeba-like telekinetic lifeforce of malleable form and shape.

Our second defender is the Great Eon of the Ineffable Realm: sentient time itself. The Great Eon is essentially invisible to the human eye, though the advantage of being time personified is that it is at all places on the pitch at the same time; how this is going to work in practice is anyone's guess.

Our final defender is an unnamed silicon-based lifeform of the Higher Crystal Realities; this one is fairly self-explanatory, though its 15 limbs do have some fairly sharp edges which could cause injury to unwary opponents. Inadvertently, of course.

In midfield we start with left winger He Who Is Called Bob. He may look like an obese beer-swilling human with a questionable taste in country music, but he is actually a trans-reality psychic in tune with the multiverse. Just a rather fat one.

On the inside left we have Bzzittitlisizb, the Fly God of the Insect Reality; as you can see, he looks just like a human-sized fly. We think we've been able to impress on him that flying with the ball is probably illegal, and that he has to kick - along the ground - with his six feet. But it's proving difficult.

In central midfield is our captain, the Invigilator. His reputation speaks for itself, and brave indeed is the team that does not fear him.

On the inside right is a Whispershadow; Whispershadows are curious trans-reality creatures rumoured to be the ghosts of the death of sentient stars. As you can see, they don't really have an easily describable form; they're more a darkness where something should be.

Finally, on the right wing is Flopsy Bunny, one of the giant fanged carnivorous deadly ruling triumvirate of Fluffy Bunny World. Mopsy and Cottontail are unable to travel for the Cup, but will be cheering on Flopsy from back home.

Then there's our forwards. On the left is Edson the Reality Warrior, a well-known cigar-chompin', gun-totin' hunter of reality anomalies assisted by his short, fat, stumpy, cheating sidekick Diego; in some realities, Edson Arantes do Nascimento - his full name - is apparently a pretty gifted footballer. Our Edson only dabbles in the sport, but is a fast learner

On the right is The Fourteenth, a polymorphous pan-dimensional being of the Fifteen; since he simultaneously exists in an infinite number dimensions, opposing players are advised not to stare at him directly lest it bring on an attack of nausea - though the Fourteenth has promised to restrict himself to a no more than 6 dimensional form for the 90 minutes, he realises that some will still find this... confusing.

As ever the coach is the immortal (in more ways than one) Hall of Fame Legend Juan Tzimisces

The assistant coach is the equally immortal Starblaydi Hall of Fame Legend Simeone Di Bradini

Feel free to let your imagination run riot - except that the Empire should wear its historic yellow and red wt/ black trim kit (red shirts and yellow shorts as away colours) and play a 3-5-2 formation with a +3 style modifier.

Otherwise, do what you like.

Team: The Ursine Northlands
Nickname: ’The NorthBears’

Colours: orange with violet trimming, or vice versa for 2nd kit, goalkeeper as whichever of these the rest of the team isn’t wearing that day; produced by Tenderville (as agreed IC, although OOC we never got around to getting this done…)

Home ground: ‘NorthLands National Stadium’, at NorthPort (which was originally built for WC49’s qualifiers).

Manager / Chief Coach: Harrya o Herrchaum (female Ursine, from Clan Herrchaum; age = 56; left-pawed, fur = light brown; Soccer experience = 33 years; a member of the ‘Bear-Belles’ during their international debut in B0F31 and for quite a while afterwards, she then coached the country’s U21 team for DBC9 & DBC10 and was ‘First Deputy Coach’ for the Belles from the start of WWC12, until she took up the job of managing the ’NorthBears’ after the qualifiers for WC50… Sacked after that Cup’s CoH, she was then re-hired a few months later when the NorthLands Soccer Association couldn’t find a better candidate ‘at home’… )

Goalkeeping Coach: Emma o RedSun _ Clan = RedSun [‘Free Sept’]; plays for = ‘Snowspire’ (Sorthern Northland), category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 24 years; age = 39, right-pawed, fur = reddish-brown; of proven ability, actually made her ‘international’ debut as a reserve in the “undivided” ‘Bears Armed’ team for the ‘WC47’ cycle but was transferred to the NorthBears as soon as those were established separately and played for them until the end of the latest Cup of Harmony.…

Roster

(This team is still fielding basically the same squad that it sent to the previous World Cup & the associated Cup of Harmony, although some of them are getting a bit long in the tooth by now: Ages & lengths of football experience listed are as they will be for the Cup proper & its CoH, subtract 2 years for the first half of the qualifiers or 1 year for the second half…)

(#13) Elga Thuleann _ Clan = Thuleann; home team = AmmFarhr Adventuresses, category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 22 years; age = 34, left-pawed, fur = ‘white’ (as she’s from a ‘Polar’ stock, which also means that she’s rather large even by Ursine standards...).

(#27) Rosa o SnowWhite _ Clan = SnowWhite [‘Free Sept’], home team = ‘Stonengarten UH’ (‘Andossa Se Mitrin Vega’) (recently acquired by them from ‘NorthGate Nomads’, who are one of BA’s professional teams although perhaps not quite of the first rank), experience = 7 years; age = 20, right-pawed, fur = ash-blonde. (from the ‘Northlands’, but ancestry = ‘brown bear’, not ‘polar’…)

(#31) Hrossamurnth Norrlantter _ Clan = SeaBear; home team = Karne Konquerors, category & usual position = Goalkeeper, experience = 22 years; age = 37, left-pawed, fur = ‘white’ (from a ‘Polar’ stock).

(#12) Marra o Urrseorn _ Clan = Urrset; home team = NorthGate Nomads, category = Defender, usual position = Left Back, experience = 22 years; age = 35, right-pawed, fur = brown with a reddish tinge; twin sister of #11, with whom she has a strong rapport that increases their effectiveness on the pitch.

(#11) Sarra o Urrseorn _ Clan = Urrset; home team = NorthGate Nomads, category = Defender, usual position = Right Back, experience = 22 years; age = 35, left-pawed, fur = brown with a reddish tinge; twin sister of #12, with whom she has a strong rapport that increases their effectiveness on the pitch.

(#10) Hertharrra o Sagghrurr _ Clan = Thuleann; home team = Karne Konquerors, category = Defender or Midfielder, usual position = Centre Back or Centre Half or Defensive Centre, experience = 24 years; age = 40, ambidextrous, fur = ‘white’ (from a ‘Polar’ stock).

(#26) Urrsarra Thuleann _ Clan = Thuleann; home team = Bhrorskerll Barbariennes, category = Defender, usual position = Left Back, experience = 21 years; age = 33, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown; rather large, but deceptively nimble too.

(#25) Orrahna o Wahrrann _ Clan = EastDale; home team = EastFort Eagles, category = Defender, usual position = Right Back, experience = 22 years; age = 38, left-pawed, fur = light-medium brown.

(#24) Urrsa o RedSun _ Clan = Red Sun [‘Free Sept’]; home team = NorthPort Navigators, category = Defender or Midfielder, usual position = Centre Back or Centre Half or Defensive Centre, experience = 22 years; age = 40, fur = light reddish-brown, ambidextrous, very fast. ‘Second Captain'; for this CoH, doubles as ‘Defensive Coach’.

(#7) Jahrra ShipBear _ Clan = SeaBear; home team = Harr Borran Heroines, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Left, experience = 25 years; age = 41, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown.

(#6) Harrnra o Levernh _ Clan = Red River; home team = Redcastle Rangers, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Right, experience = 22 years; age = 41, right-pawed, fur = brown with “silver” highlights, good eyesight.

(#21) Alffryth o Errhabarra _ Clan = Errhabarra; home team = Wehrran-Kharrdath Warriors, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Right, experience = 21 years; age = 38, left-pawed, fur = light-medium brown; twin sister of #23, with whom she has a strong rapport that increases their effectiveness on the pitch.

(#23) Lerronae o Errhabarra _ Clan = Errhabarra; home team = Wehrran-Kharrdath Warriors, category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Left, experience = 21 years; age = 38, right-pawed, fur = light-medium brown; twin sister of #21, with whom she has a strong rapport that increases their effectiveness on the pitch.

(#5) Harrla SalmonCatcher _ Clan = SeaBear; home team = Harr Borron, category = Winger or Midfielder, usual position = Left Winger, experience = 21 years; age = 39, left-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown.

(#4) Elga-Marra Thuleann _ Clan = Thuleann; home team = Northport Raiders, category = Winger or Striker, usual position = Right Forward, experience = 20 years; age = 36, left--pawed, fur = ‘white’ (from a ‘Polar’ stock, but relatively small for her kind).

(#20) Marrla ar Garrain o ‘Victtory’ _ Clan = Barrannanan; home team = NorthPort Navigators, category = Winger, usual position = Left Winger, experience = 21 years; age = 35, right-pawed, fur = light-medium brown; more “anthropomorphic” in shape than most Ursines...

(#17) Arvhra Horrventhurr _ Clan = Thuleann (Kennomarroa); home team = Rouhwarron Warriors, category = Winger, usual position = Right Winger, experience = 21 years; age = 35, right-pawed, fur = light-medium brown.

(#3) Aderha o Morrtharhn _ Clan = Thuleann (Kennomarroa); home team = Rouhwarron Warriors, category = Striker, usual position = Left Forward, experience = 19 years; age = 35, left-pawed, fur = light brown; a natural talent....

(#2) Harrla Orkarry-o-Thuleann _ Clan = Thuleann; home team = ‘Snowspire’ (Sorthern Northland), category = Striker, usual position = Left Centre Forward (but not dogmatic about this), experience = ? years; age = 36, right-pawed, fur = ‘white’ (as she’s from a ‘Polar’ stock, which also means that she’s rather large even by Ursine standards...); has a degree in Marine Biology)[/i] from NorthPort University, in whose team she had also played as [usually] one of the starting line-up for two years; also interested in various ‘Winter Sports’, but is [probably] not at ‘Olympic’ standard in any of them; generally cheerful, tough, can be stubborn, doesn’t like hot weather.

(#1) Errmintrra o RedSun _ Clan = Red Sun [Free Sept], home team = ‘NorthPort Navigators’, category = Striker or Winger, usual position = Right Forward, experience = 26 years; age = 42, right-pawed, fur = light reddish-brown, above-average eyesight; she actually made her ‘international’ debut as a reserve in the “undivided” ‘Bears Armed’ team for the ‘WC46’ cycle, as its first ever recruit from within the Northlands League’, and remained with them after that for both ‘Oxen Cup11’ & ‘WC47’ until the ’NorthBears’ were set up a as separate team; Captain and, for this CoH, doubles as ‘Attacking Coach’.

(#16) Irrona LightChild _ Clan = Sun; home team = Harr Borron, category = Striker, usual position = Left Forward, experience = 22 years; age = 38, right-pawed, fur = blonde, very keen eyesight.

(#15) Ulga Thuleann _ Clan = Thuleann; home team = AmmFarhr Adventuresses, category = Striker, usual position = Right Forward, experience = 20 years; age = 37, left-pawed, fur = ‘white’ (as she’s from a ‘Polar’ stock), rather large even by Ursine standards but very fast too...

(#14) Marrya o Urrseorn _ Clan = Urrset; home team = Harr Morhriss Huntresses, category = Striker, usual position = Centre Forward, experience = 25 years; age = 41, left-pawed, fur = reddish-brown.

(#30) Urrthra o Oakendale _ Clan = Green Valley; home team = SilverWood Foresters, category = Striker or Midfielder, usual position = Left Forward or Right Forward or Centre Half, experience = 22 years; age = 39, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown.

Usual 'Starters' = 1-5, 11-13, 21, 23-24.
Usual Substitutes: 6, 10, 14-15, 20, 27, 30.

OOC: Style modifier = +2.5
(which is slightly MORE aggressive than they were during the previous World Cup’s qualifying stage…)

RP permissions = anything that isn't too extreme should be okay, especially if it's funny... but any attack serious enough to remove any of them from the field due to injuries would probably have to be obvious enough to earn your player a red card for it.
Their usual formation includes 2 Backs, either 3 Midfielders or 2 of these plus a 'Defensive Centre' (starting at a point roughly at the middle of the rectangle whose corners are the Backs & Midfielders), and a front line of 3 Strikers bracketed between 2 Wingers.
They're all anthropomorphic Bears. They should be reasonably polite, unless you push them too hard, but are maybe not quite as "civilised" as the 'Bear-Belles'.
Oh, and before each game in which this team takes part its chosen starters & substitutes for that match will perform a version of the 'harrdiharr', which is the Bears' traditional "war-dance"...)

This is the northern section of Bears Armed, and enjoys a high level of autonomy.

If there is one player in Starblaydi history who can lay almost claim to be the best-ever in his position, it is Jaime Kuu. The left wing or left-sided midfielder position for the national team has often been a troublesome one, with a succession of hard-working journeymen or flawed geniuses, however Kuu at his best was the very embodiment of a hard-working genius.
