Darmeni Rugby League: Season XI
Season I-Johnho
Season II-Romanopolis Warriors
Season III-Johnho (2nd)
Season IV-Johnho (3rd)
Season V-Sterling City Rovers
Season VI-Vogler City Rhinos
Season VII-Romanopolis Warriors (2nd)
Season VIII-Romanopolis Warriors (3rd)
Season IX-Romanopolis Warriors (4th)
Season X-Romanopolis Warriors (5th)

After MD10, the Brham Broncos are surprising quite a few fans with their surprisingly fast start to the season. Romanopolis looks poised to win their fifth title in a row and sixth overall, while the Tigers of Tim City are awaiting the moment when a second division will be created.
Darmeni Rugby League Pld W D L PF PA PD Pts

13 Brady City Giants 10 2 0 8 113 210 −97 4
14 Tim City Tigers 10 0 0 10 20 280 −260 0

New this year is the Challenge Cup, which will see all 14 teams from Darmen, plus 2 clubs from Frecmenta, compete in a knockout style Cup. No IRLCC qualification is up for grabs, but there is a nice shiny trophy, some medals, and a chance for the Tim City Tigers to actually win something.
Round of Sixteen
Pittsburgh Sledgehammers 5–0 Rome Gladiators
Johnho 36–6 Vogler City Rhinos
Brady City Giants 20–6 Scott City Bulls
Tilden Vikings 8–2 Liverpool Wolves
Darmen City FC 1–8 Romanopolis Warriors
Tim City Tigers 0–8 Chuckio Reds
Brham Broncos 8–6 Scott City AC
Sterling City Rovers 36–30 Rogerton Wildcats

Another five matchdays of the League season, and Johnho has moved into second, and they're tied with the Warriors. Brham is still lurking in third, and it looks like a three horse race is setting itself up for a mad dash to the end of the season. Meanwhile, well, how 'bout dum Tigers bro?

14 Tim City Tigers 15 0 0 15 32 394 −362 0

On to the Quarterfinals of the Challenge Cup, where the Frecmentan champion, Pittsburgh Sledgehammers, gets ready to take on the Darmeni champion, Romanopolis. It's not even close.
Quarterfinals
Romanopolis Warriors 36–4 Pittsburgh Sledgehammers
Sterling City Rovers 46–8 Tilden Vikings
Brham Broncos 18–6 Chuckio Reds
Brady City Giants 42–26 Johnho

22 matches down, four to go, and it's Romanopolis still in the lead. Johnho is only two points behind, while Brham is on the verge of being eliminated from Championship contention. They're odds of qualifying for the IRLCC though are still good.
Darmeni Rugby League Pld W D L PF PA PD Pts
1 Romanopolis Warriors 22 17 2 3 378 142 +236 36

13 Liverpool Wolves 22 5 1 16 211 338 −127 11
14 Tim City Tigers 22 0 0 22 39 524 −485 0

Surprisingly, the Warriors lose to the Broncos in the Semifinals, losing out on the chance to add a cup title to their long list of Silverware. The Broncos will meet the Rovers in the final.
Semifinals
Brham Broncos 10–0 Romanopolis Warriors
Brady City Giants 2–2 Sterling City Rovers (8–10 AET)

So with one day left, the Warriors need only a point to claim their sixth title, while Johnho needs a massive win and a Warriors loss to claim their fourth title. Both teams are guaranteed a spot in the IRLCC. The poor Tigers play the Rovers, and the team from Sterling City has no intention of letting them win.

Challenge Cup I Final
@ Colossus Romanopolis, Romanopolis, County Romanopolis

Sterling City Rovers 30–8 Brham Broncos

So the Rovers take the first Challenge Cup title, denying the Broncos something to show for what has otherwise been a fantastic season.

14 Tim City Tigers 26 0 0 26 41 596 −555 0

The Warriors take title number six, the fifth in the past five seasons. Johnho finally finishes above third and will return to international play. The Broncos had an outstanding season, but came away with nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, the Tigers are in desperate need of a morale boost, or they might never win a game again.

Right then, let's get the ball rolling for the next IRLCC. A provisional cutoff is hereby set for 14:00 (BST) on Sunday 14th September. As usual two teams per nation.
I'm not on the Greenwich Meridian so my time is a few seconds behind. Bear that in mind.

Commonwealth Rugby Union Premiership: Season IV

Another new look for the CRUP now that the nations of Aissurop, Frecmenta, Tanamera and The Sportocracy have merged into a single Confederacy. The old Tanameran teams are still expected to lead the way, but overall the league should be much more competitive. In fact, for the first time ever, all six spots in the RUCT Seasogs will be allocated to the respective teams.

Firstly, we must congratulate our newest member to proffessional leagues, Forku RFC, this is a ne start for the team and they excpect a good new season, next year we will have the organised Semi-Proffessional League and is going to be on the 3rd level of the pyramid, it will also have playoffs. It's name will be the obvious Viaru Division 2.

There is much confusion currently over the Paradystopi (et al) Rugby leagues. The Yottaliga recently banishing all the none Paradystopi teams from it's leagues and conglomerating the entire system into one large league. The UPRL is just about holding on but it is expected to fracture soon as the Consanguinian teams seek for an independant league.

Super Sixteen Season 14

The season kicks off with another Lockwood Cup, this time contested by JK Memorial Squad and Colesham City Blues. Nothing much changing there then...

Past Finals History:
I: Colesham City Blues 7-0 Dwile Jerseys
II: Islanders 26–24 JK Memorial Squad
III: Islanders 14–14 JK Memorial Squad
IV: Colesham City Blues 20–7 Dwile Jerseys
V: Dwile Jerseys 7–0 Colesham City Blues
VI: Colesham City Blues 19–0 Dwile Jerseys

7th Lockwood Cup
JK Memorial Squad 17–17 Colesham City Blues

Surprisingly there is another draw! Though the Cup will stay with The Licentian Isles for another season, with the previous winning country retaining the cup in the case of a draw. Onto the main season itself!

15 Exton Heraldrim 30 8 2 20 430 629 −199 34 - RELEGATED
16 Glenmount RFC 30 5 2 23 220 537 −317 22 - RELEGATED

JK Memorial Squad storm to the title with a record points haul there, quite extraordinary. In second though, come Montfort Lions, a club who have really been on the rise in recent years - quite extraordinary that. The remaining Seasogs spots go to the usual crowd of Islanders, Colesham, Dwile and Gwinevra - Gwinevra creeping back in after a number of years out in the cold. Mandon Faithful and Northern Urbanista come close, they've come to expect better in recent years, whilst The Vikings have a very good season to finish 9th, they're a club with international aspirations there. In the relegation spots, both clubs new to the league can't hack it, with Exton being a way away from Barbury, and Glenmount RFC generally being the whipping boys of the division.

8 Northerly United 14 2 0 12 170 284 −114 4 12 - RELEGATED

A very tense and exciting season there, with RFC actually having the best record, but Southern Urbanista end up winning the title based off their ability to accrue bonus points. Oxshott Exiles make it third time lucky, as their third spell in the APL will be longer than 2 seasons for once, Northerly United being the relegated team, haing had a terrible season. Oldem Academicals, formerly in the Super Sixteen are promoted from the APL2 for next season.

Apox Qualifiers (APX): JK Memorial Squad, Dwile Jerseys, Gwinevra Saints, (Mandon Faithful*)

The Licentian Isles (TLI): Montfort Lions, Islanders, Colesham City Blues

OOC*: Extra Apoxian qualifier provided as agreed between PIS and I, whereby if Licen CTE's, his entrants revert to numbers to be entered if convenient, otherwise Apoxian entrants to Seasogs reverts to the usual 4 teams.

Before we get started a reminder that the IRLCC deadline is looming large. If you are wanting to enter teams, please do so very soon.

Sraith Rugbaí Náisiúnta season 2

The SRN returns for it's second season, in the two division promotion and relegation format that it's expected to comprise of for the foreseeable future. With the twenty-four teams now split over two tiers rather than competing in separate divisions of an equal standing a pre-season nines tournament has been introduced to bring all twenty-four clubs together. Taking place over a long weekend in the Charmunnry colony of Mahanauta the nines competition is intended as a fast-paced action packed introduction to the season, and it set to be taken seriously by all with big prize money on offer. To accommodate the Mahanauta Nines, the Province of Origin series moves back to mid-season, much to the aversion of coaches once again at risk of losing their star players for several games.

Mahanauta Nines

The inaugural Mahanauta Nines saw the 24 clubs split into 4 groups of 6, playing each pool opponent once, with the top four from each group progressing. Held over a long weekend, the first three pool rounds were held on Friday, whilst Saturday saw the final two pool rounds and the opening knockout round held. Sunday then saw the culmination of the tournament from the quarterfinals onwards.

Sraith Rugbaí Náisiúnta

The SRN a hAon would see clubs compete to be the national champions of Ancharmunn. Following a home-and-away round robin between all sides, the top four would qualify for the playoffs to determine the overall champion. The top placed team on the table's efforts however are to be recognised in the form of being hailed the Minor Premiers and guaranteed a place in the IRLCC. The Grand Final winners are also to be entered into the IRLCC.

Meanwhile promotion and relegation is to be contested by the bottom two clubs of SRN a hAon and SRN a Dó, with those four teams coming together over the playoffs to contest a mini-league. With just one match between each team home venues are drawn as random, with the top two teams over the three rounds to compete in next season's SRN a Dó.

The PURC has gone through quite some evolution since its last edition. There has been a massive expansion, with currently twenty-two teams taking part and two new expansion teams coming up for the next edition. This season had a unique structure with twenty-two teams partaking of which eight qualified for the finals, no wonder it took over two years to finish it.

The regular season was dominated by UTR Pajukas, that only went down six times and managed to beat everyone at least once apart from Fram Kallsmudden. Tikhovesi RK might do amazing internationally, becoming the first Buyanese Seasogs winner, but it did cause them to drop some points domestically. Bengtsmark did a humble attempt to threaten UTR, but two losses in direct duels cost them a real fighting chance.

22 Torspeda Collective 42 6 0 36 418 943 −525 30

All eight sides that made it this far earned two points for every victory, causing the top sides to be within a few inches again. Tikhovesi RK made use of the chances this format offered, even managed to tie UTR but on the decisive moment, the twelfth match day, they failed to win at home against the big rival for the title. Bengtsmark are great, but not yet top two material, and the fourth Seasogs ticket surprisingly befell Pajukas Heart. Heart is a returning team but has a good, young group together.

PURC Finals Pld W D L PF PA PD Pts

8 Rapid Ragema 14 2 0 12 140 280 −140 52

For next year, we're heading to a format with an A-League, containing the eight sides that qualified for the PURC Finals and the four that won their play-off round - Kuranki Lightning, Zeimgava Warriors, Stal Ciegnalki and Fremad Tjelberg. The remaining squads go in the B-League. After twenty-two games, the top-eight goes to the Finals, holding two points for every prior victory and meeting only once. The other four meet the best quartet of the B-League in the Promotion League. The remaining sides try to avoid eternal shame in a similar format.

Domestic Rugby - Final Standings
September 16, 2014

(OOC: Scores generated in xkoranate, using the SQIS formula with xkoranate-style style modifiers, no home advantage)

A Few Notes On The Rugby Union System In Cata Larga
In Cata Larga, there are 9 levels of rugby union football. The top three - the Divisiene Premiere, Divisiene A, and Divisiene B - are professional leagues. The other six are either semi-professional or amateur. For the purposes of this summary, the professional levels of the rugby union system will be focused on. All three professional levels consist of 18 teams and, like all other levels of Catalarguense rubgy union, operate on a system of promotion and relegation, with the bottom three teams of every level automatically relegated and the top three automatically relegated. The fourth best team in a level engages in a two-leg playoff with the fourth worst team in the level above them in order to determine promotion or relegation. Should the lower-tiered team win, that team will be promoted, and the other relegated, and should the higher-tiered team win, both teams will stay in their tiers. The exceptions to this scheme are the Divisiene Premiere, due to it being the highest flight, and the 9th tier departmental league divisions, due to them being the lowest flights. All professional-tier seasons are played according to a round robin format with two legs, resulting in 34 total match-days. There are three major tournaments in Catalarguense rugby union. The first is the Tops, in which the top 8 teams of the Divisiene Premiere compete in a knockout tournament. The second is the Professional Cup, in which all 54 professional-tier teams in Cata Larga are open to participate. The third, and largest, is the Confederal Cup, in which all teams governed by the Unie Catalarguense d'Rugbi are able to compete. The most popular of these is the Professional Cup, with the Tops coming a close second. Seasogs placements are given as follows: The winner of the Tops is given first placement, the Tops runner-up second, the winner of the Professional Cup third, and the winner of the Confederal Cup fourth. The Confederal Cup, however, has not been held during this cycle, due to a variety of disputes with semi-professional and amateur teams over finances, scheduling, and fairness in competition, and as such the runner-up of the Professional Cup will be given the fourth placement. With all that explanation done, and the standings ready for release, it's time to release the standings!

With a nice 16 entries a fairly straightforward format was the order of the day with all teams entering at the group stage. The entrants were seperated into champions and non-champions pots with each group containing two teams from each pot.

Ko-oren's National Rugby League was looking for cement their domination of the international rugby league scene with a third winner in as many tournaments. However to some surprise both their entrants were out before the semi-final stage. Amidst the reorganisation of the Yottaliga, Aflyannafleeinnaflu Swordfish for The Paradystopi Consanguinity, however it was Neu Engollon's San Remo Meds who took home the spoils in style with a convincing 32-6 win, the largest final victory in IRLCC history. In doing so San Remo Meds become the first IRLCC champions from Neu Engollon.
