Tyranny by Majority

Postby Westmeadow Tavern » Sat May 15, 2010 4:01 am

Major OOC notice: If a post concerning me is posted by Eastfield Lodge, then that is me (I have a tendency to post something under the wrong nation), so please count it as my bonus!

The country of Westmeadow Tavern is a colony right next door to its conquerer, Eastfield Lodge. Due to the rubbish infrastructure in place, this team plays its home matches in Dillvill Park, the largest stadium in the empire. Due to the recent introduction of the empire to the rest of the world, this country has taken a back seat as EL experiment first on the world's facilities.

Manager: Sir John 'Lol' Graham: This is really his first experience in managing international football, but he did successfully manage VLC FC to two cups in Eastfield Lodge early on in his career. Has an annoying tendency to laugh loudly when winning.
Assistant Manager: Gordon Bilclough: Has no experience whatsoever and was chosen merely due to a random survey looking for an assisstant manager. Still, he seemed to fit in rather well.

From now on, the Imperial Commonwealth Sporting Association has declared that there will not be a team roster for Westmeadow Tavern from the start of WC 51 Qualifying. Instead, 23 random citizens will be chosen to play in their best positions. This means that there will be no set formation.

Style Modifier: 0
Formation: it will be completely and utterly random.

If my opponent RPs first, he/she can do anything they want short of death.

WARNING: Failure to comply with the above will mean you country shall be annihilated by my extensive set of WMD's.

Inabian National Football Team Roster

General Overview:

The Dominion of Inabi's National Football Team is comprised up of twenty-four different players from a variety of clubs in Inabi. Coming fresh out of the Baptism of Fire, and after some practicing back in the mainland, they are in peak condition to play in the World Cup. After an embarrassing defeat from a 3-0 penalty shootout, they are really looking to redeem themselves and come back home a champion.

The players have now, after a good many games with each other, garnered enough knowledge of how to work with each other. They do not have the perfect chemistry and more experienced team might have, but they won't be bumbling around like a bunch of idiots. Head Coach Jae Kwang-Sun has decided again to use the formation 4-4-2. It served them well before, and it shall serve them now.

The team has also made clear that they will try to maintain a balance between offense and defense, leaning towards defensive (-1). If this does not work out, they will choose to go ahead with an offensive plan.

The Inabian National Football Team has released the name of their manager, a man that goes by the name of Shi Zhi Xian. The reason they had kept his name a secret is unknown. When asked, the Head Coach responds, "Well, nobody asked."

Manager - Toomas Ergma (Somewhereistonia) - Qualification was the goal for World Cup 50, and that goal was achieved
under the guidance of Toomas Ergma. Finishing top of their qualification group, the Bears moved into a tough group
in the group stage of the competition, drawing with both Bears Armed (Mainland) and Cafendeu, and losing to
Sarzonia. Still, the Bears finished 3rd in their group, and with only one loss in the competition, put forth a
fantastic result. The expectations of this team have been raised; now, qualification will be required for many in
the team to keep their position.

The Vjiayan National Football Team, managed by one Winston Thatcher, arguably the greatest manager ever to lead a Vjiayan team and still of an age of just sixty-four years has just been announced. It is a mixture of the best players Vjiay has to offer. Bitter rivals in the domestic leagues and cups, but now united for Vjiay, they will lead our hopes and aspirations in the upcoming World Cup, after a decent performace in the Introduction of Fire, reaching the last 16 on the team's international debut. I'm sure all of Vjiay is behind them and, on behalf of our hopeful people...Good luck boys.

OOC: I've listed that my players have caps, that gave me more to write about as well as giving people an insight into their effectiveness. I've never roleplayed NS sport :P

Goalkeepers:

Herbert Holmes (GK)
Age: 32
Caps: 37
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Bowery
Number: 1
Bio: Currently the most experienced player in the Vjiayan national side, tall and imposing he has kept nine international clean sheets out of the thirty-seven appearances he has made. He is the first choice keeper at his domestic club, Bowery, who are sitting third in the Vjiayan Premier League. His strengths would be his size, measuring 6’5; he has a good dive and is known as a good penalty stopper. However, many of the goals he concedes are down low, due to his tallness he is sometimes unable to reach low, and he is known for the occasional wayward kicks. Some pundits say he may lose his grip on the first team goalkeeper place in the upcoming world cup.

Alistair Barker (GK)
Age: 26
Caps: 3
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Greatsidle United
Number: 19
Bio: He was described by the Greatsidle United coach as simply, ‘A brick wall’. Sure, a cliché, but clichés are often the truth, and using this term to describe Barker wouldn’t be an overt stretching of the imagination. Greatsidle United have played twenty-eight league games this season, conceded just nine goals. Pundits across Vjiay tip Barker to be the first team choice at NSWC51.

Taylor Breasley (GK)
Age: 20
Caps: 0
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Toddlesham City
Number: 25
Bio: A young, consistent keeper playing for a high level domestic club. Has proven effective in goal at Toddlesham, but has moments of madness if his nerves get the better of him. He generally needs a good save under his belt early on in a match, to settle his nervousness, after he has them under control he is a deft shot stopper.

Defenders:

Alan Brown (RB)
Age: 23
Caps: 16
Goals: 1
Domestic Club: Greatsidle United
Number: 2
Bio: Has decent experience at international level and is the first choice Right Back at Greatsidle United, who currently sit top of the VPL, with an astonishing defensive record of just fifteen goals conceded in forty games (all competitions) so far. His main strength is his pace and his heading, he can, however often be outmatched for strength if running at speed and is known to slide in quite readily.

Vince White (RB)
Age: 29
Caps: 24
Goals: 1
Domestic Club: Sway County
Number: 4
Bio: Quite experienced at international level but is currently second choice to Alan Brown when selection for the first team comes around, due to his lack of pace in comparison to Brown. White however is a solid right back, good strength and composed in most situations. He is a particularly good crosser of the ball, when running the right wing overlap.

Alfred Higgins (CB)
Age: 28
Caps: 25
Goals: 3
Domestic Club: Umbrage
Number: 5
Bio: Current club captain at Umbrage and vice-captain of the Vjiayan national side. Despite standing at only 5’9, Higgins possesses immense upper body strength and is one of the faster members of the team. He is usually the target when the opposing team is using the long ball tactic, and direct free kicks and corners due to his height, however when the ball is on the ground, the last person the opposing attacker wishes to see is this man.

Johnny Carr (CB)
Age: 31
Caps: 32
Goals: 2
Domestic Club: Twain City
Number: 15
Bio: The epitome of cool, Carr is the captain of both his domestic and national team. Despite losing a yard or so of pace in recent years, he is still an extremely valued member of the team and remains one of; if not the best centre backs Vjiay has to offer. He is good at heading the ball, as well as a solid passer and can, of course, tackle in every circumstance. He is rarely embarrassed by an opponents’ skill and will likely leave them on the floor wondering where the ball went.

Dimitar Hamel (CB)
Age: 19
Caps: 0
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Toddlesham City
Number: 22
Bio: Despite being touted as a future star of Vjiayan football, Hamel has still been seen as a risky take to the World Cup. This is mainly due to his age and inexperience at club and national level. He has made around twenty appearances for Toddlesham United this season, who are sitting second in the VPL and has impressed with his pace and heading ability. He has, however revealed a somewhat rash aspect of his personality and has been sent off once in his twenty appearances and been booked seven times, many put this down to his inexperience.

Stefan Jackson (LB)
Age: 30
Caps: 19
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Umbrage
Number: 12
Bio: Decent experience at international level, with fourteen years spent at his domestic club, Umbrage. He is perhaps average for the Vjiayan team when it comes to strength, but is below average for speed and his main strength is his positioning. He has often been criticised for his lack of pace; however, he will rarely be seen to be being outran by the opposition, as he is often in a perfect position to tackle someone before even they know that that’s where they’re going. He refers to this uncanny skill as his ‘sixth sense’.

Terry Scott (LB)
Age: 31
Caps: 26
Goals: 2
Domestic Club: Sway County
Number: 3
Bio: Currently second choice for Vjiay behind Jackson. He is a solid left back, with decent pace, heading ability and strength in the tackle. He is, however, prone to the odd unexplainable decision, such as the Vjiayan Champions Cup final of 2006. The game was heading for extra-time when Scott, in the last minute passed a ball far too short back to the keeper, who, despite valiant efforts failed to get to it before the opposing striker did and the rest, as they say is history. (A moment that still makes County fans cringe)

Midfielders:

Malcolm Eustice (RM)
Age: 28
Caps: 30
Goals: 11
Domestic Club: Toddlesham City
Number: 7
Bio: First choice right wing midfielder for Vjiay and Toddlesham, is fast, strong and possesses great vision. He is somewhat lacking in the ball skills department however he makes up for this with his speed and stamina. Will often be seen clearing balls from the edge of his own box and then thundering up the pitch to help the counter attack. Overall an excellent right winger and arguably one of Vjiay’s finest players.

Udall Stracke (RM)
Age: 29
Caps: 4
Goals: 1
Domestic Club: Greatsidle United
Number: 17
Bio: A relatively late find by Greatsidle United, but has impressed since his signing in 2008, so much so that his performances in the 08/09 VPL season (32 apps, 9 goals, 13 assists) warranted a national call-up. He is extremely quick, has good dribbling skills and decent strength, but sometimes fails to get back to help defend, often leaving the right back outnumbered.

Quentin Watson (RM)
Age: 21
Caps: 1
Goals: 1
Domestic Club: Toddlesham City
Number: 12
Bio: Another young gun, called up on suggestion from his teammate, Malcolm Eustice. Possesses excellent pace, dribbling skills, heading ability and stamina, but can sometimes let his temper get the better of him and is sometimes guilty of diving, as well as not getting up quick enough or helping to retrieve the ball if he loses it. He has great potential if he gets these little quirks out of his system, but scored a stunning free-kick on his Vjiay debut. For Toddlesham he has played in the centre of midfield as well as in the forward position.

Terrance Chamberlain (CM)
Age: 25
Caps: 16
Goals: 3
Domestic Club: Twain City
Number: 6
Bio: Perhaps one of the more defensive minded midfielders in the Vjiayan side, he is often used as such for his domestic club, sitting just ahead of the defensive line. He has decent pace, good ball control and a cool head. He works best when given time, time which he usually uses to pick out thirty yard passes. When hounded, however, he is often pressed into making a mistake and losing the ball.

Charles Flinchum (CAM)
Age: 27
Caps: 12
Goals: 3
Domestic Club: Laurus United
Number: 8
Bio: An attacking midfielder that often sits on the edge of the centre circle, or if on the attack at the edge of the opponents’ area. Works best when coupled with a defensively minded midfielder, due to his reluctance to get back and defend. He is, however, capable of bossing the possession in midfield as he has deft ball control and dribbling skills, as well as a keen eye for a pass. He will sometimes go for the more difficult thirty-yard shot, when a clear pass was available and squad mates can get frustrated with him for it. However, he has silenced many of them when the thirty-yard screamer nestles in the top corner of the goal.

Phil Freeman (CM)
Age: 32
Caps: 29
Goals: 3
Domestic Club: Aeledge
Number: 16
Bio: Coming to the end of his international career, but is still a solid squad player who can be given the holding midfielders job or the midfield maestro job. He is of solid build, lacking pace but able to hold off many tackle attempts. He has a cool head and spots passing opportunities that younger, less experienced players may not.

Oliver Shetty (CM)
Age: 24
Caps: 9
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Twain City
Number: 13
Bio: An inexperienced squad member that doesn’t really do much wrong, but in recent years has been unable to break into the starting eleven due to the successes of the Chamberlain-Flinchum partnership. He possesses good skill, good pace and a good eye for a pass. He is a regular starter for Twain City alongside Chamberlain and as such has a good relationship with him. Despite not scoring many goals (In the 08/09 VPL season for Twain, he made 37 appearances, scoring three goals) he gets many assists, as well as making passes early on in moves that lead to goals. Is certainly one for the future, if needed he can play on the right wing.

Todd Whelan (CM)
Age: 19
Caps: 0
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Greatsidle United
Number: 14
Bio: Another risky yet ultimately required call-up to the national side. Before signing for Greatsidle at the beginning of the 09/10 VPL season, he burst onto the scene for Vrick Town, helping them avoid relegation in the 08/09 season with six goals in the last ten games of the season, with Vrick staying up by a point. There are ultimately two sides to this player, for one, he is capable of the beautiful. An example of this is his goal against Toddlesham United in the last game of the 08/09 season, where he took the ball on the half way line, skinned three players before unleashing a missile of a shot from twenty yards out which left the keeper standing still as it rocketed into the roof of the net. However, he is also capable of the ugly, such as his drunken bust up with a footballer from a Division Two side after the 08/09 season, which lead to him being suspended from the first three games of the 09/10 season with Greatsidle.

Dwayne Lightfoot (LAM)
Age: 29
Caps: 5
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Laurus United
Number: 11
Bio: There isn’t really a first eleven left winger automatically picked for Vjiay, the choice largely depends on the opposition. To pick Dwayne Lightfoot, the Vjiayan manager may think that the opposition team is susceptible to rapid runs down the wing, accompanied with astounding dribbling skills, against such teams international experience may not be a dramatic factor. A team with Lightfoot would suggest an attacking mentality, Lightfoot rarely gets back to defend, but will certainly be at the centre of most attacks and strikes fear into the hearts of defenders in the VPL.

Zander Payne (LM)
Age: 30
Caps: 25
Goals: 4
Domestic Club: Twain City
Number: 17
Bio: Payne, however, brings strength, stamina and experience to the table. He is more of a passer of the ball than Lightfoot is, spraying pinpoint passes over dozens of yards seemingly at will. He will also cover his left back and is always seen defending in his half and indeed, penalty box. He will then join in the counter-attack. Despite lacking in pace, he will certainly be around to pick out a through ball if the attack needs it.

Forwards:

Alex Clarke (CF)
Age: 20
Caps: 1
Goals: 2
Domestic Club: Toddlesham United
Number: 10
Bio: A recent call-up due to an outstanding season for Toddlesham, scoring 27 goals in thirty nine appearances, and not having a single booking or red card against his name. He is quick, skilful and strong but lacks heading ability and is significantly weaker on his left foot compared to his right. (22 of his goals in the VPL this season were on his right foot) He is somewhat of a risk in terms of his experience but it is believed that he will play a vital role in the upcoming world cup and is touted to be a regular starter, after his two goals in his international debut.

Arnold Wrede (CF/AM)
Age: 29
Caps: 21
Goals: 6
Domestic Club: Twain City
Number: 9
Bio: Wrede is an effective, calm, down-to-earth centre forward. He possesses decent pace, good striking ability and good dribbling skills. Most essential to his game, however, are his positioning and his vision. He is criticised at international and at club level for his somewhat low score tally and perceived lazyness. However, he is almost always involved in the build up play to goals scored for Twain and Vjiay, having picked out through balls our made space for himself to make a direct assist to the goal. Fellow players and managers alike recognise his ability as both a goal scorer and a playmaker, both sets of professionals having repeatedly asked for the media criticism of him to stop. He is usually played just off of the centre forward, providing an effective link between him and the midfield.

Mike Apsey (CF)
Age: 28
Caps: 19
Goals: 9
Domestic Club: Laurus City
Number: 24
Bio: Largely used as an impact player, Apsey is effective when not injured. Again, he is seen as another risk, as he has played just sixteen games of the 09/10 season. Despite this, he has scored eight goals and, as a natural finisher pundits suggest that he will be used as a super sub if Vjiay need a goal.

Warner Gibson (CF)
Age: 18
Caps: 0
Goals: 0
Domestic Club: Umbrage
Number: 23
Bio: Touted for future excellence, Gibson is certainly on the way up. Having signed for Umbrage in 2008, when just sixteen he has since scored twenty five goals in sixty appearances, a good feat considering the mid-table performances of Umbrage in the past two seasons. Again, will likely be sent on when Vjiay is desperately searching for goals.

Starting Eleven and formation:

Substitutes:

Barker (19)
Hamel (22)
Shetty (13)
Apsey (24)
Watson (12)

Due to the relative inexperience of the Vjiayan National Team, the first few games in particular will be tentative, whilst the largely new team learns to play effectively together.
They will play in the 4-4-2 'Diamond', but could also be called the 4-1-2-1-1-1 formation, placing particular emphasis on wing play, with through and long balls played frequently to take advantage of the speed of the front pair. A defensive midfielder will occupy the role of sweeper sitting just ahead of the defensive line, with a player (Wrede) sitting just off the the forward to provide a more effective link with he midfield.

Welcome to UTN Sports' exclusive coverage of the World Cup Qualifying Round for World Cup 51. We look forward to an interesting and exciting set of matches but first we'd like to run through some of the more important players for us.

1. Jason Paul Age: 24 Club: Athletic Stanza
Since making his international debut 5 years ago, 24 year old Jason Paul has just got better and better. His performances in the UFA Mega-League have seen him win Goalkeeper of the Season 3 times. He was rewarded for hvs constant skill and bravery by being made captain for several international friendlies during the summer.

2. Eric Aldé Age: 28 Club: LC Lagoa
Born in Ghana, Eric Aldé moved to Unitopolis when he was eleven and since then he's established himself as one of the finest defenders in the UFA Mega-League, with consistently outstanding performances at centre-back for LC Lagoa. A natural leader, Aldé's no-nonsense style has earned him the respect of his peers.

7. Giuseppe Joliano Age 27 Club: Racaw Sultan (Tyrrin)
Whether it's crossing a pinpoint ball onto the head of a striker or beatingg 3 defenders before shooting, Giuseppe Joliano is well capable. One of the fastest players in the league, Joliano combines his fearsome pace with a wide repetoire of tricks and skills, making him a fearsome opponent for any defender. A big-money move to Racaw Sultan FC of Tyrrin may well see him become the first Unitopolitan to achieve success in a foreign league.

18. Kenil Hutsa Age: 32 Club: Zamba Torpedos
Kenil Hutsa is captain for both the international side and Zamba Torpedos and anyone who's seen him play will know why. His footballing vision and commitment are second to none, and his long-distance shots are a force to be reckoned with.

9. Corenhinho Age: 23 Club: Athletic Stanza
11 goals in 8 games at the introduction of Fire showed the international world that Brazilian-born Corenhinho is a force to be reckoned with. Top scorer in last year's Unitopolitan Mega-League, Corenhinho will be hoping for a repeat of his introduction of Fire form in the World Cup Qualifying Round.

Choose my goalscorers: YES
Godmod scoring events YES
Roleplay injuries to my players YES (but not long term injuries)
Godmod injuries to my players NO
Hand out yellow cards to my players YES
Hand out red cards to my players YES
Godmod other events NO

The only 'survivors' of the last tournament are head coach Daniel Johnston (who took over from Brian Camara half way the qualifiers) and star striker and notable pretty boy Aaron Humes. All other players have been purged. Some of them were involved in a betting ring scandal which broke during the qualifying for World Cup 50. Others have retired or are passed over, and still others were ditched on the demands of Aaron Humes, who basically has so much influence because of his popularity and him being the son of a prominent member of the ruling party of F1-Insanity, that changes were made according to his wishes.

ROSTER
STARTERS
Forward, Left Side #10 John Grant
Age 27, Height 6'0, Weight 158
John Grant is an oddity in FRLS, a forward without a lot of shooting power. He has a seemingly magic ability to turn up in the right place
at the right time to get a follow-up shot, and is known for efficient passing. Split time between goalkeeper and forward as late as college,
which seems to give him an ability to predict how opposing keepers will react in most situations. Used to be a strong defender, but that has slipped in recent years. Famous for clutch goals for FC San Angelo in the '08 and '09 playoffs.

Forward, Center #03 Lewis Clark
Age 24, Height 6'3, Weight 188
Lewis Clark is outside the usual mold for a soccer player, has as much size and strength as speed. It would be a mistake, however, to think of him as a slow or unwieldly player. Serious analysts have him ranked with Salina and Flowers as one of the best players in FRLS, and he has carried otherwise mediocre FC Crossroads to the playoffs every year he's been in the league. Has an excellent shooting leg and often gets steals by simply overpowering smaller players. Can play defense as well as offense. In spite of his height, not great with headers.

Forward, Right Side #08 Mike Herron
Age 27, Height 5'11, Weight 161
Mike Herron is a lightning quick, hard shooting forward that gives Mount Shavano a dangerous quick strike ability at any point in the game. Along with the Hobbes brothers, makes FC Navato one of the most talented sides in FRLS. His defense is fairly mediocre, which may lead to time splitting with other players in close games or when trying to protect a lead. The reigning FRLS MVP, and one of its most popular players. Comes from a family of great athletes; has close relatives playing both football and basketball professionally. Broke his arm during the BoF but was able to return by the semi-final.

Midfielder, Left Side #09 Frank Watson
Age 27, Height 6'1, Weight 153
Often called the "Ultimate Team Player", Watson is a talented player, if not on the same level as the Hobbes brothers or Salina. He is a fan favorite and has been the best player on mediocre FC Fremont for the last five years. Has lead FRLS is adjusted assists the last two years. There was specualtion he would be moved to the right side to work with right forward Mike Herron more closely but this has not materialized.

Midfielder, Left Center #23 Julius Hobbes
Age 23, Height 5'10, Weight 149
With his brother John, Julius Hobbes forms the up-and-coming talent core of FC Navato during the regular year. Very fast, very quick, and
very skilled, if somewhat inexperienced. Still seen in some quarters as having trouble moving out of his brother's shadow. Was nearly invisible in first round playoff losses to San Angelo in '08 and Jenkins City in '09, leading to the media questioning if he can perform under pressure. Coach Landry and others associated with FCMS have insisted that this is not a concern.

Midfielder, Right Center #01 John Hobbes
Age 25, Height 5'11, Weight 158
The senior of the 'Two Brothers' from FC Navato, he displays excellent ball skills, and passing ability. His shooting can be mediocre
at times. Was a defender in college but moved to midfield when drafted, in order to keep the best talent possible on the field on a Navato
team already strong on defense. Has been criticized for fading at the end of seasons, but that shouldn't be a concern in the realtively short
World Cup. Likely the fastest player on the Front Range Republic's roster.

Midfielder, Right Side #11 Raymond Holmes
Age 32, Height 5'11, Weight 152
The oldest player in the starting side for Mount Shavano, Raymond Holmes is a 'thinking man's midfielder'. Known for patience, excellent
positioning and sharp, intelligent passes. Probably not the best player avaliable, he was deliberately chosen by Coach Landry to provide
veteran, on field leadership for the young Front Range Republic side. He plays for FC San Angelo.

Defender, Left Side #14 Jack Rimes
Age 24, Height 5'9, Weight 144
Jack Rimes was derided as 'that skinny kid' when he was drafted by FC Jenkins City, but has played at a high level from the get go in the big leagues. When Isaac Flowers found himself and gelled, Jenkins City found itself with the best defensive side in FRLS and is the defending league champion. Rimes is a lefty, and while not fast and lacking shot power is almost unbelievably quick and skilled. Missed the '08 season with a leg injury.

Defender, Center #33 David Salina - CAPTAIN
Age 29, Height 5'11, Weight 161
G: Fast, Defensive Skills, Smart
David Salina is the biggest name in Front Range soccer. Has won three MVP awards and led FC Harbor Grove to two FRLS Trophies (regular season) and four Cups (playoffs). He has everything you look for in a player, speed, skills, smarts, leadership, and charisma. Has struggled with knee injuries his whole career, but appears to be at fully 100% for the World Cup. Was named to the all-Baptism of fire team.

Defender, Right Side #13 Isaac Flowers
Age 25, Height 5'10, Weight 154
S: Aggressive, Defensive Skills
Flowers is the second biggest name in the all-star defensive lineup for the national club. He showed his talent but little polish for the first
couple years after the '06 draft, but has developed into a perrenial MVP candidate manning the right side for FC Jenkins City. An aggressive and skilled defender, he has playing experience at both forward and left defender but lacks the power to shoot effectively and was moved to the right when Jenkins City drafted lefty defender Jack Rimes in '07. Can take away a whole side of the field when his game is on.

Goalkeeper #12 Robert Anderson - CAPTAIN
Age 31, Height 6'0, Weight 174
A veteran goalkeeper who was something of a surprise winning the starting goalkeeper spot for the new national team. The long time captain of FC San Angelo, his early career was marked by inconsistency but he has become a dominant player the last couple of years, in which his team has won the FRLS Cup and Trophy once each. Was not involved in the coaching scandal in the '09 quarter finals. His trademark is aggressive and intelligent play, with which he makes up for his middling physical talent. His statistics from the BoF : 6-2-2, 7 GA, 7 shutouts. He was named to the all-BoF team and is becoming a soccer icon in Mount Shavano.

RESERVES
F #45 Jim Travis, 30, FC Jenkins City
F #41 Frank Smith, 22, FC Alamosa
M #62 George Jackson, 28, FC Monarch
M #17 Ted Pershing, 33, FC Monarch
M #44 Matt Bradley, 24, FC Crossroads
D #76 George Jones, 27, FC San Isabel
D #05 William Nelson, 29, FC San Angelo

Cafundéu's WC51 roster

Postby Cafundeu » Sun May 16, 2010 2:59 pm

ANOTHER SEASON, ANOTHER WORLD CUP!

(OOC: Cafundéu’s players are two years older than in WC 50)

Style: +2.7 with Max of 3; +3.5 with Max of 5

CCFM RELEASES THE LIST OF TEAM MEMBERS OF THE MONOPOLISTS FOR THE 51ST WORLD CUP

Cafundéu is returning to the old times when calling players – now we are just calling the main 23 players, the ones that will go to the World Cup, forgetting all that nonsense of announcing 26 names and then cutting off 3 – or calling 30 and cutting 7 like we did last time. Sure, we are going to point out the substitute options – seven to be exact - in case of injury, but they won’t participate in the qualifiers too, being only names for reference. So, expect a team with much more chemistry and adapted to the playing style asked by the coach. It is believe that, this way, the Cafundelense National Team may finally return to success, after several bad campaigns in the World Cup. If the Monopolists wish to maintain the dream of winning the World Cup, results must come.

But why did Cafundéu fail in the last World Cups, with so many good players and all the motivations brought by the fans? Surely it must be the coaches’ fault. Renário, Andreas Gilsoweller Veiga, Waldenyr Caldas... they couldn’t command well the Monopolists. Perhaps it was time to try something different. Having a foreigner as coach of the Cafundelense National Team was something always discussed, but something that was always seen as strange: after all, the whole world uses Cafundelense coaches due to their efficiency and quality, why Cafundéu wouldn’t do it? But now the CCFM decided to adopt the idea. A foreigner coach would lead Cafundéu.

But whom? Was there someone who the CCFM trusted enough to give the entire Monopolist squad at his hands? Perhaps another new thing could be attempted: distributing the power of the NT between many people, as a way to avoid huge mistakes, as one coach would correct the other. The Scout approved the idea, seeing it as brilliant, and decided to call three foreigner coaches to lead Cafundéu. So, the coaching triad was formed, with three coaches from different countries, who would work together aiming an excellent campaign in the World Cup.

(IMPORTANT: use the names in BOLD of my players when writing your RPs [if they are involved], please, as these are the names that they use when playing [the names in their shirts], don’t use their full name [unless it is the bolded one], as most have big full names and the Cafundelenses use nicknames exactly due to this situation. This and the observation below are the only 2 things that I ask about this issue)

(IMPORTANT 2: please do not write the names of my players in all capitals, this is important for me too. When writing a name of one of my players in your RP, write like you would write a name for any other player [don’t forget to use the one in bold]. For example: write “William tried a long ranged shot...” instead of “WILLIAM tried a long ranged shot...”)

See the list of the 23 players:

Goalkeepers:

1- Leandro Félix GARRIDO (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 186cm - Weight: 85kg – Age: 29 years old
Garrido has ever been considered a very talented goalkeeper, but his rise to the National Team was extremely quick and surprising. Abandoned by SC Lasft, his first club, Garrido was forced to play for minor teams until getting a place in Atlético Jutense after the retirement of Gerrin Sidan, and didn't leave the position since then. He is a dedicated keeper, modest and efficient. Outside the field, it is hard to hear something interesting about Garrido, although he is known for participating in some charity programs and events, especially for people with deficiencies, as his wife is blind.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B
PLAYED WCs 48/49/50

12- MELKEZEDECK Sobral (Team: Ranca Toco)
Height: 196cm – Weight: 77kg – Age: 26 years old
The truly crazy Cafundelense goalkeeper receives his chance in the National Team. With a nice career so far, earning a contract to Ranca Toco, Melkezedeck is a person who loves to appear in front of the cameras, on and outside the pitch. When playing, he jumps even in the balls he won’t be able to reach, makes impressive moves that have little practical value… but at least he knows when to do these moves, he’ll never do one of them in a bad timing. Outside the field, Melkezedeck loves to get involved in controversies, especially related to the football rules.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B
PLAYED WC 50

22- CLESTON Castanheira Figueira (Team: Clube Comercial)
Height: 181cm - Weight: 88kg – Age: 24 years old
Not exactly a tall goalkeeper by Cafundelense standards, and a bit fat by the usual standards involving footballers, Cleston surely is a curious player. No one may imagine that this man is such a great goalkeeper, until they see him playing. His jumps are tremendously high and precise, and he has very good reflexes. His only flaw is on leaving the goal to intercept crossings, something he is still training in order to improve. But, in general, an excellent goalkeeper who is certainly one of Clube Comercial’s leaders. And it is always impressive to see a somewhat fat man making great jumps!
Rating: C - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B

Right Defenders:

2- Guilhermino Marcon RADICCI (Team: Cafundó do Juta)
Height: 163cm – Weight: 68kg – Age: 30 years old
Look at what happens when you have too many players of one position and too few of another. Radicci originally played as a left-back, a position he played as in Di Bradini Cup teams and in domestic football. But, due to the huge amount of left-backs in the NT, he had to adapt his football to enter in the Monopolists as a right-back. This seems to have worked, although sometimes Radicci finds difficulties in controlling the ball in the right wing. But his talent in crossing and in making solo runs compensates this fact. He also loves to drink wine and to eat barbecue. Nowadays, is seen as the best player of the entire squad, due to his good level of performances.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: B – Morale: B – Form: A
PLAYED WCs 47/48/49/50

14- JULIANO Mello Paixão (Team: Porto Lacruz)
Height: 173cm – Weight: 67kg – Age: 27 years old
The introduction of Juliano in the National Team comes with the CCFM’s strategy to produce a small “purge” in the National Team after the horrible campaign in WC48. Some important players gave space to promising talents, and Juliano is one of the best of these. Extremely fast and excellent with passes, Juliano is more important as an attacking weapon than in defence. He can’t win aerial battles, and finds it difficult to mark opponents. Outside the field, Juliano became famous after participating in a movie even before he was a player, when he was still a child. The movie was a success and for a long while he was seen as a talented young actor, but he didn’t have much acting chances after that.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: A – Morale: B – Form: C
PLAYED WCs 49/50

Left Defenders:

6- Germano Capixaba Mathias BATORÉ (Team: Dunboor FC)
Height: 185cm - Weight: 82kg – Age: 31 years old
Batoré is often seen as just a hard-working player, one who can shine thanks to dedication and team work. But there is more in this player. Batoré is brilliant in understanding tactics and in field vision, being able to instantly notice the better way and place to put a pass. It is rare for Batoré to score a goal, but fairly common to see he involved in one. In defence, Batoré also does a good work, especially at man marking, being very annoying for the attackers. Batoré has a huge scar in his left cheek, and is very talented at telling jokes and imitating other people, and he loves to imitate Breno Gavião or The Scout.
Rating: B - Team Relationship: B - Morale: B - Form: B
PLAYED WCs 48/49/50

16- NELSINHO Perroza Dias (Team: Ranca Toco)
Height: 172cm – Weight: 70kg – Age: 25 years old
An enigmatic player this one, inside and outside the field. As a player, Nelsinho is extremely versatile, and can surprise opponents by appearing from places not predicted by them, and for executing moves few believed he could do or that would be appropriate for certain moments of the match. He does his basic functions on the pitch in a fine way, and is a very reliable player, so no doubt he deserved a place in the National Team. Outside the football world, Nelsinho hardly appears for the media, having a house in a very isolate place in Cafundéu where he stays during the whole period of vacations. Also, he claims to have some business abroad, though no one has ever discovered what they are.
Rating: C – Team Relationship: A – Morale: B – Form: B

Central Defenders:

3- Armando RODRÍGUEZ (Team: América)
Height: 185cm - Weight: 81kg – Age: 28 years old
Surely one of the most devoted players of Cafundéu, one that plays without any other worries during the ninety minutes. Rodríguez seems to be obsessed for the ball, never giving up even after he is dribbled. Sometimes he gets angry with the opponent attackers, and usually he finds a way to send the opponent on the ground when this happens. Rodríguez is a true defender, who rarely goes to the attack, and tireless when marking, following the opponent even after the game to the dressing room or the team party, or even to the attacker’s bed with the wife or husband. Is known for investing in cultural projects.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B
PLAYED WCs 48/49/50

4- WILLIAM Silva Jerônimo (Team: Albrecht FC [CAM])
Height: 181cm - Weight: 77kg – Age: 32 years old
After some impressive games in the youth team of Clube Imperial, the player got involved in a transfer with Albrecht FC, and since then only conquered fans and success in his new team. William is excellent in tackles. He hardly fouls his opponent, and hardly misses a tackle, being able to challenge even the best dribbler. He is also very good at heading the ball, but only in defensive situations – he isn’t a good player in attacking. Usually is played as the most defensive field player, and works well in this place. Outside the field, loves to hear country music and often travels back to Cafundéu to visit his parents’ farm. As he lives now in Candelaria And Marquez, he is more famous there, and got married with a famous volleyball player of that country. With Alves leaving the NT, William becomes the new team captain.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: A
PLAYED WCs 45/46/47/48/49/50

13- Antônio Louzada Viana "TONHÃO" (Team: Ranca Toco)
Height: 192cm – Weight: 100kg – Age: 28 years old
Strong. Violent. Tough. Tall. Cold. Tonhão is the typical “monster defender”. Excellent at taking the ball from the opponents using the most different tactics, from accurate tackles to the simple act of running over the player of the opponent team, Tonhão is the true defensive defender in defence. Doesn’t go to the attack, even though he could be a valuable player in aerial plays. Dislikes having to attack. But this, after all, isn’t bad, as he is so good in defending. As it was said, Tonhão is sometimes a violent player, and he is also one who gets angry easily. But, as few players have the courage to provoke him, usually the opponent team doesn’t use this fact on their favour.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: C – Morale: B – Form: C
PLAYED WCs 49/50

20- BRUNO Carvalho PINTO (Team: Petardos S/A)
Height: 170cm – Weight: 72kg – Age: 26 years old
Bruno Pinto is a solid defender who is an expert at marking, hardly losing his opponent from his area of view. He is a bit clumsy too, and can trip opponents without noticing, sometimes being blamed by the loss of his club due to an unnecessary penalty or foul. But a key quality of Bruno is that he has some good technique, which can help the team to create counterattack moves or hold the ball when wanting to keep a good result. He has some influential relatives, and won many chances thanks to them, but no one can say he doesn’t have the talent to succeed.
Rating: C – Team Relationship: B – Morale: B – Form: A

Defensive Midfielders:

5- Nico LEWTON (Team: América)
Height: 178cm - Weight: 78kg – Age: 25 years old
A player who was considered the real wonderkid of the country, as he was called to the U-21 National Team when he had only 15 years of age, a record in the Monopolists. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t playing in top clubs, failing to get the same football quality from his team mates. Some transfers helped him to improve, and now he finally got his chance of going to the National Team, although he has serious concurrence for the spot. Newton is very perfectionist, wants his moves to be done exactly the way he predicted, and he usually manages this using his excellent vision of game and positioning. He also puts a huge pressure on himself, wanting to always have good performances, and publicly criticizing himself when this doesn't happen.
Rating: A - Team Relationship: A - Morale: B - Form: B

10- MARCO AURÉLIO Braga Santimônia (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 164cm – Weight: 61kg – Age: 24 years old
Marco Aurélio is a versatile midfielder, but with Cafundéu filled with top offensive players, he fits well in a defensive position. Already known and praised for his excellent ball control and ability to make accurate through passes, Marco Aurélio is a lethal weapon in the attack too. In the defence, uses his talents to intercept balls and predict the moves of his opponents. Marco Aurélio is also famous for his great respect for opponents, and will never get involved in a fight or battle of words. Due to his excellent performances for Atlético Jutense in the Cafundelense League, Marco Aurélio’s reputation got so high that he was awarded the #10 shirt, usually given to a valuable member of the squad. This can be seen as the proof that he is going to be the leader of Cafundéu’s midfield.
Rating: A – Team Relationship: B – Morale: B – Form: A
PLAYED WC 50

15- Alcídio Viana AMARAL (Team: Petardos S/A)
Height: 177cm – Weight: 80kg – Age: 24 years old
Petardos S/A, although being a very international team with little space for Cafundelenses, usually have good native defensive midfielders. Amaral was brought from a small club, and quickly showed his abilities with the Billionaires’ shirt, taking the starting position from Mané and being a name asked by many supporters to feature in the National Team. Unfortunately for him, concorrence for a starting position is huge, but he has good qualities: an extremely defensive midfielder, can stop his opponents with his strength quite easily, and quickly link a pass to a more technical player. When a game gets rough, Amaral is surely to be called.

Neutral Midfielders:

8- Luís da Costa Figueroa "LUISINHO" (Team: Cafundó do Juta)
Height: 168cm – Weight: 66kg – Age: 28 years old
An often underrated player of the new generation in Cafundéu. During his whole career, Luisinho was seen as just a piano carrier for Central United, but as time passed it became impossible to not recognize his immense talent. Now with a transfer to Cafundó do Juta, the versatile midfielder won a chance as a starter of the National Team in his first call-up to the main squad. Luisinho is a good passer, knows how to handle the tempo of the game and to provoke opponents too! He hates to argue with the referee, but at the same time he hates the referees. Outside the field, Luisinho often is caustic when talking with reporters, although most people that know his say he is an extremely nice person.

21- Lisandro Mazzon Anturk "TURCO" (Team: Eldorado)
Height: 180cm – Weight: 74kg – Age: 26 years old
A player that looks like a warrior, Turco became famous for his red headband, which he wears in every game – and it is always the same piece of cloth, and also because of his determination and ferocity while playing: sometimes he even shouts before tackling an opponent, something that sounds like an attack. Due to this, Turco became a recognizable player in Cafundelense football, but he is more than just a weird person, he is a good footballer. Turco is more defensive than offensive, but can be seen as a neutral midfielder. His resistance is impressive, and also his stamina: is a player that can play an entire match without feeling tired. He also is very committed to tactics ordered by the coach.
Rating: C – Team Relationship: C – Morale: B – Form: A

Attacking Midfielders:

7- ADAMÍLSON Pedra Júnior (Team: Atlético Jutense)
Height: 168cm – Weight: 66kg – Age: 26 years old
Adamílson is an attacking midfielder who can do a better link with the attackers, even acting as a supporting forward. He scores many goals, and will frequently invade the opponent area. A truly genius in making assists, handles pressure very well and usually delivers fine performances. Is a humble person, but one that inside the field loves to make tricks and deceive opponents with cool dribbles. But he is also very hard to command, as he doesn’t respect his coaches or follow orders… this happened once with a police officer too, and this ended in a cool night in jail.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: B – Morale: C – Form: A

17- Gérson AGOSTINHO (Team: Caires City [CAM])
Height: 173cm – Weight: 75kg – Age: 26 years old
Another player who left in an early age to Candelaria And Marquez, Agostinho’s good form abroad meets its reward: the call-up to the Monopolists’ squad. Agostinho is a midfielder who has ease in setting offensive moves through passes, and can spot team mates in good positions without much wait, being a valuable player for counterattacks and quick moves. Also, Agostinho is very good in playing through the wings, something that isn’t as common for midfielders in Cafundéu as in other parts of the world, and will certainly help him to feature in some games of the National Team. In his personal life, Agostinho became known for his strange taste in choosing his clothes, and his tendency to spend too much money in useless things.
Rating: B – Team Relationship: B – Morale: B – Form: B

19- Derlei Frizzi DA COSTA (Team: Clube Comercial)
Height: 162cm - Weight: 63kg – Age: 25 years old
A player who was unlucky to not catch the attention of the major clubs of Cafundéu, which surely harmed his popularity. Starting his career in Metropolitano, he played for SC Lasft for many seasons before getting a move to Clube Comercial. With this, he failed to get more media exposure, and it was believed he wouldn’t be called after all. Surprisingly, the previous NT coach remembered him and gave him a chance, and after that he simply didn’t leave the National Team. Da Costa has a creativity and ability with the ball few have… but this isn’t a circus show, so he’ll have to use his talent wisely.

Attackers:

9- RAFAEL Borges de NUNES (Team: Cafundó do Juta)
Height: 176cm – Weight: 72kg – Age: 28 years old
The most promising Cafundelense football player since Alves, Rafael Nunes first appeared in the middle of a season, playing for Metropolitano. It didn’t take long for him to impress everyone with his goal instinct, and to be named the top youngster of the league. From that, he got participations in DBC teams and a deal to Cafundó do Juta, where he now awaits for more chances to play. About his abilities, he is a natural dribbler, capable of acting really fast and making the most creative and/or necessary dribbles and moves. Also, his goal instinct is excellent, helping him to position himself always where the ball is going to. Now leads the Cafundelense offence, and with this comes a huge responsibility for the now experienced player.

11- WELTON Guimarães (Team: Mercia Bromham [KRY])
Height: 171cm – Weight: 68kg – Age: 27 years old
A player that could be a starter for Petardos S/A right now, but an earlier transfer sent him to Krytenia, when he expects to make a huge impact. A lethal finisher, Welton is this: a finisher. He won’t create tons of moves or assists, but will certainly score if the opportunity appears. Surprisingly, he is also pretty good in giving defensive support to the team, helping whenever needed. And he is also good at diving too, surely a helpful talent. Welton is usually very demanding, and can even refuse to train if his employers don’t give him what he want: a captain’s armband, a better salary, starting position, more praise, a rest day… but when he receives everything he asks, he surely compensates all the effort others give to him by playing quality football.

18- César Valtan GUTIÉRREZ (Team: Ranca Toco)
Height: 177cm – Weight: 75kg – Age: 27 years old
A talented attacker who relies on speed to reach the goal. Gutiérrez isn’t a player who shoots with strength or manages to make impressively technical moves, but he can dribble well and run much better. When it comes for a playmaker to pass into space to him, nearly no defender can outpace him in the dispute for the ball. This is what makes Gutiérrez so praised, and he is expected to play a lot for the National Team. Even in young age, he is a very experienced player, having played even in Daehanjeiguk before the collapse of their previous league system. Due to this Gutiérrez still has problems in correctly speaking Portuguese, mixing it sometimes with the Han language.

23- Dirson Couto Zapete "DIDI" (Team: SC Lasft)
Height: 166cm – Weight: 64kg – Age: 23 years old
Bought from a really small team after the other main attackers of his club were sold or left, Didi initially was going to be just one more player in the squad. But... the man is a goalscoring machine, and a god of provocations! Of course we are exaggerating, but this is just to explain how he was called to the National Team, as this wasn’t something expected. Although not as good as the other forwards of the Monopolists, Didi’s finishes are accurate, and he can defeat most of the opponents’ defenders using his speed. But his best ability is really to make the opponents angry... his words can have a deep effect on others.

The 7 alternative options:

Goalkeeper: FELIPE Aramis McCosten (27 years old, playing in Dunboor FC)
Full-Back: Celso Fábio Williams MESQUITA (27 years old, playing in SC Lasft)
Defender: Teotônio de Azevedo ”TETEO” (22 years old, playing in Arrigo Portuguese [CAM])
Defensive Midfielder: Eduardo ”EDU” MIRANDA Peixoto (22 years old, playing in Bandeirantes)
Offensive Midfielder: RUBIANO de Paula Castañeda (25 years old, playing in Atlético Jutense)
Attacker: GILMAR Sarrakh (32 years old, playing in Deportivo Soluca [SRG])
Extra: Roberto Soares Chryz ”BETINHO” (23 years old, playing in Clube Comercial)

Staff:

Coach: Christophe ARGENTIER
Height: 177cm – Weight: 73kg – Age: 80 years old
In the Cafundelense league, Christophe Argentier became the sucessor of Franz Braddock: the experienced coach with a winning career and a close relation with Petardos S/A. Argentier was first a player for the Billionaires, coming from the winning squad of Ariddia in World Cup 34, and had a fine though not brilliant career for his domestic club. But as a coach he was simply great: won tons of titles and was the most respected of the coaches working on the CCFM league. It was already certain that he would be the chosen name if the CCFM decided to hire a foreigner as the Monopolists’ coach, as Argentier’s name equals success in the minds of the Cafundelenses. Of course, this also means that he is under an extreme pressure. Between the coaches, he is the one better suited for in-game orders, to adjust the team during the matches depending on the situation, using his experience of years commanding strong teams in the domestic league.

FORMER PLAYER FOR ARIDDIA

Coach: Ignacio VÉLEZ
Height: 175cm - Weight: 78kg - Age: 52 years old
When Ganz Ijak left the Cafundelense National Team to be a member of Franz Braddock's staff in Sarzonia's NT, the CCFM went desperately after a substitute for the WC Hall of Fame member. Reinaldo Franco took the job temporarily, while the CCFM made a deal with the CMSC, which would indicate the name for the job. In the end, the name of Ignacio Vélez was the most approved one, due to the former player's experience in the Cafundelense league, where he played for many seasons in Cafundó do Juta, being one of the top attackers of the league when his team was one of the dominating forces. After several cups as just an assistant, now Vélez takes the lead of the Cafundelense NT alongside his coaching partners. Between the three, he is the one who can work better with younger players, and help them to get motivated for the matches. Also, although he is the one with more link with the Monopolists, he is also the one with less coaching experience.

ASSISTANT IN 5 WORLD CUPS FOR CAFUNDÉU
PLAYER IN 5 WORLD CUPS FOR CANDELARIA AND MARQUEZ

Coach: Ensio VARG
Height: 192cm – Weight: 112kg – Age: 68 years old
A former goalkeeper, Ensio Varg played for Khalmar-Tijhus in Cafundéu, though his career in the National Team could be considered a better one. He quickly assumed the position of coach in his former domestic club, doing a fine job, and receiving the chance to coach his National Team soon after. He was some kind of assistant coach for Squornshelous. After this international experience, he got better chances in Cafundéu, assuming the position of Atlético Jutense coach after Ke Sho decided to leave the job. He is seen as one of the main responsibles for the team’s return to success, which sent them to the top positions of the Cafundelense league, international success and finally the national title after a long wait. So, he was called to command the Monopolists, this decision being influenced by his excellent last season, and he must keep his good form as a coach. Of all the three coaches, Ensio Varg is the best one to create and adjust training schedules, and also keep the players disciplined.

FORMER COACH OF SQUORNSHELOUS
FORMER PLAYER FOR SQUORNSHELOUS

Assistant Manager: Carlos MAROSSI
Height: 178cm – Weight: 90kg – Age: 44 years old
Cafundéu has three coaches for World Cup 51. This greatly diminishes the importance of the assistant manager, but he still is a necessary one. For this cup, the former captain of the NT Carlos Marossi was called, with this being his first experience in a coaching position. The CCFM has no big expectations around him, wanting him to learn from the other coaches and help them whenever needed... also, they are somewhat worried that he may organize parties for the players, as this was something that he did often while he was a player.

FORMER PLAYED FOR CAFUNDÉU

Administrative Manager: Director S. SANTOS
Height: 180cm – Weight: 89kg – Age: 62 years old
One of the directors of Banco Econômico, and the one who wasn’t involved with anything sports-related until getting this position. C.Pinguço is in the Han Empire, Santa is handling finances all around the world, I.Newton checking negotiations in Candelaria And Marquez, D.Lama in other leagues, J.Lennon checking for investment opportunities… Banco Econômico, member of the AUGECC, had to participate in the CCFM somewhere. And they managed to include one of their directors as the NT’s administrative manager, handling the non-football aspects of the team. Santos is friendly and loves to make jokes, and loves to spend money too! Sometimes he’ll throw away money, in the form of small airplanes made of a vintém note.

ADM. MANAGER IN WC 50

Spy/Scout: Mikklos IRVINZ
Height: 190cm - Weight: 88kg – Age: 40 years old
Don’t tell me that Irvinz has reached the National Team. He did. Mikklos Irvinz became famous for his appearances in the media during the time which he was supposed to be a secret spy for Petardos S/A. He got involved with bribing people, trying sabotage attempts against opponents, getting drunk and travelling 100km by feet looking to get to Wonderland… nothing serious. He also was a producer of porn videos and private detective before getting involved with football. He just wasn’t fired from Petardos S/A because he is immensely competent, hardly failing in a job and very good for spotting talents. And this ability sent him to the National Team, but he must be cautious.

Physical Trainer: Renan AYALA
Height: 166cm - Weight: 63kg – Age: 45 years old
A genius in the physical training area, Ayala isn’t one who really stays close with the players when they are in the academy. Renan is more a consultant, someone who can easily spot the necessities of each player and what they need to do to improve they physical conditions. The training schedules made by Ayala can be completely trusted, and with his help the Monopolists will probably be in top conditions for the matches.

Entertainer: Sérgio MALLANDRO FILHO
Height: 171cm - Weight: 78kg – Age: 49 years old
When the CCFM replaced the whole staff of the Cafundelense NT, people believed that finally they would get rid of Serginho Mallandro. Big mistake. Serginho left, but in his place his son, Mallandro Filho, was called. He tells the same jokes his father did, and the same phrases and funny (or at least intended to be funny) comments, as the “Glu-glu” and “Bilu-bilu tetéia” ones. The majority of the population used to love him (before his jokes became repetitive), but the players of the National Team are likely to try to assault him after each of his jokes.

ENTERTAINER IN WCs 46/47/48/49

Doctor: DR. Bárbara LIKHALIN
Height: 160cm - Weight: 48kg – Age: 45 years old
Honestly, no one really cares about the doctor of the National Team. The last one was easily replaced and few people noted his absence. Now, the doctor is Bárbara Likhalin, with experience in treating football players. She also has a good knowledge as a nutritionist, though this won’t be her main activity in the team. With Ayala as physical trainer, it is believe she won’t have much work to do.

DOCTOR IN WC 49

Security Chief: Captain Chicão TROMBADA
Height: 169cm – Weight: 81kg – Age: 36 years old
Famous for invading studios of important television channels, and for being the coach of Sorthern Northland’s Sub-21 team in the Di Bradini Cup, the former inmate of the Landau Institute became a member of the Cafundelense army, for his determination in punish people. He loves football, and got this position after begging for a whole week... now the others will have to beg for his mercy.

The Directors:

President of the CCFM: THE SCOUT
Age: around 60 – Time in the job: 3 years
Elected to be the President of the CCFM during the World Cup 49 qualifiers, in a widely discussed situation, The Scout is now the lead of Cafundelense football, and is getting involved in a lot of things that the CCFM President usually didn’t. The Scout became famous worldwide when he was the official scout of the CCFM, the first during its international era. He got kidnapped in World Cup 34 by football haters, was the main witness in Carlos Alberto Urubupungá’s trial, among other participations. More than this, for seasons he was the contact between the CCFM and many others sports organizations. So, he has a huge experience in handling different situations, and has good relations with many other leaders. The only worry is that he is willing to control the association more than his predecessors.

Vice-President of the CCFM: Reinaldo FRANCO
Age: 46 years old - Time in the job: 3 years
Former administrative manager of the National Team, Reinaldo Franco was chosen to the position of Vice-President of the CCFM by The Scout, in a much contested decision, as the former Vice-President Baron Ainer wanted to keep his position. Franco won’t have much to do, as The Scout is doing everything. With not much experience, Reinaldo can make some mistakes.

Nation: Somewhereistonia
Team Nickname: Eagles
Style Modifier: +3
Formation: 4-1-3-2
Home stadium: Spektakl-3-Arena
Kit:

Image1st Kit Image2nd Kit Image3rd Kit

Manager: Renário (the Cafundelense manager has had mixed success at world cup level, getting to the final with Demot. A properly top class manager eager to qualify once more with Somewhereistonia)
Assistant Manager: José Marín (the bestest ever Sargossan manager, apparently; even if they did lose 6-1 to the Eagles under him. He will remain as Deportivo Cordova manager during his time with the Eagles due to him not getting the proper job.)
Attacking coach: Kukas Skormilonski (former Eagles striker and assistant manager for Malak Free State.)
Defensive coach: Are you mad? Attack is the best form of defence, don't you know that? Oh wait, we do have one - Andrus Lurich the former Eagles Captain.
Head Physio: Gustav Tolving (Owner of a sports physio centre outside Qasarian, he has shown a brilliant ability to bring players back from injury sooner than expected).

Coming from the large scale reforms of the Cup of Harmony, the team now find themselves with some of that... what's the word? consistency, yeah, that's it. No I didn't use an online thesaurus for that, ok I did but I knew what I meant, k? Anyway, very few changes to what seems to be a team growing in experience.

Team roster. Positions shown within [square brackets]

First 11
1. Karela Hanaterisana, 29 [GK]. A former Norwellian, being non-genderqueer he was subject to some abuse in his home country, since his move to Somewhereistonia at the age of 17, he has enjoyed high levels of success at Ventspils Redwings and after gaining citizenship has finally won selection to the national squad. With Klug being moved aside, Hanaterisana is coming to the perfect age to set himself up to fill the #1 spot, and so he will.
2. Vladimir Volterov, 24 [LB]. The Volodiscow Resistance full back is one of great future promise, he looks for a long future of TQCC qualifying games and maybe more. Volterov was new to the side anyway so no need to move him out.
3. Nemanja Tuták, 20 [LCB]. The youngster has impressed with his club, Volodiscow Resistance and so has been shoved straight into the first team, replacing the lacklustre Hellat.
4.Kasper Grinius [C], 32 [RCB]. Grinius has shown strength and determination, even when let down by his other defenders. Grinius is now a starter for giants Green Island Zapata. The captain once struggled for a first team place but now finds himself leading the Eagles onto the pitch with perhaps only one or two more world cups he might qualify for, he will be determined to lead them to success. Grinius is now apparently the best defender in the CMSC so he is pretty impressive. Yes he is.
5. Vladimir Talaus, 23 [RB]. The Metalurgs full-back has been a consistent player if an irregular starter for his club. Stern performances have been marred by injuries to a player early into his career. A solid choice player for the ageing Sokk with Orviku and others available should Talaus once again drop out through injury.
6. Gintaras Cashunko, 26 [DMF]. The midfielder is an instant fit for the now retired Paposki. Cashunko's recent move from Volodiscow Resistance to Qasarian Sparta has raised some eyebrows but there is little reason to suggest that he cannot remain within the national team.
10. Kukas Kujenai 21 [SMF]. [Dinamo Moletai]. An upcoming star, strong, boisterous and quick. A great substitute to pull the full backs apart. Kejenai proved his ability during the Cup of Harmony, pushing Taska from the first team during the tournament.
8. Vytautas Törk [VC], 31 [MF]. A long term bench warmer for the national team, with Keres' fitness not as high as it once was, Törk gained a first team place back in the world cup 48 qualifiers, with Keres usually either being subbed off or on for the the dangerous midfielder. The $20m rated Royal Khaldoon midfielder is now a key part of this teams attack.
14. Kazys Xentolov, 27 [Fwd]. He recently scored a record 44 goals for Metalurgs in one season of the Meistrliiga. A huge threat to any team. Xentolov was instrumental in winning recent titles with Metalurgs. A big move to Cafundelense club Ranca Toco looks to be a new start for the player.
11. Wasi Tasi 18 [CF]. [Volodiscow Resistance]. An ethnic Rushmori immigrant to Ida Balak following the war with Kyrinskaia, Tasi soon gained citizenship and now looks to become a future star.
13. Alexis Birsa, 26 [SS/SMF] [Atlantas Klaipaada]. The player was snapped up by Atlantas from Hawks on his 16th birthday for an incredible $11m, showing just how much potential Birsa has. Two years on, he has yet to hold down an international place; having lacked consistency in the league although this is clearly becoming more threatening. Having a number of caps already (many off the bench), Birsa is perhaps the perfect replacement for Nolakk, who lacked creativity during the recent qualification campaign.

Subs:

9. Arak Nokk, 26 [Fwd]. The Volodiscow Resistance forward is expected to become a solid performer off the bench for the Eagles. Expect a few substitute goals from this guy.
7. Vincas Taska, 30 [RMF]. The former Dinamo star was once voted MIP for 2 seasons running. Quick of the mark and able to cross dangerously, he can trouble even the most experience fullback. A big move to Dancougar side, Sporting Kildare might boost his career. Targeted for a possible drop from the team, Taska's ability and technique have surely kept him in the side, even if his speed isn't what it once was.
12. Petr Šķēle, 26 [GK]. [Metalurgs]. A good solid keeper, ready to come in when called upon. Nothing special to see here.
15. August Vanka, 22 [CB]. [Ventspils Bluewings]. An up and coming talent, thought to be a long term replacement for Grinius. He still shows his inexperience at times and is a bit of a surprise selection.
16. Vladimir Belšekeva, 24 [FB]. [Metalurgs]. A dangerous attacking full-back, Belšekeva has shown his quality both going forward and in defence for Metalurgs and becoming one of the teams better players.
17. Ragnar Orviku 22 [LB]. [Dinamo Karrakiv]. A solid defender, and a future starter, for now, just a benchwarmer looking for a chance.
18. Mart Kusnets, 29 [SS]. [Qasarian Sparta]. The talented striker has shown himself to be something of an enigma, scoring fabulous goals when they are needed most. Qasarian Sparta have thus far managed to keep the striker in the wave of bids from other local clubs. Kusnets is now a heavy fan favourite but has now been dropped to the bench following years of being first pick for the national side.
19. Gennadij Demʹânovič, 20 [MF]. [Volodiscow Resistance]. A dynamic young player who looks to become a future star, the youngster seems keen to impress and should cause ripples through the game coming off the bench as he did during the Cup of Harmony.
20. Gintaras Ranilas, 25, [CB]. [Qasarian City]. A fairly good centre-back but perhaps a bit short of top level experience playing at City, it is too early to tell whether he will become a success at international level.
21. Alvis Vīķe-Freiberga, 24 [SMF]. [Metalurgs]. A dangerous crosser of the ball and a young talent who may yet become one of the greats. Till now though, despite shining moments, he can seem a little average.
22. Arak Kakela, 18 [DMF]. [Volodiscow Resistance]. The young midfielder has been targetted as the possible future replacement for Cashunko although he has struggled to make the position for his club his own, with Toomas Vilms probiding the competition there as well as for the national team place.
23. Vladimir Zanák 22 [GK]. [Somewhere in Nethertopia]. Zanák looks to be the likely successor to Hanaterisana and wins a place among what is likely to be his future first team players.

INSTITUTE MEDICAL/WAR COMMITEE PREPARES LIST OF PLAYERS FOR WORLD CUP 50

It was a long time ago. In World Cup 39, the Landau Institute, representing the whole country of Estresse Intenso at that time, had a difficult qualifying stage. No, we can’t say this. This team has nothing to do with that Estresse Intenso team, because we aren’t Estresse Intenso. We are the Landau Institute, which is a part of it, truly, but a very special part. We alone can be considered a true society, a true nation, although not an official one.

So let’s restart. In World Cup 39, our doctors and patients of the Landau Institute that were in the Estresse Intenso team faced many difficulties. The qualification for the World Cup, as happened in WC36, was far away, and the team was even losing its home games in the Sector-Delta Sporting Field. But the final blow that completely destroyed the motivated of the Institute members was the illness of The Machine, the team’s coach. Constructed to lead the team to glory, by Pascal Caelaphyluso, a mystical person from the Dreamed Realm, The Machine, which was built with common mechanical objects, including the oven that represented his body, became more human as time passed, and ended suffering a serious illness due to this, which ended bringing him to death by the end of the qualifiers. After that, Estresse Intenso could even finish second in the Cup of Harmony, but that was the end of the team. The Machine’s death led Estresse Intenso to announce its retirement from the World Cup, giving space to the Independent Territory of Terreiro de Ogum, which had an average performance in the World Cup.

But now it is time for Landau Institute to really enter in the World Cup, no more representing a failed country, no more carrying a flag that isn’t ours! It is time for the Institute to play football representing all the doctors and patients of our island. And we have the right players and the right staff for it... including our coach, our biggest motivator and leader in this competition, the one that will give us all the hints for success. Now that we are playing as ourselves, the Landau Institute, we have to show the world the ability of our habitants, doctors and patients, united in a new team, revived from the ashes of Estresse Intenso!

(IMPORTANT: it is preferable to use the names in BOLD of my players when writing your RPs [if they are involved], as these are the names that they use when playing [the names in their shirts], instead of using their full name. Now to the most important: please do not write the names of my players in all capitals, this is important for me too. When writing a name of one of my players in your RP, write like you would write a name for any other player)

The List:

Goalkeepers:

1- Doctor Germano MALDONADO (Team: Cardiologists)
Age: 48
Occupation: member of Cardiology department - common patients’ area
Bio: Maldonado has just become the goalkeeper of the Cardiologists team, and impressed the whole Institute with his excellent performances. As the team is composed by the top performers of the league, Maldonado won this place, even without having much experience. His long hair is his signature mark. He jumps on practically every ball to make a save, loving to impress everyone watching him.

12- Doctor Heraldo ARAGÃO (Team: Orthopaedists)
Age: 46
Occupation: member of the Orthopaedic department – stable patients’ area
Bio: the Orthopaedists have a team that is rising on the Laifódi league, conquering some important results, and the arrival of doctor Aragão is one of the things that helped them to win many games. Aragão is a concentrated and efficient goalkeeper, and also a talented doctor, who likes to talk with his patients.

22- Doctor Abel DIX (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 50
Occupation: permanent member of Neurology Institute department
Bio: after so many World Cups using the same roster, finally the Landau Institute squad feature some changes. And the first one involves goalkeepers, with Doctor Dix replacing his master Professor Brown, who is now really at an old age and simply couldn't play football anymore due to medical reasons. About Dix, he is a fine keeper, just that.

Full-backs:

2- Professor Matias ROCHER (Team: Otorhinolaryngologists)
Age: 59
Occupation: head of the Otorhinolaryngology Institute department; member of the Breath High Council; head teacher of his department in the Institute University
Bio: Professor Rocher is a symbol of the Landau Institute. Was born here, raised here, studied here and now is head of his department. Studying medicine since he was just a child, Rocher surely has a huge knowledge, and is one of the most famous doctors of the Landau Institute. Also, has a good relationship with most patients and with the doctors too, being a person that most people like. As a football player, Rocher is fast and is able to make some excellent passes, long or short.

6- GABRIEL Leite Cruz (Team: Physical Trainers)
Age: 34
Occupation: member of the Sporting Activities department
Bio: Gabriel is a young player of the Landau Institute team, and due to that is a player with a very good physical condition. Usually all players of the team are in perfect health conditions, but Gabriel is the one least likely to suffer an injury. His crossings are his best ability, and he is a quiet person.

14- Doctor Mendelúcio SOBRINHO (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 54
Occupation: member of the Psychiatry department – I. T. Patients’ area
Bio: Doctor Sobrinho works in the dangerous area of the Institute, where the patients can’t be controlled by the medicines given by the doctors. Due to that, he is a cautious person and one who can deal with most difficulties in his work – something that happens when he is playing football too.

16- Professor Juliane LAIRIE (Team: Oncologists)
Age: 61
Occupation: permanent member of the Oncology Institute department; teacher in the Institute University
Bio: oldest woman to reach the National Team of Landau Institute, she is another player replacing an old doctor who leaves the squad. Lairie is excellent in controlling the ball and wasting time, so may enter the match if the doctors are needing to keep a lead and control the game until its end.

Defenders:

3- Doctor Renato RIBEIRO (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 61
Occupation: permanent member of the Neurology Institute department
Bio: the Neurologists team is mostly composed by experienced doctors, so its average age is one of the highest of the league. But it also has many top players, and Ribeiro is another of them. Fanatic for football, he isn’t much dedicated to his work, although years of service granted him a place among the leaders of the department. But you can’t expect him to work until late hours in the night.

4- VALDIR Marrocos Pitoco (Team: Security)
Age: 38
Occupation: member of Landau Institute’s security – island area
Bio: a member of the security team in the Institute’s National Team? Yes. Although the team isn’t a very good one, it often has good defenders. We don’t need to say that Valdir is a highly physical player, who uses his strength to defeat his opponent, sometimes with fouls. But, outside the field, he is a nice person, and loves watching soap operas.

13- Doctor Augusto MENDES DÍAZ (Team: Toxicologists)
Age: 41
Occupation: member of the Toxicology department – common patients’ area
Bio: Doctor Mendes Díaz is a young doctor, who still didn’t have any big achievements inside the Institute as a doctor – he is only a working doctor in his department, nothing special. But, as a football player, he has already shown his ability as defender, and he also claims that he can discover if a player is using drugs or not by just smelling his watch or socks.

21- Doctor Kléber LA CODETI (Team: Gynaecologists)
Age: 64
Occupation: permanent member of the Gynaecology Institute department; member of Sexual MEDICAL Studies High Council
Bio: Doctor La Codeti is surely the best player of the Gynaecologists team, an average one which has a good teamwork and tactical awareness that makes them get some good results. La Codeti is a talkative person, and loves to invent stories. He is also a member of the Sexual Council, which had to have the work medical written in all capitals in its name due to many people thinking that the council was intended for other activities.

Defensive Midfielders:

5- Professor Tarcísio DUPONT (Team: General Practitioners)
Age: 53
Occupation: member of the General Practice department – I. T. Patients area; teacher of the Institute University
Bio: Professor Dupont is a very determined person, and one who never gives up when he has an objective. Working with unstable patients, he had already many problems about insisting in giving medicines to patients that were having bad reactions to them, with some fatalities involved. He also is a very demanding player, as much as he is with his students, with his classes being one of the most difficult of the university. Dupont wanted to be the captain of the team, but probably the fact that he is a general practitioner didn’t help him in this.

8- Doctor Paula Raquel Fernandes SPLITSSCHER (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 32
Occupation: member of the Psychiatric department – stable patients’ area
Bio: one of the few women in the Landau Institute Natioal Team, Doctor Splitsscher is also the youngest player of the team, and also a very talented football player, with an excellent vision and positioning, being able to start good counterattacks. Her career in the psychiatry area is still beginning, so she doesn’t have any titles or awards.

15- Professor Benedito ORDOMERAT (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 47
Occupation: member of the Neurology department; teacher of the Institute University
Bio: another player from the Neurologists replacing another Neurologists' Professor retiring from football. Ordomerat is an extremely defensive player, and somewhat violent. He has a strong left foot, and can even score some goals. Usually his job will be to tackle the oponent and then place a nice pass to the attack.

20- Caio MOTTA Vagrandini (Team: Stable Patients)
Age: 46
Situation: under observation by psychologists – former mental illness
Bio: Motta is one of the two patients that got to the Landau Institute National Team. Currently Motta is considered cured by the doctors responsible for him, and under observation in the stable patients’ area. But he used to have severe hallucinations, which made him completely unable to communicate or to act with his free will until these hallucinations ended, which made him pass years of his life in the intensive treatment area. Well, glad that he is cured now... is he?

Offensive Midfielders:

7- Doctor Giuliana Carvalho LEÓN (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 38
Occupation: permanent member of the Psychiatric Institute department
Bio: another female psychiatrist in the National Team, she is considered the main responsible for leading her team in the Laifódi competition, due to her incredible dribbling ability. She is very good at humiliating other players with her dribbles and inventive shots, and people say she acts the same way when counselling patients. She is very stubborn and short-tempered, and can engage in long discussions. She is also fast when controlling the ball, but dislikes long-ranged shots.

11- Doctor Sidney Harmangi Hill "DR. ALIEN" (Team: Otorhinolaryngologists)
Age: 52
Occupation: member of the Otorhinolaryngology department – stable patients’ area
Bio: Doctor Hill isn’t a famous person inside the Landau Institute. In fact, even in the Laifódi (the Institute league) scene he wasn’t a well-known name. But last season he showed everyone that he is simply the best set pieces taker of the entire place. Also, his heading abilities are extremely useful to help the team to score goals and defend. He is slowly becoming famous inside the Institute, but still has to improve his treatment methods. After an experience with an extraterrestrial creature infected him with an unknown toxin, Hill suffered a complete mutation, developing supernatural strength and stamina, becoming much taller and heavier, with purple skin and a deformed face, turning himself into a monster. Now he is called Dr. Alien.

17- Doctor Iago TRAVES (Team: Neurologists)
Age: 53
Occupation: member of the Neurology department
Bio: going to replace the founder of the new National Team, Professor Wambrocking, who died last year, Doctor Traves has a big responsibility, as he is the first choice player to enter the game when needed. Very quick with the ball and also intelligent enough to create good goalscoring attempts, Traves is someone who will be even aiming to be a starter in this team, usually one who doesn't allow many line-up changes.

19- JOHANN Brass (Team: I. T. Patients)
Age: 38
Situation: under intensive treatment by cardiologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, endocrinologists and hypnotherapists; illness not yet identified
Bio: a ferocious player – literally. Johann is a member of the intensive treatment area, due to having an uncontrollable rage, which starts without warning. His rage attacks are impressive to watch, as he tends to completely destroy a beef or eat a latrine in seconds. A huge group of doctors is actually trying to control him, but only hypnosis has some effects – which lasts for little time. When playing football, Johann is known for his long individual runs and potent shots, and is sometimes called Johann Foguete.

Attackers:

9- Doctor Eduardo da Cunha GADESCU (Team: Pulmonologists)
Age: 55
Occupation: member of the Pulmonologist department; member of the Research department; member of the General Practice department – all in the common patients’ area
Bio: surprisingly the only doctor of this team who has more than one specialty – something that is common in the Institute – Doctor Gadescu plays for the Pulmonologists, as this is the area where he acts the most, and where he has shown big talent, being considered one of the possible future leaders of this area inside the Landau Institute. A calm person, doesn’t like to take risks.

10- Professor Fabrício ABRAHIM Mendoza (Team: Oncologists) – [COLOR="Red"]team captain[/COLOR]
Age: 72
Occupation: head of the Oncology Institute department; head teacher of his department in the Institute University
Bio: the top scorer of the Laifódi league and one of Landau Institute’s legends in the attack. Professor Abrahim is a goalscorer by nature, he seems to have born with goal instinct. He can be sleeping on the grass during the game that the ball will surely hit him and enter the goal. Because of his fame and his experience in football, the coach’s choice of putting him as the captain was accepted by everyone. As a doctor, he is very humble, and likes to personally check the situation of his many patients. Is surely the key player of this team, although some people claim it is Doctor León.

18- Professor Raimundo Nonato PASCOAL (Team: Psychiatrists)
Age: 66
Occupation: permanent member of the Psychiatry Institute department; member of the Brain High Council; teacher of the Institute University
Bio: an experience psychiatrist, Professor Pascoal seems to have updated his skills to a mythical level. Many people say that the legend that Pascoal can read the minds of other people and fully predict what someone will do is true, although the doctor denies this. But, if this is not true, how can he shoot exactly where the goalkeeper won’t go?

23- Doctor Aline Merengue DE FRUTI (Team: Dentists)
Age: 40
Occupation: member of the Dentistry department of the Institute
Bio: she is an attacker who provokes the same feeling in both her patients and the opponents’ defenders and goalkeepers: fear. Her patients scream: “please have mercy of my mouth!” while her opponents scream: “please have mercy of our goal!” But she is deadly (not in the literal sense, she didn’t kill any patients), and can score goals with ability.

The Staff:

Head Coach: The Memory Ball
Age: unknown
Occupation: ball made of something that looks like glass, or maybe it is some rock... I don’t know, it is orange... wait, it changed the colour to blue... I give up
Bio: this is what (or who) gave the Landau Institute the motivation to return to world football. This ball, according to Gaspar Aecalyopheno, stores all the memories of the creator of The Machine, Pascal Caelaphyluso, who used his abilities from the dreamed realm to give life to the former coach of the Estresse Intenso team. Pascal was dead, but now this ball is considered to be him, as it has his memories and does what he would do in each situation. Most people, then, seem to agree that the ball is Pascal himself, and that it is his soul which is stored. The memory ball floats on the air and can move with good speed. Gaspar says that the ball talks, but as no one has never heard anything from the ball, it must be through telepathy. The Memory Ball has a huge knowledge about football tactics, and seems to be preparing well the Landau Institute team for the competitions.

Assistant Head Coach: Gaspar Aecalyopheno
Age: 58
Occupation: member of Landau Institute’s presidency chamber; member of Mythical Debate High Council
Bio: Aecalyopheno is the apprentice of Pascal Caelaphyluso, who came to the Landau Institute from the Dreamed Realm when his master was still alive. He seems to have learned a lot from his master, but not everything, and is clearly considered as a person with inferior knowledge and talent than the much missed Pascal. With the arrival of the Memory Ball, Gaspar saw the return of his old master, and his extremely happy and motivated. As he is the only one who can communicate with the ball, he has now the position of assistant head coach, and he also is the one who will give the ball’s orders to the team, and also the one who will discuss with the referee if needed.

Common Coach: Doctor Aristides Igaben
Age: 81
Occupation: member of the Surgery department of the Institute
Bio: Doctor Igaben is the coach of the team, the one who will actually give the team the training and make them fit for the games. He will have no participation during the games, being only responsible for pre and post-game events. As a doctor, Igaben is a good surgeon, although not one with the highest reputation inside the Landau Institute.

Background Detail: differently from Cafundéu, Estresse Intenso is an absurd place. In every corner, you'll find riots, prophets saying that the world will end soon, crazy people walking on the streets, cars being exploded, huge holes on the ground that probably lead to Hell, big helicopters sending the most different types of messages to the people. No police. No proper government to contain the people. A true chaos. The only place where the people can find protection is inside the office buildings, huge skyscrapers controlled by Cafundelense companies estabilished in Estresse Intenso. These office buildings have security guards that defend the place and negotiate with the gangs that "work" on the streets. These normal people that decide to live in the office buildings have to work to "pay" for their stay, food and security. In fact, there is no money in Estresse Intenso. This situation comes close to slavery. Because of that, the office buildings have some influence in the country.

The Landau Institute is a part of Estresse Intenso, but there things are different. It is located in the Lowrni island, between the country and Bazalonia, and seems to be completely independent from the country. The Institute is a place where the people that succumbed to the stress (or became crazy in the middle of the chaos) go to get a treatment. The doctors there are excellent, and the patients well-treated, receiving attention and the help necessary. A much better and calm place to live, the Landau Institute is a paradise in the middle of Hell. The doctors control the place, but they don't live in better conditions than the patients (a lie! They do, although it is not such a big difference).

If my opponent RP's first they can:
Choose my goalscorers - Yes
Godmod Scoring Events - Yes
RP injuries to my players - Yes
Godmod injuries to my players - Yes (no only to the duration of the injury)
Hand out Yellow cards to my players - Yes
Hand out Red cards to my players - Yes (max of 3)
Godmod Other Events - Yes (although avoid really unreal things - though you can be free to be unreal when it is about Dr. Alien - in fact, you should be unreal in his case)
