Main Draw

Scorination and RP Bonus
Scorination will be run between 10:00 AM and 12:00 AM US Central Time from July 29 to August 4. After that, the scorination time for the next matchday will be announced on each matchday. Scorination will be using xkoranate 0.3.3 using their tennis formula. Matches will be best of three sets, and doubles will involve a super tiebreaker (if anyone wants to test the scorinator I have built for this, please see the following link: click. RP bonus will be similar to the Olympics bonus, with 25% going to the best RP, 50% going to the sum of the RP bonuses, and 25% going to the last day's RP bonus. This will be multiplied by 25 and will be directly added to the rank. RPs will be graded on a scale of 0 to 4, with values such as 1, 2.3, and 3.313 permitted. Quality > quantity; while a novella is not needed to gain a high RP bonus, a RP along the lines of "My person won. I am happy" will not achieve much RP bonus. A nation with unranked players could, with a high RP bonus, have a rank of around the 62nd seed on the first day, with it increasing as the tournament goes on.

Good luck, and may the balls be ever in your favor!

4 Britonishes have been put in groups

Though this tournament was supposed to be held in Britonisea, it has been moved back until January-February next year. It will be one of the first ATP tours for 2015. In group 1 there is Master Larry who is a few years younger than his brother Peter P Larry.

(1) Elia Xal (CEN)
Master Larry (BRI)
Zack White (EST)
Megan Stevenson (SLL)
Mario Rossi (COB)

he is against an Estopian, A woman from Super Llamaland and also some guy from a trigramme of COB. Quite an interesting group but they will not stand a chance. Master practises with his brother who is the top 15!

(14) Matt Grady (SLL)
George Wilis (BRI)
Brandon Rodden (PPL)
Taylor Hetner (EST)
Deanne Smith (ETM)

Geroge Willis, who is Britonisea's 5th best tennis player needs a rank in the ATP. He is going to be an up star in tennis just like Ricardo Toli was. This is group 5.

(7) Jeremy Lasturias (FSS)
Lucky Haters (BRI)
Graham Royce (DRV)
Danny Podolski (THA)
Mark Johnson (COB)

Lucky Haters is a woman from Britonisea and she will be taking part in the Cenian Masters this year! She is very new and has no experience, what so ever, in tennis. Poor girl.

(2) Sonya Gredello (ETM)
Darcey Baslet (BRI)
Keigo Redfoot (PPL)
Aaron Murphy (EST)
(WC) Aiel Kenol (CEN)

Sonya Gredello is expected to be the best in her group because she is one of the best in doubles so she will survive unless Darcey beats her. We need lots of Britonish people in the top 100. This is our mission. Wish us good luck.

Group 1
(1) Elia Xal (CEN)
Master Larry (BRI)
Zack White (EST)
Megan Stevenson (SLL)
Mario Rossi (COB)

Zack White begins his pro career at the Cenial Masters at the age of 16 but he is no stranger to good tennis. He is the younger brother of Jared White, currently ranked 26th in the world, and also the twin brother of Sam White, another qualifier here at the Cenial Masters. Of the three brothers, Zack probably has the most raw talent. He begins play in the qualifying rounds at the Cenial Masters in Group 1 which is arguably the toughest one to be in. In the group is the tope seeded qualifier, Elia Xal of Ceni. She is ranked 65th and so just missed out on automatically qualifying. She is the heavy favorite to win this group and advance to the main draw. Also is=n this group is another younger brother of a tennis star from Britonisea, Master Larry. His older brother, Peter P Larry, is ranked number 15 so Master is also no stranger to top notch tennis. Megan Stevenson from Super Llamaland is also in this group along with Mario Rossi from Cobmeister. Super Llamaland typically has quality tennis players so Stevenson could pose a challenge to anyone trying to advance. Not much is known about Rossi or Cobmeister. This group should go to Xal with second place being a battle between White and Larry.

Group 2
(3) Piper Antoine (SLL)
James Shanson (PPL)
John Wilmer (EST)
Marc Burns (DRV)
Aulia Sadaq (RAR)

John Wilmer is also starting his professional tennis career tomorrow in the qualifying rounds of the Cenial Masters. Wilmer is also a young star at only 18 years old. He grew up a relatively poor child in Port Falls, Estope and first learned tennis by hitting the ball against the side of the house with his mother's old racket. He then began to play tennis with neighborhood kids at park and quickly became a very good player. His mother entered him, against his will, in the Junior Tennis Championships. For him tennis was about having fun, not about the competition. However, he shocked the field reached the Quarterfinals in his very first appearance. This is when his career really started. Wilmer received sponsorships and was able to travel around the country to enter more and more tournaments and even winning some. He now enters the world professional level hoping to become the next Estope tennis star. He too will face a tough road in the qualifiers with Piper Antoine of Super Llamaland, ranked 89th, as the top seed in the group. Marc Burns, ranked 84th in the world, has also been placed in this group, although he is unseeded. Those two are highly favored to advance. Aulia Sadaq is also ranked, although only at 157. Wilmer looks as to have an uphill climb ahead of him but if anyone is skilled in overcoming adversity, it is Wilmer.

Group 5
(14) Matt Grady (SLL)
George Wilis (BRI)
Brandon Rodden (PPL)
Taylor Hetner (EST)
Deanne Smith (ETM)

Taylor Hetner debuts on the international stage as the Estope amateur champion. His tennis career before his long awaited championship was one of disappointment. He has constantly been ranked in the top five of the Estope amateur rankings but has yet to ever really break through. The 19 year old hopes to carry this momentum with him to the international stage. He has a very manageable group headlined by Matt Grady of Super Llamaland. Grady is 130th in the world and will be the toughest test, but not an impossible one. George Wilis of Britonisea will also be tough since he is the 5th best player in Britonisea, which is a formidable tennis nation. Brandon Rodden and Deanne Smith both have potential to act as spoiler but hardly have a chance of advancing. This is an interesting group to watch to see if Hetner is physiologically prepared to handle professional tennis.

Group 10
(5) Malcolm Press (ETM)
Ibrahim Ikajovich (PPL)
Jack Lewis (EST)
Neia Dovan (CEN)
Mario Angrisano (FSS)

Jack Lewis enters the competition as a local hero and national superstar. At only age 17, Lewis has been dominating the amateur level for the past three years, losing only three tournaments over the course of his run including his last one in the finals against Taylor Hetner in the Estope Amateur Championship. Most experts view Lewis as Estope's next big tennis superstar and one who can break through where others such as Roley and White have been unable to. This young star is the hope for the future of Estope tennis and many feel he can make an immediate impact. Of course he has a tough task ahead of him with Malcolm Press of Electrum in the group. Neia Dovan of Ceni will also be tough opposition to Lewis. Expect it to be a close battle between those two to determine who finishes second and advance onward to the main draw.

Group 11
(16) Lewis Diver (DRV)
Jonathan Murray (EST)
Jacob Hunter (JAC)
Matt Dannemand (THA)
Daniel O'Suillebhain (COB)

Jonathan Murray begins his career in the professional level as a relative unknown. Rather than taking the usual routes of playing the amateur tournaments first and then going to the pros, Murray instead chose to go to college and play in the much easier national college tennis league. There he never lost a match but yet also never won the national championship because tennis in college is a team sport and the rest of his team was not quite as talented as Murray was. At age 22 he has finally graduated and is ready to enter the international stage. He was placed in an easy group with the lowest of the seeded players but still will probably have to take some time to adjust to the much higher level of competition than he is used to. He probably won't be able to qualify this time around but should hopefully become at least acclimated with the style of play for future tournaments.

Group 12
(8) Mia Cassington (ETM)
Snake Smithers (PPL)
Ellela Thotan (CEN)
Ikechukwu Ihejirika (COB)
Louis Hurst (EST)

Louis Hurst just barely squeaked by to earn the last qualifying seed for Estope. He is a decent player but just doesn't have the skill level of the rest of the competition. Despite what looks like a manageable group, it is clear that he needs some more experience before he will be able to advance from the qualifying rounds. It really is hard to see him advancing back to the qualifying round in the future even. He needed a lot of luck to make it even this far so it will be interesting to see if he takes advantage of this opportunity or just lets it pass him.

Group 15
(4) Dioro Hansil (CEN)
Roger Boucharde (PPL)
Sam White (EST)
Simon Sanderson (DRV)
Ham Case (JAC)

Sam White, twin brother of Zack White and younger brother of Jared White, is part of Estope's most well known tennis family. He and his brothers have been trained by their parents to be pro tennis players ever since they could hold a racket. And so far the training has paid off. Jared White quickly shot to the top of the tennis world before crashing back down. While he has been on the down fall, 16 year old twins Zack and Sam White have been shooting up. This will be the twins first international tennis tournament and Sam White hopes to take full advantage of it. Like his brother, he too has a tough qualifying road ahead of him. Dioro Hansil will be playing in his home country of Ceni and has a higher ranking than anyone else in the group. Sam White, with his talent, should be able to finish second and nab the second spot for advancing but Simon Sanderson and Roger Boucharde will definitely pose a threat to get in White's way.

Group 16
(2) Sonya Gredello (ETM)
Darcey Baslet (BRI)
Keigo Redfoot (PPL)
Aaron Murphy (EST)
(WC) Aiel Kenol (CEN)

Aaron Murphy finally makes the transition from doubles to singles. He will still be playing doubles with his partner Taylor Mars just not for this tournament. He probably won't make too much noise since he has never really played singles too much and instead focuses on doubles.

Here's your first day RP cutoff.

Also, for everyone's notice, I had one late entry, 2 singles and 2 doubles. The 2 singles players replaced my two wildcards and the 2 doubles players were added to the qualification draw. The singles groups are the same with the exception of the two groups my wild cards were in, who were replaced by the late singles entries, and the doubles draw was reseeded due to the late entry, and as such, the draw has been affected. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

Zack White (EST) 7 7
Megan Stevenson (SLL) 5 6

Zack White came on top in his opening match of the Cenial Masters in two very tight sets. Megan Stevenson proved to be quite the challenger for White in his professional debut, but in the end he was able to finish off each set when it mattered the most. White looked very good out there for a 16 year old against such fierce competition. Stevenson is a very good player. White was just better today. His style is very similar to that of Brett Roley. He relies on a powerful serve and forehand to create many winners and quick points. Zack White is one of many young rising stars in Estope hoping to be the next great tennis star and revive Estope's falling reputation in the tennis world. This match was definitely a step in the right direction. White still has a three more matches ahead of him and needs to finish first or second in order to advance. With one tough match out of the way he still has many more to come. Master Larry also won his opener today in two sets and so he will be a tough opponent for White. Top seed Elia Xal had a bye today but she will no doubt be the toughest opponent in the group. White has what it takes to move on, especially if he continues to play as he did today.

John Wilmer (EST) 7 6
Aulia Sadaq (RAR) 6 2

John Wilmer overcame a tough first set in which he saw himself fall behind 3-0 to comeback and take it in a tiebreaker. He then carried the momentum with him to win the second set with ease. A slow start was to be expected by Wilmer since he really is not used to level of play that will be on display here in Ceni. But after he adjusted, he played phenomenally. Sadaq will not be his toughest test but he was Wilmer's first. He too will have some tougher challenges ahead of him, including Piper Antoine who has yet to play. Wilmer has had a tough past but he appears to be on a track to make him one of Estope's top tennis players and biggest celebrities. His backstory of how he made it this far is why he is such a tough tennis player.

Brandon Rodden (PPL) 4 4
Taylor Hetner (EST) 6 6

Taylor Hetner continued his winning ways with a relatively easy two set victory over Brandon Rodden. Of all the new Estope tennis players competing in the Cenial Masters, Hetner has looked the best. He was dominate throughout his opening match and was very consistent, which is unusual for him. Whether it was just the quality of competition or if Hetner really has taken a huge step forward following his Amateur Championship is yet to be seen but we will find out soon enough in the upcoming matches. He is currently tied for top of his group with Deanne Smith of Electrum with 14 seed Matt Grady yet to play. Hetner's future certainly looks promising following his first match and it will be fun to watch him the rest of the way.

Jack Lewis (EST) 3 4
Neia Dovan (CEN) 6 6

Jack Lewis went down hard in his first professional tennis match. He came in with the highest expectations of all of Estope's newcomers and so far has been the biggest disappointment. Neia Dovan ran Lewis all over the court and controlled the match from the beginning. While this doesn't completely end his hopes of advances, it definitely dampens then. Lewis will probably need to win out in order to have a chance at going forward. No doubt Lewis is physically capable of doing just that, since he is one of Estope's most talented, but mentally he will have to rebound. A bad loss like this can throw a player off his game in the upcoming match. Luckily this portion of the tournament is not single elimination so he will have a chance to rebound. It will not be easy for this young star who is used to winning most everything to have to come out after a loss and have to try and make a comeback.

Jonathan Murray (EST) 4 6 6
Daniel O'Suillebhain (COB) 6 2 3

It took former college player Jonathan Murray a set to find his rhythm but once he did he looked unbeatable out on the court. Daniel O'Suillebhain capitalized on Murray's inconsistency in the first but couldn't keep up with Murray once he settled in. With having only college level experience, it was not at all surprising to see Murray get off to a slow start. International professionals are much more talented than Estope college level players after all. But the way Murray responded mentally after getting down a set early was surprising. Murray has mental toughness that no one expected to see from him since he has never really been tested in a match. It will be interesting if he struggles in the upcoming matches or if he maintains the focus he found here today.

Snake Smithers (PPL) 6 5 6
Louis Hurst (EST) 3 7 3

Despite not being nearly as talented as the rest of the Estope field, Louis Hurst did a commendable job in his narrow three set loss to Snake Smithers. Hurst is not out of contention officially but realistically he never really had much of a shot to begin with. After barely squeaking out of Estope qualifiers to make it to the Cenial Open qualifiers, many expected Hurst to lose all four matches quickly and then never be heard from again. And while he did lose his first match, he showed an unexpected amount of heart in the loss. He proved to be more of a fighter than many expected. Of course one must consider the competition. Smithers is hardly a top notch opponent and the road will only get harder for Hurst from here so he very well may lose all his matches. But with the way he played today, he'll go down fighting.

Sam White (EST) 4 6 4
Simon Sanderson (DRV) 6 3 6

Sam White did not fare as well as his twin brother Zack in his opener. It took three sets for White to be defeated by Simon Sanderson. All three sets were close and only had one break in each set that decided it. While Sam White is not quite as talented as his twin brother Zack, many still felt he had a great chance to make some waves. While the tournament format gives him a second chance, it will take a lot of hard work for White to be able to overcome an opening loss.

Keigo Redfoot (PPL) 6 6 4
Aaron Murphy (EST) 7 1 6

Aaron Murphy won despite losing the second set 6-1. As he tries to transition from doubles to singles, he has his first victory that should really help his moral going forward. It is highly unlikely that he will advance far in this tournament but this will be a good learning experience for the future.

Post-Match Interview with Mario Angrisano
Basil Times

Mario, how do you feel about today's performance?
Excellent, excellent. I made some mistakes in the first set but I played strongly for the rest of the match and didn't give up any points. In the end that was good enough to give me the win I needed.

How do you feel about your odds of making it out of qualifiers this time?
You know, breaking into the ATP is really exhausting and at this level it's a marathon more than a sprint. So I can't say for sure yet.

Who would you say is your biggest threat?
Neia Dovan is obviously the man to beat in our group, but from what I could see Jack Lewis looks like a great athlete and a strong player, and comes from a culture of tennis excellence. I'm eager to play him and see how we match up.

Do you have comments on the performance of the other Swiss athletes here at the Masters?
I was really hoping Márcio would pull off the victory, especially because he looked so good going into that 3rd set. I'm sure he'll get another chance, though. The rest of the team looked great, of course, 3 wins. Woo!

Who's your favorite to win it all?
Oh, gosh. I think if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Brett Roley of Estope. He won the Lusavik Open when I was just getting started competitively and it was a big inspiration for me. I hope he gets a piece of a big tournament like this.

How are you feeling about the Olympics?
I mean, my training cycle is based around the Olympics. So I'm not at peak form right now, but I hope to be then. So I'm hoping to do well here, and do better there. But you never know. Life can surprise you sometimes.

Thanks for the interview. Best of luck!
Thanks!

Zoran Jovanovic (CDO) 4 6 6
Nikita Aleksov (ETA) 6 2 3

Nikita Aleksov started well by winning the first set taking 6 games and losing 4 and had an overall excellent performance in the start and he was on excellent form, but on the second all things broke after a small, good start and Zoran Jovanovic was stopping every shot of Nikita, Nikita was tired of moving to all his side of pitch and Zoran Jovanovic won the second set with 6-2 and an amazing form, Nikita was on a better form on the third set, but he didn't started well, in the middle of the set, he was doing an excellent job and then in the end he was very tired and Zoran did an excellent smash which Nikita couldn't stop. Nikita lost 2-1 in the sets and he's in the last place of group 3.

Budi Tri Raja (RDD) 3 6 2
Filipp Maksimov (ETA) 6 2 6

Filipp Maksimov, one of the most talented tennists in Estenia won Budi Tri Raja by starting well on the first set, breaking the defences of Raja and winning the first set with 3-6. The second Set wasn't good for Filipp as Raja tried his best and did excellent strikes, but Filipp was trying to defend, but what a pity, he lost the set with 6-2. On the third set, Filipp had an excellent form as he wanted to end that set fast, he drunk some water and then he tried some spinning shots which confused Raja and made it harder for him to hit the ball, on the last shot, Filipp did an excellent shot, placing the racket between his feet and when the ball came the ball was shot between his feet and did the strike which he scored to finish the game and give a win to himself and do an excellent step closer to Cenial Masters.

Plott Johnson- As you can see, it was a rough day for Jacaelter, with all 4 of their players losing.

Clicke Ploy- Indeed it was Plott, Jachaelter really needs to start stepping up its game, or players will start stepping all over them.

Mr Master Larry, who aims to be in the top 100 by the end of the tournament, has beaten his opponent Mario Rossi in straight sets. The exact scores was 6-4, 6-3. Master Larry played very well today. This is his first ever match over broad and he is on a high. (Not drugs, he would get kicked out the tournament if that is so) Everybody was noticing the extensive use of the backhand which, he says, is his favourite shot. A player who is playing against him has to be very good at returning a shot like that. Even though it is a backhand shot in the middle of a long rally, the speed of the shot would still reach 90-110 miles per hour. This time round Master Larry's biggest opponent will be Estope's Zack White as he entered The Cenial Masters with a bang. He won the first set 7-5 but he won the second set by a landslide, it went in to tie brake of 6-6. Eventually Zack showed what his brother taught him and won the tie brake. That will be a very good match today or tomorrow. Comiserations to Megan form Super-Llamaland and Mario Rossi. Zack and Master are drawing on the league table for Group 1.

There is nothing to say for this group. George Willis, who is in last place, was beaten today by Deanne Smith of the lovely country of Electrum. When it comes to winning Deanne knows what she is doing. It is quite easy for Deanne because she is already a professional player. Like others, Electrum's Deanne took part in the Electrum Vs Britonisea cup and Deanne was quite a good player. We predict that she will be first heading out of the qualifying stages. Though we think that George Willis will have the strength to beat his next opponents, Brandon Rodden and Taylor Hetner. There match was quite boring today. The score was 6-4 6-4 to Taylor. Taylor could go to the next round of the group stages but he needs to give way for George Willis. In the group tally, Deanne is third while George is trailing in 3rd. Which is last!

3 Danny Podolski 1 0 1 0 2 1

Lucky Haters was lucky this time round. The girl from Britonisea stunned the spectators when she beat some man, 6-4, 6-3. In a press conference later on in the court she says "He was a hard player. Even though I thrashed him and he was an easy player, he was hard. Do you get me? Am I right or am i wrong? " She kept on babbling on until she realised the other people have come on the court to practise the next match. Which was Graham Royce V Danny Podolski. It was the exact same as Lucky's match. Maybe lucky could me coincidence!

3 Darcey Baslet 1 0 1 1 2 1
Keigo Redfoot 1 0 1 1 2 1

Darcey Baslet of Britonisea was one of the few people that was involved in a deciding match yesterday. She lost the first set quite painfully the score was 6 games to 2 to her opponent Luciano Ziccardino from The VKL. darcey came back for revenge in the second set as she beat her opponent 6-0. 6-0 is a big deal for her and that set was done in 10 minutes. The last set was a stab in the back for our Darcey. She was doing so well in the lst set. It was 2-0 in games. And Suddenly Luciano got the next five sets. It was absolutely sad. It was 5-2 to the oponent but Darcey has one more game left in here and she played that next game gracefully. It was 5-3. Then he won the next game, people cheered, game, set, match. And she is 3rd in the league of her group.

Good luck to everyone!

International Coverage

HICAÑA PUSHING BACK IN WAR

With 2,300 confirmed deaths already in the first days of the Gregoryisgodistani invasion, Hicañans are fighting back hard, taking their toll on the invading military and killing an admittedly small twenty-five soldiers, as reported by Gregoryisgodistan. However, the tattered remains of the statistics department and government in Hicaña are claiming figures from 8.5* to 1,600, with most estimates from three to five hundred as the navy and army mobilize.

*Estimated by the Margaret and Nut-Loving Quasi-Paradystopi Worshippers That Are Atheist, From Dubai, And Would Like Nuts if They Weren't So Nutty Group's Quinquansilexical Formula, which takes the number of letters in their favorite formula (Quinquansilexical, 17 letters) and divides by the number of "J"s in "Koala", which was reported as two, plus or minus (-3)(e^pi*i).

While Gregoryisgodistan has taken the entire northwest, the northeast remains disputed as soldiers have massed along the Hettrera River, shooting at Gregoryisgodistan but still being outnumbered. Civilians in occupied cities have taken to rampaging the streets, throwing whatever they can get their hands on and demolishing buildings for rubble to throw. However, many were taken prisoner. Many have fled the country, running to the still relatively safe (although it's worse than Port Bartholomew during the Miklandian Secession) islands to the south and east.

Worse for the HIcañans, their president, Jody Ramires, was brutally slaughtered by soldiers who stabbed him and then getting burnt with a flamethrower for good measure. One of the murderers was killed, while the other stabbed both guards and ran.

It appears that Hicaña may fall soon, and with its nearby states having no part in helping to defend them, it appears that something bad may happen to their government, which is already in collapse.

INVASION OF GREGORYISGODISTAN KILLS 200

Hicañan bombers have struck down 198 in aerial attacks, the latest attack in Ward Six. Dubbed the "Fuhegela", slang for "Fire Strike" in Simplified Hicañan, the attacks are doing damage on Gregoryisgodistan. While only 198 have died so far, the bombings are expected to intensify despite Gregoryisgodistan's return fire at the planes, which has not been without damage.

General Nikolas Agudier stated that Hicaña had no plans to further intensify the attack into Gregoryisgodistan until after they successfully defended their home territory.

CONTROVERSIAL HICAÑAN DRAFT STRENGTHENS ARMY SHORT-TERM BUT NOT LONG-TERM, ECONOMISTS SAY

The Hicañan draft began this Tuesday, with five thousand young men already drafted into service to fight Gregoryisgodistan at home and abroad. While most, according to Agudier's promise, are being trained to defend their homeland, which many were already doing in an unorganized fashion, a select few have reportedly been chosen to join the Fuhegla.

"The young patriotic men are already defending themselves," Agudier stated, "but with more order, they could do far more damage. We must bring this order to them."

However, commentator George O'De-Gungell said that the draft would only work short-term.

"You get some bad military planning and an entire generation is screwed up. And again, how will a war-torn Hicaña deal with these veterans if they can't solve domestic issues? This is just a future crisis waiting to happen."

ADAM WATSON APPOINTED TO PRESIDENT AFTER RAMIRES' DEATH

Well-known politician Adam Watson, member of the cabinet of three presidents, including late president Jody Ramires' cabinet, and leader of the Hicañan Party, has been appointed to president of Hicaña.

Watson, fifty-three, lives in Ansillia and is considered fiscally conservative and authoritarian. His first move was to continue and intensify the military draft while ordering increased defense.

"Our safety is the first priority before an invasion of Gregoryisgodistan," Watson stated. The military, as expected, was upset about the whole matter of civilians in power during wartime, and it remains to be seen how Watson's term will play out.

DEFUSED: GREGORYISGODISTAN EXITS DISPUTED REGIONS

Gregoryisgodistan has agreed to move out of disputed territory such as Miklandia, Nacañera, and Hasillía, reports say.

The three governments asked Gregoryisgodistan, who had been killing what Hicaña said was its territory but really belonged to the rebels, to stop and invade purely-Hicañan territory politically, and Gregoryisgodistan obliged.

They also pulled out of Port Bartholomew, which was half-Miklandian. Miklandia has closed down the city border as a precaution, however.

Nikita's momentum proved in the first set as he was running untired in every shot of John and he won the set, taking 6 games and losing 3, then the second set was a bit more tiring for Nikita but he still managed to win and win the game, but he still needs work. President Watson, Lord Almighty Gregory Declare Truce

President Adam Watson agreed to Lord Almighty Gregory's offer to end the short-lived but brutal war today between Hicaña and Gregoryisgodistan.

Watson controversially ordered the evacuation of all of Hicaña as Gregoryisgodistan's soldiers overran Hicaña. The over-two million of Hicaña fled quickly in boats, leaving the Gregoryisgodistani to wonder what the heck was going on. They quickly found out, as Watson ordered the withdrawal of all Hicañan bombers, payloads still entact. Gregoryisgodistan's land troops desperately radioed for help, but the entire explosive payload of Hicaña's Air Force was detonated on impact, killing a hundred thousand soldiers and destroying five hundred years of culture.

In the land invasion of Hicaña, an estimated seventy-five thousand civilians, as well as about five thousand armed forces, perished, as well as about five hundred Gregoryisgodistani soldiers. Around 750 Gregoryisgodistani civilians and 200 Hicañan pilots died in the bombing of Gregoryisgodistan, and roughly 101,000 soldiers died in the final bombing of Hicaña, as well as fifty citizens of neighboring countries.

With the two nations so badly damaged and the Hicañan government in exile, Lord Almighty Gregory extended an offer of truce to Hicaña's Watson: both sides would agree to cease military action. Watson agreed sixteen minutes after receiving the letter.

Meanwhile, the Federal Republic of Hicaña officially dissolved. The fate of its leaders is unknown as the fleet of ships exits to other nations, Hicaña itself transformed into a smoking wasteland.

The Adventure of Jeremy Lasturias and the Time Machine

Jeremy Lasturias was a simple man. A simple man who liked simple things.

Jeremy started every mornings with a cup of herbal tea, and a new edition of the Basil Times, opened to the crossword section. He'd try to guess a few unsuccessfully, scribble some random letters, and head off for his morning fitness routines. In the afternoons, he'd practice his tennis game and maybe entertain the kids a bit, if they were home from school. He'd kiss his wife on the cheek and thank God that he had such a wonderful and fortunate life.

But Jeremy Lasturias had a deep, dark, secret.

He was winning his tennis matches with the help of a time machine by sending himself back in time over and over again to create multiple Jeremy's who would secretly sub in for him each changeover!!!

It happened just like this on the day Jeremy played his first match in the Cenial Masters. After promptly losing the first game, he shouted "BATHROOM BREAK BABY!" to a disgruntled ref and sprinted to the facilities. "To the time machine!" he cried out to himself. He opened the bathroom to see twenty other Jeremy's sitting around, playing cards or smoking cigarettes. "Hey," one of them said, pointing to a Jeremy sitting on the counter "It's your turn, bro." The original Jeremy ignored them, he had a job to do. He opened a stall door and sat down on a glistening toilet which was more than it appeared. "Time machine: ACTIVATE!" he cried, flushing the toilet. A magical time vortex spun Jeremy around and suddenly he was back ten minutes ago, before the match had even begun.

Their operation had worked flawlessly for years now. Jeremy wasn't nearly good enough at tennis to compete on fair terms with other players at a tournament level, but with constant substitutes of himself coming in every two games he was able to simply outlast his opponents. They had almost been discovered a few times, once, some dude had walked into the restroom and seen all the Jeremy's waiting for their turn. Luckily, they had managed to chase him down, kill him, and use the time machine to hide all evidence by sending his body back 300 million years to the Mesozoic. All in all, Jeremy Lasturias had it worked out.

Until the day Jeremy played Lucky Hater in the Cenial Masters.

The game itself went fine. Jeremy was outclassed technically but once again, his "superior fitness" allowed him to seize the day. But later, after the tournament's end when he returned home, he found a surprise waiting for him. It was another Jeremy.

"How did you get here?" Jeremy asked the other Jeremy. "Didn't you go back in time already?" The way time travel worked, the Jeremy's in theory would all cancel each other out at the end of the day.

"I am not Jeremy," the identical Jeremy said. "I am a clone created by overuse of the time travel machine. I was created, you see, on the fateful day you defeated Lucky Haters in the Cenial Masters. I have been waiting until now for my chance! I am not Jeremy Lasturias. I am... JOOREMY GASTURIAS! But no one knows this, of course. I have come to kill you and take your place. Muahahaha. Any last words?" He pulled out a revolver from somewhere.

"What the - oh, no!" Jeremy knew he had to think quickly. His life was on the line! "Wait a second." he said. "I remember watching Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. They totally went back in time after the movie to help themselves out in the present. Why don't I do that?" Before he had even finished the sentence, five Jeremy's stepped into the room, all holding guns.

"Drop the gun, Jooremy," they said in unison.

But before anything can happen, ten Jooremy's stepped into the room, all with machine guns!

"I can do the same thing, fool!" Jooremy cried. But as he said it, a SWAT team of Jeremy's crashed in through the window. But they were no match for the sniper squad of Jooremy's on the roof of the building opposite! Luckily, an expert team of Jeremy Lasturias computer hackers had accessed the hotel mainframe and turned off all the lights, so the snipers couldn't see, but a group of Jooremy torchholders had flooded the building, and...

The Jeremy-Jooremy conflict would eventually spread back to the Free Swiss States homeland. In the resulting civil war, approximately 37 million would be killed in battle with an uncountable number of civilian casualties. The cities of Basil, Lucerne, and Oroga would be completely obliterated off the face of the Earth, with both sides going nuclear. Cultural scars would remain for decades, setting Jer communities off against Joor communities long after the war had ended. Widespread poverty would last for centuries as a result of the devastation. The FSS would never be the same.

But that was all far in the future. For now, Jeremy Lasturias sipped a glass of red wine as he reclined on his hotel bed, relishing his victory. He loved tennis and he loved winning. There was an elegance about it, he thought to himself. A simple elegance. After all, he was a simple man.

Mario Rossi (COB) 3 4
Zack White (EST) 6 6

Zach White dominated his opponent Mario Rossi in two quick sets to take the top spot in Group 1. White looked really good out there today and seems to have adjusted well to the higher level of competition. While of course this is only the qualifying rounds and not the top talent in the world, the players here are still very well trained. Many were concerned that Estope would not be able to keep up talent wise with many of these nations because of the recent down year Estope has had so far in tennis. Zack White has responded to those critics by winning his first two matches in straight sets. The sixteen year old has shown the most promise and consistency of any of Estope's latest crop of up-and-comers. The maturity he has displayed out on the court is really unheard of for such a young player. His physicality and style of play is very similar to Estope's most famous star, Brett Roley. It is safe to say that the future of Estope tennis has great hope as long as Zack White is playing like this. Of course, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, White still has his toughest two test ahead of him in Elia Xal and Master Larry. Both will provide a tougher challenge for the young player, especially Xal. The most important match will be the one against Larry. Regardless of the outcome of the match with Xal, if White can beat Larry he will be assured a spot in the main draw.

Lewis Diver (DRV) 7 0 7
John Wilmer (EST) 5 6 5

After winning his opening match, Wilmer found a way to lose his next one against Lewis Diver. Despite outplaying Diver in most statistically categories, Wilmer still could not pull out the win. He lost the first set very narrowly after surrendering a break late in the set. He responded surprisingly, winning the second set 6-0. At that point many thought that now that he had regained his focus he would emerge the victor. However the third set went much like the first. It was tight all the way throughout and in the end Diver just had more in him to make it count when it mattered the most. This is a crushing defeat for Wilmer who was hoping to grab in second win in as many days and plant himself atop the group standing. Alas now Diver is in the driver's seat and Wilmer will have a lot of work to do in order to grab one of the two spots advancing. He is still in second place with two matches left to play but he has yet to face the toughest test yet, Piper Antoine of Super Llamaland. Even though she was shockingly upset today by James Shanson, she is still the player to beat in this group. There is still plenty of tennis to be played and it will be interesting to see how things shake out in Group 2.

Mario Angrisano (FSS) 4 2
Jack Lewis (EST) 6 6

Jack Lewis shows great heart, winning his second match in straight sets. After losing his first match to Neia Dovan, Lewis appeared not to be disheartened, but instead rejuvenated. Facing a very tough Mario Angrisano of Free Swiss States, Lewis was able to control the tempo of the match and makes shots when he needed to. Angrisano played a great match but in the end Lewis just had the edge over him. It was a great comeback after a deflating opening round defeat. Lewis still has high hopes for this tournament as do many of the experts back at home. He now has two matches left to play, the most important one being against Malcolm Press. Press is one of the seeded players in the qualifying rounds and has a little more experience on this stage than does Lewis. That will be the critical match to see if Lewis has what it takes to advance. He will also have to face Ibrahim Ikajovich who, although is bottom of the group right now, took Press to two tiebreakers before conceding the loss. That could easily be a trap match if Lewis loses his focus, which after watching this match seems unlikely. Lewis currently sits atop the group but it is very tight all around. This group really is still wide open for anyone one to take.

Marc Burns (DRV) 7 6
Jonathan Murray (EST) 6 4

After surprising many people by winning his opening match, Jonathan Murray showed good effort but ultimately fell short to Marc Burns. This loss was not really all that surprising as Burns is the favorite to win this group and Murray did play pretty well against, not good enough to win or even force three sets but nevertheless did better than expectations. Currently Murray is tied for the top of the group despite losing today but with two matches left will probably need to win both of them in order to advance. Unfortunately for Murray he is not used to this level of talent and will probably be worn out in the upcoming matches and not be able to play his best. He has had a good showing here in Ceni and hopefully he has garnered a lot of experience for the future. Murray has more potential than many realize. Most experts discount him merely because he took the unusual college route to get here. And while he didn't play the top notch talent, he still went undefeated during his career at St. Thomas Aquinas University which has to count for something. He has surprised many so far and hopes to continue to defy expectations in the next couple of matches and the rest of his career.

Louis Hurst (EST) 6 6
Ellela Thotan (CEN) 2 4

Louis Hurst also rebound well following his opening round defeat to Snake Smithers. Hurst is often overlooked by the Estope media but he has shown that he is not going to go out without a fight. Today he played exceptionally well against Ellela Thotan of the host country of Ceni. This was an impressive win all around, both because of the level of competition and because of his level of play. He also finds himself atop his group with two more matches for him yet to play. Most people overlooked Hurst as possibly being able to advance but not anymore. For him it will be about maintaining the momentum he has suddenly found.

Ham Case (JAC) 6 6
Sam White (EST) 3 2

Sam White continues to face plant here at the Cenial Masters. Unlike his twin brother Zack, Sam White has had a tough time starting his professional career. This latest debacle against Ham Case goes to show that maybe Sam just isn't ready to enter the international stage. It is no secret that he does not have the talent of either of his brothers, Jared or Zack, but he still is a quite good tennis player. White is all but eliminated from any chance of qualifying but he needs to use this last two matches as an opportunity to gain some experience and restore some of his confidence. The main problem he seems to be having is more of a mental problem than a physical. White is very well trained but he has a lot of pressure put on him, mostly by himself but also by his family and the media. He is playing very tight out there and is making a lot of mistakes from trying to do too much. He needs to just relax and focus on just playing his game and enjoying the game.

Electrum Tennis Magazine - Qualification Part 1 - Cenial Masters

Group Preview

The Electrum Slam which finished a few weeks ago was a massive success for Electrum in the international stage. Electrum has shown that they are capable of hosting large-scale tennis events, and will be looking forward to hosting the Hamilton International in the hot desert clay courts of Hamilton, and of course, next year's Electrum Slam. To tide you over until then, the next scheduled tournament will be the Cenial Masters, after it was moved up ahead in the schedule due to last minute changes in the Britannual Open.

Shockingly, this will be the first tournament where Sonya Gredello will no longer be the number one Electrum player in the tournament, with her poor performance in the Electrum Slam seeing her nab less points than her compatriot, Greg Meares who has managed to steal that top spot as well as gain automatic entry into the tournament. The Electrum Lawn Tennis Association is silently hoping for the day where more than two Electrumites gain automatic entry into the smaller tournaments, but this will have to do.

Greg Meares has found himself playing a compulsory first round against the runner up of Group 2. He finds himself in the same section as the second seed, and runner up in the last Electrum Slam, Al Montis de Surmar of Anditia. They have a potential matchup in Round 4.

In terms of the other qualifiers, there are six other entries -- five of whom are seeded, and Deanne Smith being the only one being unseeded in the competition. This means that Electrum is in with a good chance to bag lots of qualification spots, with the top two spots advancing to the main draw. Third seed Maya Cassington finds herself in Group 8, playing against journeyman Lanang Prabawa of Rarungan and Ceni's up-and-coming Lonus Varalin.

In group 9, eighth seed Samuel Gates is not expected to face tough competition, meanwhile, seventh seed Malcolm Press has a harder draw, drawing familiar names such as Ceni's Neia Dovan and Free Swiss State's Mario Angrisano. In group 12, Mia Cassington finds herself in yet another easy group with the exception of Ellela Thotan of Ceni. Finally, Electrum's second qualification seed, Sonya Gredello will find herself in an unfamiliar situation, playing for a place in the main draw. She also faces an easy draw.

Day 1 Review

Deanne Smith was the only one on court today, being the only unseeded Electrumite player. She had an easy win over the Great British Kingdom's George Willis, winning the first set 7-6 in a tough tiebreaker, saving some set points in the process and then storming home with a break to nab the last set 3-6, a step closer to qualification.

Day 2 Review

Deanne Smith continues her surprise run through the tournament with yet another convincing win, this time over Brandon Robben in straight sets. This day also marked the first day of play for the other seeded players of Electrum, with the five other non-qualifiers having a crack at it today. As predicted previously, Maya Cassington had a hard time getting past journeyman Lanang Prabawa of Rarungan, a veteran of the tour, being downed in the third set after drawing level with her blistering style of play -- however, it was her unforced errors which cost her in the end, with the crucial break points lost on elementary shots.

Samuel Gates had a close shave against Colonel Selav Tukerawan, winning in two sets, 6-4 and 7-6. In an incredibly close match, Selav Tukerawan punched above his weight, but in the end, it was Samuel Gates' experience which got him over the line, netting a crucial break in the first, and staying steely during the second set tiebreaker. Malcolm Press also had another extremely close match, this time against Ibrahim Ikajovich, 7-6 7-6. Those two tiebreaks were one of the closest this magazine has ever seen, with the second set tiebreak stretching to 14-12. Once again, experience prevailed here with Malcolm Press getting through.

In Group 12, Mia Cassington, the second half of the Cassington twins faced off against Snake Smithers, eventually defeating him in three. The match was a topsy-turvy match with Cassington winning the first 6-1, before slipping to 5-7 with a last break reprieve making itself available to Smithers before Cassington rallied back to a 6-3 victory in the third for the match. We were confused with his name though, with Snake Smithers reminding us about two characters from a popular Electrumite show called "The Simpsons." We wonder where Snake's parents got inspiration for that name, but we hope it's from this show -- because it's bloody awesome!

Finally, in a shock loss, Darcey Baslet of the Grand British Kingdom (formerly known as Britonisea) defeated Sonya Gredello in another topsy-turvy match. Sonya Gredello seemed to struggle and could not answer the various challenges that Baslet presented, including a ripper crosscourt and backhand supremacy. Gredello's strategy of serve and volley didn't work as well, with Baslet just grinding on the baseline, and capitalising on any opportunity which arose. Gredello slowly exhausted after all of those returns, and finished poorly. The match went 0-6, 7-5, 1-6. Gredello will need to look to her coach, Mark Stephens to iron out these exhaustion problems -- lest she want to concede more losses to the other players. Luckily, in Group 16, there are three players sitting on 1-1, Aaron Murphy with just one win, and Sonya Gredello with just one loss. Should things go the right way, she should still be able to qualify, and we don't expect anything less of that. --ETMag

The Results

The Cenial Masters have been begins for two days now and result from single qualification round were here.

On day 1, 3 out of 5 Rarungan qualifiers were competing. The first were Apulia Sadaq that met John Wilmer from Estope. Although she seems very confidence at first, but Sadaq performance continue to decline during the match. She able to forced tie-break in the first game although she eventually lost. In the second round Sadaq makes a numbers of unroced errors that make her left behind. She lost the match at the end after lost 2-6 in the second set.

In Group 8, Lanang Prabawa played against newcomer Avery Holtzer from Free Swiss States. It was a hard match for Prabawa and Holtzer didn't make it any easier. Prabawa lost in 2 sets by 4-6 and 4-6. The third match for Rarungan in the first day was between Putra Darmawan and Colonel Selav Tukerwan. Darmawan was easily beaten in the first set by 3-6. He rise up in the second set and forced a tie-break. But Darmawan effort was useless. He lost to Tukerawan eventually.

After a bad result in day 1, Rarungan players gets mixed results in the second day. Rarungan top newcomer, Mira Gandamayu find its way to beaten up Zoran Jovanovich in straight set to wing the match. 6-4 and 6-3 for Gandamayu. While in Group 4, Linda Astuti have to struggle hard when she played against Rafael Moore. Moore takes the first set by 6-4 but Astuti able to reverse the result in the second set. But Astuti effort got stunned in the third set. Moore able to break almost all of Astuti shot and forced her to give up the set.

On his second match, Lanang Prabawa met Maya Cassington from Electrum. It was a hard match for Prabawa and also with a shocking result. Prabawa begins the match with great confidence and outplayed Cassington. But on the second set he makes a lot of unforced errors that lead to his easy lost. Prabawa try to make redemption in the third set and difficult Cassington. Cassington makes numerous unforced errors that makes Prabawa win the set and also the match. The last match was between Putra Darmawan and Gyylennianothantroppee Po Jr. Darmawan easily win the first set where Po didn't give much effort to played against him. Po confidence rise in the second set. He succeed to difficult Darmawan and forced tie-break. But Darmawan played better and win the tie-break to take the set.

On the third day anything could happen likes previous days when shocking result could happens.

Montis de Surmar readies himself for another Tourney
Janna Valdis -- Anditon Free Press

It happens to be the high holidays in Anditia, a time of relaxation and general nothingness for most Anditons. Due to this, the Free Press's coverage of the Cenial Masters Tier 1 ATP tournament may be spotty at times. As with most northern climes, summers in Anditia are filled with relaxation at many of the countries' plentiful lakes and forested areas with horrendous traffic caused by the general push to fix the infrastructure that is wrecked by the harsh winters - think of massive road construction and overhauls. This summer is like any other with most Anditons fleeing the congested city centers to their cabins and other resorts "inland" in the idyllic mountains of Tenebra provence.

"Sure, I'd love to take a bit of time off to go fishing and boating... but unfortunately Tennis is a summer sport that requires summertime competition. So I'm heading off to Ceni for the Cenial Masters." Al Montis de Surmar commented from his fishing boat on Lake Frattic - a beautiful lake on the northern edge of Tenebra - a border which it shares with the slightly more civilized Järskog. "Oscar [Varscara], Timmy [D'Aub] and I will be flying out fairly soon to catch up with the tournament, but we've got a day yet, so I'm not too worried."

With two of Anditia's tennis players ranked in the top 10 (Montis de Surmar at #2, Varscara at #7), the chances of a solid performance are fairly high. Tim D'Aub has shown promise in some of his tournaments but is always a bit shaky when it comes to international play. We will try to do our best to keep the coverage constant during this relaxing time.

Good luck to all Anditon Competitors!

Neil Murphy (COB) 2 6 2
Nikita Aleksov (ETA) 6 4 6

Nikita Aleksov started having an advantage at almost everything, well according to the Estenian Tennis Statistics board and International Tennis Statistics Board. But as of the stamina, Neil had the advantage because he had a day off in the last match. Nikita started well taking 2 games in a row but then Neil started playing well and made the games 2-1, but then Nikita took 3 points in a row making the score 5-1 but then Neil took a point but still Nikita played well in an exciting game, winning with a good smash. Then the next set was good but he lost it, then in the 3rd set he won with the exact same difficulty, small one. Nikita won the game and he's still at first place.

Filipp Maksimov (ETA) 2 7 7
Jonathan Iesous (FSS) 6 6 5

Well, Iesous had the advantage at everything but not energy, Iesous started well against Filipp, the Estenian tennist and talented star, currently unbeaten. With 2-6, second set was a very exciting one, it was game, after game, after game and after game, until Iesous lost the last 2 games in a row, so went with the 3rd set, which was a far lesser exciting but still exciting. Filipp also remains first on group.

Márcio Araullo was heading to the fridge for some congratulatory jello shots when he heard a crash from the front entrance. He rushed over to see what had happened as fast as he could! The door had been kicked in, and standing inside his house were three men with black robes, holding swords.

"Márcio Araullo," one of them said. "We have been sent to kill you for winning your match today. Our sponsor had bet a lot of money on you to lose every match. Now he is angry."

"Wait what?!" exclaimed Márcio. "Why would he bet money on that? It was pretty likely that I would win at least one match. I'm not that bad."

"Man, I dunno," the assassin said, shrugging. "Someone was probably too lazy to actually RP a decent plotline or something. Now, prepare to die!" He charged Márcio.

But little did the assassin know that Márcio had been trained by the Shaolin monks in the long lost forgotten martial art of Kikyer-Az. Márcio ducked the man's sword blow and reached forward with his arm, using a special technique that went straight through bone! His arm tunneled through the assassin's robe and through his body! Márcio grabbed and pulled out the man's still beating heart, and then took a bite out of it for good measure.

"What the hell," the assassin gasped, before falling to the ground. "OP! Please nerf." The assassin died.

Márcio motioned towards the other two men. "Come and get some," he tried to say, but his mouth was full of the half-chewed assassin's heart, so it sounded more like "mnuh muh mneh muh." The two remaining men looked at each other and nodded. They both pulled out machine guns from somewhere in their robes and opened fire.

But luckily Márcio had also been trained in the other long lost forgotten art of Knot Pos Ibul. With superhuman speed he opened his mouth and, surprise surprise, HE ATE ALL THE BULLETS! He smacked his lips and exclaimed, "Mm, tasty, got anymore?" Well, actually his mouth was full of half-chewed bullets, so it sounded more like, "MMM, mnaymee, mna mnamama?" Then, before they could answer, he leaped forward and smashed their heads together. He did it so quickly and so powerfully that their heads exploded like watermelons.

Márcio stared at the three corpses which were pooling blood on his front carpet. He considered what he should do for a second.

"Eh." he finally said. He walked back to the kitchen. He was really looking forward to those jello shots.
