So I think it could happen, I hope it doesn't. What about any of you? Will the Republicans oust the President or win their law suit? Should Obama be impeached? Are the House Republicans right or wrong? Does this really relate to Obama's policies or is it because they're still bitter of 2012? 6 years later could this even be race related?

It's not a horrible strategy, honestly...provided you can stand the smell.
Which only floats in the right wing echo chamber, which would automatically ignore that Clinton was not actually convicted (and that were Obama to be impeached he would likely not be convicted either).
Democrats could do a political jujitsu and exclaim that Republicans do not respect lawfully elected Democratic presidents and will always try to impeach them regardless of any actual high crimes and misdemeanors not being committed.

it sure could happen.
it would make the republicans look like partisan hacks and lose them extra seats in the house. that's why the speaker is trying to keep the urge tamped down.

The law suit which has no standing is likely an attempt to appease that group. Or at least delay them until after the midterms.

Trust me, the reason the impeachment movements never get off the ground outside Nixon and that is because Nixon both committed a deliberate conspiracy to cover up a burglary and had become unpopular within his own party to the point he could be impeached. The bolded is needed to get impeachment proceedings to make it through the Senate.

Nixon wasn't impeached. He was very nearly impeached, but resigned first. Clinton was impeached, but acquitted in the Senate. What treason, bribery or other high crime or misdemeanour did all those other presidents commit?

Well, John Kennedy had sex with women he wasn't married to and was mean to southern Democrats. Lyndon Johnson held one of his dogs up by the ears and was mean to southern Democrats and passed a lot of unnecessary "civil rights" laws (and after that there were no southern Democrats anymore). Dick Nixon was ... Dick Nixon. Everyone liked Gerry Ford, so we can skip him. Jimmy Carter was scared by a rabbit, that has to be impeachable. Ronald Reagan used his wife's astrologer for advice. George HW Bush didn't finish off Saddam. Bill Clinton was ... Bill Clinton. George W Bush was ... George W Bush. Easy, isn't it?

You folks sure do elect some awful scoundrels. Rabbis and astrologers and Saddam, oh my.
