Season II, Part 2
No time to sit about and hang around, time to look at how things finished up...
Spotlight on...
Matchday Seventeen, at The Deathbowl, Gunnmarket, The Fallenmark Islands
Sure, he got sent off in the second half, but that goal was vital after a brace for Vojta Erdahl just put the visitors past the two-nil scoreline set by Damkjaer and Uijanov in the first half. The three points are vital for the Blackhearts, and what's more, they'll gain vital confidence from this result.
Spotlight on...
Matchday Twenty-Three, at Raven Street, Scheveningen, Cairnskillen
Young teenage goalkeeper Martijn Bershadensky was barely tested in the end, as Kieslen showed everybody just why they're bottom of the league with a toothless display of attacking football. At the other end, captain Andrej Strindberg rose highest from a corner to open the scoring, but the day belonged to the excellent hat trick from Arnmundur Grgić to break his scoring duck in emphatic fashion. Something of a watershed match in terms of the relegation fight.
Spotlight on...
Matchday Thirty, at Stöð Nálgun, Náhvarðvíkur, Bleak Rock
In the end, Invicta do win, and the news filtering through to Stöð Nálgun is that Hrafninn's lead over Kuuningen means that Náhvarðvíkur need to win if they want UICA football. So, they go on a rampage. PVTCo took the lead twice in an attempt to ward off relegation, but goals from Arnmundur Finnbjörnsson and Finnur Friðfinnursson powered them past the visitors and ensured a nervous wait by the radios for the visiting fans. When they heard of Kieslen Bridge's equaliser away at Auchtenmill, they celebrated even louder than the home fans. Invicta's win looked to have handed things to Esprit, but, well...
So, the final tables then...
Berafjordinn endure a defeat on the last day of the season for a second year running, but this time they still manage to remain in top spot thanks to the inexplicable collapse of Marylebone Esprit, who let K85 Járn Virkaroy ceom from two goals down to rescue a draw and deny the Fallenmark side what would have been a remarkable title win for a team from the Commonwealth in just the MVP's second season. Hrafninn come third, equal on points with Náhvarðvíkur, who just about edged out Marylebone Invicta in fourth. At the bottom, Auchtenmill and PVTCo have to be separated after they finish with the same points tally, but the writing was on the wall for an always struggling Kuuningen side and a very disappointing Kieslen Bridge.

In Auxiliary A it is Leiknir Reykjanesur who romp home convincingly in the end, getting themselves an instant promotion back to the MVP in the process. Eastmark Quarrymen and Fortuna Haaksfalken join them in going up, with Aylesness Saracens just unable to boost the numbers of Cairn clubs in the top flight. An SBCC berth is their consolation. At the bottom it is curtains for Marylebone-Albrecht after just one season in the Auxiliary A, with Port Eigg and FK Hámarvik also going down with them.

In Auxiliary B, the seaside town of Galveston-on-Sea will be celebrating tonight as their side swept the league in convincing style. Neuenhaus Valhallan and Norðurmýrar 87 are the teams joining them in going up, both of whom finished well clear of Castle NHK in fourth. Valhallans have the dubious honour of propping up the entire league this year, with a pitiful fifteen points.

And now let's take a look at how things worked out in the Minor Valhallan Trophy...
And congratulations to Hreindýrsal Stríðsmaður! Marylebone Esprit went so close to emulating the successes of Invicta from last season, but after needing penalties to overcome Kuuningen Town in the semi-finals they just ran out of steam in the final and it is the Blockhead side that lifts the trophy and goes forward to the Cygnus Cup as a result.
