It is an honour to be chosen as a Co-op along with my good friend Jaslandia.... however... seeing the current state of the RP... I can say that there's probably only like 7 active players.... at best... And also... I hope Jaslandia and everywhere here is prepared if I have to... leave... Hopefully I don't, ... but we should prepare for the worse... also... We install a new law... Seeing as how with all the characters that go inactive after a few posts and deliberately ruin the storyline.... What if they the active players are allowed to use the inactive characters as side characters to keep the story going? So even if there's only 1 person left in this rp, at least the story can keep going on.

Personality: A deeply spiritual man, Nicholas is contemplative and thoughtful, in addition to being ceaselessly curious. Nicholas can also be melancholic. However, when Nicholas is around friends, he can 'turn off' his melancholy, and generally act like a regular, fun-loving teen. Nicholas also strives for justice and equality. Nicholas tends to be shy, quiet, and reserved when meeting new people.

Brief History: It was a dark night at Yekaterinburg. The former Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II, and his family were awakened by the family's doctor. "Get dressed and come downstairs," the doctor said. "The Soviets want to relocate you due to the impending chaos in the city." The former royals dutifully complied and went to the bottom floor, gathering together. After a few minutes of waiting in the cellar room, the local Soviet commandant, Yakov Yurovsky, arrived and read out an order: "Nikolai Alexandrovich, in view of the fact that your relatives are continuing their attack on Soviet Russia, the Ural Executive Committee has decided to execute you..."
All Nicholas could say in response was "What? What?" The commandant, growing impatient, read the order again, after which the troops opened fire. Nicholas was hit by several bullets, and came crashing down to the floor, dying instantly.

However, that was not the end of Nicholas II of Russia. He suddenly awoke in a dorm room, having become decades younger. The new Nicholas knew little of himself, but was determined to find the truth.

Headcanons: Nicholas is now a Buddhist.
Due to his philosophical nature, he frequently speaks in parables, riddles, and allegories.
Nicholas has erratic memories of his past, but can regain some memories though mediation.
Nicholas is now a pacifist and a vegetarian.

Other Notes: If any of you are curious, the Model Railroading Club membership is an ironic reference to the fact that Russia's relative lack of railroad infrastructure contributed to Russia's defeat in World War I.

General Introduction
The Machiavelli Academy of Higher Excellence (MAHE) is a boarding school, whose students range from 14 to 20 years old. But, unlike your usual boarding school, its staff are historical figures. And not only them: The students too, are all historical persons, who for unknown reasons became younger, and sometimes even changed their gender.

The 1st of January 2000 was a special date. When the day came, earth continued its rounds, humans continued breathing, and everything was as it had been before. Or was it?
On exactly that day, multiple unusual occurrences have been reported from the tombs of a couple of historical figures. But it rapidly lost attention, as nothing seemed to have happened. Though silent to most of humanity, a few historical figures had returned to life. Amongst them, Machiavelli.

Seeing that Florence was no more, and deciding that the modern republic was not something he wanted to involve in, he went for the US of America. While trying to understand why he had returned, he had heard that America was a land of new beginnings. And so, two years later, somewhere in New England, his new life began. He had managed to organize the establishment of the Machiavelli Academy of Higher Excellences. As teachers he managed to contact other great figures, who had risen from their deaths as he had.

Now, 2014, as with every year, new students have returned to life, and appeared in the Academy.
For students:
You wake up on a bunk-bed. You see you are in a room: Some of you may recognize things from it, some may not. At the other side of the room there are two desks, with each having books (some the same, some different) and school utensils. There also are two cabinets in the room. You may notice that placed on the desks, visible from where you are, are notes.
The note states that you have arrived at the Machiavelli Academy of Higher Excellence. It also mentions that if you'll be at the Gymnasium, the way to which is marked on the hall outside of your room, in two hours, a full explanation will be given by Headmaster Machiavelli.
For staff:
You are a staff member at the Machiavelli Academy of Higher Excellence. Some of you work here longer, with a few working here since Machiavelli founded the Academy, while some of you are new.
Regardless of to whether category you belong to, you are at the Staff Room, where Machiavelli is reintroducing all old and new staff.

OOC Introduction
Well, if you haven't guessed yet, this is MAHE, an rp for a school in which historical figures have, due to some currently unresearched physical issues in space-time, appeared at the academy just after/when they died.
As said, this is a reboot to a dead rp. We'll be rping those figures, both staff and students. In some cases, gender and age have changed (the latter one especially for the students).

  1. I am the OP-God of this thread. My words are divine commandments, though if you believe I am mistaken and/or you have a different opinion to my own, explain and it can be considered. But sometimes it may not be, this isn't a democracy.
  2. The Co-OP's are Prophets before me, so thou shall listen to their words as law as long as they don't conflict with my own.
  3. All the "regular" rules of NS apply as usual, here they are.
  4. Keep the OOC clean. ICly your character may have a normal or abnormal hate of greeks, persians, crusaders, royals,[insert anything else here], but OOCly we all keep it peaceful.
  5. New rules may or may not magically appear by the divine powers of OP if necessary.
  6. Fun! We like it, so have it.

  1. Only real leaders will be accepted.
  2. Your character(s) may or may not remember their lives, or parts of them.
  3. Gender may be changed from their real gender.
  4. Age will probably be changed (There will be no students older than 20 or younger than 14), though may be left as is, if it fits. (There are no age requirements for staff).
  5. The person must have died to arrive here. If the person currently lives, then you can let it die and arrive here, but no character can come here "alive".
  6. No more than three characters per NS nation. Those two characters may not be directly related to each other: (I do not mean by family, but rather context. No taking Hitler and Stalin; No taking Hitler and Rommel; No taking Washington and Franklin; You get the point, do you?
  7. It's up to you how your character acts, their personality may have changed through death.
  8. One week of not notified inactivity and your character slips on a banana and lands in the Hospital. From the Hospital anybody may revive the character and make them their own, changing them in the process if they want to.
  9. There's a school uniform. Boys wear a white button-up shirt, a scarlet blazer trimmed with gold, gray trousers, and black dress shoes. Girls wear a white button-up shirt, a scarlet blazer trimmed with gold, a plaid skirt, sporting the colors scarlet and gold, and black dress shoes, with leggings. Student officials are also permitted to wear a purple and gold version of the same uniform. Students are not required to wear uniforms after school days, on the weekends, or during holidays.
  10. Your character, unless it is one of the few teachers who came to life during the events described in the OP and/or Machiavelli's App, does not have any history between their death and them appearing at MAHE.

Appearance: Over the time of his death, Niccolo's features seem to have turned slightly younger than what died as, leaving him looking roughly as if he were 10, 15, year younger.

He is cynical, he may be cunning and deceptive. He may cross morals to reach his goals, or generally disregards common morality. But, the fact that he has returned to life has given him a slight doubt in his own ways, so he may or may not change.

Brief History: Niccolo had just finished taking the last rites, and now knew he would die soon. He closed his eyes, and took a last breath. He had known this moment would come, and he knew he had lived life for his goals. He had served the great republic, he had endured torture, he had been pardoned by the new prince of Florence. He had been ambassador to the pope, and he had been an author of his wisdom and experience. He had done all he could. And as his thoughts ended, so did his body's life, and his consciousness too.

Machiavelli first woke up in 2000. After a while of failed attempts to understand why he had returned to life, he headed for what he understood was the land of new beginnings. Being the person he was, he rapidly was granted visa, which later was extended to also allow him to manage his attempt at a new life: An academy in which he, with others, would teach people his work and knowledge, bringing them to excellence. In his search for appropriate staff he rapidly came to the conclusion that he would need great figures such as himself. As such he attempted to contact the figures which he had assumed had risen from their deaths at the same time as himself, eventually managing to bring them to New England, where his Academy was located. Once everything had been prepared, they had reached the topic of students. As methods of selecting students had been discussed, the first students appeared in the halls of the school. Since then, the school has been receiving its new students every year, and Machiavelli has been administrating the Academy.

Headcanons: He's mostly as he used to be historically. Has a slight, though noticeable, Italian accent, also speaks multiple languages fluently.

Other Notes: I may let Niccolo become a secondary character, mainly using him for things such as speeches, or meeting with the teachers here and there, while usually letting him "manage the Academy". Or I may continue using him the whole time, not only as a secondary character.

Appearance: Napoleon is of average height and build for his age. He has clear blue eyes and light brownish hair. When appropriate/required he will be wearing his school uniform. Otherwise he will usually be seen in one of his various french military uniforms, which seemed to have appeared in his closet when he arrived.

Personality: Tolerant of Religion/ethnicity/culture/nationality, except for the British, with whom he still retains his grudge. His tolerance also extends to sympathy for groups that were persecuted or oppressed during his life. Additionally, tolerant of opinions and ideas, he sometimes also adopts them if they help him.
Holds his goals higher than his morals, which he sometimes bends. In short, a charismatic and ambitious Napoleon, like the real one.

Brief History: He was in his second prison, and now he knew that it will also be his last. On the 5th of May, 1821, in the Longwood house on Saint Helena, guarded and observed by the British after they brought him there, Napoleon finally came to rest. As he breathed his last breath, he took a last look around. He turned towards Father Vignali, and spoke the words he knew would be his last,"France, army, head of the army, Joséphine".

Though instead of his consciousness fading into nothing, he found himself lying on a bed. He looked around and saw that it was a bunk bed, that somebody was lying under him. He saw desks and cabinets, two each, the desks stacked with books and each with a big central note.

Headcanons: Speaks with a slight french accent in most languages, though speaks french with a Corsican accent. Still the same (Military) genius. Remembers his life and death.

Personality: He's somewhat emotionless, but from what he usually acts around people, he likes to portray himself as the cool semi-bad-boy of the group, despite his newfound sensitive personality showing otherwise, and yet he still managed to retain just a very small piece of his previous traits. He doesn't seem to care about school and his grades, but not so much as he just doesn't give a damn outright, kind of a balance of things. ("I got a C? Great, as long as I'm passing, who cares?")The concept of a new life has changed his perceptions quite a bit. Back when he was a leader, he was as ruthless as he was hot-headed, now he's pretty much easygoing and has become philosophical in nature. So overall, he's pretty passive, but can become violently assertive just like everyone else.

Brief History: Those damned Hungarians, how could they put him in that position and leave just like that? What kind of allies would do that to him, the cruelest, most inhumane leader in Wallachian history? He barely has enough troops to siege a town and the Turks are bringing with them a metropolis' worth. Thinking back, it was perhaps not the wisest of things to have impaled all those merchants, women, and insubordinate soldiers along with burning that village that couldn't provide any shortly before the conflict started.

Needless to say, when the battle began, he clearly was going to die, despite having put up the best fight his army possibly could. The last thing he ever saw in this world was a battlefield flooded with blood and a massive amount of human corpses, almost all of them from his own army. The noise of all of the violence was beginning to fall silent. All of his senses were shutting down as he became increasingly sleepy. The last he remembers is someone from the opposing army shouting:

"I got him, I got him! Quick, cut off his head!"

And a large group of them had gathered around him, with their swords waving victoriously high in the air, as he closed his eyes for the last time.

Strangely, he woke up here, in the modern world, as it is apparently called. He looked around for scars and rags, blood and bruises, any indicator that he is still in battle, but found nothing.

That's when he realized that perhaps he was given a second chance at life, and he intends to make up for the lost time in his previous one somehow.

Headcanons: In addition to speaking English, he can also speak his native Romanian, and is able to read Latin (though he can barely speak it). Unlike Catherine, his memories before death are still fully intact, but how he got from there to here he has no idea. He's a relatively good poet and has a fondness for classical literature.

Other Notes: Because he was directly responsible for tens of thousands of deaths, the sight of blood and gore or any other kind of violence doesn't really surprise him like most people, though he'll still react to it, naturally.

Yes, I'm pretty sure all students will attend classes. The schedule of each student is still being worked out, but it would seem pretty pointless to have a boarding school where not all students attend school.
