Bringing people together since 1537
Choushino's is a family run chain of coffee houses and restaurants which bring homestyle Sharyta'a cuisine, family style dining, and piping hot Shartya'a coffee to your neighborhood. Operating both large, family friendly restaurants and traditional corner coffee shops, Choushino's aims to give you the distinct get-together you crave, not a one-size fits-all fast food joint.
Choushino's resolves to build familiar place for the special things in life. A friendly restaurant for a family. The coffee shop which always has a table for you and your friends. The cozy bar to slouch into after a long day of work. Whatever you need, Choushino's wants to be there. Internationally, Choushino's intends to bring the exotic cuisine and culture of the Erishad peninsula to each and every community. No matter how cold or distant, the froth of a Shartya'a coffee and a plate of manti are only a dinner away.
The Shartya'a Cafe by Charles Marie Lhuillier
Following the unification of the Shartya'a kingdoms in the late fifteenth century, powerful families often opened estates to the public to serve as restaurants and headquarters. The Choushino family in particular founded their family estate in Ashur in 1537, and it has remained a place for community gathering ever since. The importance of the quintessential Shartya'a coffee shop as a meeting place both for families and political groups continued into the eighteenth century and the rise of industry in the country.
The Choushino family's plantation became the source of many of the restaurant's foodstuffs and, in 1862, the Choushino family opened three other locations throughout the country both to assert presence and to popularize their specific preparation of coffee. Following the great success of the restaurant chain, Choushino's, as the company was finally registered, continued to spread throughout Spartianus to the present day. Finally, the company is taking to the international market.
Choushino's restaurants aim to retain traditional Shartya'a style
Choushino's has two basic store models. The first and most popular is the traditional corner coffee shop. The coffee shops are small storefronts which brew Shartya'a style coffee fresh for each and every customer with a complimentary chocolate stick for each cup. Baked goods are also commonly provided at these locations, though alcohol and "cooked" goods including meat, eggs, and soup are not available. Going into a Choushino's coffee shop for the first time may be a daunting experience, even for the most veteran of coffee connoisseur. Ordering a latte or a mocha will very often get a chuckle out of the employee, as Shartya'a coffee is brewed in small, copper containers called cevez. Grounds are not separated from the coffee, and it is served in small espresso cups with a glass of ice cold water to cool excited palettes. Shartya'a coffee may be exotic to some, but we here at Choushino's believe, once you go Shartya'a, you can't go back!
Some larger locations install Bocce Ball courts for patrons to use while food is being prepared
Restaurant locations have all that coffee shops have to offer and more. Bars, as well as booth seating, and often Bocce Ball courts, are just a few of the extra embelishments given to full-fledged Choushino's locations. The bar portion of the restaurant is, of course, off limits to those below the drinking age of the country in which said restaurant is located. Choushino's restaurants aim to give the full Shartya'a dining experience, allowing customers to stay at their table through multiple meals if they so wish, and often provided complimentary snacks and appetizers to customers who make a good impression. Knowing the limitations of the urban and modern world, however, Choushino's locations are also prepared to give quick dining options, though delivery is out of the question. Full restaurants may also be reserved for private parties or speical occasions such as wedding receptions, political rallies, or bar mitzvahs.
