Llamanean Australian Football Organization: Season II

After Emerald Springs advanced to the quarterfinals of the second ARCC, there was a quick spike in popularity and businessmen came rushing to start franchises. The player pool was made larger, a franchise draft was held, and the LAFO became a two-tiered league with an interesting format.

The LAFO Premier, a six-team format, will consist of the top six finishers from the first season. These are Emerald Springs, New Llama, Vargas, Talahita, Los Juantos, and Wheathampton. Serban and West Llama will be relegated.

In addition, Vargas split into AFC Vargas and Vargas Revolution. AFC Vargas will take the place of Vargas, while the Vargas Revolution will become a team in the LAFO Challenger league, which will consist of eight teams. But enough talking, let's play some Aussie football!

The Super 6 FA is the only tier of the Australian Football competition in San Lucifero; it is a three-legged round robin. The winner of the Super 6 FA and the runner-up are San Lucifero's ARCC qualifiers. FARF Official Announcement

The FARF, due to administration errors, insolvency, general lack of interest and a threatened IP lawsuit by Farfadillis, has ceased operations effective immediately.

This is a hard decision to make, given the relative success of the FARF, but due to our broken rankings system, general indifference towards Australian Rules, and controversy over the name of said sport, we have felt the need to cancel the ARCC IV.

OOC: I have decided that the FARF, while a success, isn't exactly what I want to be involved in. I'm not a huge fan of Aussie Rules in real life, and with the uncertainty surrounding my nation and what I want to do with it, I've been considering leaving for a while. Not to mention I've broken the ranking system so many times, and it's horribly unbalanced. It takes me about 2-3 hours to do the rankings, and 1-2 hours to do the scorination, mainly due to slow PC and crappy internet. I think it's for the best that I shut this down now than keep it going and let it stagnate or become impossible to work with.

The FARF has been bailed out by a combination of Drakonian and Vyktoryan investors, and thus has been reinstated and will resume operations within a months time. Nations are now encouraged to start their leagues and submit teams to the ARCC IV! All previous ranks will be kept.

OOC: I'm back, and due to recent decisions made for my NS life, I am reinstating the FARF and keeping all previous rankings. The interim cutoff date has been extended to August 20th 2014, and we will skip the July edition due to this uncertainty.
I hope to keep this going, I've realized how much fun it is to scorinate and such.

Recently, people have been wondering why the FARF is named the way it is, as a famous association football playing nation (Farfadillis) shares it's demonym with our associations name. The answer is, it was an intentional pun, and we regret it very much, so from now on, we are known as the ARFF, or the Australian Rules Football Federation.

OOC: I thought FARF would be a funny pun, but it died out, and Farf was sick of getting pinged on IRC, so I thought I'd change the name now, while we were still gaining mass.

Wilsonville Power put on a powerful performance to top the home and away ladder, with Astra Bears 8 points behind. Albury Tigers, Rockton Demons and Jamestown Kings all lie 4 behind Astra, with point differential separating the three in that order from 3rd to 5th. Lionsgate Warriors lie 2 behind thanks to a draw. Hilldale Rovers pipped Violet Town on point differential to place Violet Town as the lowest finals seed.

Wooden Spoon Watch:
4 teams were tied on 32 points, just 8 points away from the wooden spoon, in order from 17th to 20th on PD us Edwardsford Hunters, Harton Zebras, Charleston Cavalry and Kingston Royals. Burton Magpies finished 4 below the four 32ers and Alfred Tyrants finished on 24 with the Spoon.

[Paradystopia]

Australian Rules Football, or Kikkebol as it is known in Paradystopia, is only seriously played on the tiny island of Kinshish where a meagre five teams battle it out for the top prize (which incidentally is a large quantity of strong beer and a few bragging rights). Although initially tentative about throwing themselves into the international scene, halfway through their alcoholic prize the victorious team decided 'why the fuck not?' and upon discovering that two slots were available promptly signed up the second-placed team without even consulting them.

The level of utter inebriation they acheived can be plainly seen by the fact they classified their country as Paradystopia, something no respecting Kinshishish would dream of doing

Then they drank still more beer and forgot the ARFF even existed though some of the players with stronger resolves had a vague inkling of something to do with Farfadillis occuring but couldn't exactly put their finger on what.

ARFF Official Announcement

Due to the civil war and state of destruction in Nexxus Drako, the ARFF was expected to fold, however investors from the Commonwealth of Vyktory were able to secure a movement of the ARFF HQ to Vyktory City.

The investors are now also changing the rules of the ARFF, allowing host site bids, like many other international club tournaments. These host bids will start being accepted with immediate effect.

OOC: Due to Nexxus Drako's imminent destruction in World Cup 69, I have moved all operations to my new main nation of Vyktory. I am also changing the laws to allow for finals host bids, the format of which shall be announced shortly.

Nation: Jeckland
Nation Info: Jeckland is a large country located in Esportiva. It is led by Jeck Hitchkin and is centre-right in politics. It is a nation fanatical about sports, although Australian Rules Football is probably not the best known in this country. They are probably most famous in sports for their second places at WBC 30, the Memorial Cup and The Worlds Fair TriWrathlon. In Australian Rules Football, the nation has been entering the ARCC since it's incarnation, with sides ranked 10, 12 and 13 as of post ARCC III.


Obstyne Arena, Obstyne cap. 25,000
The Jeckish Australian Rules Football Organisation (JARFO) is proud to announce that the ARCC final would be at Obystne Arena. This is the home stadium of Obstyne, two-time and current winners of the domestic league. Their stadium has a capacity of 25,00, the largest in Jeckland. The stadium is located in Obstyne, about an hour's MagLev ride away from Lingham Airport, and is easily accessible. Tickets would be split evenly between the two finalists teams, with a handful reserved for Jeckish officials and fans.
