Yeah. Dead Space 2, the invasion was on a planet/populated moon, I believe. Third one, not sure.

Nation Name: You know by now

Single Person or Group: Single Person in a group

Single Person Name or Group: Single Person Name: Carrie Tingwald, 5'5", age 23

Group Name: The People's Collective of the New World

Appearance:

And for anyone who has actually watched Primeval, she generally ends up wearing the cool outfits you see Abby wear on a regular basis, if she can.

Single Person Equipment:
1.Probably one of the common assault rifles the group uses.
2.Beretta M9
3.3 Smoke Grenades she salvaged at one point.
4.1 Hand Grenade that she also salvaged at one point
5.2 Flashbangs (Again salvaged at one point)
6.Extra ammo for both weapons, probably mostly for the assault rifle since assault rifles drain ammo fast.
7.Pocket Knife
8.Small dagger-like knife.
9.Backpack, and inside of it:
10.Small portions of food
11.Bit of medical supplies
12.Alternate clothes, but not much obviously because there's only so much you can fit into a backpack. And who knows if she really goes around carrying the backpack everywhere to reduce weight and keep herself more agile...

I figure they're a group so others probably carry some survival supplies while she carries different stuff...and I can't really think of anything else at the moment

Group Idealogy:

Group/Person Location: Wherever the Collective goes

Brief Summary on Group/Person: Obviously a lot of stuff the group has dealt with she has dealt with, too, being a part of it for a while, but there is other stuff related to her, too:

Related to why she is no longer around her family, where they are, or whether they're alive or not is unknown, because she doesn't really talk about her family, but also doesn't seem to be affected by anything potentially emotionally damaging from her childhood or more recently. So there's no real indication that she has had any problems from the past to have anybody really ask her about her past. And she doesn't go out of her way to bring up topics related to anybodies stories or pasts, anyway.

Her family was of British descent, so she is British, as well. And despite the fact her family has lived in America for years, where she may have adapted to a different accent, her families British accent never went away. Or some of the "British" dialogue. She seems to appreciate her ancestry, because in America, it makes her feel more "unique", though having people comment on it a lot or asking about her accent can get annoying at times. But mostly she doesn't mind.

And eventually various circumstances led her to the group, and she's resided there since with generally no complaints.

Technology:

RP Example: This RP

Lame bio, but whatever.

Group and/or Character Application
Nation Name:Ameige

Single Person or Group:group

Single Person Name or Group Name:Cowden

Equipment: one fuel/electric hybrid sedan with all the fancy hi-tech modern gadgets found in modern luxury cars & panorama sunroofs,
that runs on vegetable oil and whatever oily like stuff that can be gotten from mashed plants.
A couple portable generators with universal adapters capable of sucking electricty out of anything that runs on it and transfering the energy
to the generators, various types of pre-war gadgetry that are meant to make both house-life and various forms of work-life easier and less complicated/stressfull, several containers of highly profitable trade goods such as salt & pepper, sugar, spices, over-the-counter pharmacy medication,
packaged stuff retrieved from fast food joints such as condiment/sauce packets & sanatizing napkins & individually packaged silverware,
stuff to make perservitives & stuff to clean dishes and laundry.
Also included is a large cooler that self regulates tempature & has both built in and removable compartments, several canned and boxed food & MREs,
containers of veritey of drinks both in liquid form and powder, assorted camping equipment, hospital grade medkit consisting of everything
a hospital might have that could fit in a large box, survival gear, a large white tarp, a modern movie projector complete with dvd & vhs capabilities and plug-in jacks and dials for an assortment of things. As well as assorted pet equipment, various as seen on tv gadets, and a large duffel bag filled with pre-apocalyptic nation flags as well as a purposefully tattered new nation flag and equipment to string them up or plaster them to walls and such. Plus various boxes and other containers full of materials and objects picked up along their travels.
They also each have a large backpack consisting of several different types of travel kits, water bottle with built in purifyer,
a couple changes of clothes, umbrellas, and other such accoutrements people might carry in a backpack for traveling, two of which also held a couple modern handheld gaming devices each,
and the third held a geiger counter, tablet & some sort of electronic data organizer with several helpfull apps including gps, clock, calender, weather forcast, calculator, currency transference & the like.
Beckett Cowden wears a utlity/holster belt consisting of box/pocket type things, both types of tazers & a sig handgun with a 3-D detailed fbi logo on both sides of the handle & carries a Ultra Mobile Personal Computer in one of his coat pockets at all times.

Group Ideology:Build a new nation

Group/Person Location:near the utah/colorado border

Brief Summary on Group/Person: Originally situated in a small commune like settlement tucked in some back corner somewhere in montana.
It was meant to be a temporary settlement to wait out the aftermath of any of an assortment of apocalyptic scenarios.
Naturally it wasnt built to last. The only adult of this group 'Beckett Cowden's father and grandfather served in various goverment instillations
before all this. FBI, CIA, NSA and so forth... His father died when he was barely a teen, shortly after this all started,
when people were still jumpy, trigger happy looters ready to shoot at anything that moved..
Suffice to say he lost his life to a couple of those thinking he was trying to move in on their looting spot. But not till after he and his grandfather trained and instilled the ideals of the important goverment agencies into him and, eventually once he grew up, his grandfather gave him credentials for each just before he passed on.

Now 24 year old Mr.Cowden and his two daughters he got from a couple different women in the commune (tribal 'share each other' ideals),
11 year old Hayden and 14 year old Alywn are driving across a couple states, with their three dogs
(a muscular husky the size of a great dane, a lassie sheepdog & a golden lab) to take over the Cheyenne mountian instillation and
hopefully start a new nation based on the ideals and standards of the commune that is likely falling into disrepair at this very moment.

Technology Summary: Lots of pre-war gear from a well stocked commune

To any one interested in helping out the Cowdens, please bear in mind that they have both incestious & tribal 'share each other' mentalities they plan to instill in their new nation.

I feel like popping in somehow but I don't really know how. I have 2 other characters just sitting around but one I don't want to join in anything yet since New Vaxon got deleted, and one I have other ideas for in the future that tie in with Electra...but they're a ways in the future so I might be able to do something with him. Meaning that I'll probably have him disappear from the group somehow at some point so I can do my ideas. I just spent a bit thinking of how to tie them in with changes to his story, so it could work.

Also, you're better at little subtle details then I ever seem to manage to be, no matter how hard I try, or how many books I read (Which isn't much lately, but ignore that part). Like "The Mk. 17 was raised to meet his eye line, each footstep becoming softer and slower across the cracked and weathered asphalt.". Mine would just consist of something like "Walks slowly on the road" :P

Haha, thanks. Sometimes I think I overdo it slightly, but if you think it's good then I'll keep going. Actually had to catch myself from saying "tarmac" there, so gotta get into character. You seem to be quite good at that actually, I tend to end up RPing variations of myself (though Alasdair is actually meant to be kind of like me unlike Aed and, the so far silent, Leonid)

Eh, I don't really find a problem with that kind of stuff being "overdone", to be honest. I like detail. Just wish I could do that myself.

And I watch too many movies. It gives me ideas, and a lot of the time, my characters are vaguely based off of characters from shows/ But a lot are also entirely me coming up with ideas (Electra), though stuff like Game of Thrones, which I think helped me a lot realize what I REALLY want out of entertainment stuff, probably helps me with TRYING to make them feel more "real". Though I try to do that as much as possible. Like attempting to accurately portray PTSD and/or depression.

I'm actually terrible at RPing myself. I tried it on more then one occasion...Where I was literally playing myself.

In other words, I try my best to play a varied amount of characters, with a varied amount of ideas (Though I can only come up with so much creative ideas in the apocalypse), played well, but I still only really consider myself to be average overall.

What kind of details I always end up paying attention to the most is injuries (Until my ADD mind forgets about it, anyway), and sorts like that. Like hurricanes hitting only in this place, where exactly our characters are in the US, what's in those locations, stuff like that...Or trying to, like I said, do PTS and depression right. Or a bunch of substance abuse withdrawal issues for one of my characters. That will be fun. Reading lots of research for that is also fun :P

Glasgia wrote:Also, who controls the infected? Do we tend to go on an OP-control kind of thing, or just make them move with the story?

Eh, depends. I actually haven't controlled the infected more than once since I became OP after the previous one went inactive (And came back, but hasn't said anything). Mostly because I don't like throwing constant infected on people all the time, and I like to give people freedom most of the time to do what they want. The previous OP kinda piled constant infected attacks after constant infected attacks, with various other things happening, and I'm more of a chilled back, a story doesn't need constant action kinda go that's fine with lots of casual dialogue, so I've cut back on that kind of thing as OP.

You can control the infected, really. I don't really care. I just might control them in situations sometimes.

Edit: Just noticed it's almost 5 AM. Think I'm going to call it a night now.

Nation Name:Adin

Single Person or Group: Group if possible

Single Person Name or Group Name: The Colonies of Fort Wayne

Single Person Equipment (About 10 to 15 items preferably, though less than that is perfectly fine if you want your character to not have much at all): Varies depending on person's preference and rank.

Group Ideology: Survive

Group/Person Location: Fort Wayne

Brief Summary on Group/Person:
The Colonies of Fort Wayne trace their roots back to an era where Fort Wayne was nothing more than pure chaos. It was during the infection's early years when law was no more and humans ran amuck just as wild as animals. During this time a few people joined together just to stay alive and avoid being killed. This group would later come out of the ashes to start anew.

After the quarantine zones were built and people were being shipped off the military quickly lost control due to both the so called 'raiders' and infected. The military tried to defend themselves and made a brilliant last stand at one of Fort Wayne's air force bases ,but the infected overwhelmed them in the end. This base is long such picked dry. After the 'Last Stand' the group quickly rose to power by attacking weaker groups and kidnapping lone persons adding to their group. Of course the raiders saw them as a juicy target ,but after a few battles they learned the hard way. Leave us alone or have your head on a pike. The raiders then spread out to the surrounding country side leaving the colonies alone.

The colonies are 12-14 different 'towns' avoiding Fort Wayne, which is a very much a mutant hot spot, with each a leader. These leaders form a council which they can talk about matters that threaten their well-being and what they can do about it. Typically the leaders run their colonies as long as they don't break the codes set down by the founders. The colonies operate like a mini nation with everyone having a different role.

During the earlier years of the colonies civil war broke out when Jackson gathered a small group and took over one of the towns forming the 'Dark Stalkers' based on the idea of taking over the former cities of America and turning it into some kind of 'New Eden'. This caused an uproar for blood after the execution of the leader Richard. Quickly the colonies formed their own army called the 'Justiciars' with Hamzah acting as commander. The Justiciars went to attack a Stalker camp which resulted in defeated and several men were lost. Despite this the colonies still remained hopeful ,but after another defeat rumors started to spread. These rumors were dead after the victory of the Battle of Car's Express after a group of stalkers jumped a group of Justiciars and after a poor charge the stalkers were either killed or captured. One was the second in command who, after Hamzah threaten his manhood, gave information about plans, groups, defenses, and number of people. Hamzah quickly organized the Justiciars and raided camps weakening the stalkers. In retaliation Jackson ordered a charge on a heavily defended town and the stalkers would have gained the town if it wasn't for the local infected.

During the last few days of the civil war Jackson grew ever more desperate and ordered suicidal attacks. One day while planning an attack infected ran through his captured town and Jackson was bitten. After the attack Justiciars swarmed the town and burnt it either capturing or killing many of the remaining stalkers. The broken and tattered remains fled leaving behind their once 'glorious vision'. Only God knows what has happened to the stalkers.

After the civil war the codes were set. The colonies are at peace and enjoyed a good time up until recently. A drought has sent in the local area and tensions are at the boiling point. Another civil war is poised to strike unless something is done. If civil war comes then the ground will run red.

Technology Summary:
The colonies use mostly makeshift weapons with pre-infection tech that is cleaned and reused. The most common weapons you'll come across are the crossbows and machetes with pipe bombs being uncommon. There's also a few strange vehicles that the colonies use which use a sort of machine gun crossbow.

Colony Guards: Your typical people who defend. Most common weapons you find them with are crossbows, machetes, and makeshift grenades. They also have light armor protecting them ,but it is easily broken. Appearance: http://briellecostumes.typepad.com/.a/6 ... 970b-500wi

Colony Looter: Guys and gals who go out to gather things. Typical equipment is a backpack, custom-made bow/melee weapon, and a light source. Little armor. Appearance: http://projectzomboid.com/beta-blog/wp- ... susego.png

Justiciars: Elites who are selected from childhood to survive as frontline troopers, typically in small numbers. Normally has a crossbow/makeshift gun, pipe bomb, bandages, lights, backpack, rations/water, polished machete or sword for higher ranked officials. Armor can protect them decently ,but a few well aimed or place strikes should wear it down. Appearance: http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/ ... 6c5b8c.jpg

RP Example (Not really absolutely needed): I do believe we've met.

Also I'll have a few character apps up for my main guys and gals.

Yeah.

Also, I wrote a whole thing with a way for me to maybe have one of my characters interact with your group, so you have someone to interact with. But it will only work for so long with that particular character, because I plan for him to get involved into other things after a while.

Your group was going to do something related to the United Air Force Academy group, right? Because that's where my character will end up, but after Electra gets there with "her" group, and they're long gone from the area, not before.

Well the whole area actually. Im not fully sure yet what they are going to do with the base since its just the three of them but I figure they could use it as a general military or milita training camp if they get enough people to join with them. Right now they are heading to cheyenne mountian and hoping to eventually build an electric fence around the area if there isnt allready one. They are hoping to take over the area that encludes cheyenne mountian, colorado springs, whatever the cheyenne mountian town is called and the nearby canyon and I guess whatever other towns are in that general area.

They are hoping to take over the area that encludes cheyenne mountian, colorado springs, whatever the cheyenne mountian town is called and the nearby canyon and I guess whatever other towns are in that general area.

Yeah, if/when the Dark Brotherhood leaves the base :P

If you WANT to start something with the group wandering about now, I can pop my character in.

Yup! Friend recommended me it. Instantly became one of my favorite shows. Didn't quite like the movie as much, but it was still good.

Favorite character is River.

"My food is problematic"

"I can kill you with my brain".

Tried to play her in an RP once...
