What turret are you referring to and what do you mean exactly? I assume you don't think it actually looks like a simple square.

The latter two MBT-70 rips - I think he's trying to say that the ERA placement is very angular, which shows that the tank is more akin in shape to the Abrams (with its flat, frontal armour facing and the angular shape of the turret) as opposed to the MBT-70, which has a bit more of a rounded turret and would thus require smaller ERA panels to be placed at different angles along the turret frontage (by virtue of its shape). Hence the reference to the Israeli M60s with Blazer armour - the tank has a rounded turret, and the ERA panels are narrower so they can navigate around the turret's shape. You can easily remedy the problem by doing what the Russians do with some of their reactive armour, which is to mount the ERA on a frame mounted on the turret (as opposed to attaching it to mounting points on the turret itself).

Well, the mantle is pretty much the same angle as the Abrams', and the sides of the turret are straight, so it's fine.

M41A1 Troubadour
Protection: 20-100mm
Armament:
110mm AT Gun
Pintle-mounted M20 LCSW
Crew: 6 (Commander, Driver, Radio Operator, Gunner, Loader, Loader)
As WWII once again became more aggressive and fought with brute force, Fordorsia started to employ more heavily armoured tank destroyers for use against the increasing numbers of heavy tanks being used on all sides.
One of the most famous of these tank destroyers was the M41 Troubadour. First put into service in 1941 as an infantry support tank, it's 110mm gun allowed it to adequately engage all types of ground targets and still keep up with the infantry it was supporting. It's reletively thick frontal armour gave it a small chance of holding it's own against lower-caliber guns, but it's thin side and rear armour, as well as it's open-topped turret made it extremely vulnerable too being flanked or attacked by infantry.
350 M41A1s were made and put into service.
M41A2 Troubadour
Protection: 20-135mm
Armament:
130mm AT Gun
Pintle-mounted 7.65mm machine gun
Crew: 6 (Commander, Driver, Radio Operator, Gunner, Loader, Loader)
In 1945, as many countries were fielding the largest and most heavily armoured vehicles that they would during the war, it became apparent that the M41 would need to be converted into a dedicated tank destroyer instead of being used for infantry support. The remaining 290 M41A1s were converted and continued to see service.
Changes included a fully-enclosed turret with a new, much thicker mantle, as well as the ability to now carry a 130mm AT gun, making the M41A2 lethal at long ranges. Other changes included making the front hull one large, sloped compartment for both the driver and radio operator, instead of the two individual box compartments of the M41A1, as well as giving the radio operator a hull-mounted 7.65mm machine gun.
M41A3 Troubadour
Protection: 30-200mm
Armament:
130mm AT Gun
Co-axial 7.65mm machine gun
Crew: 6 (Commander, Driver, Radio Operator, Gunner, Loader, Loader)
As the war was nearing it's end in 1954, explosive reactive armour, or ERA had been introduced to Fordorsia and the nations within Ulfheim. This allowed them to further improve the protection of their current vehicles, without having to make them significantly larger or heavier. The remaining 180 M41A2s were converted to accommodate the ERA. This meant they were fitted with new turrets, driver and radio operator compartments and spaced armour over the sides of the hull fitted with ERA. The new turrets featured a sloped turret face, as well as improved optics for the commander, gunner, driver and radio operator. The whole front half of the turret was covered in ERA, with the rear being covered with slat armour.
The front of the hull, now with the machine gun removed, was now one large, featureless slope covered completely in ERA.
As well as the defensive measures, the M41s were also given new engines, transmissions and the most advanced optics at the time, making it one of the most effective tanks during the last stages of the war.
It is estimated that out of the 50 M41A3s that made it to the front lines before the war's end, nearly all of them scored at least 15 kills, with many having a much higher count. It is also estimated that the M41, throughout it's service history, was responsible for the destruction of well over 2,500 vehicles, making it one of Fordorsia's most successful vehicles of the war, second only the the M42.
After several minor upgrades and changes throughout the 70's and 80's, the venerable M41 Troubadour is still in service with Fordorsia, making it the country's longest-serving vehicle.
tl:dr M41 Troubadour is the best

Best M41.

Also,
I think I want to change up my infantry support. Instead of HIFV w/ 40mm autocannons, keep the 25mm design and instead spam the fuck out of rapid-firing 76mm designs (Firing at around 10-15 rpms for lulz). Supported by glorious 105mm wheeled death trucks and AMX-30s, French infantry will be invincible.
