The Lord of the Rings: The adventures that didn't happen OOC

Welcome to a brand new Lord of the Rings RP



This RP has only one difference with the cannon story.
What if Gollum wasn't captured, and therefor Sauron would not know about the Ring lying in the hands of a hobbit?
This opens up the door for multiple adventures to take place before the war of the Ring would happen. This RP tells those adventures, and in the end it will effect the war of the Ring. The basics are simple, there are a total of 13 different adventures that could take place in Middle-Earth, however not all of them will be told. Some need a specific outcome of other adventures. These adventures will all be small RP's, this to keep it intresting for everybody. To make it fair, everybody who joins needs to chose either Good or Evil. You will have to stick to that side in all RP's. This is to avoid people switching becouse of the strenght of one of the two. The adventures themselves also have different ways of playing. Some will be character played, without any armies to controll. Some on the other hand focus on the armies and others are a combination of the two. The RP starts in 3018, the time that would mark the start of the war of the Ring in cannon.

In this RP each realm will have a certain amount of troops who will send into combat.
The way you battle your way to victory is all up to you, aslong as you keep it within LOTR terms of realism.
There will be certain main objectives, wich will grant you rewards if you complete them, Then there will be the hidden objectives, those will also give you a reward, however you don't know the objective itself. Ofcourse the one that loses all his cities & encampments, or runs out of troops will lose the war. In the RP it isn't possible to upgrade defenses or anything. Its only focused on the battles. If you besiege a city, you will have a ram and catapults, no need to build them or so (you could include it into the post ofcourse).
One note for in the IC: When Rangers place an ambush it can't be discoverd by the enemy. This just to avoid the pointless arguments about it. Other ambushes can just be discoverd ofcourse.

Haha Sauron isn't the main challenger in this RP. Most focus will be on Harad. Mordor will send in some troops, but merely for support or so.
Mordor will save up forces for other adventures
