Now, I'm not saying that Seattle aren't the best team in the NFC; they probably are. I'm just saying they didn't really beat anyone of offensive substance to get to the playoffs. That said, if the NFCD game was played in New Orleans the Seahawks are still a defensive power house. They can generate pressure with four guys and that's important to a top flight Defence. I say Seattle still wins that game.
Preseason results count for exactly three fifths of fuck all. Seattle's scrubs and JVs beat Denver's scrubs and JVs. Accounts for literally nothing.

...So what does that say when we beat the best of Denver's lineup 43-8?

Two things occurred to me tonight.
1. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were obviously trying to send a message about the Broncos during the halftime show.
2. I should have invested in a DVD of the Saints winning the Superbowl. At least then, I'd be seeing Manning getting his ass kicked by a team I actually like.

I'll see what I can do.
This is my rough plan until our next operation, just so people know, and this is open to amendment.
1. Finishing Ali/Adolf discussion
2. Ali/Talbot chat (co-op post currently under construction)
3. Ali/Page chat that is probably going to be written as a one-shot and then CPd straight into Tempsford
4. Time-skip of about a week or so
5. Excalibur field trip
6. Time-skip to operation.
So that's the plan.

Bob,
I don't even know where to start. I want to talk to you about what happened over there very, very badly, but I think it's probably safe for me to assume it'll get censored all to hell if I even try to talk in specifics. I don't know why you were there, or what you were doing, or even half of what was going on, if I'm perfectly honest, because I don't speak CENSORED or CENSORED. But all I know for sure is that I was in a very, very bad place, and you and your people got me and my friends out of it. I'm not going to forget it. But we are definitely going to talk about it next time we meet. Least we can do is buy your fellows a few drinks (assuming they let you pilots drink. Do they? It seems a bit irresponsible if they do, but I'm sure they've got their reasons) if we run into each other anytime soon.
God, Bob, it was awful back there. I can hardly bring myself to think of it, those two or so weeks after everything fell apart - I thought for sure I was going to get killed, one way or the other, along with all the rest of my boys. Even before we got CENSORED, it was a very bad scene, the eight of us lost somewhere in CENSORED, no idea where to go or what to do, and then to meet a gang of people to think are your friends, only to get stabbed in the back like that...it was terrible. And then when you showed up, it was like something out of one of those American cowboy movies, with you riding to the rescue like that (in a good way, obviously - but you've got to admit that if God exists, judging from how we both live, he must really like silly adventure books. You and him would have so much in common!).
I'm back in CENSORED now - all of us are. Thankfully, we hadn't been gone too long, so the Army hadn't written us off for dead, just missing, which made things a little bit easier once we found our way back to where we're stationed now. I don't know if they ever got back to you and Mum and Dad or if they held off, so I sent them a letter as soon as I possibly could, just in case my CENSORED notice got home first and they started panicking. Just sent that out yesterday, so the reply probably shouldn't be too long in waiting. Thankfully, I don't think I was gone long enough for Caroline to notice, so hopefully, I can just conceal my absence in me not having time to write her during the CENSORED. She'll probably kill me, but it's better than scaring her to death. By the way, she told me to say hello, to wish you good luck, and to tell you to keep yourself safe in her last letter to me, by the way. Sorry it got to you a bit late. So make plans accordingly, I suppose.
The Company's fairly glad to have us back, but they aren't going easy on us - we've been folded right back into the swing of things, drilling and training like nobody's business. The mood over here's fairly grim and serious, but I've never seen the men more committed than they are now. We may have gotten kicked out of France, but we lived to fight another day, and that's more than all those other armies that went up against Hitler can say. We may be down to the last chance, but we're playing at home, with everyone, Army, RAF, Navy, people on the street, the entire Empire, all here and pulling together. I'd be lying to you if I told you I wasn't scared of what's going to come in the next few months, but we're not going to break again, I swear it. We all know what the stakes are this time.
Hell, thinking about it, I don't even know why I'm scared. With me and the West Kents on the ground, and you and your people up above, Hitler could unleash all Hell on us and it'd still be a slaughter for our side! Let them all come! If the sausage-eaters think they can just roll us over on our homeland, they've got another thing coming!
All bluster aside, I can't thank you enough. I know how lucky I was, and I won't forget what you did any time soon. Here's hoping we can get a pint together and raise a little hell sooner rather than later. And for God's sake, keep yourself alive. I think the parents have just been through one shock too many already.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Your brother,
Paul
(P.S. Not to step on anybody's feet or make any untoward assumptions...but I did have one last thing to say: if you've got any damn sense at all, take care of that girl you were with back in CENSORED. Again, I don't know how you do things in the RAF, so just in case you're so mobbed with adoring lasses that you can't remember or tell which one, I'm talking about the brunette with big eyes who about came up to your shoulder, had a braid, and looked like some sort of princess. That's all I'll say, least till we meet again.)

Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.
