You are searching for an FT-source for Military Equipment?
You are searching for highly dependable, not too expensive and still good guns, ships, tanks and anything else, which might be needed by an armed force?
You do not want to descent into the colourful world of deathrays and the like, but still want to be FT?
You clicked yourself through countless and countless of other storefronts without finding what you need?

Friend, you do not need to search any further - with the Referat für Rüstungsexport (RfR, Department for Armament Export) of the Gesellschaft für Außenwirtschaft (Society for Foreign Trade), you found the store fitting all your needs in things, which ends the lifes of other people, no matter if large or small, light or heavy, gun or tank or airplane or ship - everything can be bought here.

We are also often asked, how we can achieve such high protection at such low cost.
Let's just answer this with saying, that people seem to have forgotten, what a good plate of sloped steel can do.

Please take note of the provisional character of this storefront and it's contents. We are currently working very hard to fix this.
Thank you very much.

General Business Terms

The Refert für Rüstungsexport (subsequently referred to as RfR) is a subdivision of the Gesellschaft für Außenwirtschaft (subsequently GfAW), an organisation for the administration of exports and imports from and to the Order. Due to this, the GfAW and the RfR reserves the right to deny the request of any possible contracting party, if the contracting party has made any moves against the Foreign Interests of the Order or allies.

Pricing
The GfAW calculates using the regional currency of the New Lunar Republic, the Lunar Silver. According to the Ministry of Science and Economics, the Lunar Silver stands with 1 NSD equalling 0.75 Lunar Silver.

It will however be no problem to caculate the prices in the own currency of the contracting party in accordance to the NST.
The GfAW and the RfR reserve the right to make the calculations and the rounding.

Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payment in cash, natural ressources (courses in accordance with the courses at the Marienburg Stock Exchange), via check, credit card and installment, as well as in workforce.

Discounts
    - Member of the New Lunar Republic: 20 percent discount. (This discount is only valid for members, who are member of the NLR for more then a month.)
    - Nations with a population below 75 million people: 10 percent discount.

3.1. Personal Weaponry and Equipment

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:04 pm

Personal Weaponry and Equipment

EFWS-12
Type: Pistol
Overall length: 215mm
Overall height: 145mm
Weigth unloaded: 1,250g
Calibre (magazine): 11.5 mm (12)
Price per unit: 1,200 Lunar Silver

EFWS-12 is the standart sidearm for all soldiers, policemen and state-security personell, developed and produced by the Eisenfurter Waffenschmieden.
With it's 21.5 centimetres length and it's unloaded weight of 1,250 gramms, it is compact and leight weight, making it an ideal gun for a range of 100 to 150 metres. The twelve 11.5 millimetre bullets guarantee, that whatever you hit from this range is obliterated (for a detailed description of the ammunition, please consult the Ammunition-section below).

As a gas operated semi-automatic pistol with rotating bolt and with the 11.5 millimetre ammunition, it packs quite a punch upon firing, making it hard for people not used to such a large calibre or gun in general to fire it effectively (we recommend either using it on a much closer scale or much training before you attempt to fire it on the ideal gun range).
Also, do not attempt to fire it with one hand. A personal piece of advice says, that it causes much headache and a hurting arm. Neither RfR nor EFWS are to be made reliable for ignoring this warning.
The gun controls are hard to move on purpose, as is the reliability of the gun and the fact, that, besides aforementioned personal-strength-issues, it is an easy gun to shoot, rarely jams and is rather easy to maintain.

Note: The troops tend to call this gun the "Handhaubitze" or "hand howitzer".

PBM-13
Image
PBM-13 Assault Rifle.

Type: Assault Rifle
Overall length: 1025mm
Overall height: 220mm
Weigth unloaded: 4.4kg
Calibre (magazine): 8mm (30)
Price per unit: 3,100 Lunar Silver

With a length of a little bit over a metre, the roller-delayed blowback operated PBM-13 Assault Rifle is reliable and rather easy to handle, while still being precise, rifle. However, due to it's unfoldable and uncollapsable stock, it can't be adapted to smaller fighting environments (which led to the development of PBM-13K below).
Developed and produced by Pfeilheimer Bogenmacher, the rifle has an effective firing range of 500 metres thanks to the sights and their adjustments. However, external sights can be mounted on the rails on the handle above.
The customer is also free to mount any attachment on the rails below the barrel.

Among the troops, the PBM-13 has the reputation of a good and reliable rifle, which may looks a little bit frail, but is many things then that. It is easy to disassemble and reassemble, even in the field and in the darkness.

PBM-13K
Type: Carbine of PBM-13
Overall length: 840mm
Overall height: 220mm
Weigth unloaded: 3.6kg
Calibre (magazine): 8mm (30)
Price per units 3,250 Lunar Silver

PBM-13K is a shorter, equally reliable variant of PBM-13 with the K standing for 'Karabiner'/carbine. It is compact, light weight and reliable, an ideal weapon for uncomfortable situations such as urban fighting.
But due to the shorter barrel of the carbine, it's effective firing range is limited to 400 metres with the already integrated sights and adjustments. External sights, however, can still be mounted on the handle.

Just like the 'big brother' PBM-13, PBM-13K has the reputation of a good and reliable gun among the Order's troops.

EFWS-11S
Type: Heavy Machine Gun
Overall length: 1225mm
Weigth unloaded: 11.5kg
Calibre (magazine): 8mm (beltfed)
Price per unit: 4,750 Lunar Silver

EFWS-11
Type: Light Machine Gun/Squad Auxillary Weapon
Overall length: 1030mm
Overall height: 230mm
Weigth unloaded: 7.4kg
Calibre (magazine): 8mm (200 softpack)
Price per unit: 5,000 Lunar Silver

EFWS-17
Type: Submachine Gun
Overall length: 650mm
Overall height: 260mm
Weigth unloaded: 2.5kg
Calibre (magazine): 9mm (30)
Price per unit: 1,600 Lunar Silver

PBM-14
Type: Sniper Rifle
Overall length: 1225mm
Overall height: 230mm (with telescopic sight)
Weigth unloaded: 7.1kg
Calibre (magazine): 8mm (10)
Price per unit: 4,500 Lunar Silver

Range: 750 km
Price per unit: 22,500 Lunar Silver

The Hermelin, named after a cute little forest-critter famous for it's fur, is a workhorse for nearly every situation. However, this Wheeled APC's fur is anything but soft, instead very firm and holding of AT-mines up to seven kilogram of explosive mass under the centre.
Since the Hermelin is a rather light vehicle for it's size, it can be transported by air and sea without problems and can even be airdropped from a plane. It is useable as an amphibious vehicle, up to 5.6 metres below the watersurface is possible, everything above/below is not recommended.

The Hermelin was developed to be a transport platform and support for a Gruppe, or squad, of eleven soldiers (crew of the vehicle with additional responsibilities and nine soldiers), primarily for the heavy infantry. As time moved on, the EFWS-25 30mm-autocannon prooved it's worth against all kinds of matters, it's L/8-barrel and the rate of fire of up to two 2,000 rounds per minute (the rate of fire is selectable in step of 100 rpm, from 100 to 2,000) being as much of strong points as the muzzle velocity of 1,500 m/s and the remote control of the gun in the large aiming area without turning the turret. With this kind of main armament, the Hermelin was and is capable of taking down flying objects such as helicopters,
Soon, the Flotteninfanterie (the Order's Marines) began to get interested, as did the Light Infantry, who both adopted the fighting platform in 2010. At the same time, the Rittertruppe began to phase out the Hermelin in favour of the heavier Weißwolf-IFV (see below), seeing that their need to be "the heaviest infantry [wasn't] satisfied anymore" (O-tone of General Schwerer, at the time highest officer of the Rittertruppe).
Today the Hermelin is one of the most valuable assets of the Ritterheer and, if you choose so, your army, too, it's unmatched reliability in forests, urban terrains, deserts, snowscapes, mountains and many other kinds of terrain is nearly unmatched.

However, we would lie if we say, that the Hermelin is the most awesome and best wheeled APC and has no flaws. In fact, it has flaws:
To achieve the nearly unmatched reliability, the whole system is complicated to maintain and should be done by appropriately trained personell with matching tools.
The 30mm-autocannon becomes unreliable with the highest rates of fire, so that most gunners choose to use something around 1,200 rpm as their standart rate of fire.
The secondary machine gun, an EFWS-11S, mounted on a Fernsteuerlafette 15, has, due to it's position above the driver's seat, a rather limited area of fire.

All in all, the Hermelin is a good and solid APC, useable for many things and coming by a good price and quality - it is definately not the best Wheeled APC in the whole wide world, but it is among the best for many needs.

(Note: Due to a request of the Weltraumfüsiliere (the Order's 'Space Marines'), the producer is currently developing a model either using a rail- or a coilgun. These models are currently in early prototype status and nothing finite can be said about them so far.)

3.3. Seagoing Warships, submarines and support ships

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:05 pm

Seagoing Warships, submarines and support ships

To control a planet, not only the orbit needs to be controlled, quite on the contrary: The surface needs to be controlled. While orbital superiority might help a fair bit to achieve the goal, the defense of a world is never only a matter of the control of the solid surface.
That is, where any kind of seagoing ship comes into play.
This section of the Catalogue offers you the tools to control a planet's seas and oceans for whatever purpose you need, for not all threats can or should be eleminated via orbital bombardement.

Type: Fast Attack Craft
Image
SB-22 OS Specht (SB-4-class).

Length: 57.6 metres
Width: 7.8 metres
Draught: 2.6 metres
Displacement: 390 tons
Maximum Speed: 40 knots/74.08 kilometres per hour
Operating Time: two weeks
Crew: 4 officers, 25 enlisted
Sensors: Oberflächenradar MAXI (Surface Search Radar), Schnellboots-Luftverteidigungsradar Schäferhund (Air Defense Radar)
Armament: 1x 76 mm Gauss gun, 4x missile pods, 1x Laser Close Range Defensive System, 2x EFWS-11S machine guns, Mine laying capability
Usage: Convoy raids, fleet protection

The SB-4-class or Steinlöwe-class (a Steinlöwe/stone lion is a large predator on Arbores, grey as stone, hence the name) is the most rudimentary type of ship you will ever meet: Relatively cheap to built, upkeep and maintain, small crew and still packing a punch.
It is a classic Faast Attack Craft, with the capability of attacking larger units effectively and defending own large units.
Their speciality however is attacking enemy convois using the 76 mm Gauss Gun, capable of firing relatively cheap ammunition (while iron-tungsten-rods are recommended, simple iron rods can be fired to devestating effect). The gun is capable of punching through 45 centimetres of steel equivalent armour, so freighters and tankers aren't a problem.

What problems are, are the relatively short operating time (two weeks), which can be extended via replenishment ships like the ones of the Packpferd-class below, and the uncomfortable living quarters of the crew and their officers.

Sensors
Oberflächenradar MAXI (Surface Search Radar)
The Oberflächenradar MAXI is the newest iteration of the classical Surface Search Radar (SSR), coupled with targetting computers for all weapons onboard the ship except the two heavy machine guns and the Laser Close Range Defensive System.
With an effective range of detection of around 4,000 kilometres, the MAXI can detect targets from over the horizon, which enhances the effective combat range of the anti-ship missiles (see below) to around 3,500 kilometres.
MAXI is also capable of detecting targets on solid ground as long as a line of sight to the target to be detected can be established - it won't work if the target 'hides' behind a mountain.

The system can not be purchased independently.

Schnellboots-Luftverteidigungsradar Schäferhund (Air Defense Radar)
The Schäferhund Air Defense Radar (Schäferhund means shepherd's dog) is a small, quite effective system with a detection range of 3,000 kilometres in any direction except below the surface (it therefore can be used as supplementary SSR if the MAXI is taken out). Airborne targets can be detected and tracked up to a height of 6,000 kilometres, making them a valuable addition to the low-orbit defensive radar systems.
It can track up to 10,000 targets at the same time and identify them at the same time.
The Schäferhund-System is connected to the Laser Close Range Defensive System and can not be purchased independently.

Armament
76 mm GSK C/01 Gauss gun
The 76 mm GSK C/01 Gauss gun (76 mm Gauss-Schnellfeuerkanone/Gauss Rapid Fire Gun Construktionsjahr 2001/Constructionyear 2001 - we don't have any clue how the C goes in there) is the centrepiece of the SB-4-class' armament.
Connected to the MAXI Surface Search Radar, the gun with six 76 mm coils (hence the name) has an effective combat range of 44,264 metres without tailwind but with a tungsten-iron-rod of 36 mm diametre.
The maximum rate of fire can be cranked up to 100 rounds per minute, but we do not recommend it: The coils tend to overheat very fast at a rate of fire higher then 60 rounds per minute. Due to that, we also not recommend using explosive ammunition, because those like to detonate prematurely while still being in the barrel, which isn't as good aas it sounds.
Usually, the SB-4-class has around 1,500 of ammunition onboard.

76 mm GSK C/01 Gauss gun can be purchased independently at a price of 25 million Lunar Silver without any targetting systems.

Schäfer Laser-Kurzstreckenverteidigungssystem (Laser Close Range Defensive System)
The Schäfer Laser Close Range Defensive System (Schäfer means shepherd) is the newest close-in weapon system in service. Capable of attacking a target, be it a missile, an airplane or even space-descending enemy ships at a range of 8,000 metres (if enemy ships can be destroyed is an entirely different matter), it is the ideal system for air defense against smaller airborne targets.
The real threat for those is the Schäfer coupled with a Schäferhund ASR (see above), which leads to a deadly combination of firepower, radar and the not-need for ammunition refills except hydrogen for the small nuclear fusion reactor powering the whole FAC (see below).

The Schäfer LCRDS can not be purchased independently.

Missile Pods
The four missile pods are a general term for the four holders for missiles onboard an SB-4-class FAC.
As long as they fit into the delivered interchangeable pods and can be connected to the Schäferhund ASR or the MAXI SSR, any type missile can be used. We however recommend the following:
    - Luftabwehrrakete Eule-III (SAM Owl-III): SAM for the defense against any kind of flying target, three per pod. Range 65km, maximum ceiling 20km. Price: 25,000 Lunar Silver per missile.
    - See-Boden-Rakete Seeadler VI (Sea-Ground-Missile Seaeagle VI): Missile for the attack of solid-ground/shore targets, smaller cruise missile. One per pod. Medium-Range Hypersonic. Warhead of 500kg. Range 400km. Price: 800,000 Lunar Silver per missile.
    - Seezielrakete Harpune I (Sea-Target Missile Harpoon I): Missile for the attack of sea-surface targets, four per pod. Subsonic. Warhead of 500kg. Range 350km. Price: 30,000 Lunar Silver per missile.
    - Ausbildungsrakete Farbeimer II (Training Missile Colour Bucket II): Missile for training purposes. Price: 10,000 Lunar Silver per missile.

The missile pods can not be purchased independently.

Additional Weaponry
For information about the two EFWS-11S machine guns, refer to the Personal Weaponry and Equipment section of this catalogue, under the topic of machine guns.
In addition to all of that, the SB-4-class FAC is equipped with mine rails, which can be repurposed to be used for depth charges. Since Sea Mine Deployment does not need any specialized technology, the Mine Rails work without any technological limitations.

Power Source
Main pwer source of the SB-4-class FAC is the small Winzling (Dwarf) Nuclear Fusion Reactor, supplying enough power for the sensors, engines, weapons and everything else and then some.
It is a Hydrogen Fusion Reactor, rather hard to maintain and very expensive.
From the fuel side of things, the SB-4-class FAC does not have any operating time limitations (Hydrogen is a part of water after all), but the problems begin with food and other necessary supplies.

Resumee
Overall, the SB-4-class FAC is small warship of many uses, many possibilities and purposes. It can be used to control rivers and close-to-shore areas of oceans, but it isn't fit for high seas.
With the range limits in place, the SB-4-class FAC is an excellent addition to any fleet.

3.5. Space Ships - Small and Auxillary Craft

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:06 pm

Space Ships - Small and Auxillary Craft

Small and Auxillary Craft are either small ships, fighter and bombers and the likes, or ships specifically designed for support purposes, like tankers and replenishment ships. Auxillary Craft are usually not intended for an active role in combat - Small Craft however usually is.
SÄ means Stahl-Äquivalent or steel-equivalent - however, an armour of, for example, 4cm SÄ doesn't mean, that the whole fighter is coated in 4cm thick steel plates. Rather, it has the same roughly equivalent protection against Anti-Armour fire, as a 4cm thick plate of steel would have. In what exactly the different products are coated is depending on which product is concerned.

Length: 11.455 metres
Width: 9.523 metres
Height: 2.616 metres (without landing gear)
Normal Speed: Mach 1.8
Maximum Speed: Mach 2.7 (Mach 2.5 in atmospheres)
Operating Time: 8 hours
Crew: 1
Armour: 4 cm SÄ, energy shielding
Armament: 2x light laser guns (40mm), 4 hardpoints
Usage: Space-Superiority Fighter
Landing Distance: 600-700 metres without arresting cable

The J-33 Illusion (J stands for Jäger, which means in this case Fighter) is the newest incarnation of the classical one-man fighter in service of the WVtgKdo. Put into service as XJ-33 in 2010, the J-33 is a proven and approved design.

What many pilots love about the J-33 is their balance of speed and maneuvreability, while also having firepower in form of two light laser guns, focal length 40 millimetres, and four hardpoints, which can be equipped with missiles, rockets, missile pods, rocket pods, additional fuel tanks and bombs. With that, the J-33 can also be used to attack much larger ships, up to capital ship size.
Also liked are the stealth properties, which make it harder for target sensors to detect the J-33, but not necessarily make it impossible.
Training in and for the J-33 is, except the natural physical requirements, relatively easy, which reduces the time for pilot training to around one and a half month of actual training, also with the help of simulators (around 180 hours) and training flights (around 48 hours).

What many pilots hate about the J-33 is the serious lack of protection (the 4 centimetres SÄ of 6th Generation Composite Armour lacks in the resistance against laser fire, but gets bonusses against shells, shrapnells and the likes), which had been tried to reinforce by adding a small energy shield generator, which offers some protection, but not as much as the pilots would like.

Maintaining the J-33 is loved and hated at the same time: Every part is easily accessable for the mechanics and relatively easy to be replaced (of course, changing the Nuclear Fusion Reactor is a little bit harder then changing the cushions on the pilot's seat), while at the same time, the very hull of the fighter tends to any form of damage very bad, be it from combat or from micro-meteorite strikes.
To ease up worries about them hitting something important, actual steel plates have been installed as addditional protection for the Cockpit, the life support systems and reactor, while the fuel tanks are self-sealing.

The sensors on the J-33 are impressive for a small craft, having a range of, in the standart version, which is offered here, 7,000 kilometres in space, making it possible for the J-33 to lock on targets and to identify them with the help of an onboard database (a basic version is delivered, but the costumer is responsible by him/herself to maintain and add the database him/herself) from a distance of 6,500 kilometres. The actual combat distance is much closer, but the 40mm light lasers enable the J-33 to attack a target from this distance (we don't recommend it).

The J-33 has an operating distance of, in space, of around one Light Second/around 300,000 kilometres and a combat distance of around 140,000 kilometres in space.
The J-33 is also capable of operating in atmospheres, but suffers from problems with the maneuvre engines and birds in the very same in there. The combat distance in atmospheres is limited to 40,000 kilometres.

All in all the J-33 is a solid and good fightercraft, putting an emphasis on speed and firepower, rather then on protection. A trained squadron of these fighters can be a threat to any foe.

Length: 15.000 metres
Width: 11.000 metres
Height: 2.802 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.25
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.75
Operating Time: 7 days
Crew: 2
Armour: 2dm SÄ
Armament: 2x 25cm Heavy Guns, 6 Anti-Fighter-Missiles
Usage: Heavy fighter, yawl, transport
Normal Takeof Weight: 32 tons
Maximum Takeof Weight: 46 tons
Landing Distance: 0 (repulsors)

Originally developed as a Heavy Fighter, shuttle, scout and atmosphere-orbit-transport, the K-7A is one of the oldest designs in service of WVtgKdo. With it's relatively small size and many different usages it will remain be in service for a long time.
However, it's role changed to that of a yawl for larger ships.

The K-7A has the maneuvreability of a stone thrown by a catapult and is far more devestating thanks to the two 25cm Heavy Gauss Guns and six hardpoints for Anti-Fighter-Missiles. Not much more can be fitted on the hardpoints and with a load of 150 shots per gun, the pilots have to aim very carefully.
Main usage today however is to transport stuff, for example small group of soldiers and scientists as well as a Supply Carrying System, from Point A to Point B and scout out planetary surfaces. The K-7A is not equipped with a Phase Jump Unit, limiting it's range heavily.
Refits and newer models incorporate improved sensors and finer sensors, especially in the aspect of planetary scanning.

Maintaining and learning to fly a K-7A is very easy and best done with the real thing.

Price:
Price for a group of five K-7A: 1 billion Lunar Silver

Length: 28,6 metres
Width: 9.3 metres
Height: 6.1 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.7
Maximum Speed: Mach 2
Operating Time: 10 days
Crew: 2
Armour: 4dm SÄ, energy shielding
Armament: 4x medium laser guns (forward), 1x point defense laser (aft), 2x Mark VII Torpedo Tubes

The larger, more heavily armed successor of the K-7A is small monster of a capital ship crusher, not giving much emphasis on speed or maneuvreability, but on pure and simple firepower.
Basically, the K-8A is a brick in space (with matching flyability), equipped with a thick composite armour, of which 1dm is actual tank-armour steel, and a relatively strong shield generator, equipped with four medium lasers (2x focal length 60mm, 2x focal length 80mm), an aft-mounted Point Defense Laser (focal length 10mm) and two Mark VII Torpedo Tubes, calibre 533mm.
A heavy armed flying fortress.

However, maintenance on the system often proofs to be quite difficult as especially the engine units are hard to reach and the Fusion Generator is buried deep in the innards of the Strike Fighter.

K-8A is also a bit more then a mere Strike Craft, since it also possesses a Phase Jump Unit, making it capable of a jump of 15 light years with a recharging and cooldown time of 22 minutes.
That, coupled with the long range sensors capable of detecting ships at a distance of 60 light years and the maximum operating time of ten days makes the K-8A to a formidable scout and forward spotter, as well as patrol craft. The K-8A doesn't have the room for any sanitary installations other then a toilet and a sink, so disease control after a ten day mission is a must.

Price:
Price for a group of five K-8A, plus one simulator and spare parts: 4 billion Lunar Silver

Length: 90.7 metres
Width: 11.1 metres
Height: 8.2 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.0
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.5
Operating Time: 5 days with troops

Armour: 4dm SÄ
Armament: 2x 13cm Double Barrel Turrets, 1x 50cm-Rapid-Fire Gun
Usage: Landing Ship, Shuttle
Load (max): 280 soldiers or 7 tanks

The Pfützenspringer (literally Puddle Jumper) is a so-called atmosphere striker, a kind of ship capable of entering and leaving atmospheres without many problems, while at the same time carrying troops back and forth. Basically, they are a "Landing Craft, Infantry - Space Version".
As such, they are more then just important, if one wants to conduct Space-Surface-Landings.

With their two 13cm Double Barrel Gauss Turrets and the larger 50cm Rapid Fire cousin (13cm and 50cm not being the calibres, but the length of the magnetic coils, in fact, both kinds of gun use 10mm diametre iron-tungsten-rods) they can provide limited fire support to the unloading troops - a maximum of two companies of infantry without vehicles or one company with vehicles or a platoon of tanks. They can also be reequipped to serve as Medevacs.
However, these fire support guns are only of very limited use for self-defense against enemy fighters and the likes, so escorts are mandatory.
Pfützenspringer Atmosphere Strikers aren't capable of Phase Jumps.

Usage: Tender, Shuttle
Load (max): 450 tons

This is a variation of the Pfützenspringer Atmosphere Striker, which is in fact capable of Phase Jumps (10 lightyears with 30 minutes recharging time), but isn't made for troop delivery, but for the services of a small tender and supply ships. They can transport a maximum of 450 tons of freight, but their armament is even more limited then on the Atmosphere Strikers.
They, too, can enter and leave atmospheres.

3.6. Space Ships - Screening and Escorts

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:06 pm

Space Ships - Screening and Escorts

This section of the catalogue is for escorts for both convois of merchant ships against enemy raiders and pirates as well as for capital ships. While Light Cruisers such as the Rapier-class can be used in direct fleet action for fire support, we strictly advise you not to use your screening ships as major combattants.
Their main role is to defend their charges, not to attack the enemy.
Many ships aare equipped with K-7As as Yawls, small ship's boats capable of doing several of the works their larger homes are not capable of - they are included in the prices.

We also offer something which we call "Technische Werfteinführung" (TWE, Technical Introction at the Shipyard), which is a procedure to let the future crew of the ship gradually be present while the ship is being built in order to introduce them to the different parts and each other, resulting in the ships being ready for deployment far faster.

Length: 91.5 meters
Width: 38.5 meters
Height: 10.1 meters
Normal Speed: Mach 1.4
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.95
Operating time: 9 months
Crew: 70
Armour: 11.2dm SÄ, energy shielding
Armaments: 3x double barrel laser guns, 2x Laser point defense systems, 2 Mark IV Torpedo Tubes, 2x yawls (not included)
Usage: Patrol, Trade Protection
Note: Enhanced Sensor Suit

The Tuche-class is the workhorse of the Order's Handelsschutzflotte, the fleet dedicated to the task of protecting the trade. These ships are small and maneuvreable, but lacking in protection and firepower of larger ships, especially if compared to other frigate-designs such as the Traugott-class (see below).
Their enhanced sensor suit, capable of detecting movements from 120 lightyears away and to detect nearly every cloaked ship (including most convoi raiders), make them ideal escorts and trade protectors. Together with the targetting computers, wired directly to the sensors, the combat against small targets becomes much easier.
Thanks to the Mark IV Torpedo Tubes, the Tuche-class can also engage larger ships and especially installations such as asteroid bases.

As for a Phase Jump Unit, the Tuche-class is capable to jump over a distance of 20 light years with a recharging time of 26 minutes.

Sensors
Wagner-Müller WM-33 Short Range Sensor System

Armamaent
150mm LK C/13 Double Barrel Laser Gun
The Medium 150mm LK C/13 Double Barrel Laser Gun is the main armament of the Tuche-class. With its focal length of 150mm on each gun, they are capable of attacking other frigate-sized targets and, if several concentrate fire, can attack a destroyer effectively.
With an effective combat range of up to 10,000 kilometres, these guns are especially powerful when fighting at much closer range, like all laser guns. This distinctive disadvantage over for example Gauss-Weaponry is balanced out by not needing to carry any ammunition other then energy, which is produced of the plenty by the main reactor.
The gun system converts this energy into photons and then releases them towards the lenses, which focus them on the target, making a steady stream of highly accelerated, concentrated photons travelling at light speed. These energy lances are capable of burning through most armours and equipments.

The 150mm LK C/13 Double Barrel Laser Gun can not be purchased independently.

Schäfer Laser-Kurzstreckenverteidigungssystem (Laser Close Range Defensive System)
The Schäfer Laser Close Range Defensive System (Schäfer means shepherd) is the newest close-in weapon system in service. It is basically the same system, which is used onboard the SB-4-class FAC, only connected to the Tuche-class' Wagner-Müller WM-33 Short Range Sensor System. Addtionally, the range of these system rises in space from mere 8,000 metres to around 50 kilometres.
It permits these ships to effectively defend themselves against almost all enemy missiles and attacking small craft with relative ease, making it hard and difficult to overwhelm these systems with a missile massacre in no relation to size and capability of the Tuche-class.

Price:
Price for one Tuche-class Patrol Frigate including TWE: 850 million Lunar Silver
Price for one Tuche-class Patrol Frigate without TWE: 800 million Lunar Silver

Length: 150.5 metres
Width: 24.2 metres
Height: 15 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.1
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.9
Operating Time: 9 months
Crew: 70 + 300 passengers
Armour: 15dm SÄ, energy shielding
Armament: 8x double barrel laser guns, 4x Laser Point Defense Systems
Usage: Protecting the fleet

The Traugott-class Frigate is the smallest among the regular warships of WVtgKdo, known for it's own safety and for the provided safety, which is nearly unmatched among the escort ships of the Order.
Capable of very limited atmospheric flight, unique among the larger ships of WVtgKdo, these ships can provide direct fire support for ground troops and can deliver two companies of them all by themselves. We however advise strongly against using these ships as troop transports, since their main uage is intended to be protecting larger own units, such as carriers or even battleships.

With it's point defense systems and laser guns, it can effectively fight against many targets of their own and smaller size, while armour and shields provide protection against larger opponents, but not the necessary firepower to effectively take them on. The Traugot-class can also intercept missiles aimed at them or their charges.

Price:
Price for one Traugott-class Frigate including TWE: 1.05 billion Lunar Silver
Price for one Traugott-class Frigate without TWE: 1 billion Lunar Silver

Length: 229.5 metres
Width: 59.35 metres
Height: 38 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.0
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.9
Operating Time: 9 months
Crew: 300
Armour: 22.5dm SÄ, energy shielding
Armament: 1 Heavy Laser Gun, 4x double barrel laser guns, 4x Laser Point Defense Systems, 4x Mark VI Torpedo Tubes, 2x mine rails
Usage: Protecting the fleet, fleet action
Note: Enhanced Sensor Suits

What the Tuche-class is for convois, the Franz-class Destroyers are for the regular fleet: Escorts, all seeing eyes and protectors, but with one major difference: These destroyers are the smallest ships of WVtgKdo capable of independent operations and of engaging capital ships relatively effectively.
With their heavy laser and four Mark VI torpedo tubes (tree forward, one aft), Franz-class Destroyers are formidable opponents to cruisers, while, thanks to their point defense lasers and double barrel turrets, at the same time being an escort against most small targets.

The enhanced sensor suit, a larger scale model of the one installed in the Tuche-class, enables the destroyer to act as a scout ship with a sensor range of 200 light years and the capability of detecting cloaked movement from around 60 lightyeaars away. Also installed are several basic scientific installlations like an Astrometric Lab, Medical Lab capable of analysing and maybe even curing unknown deseases and a Geologic Lab, enabling these ships to also act as Colony-Scouts and support ships.
However, the Franz-class has docking ports for, but in and of itself lacks yawls, so support by a ship carrying some is mandatory.

Major downside are the high upkeep-costs for a ship of that size and classification, not only due to the support role.

Price:
Price for one Franz-class Destroyer including TWE: 5 billion Lunar Silver
Price for one Franz-class Destroyer without TWE: 4.9 billion Lunar Silver

Length: 229.5 metres
Width: 59.35 metres
Height: 38 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.1
Maximum Speed: Mach 2.2
Operating Time: 7 months
Crew: 300
Armour: 20.5dm SÄ, energy shielding
Armament: 6x double barrel laser guns, 8x Laser Point Defense Systems, 6x Mark VI Torpedo Tubes, 4x mine rails
Usage: Protecting the fleet, electronic warfare, fleet action
Note: Enhanced ECM and E-ECM suits

While the Franz-class Destroyers are the screening ships capable of attacking the enemy directly, the Georg-class Destroyers, a subtype, are the variation capable of electronic warfare while guarding the important parts of the fleet. They are by no means incapable of facing a capital ship (thanks to the six Mark VI Torpedo Tubes, three forward, two aft, one turreted), but are better used as ships for indirect warfare.
Mines and ECM, as well as E-ECM ("Counter-ECM"), enable the Georg-class to attack the enemy unseen, maybe even undetected, while in fleet operations providing the necessary means to irritate the enemy and to draw advantages from that.

These ships are deadly and powerful without the firepower of a battleship - it would be wise to have such ships in a fleet.

Price:
Price for one Georg-class Destroyer including TWE: 6 billion Lunar Silver
Price for one Georg-class Destroyer without TWE: 5.5 billion Lunar Silver

Length: 214.3 metres
Width: 38.1 metres
Height: 55.3 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.0
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.9
Operating Time: 9 months
Crew: 385 men
Armour: 25dm SÄ, energy shielding
Armament: 15x point defense lasers, 4x medium double barrel laser turrets, 4x mine rails, 4x Mark VI-B Torpedo Tubes, 1x Plasma Gun, 2x shuttles (not included)
Usage: Close Space Support, Flagship-service, reconaissance, convoi hunting, defense of larger units, fleet action

Rapier-class Light Cruisers are fast, agile, and strong ships more then capable of taking on ships thrice their size. However, their main role isn't taking on other capital ships, but escorting own, heavier cruisers and providing them with fire suppport.
In this role, Rapiers can be used as convoi hunters (we do not recommend using the torpedoes or the plasma gun on freighters, it tends to end messy), for reconaissance, as flagships, mine-layers and even for close space support (a.k.a. orbital precision bombardment).
These ships have enough firepower to conduct Base Delta Zero missions, which we do not recommend.

The Rapier-class is also equipped with a Plasma Gun, firing a ball of super-heated, super-energized and therefore super-dangerous plasma at a target. Due to it's firepower, ships many, many times the size of one of these cruisers can get into real trouble and fired on a planet's surface can ignite the very air in a diametre of several hundred kilometres around the point of impact.
However, it takes really long to reload and it costs much energy to do so (keeping it loaded however is very cheap), because the ions, which will be super-heated and energized are taken out of the ship's own breathed air.

Price:
Price for one Rapier-class Light Cruiser including TWE: 55 billion Lunar Silver
Price for one Rapier-class Light Cruiser without TWE: 54 billion Lunar Silver

3.7. Space Ships - Capital Ships

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:23 pm

Space Ships - Capital Ships

Capital Ships are the heavy hitters, the major combattants, the thing you don't want to face alone sitting in your cute little tin punt or at a planet's surface, because these ships can - and will - bomb you from orbit if it is needed.
Not only that, but these ships are the biggest providers of firepower in any good organized fleet and therefore are the centre of action in fleet combat.
Many of these ships can be equipped with yawls and, in case of carriers, with fighters, bombers and ships of similar kind and usage. The prices, in case of carriers, with said yawls, but without fighters, bombers and the likes ("fighter sized" means around the size of a J-33 as a reference point, but most carriers are quite modular in their layout). These have to be purchased independently.

Length: 215.25 metres
Width: 30.5 metres
Height: 20.1 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 0.75
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.1
Operating Time: 12 months
Crew: 1,021 men
Armour: 20dm SÄ, energy shields
Armament: 8x point defense lasers, 6x shuttles (not included), additional space for up to 24 small craft (not included)
Usage: Anti-Convoi-Hunter-Warfare, Fighter Support

The Kristallinsel-class Light Carrier is one of the smallest capital ships in use of WVtgKdo, and one of the most important. They aren't heavily armed or have the thickest armour, but they carry fighters and other small craft, practically a small, mobile Fighter Support Station.
These small craft can also include Atmosphere Strikers.

The most important function of the Kristallinsel-class is in these small craft, which can be used as escorts or strike craft or as simple scouts - combined with escorts and a chaarge, these ships can form an integral part of the screening force of any fleet or of their trade protection.
For themselves, these ships are barely capable of defending themselves, so escorts are mandatory.

Price:
Price for one Kristallinsel-class Light Carrier including TWE: 25 billion Lunar Silver
Price for one Kristallinsel-class Light Carrier without TWE: 24 billion Lunar Silver

Length: 464.4 metres
Width: 316.7 metres

Armour: 47.5dm metres SÄ, Energy Shielding
Armament: 12x Point defense lasers, 6x medium laser turrets, 15x Mark VIII Torpedo launchers
Complement: 4x shuttles (not included)

Need something most definately killed? Call a Weißmöwe.
With their fifteen Mark VIII torpedo launchers they are more then a mere threat to capital ships and installations (like starbases) and they can withstand much firepower, but their capabilities in self-defense are very limited.
Furthermore, the are "like a flying pig with rocket thrusters in his rear end: loud, noisy, can't be steered and fast looks different, too" (to quote Captain Schneider, ORS Weißmöwe's Captain).

Armour: 40.5 dm SÄ, Energy Shielding
Armament: 4x Heavy Lasers in two turrets, 4x 320 Millimetres Gauss Main Guns in two turrets, 26x Point Defense Laser Turrets, 10x Mark VI Torpedo Tubes, 4x shuttles (not included), 24x fighter-size small craft (not included)
Usage: Close Space Support, flagship, reconaissance, convoi hunting

The Rufa-class Battlecruiser is not a typical battlecruiser.
Usually battlecruiser are built to attack battleships with the speed of a cruiser, the firepower of a battleships and zero to none protection. The Rufa-class however has a cruiser's speed, a small battleship's worth of firepower and a protection, which would make some battleships envious.
Mainly built as a skirmisher and supporter, these ships are also capable of engaging other capital ships, not only thanks to the onboard fighter contingent, but also with the ten Mark VI Torpedo Tubes and two heavy laser turrets.

They however still need an escort against smaller ships and small craft, since their own defensive capabilities against such are limited.

Price:
Price for one Rufa-class battlecruiser including TWE: 150 billion Lunar Silver
Price for one Rufa-class battlecruiser without TWE: 149 billion Lunar Silver

Note: In the section about Experimental Equipment and Prototypes is a version of the Rufa-class battlecruiser equipped with an Experimental A.I. core, called Rusty-Type Refit.

Type: Fleet Carrier

Width: 269 metres
Height: 100 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1
Maximum Speed: Mach 1.4
Operating Time: eight months

Armament: 10x heavy laser guns (in double turrets), 30x medium laser double turrets, 150x point defense lasers, 144x fighter sized small craft (not included), 36x shuttles (not included)
Usage: Fighter Support, flagship, orbital command and control for ground forces, convoi hunting, close space support

The Erzengel-class is the newest among the large capital ships of WVtgKdo, being a self-protecting platform of firepower and more firepower. The large fleet carriers are neither very fast nor maneuvreable (in fact, Captain Schneider's words about the Weißmöwe-class apply tripled to the Erzengel-class), but they don't need to be, since their own armament and small craft can hinder many enemy ships in their advances, even of their own size.
However, we recommend not sending such a fleet carrier into combat without escorts and only if no other option is available, since the two flight decks are extremely vulnerable to enemy fire once the hangar doors are opened.

Other then that, the Erzengel-class is the ultimate command and control post one could even begin to imagine, for both ground and space forces. Their fighter support is also very valuable against a multitude of targets.

3.8. Additional Equipment

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:48 pm

Additional Equipment

STANAG 4569: Level 2, Kinetic
Weight: 14.6 kilograms
Components: Padded Overall, cuirass (including a back plate), faulds, greaves, armoured boots, gauntlets, a codpiece, rerebraces and helmet.
Price per 150 suits: 3,000,000 Lunar Silver (20,000 LS per suit)

In and of itself, it looks much like a suit of normal suit of armour, the top layer made of Aramid. Below that, a sandwich-structured composite of ceramic and polyethylene plates takes effect against anything penetrating the first layer. Third layer is a thin layer of light steel. The whole armour is underfitted with a padded overall, fireproofed as well as safe against knives and waterproofed. Clamps on the back of the cuirass make it easier to carry backpacks and equipment, as do hooks and clips on the front side.
The armour grants nearly the same freedom of movement as walking around naked. The only hindrance is it's weight of nearly 15 kilograms.

The helmet is a system in and of itself: Looking much like a pot helmet, it is fitted with a HUD, connected to sensors in the armour (effective range for the standart version 15 metres of open field), a small database of weaknesses of the most common enemy armoured vehicles and other things to be encountered as well as of the most common edible things in the multiverse, an integrated gas mask, an integrated radio with the possibility to connect to space ships in higher orbit (around 50,000 kilometres via direct connection) and a corresponding real-time GPS-system.
Navigation and control of the HUD is either done by eye-command or a control pad in the bracer.

Unlike many of it's derivatives, the Ritter Heavy Infantry Combat Armour Model 5 isn't fitted for zero-atmosphere-environments (a.k.a. space).

3.9. Experimental Equipment and Prototypes

Postby The Order of the Teutonic Knights » Fri Jan 03, 2014 2:48 pm

Experimental Equipment and Prototypes

This section of the catalogue includes all the things, which are not quite there for regular deployment, but of which we think are safe for selling and additional testing. These products are only available for the closest of friends to the Order.
Some of these still have small kinks, which need to be ironed out.

Length: 214.3 metres
Width: 77.1 metres
Height: 50.5 metres
Normal Speed: Mach 1.05
Maximum Speed: Mach 2.54
Operating Time: 12 months
Crew: 300 men
Armour: 40.5 dm SÄ, Energy Shielding
Armament: 4x Heavy Lasers in two turrets, 4x 320 Millimetres Gauss Main Guns in two turrets, 26x Point Defense Laser Turrets, 10x Mark VI Torpedo Tubes, 4x Pfützenspringer Atmosphere Striker, 24x fighter-size small craft
Usage: Close Space Support, flagship, reconaissance, convoi hunting

Basically, this is a Rufa-class Battlecruiser, refitted with an experimental A.I. core of the Rusty-Type. This A.I. speeds up the computer processes of the ship by directing and ordering them, as well as by other means enhancing the productivity of the systems.
Rusty, the A.I. of ORS Rustry, has yet to show tendencies on taking over and rebelling, but we are quite sure, that she won't - we however recommend not to treat the A.I. like a computer, she is a feeling and intelligent being. Captain del Campo (ORS Rusty's Captain) reports however, that Rusty was not charmed by him.

Price:
Price for one Rusty-Type Refit inclusing TWE: 175 billion Lunar Silver

To: The Apple-Loosan Army, corresponding department
From: Referat für Rüstungsexport, Gesellschaft für Außenwirtschaft

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
we at RfR are very happy to greet you as our first customers. The order is accepted and will be executed.
Your order of one Rufa-class Battlecruiser including TWE (150 billion Lunar Silver), 15 K-8A Strike Fighters (12 billion Lunar Silver) and one Franz-class Destroyer including TWE (5 billion Lunar Silver) make a total of 167 billion Lunar Silver without discounts.
Since Apple-Loosa is member-state of the New Lunar Republic and valued ally to the Order, the discount of 20 percent applies here, too, reducing the price to 133.6 billion Lunar Silver to be paid at delivery.

As we speak, the larger ships are laid down with the pennant shipyard numbers SKr-E-001 for the battlecruiser (launch set for 1st of January 2015) and Z-E-001 (launch set for 1st of August 2014) for the Destroyer. We expect the arrival of the first future crewmembers at the Selene-Shipyards in two weeks time (if you want, we can provide a transport free of charge).
The Strike Fighters can be delivered immediately to any location of your choosing.

We, once again, thank you very much for your order and wish you a good day.

Signed,
Harald Weißmacher,
Director of the Referat für Rüstungsexport, Gesellschaft für Außenwirtschaft

P.S.: I thank you very much for your kind words about the presentation of this catalogue.
