... and the Lords immediately pull of the upset of the season! The White Diamonds, arguably the best team in the league, lose by 17 points! This does fit into the long tradition of the regular season champion often losing in the first game of the playoffs, and only rarely make it to the finals altogether. Actually, did you know it has been 5 seasons (including this one) that the regular season champion won the playoffs as well? The Elves also do a weird thing, eliminating the Giants. The Sapphires do win as higher regular season team, and the Westerners and the Tazers needed overtime to decide. And even then, it was very, very close.

The Lords do it again! The Tazers, who had done so well in a long and exhausting game against the Westerners, are out in favor of the surprise of the season. Another season ended for the players of these 16 teams, one that they had to wait on for a long time. The Koryans, from the currently disfunctional Democratic Republic of United Koryo, still do well but clearly suffer (and consequently finish one spot lower than last season). Their ages are still going up, and with no new talent their team might drop a lot faster in the coming seasons. Othushun State confirmed their new status, getting their second title in a row. The only two other teams that ever won the title finished in second and third: this league has a while to go before they reach the status of for instance the Gridiron league, which has some parity programs in place. Nevertheless, funds are still going down for these teams: a result of their long periods between seasons, or a sign that other sports are simply getting more popular? Field hockey is definitely one of these sports, but maybe some teams could consider relocating to a region where ice hockey is more popular. Only the Astronauts are rising in the financial sense, and the teams from the bigger cities are stagnating, but teams like the Internationals, Lions and Blizzards are suffering.

If more than just a handful universities want to compete for the prizes, they really need to attract more players. Scholarships based purely on sports are unheard of in Ko-oren, but surely there are many talented players that live close to one of the university cities? The Western teams could also join together to finally get a team in the top 4. Otherwise, the only teams that are rising on the list are those that attracted talented players from outside of universities (you do not have to be a student to play, obviously!), and some of these are already composed of late 20-year-olds and 30-somethings for 50% or more.

The Union teams seem to have a bit of an identity crisis. While Cassiopeia, Lyra and the other usual suspects end up in Seasogs, all teams are slowly but surely creeping towards each other. Seventy-two points for the champion is a 5-season low, and then see that Aquila, with 59 points, is third. Only three wins and a draw would have gotten Phoenix in their place! The Coronas are still in the last two places, after they had done so well last season to move up on the ladder. The Coronas are usually in the last two or three spots, but Australis made it to fifth place, just outside of the Seasogs, last time. There is still some work to be done for both teams, as they are 14 and 16 points behind. For the rest, the league seems more and more open, though the same four teams qualify for the international competition. Monoceros has been absent from that for a while, but let's say it's all part of the identity crisis. Will we see that in a few years, a completely new group of teams is in the lead?

Green teams to Seasogs: Lyra, Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Aquila.

Lyra, taking their 6th championship, have finally overtaken the other historical powerhouse: Vulpecula. The latter even came short of Seasogs by one point, which will destroy their current rankings in the international competition. In their place, Andromeda have completed their way up. Aquila has been doing well and deserve another qualification. Vulpecula and Monoceros, and to a lesser extent Phoenix, have some work to do in order to get back to the place they once were at.

Both Coronas are still firmly at the bottom despite each season they seem to improve more than the other teams. Cygnus is then the only unmentioned team, and they might as well be the most average team in the league. Almost always short of Seasogs, but always so close to it.

The fourth Rugby League season sees Sympetrum again qualify. Epiprocta, on the other hand, stood out most and took the championship - for the first time in their history. Sympetrum came close, but it was not enough to seize the 3rd championship. Anisoptera were off by 4 points, but they had the superior PD. Trithemis, never qualified for the IRLCC, is the best of the rest (8 points behind Anisoptera). Tonbo, Anax and Orthetrum are mid-table, with Anax falling dramatically from their championship last season. Aeshna, Odonata and Libellula are last, having less than half the points of champions Epiprocta.

Baseball, Season 13

National League
Same procedure as last season: 108 match conference (12 rounds), then the teams ranked 10th through 5th play the team with the same ranking in the other conference. The top 4 of each conference qualifies for the playoffs, with 1v4 and 2v3. The 4 in the semifinals qualify for the next BCCC. Seeding in BCCC depends on result: final winner is first, final loser is second, least losing team in semifinals is third, worst losing team semifinals is fourth. All series are best of three, except for the final, which is best of 5.

The top eight teams go to the playoffs (8v1, 7v2, 6v3, 5v4) and the final two teams play a best of 7 championship round. The Blizzards made the first eight for the first time, which means their move to Safurung (where also the Blues play) paid off after one season. The Silvers and the Capitals have bigger problems than ever, now all of the teams that used to surround them moved and improved. The Bears and Eagles relocated, but are still in the bottom of the league. The White Diamonds finished first by six wins, the Blues are second but the only thing they get from that is a protected playoff status. The Westerners and the Blizzards are happy with their rare playoff spots, but they have to take on the White Diamonds and the Blues.

We finally have an Elves-Tazers final! The two teams from the west defy all logic and eliminate all eight teams (that's 50% of the league) to reach the final together. The biggest rivals of the league, the Elves and the Tazers go way back, though they've never met in a final. The Tazers get rid of the White Diamonds with a 100 score, the Elves sneak past the surprising Westerners.

Green teams to Seasogs: Aquila, Cassiopeia, Vulpecula, Lyra

Both Corona's stop just 5 to 9 points short of Seasogs. The two teams have never qualified for the competition, let alone rank in the top five of the league. Andromeda's team crashed down on itself, now the Corona's vacated the 9th and 10th place. Andromeda got to Seasogs last season. Monoceros is the other team that seriously need to reconsider what it is doing, with a 9th place. All around, the league's parity increased significantly since the draft system was implemented. All apart from the top three finished close together, and even Lyra isn't safe anymore.

Right as Sympetrum are the top team of the world, they forget to get two more victories to make it to the IRLCC again. Talking about Sympetrum: they're the champions! Not of the league, of the IRLCC! Two consecutive finals, and now a trophy! Sadly this did not get them any respect with the rest of the teams. Anisoptera finished last by two victories and two draws, so they have some work to do (especially since they qualified for the IRLCC two seasons ago).

The team of Koryo was moved in its entirety to Alara, renamed to the Alara Avalanches. Half of the Koryo players are still on the team's roster, making it the only team to regularly play without any Ko-orenites at all, or even with a majority of foreigners on the ice. The Scouts profited from all of the downspiralling of other teams, winning the championship.
