SJG Venue Bid for the final of Cygnus Cup

Postby San Jose Guayabal » Mon Sep 16, 2013 6:23 pm

San José Guayabal (SJG) final site bid
Cygnus Cup: Estadio Nacional Vladivostok-Alianza (capacity 175,000)
The Estadio Nacional or known as "The Revolution Avenue Coliseum" was built in 2012 exclusively for football/soccer games , is the home of the current champion of the Premier League SJG, Alianza F.C. and is also the home of the University of San Jose Guayabal. It is the largest stadium in all SJG, note that has a good record in terms of emergency evacuations, as the stadium can be emptied in just three minutes with operational crews police and multiple exits for emergency, by that reason is a Five stars Security Stadium. The stadium has 4 giant full-color screens, one on each side, bars, restaurants, bathrooms, gym, chapel, halftime entertainment and even a hotel next to the stadium.

The Heritage cup returns for a historical 10th edition, coindicing with the 50th Champions' Cup. This time, an unprecedented number of organizations have taken part, thanks to the addition of the N.U.S.S., Barastuja, Cloud Spires and Tiki Lodge to the ranks, along with the return of Midlothian Heart and Saint Anne and Jacob to the fold. The reformed A-League will try to show they're as good as last time, when Jacobine Athletic (today rebranded as Western Heights) won the championship in spectacular fashion, but now the competition is much stiffer. Meanwhile, teams like Voley, Armée and Bunda Juniors are trying to use their international experience to their advantage; national powerhouses like Scrap Brain, Monsteropolis Skulls and McDuck Football look out to an outlier's performance; and beginners like Arsenal Rbynoye, Camisa FC and Apostles of Raptor Jesus will face their first trial by fire. Let's see who gets their way, on Heritage Cup number ten!

Congratulations to FC Modaguesque, the third team from Kitsunia-Déesse to win the Heritage Cup! With four titles, the country is by far the most sucessful in the competition, and they won three of the last four editions. Congratulations as well to Lylat Starfox for their first silver medal and Monsteropolis Skulls for their second semi-finals appearance. The top scorer for the tournament was David Anita, from União Ahly, with 16 goals, and will bring home the customary prize in Lord Granas Gold Bars Worth More Than Money(tm).

The first edition of the Farf Freitball Invitattha (Farf Football Invitational) has finally arrived! Sponsored by eksemplar, the invitational is one of many projects started by the FFFF without any visible objective whatsoever. The amount of money wasted was similar to that of building La Fantás, which costed, well, a lot (the FFFF isn't exactly sure because they lost the paper with the calculations). How the budget was wasted is somewhat of a mystery, considering all the teams accepted to come for a fairly low amount of money, with teams Jungle Strike even saying they were willing to partake just to win another trophy. The criteria for teams invited was a drawing of lots, amazingly enough, all the teams ended up fitting into the category "has something to do with Farfadillis". The rest of the money was used for varied reasons such as "Eating at the most expensive restaurant in Farfadillis makes me think better", "I like burning things, and I didn't notice all the numbers in those papers" and "I couldn't find any toilet paper". The government, which provided the money, accepted the reasons without any qualms. Without any doubts, the organization of this invitational is unmatched... luckily.

The Teams

Image

The Format

The FFFF decided that the most sensible thing to do would be to have four groups, one with five teams, two with two and another one with three. However, when they began organizing the whole thing, somehow the papers got mixed up and in the end there were four groups of three and they didn't even notice. They also accidentally copied the AFI in terms of what happens after the groups.

The Draw

The FFFF decided that the most sensible way to make the groups as random as possible was to use the tried and tested dowsing method, but with 1,000 Feardallis bills. The method proved useless and so the FFFF decided it was better to just make them deliberately. The pots were pretty simple: Farf teams, non-CC-winning UICA associations and CC-winning UICA associations. After some more paper-burning that could've gone to charity, some shots and a few casualties (because it really couldn't have been any other way), the groups were the following:

GROUP A: Avenida Victoria, Falourr, FK Oyardo
GROUP B: Mâ Âlâmëómë, Gwinevra Barbarians, Neuville Scythers
GROUP C: Avenida Principal, Iturributa United, Red Star Severny
GROUP D: La Nueva Avenida, Nostromo Meteorites, Jungle Strike FC

The Groups

Group A

Falourr 1-2 FK Oyardo
Grant 12' vs Defederico 34' Berriex 88'

Oyardo and Falourr kick off the tournament with an exciting match, decided by a counterattack in the eighty-eigth minute. Tony Grant became the first person to score a goal in the FFI after heading in a corner. However, Defederico, the Sargossan, would equalize with a long-range effort which bounced off Adam Kemp and left the goalkeeper diving to the other side like an idiot.

FK Oyardo 1-1 Avenida Victoria
Holtzmann 44' vs Østergård 20'

Oyardo officially leaves Falourr with no chances of winning the invitational, but now no longer depends on themselves as Avenida Victoria may qualify by defeating Falourr by something better than 2-1. Østergård gave the Victorians the lead momentarily by dribbling Holtzmann twice before slotting the ball in with a soft shot. However, Holtzmann would have his revenge after Mêndêlöíndçêl left him on a one-on-one in an all-out attack. Holtzmann then dribbled Basurto and equalized. The game would see no more goals.

Avenida Victoria 0-2 Falourr
Elevado 22' and 78'

In truly Murphy fashion, Elevado, brought up by Avenida Victoria's youth system and sold to Falourr, scores two headers to leave Avenida Victoria at the very bottom of Group A. Elevado followed the rules and didn't celebrate any of his two goals. He's really unlikely to score any more goals considering he's a defensive midfielder, however.

Group B

Gwinevra Barbarians 0-0 Neuville Scythers
No Scorers

The Barbarians and the Scythers hold each other to a boring tie, becoming the first teams to play a boring game in the FFI. There wasn't really much to highlight, except maybe that there was a terribly named player (Pocarrontas) playing for Neuville Scythers. Poor guy.

Neuville Scythers 2-3 Mâ Âlâmëómë
Pocarrontas 10' and 70' vs Fôx 20' Shrike 56' Pickton 80'

Now that's fun. Five goals. The already mentioned terribly-named player Pocarrontas managed to shock Mâ Âlâmëómë by scoring a header in just the tenth minute, giving the Scythers the lead. However, Hân Fôx would have other plans, equalizing after a lucky rebound. Anna Shrike, New Sideburn's international, would give Mâ Âlâmëómë the lead with a neat long-range effort. Pocarrontas would equalize again fourteen minutes later scoring from the penalty mark before Pickton gave Mâ Âlâmëómë the final lead from a free kick, his specialty.

Mâ Âlâmëómë 4-1 Gwinevra Barbarians
Einarsson 22' Coss 56' Pickton 70' and 82' vs Tenian 20'

Another five goals! Mâ Âlâmëómë manages to qualify to the group winners' bracket by thrashing the Barbarians with class. Tenian would surprise Mâ Âlâmëómë, just like Pocarrontas did, in the twentieth minute with a great shot over the goalkeeper. However, Einarsson would soon equalize, just two minute later, after dribbling both Barbarian defenders and shooting to the left post. Great showing by the captain. Coss would score from a header in the second half to give Mâ Âlâmëómë the lead. Pickton would rampage after that, scoring two free kicks and sealing the deal for the Rulandese team.

Group C

Iturributa United 1-0 Red Star Severny
Richard 78'

Iturributa United wins the most difficult match of the group, and the one the most likely to determine the group winner. Elwyn Richard, the Aelsh veteran, entered the pitch in the seventieth and scored the winning goal soon after. The game itself was pretty boring, though. Pesky Polarians...

Red Star Severny 2-2 Avenida Principal
Descoteaux 11' and 32' vs Esparrabuarte 20' Fakkotti 40'

And that's Red Star's fate sealed. This tie against the Knights leaves them with no shots at the trophy, and so they will have to wait and see if they get second or third place in the group. Descoteaux, the Saugeain striker, scored twice for Severny, but it wasn't enough as Esparrabuarte and Fakkotti leveled things.

Avenida Principal 0-2 Iturributa United
Kulikov 56' Roga 76'

Red Star now has some consolation, as they get the second place by goal difference. Kulikov, the Mytanar midfielder, scored a long-range effort in the first minutes of the second half, and the Farf international Nauzeau Roga scored a second goal, by virtue of a lucky rebound, which now means Avenida Principal sits at the lowest place of the group.

Standings

Image

Group D

Nostromo Meteorites 0-2 Jungle Strike FC
Gadois 75' Makakio 87'

Strike shows why they're the biggest candidates for the trophy by defeating the Meteorites without much difficulty, with a volley by Gadois just before the players started to become desperate, and with another goal by Makakio after catching a rebound from a long-range effort by Dandalleion.

Jungle Strike FC 0-0 La Nueva Avenida
No Scorers

La Nueva Avenida stuns Strike by getting a valuable 0-0 tie, albeit really boring. It's pretty weird to find La Nueva Avenida without scoring or conceding goals, and it's not like they didn't try. Sometimes it seemed like the ball just didn't want to get in. Strike now has to wait and see if La Nueva Avenida manages the unlikeliest of results: winning the group.

La Nueva Avenida 1-1 Nostromo Meteorites
Fuego 52' vs Wii-Tzaara 34'

And the Novans "fail". They didn't fail really, they ended exactly where they aimed to end: second. However, having depended on themselves the whole time might've been a bit of a downer. Wii-Tzaara, who once played for La Nueva Avenida and was even crowned champion, scored against them when the first half wasn't far from ending. Lorenzo Fuego equalized shortly after the second half began by dribbling both Nostroman defenders and shooting strongly to the right post. The game was exactly what Jungle Strike wanted.

The Knock-Out Stage

Losers' Bracket

Semifinals

Avenida Victoria 1-0 Gwinevra Barbarians
Juárez 40'

A goal by Avenida Victoria's striker, ex Farf international, Fermín Juárez allows Avenida Victoria to not be the worst team of the invitational, props to them. The Barbarians continue to let down the people who were expecting them to be, at the very least, in the group winners' bracket.

Avenida Principal 0-1 Nostromo Meteorites
Davies 74'

Davies scores the only goal of the game and helps the Meteorites avoid the humiliating position of worst team of the invitational just as Avenida Victoria did. The goal itself was pretty controversial, as many argue it was an offside. Truth is, the cameraman was shot during the game so there's no proof.

Fuck-off

Avenida Principal 1-3 Gwinevra Barbarians
Esparrabuarte 80' vs Tenian 70' 77' and 79'

And that's called a Tenian rampage. In the first edition of the Fuck-off, the Barbarians manage to win their first game in the invitational (although they did manage to tie with the Scythers) after Tenian scored a hat trick in less than ten minutes. The game was pretty boring during the first hour and ten minutes, but three headers by Tenian and a goal by Esparrabuarte just one minute after Tenian's third spiced it up a bit. However, there would be no more goals after those exciting few minutes.

Losers' Final

Avenida Victoria 2-0 Nostromo Meteorites
Marino 16' and 80'

Avenida Victoria win the Losers' Final thanks to two marvelous free kicks by their veteran player Américo Marino, who was once a Farf international, though he just got to play in one game. The Meteorites fail to escape the losers' podium, but escaping it doesn't mean much either way, really.

Average Teams-Who-Nobody-Cares-About's Bracket

Semifinals

Falourr 1-0 Neuville Scythers
Tykeman 64'

Falourr gets to avoid the kind-off by defeating the Scythers with a penalty kick scored by Tykeman in the second half. This means Falourr has done pretty well for a middling Euran team, and, well, who knows, they might be onto something next season.

Red Star Severny 2-1 La Nueva Avenida
Descoteaux 20' Faró 80' vs Kemp 78'

Descoteaux continues his goal rampage by scoring against the Novans. Jacques Kemp's goal momentarily equalized the game but Faró had other plans and just two minutes later gave Red Star the lead by heading in a fantastic cross from a corner.

Kind-off

Neuville Scythers 2-1 La Nueva Avenida
Frêndê 20' Pocarrontas 75' vs Z. Jansen 60'

The Scythers manage to beat La Nueva Avenida by one goal after the Novans equalized with a goal scored by Zonnestraal Jansen, the two-times world champion. Frêndê scored in the twentieth minutes a lethal creeping shot from outside the box, while Pocarrontas gave the Scythers the lead once again from the penalty spot.
Average Teams-Who-Nobody-Cares-About's Final

Falourr 0-3 Red Star Severny
Descoteaux 22', 80' and 82'

Or maybe Falourr just got lucky! Red Star Severny's striker Descoteaux manages the very difficult feat of scoring in all the games of his teams this invitational, except for the one against Iturributa United. Two of the three he scored against Falourr came late, however, and one could argue that the scoreline lies a bit, but there's no doubt in anyone's mind that Severny was the better team.

Group Winners' Bracket

Semifinals

FK Oyardo 2-1 Mâ Âlâmëómë
Mêndêlöíndçêl 22' Defederico 80' vs Millson 40'

The Willows stun every Farf out there by unexpectedly defeating Mâ Âlâmëómë thanks to a late goal by Defederico. No other than Mêndêlöíndçêl opened the score in the twenty-second minute, becoming yet another player to score for his ex-team this invitational, with a fantastic volley from the edge of the box. However, Millson, the Euran defender who has been loaned to Mâ Âlâmëómë for another year, equalized when the first half was fading. The last goal scored, as said, by Defederico wasn't exactly classy, but little does it matter, they're in the final now.

Iturributa United 1-2 Jungle Strike FC
Etchaleku 10' vs Dandalleion 70' and 75'

Jungle Strike manages to defeat Iturributa United in what was probably the most awaited match of the invitational. The semifinal pitched two world giants against each other to see who would win, and it would be the Venom in the end. However, things started a bit bleak for Strike, as Etchaleku managed to score by heading in a cross by Roga. Dandalleion would equalize an hour of game later, by dribbling Lakoste and shooting from outside the box. The crippling shot proved too much for Iturributa's goalkeeper. Just five minute later, Dandalleion would manage to score another goal by acting as if he was a poacher, after a really messy corner. In this way, the Venom and the Willows will fight for the title.

Third Place Play-off

Iturributa United 2-2 Mâ Âlâmëómë (2-2 AET, 0-3 PKs)
Roga 65' (Lakoste 118') vs Fôx 33' (Einarsson 112')

And now it's Mâ Âlâmëómë that stuns everyone by winning against Iturributa, though by penalties. Fôx managed to give the Rulandese the lead in the first half after a nicely-finished one-on-one. However, Roga would equalize in the second half by heading in a great cross from a corner. The game would end tied and extra time would be needed. In the second half of extra time, Einarsson managed to give Mâ Âlâmëómë the lead once again after being assisted by Pickton, the now international Apoxian. However, when the game was fading, Lakoste managed to get a goal in one of the very last corners of the game. However, this late goal would mean nothing in the end, as three Iturributans missed their penalties while all of Mâ Âlâmëómë's players scored them.

Final

FK Oyardo 0-1 Jungle Strike FC
Winauat 10'

And so Strike takes the trophy home, after some good show of football. Oyardo goes home with their head up as well, they defeated Iturributa after all. The game itself was actually kind of boring, contrary to what Winauat's early long-range effort made most spectators expect. Oyardo couldn't manage to equalize even though they did have their fair share of chances, and Strike couldn't manage to score more, even though they probably even deserved it. In the end, Strike takes another trophy home, and the FFI has got a rightful winner, as well as an unexpected finalist.

Awards

The FFFF accidentally sent Jungle Strike some of the money meant for burning, as well as a cute plushie. As for the other teams, they got some cake. What were you expecting? Gold?

Conclusion

The FFI seems to have been successfully (never has this word ever been used so loosely) organized by the FFFF, and there was some very nice football all-around. Despite the terrible waste of money, the deficit wasn't huge enough to not prevent the FFFF from organizing another edition.

CdC23

Including the unranked puppets I sign up to help make numbers easier, there were twenty-eight teams submitted this season. Again, more than a few Rushmori leagues neglected to specify their league champions signing up for the competition, as such they were excluded as per my warnings, meaning the format stays largely unchanged from last season, aside from the larger amount of teams getting byes this time around.
RANK	Team
80.000 Navon Beach (Ad'ihan)
63.080 Iturributa United (Iturributa)
60.549 CA Conquistadores (Ossidiacqua)
59.608 Arka Snezhnaya (Mytannion)
~
56.149 CA Paulinthal (Pasarga)
47.888 Urbizania Wanderers (Astograth)
41.252 Augusta (Darmen)
37.203 Jan Mayen Islanders (Polar Islandstates)
33.652 Navel Sharks (Whirl Islands)
27.084 CCPD Penfro (Aels)
25.644 Sortherners (Ancharmunn)
25.160 Lac-Drouin St-Pierre (Sicoutimont)
24.711 Umber Lumber (Falcus)
23.650 Directus (Eura)
21.374 Talbott (Liventia)
15.086 Sporting San Marquez (Sargossa)
14.699 Bugny FC (Saugeais)
13.305 Caen (Kitsunia-Deesse)
11.148 Real Atlantea (Taeshan)
3.725 Soccoroo (Mangolana)
3.015 Barnton FC (Filopines)
2.920 Stazione Scipio (Branta Island)
1.170 Lions PC (Felinetopia)
0.634 Ma-amo United (Alitaba)

0.000 Yangeyange (Djocoranga)
0.000 Vécsei-Veszprém LK (Urszag-Csatoria)
0.000 Citelhta Itakam (Senippilihp)

The top four teams entered were granted a bye straight to the round of sixteen, and the bottom twenty-four played in the preliminary round, with the twelve winners joining the other four teams with byes.

The final this season was held at The Barge, Bjarnarey, after I could find no bids when scanning the thread. Though, happy to retcon this if pointed out.

Navon Beach (ADN) 1-2 Sortherners (ANC) (1-2 agg)
Sortherners (ANC) 0-1 Navon Beach (ADN) (2-2 agg) (Sortherners (ANC) wins on away goals rule)

Final
at The Barge, Bjarnarey
CA Conquistadores (OSD) 0–1 Sortheners (ANC)

So, after upsetting newcomers to the competition Navon Beach on away goals in the semi-final, Sortherners upset the golden generation of CA Conquistadores in the final at The Barge to make them the lowest ranked winners of the CdC for an awfully long time.

Future bids for host stadia will be taken into consideration, though the default in case of no bids will always be The Barge in Bjarnarey; the floating stadium. A final reminder also that all Rushmori nations only will be able to submit their league champions only (or top ranked team in the event of multi-associational leagues) for entry into the next CdC, the submission period opened when Commerce Heights closed entries to the last UICA tournaments, and will close again when Commerce Heights closes entries to the next UICA tournaments. No invitations will be sent. You must indicate in your league summary that you wish your league champion to take part.

Please also note that I will continue to monitor the UICA ranks used slightly, and am setting a hard maximum rank next cycle of 80. Any team with a rank higher than that will be cut to 80, and the max rank for the scorinator will be 100.

Welcome to the Seventh Campionato Esportivano di Campeones, organised for the third time by the Royal Licentian Football Association. After a high amount of entries last time, the consensus suggested that the tournament was cut down to two entries per league, so, with forty-two entries from twenty one different nations, the RLFA decided to continue the single elimination knockout format.

With no bids submitted to host this edition’s final, the host venue reverts to the St Bart’s Oval, on St Bart’s Island, based off the main island. As always, bids will be open to host the next edition’s final.

Sixth Campionato Esportivano di Campeones Final (at St Bart’s Oval, St Bart’s Parish, The Licentian Isles):
Urbanista (APX) 2–2 Issington FC (APX) (2–2 AET) (6–7 pen.)

In a final which saw the first Apoxian Campionato Esportivano di Campeones champion guaranteed, Issington FC travelled the short distance across the Channel to St Bart’s, and beat Urbanista in a thrilling final, much to the delight of the RLFA, who were dearly hoping that the Apoxians who had knocked out both Licentian sides didn’t win the competition. Special plaudits must go to Sideburnese side Sabrefell Athletic, who knocked out defending champions OE Penthesilea in the Third Round, before going on to take the eventual winners Issington to penalties.

Ark (ARK) qualifiers
Champions' Cup: The Ables and The Ordinarys (TAATO)
In the final round section of the league's RP there's some information regarding why the Arkans wish to enter the Champions' Cup rather than the Globe. React how you see fit.

Youth Cup: Young Arka (if allowable)

Ark (ARK) final site bid
Globe Cup: The Shplojarena - capacity: 67,550Image
Since the sponsorship of Arkan football by the national corporate behemoths of Shploj, all matches in the league have been competed within this custom-build advertising beacon stadium. Located at NNE Post-Stationary Periphery 001 upon the Steel Islands of Ark, this ground is the pinnacle of contemporary stadium building (at least that's what the brochure says) and contains all the necessary amenities required for International football. Should the bid be successful, Shplojcorp have also agreed to construct a giant screen in Bow Sector 4 so fans unable to ensure tickets to the match itself can still come to Ark and enjoy the football as well as a heady festival atmosphere on the open ocean.

Commonwealth Century Cup

The six clubs from the Darmeni Commonwealth which were selected by the UICA as Clubs of the Century were invited to Darmen to take place in the Commonwealth Century Cup. Scott City FC (DAR) were by and far the favorite team to take the title, while Nuns (HFC) and Earo United (ERO) were distant favorites for second place. Old Carthusians FC (SPO) and Cowapobia (NAI) were just looking to make the trip to Darmen worthwhile, while Mullhouse (DAR), who qualified as the Club of the Century for the former Chuckese FA, had no chance of doing anything.
Group A
Old Carthusians FC 2-0 Mullhouse

A breakthrough season saw two clubs from Zwangzug make the group stages of the Globe Cup. Both would be eliminated there; the previous league winners, Ephesian FC, at least managed to play somewhat like themselves, leading the group in goals for and leaking just as many. They were put out on their head-to-head result against Basin Plain, but weren't metaphorically put out and instead mostly bemused by how you can be both a basin and a plain at once. Geography's tricky like that. As for Excelsior Slogda, they needed no such tiebreaking excitement, nicking their only point by holding Northbrook Diamonds to a draw (to the presumable delight of Audioslavian "neutrals," and disappointment of Milchamian ones). They would add another goal against Atteregav Numa, with whom they can commmiserate about their geographic isolation from other cities in the league.

Some lip service to the idea of having youth teams continues, with grumbling, under the service. This may take the form of non-binding affiliations with particular colleges, and/or the simultaneous demand for a "B List" of players where clubs can dump all the prospects that they don't really want. (Hi, Ephesian.)

Canbix pretended to be surprised at their honor as club of the time period in question, Bassabook pretended to be disappointed in their comparatively unoriginal name (they really shouldn't be; the clubs with the most common name elements take originality a bit too far at times), and we all went home happily.

The season's first table-toppers were none other than Canbix, who walloped Eintracht Trink to the tune of four goals to nil (two from Katie Raptis, and one each from Ramona Geideen and Renee Leind-Fiske). This would be the entirety of the Nightriders' leadership this season; on the completely other hand, Nebenstimme (our use of italics in nicknames is inconsistent, bear with us) would remain ensconced in sixteenth until matchday twenty-eight, when they got the better of 102d, with Honoka Shapiro scoring the fifth goal of the night to pull them into a tie for fourteenth with the Wiz Kids. Meanwhile, in a northeastern showdown, Angela Kachi-Yan and Marvin Woraum were scoring a pair of goals for Ephesian in Arlington, which dropped Arlington City into last. The importance of this for Ephesian will be made clearer in due time. For now, suffice it to know that the next day Arlington held Trebuchet Cham (surging up in thirteenth) to a scoreless draw, while 102d and Trink lost to Twineur and the Rovers respectively, leaving all three stalled on nine and a half points. On the last matchday, they scored one goal among them; Arlington found that enough to beat Sporting Esper and climb to fourteenth, 102d blanked Keppal and stayed fifteenth. Trink rolled over to six goals from FTC United, leaving them in last and letting Cham complete the season in the unfamiliar heights of not last.

That was hardly the Oxen's best offensive spurt of the season, either, but we'll get there.

Back to the beginning. Canbix lost their second game of the season on a goal from Travis Robinson-Mayer of Twineur, which left three perfect teams, all unscored upon. Namiri Independent were plenty efficient, winning the derby thanks to a goal from Faris Zaman-Johnson. Keppal Cosmos were similarly accomplished, with Joaquin Schlempp dispatching FTC United. Splurging on goals were Excelsior Slogda, who also beat up on Trink, Adelaide Korath-Lear and Pasha Yakolev scoring in that affair.

Canbix recovered some measure of pride by winning their central clash, Monty Clyde beating the ETs in the next round of matches. The similarly-touchy Bassabook fans crowed their way to a 4-1 victory over the Rebels, while Slogda remained in control with Dunya Dratchler scoring away in Arlington.

And the rest of the first half was a pleasant climb for Alaisti. This is a club with the sensible decision to have just one home stadium, that being in southerly Craton, but benefiting from the travelling support of the more frenzied Hapra faithful. With forces like Sid Fringil on defense, Bruce Millar strong when called upon in goal, and Vera Woredann and company able to generate energy going forward, the fans always had plenty to see, though that didn't prevent them from making their own entertainment in the stands.

After the half, the race took an interesting turn. Slogda were home against Spenson Suburbia, and were content to defend for a while, but gradually tried some more daring attempts early in the second half. Yakolev, however, scored against the run of play, and Spenson were unlucky not to add more after Slogda, not keen on playing from behind, stumbled their way to a booking and a couple injuries. Meanwhile, Ephesian beat the 102d Jr.s, 4-2, to go top on goal difference--while remaining undefeated. At that point the defending (ish) champions had nine wins, with seven draws holding them back from any previous lead. Their 44 goals scored through 16 matches was almost fifty percent better than the next-best side (Twineur, previously runners-up, in fifth). Slogda presented an altogether different style, of course, with the most committed defense this side of Guariday having conceded in the single digits. (For their part, Canbix were eighth at this point.)

Matchday seventeen saw Ephesian take an early lead in...well, if you must know, Nuel. Nicholas Blier scored the goal, but the visitors had a hard time acclimatizing, which was exactly what Rovers United had in mind, and some free-wheeling midfield play let Rhonda Brattert-Gnes equalize. Slogda also started the day off by doing their part, Woredann scoring--and if you'll remember, this should have been the easy part, as in a reprise of matchday two, they were playing Nebenstimme. Of course, it didn't work. Shapiro and Antje Kurzmann-Tremme's goals came in quick succession, knocking the wind out of Alaisti's sails and leaving Ephesian in a frankly undeserved lead. (For their part, Canbix were eighth at this point.)

Fee fi fo fum, different melodies to hum on Matchday Eighteen.

Slogda, chastened by the draw, had an opportunity to lick their wounds at home, playing the next-worst team at the time, Arlington City. And Arlington did not park the bus, so much as maneuver a metaphorical freight train in front of goal. Ninety grueling minutes (there was very little need for stoppage time) resulted in not a goal for either side.

That was okay, because Zwischen was about to host more than enough goals for both teams.

Making their way into the title race came FTC United, and in a high-profile showdown of the capital versus the largest cities, it was the latter who found strength in numbers. You'll recall, Ephesian had won their visit to the FTC last season, 6-5. And...it's difficult to say what the strangest thing about the game was. Maybe that Ephesian led, twice? Yes, at halftime it was 3-2 in favor of the host side, and they'd been up 2-1 as well.

So far, so good. But soon after the kickoff, it was all Oxen, and Khalan Mard-Saro's header brought home the equalizer. Right off the restart, Arlo Rais-Sonnen scored to take the lead. Ephesian still weren't through; long passes up the middle, Pete Balmer to Davi Keane-Liuprand to Blier, set up the equalizer, and that axis would combine for plenty more dangerous attacks throughout the season. Just not that day. Rais-Sonnen pulled FTC United ahead again, buying them twelve whole minutes of quiet before Martina Ruan scored another goal, and eventually set up Rais-Sonnen to finish the hat trick. It was Ephesian's first loss of the season, and a 7-4 win for the visitors. And they wanted the goal difference, too. For when all the dust had settled, it was all three teams on lucky thirteen points, Ephesian three goals up on FTC United, themselves three goals ahead of Slogda.

It was a mix of exhaustion, rest, and downspiraling momentum from there on in. FTC United failed to capitalize, taking the lead through Rais-Sonnen but having it embarrasingly blown to Rosemarie Mulori-Sanzar of Cham. They would eventually slip out of the Globe Cup positions. Ephesian lost their next game as well, to Canbix, when Raptis, Patricia Eliot, and Clyde all scored to make up for Blier's efforts up front. Those turned out to be their only two losses.

But even that wasn't enough to catch Slogda. They beat Twineur and led outright the rest of the way. The race officially ended in Namiri district on matchday twenty-nine, when a couple early leads from Namiri Independent were negated by a couple of goals from Korath-Lear and a singleton from Jesse Mickler. Namiri Forest were doing no better, downed by Kachi-Yan's goal in Zwischen, but Ephesian were officially out of contention.

The Rebels recovered enough for Lina Kaur to beat Spenson Suburbia on the last matchday, who were playing only for Globe Cup seeding at that point. The result meant that Canbix only needed to draw to hold onto third; they were visiting Slogda who just wanted to celebrate at that point, so a scoreless draw was obligingly played out.

Apox (APX) final site bid
Champions Cup: The Royal Stadium - capacity: 71,000
The Royal Stadium is, quite frankly, the home of Apoxian football. Situated in the Northern part of Dwile, it only hosts the biggest matches, such as internationals or Marshall Cup finals. This sense of hallowed turf makes it on of the perfect places to host the biggest domestic football event there is - the Champions Cup final. It is large and loud whilst still feeling quite intimate, as the seat at the front are really very close to the pitch.

Campionato Esportivano de Campeones: The APX Sports Stadium - capacity: 56,000
The APX Sports Stadium, host of a Globe Cup final in the past, is the home of Dwile Warriors, perhaps the most successful Apoxian team, is a remarkable arena, with a great atmosphere. It is situated right in the heart of Dwile, and games are almost always well attended as fans travel in droves to see their favourite team play. It is well connected, with a Metro stop 50 metres away from the stadium, which has direct links to the airport and connecting train services.

"The golden ages. Pff."

They were named Damian and Flazino. Or Caton and Vidal. Or Luis and Cristóbal, or something else, it didn't matter. They were no one special. They were certainly not employees of any football club, they were not even former-employees. Perhaps one would say that the two bystanders were not even fans.

And yet, if part of being a fan was hoping for your club to achieve success, wanting it to win some prize, even when you thought the odds were stacked against you...well, why not?

"What's wrong with the golden ages?"

"It's so--despairing, to think that that the best days are in the past, that you can never get back to them."

"What if it's alluding to, like, the AFI?"

"The what? How?"

"People get kg Au all the time over there, don't they?"

A shrug, then a smile. "There is that."

"Here, I'll look it up."

"It's not going to be about the AFI. I'm just going to put that out there."

"No, it's just, the proliferation. A particularly noteworthy time in the history of clubs and associations, springing up. It's not backwards-looking, it's just saying 'hey, wow, there sure were a lot of associations that started around then.'"

"Really?"

"Really."

"That's great."

"Yeah.

"Any idea what they're sorting the others by?"

"Still nope."

Sigh. "It's going to be Unión de Ciudagua."

"You know that for sure? You've done the math?"

"I don't have to, they were too good."

"So it might not be."

"Who else is there?"

"Alianza Ciruelas, they were so consistently good."

"Aha, but they were too consistent, I think. Never had the chance to make the SBCC!"

"There is that."

"I mean, maybe it'll be close."

"Close? We're talking hundreds and thousands of points here, you can't just say 'And Mapabore Juventud won, 2-1.'"

"Yeah, cause we won't."

"You know what? It could be worse. We could have, like, merged with someone else, had to change our name, all that kind of thing."

"Yeah, we don't change our association name either. I mean, as long as the association was around, anyway..."

"Just the stadium."

"And only under duress, after which time we go back to calling it Estadio Paridos like we did all along."

"It's seen a lot, this field has."

"This club."

"This city."

"Yeah."

And the memories rush back, in every direction, spilling in and out. Forward, and back.

Aguazul institutes a new cup system, starts publicizing the lower divisions, third and onwards, just to have more parity, to have a new league champion. And on the last day of the season, playing Unión de Ciudagua, Mapabore pull out the win to take the title.

Bruno Dorantes doesn't play for Mapabore anymore but Gunsedal Cisneros does, and they both score in the friendly match, and then some. Instead of that close-fought win over Bears Armed, the national team routs them in the commemorative match, and even the competent Damian Toriano and the by-then-dismissed Flazino Rubiera manage to get along well enough to commentate the match together.

Mapabore and Ciudagua are considered statistical equals, their relative fates up to chance, and they fight all the way to the cup final itself. Ninety minutes more can't separate them, but then in extra time, midfielder Eva Barrichello makes her way forward, and scores the goal to win it for Mapabore.

They read. They responded. They travelled. They climbed. They paid (attention). They earned (kg Au). They received (medals). (Toriano helped.) They did it, they did many other things that end in d. At least in translation. Which this is and was. And they win the Aeropag Football Invitational, and they feel like they're on top of the world.

Cisneros is getting up there, too old for Royal Khaldoon to spend their mono coins on, but he forges on, and Mapabore with him, Noé Morayta scoring the away goal to lift them into yet another Globe Cup final. It's not enough, Khaldoon show that they don't really need him and win the thing anyway, but there was that moment, when it all still seemed possible.

Sixty-three minutes gone by, and the breakthrough comes from a strange direction, but it's Rapinato Burrieza with the goal. There's nothing for it but to hold on, and when time's run out, Mapabore have beaten the Silver-Blues, gotten some measure of revenge, they're the champions of the globe. Globe Cup, anyway. That counts.

Dorantes scores, well, everyone scores, from both teams, because there's eleven goals there at Paridos, Aguazul emerging on top of Cyborg Holland after an exhilarating 7-4 win, and people don't criticize them, no one says they should hold back, the stadium loves it. Also it maybe turns into a cricket game by the end that the grounds crew have to deal with. Which wasn't clear at the time. But the past is never too far gone, that we can't learn more.

Rubiera's on vacation and doesn't notice that Mapabore are invited to the AFI. He gets fired. But not literally. Really, no. This is Mapabore, they're decent people. He lands on his feet. But not literally, it's not like they tossed him out a window or anything. They'll be okay.

Even when they're not being let on the national team, women are making names for themselves in the league. And Rita Sahagún's one of them, accomplished, with a wide variety of skills, she's even acclaimed as the best singer on the club. A club that wins the hearts and minds of all sorts of fans, old and young, big and small. Big and young and sucked into a war bigger than yourself, sometimes that's how the world works.

Osmundo Sámarez has a way of standing tall, and fifteen minutes into the final he does just that, sending a header into the net. And when time runs out an hour and a half later, all of Mapabore can stand and be counted. They've won the Globe Cup, Aguazul has won a trophy, for the first time.

They win their first match of the cup, against Senolugar Sol by eight, then go on to knock out the defending champions before advancing to the final. Where they lose to Condadore, but at least it's not another silly upset.

Dorantes has barely been with the national team for a cycle and he's already moving on. But Alvaro Sáez, once of Mapabore, is showing his stuff, taking up the armband to become Aguazul's second captain. He does his best to keep the clubhouse together, break up fights, and if it comes to ignoring Aguazul's wrongdoings, to lying to the referee--for his team to win, he'll do his best, no matter what.

The boardroom's in chaos. Vidal Parrera's a polarizing figure, some people love him, some people hate him, it's hard work to be free and have differing opinions, maybe too hard. Mapabore are in freefall, but Fábricas obligingly knocked them out of the cup at the first attempt to give them plenty of time to restore their league season. A win in the playoff will avenge them and keep them in the top-flight, ninety minutes to go, it's anyone's game.

They get drawn against Huellim FE. They get redrawn against Huellim FE. Huellim win, why not? It only goes to show, Mapabore aren't unbeatable. You can't count yourself out against them, there's always a chance.

Drawn against Senolugar Sol to open their cup run, again, Mapabore aren't about to waste the chance. A 5-0 win builds their momentum, they shut out lower league opposition, they beat Deportivo Peralta 2-1 and then for the heck of it take out two of the other three sides from that era as well. It gets them back into the final. Where they lose to Universidad de Dénprade, but hey, people say, at least we have a winner from the first division again, which they haven't had since, well, Mapabore's previous defeat there.

Sargossa and Aguazul fight it out in the Cup of Harmony semifinal, taking extra time to come up with the ninth goal, and sure Aguazul lose but nobody wants to see the fun end. Besides, Mapabore don't like it when their players are split between club and country duty either. So Sáez takes off, so does Naike Leiva, and in comes David Sanz.

They get shut out all the way through regular time of the kindoff, and even in the end when they do manage to score, it's not enough. Which on some level (like, a very high level) only prolongs the humiliation, but they're in the second division, what did you really expect.

Aguazul can't hold the lead against Valladares, and for once, it doesn't matter, because maybe a club can succeed when the country doesn't. Because the country doesn't, some bizarre correlation. It's one thing to win the title, yeah, but it's another challenge entirely to succeed on the international level. It's not easy, at all, there are tiebreakers after tiebreakers--Sáez scores in extra time, there are penalties and away goals and a bad goal difference that doesn't matter, there's the semifinal match they lose, and then there's Leiva, equalizing the two-legged score, but not really because there would have been more away goals, but it doesn't matter because there are even more goals after that, and Mapabore are, somehow, in the Champions' Cup final.

There's a game in Mapabore. Ildemaro Urquiza is doing it all, for better and for worse, and Aguazul fall to defeat. And what matters, for the national team, for the future that's coming, isn't the score at all, it's the woman who isn't even there. It's the threat she'd once made, it's how far she's willing to go to make it clear that it doesn't have to be just lies, there are people who will hold themselves and you to the truth they've promised, no matter what. Sometimes it's not about which nation wins, or even what you sacrifice along the way--it's about the freedom that lies ahead, in ways you could only have dreamed.

There's a game in Mapabore. And who scored, or when, doesn't really matter. What matters, for the national team, for the future that's coming, is the aftermath. The things that don't even happen. No violence, no politics, no war, no interference. Castrograd SC win, so what. Maybe Aguazul are more than they take themselves for. Maybe it's a sign, they can be more than they ever thought possible.

"Look. Look! We did it! We won!"

And for a moment it was like any other trophy, the fans high-fiving, celebrating again. They were going to get a prize, well, some obscure neutral site was going to get a prize, but who cared, it was close enough. Maybe the players would have cared, would have taken some credit for it, but the game was bigger than them. It always had been.

"...Now what?"

"I don't know. See if we wind up with the Globe Cup?"

"Sounds good. And if we don't?"

"No idea. That's why it's called freedom."

"Huh. I could get used to this."

It was a blip in the standings, a statistical curiosity, perhaps not too consequential in the grand scheme of things. But for Mapabore, one day, it was indelible.

Resubmitting last season's qualifiers. OOCly I do not have the luxury of time (school projects, exams, finals week) to scorinate and RP two leagues. I hope to scorinate season three of Sangti's league before the UICA deadline, but the FIpino Liga can wait until next cycle.

Getting a bunch of pirates to agree on anything is a problem, nevermind trying to organise a football league, which was exactly the problem faced by Blackbone Bay - until some enlightened soul decided that the way of getting pirates to agree on something is treasure. So the organisers got some fat loot, buried it, and vowed to only hand the map to whomever won the attractively-named Treasure Tourney.

The crews of 48 vessels signed up to compete in what is essentially Blackbone Bay's first national league, and the format decided upon was 6 round-robin groups of 8 - a short season, considering these are easily-bored and easily-killed pirates we're talking about, but long enough to get some money out of (literally) pickpocketing spectators. The champions of each group would be further split up into two groups, and the winners of each would face off in a grand final so climactic nobody who values their life would willfully approach. Both finalists would earn the right to compete in the next Campionato Esportivano di Campeones, while the champions obviously won the treasure. Whether they could escape quickly enough to spend it is another matter entirely...

The Regular Season
Randomly sorted into 6 thematically-named groups, the winning crews advanced to the Champions' Round. There is no relegation; ship (and crew) turnover is large enough to ensure variation from one season to the next.

The Champions' Round
Only 6 matches, on neutral ground, in this whole round - but even the monkeys turned up to watch! The Kelmar, of strong Nordic stock, brushed aside its opposition while the (reputedly) dainty Prinçipésa Reale went through to the final on goals scored after drawing 2-2 with Larken and a thrilling 4-4 draw against Göç, the match between the others ending in a 1-1 stalemate.

The Blackbone Bay Grand Final
@ Pegleg Larry's, Blackport

Prinçipésa Reale 3–1 Kelmar

Pietro Dandolo got the opener for the Prinçipésa Reale as the match was just starting, but the Kelmar quickly replied via Ludde Jørgensen. They held out that way as the tension increased around Pegleg Larry's pitch, spilling over into a drunken brawl by a group of fans at half-time that was expertly handled by another group of self-appointed authorities, who brought guns to the football fight. In the second half, the Prinçipésa Reale again went in front thanks to a Marco Azzarà free-kick, but then a seemingly-valid equaliser by Jørgensen was not validated by the referee. Supporters of the Kelmar have since pointed to the referee's eyepatch as a sign of him not being fit for the job, but were dissuaded from further dissent on the pitch by Mr Baker showing them his scabbard. Carlo Morosini rounded out the victory for the Prinçipésa Reale as the match came to a close, collecting their treasure map and promptly fleeing the scene.

For the first year, all 34 teams will play Home-and-Away to decide the 16 teams that will qualify for the Super League, and the 18 who will play in the National Division 1. Also, after this, season, the GWFA Cup will commence, with all teams able to enter. The 34 teams entered are:

Sporting Tudor FC
St Albans City FC

Watford FC
Welwyn Garden City FC

A description of the teams can be found below

NameDescriptionRank
Abbots Langley FCDespite its traditional working-class industrial roots, Abbots Langley aren't a strong force in the region, and they may not even make the Super League.16
Apsley FCA smallish city on the river, its farming and industrial community aren't a strong force in football, and it's local involvement with Nash Mills is all its known for.30
Batchwood Rangers FCThe tiny community on the seafront have little chance of success, with barely anyone to develop their football team.31
Bovingdon FCWith an industry mainly foucsed on agriculture and farming, it's suprising to see Bovingdon FC as one of the regions better sides.7
Bricket Wood FCA small industrial city, their style of play wins them no fans, but their hard-nosed fans can expect a strong possibility of making it to the Super League.10
Buncefield Rovers FCThe most south-westernly side in the region, they are overshadowed by their neighbours Marlowes and Bovingdon, and look set to remain that way.20
Bury Lake Mariners FCThe tiny town on the seafront is considered the weakest team in the region, and has very little chance of any footballing success.34
Cassio ClubThe relatively modern town in the flatlands of the region, Cassio Club are a quirky side with every right to look up towards greater things.14
Cassiobury Rangers FCDespite it's considerable population, Cassiobury have struggled to make an impact on football in the region, and could be the largest city without a top team.27
Chiswell Green FCDespite its relatively modest size and population, Chiswell Green have a strong football team, with good support.5
Croxley FCWith its very small population, very few believe Croxley could reach the Super League, but their reasonable squad could suggest otherwise.15
Galleria FootballWith a small population, little is expected of Galleria, where the vast majority of people see the town as a transit between the south and the north.28
Garston RangersA small community with much of its population migrant workers from other cities, Garston has little chance of doing well, unless it develops a local support.33
Harlequin IslandersThe unique island in the sea holds a small population, and looks set to miss out on the big time, although they aren't the easiest team to visit.22
Hatfield FCOne of the poorest towns, with a considerable industrial sector, its football team has little to shout about, and could struggle to improve without money.25
Hemel Hempstead FCOnce the powerhouse of the region, the economic slump in Hemel Hempstead has affected their team, although they are still a tough team to beat.4
Jarman Park FCThe seaside tourist spot also hve a good football team for its size, and a Super League place would do wonders for the town.12
Kings Langley FCThe commercial city with a rivalry to Abbots Langley, the Kings are pleased to be pushing forwards above their rivals in the region.8
Leavesden Rovers FCA relatively strong team based in the town of Leavesden, on the seafront. They are one of several teams fighting for "best of the rest" behind Watford FC.2
Leverstock Green Rovers FCA coastal city with a reasonable population, Leverstock Green look capable to making it to the Super League, with a good squad9
London Colney FCA combination of industry and commercial developments makes this town a quirky place to live, but football isn't what the town is known for.23
Marlowes City FCBased in the small but densely populated metropolis of Marlowes, they are a team on the rise.3
Nascot Wood United FCThe seaside town with the mountainous north, Nascot Wood are a team that should make the Super League, but they have never been a strong force.11
Nash Mills FCThe small farming community enjoys football on a local level, but has not had much success nationwide. They hold a strong rivalry with Apsley.26
North Mymms FCThe rivals to South Mimms, North Mymms, on the Mymms Bridge are a stop-gap to the North, and haven't had any success nationwide in football.32
Oxhey FCOxhey are currently falling behind their rivals Croxley, and with a small size, they look set to lose out on playing in the Super League24
Rickmansworth Rovers FCThe high-class seaside city isn't a traditonal hot-bed of football glory, and the locals aren't overly keen on their sport. The Super League isn't likely for them.21
South Mimms FCA tiny village by the Mimms Bridge, it's rivalry with North Mymms is fierce on a local level, but neither team have much to shout about nationwide.29
Sporting Tudor FCA small old-fashioned town, they are a fun side to watch, but aren't consistent at times, which could affect them in the long run.18
St Albans City FCThe region's 3rd city is still lacking in a team that can truly fight at the top, but they are a well respected side.6
Stanborough FCThe town has the region's main waterway splitting it in half, and with a low population, they aren't considered a good side in the region.19
Vicarage FCVicarage is on the bay of one of the regions main waterways, but their squad isn't spectactular, and they aren't considered a safe bet for the Super League.17
Watford FCConsidered the top team in Greater Watford, the team of the capital look almost unstoppable at times.1
Welwyn Garden City FCConsidered a tough place to visit, with its northern location, Welwyn Garden City hope to make their isolated home a fortress.13

Stirvik TU found Arka Snezhnaya more easily handled on the full level than dealing with the youth side, who would also turn aside Nithgard GU. (The fact that Nithgard's youth experiments are well-done enough to make it through their group stage and then only lose out on tiebreakers worries many people a little, not in terms of them getting too dominant, just...Kaynd, what are they doing.) As for the top two, they'd independently avoid an all-Earent semifinal showdown, but it was fun to speculate.

Stirvik, unsurprisingly, were named Club of the Century, rewarded for their Champions' Cup run and other success. Just too bad we were too lazy to put together a second division in time for them to really play the SBCC (although we probably shouldn't jinx that...we're interested in funny statistical digressions, is all). But we're Earent, what do you expect. All around, it's a great credit to talents like Dander Fels, and even import Ondrej Knizek. Plus, of course, where would they be without Reaven Laynee's creative source of metaphor?

Well, we're actually about to find out, because after leading them beyond the UICA top ten, she's departed for another high-level challenge. So it might not be pretty.

The other notable transfer this season was the arrival of Sifé Rigutti, known for his cool demeanor under pressure. Which is good, because Ousteeble were going to be under a lot of it. Which is kind of sad because they're so defensive. Anyway, he helped...but not much.

The good news for us is that, well, our association got the most points of any other association (just as some other cycle-leaders fell off the PDF...). The bad news for everyone else is that this seems to be more good evidence that our rather strange tactics get results. So, with our apologies:
4 Chords, 34 Matchdays
(For real this time.)

Matchday One: Perntav Marna TU (drawing with Ungalb Parkatsee)
We're just a little bit caught in midtable
We tried to score but we were unable.
Don't know where to go cause we're playing at home.
Next we've got the champs. Aw, why?

Matchday Two: Stirvik TU (beating Rithspin TU)
Your lips are sealed
Because we beat you all over the field
We knew we wanted to win
You let us earn a new win
Which was kind.

Matchday Three: Stivarnel GU (losing to Ungalb Tratbongent)
We lost in your town, we're sinking down
But it's early yet, you sure can bet
That's why we don't mind
We think you'll find
It's not our time to crash and die.

Matchday Four: Perntav Marna TU (losing to Attergav Numa)
And we remember all those left-wing things they said
Our rivals failed, they never led.
They lose, they fall, it's not their year
Yet somehow we wish they were here.

Matchday Five: Deahpild TU (beating Stirvik TU)
(We think they're happy about flying up to first place, as they are now the only perfect team, but they're too drunk to clarify at this point, so whatever.)

Matchday Six: Atteregav Numa (drawing with Attereg GU)
One day, one day, one day (we'll make the Globe Cup? we'll make the top half? we'll win the derby? who knows. who cares.)

Matchday Seven: Deahpild TU (drawing with Ungalb Parkatsee)
You're the reason why we're crowding into the bar
We had been perfect but maybe we won't go all that far
Go pollute in your car till you're winning, don't care what we do.

Matchday Eight: Ungalb Parkatsee (drawing with Ungalb Devsgrybe)
We've got some brand new cars, down in the parking lot.
You're just washed-up stars, wishing you had what we've got.

Matchday Nine: Ousteeble TU (drawing with Perntav Marna TU)
(They're seventeenth and none too pleased about it, so maybe it's for the best that we don't know what's going on. At least the goalkeeper caught a bunch of shots? It was a shutout. So there's that.)

Matchday Ten: Brandith GU (drawing with Ousteeble TU)
We shut you out,
Nobody likes the way we play,
You can't be proud, you don't score much.

Matchday Eleven: Rogglebo TU (beating Paysban TU)
Today's the day, just watch us play.
Oh, we're climbing up, we've reached the top
Let's blast off far beyond the globe

Matchday Twelve: Attereg GU (losing to Ungalb Tratbongent)
We turn the TV off, we weren't the highlight reel,
Stared at only by the fans in our distant ground.
Come over, come over, come over, come over...

Matchday Thirteen: Nithgard GU (drawing with Stirvik TU)
Sharing quarterfinal fame
Now the world's gonna know our name
And today, we proved much the same.
So the world's gonna know our

Matchday Fourteen: Brandith GU (beating Paysban TU)
Seven goals all over the place
Win number seven
Let's pull ourselves back in this race
What kind of side turns
To shrink from our face?
It feels like heaven, so I think we should win some more.

Matchday Fifteen: Stirvik TU (losing to Atteregav Numa)
This is all so dumb, can't see the top half,
Maybe we're just tired, too uptight to laugh.

Matchday Sixteen: Ungalb Devsgrybe (losing to Ousteeble TU)
These boys want to play, but time ran out today
On this game, now we have to go home.

Matchday Seventeen: Nithgard GU (beating Rogglebo TU)
We use a different skill,
That's what we get from nidjing, for nidjing, woo.

Matchday Eighteen: Brayntel TU (beating Rogglebo TU)
(Huh, that's funny. Rogglebo are still top...weird. Anyway, they're just giggling like happy fans, or, more likely, being cool like insufferably pretentious people. Tsk.)

Matchday Nineteen: Brandith GU (beating Ungalb Parkatsee)
Your fancy cars don't look like escaping
Don't look like you're ever sneaking away
And our force won't ever change.

Matchday Twenty: Nithgard GU (beating Brandith GU)
Can you blow the whistle, maybe, whistle, maybe
Let us know
We're happy playing out the string
So you can take it slow
It's hanging from your neck so you can keep it close
Don't let them rally, silly cheaters, please don't...
There we go.

Matchday Twenty-One: Ungalb Devsgrybe (drawing with Munnerput TU)
We can do it better than them!
(If you say it enough times it sounds like you're trying to convince yourself. They're tied for sixteenth. Ahead of Rithspin and their many women, though, so...there's that?)

Matchday Twenty-Two: Brandith GU (drawing with Atteregav Numa)
Money?
(If you say it enough times, it sounds like you're trying to convince the referees...)

Matchday Twenty-Three: Ousteeble TU (drawing with Nithgard GU)
Defense
Knowing where your nidjfoges rove to
(Sometimes they fall in love, and that's okay.)
Defense
Holding you to surreal shutouts
(At least when it's in a heterosexual way).

Matchday Twenty-Four: Nithgard GU (beating Ungalb Tratbongent)
We feel your hearts beat, and beating you was fun
Oh what a game, when we linked up with someone.
So while you're here in our town
Go make the most of the night, because we're not yet done.

Matchday Twenty-Five: Deahpild TU (beating Nithgard TU)
What are you, just slackers?
We did our best, you came out worst.
We won't give you some water
For victory, you have no thirst.

Matchday Twenty-Six: Stirvik TU (beating Stivarnel TU)
We miss your speech, your smile, your suit
It was bizarre but it was mostly cute.
We miss your rallies and your pants
Don't forget about her random rants.

Matchday Twenty-Seven: Brandith TU (beating Ousteeble TU)
You should have known
Not to mess with us
And it hurts to know
You don't belong here
It's your second-division nightmare.

Matchday Twenty-Eight: Rogglebo TU (beating Paysban TU)
We just beat Paysban, yup, playing at home.
Look out now, Kaynd, we're coming for you.
That's how this season goes, we think it's all right
Cutting the title race down to two.

Matchday Twenty-Nine: Deahpild TU (beating Brandith GU)
Guess that was a good time.
Yeah, we crushed you, scoring five,
Guess that was a...

Matchday Thirty: Attereg GU (drawing with Deahpild TU)
You can't pull the win out, go mix some drinks, cause you don't have it made, have it made, have it made.
Rub salt in your wound, see if you can beat teams of your ilk, of your ilk, of your ilk.

Matchday Thirty-One: Ousteeble TU (losing to Ungalb Tratbongent)
The top flight or no, at least we remember
We've got each other, now and forever
So if we get low, still nothing can sever
The nidj to see us through.

Matchday Thirty-Two: Deahpild TU (beating Ousteeble TU)
We scored a goal, we're gunning
Winning in their park
So now the streets we're smashing
Open every bar
So put your arms up high and chant it,
We're tearing up the town
Cause that's just how we do.

Matchday Thirty-Three: Paysban TU (drawing with Rithspin TU)
We were new squads, borne into the top flight,
Hoping we could draw some upsets, maybe catch a break.
But since we came here, felt no joy this whole year
Finding ourselves making every possible mistake.

Matchday Thirty-Four: Nithgard GU (drawing with Rogglebo TU)
We've got the power, you see.
Every time we link up we start taking the gold.
Everybody knows we're strange and awesome, yes we
Will hit the ground running until we're flying free.
Everybody wants a little...

These tricks that we'll attempt, will knock you out.
Pick a park, any park, we'll mess around so never doubt.
We'll need some teams to beat, or draw with, maybe you?
Let us come over and then you'll be real black and blue.
I'll have you time dilating, we're the best, don't be hating.
People trying to imitate the skill, till they're rating.
Even Brantslaybel had to go and start somewhere, and
We see Stroyfungul like, "we're down, man, what's happening?"
So come one, come all, come and see the game tonight
Prepare to be astounded cause you know we'll win all right.
You know we're no Ousteeble, our defense won't make you bored,
So call us winners, magic Kaynd, bringing the fourth chord.

Matchday 1
Mariners stun Watford
This game seemed a foregone conclusion. Watford the top team in the nation, favourites to win the title, against Bury Lake Mariners, a tiny coastal village with a line up consisting of only 6 professional players. Amazingly, it took 51 minutes for Watford to score, when Sam Smith latched on to a Giorgio D’azzani cross to score. With Watford leading, they relaxed, but a calamity at the back between goalkeeper Anthony Adams and defender Julio Playa allowed Thomas Waterman to equalise for the Mariners after 80 minutes. Then, with seconds to go, Bury Lake launched the ball downfield to try and hold out for the draw. The ball came over the shoulder of Michael Magdalene, who launched a volley towards goal. It flew past Adams, hit the crossbar and bounced in, and wild scenes followed, as several Mariners fans invaded the pitch in celebration. This is a result nobody would forget.

Matchday 15:
Marlowes inflict misery on Hemel Hempstead
Marlowes City FC emphatically beat Hemel Hempstead 5-0 in their local derby. The match saw Marlowes striker Randy Amati score a hat-trick in the space of 15 minutes, with a header after 21 minutes, a curling volley on 27 minutes, and a clever chip on 36 minutes. In the second half, Jason Earles scored a direct effort on goal after 62 minutes to give Marlowes a 4-0 lead, and the final goal came from the penalty spot after 83 minutes from George Timson. The game ended badly for Hemel Hempstead, after Yliton Esterford was sent off for a 2-footed challenged, before manager Graham Turner followed suit, after me marched on the pitch to make a protest to the referee.

Matchday 29:
6-6 Thriller
Bovingdon FC hosted Chiswell Green FC in one of the most spectacular games in the nation. After 10 minutes, both teams had socred twice, making the game 2-2. Bovingdon pulled out a 2-goal lead before half time, making it 4-2. However, in the next 25 minutes, Ryan Jankowicz scored a hat trick for the Green, making it 5-4 to the away side with just 20 minutes to go. Unbelievably, Tom Hooper and Sam Gerbivore both scored long range efforts for the home side, leaving the match at 6-5 going into injury time. In the dying seconds, a corner was awarded to Chiswell Green, and goalkeeper Oliver Opert went up, and managed to score an equalising header, making the score an unbelievable 6-6.

Attico's Premier League Preview

The Official Nouvel Ecosse Football Premier League

A Little History - The Official Opening to the start of the Nouvel Ecosse League has been a long-overdue event. Postponements, International Tournaments, and a short but crippling corruption allegation aimed at the Nouvel Ecosse Football Association all proved to be major setbacks. The only football seen in the country for well over a year now has been only through International matches and the occasional tournament, where giants Endeavour Thistle and Edinburgh City have largely reigned supreme. However, times have been a-changing in this World, and the sides once considered minnows are on the rise, a move which may well see some shocks come the end of the season.

Alhambra Azores

Brief Overview: Since 2005, when Milford Lovejoy bought the club on the brink of administration, Alhambra Azores have found themselves experiencing a resurgence in both form and popularity. Lovejoy, a millionaire businessman, pumped money into the club, and perhaps the best example of their rise back to a top team was their capture of Nouvel Ecosse International Striker Leigh Donovan from Harbour Tusks in 2008. Donovan has been at the forefront of "The Fronds" game since then, providing the goals and celebrity status to bring money back into the club.
Manager: Mickey Starkey
Captain: Dan Franklin
Transfer activity: Alhambra Azores have been pretty busy in this transfer market, using their money gained from the last few years to make numerous signings. Internationals Dan Franklin and Logan Malloch have been signed from Caledonia Claymores and Des Moines Market respectively. Dan Franklin, who has 22 Caps, will be integral to the side, particularly if they are to push for a top-4 position, and will strengthen up a defense that can struggle at times. Logan Malloch, who has 14 caps despite plying his trade for second division side Des Moines Market, will form the backbone of the midfield, providing assists for Donovan. Franklin cost a hefty NS$ 2,500,000, whilst Malloch was a much more reasonable NS$ 750,000. Alhambra Azores also signed Felixian defender Nico di Vasco from Napoli in Felix, who has been thought as a probable choice for the Felix National Team. With di Vasco and Franklin forming a duo at the back, Alhambra have found themselves with a formidable backbone.

Armadillo FC

Brief Overview: Armadillo FC will be looking to maintain the fourth place finish they managed to barely scratch in the last campaign, with signs showing they may just be up to the task. The signing of both Shelt and Rolno shows a desire not previously associated with the club, and the decision for Rolland Gould to extend his contract for another three years shows that there is obviously much more fuel left in the tank. With Edinburgh City and Endeavour Thistle sitting pretty at the top, it may well be Armadillo FC who break up the duopoly.
Manager: Rolland Gould
Captain: Art Plummer
Transfer activity: The main addition to the Armadillo side was Beaverriver midfielder Herman Shelt, signed from Flounders Island FC. The twenty year old, who was immediately popular due to his rather ironic surname, which is pronounced Shell by many of the Armadillo fans, has shown many signs of class during his spell of pre-season training with the club, and has thus been given a first-team placement. Also signed was former wonder-kid Gale Rolno for a cool NS$ 1,250,000, who has shot straight into the attack alongside Aldo Francisco.
Predicted Finish: 5th

Atticus

Brief Overview: After losing star-forward and captain Gale Rolno to Armadillo and Manager Hipson Instant retiring it will be an uphill struggle for Jim D McMahon and his mottly crew of men. Many were surprised by the choice of McMahon to replace the ever-popular Hipson, especially considering Jim's goalkeeping history. When Rolno decided to abandon ship as well, some thought the club was doomed. However, the triple signing of Alvarado, Nguyen and Valdez will do plenty to ease the minds of the fans, and many believe that Atticus may well do better than they have done for many years.
Manager: Jim D McMahon
Captain: Ricky Sutherland
Transfer activity: Tony Alvarado was the surprise move, notching what many believe to be a step down from his former club, Harbour Tusks. He should form a partnership with former Red Star Burgundy midfielder Julian Nguyen, who will be playing on the opposite flanks, and some pundits speculate they may well adopt a style of switching positions. Forrest Valdez, a youngster with Des Moines Mechanical in the Second Division until this switch, will play between the two, adopting the defensive style he has worked on over the years with the Mechanics.
Predicted Finish: 7th

1. Craig St. Southstreet, Goalkeeper, Age: 23, Previous Clubs: None, Youth System

Caledonia Claymores

Brief Overview: The Claymores have retained much of the side which largely failed to deliver last time round, however strengthening a midfield which was disappointing. With Clinton Arnold and Luigo Xander both added to the side, the fans will be expecting much more, and with the ever-improving Dax Coscini between the posts a solid finish should be desired. Relegation, although a threat, will not be a dangerous one.
Manager: Buzz Ken
Captain: Clarke End
Transfer activity: Clinton Arnold and Luigo Xander have both been added to the side in what was a productive window. Xander, an attack-midfielder, was signed on a free transfer after having been released by Callander City due to wage disputes, and will slot straight into the first team due to his skill in both passing and shooting. Arnold, on the other hand, was a surprise signing from Armadillo, where he was a regular until an injury benched him for much of last season. His lack of first-team action is likely to have drawn him to Caledonia.
Predicted Finish: 14th

1. Dax Coscini, Goalkeeper, Age: 23, Previous Clubs: Caledonia Claymores 2006 - 2009, Kington FC 2009 - 2012, Caledonia Claymores 2012 - Present
2. Alec Marato, Left-Back, Age: 25, Previous Clubs: Sanchez Juniors 2004 - 2008, Caledonia Claymores 2008 - Present

Callander City

Brief Overview: "The Prisoners", as they are referred due to their history as both a prison team and the continuation of the use of the colour orange in their strips, look like they are a team with something big on their mind. Luther Maldonado was destined to move on to bigger and better things during the window, yet decided to stick with the team, msot likely down to the persuasive duo of Kapranos and Wales.
Manager: Johnny Kapranos
Captain: Florida Wales
Transfer activity: Alan Christensen was signed from Des Moines Mechanical, an important coup due to the fact that Edinburgh City reportedly wanted to sign him. He will provide more in a midfield which can often be lacking in prowess and skill.
Predicted Finish: 13th

1. Florida Wales (c), Goalkeeper, Age: 24,
2. Leif Overstreet, Left-Back, Age: 20,
3. Sanford Donohue, Centre-Back, Age: 31,

Brief Overview: One of the wealthiest sides in Nouvel Ecosse, their pre-season was dominated by their failed pursuit of Curt LaFleur, Endeavour Thistle's star-midfielder.

Dondarrion Albion

Brief Overview: The rise of the two Garys continues, with Dondarrion returning to the Premiership for the first time in twenty-eight years. With the addition of Marc Hansen and Jorge Salazar, Mozhoven is sure to have a surprise in store for any team visiting their famous Lightnign Castle Stadium.
Manager: Gary Mozhoven
Captain: Gary McClaren
Transfer activity: Marc Hansen and Jorge Salazar have both been added to the squad, both signed from Haverville Eleven. The two will solid up what could be seen as a rather weak defense, and their addition will mean that Dondarrion may just curb the flow of goals which troubled them towards the end of last season.
Predicted Finish: 16th

1. Pete Mulligan, Goalkeeper, Age: 32
2. Marc Hansen, Left-Back, Age: 19
3. Gary McClaren (c), Centre-Back, Age: 34

Dunsulk Millionaires

Brief Overview: The Millionaires are expected to be the whipping boys for the rest of the League this season, with a team hastily prepared after numerous sales and the sacking of former manager Dubet Cardoze two major blows for the club. The sale of star forward Jimmy Owens to fellow relegation battlers East Hannibal Albion was the icing on the cake, leaving the team with not much anywhere, apart from possibly in defense.
Manager: Horrice Fossilite
Captain: Lucas Daniels
Transfer activity: Jimmy Owens was sold, and many free-agents were snapped up by the club.
Predicted Finish: 20th

1. Lyman Matteson, Goalkeeper, Age: 33,

East Hannibal Albion

Brief Overview: East Hannibal Albion were the surprise package last season in the first division, hitting form the second half of the season and finishing just ahead of Edinburgh University for the promotion spot. Dubeckel has got them playing well, and we believe they are likely to stay up.
Manager: Martin Dubeckel
Captain: Bryant Carlson
Transfer activity: Jimmy Owens has been signed from Dunsulk Millionaires, and many believe that he will be key to staying up in their first season.

Edinburgh City

Brief Overview: After the disappointment of the last campaign, when they were pipped to the League title on the last day of the season, Edinburgh City have approached this one with a rather more laid-back approach. There has been next to no transfer activity from Jackson Cash's men, which is surprising considering the wealth of chairman Mantis Adams and the short period of time Cash has been at the club. This must point to good signs for the fans, who will feel that the lack of transfer activity relates to the feeling that the team is ready and prepared for the coming season, certainly strong enough.
Manager: Jackson Cash
Captain: Zinedine Frazer
Transfer activity: Travis Malone and Dale Robson have both been promoted from the Edinburgh Academy to the Professional outfit.
Predicted Finish: 2nd

1. Zinedine Frazer (c), Goalkeeper, Age: 28, Previous Clubs: None, Youth System

Endeavour Thistle

Brief Overview: The last Champions before the League was postponed, Endeavour Thistle will be looking to continue from where they left off. With the team boasting the impressive defense of Zanetti and Van Miller, plus an attack including the likes of LaFleur, Montoya and Felixian Alejandro Héctor, its difficult to argue with the fact that this season may well just be a walkover for the giants. Rab Purvis has spent the money earned from the sale of Darren McFadden and Fergusonn frugally but wisely, recruiting Héctor and U-15 star Gav O'Sevens for the side.
Manager: Robert Boyle
Captain: Javier Zanetti
Transfer activity: After the sale of both Darren McFadden and Darren McFadden to foreign sides, it was important that Robert Boyle found replacements worthy of a championship side. In Alejandro Héctor, a Felixian signed from Santa Maria City, he has found a strong, young player who will fill the hole left by McFadden, maybe not straight away, but as the season progresses definitely Gav O'Sevens, although 'signed' from the Youth Team, will be looking to build on a stellar performance at the U-15 WC, where he lead Nouvel Ecosse to third place with his smorgasbord of goals.
Predicted Finish: 1st

20. Robin Harris, Goalkeeper, Age: 27, Previous Clubs: Stornoway Star 2002 - 2007, Endeavour Thistle 2007 - Present

Everton

Brief Overview: Everton are aft nicknamed "The Master-Class" by fans and pundits alike, and under the leadership of former player and International Bastien Matheus the nickname has never been more true to the word. With a midfield including regular internationals Colin Di Nesbo, Johnny Cahill and Franz "Kaiser" Mackie, Matheus has created a side capable of many things, chief amongst them scoring goals. Matheus has entrusted the striker positions with an unlikely pairing of Glen Fellaini and Gary Hibbert, Hibbert joining in a NS$1,250,000 move. Many see this as a step backwards from last season, when Fellaini was alone and the midfield more flowing, whilst others have questioned whether Hibbert's style is affluent with the others.
Manager: Bastien Matheus
Captain: Mark Zidane
Transfer activity: The capture of Gary Hibbert from Ruban Recreational was a major coup, and one which did not go unnoticed. Despite their finish of third, commentators believe that it will take a season for Hibbert to gel with the rest of the side into one unit.

Hannibal Elect

Brief Overview: Bakkthwick, as is true every season, was the fan's choice to replace Tom Sixty, who resigned at the end of last season. Bakkthwick immediately signed youngsters Brian Hound and Richard Fast, and the fans are convinced good things are ahead for the club.
Manager: Kicker Bakkthwick
Captain: Rigley Kat
Transfer activity: Brian Hound and Richard Fast were signed from Sanchez Juniors, where they had been fringe players. Considering their talent, they are welcome additions to the side, and are guaranteed a first team spot for the rest of this season.

Harbour Tusks

Brief Overview: The signature of Gabriel Ortega minutes before the transfer window slammed shut heralded an important occasion in the life of Harbour Tusks. They had just made their first big transfer in around three years, signalling Wavetree's intent to get the team back where they belong: the top-6.
Manager: Alan Wavetree
Captain: Vance Lundberg
Transfer activity: The addition of both Gabriel Ortega and Tanner Valentine signify many things; that Harbour Tusks are looking for goals, and that they are preparing for the future. Ortega, who was highly tipped to join Endeavour Thistle, has instead opted for the cold choice of Harbour Tusks, and has found himself benched as a reward. Some blame this on a recent injury he picked up. Tanner, on the other hand, is a guaranteed goalscorer, even at 34, although some suspect that this will be his last club, if not season.
Predicted Finish: 6th

1. David Gordon, Goalkeeper, Age: 24, Previous Clubs: None, Youth System

Jacobites

Brief Overview: There was much controversy after William Bruce's decision to promote 15 year old Josef Reiter straight to the first-team, but many are now seeing exactly why he has done this. With his technical and physical game both at an excellent standard, and after his participation in the U-15 World Cup with Nouvel Ecosse, Reiter is obviously mentally and morally prepared.

Martell United

Brief Overview: Martell United have formed a dependable and consistent team round the Giacherinni brothers, Andreas Skerla and Captain Brian Caine. Caine, a Nouvel Ecosse International, has been a shining light for Martell United over the past few seasons, as they have built success from very small roots. Only promoted five seasons ago to the Premier League, they are already contenders for a top-4 finish, and thanks to a defense which includes the likes of Skerla and Lando Giacherinni they let in very little goals as well.
Manager: Deangelo Copley
Captain: Brian Caine
Transfer activity: Due to financial restrictions, Martell United had a very quiet window.
Predicted Finish: 8th

Red Star Burgundy

Brief Overview: Having entered financial meltdown due to overspending, Red Star Burgundy lost a lot of their squad, and are now left with the inevitability of administration and relegation. Walter Randall has taken a pay cut in order to stay on as manager, but the cost that the team has paid for bankruptcy is almost too much. Some expect the team to have disappeared by the end of the season.
Manager: Walter Randall
Captain: Wilson Vaughn
Transfer activity: Randall has been forced to fill the side with amateurs, who will not expect much pay. Expect heavy defeats.
Predicted Finish: 18th

Sanchez Juniors

Brief Overview: The only professional team in Nouvel Ecosse to pride itself on hand-raising all of its players, "The Gringos" could be a side to watch this year. With Romeo Bartels banging in the goals and Andres Alcantra leading the defense, plus the ever-experienced guiding hand of Ewan Cassio on the left-wing, big things are expected of this Sanchez side. Carlos Bandero has announced that he expects to still be in control of the side in another ten years, and not many people will say no to that.
Manager: Carlos Bandero
Captain: Ewan Cassio
Transfer activity: Numerous players left on transfer, although none of the first team left.

OOC: Only one part left to do, huzzah!

Mink City, Camelot Islands, Northern Sunrise Islands
Giselle Stadium - Attendance: 11,090

Image

Magikarp Day, one of the most important holidays for the fishing sector of the Sunrise's economy. It was also the day of the first ever Invitational of the Magikarp. And who else to play against the hometown team than the appropriately named Pezcemá Golden Magikarps? Knowing that they'd face the Correctional Institution of Mink, they left Pezcemá with the hopes of showing a lot of skill to that happy crowd.

As the team slowly entered the field to a row of claps, the players could see, at last, the crowd of Mink. Mostly white haired, though not exactly because of age, the crowd was well geared to watch the match. However, a sector of the crowd was taking the whole attention from anyone else. A Supporter's Group of Pezcemá? Hard to believe, but it was there. They even brought an inflatable giant Golden Magikarp!

As they all heard the anthem, together with the team of the Correctional Institution, the opposition was clearly a strange group. Among the players, a woman with a garland, looking like she came from a marriage ceremony. Given Name on the Shirt 'Deschamps', was silent, like the other players, only waiting for the anthem to end and the match to start. Another person was also ready for the match and couldn't wait for the anthem of the Sunrise to end.

Kylx, at last, could debut using the yellow-and-red shirt. After playing on different teams of the vast multiverse and losing a season after being transformed in a Skitty, Kylx was at last at the green pitch. As the teams got into their proper positions, the game was about to start when Kylx's mind sparked. It sparked an over-calculated way to the net, mystifying any fan on the crowd. The traditional four-second goal, the one and only. But something happened.

As Kylx started running in almost superhuman speed, something got on his way and knocked him down with such perfection that his right leg bone snapped, bursting through his skin and exposing itself to the crowd. Horror on the crowd's eyes, but laugther from Deschamps. That sick being laughed as she could see Kylx on fear leaving the pitch. Not even the red card somehow convinced her to stop. But somewhere else inside the stadium, someone was happy as well.

"Just met the right piece I need."

The Correctional Institution won the game later on, 2-0.

Tiamare, Dua-Isla, Northern Sunrise Islands

After a rather satisfying preseason, the Graduates knew this season was going to be a landmark for the Project +90, but not exactly knew whether it'd be in a good or bad reason. However, for the remains of Project +90, it was already noticeable that the team would struggle. With many departures from the team that railed opponents left and right on the first months of the year, the few left decided to do their best for a good season at a new Sunrise League Development.

It was a rather rainy day at Tiamare as the last bus left to take the Youth Team players to their respective Junior teams. Not with them were Sasuke Akiyo, Shinnosuke Miyotaki and Bat Punhemba, who had signed contracts with foreign teams from Mizuyuki and on the case of the latter, Dainer. Names like Vitor William, Hikari, Faiah and Middleford were leaving for a new experience, hoping to achieve anything outside. There was already some expeculation on whether most of these young players would go for a second nationality at the Sunrise and maybe join the ranks of the Vaporeons on the future, while players like Llamera and Mansur were instead more worried on earning experience at the Northern Sunrise Islands to maybe participate at the national team of their respective countries.

However, strangely enough, a car arrived, bringing two players to the stadium. With a tanned skin and black hair, they seemed like a brother and a sister, but instead, were Project +90's newest players, Cervantes and Pietra Carvalho. The rest of the team, the ones that didn't manage to get a contract somewhere and the four Felixians who were allowed to play one more season for the team before returning to their land, were slightly surprised by the newcomers. Pietra, one of the Carvalho cousins, along with Ricardo and Mateus from the national team was brought in to fill the spot that Kody Auttenberg will leave after the season, while Cervantes was slated to use the number 10, once ever so disputed by Felipe Maniche and Fiacre Bellerose, with the latter leaving next season, while Maniche was already at Buyan, marveling the eyes of the fans of Bengtsmark IF.

With a roster that had a nice number of players, it wasn't, however, too difficult for coach Demitri Martin III to pick up his starters. After a couple of trainings, he already picked up the line-ups for the Sunrise League Development Gold, where they were going to play against the top reserve talent of the Sunrise.

STARTER 11 - V. Rosário; A. Hy, T. Mottershead, F. Keiren, R. Hugo; Mateus Pereira, I. Tancredo, E. Gamol, K. Auttenberg; F. Bellerose, N. Walker
SUBSTITUTES - L. Raneses; M. O' Haile, H. Mullins, J. Pietrich, R. Morgan; J. Halvosso, Y. Sarracena, Pietra Carvalho, G. Rosso; Cervantes, M. Hermino
RESERVES - Peach; J. Punhemba, H. Al-Yossei, M. Berciles, P. Alfrendique, A. Jaguar; A. De Rijk, Edward Spades; A. Hunt, Rodrigo Willian, P. Koppers, J. Bustos, A. Sampaga, B. Lamera
