Yalos wrote:Steel Confessors wrote:Right, well this seems like a spot of fun. So, here's my app for my nation. I left out a Species one merely because its more of just a collective of cybernetic humies, but I'll be happy to provide one.Civilization Name:The Brotherhood of Illuminated Steel Confessors, Scions of Humanity, Harbingers of the New Age, Bringers of the Golden Dawn, The Ascendant Prime, or otherwise the Confessors, The Brotherhood, Steel Confessors, or those damn tinheads.
Civilization Age: Several Thousand years of development though its relatively young of a few hundred years on the galactic stage.
Government Type: Military Council separated upon three branches that represent the particular areas of produced models with another section performing in an advisory role.
Government Information: The Triumvirate council is the first and last voice in all matters of the Confessors as a whole. While Legio councils can still operate rather autonomously within their areas, the Triumvirate can override it at any particular time and assign special duties or crusades. The council is made up of three branches. The Chimeric Brotherhood which represents the military arm of the Confessors, the Gargarean Line that functions as the diplomatic branch while also controlling multiple espionage elements, and the Hydratic Order which represents the technological know-how of the Brotherhood. The Reborn are not an official branch but they represent brothers and sisters who've fallen in combat and are reborn through technological means. Their word is not absolute but held in high regard.
Each Legio is functions in itself almost like a feudal state. It receives orders from the Triumvirate, providing arms and troops to defend its borders and to add towards particular targets of conquest requested by the Triumvirate. However, they are free to guard and protect their garrison worlds and the human populations nearby. Each Legio is often times spread out within the cosmos, running about the void and dispensing the particular justice of humanity against the foul alien and their supporters while uplifting humans scattered about. (A better explanation is in one of the later factbooks posted here.)
Government Status: Relatively stable and in a state of stagnation as members take a while to die off.
Population: 10 Trillion Sapients and Synthetics.
Home World/Capitol: Titan, Triumvirate Council Sector
Capital Status: Small, metal-dense moon that has been turned almost entirely into a massive factory and clone production facility. There are areas settled within that help regulate the FT communication system of the Confessors, the Neural Net, as well as the administration and processing of soldiers as well as exterior operating Legios.
Notable locations and such: Within the Confessor's Control of note are the centers of Legio administration, recruitment and logistical supply for all Legio's deployed II - X. Listed as Pheinos, Telsus, Infelix, Vavarius, Corus, Phelus, Heust, Aquila, Vuus, and Accipitres.
Founding Species: Cybernetically Enhanced Humans (Collectively referred to as Sapients despite their differences in build and function) although with the pairing of some of the oldest synthetic constructs.
Other Species: Synthetics are constucts that would find themselves placed as mechanical mockeries of naturally produced life. These are robots and complex collections of code that function with their own consciousness. They make up a small percentage of the Confessor's population, especially the reality based ones, but are often relegated to administration and logistic areas to be used as comrades.
Unaugmented, these are a smaller group within the Confessors than even the Sythetics. While a large group of unaugmented live under the protection of the Confessors relatively few actually exist on the worlds claimed by the Brotherhood than on their vassal worlds. These serve only as the recruitment pool for Sapients.

Society and Cultural information: Factbook for this!
Society Status Not totally sure on the intent of this section though, generally the group is defined by rigid function made form and purposes within the Confessors.
Languages Binaric which is covered in the Factbook and Galactic Common.
Economy: 7. While capable of an almost past-scarcity economy the economy itself is built more around the creation of weaponry and the technology needed to sustain the individual models within the troops and faction. However, this has lead the Brotherhood with little to no consumer goods to trade with exterior factions and an inflexibility that relegates it to a constant 'Total War' economy.
Industry: Typically the Confessors are centered around Cybernetic enhancements and technology related to such things. Further use is typically denoted to the mass-production of firearms and weaponry although one can see the faint production of 'civilian' field goods merely to add to the populations of humans within the Confessor's sphere of influence to help support and uplift them.
Production/Construction: I'm not totally sure here but in large scale manners, creation more for the whole than the individual and especially producing in things as large as continents.
Soopah Powah: I'm not much of a fan of this but I'd classify the Confessors as a sort of Military/Technological one.
Specialties/Advanced Sciences: Generally centered around Medicine, Cybernetics, and Weapon production.
Strengths: Highly Mobile military forces, Vastly defended planets, radical speciesism, and almost eternally total war economy.
Weaknesses: Inflexible doctrines and economy, and largely stigmatized as violent supremacists.

Map Claim Size: 6. They control ten planets/moons but have relatively little interest in holding ground otherwise aside from staging points and protecting human groups as vassals.
Grid Coordinates: Alpha: R,F: J,J
Beta: P,B : G,D
Delta: P,G : W,L
Gamma: S,U
I know, a little scattered about, but this is more for the group to function as a large scale military force to control, hold and ultimately purge areas of the Galaxy before relocating to another moon.
Map Claim Color: Silver/Grey
Holdings/Territory: Actually covered in the planets of note section. There's a few areas of vassal states but they are loosely confederated to the Confessors.
Colonization/expansion:
The Confessors do not 'colonize' worlds in the typical sense that others would go about. They do not go to lengths to deliver numbers of civilians in the middle of a backwater system with the bare glimpse of survival. Instead they look at planets and decide whether it is strategically close enough to enemy systems to provide a regional power, stabilize human populations nearby, support said populations in the even of a tragic event, and support each other when the need arises or simply decide that it has plenty of materials to be used for the war effort, or that the planet has a group of people to serve as a 'vassal' state.
However, the main decision is about one of the gradual assimilation of a planet as a garrison post (Read colony). If a Legio deems a planet much more beneficial than the one they already have (Each Legio already has a garrison planet to stage and repair from) in the majority or all of the before mentioned catagories, then the previous planet undergoes a radical change. The manufactories are removed from their foundations and experience a radical change in purpose. The reactors that previously fueled furnaces and millions of slaving automata are instead repurposed for powering a massive array of engines that are literally jury-rigged to the building. Resources of the planet is then loaded into the gargantuan craft before they gradually begin their voyage to their new world.
In the meantime, pacification forces have already arrived via jump to the new planet in gradual waves. The first wave is the most combat oriented, its numbers in the hundreds of combat ships with special emphasis on dreadnought deployment. Orbital dominance is achieved using the initial elements and the opening stages of ground deployment begin. Troop carriers in the thousands deploy the full marine compliment of the fleet to the ground. Said transports are then used to build the firebases and staging areas of the soldiers. The garrisons of those posts then begin a pattern of systemic genocide to eliminate the most prevalent lifeforms. This includes everything from trees, to insects, to the dominant sentient species. The entire biosphere is put on the chopping block.
Secondary waves soon arrive, often within five months, this time composed of massive landers filled to the brim with construction automata and the supplies needed for such. Under guard from the marine detachments, these contingents of workers proceed to excavate the landing areas for the manufactories and creating the initial framework of the planet's infrastructure. Orbital docks and defenses are towed into place and placed on line, expediting the process. Often times the first wave will now depart to purge the rest of the system and bombard immediate rocky planets to ensure no alien life can threaten the garrison.
Several years later the third wave arrives bringing with it the manufactories from the garrison world. These are then put into orbit and given a destabilized orbit to allow the structure to begin a gradual descent. Towing cables are created between orbiting ships to slowly bring the structure into place, adjusting as needed to best cushion the crash. Seams connecting the foundations and structure are created, reactors are repurposed and engines recycled, tunnels are dug to the core to begin creation of subsurface reactors. Billions of machinery is moved into place and servitors deployed to the surface, installing them in their stations before the Hydra-Rex forms a connection and consecrates the planet with the merging of his sentience to the world.
And thats how they take worlds.
Borders are protected by routine patrols of Vanguard elements as well as intricate sensor bouys the attempt to detect the exotic particles from a jump or more natural methods of detection.
=========================================================
Foreign policy: Typically pretty xenophobic and full of gunfire. Aliens are generally spit upon and seen only to be used as target practice though the closer to humans they are, and as long as they don't have an arrogant personality, then they can work together though rather begrudgingly. Humans however they are generally bestest pals with if they can manage it, and they don't diddle with alien, providing technology lending military support and all sorts of fun stuff.
Diplomacy: Well, don't really have any at least yet. I'd rather leave that for something to play out than just arbitrally state it.
Technological Age: Hmm, that's hard. Well, something like a couple hundred years in the future. Its hard to label that though.
FTL Capabilities: Think slipspace but a little slower and with the possibility of complete annihilation. However, it is capable of dashing about almost anywhere plot demands. Generally using giant magnets to bend a hole in the fabric of reality then jump through it to wherever they want and bursting from the other side.
Inter Planetary Travel I think that's covered above.
=========================================================
Military Information: Factbook!
Doctrine: Typical Combat doctrine of the Confessors can typically be called a war of extermination as they are often time engaged with what they would call xenos filth or heretical elements. These creature often times deserve nothing of the respect a human would deserve in times of war and everything will be used against them. This can consist from orbital bombardments, engineering viral weapons, environmental warfare (Burning off the atmosphere, destroying foliage to destabilize ecosystems), and extensive genocide. Or at least on a strategic level.
On a tactical level the Confessors focus on a 'meat-grinder' approach, utilizing layers and rows of specialized combat models subdivided into maniples to engage and whittle down particular elements of the enemy until victory is achieved.
Army: All in the Factbook
Navy: All in the Factbook
Strengths: Highly effective components, disciplined and well-organized troops, intricate intelligence networks
Weaknesses: Inability to adapt, inflexible formations and tactics.

Hope that's satisfactory!
I’d like to just point out a few small things. I'm no op, so you may feel free to ignore/ not even read my criticism.
First off, your population
I personally, have one of the largest nations, with less than a trillion citizens, at a still massive 800 billion. I’m certain the only reason I was allowed to have such a large population, and a good navy was because of all of the internal dissent I have to face. Unfortunately, I don’t see any such weaknesses in your app, but correct me if I am mistaken. Your eternal war economy is simply saying “oh yeah, we’re a military powerhouse”.
Yet, do you realize that you easily outnumber the rest of our nations combined? None of our nations can even come close to the amount of influence you wield. What does inflexible economy actually mean, and how does it actually act as a detrimental factor? I’ve never heard of an “inflexible” economy. Do you mean a state run, centrally planned economy, or is your economy somehow weakened in another way?
Your other disadvantage is “Largely stigmatized as violent supremacists.” But consider this; as you are easily 3 times the size of the rest of these RP nations, this doesn’t even matter, because if we were to unite, we still couldn’t dent you, so what’s the point? Why does it matter if you’re characterized as bloodthirsty brutes, if its the truth, and if we can’t do a single thing about it? I’m sorry, but I would personally like to see a nation with more balance, though I do admire and love your military design, and can see you’ve put lots of work into it. Kudos to you.
Also, you have 10 planets/ moons. How do you fit 1 trillion people onto a planet? This leads me to believe that you might have meant 10 billion, as opposed to 10 trillion? In which case, my whole block of text above is invalid, and I would have no further objections. And of course, I personally would love to expand my population into the trillions myself, but considering that the average population in this RP is around the 30 billion mark or so, that wouldn't be very fair.

And I certainly take that with a grain of salt.
I'll address each paragraph as a point.
1) I certainly understand the issues with population and will adjust as demanded. I admit it was more of a ballpark toss that simply threw things out instead of actually looking over other apps to get an idea. My bad. However, on that same point, you can only expect at most a trillion ever deployed into combat. Legios are these massive organizations arranging millions of automated combat drones and sapients against often times a single swath of space and are incredibly slow moving as they have to almost OCD'ly purge alien worlds of possible threats of sapient life forms. Expect tons of NPC's to die. Oh, and the inflexible economy means that they have no ability to really transition into a post-war economy to provide for vassal states or people or even other nations. Its the bread or bullets thing expect they've only taken bullets. Not to mention every aspect of it is dictated by the Triumvirate handed down to Factory heads and regional Domini,
2) Oh, you can certainly take everything against them but at the fact that smaller forces can and will outmaneuver a numerically superior force especially one that is as divided as mine. Look at where I'm placed. I have one planet in Gamma and two in every other one. Often time at opposite borders of each other. Or when you consider that space combat and arrangement is dramatically different than the combat we face now.
3) Also, you'd be surprised with high density urban sprawl, inter-crust tunnel systems and etc. Again though, each trillion organized to each often times isn't even present. They are off galavanting in space, exterminating xenos and such. However, if needed I'll drop to somewhere around 100 billion. That leaves me ten billion per planet and often times vacant.

I'm not taking any APs this year, which I feel bad about since it's junior year. Last year was APUSGOPO, our teacher broke his back halfway through the year, so we got a sub. Because of that, I only got a three on the exam sad face. Next year I'm taking APES.
