Any Questions from the Public to be answered?
- Why do you remain independent? I have failed to find a political party that supports my interests
- Why did you get into politics? I became interested in politics quite recently in university when I became aware of a lack of proper respect towards educators and scientists by politicians.
- Do you like being a politician? Are you satisfied with your job?
I'm incredibly humbled that the people of this nation decided to elect me to represent them in the senate, especially as I ran without the backing of any political party. I'm incredibly satisfied with being a politician.- Do you really think that a young nation like Aurentina can afford a space program? Yes. I believe the current economic situation allows for the creation of a small space program, that with assistance from the European Space Agency can grow to have a large presence in space exploration. I also think that we should offer tax breaks to companies involved in the development of technologies for use in space and the multitude of private companies that are now interested in space whether it be for transport, tourism, mining or other reasons.
- Why are you so fit? I've kept an active work and exercise schedule most of my life and in recent years have began enjoying taking parts in marathons and hikes for charity. I think that an active and healthy body helps create a clear mindset.
- What are the opinions of Senators on the proposal to have Syria hand over its chemical weapon arsenal over to international authorities for destruction? I think it is a marvelous idea that avoids military intervention. If the International Community can secure and destroy these chemical weapons it ensures that the regime cannot use them in the future whilst also completely removing the possibility that a storage facility might be captured by extremist elements in the country.
