To be submitted to queue:

Ratification of the United Nations Charter
Urgency: High | Author: Minister Robert Glasgia [MSP] | Category: International Development | Co-sponsors: Deputy Prime Minister Wulukuno Maklohi Porunalakai [LDP], Senator James Callaghan [R-G], Minister Ivan Sallustro [LDP], Minister James Fulflood [LDP] , President Guy Britanno [Ind.]

Recognising the benefits of a world at peace, this senate must understand that the United Nations is an organisation committed to keeping peace. This senate must also recognise that the United Nations is an organisation with many branches, all committed to worldwide prosperity. Therefore, the Commonwealth of Aurentina must take steps in order to help such an organisation in aiding those who are at a disadvantage.

Section 1: Ratification
The senate hereby ratifies the "United Nations Charter" and allows for the Foreign Ministry to begin negotiations to join the United Nations.

Section 2: The International Monetary Fund
This senate must realise that no economy is perfect. If we aid countries in their time of need, they can aid us in ours. Therefore, by this act, this senate also ratifies the “Articles of Agreement” of the “International Monetary Fund”, “International Bank for Development and Reconstruction” and the “International Development Association”, allowing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to begin negotiations with all organisations mentioned in this clause. This act also states that the Ministry of Treasury and Finance must, unless exempt from doing so by agreement of the organisation, set aside a section of their budget to meet quotas from said organisations.

Section 3: Associated Organisations
This act also ratifies treaties and conventions of the following organisations: “The Food and Agriculture Organization”; "The World Trade Organization”; “The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change”; “The International Atomic Energy Agency”; “The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development”; “The International Telecommunications Union”; “The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization”; “The World Meteorological Organization”; “The World Tourism Organization”; “The Universal Postal Union”; “The Convention on the Law of the Sea”; “The Convention on International Civil Aviation”; “All 190 Statues, Treaties and Conventions of the International Labour Organization”; “The Safety of Life at Sea Convention”; “The Convention on the International Maritime Organization”; “The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade”; “The Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, and its additional protocols”; “The United Nations Convention against Corruption”; “The Constitution of the World Health Organization”; “The Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer”; and “The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer”.

Section 4: Appointment of Representatives
As to ensure national interests are represented in the aforementioned organisations, a senior ambassador along with a appropriate team of representatives will be appointed to each organ of the aforementioned treaties by the President or Minister of Foreign Affairs under advice and consent of the senate. The President or Minister of Foreign Affairs may withdraw these representatives at any given moment. All the representatives will have rank equivalent to diplomat with exception of ambassadors. Salaries and expenses of these representatives will be paid by the state.
