The Mulcahey City University football team, better known as the Cabbies, improved to 3-0 and is now ranked 2nd in the division of independents and 2nd overall.
The game began well enough with a quick touchdown and field goal combo, between which SHCAX turned the ball over on downs. Just a quarter gone in the game and already 10-0 against a team that had yet to score this season. Quarterback Stuart Frain continued to connect with everyone that he passed the ball to in the second quarter, and there came another touchdown from a 26 yard pass with subsequent 27 yard run by Kent Jillson. Frain was 17/18 in the first half with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions.
The second half of the game became a Cabbies field-goalapalooza. Kicker Chase Dentremont nailed all five attempts. The distances were 37, 41, 42, 44 and a spectacular 55 yard kick.
Slack defending by the Cabbies allowed SHCAX a late touchdown, their first score of the season, and head coach Hank Kingsley was overheard to say 'HEY NOW I AM PISSED OFF ABOUT THAT!'.
