I'll have to take a look at the littering one, I wasn't aware of it.

There are no animal rights in those bills that I was aware of. Also the Cork Oak act is an act that helps the economy as well. The NFSA just helps enforce Prussia's act as well.

Nor am I. I am practically anti-environment. I support privatised national parks and no laws for littering, hunting, etc. Which is why I wrote the environmental bill, to make sure at least one was reasonable.

The Animal Protection Act and Animal Protection Force would only prevent abuse of animals. They allow for the vast majority of industries and practices using animals (many of which I would say are undeniably abusive) to continue. There really isn't any reason to oppose those bills unless you like the fact that someone can currently torture animals without any legal consequences. The rest of the bills promote the ecological stability of the nation, which is in the best interests of everyone for lives in Aurentina.

Why would i ever favor ecological stability? Nature gives me nothing but disease, misquitos, and storms. I say its time we fight back against nature!

My environmental bill is the most moderate it can possibly be. It actually allows business and farming within parks, which is pretty fucking impressive. And others suggested much higher fines, and even jail time for beating animals.

I seriously doubt game wardens are going to fine people for stepping on a bug.

OTOH, an exemption for insects and things which appear to be insects could prevent a drone operator from suing someone for disabling their surveillance drone while trying to swap what they thought was a bug away from their picnic table.

ETA: I see Pruss fixed thsi, but it's important to note for future legislation, too, perhaps.

Thank you. I believe I will be opposing most of the rest other than the NFSA. The APA, for one, has over-the-top penalties.
Please suggest better penalties if it isn't too much trouble. I'm a coauthor and have been granted leeway from the main author to edit it in any way that will help it pass.

The Currency Reference Interim Clarification Act has enough sponsors to be added to Business and Finance.

Currency Reference Interim Clarification Act
Urgency: High | Author: Oneracon [RG] | Category: Business and Finance
Co-sponsors: Yanalia [RG], Free South Califas [C], Venaleria [RG], Geilinor [LD], Prussia-Steinbach [PC], New Zepuha [PC]

The Senate of the Aurentine Commonwealth,

DISMAYED at the current confusion over currency references in Aurentine laws;

AFFIRMING the need for either an officially named Aurentine currency, as a successor to the largely ignored "Credit Unit" defined by the Finance Act of 2013, or a decision on the official use of a foreign currency;

FURTHER AFFIRMING the need for mass amendments to ensure all currency references will refer to this new currency arrangement;

NONETHELESS NOTING that an interim measure is required until such time as a decision is reached;

HEREBY enacts the following;

    Usage of Pounds
  1. All references to "pound" in relation to currency value shall be recognized as referring to the Pound Sterling (ISO 4217 currency code: GBP) and not another currency of a similar name.
  2. Any usage of "£" in a currency value shall be recognized as denoting a value in Pounds Sterling (ISO 4217 currency code: GBP) and not in another currency which uses a similar currency sign.

    Usage of Dollars
  3. All references to "dollar" in relation to currency value shall be recognized as referring to the United States Dollar (ISO 4217 currency code: USD) and not another currency of a similar name.
  4. Any usage of "$" in a currency value shall be recognized as denoting a value in United States Dollars (ISO 4217 currency code: USD) and not in another currency which uses a similar currency sign.

    Status as Legal Tender
  5. The Pound Sterling and United States Dollar shall be accepted as legal payment for all debts, public and private.

    Applicability
  6. The provisions of this Act shall apply to the interpretation of all Acts passed by the Senate of the Aurentine Commonwealth.

For the one we finished voting on while I was interim PpT, I think I made a note that the bills had been voted on, but kept them in the post for reference. Since archiving is such a mess right now, I haven't thought of a better solution since then, for my part.

The loggerhead turtle and cork oak bills are just endangered species protections. I don't know if Regnum is opposed to those too.

I don't want to make accusations, but I feel like he might have only read the bill titles...
