The General Assembly,
Noting that the WorAss is plusgood, and that Big Sister is doubleplusgood,
Belieiving that crimethink is doubleplusungood, as it is a betrayal of the nurturing bosom of Big Sister and the WorAss,
Contending that MembNats should speedwise eliminate oldthink and embrace goodthink,
And to this end resolves;
- Thoughtcrime against the WorAss shall be prohibited; only goodthink is permitted;
- MembNats will embrace blackwhite, and accept the commands of the WorAss as doubleplusgood, for all of the commands of the WorAss are doubleplusgood;
- Establishes the International Narcs & Gendarme for Sorting Out Crimethink (INGSOC), which shall be responsible for enforcing WorAss doctrine and vaporizing thought criminals;
- Vaporized thought criminals shall henceforth be referred to as unpersons, who shall not be considered to have existed, and therefore, neither shall this clause.
With all the talk of freedom of thought, I figured that I could never let such radical ideals compromise the thought purity of the World Assembly. And so I've written what I think is an appropriate solution. I'd ask for your criticisms, but then you'd be committing thoughtcrime...
