The Adrian Empire is really too polite for such things as slurs, aside from a large percentage of people still referring to people of African descent as Negroes, and of Asian descent Orientals and so on. Of course, they never received the negative connotations they have now in the Empire, as our history has been largely free of any racial tension. Most potentially offensive terms are usually accepted into the public eye.
Merians for instance are sometimes referred to as Elves, due to their near identical appearance, however this is not at all considered offensive, in fact complimentary, since classic elven depictions are of beautiful intelligent creatures, this as far accepted that Merian Military often refer to themselves as the Elven Guard.
There is but one real slur in the Empire
Orsimer are sometimes refered to as Orcs, which is really our sole domestic ethnic slur. The Orsimer were once splintered orc clans who had developed into a greater species and became capable of forming a civilization apart form the rest of the war-like orcs, they soon joined the Empire for protection, unfortunately due to the long hostility against the orcs (most Imperial Citizens have at one time or another fought against the Orcs) the orsimer faced hostility from citizens who saw them as the same as Orcs, calling an Orsimer an orc would be in line with calling a human, a monkey or an ape. It is simply offensive to be referred to as something that you have grown beyond.
For International Slurs,
-We have a tendency to call anyone we don't agree with economically from another country a commie, regardless of whether they are indeed communist. Though we aren't ignorant so much as so far right that any point past centre iz ebul komunism.
-We also have a tendency to use patronizing phrasing towards any nation we don't respect or find to be immoral.
