THE ACRADDIAN HOST BID;
BLESSAVILLE, ACRADDIA

(Image)
The theme that has been chosen for the contest is 'Immerse Yourself', which has been left as unspecified and unrelated to any specific object or concept to leave it open and applicable to all sorts of aspects of your life. It allows for a wider interpretation to be made by the individual; and is merely an ancient Accradian saying which basically means that you should immerse yourself in all aspects of your life.
The mythical creature that is featured on the logo is one taken directly from Accradian mythology and is known locally as the 'Bestallez'. Legend has it that the creature once held Princess Lilliana captive for three weeks, before releasing her in exchange for pure knowledge. It was then that he returned to the kingdom with new knowledge, and had discovered the secret to true happiness; which was, of course, immersing oneself into all aspects of their life.

(Image)
The city of Blessaville is known as 'the city of the countryside', based on its strange make up. Although technically an urban area, the city is surrounded by miles and miles of countryside, and even the city itself has parks, green spaces, woods, a river and other typically rural features within the walls. The city itself is one of the ancient kingdoms that make up the newly formed nation of Acraddia, and has been a city since its settlement in the early 3rd century, and has been a stronghold ever since. Because of its ancient history, the city's architecture is hugely varied; with many of the buildings dating back to the Medieval period and the 19th Century. Many people comment on how effortlessly both the rural and urban intermingle, but also how well linked the modern and the old are - with many high street stores having shops within the old buildings.
The city provides those that visit it with a sense of relaxation; with this aspect placed highly upon both the agenda of the city's citizens but also the people of Acraddia. Whilst visiting, one should note the abundance of street performers and artists; taking advantage of the rural settings to make the most of their time. Blessaville is famed for its easy quality of life and the fresh air; with little pollution about. At night, the true wonders of the city come alive when the stars in the sky become visible. Due to its geographical position, some of the stars are appear a lot brighter and clearer than in further off places and visitors should ensure they spend at least one night looking at the stars.

(Image)
When arriving in Blessaville, the easiest way in is Blessaville International Airport; an ultra modern airport approximately 15 minutes from the city centre. The airport supports flights to hundreds of destinations meaning that there will be at least one departing flight from your country each day to ensure easy arrival.
The transport system within Blessaville is integrated not only with the other forms of public transport, but also with daily life. This has made the use of cars almost redundant within the city; with less than 10% of the city's population actually owning one. Most people prefer to use the extensive tram service that runs throughout the city linking all parts as one. As well as this, is the buses which run on a ten-minute schedule and with all routes linking back to the centre of the city. Should one feel like the surface is not for them, they can take on the extensively built network of underground trains with three main tracks running across the city, with a new train arriving at a station every 5 minutes.
For those wishing to travel further afield and explore more of Acraddia, then the De Mastle Train service is exactly for you; famous for its picturesque routes many people often look forward to the journey just as much as the final destination. There are two stations in the city where this service runs from; one from the airport directly and then a further one from Blessaville Central.

(Image)
The city boasts some of the best hotels, cottages, caravans, campsites and apartments that Acraddia has to offer; with ranges suitable for all types of budget. Whether you're after a 5* city pad with all modcons and a spa to boot, or a relaxing cabin in the woods with little more than a fire and a bed; Blessaville can accommodate your needs. Be sure to book early though, because its sure to fill up extremely quickly!
A lot of the accommodation available is bespoke and unique in itself; such as the Blessavillan Wood Cabin as seen in the pictures; with no others being found in the city. As well as this, is the opportunity to stay in some of the oldest buildings in Acraddia; such as Chateau de Orme and Blessaville Castle, one of the uniquest opportunities for accommodation in the world.

(Image)
With its reputation as the 'city of the countryside', many of the activities that are on offer in Blessaville are typically associated with that of rural areas. Take a picnic in the Machant Hills, or a walk through the Forest of the Eyes; famed worldwide for the mysterious eye paintings that can be found all over the trees. Or maybe you're more of a sporty type; try whitewater rafting in the River Arche or a spot of golf on the world renowned Plaza de Golf - the biggest golf course in all of Acraddia.
There are, however, some typically city activities that can be done. Shopping is a major draw of the city; specifically Raxicon Street famed for its vintage and retro clothes and Cardion Jardin, filled with stylish designers and boutiques galore. Whilst exploring the streets, you'll notice many street performers, filling the area with sweet music and the air with the sounds of melodies and harmonies. There's even a thriving nightlife in the city, with a huge range of themed nightclubs, pubs, cafes and restaurants that make the city come alive at night.

(Image)
The arena; known as Outdoorsica, makes good use of the fantastic Acraddian summer by maximising the use of the outdoor space. Those who say wish can pay to have a seat under the cover and close to the stage, and experience what would be considered as the 'classical contest experience'. For a lower price, one can buy a ticket and merely turn up with a picnic basket and towel and take a seat on the grass. With hundreds of screens and loud speakers set throughout the area, wherever anyone chooses to sit they can see and hear the contest as if they were sat at the very front. Should the weather turn, which is highly unlikely, there are huge marquees set up in various areas to house audience members until the rain subsides.

(Image)
The stage is ultra modern - fitted with LED lighting throughout to create a continuous flow of light that can be used almost as a screen there are that many lightbulbs throughout. Behind, standing directly across the backdrop is a giant screen that is an opening door, which performers can use to enter or leave should they so desire. To the sides of the stage are a set of stairs that can be climbed by performers if they wanted to. The stage itself stretches far into the audience, moving into a catwalk of sorts, with the audience seated on both sides of the part that sticks out; allowing the performer to fully immerse themselves in the performance, as per the motto of the contest.

I quite liked this. Just one question, what are the postcards going to look like?
Did I miss that?

As opposed to Yakostan's singing sheep, these entrants will be allowed in the green room, as they are sapient. Just wanted to make it clear.

Also, it appears there's many more nations competing for the bid... wait, is the limit 1 bid per nation or 1 bid per user?

Rebecca Meade and Hayden Jarvies

After a 5-song national final and a title change, the song "Bukás Véd" (I Swear I'm Fine) has been chosen. Originally written for a different artist as part of an anti-suicide campaign, it is now the entry into Worldvision, with a "unique and straightforward" performance planned by choreographer Arnold De La Rosa. We hope you enjoy! The song can be heard here.

But if you don't have it, you are not going to win. :P Just see me and my attempts for having lap dancers wearing national costumes last bid during the song of that country. Oy...

I can't find any decent stage designs anywhere, sigh :( Luziyca do you really mind if we keep the same stage? It won't really have a detrimental effect on either.

As per the postcards, I haven't included them in the host bid as I wanted to keep it as a surprise ;) you'd have to vote for this bid and for it to win to see the postcards

If you must (we can assume it came from the same company, with similar designs, except maybe yours was the Budget version, which while very quick to set up (only 15 minutes), it could fall apart at any time). But I recommend some wonderful designs.

Hell, I can say that maybe for WorldVision 27, most stages could've come from Intellistage, owned by the same company that owns one of the largest big box stores in the country (Karshev's). From our stage, to maybe your stage, Acraddia, to those who wish to get stages from there... :P

Crolacian WV27 hostbid
Springfield, Crolacian capital city, is inhabited by more than 2 million people and it is a true metropolis of cultures and thoughts. Springfield is bidding to host the 27th edition of the prestigious WorldVision Song Contest. It could serve as a perfect host city, with its' big transportation system, futurism and entertainment which is ranked highly every year. This edition's slogan is ''colour your music''. When we listen to music, we have thoughts about it and we oftenly do something beside it. Colours are there to say if we are sad, if we are happy and music combined with colours will give us a fun and artistic experience.

Culture
Image
Springfield is a multicultural city with rich history. It was founded more than 1500 years ago, as a small fishing village but soon became the capital of Crolacian Kingdom. During the years it became one of the best known cities in Europe (region where Crolacia is situated in) with its' beautiful landmarks which are known all around the world. One of the probably best known is the Erth Tower which is situated on the King Olaf's Square, Springfield's main one. The Erth is known for it's big clock and famous bells which ring every hour. Other landmarks include the Poelskje Palace in which the Royal Family lives, but also the archaeological ruins dating right from Springfield's starts. Springfield is a multicultural city, so everyone are very tolerant and open about themselves. One of the big annual parade is actually the Springfield Pride parade where members of LGBT community share their pride with others. Crolacians are generally known from their kindness and openess, so everyone will try to help you. Young Springfielders are also known as party animals, with many festivals and concerts being hosted in Springfield throught the year. Springfield is also one of the greenest cities in the region, having many beautiful parks which take your breath away.

Transportation
Image
Springfield is a city of more than 2 million people so it has an excellent transportation system. The Bury International Airport serves as a major airport for the whole region. Around 20 million people pass through it every year and it is an important link to countries. Getting around Springfield is easy. There are maps and tips on how to get around at every major road. Springfield is known for its' eco-awarness and many Springfielders go to work by bikes rather than cars. You can rent a bike or enjoy the ride in one of the tramways. You can also travel by bus which are very comfortable or you can take a ride by green taxi. Springfield is known in the world for its' green taxis, not only because they are green, but because they are all electrical cars.

Accomodation
Image
Springfield offers a variety of accomodation options, such as apartments, hostels and hotels. Probably one of the best known hotel in Springfield is the five-star Kingston placed in wider city centre with many possibilities such as wellness, massage treatments, sound treatmens and higly decorated rooms which suit kings and queens. The hotel also houses a conference centre so any press conferences regaring WorldVision can be done there. All delegations will get the best treatment in the Kingston and a tour around Crolacia, all of which will be free.

Venue, Stage & the Green Room
Image
The newly built Love Arena is an excellent host for WorldVision because it can seat up to 80,000 people and offers very artistic and exciting things such as hosting concerts, football matches & so on. The Love Arena was built in 2012, thus becoming the biggest Crolacian venue. It's futuristic architectural design makes it shine- literally! It has LED lights so it can shine in any colour or shape. It has a movable roof so viewers can enjoy in sun on football games and in dazzling stage lights at concerts.

Image
The stage will be set up artisticly and will not be symetrical because music can impact us on any way and colours and lead us into any direction, so the stage will feature a main stage, curved extension and a smaller stage. But this stage won't have LED lights as other stages used to. It will have highly sharp projectors which will be project videos, pictures et cetera. It will be better than LED lights because the pictures, for example, will be more sharp and of higher quality (these were used in ESC2013).

Image
Green rooms will be set behind the stage, with every delegation having its' own small room. The lights will be set up by their wish much as our slogan says: ''Colour your music!" The rooms will have a sofa with water and organic cookies available for delegations to enjoy in. Every delegation will have the possibility to bring anything into their rooms and we will be happy to fulfill any wishes they might have. There will be a place set up for animals in case they are part of performances.

Postcard
We are trying to keep everything modern and new, so the postcard will, for the first time in WV history, be videos, not pictures! The video will feature the artist of country that is next to perform and short information about the nation and the artist. We decided we want to highlight artists and songs because they are the most important aspects of the WorldVision.

No. You just give me a link of a video of a famous person from your country, even though it would be logical if it was your artist. That's all you have to do. I'll then add music and information.

So for example if your artist looks liek Rihanna (is Rihanna but with a different name) you just give me a link from YouTube of her video by your wish and then I will add everything else. If someone doesn't know how his famous person would look like or if he doesn't want it, I'll design a video for that country myself.

Originally I was going to do this, but I decided not to (due to the number of participants and lack of time) but I will do it if I get to host the WHF.

So I suppose today is the deadline for submitting host bids, and voting is due to start soon.

I used videos as postcards in WV25 when I hosted the contest. It's a pain in the ass to put together, but it looks nice in the long run :)

It sure is. But knowing my past record in regards to such things, I have some doubts that I'll win. But I do hope that I will win. I mean, I really want to get an opening act that is significantly different. :)

And by different, I mean that it will blur the line between an opening act in Eurovision, and an opening ceremony in the Olympic games.
