Introduction

This is the 2013 inaugural season of the Buyan United Rugby League, containing the top flights from the archipelago of Buyan. It will feature the teams that previously competed in local or regional competitions at a completely new national level. Respectively the Westerklasse (containing teams from the islands of Ravner, Felder and Trovne), the Mullsphall Division, the Serkau-Baskin Challenge, the Valneda League and the Northern Islands Competition (containing teams from the islands of Haemiilu, Kausola and Kulmarae) are brought together. From those leagues, fifty-two teams have been qualified and classified into three brand new levels.

During the first half of the season, ten main teams will partake in the First Division. Twelve other squads are positioned into the Second Division and there are three Third Divisions which will each feature ten teams.

The six best teams from the First Division partake in the Premier League, where the decision will be made over the new champion and the names of three of the four Seasogs qualifiers. The remaining four teams will be joined by eight teams from the Second Division into Promotion League East and Promotion League West, each containing six squads. The four last teams of the Second Division are joined by the top two of each Third Division and positioned into two Promotion Groups of five teams. The remaining 24 squads from the Third Division are placed into the six different Cup Groups, of which the winner qualifies for the First Round of the Buyan Cup along with the teams from the Promotion Groups. The knock-out winners advance to the Second Round along with the teams from the Promotion Leagues. The winners of this phase meet the teams from the Premier League in the Third Round, which determines the quarterfinalists of the Buyan Cup. The winner of the Buyan Cup (or the finalist) gains the fourth spot into the international Seasogs competition.

In a packed Fjellsidenarena, they leave no chance to Zeimgava after a dominant and inspired display, with both Johan Ullevallsetter and Kjetil Dokken showing their best side.

MD 2
Zeimgava Warriors 28–24 Jurbiskis Wisents
Bengtsmark Braves 10–3 UTR Pajukas
Fram Kallsmudden 15–0 Pajukas Heart

Kallsmudden demonstrates that their first position was not a fluke. Pajukas Heart might have shown a lot of passion and enthusiasm so far already, they could not cope with the tactically superior defence from the Ravnar-based team. In the meanwhile, UTR Pajukas gets upset by the Braves, who were pushed back on their own side of the field for most of the game, but Gunnarson demonstrated his quick legs at the good moment and kept the three points at home.

MD 3
Pajukas Heart 32–3 Zeimgava Warriors
UTR Pajukas 8–10 Fram Kallsmudden
Jurbiskis Wisents 0–18 Bengtsmark Braves

While both Heart and Bengtsmark took massive victories, the clash of the matchday was to be witnessed in a sold out Parkas Laukis. Fram Kallsmudden and UTR Pajukas balanced each other out in the various fields of the noble game, but as time went by, it appeared to be Fram who had the better stamina. UTR couldn’t recover from a marvellous try by Haukland and realised that the champions’ dream was further away than ever.

MD 4
Zeimgava Warriors 14–7 Bengtsmark Braves
Fram Kallsmudden 13–17 Jurbiskis Wisents
Pajukas Heart 3–13 UTR Pajukas

The conclusions from the third matchday appeared to be the lies from the following one. UTR could fight themselves back into it by grabbing three points in the lion’s pit named Eile Medziu in front of an ecstatic crowd. At the same time, Jurbiskis halted the excellent start from Kallsmudden, ensuring in the same movement that they still stood a chance at a Seasogs ticket themselves.

MD 5
UTR Pajukas 20–9 Zeimgava Warriors
Jurbiskis Wisents 19–15 Pajukas Heart
Bengtsmark Braves 18–8 Fram Kallsmudden

The blitzstart from Kallsmudden is already forgotten as they cannot take any points against the Bengtsmark Braves. Sven Ekblad is the hero of this game with two tries, which results in a first place for the guys from the Mullsphall capital halfway. But everything is yet to play for, as witnessed by the form from UTR and the spirit in the comeback from the Wisents.

After six games, we are back at our starting point. It’s an incredible realisation, but that’s just the way it is in the Buyan Premier League. However, the mental advantage seems to be in the hands of Jurbiskis, that convincingly came out on top against UTR Pajukas, with Cesnauskis as man of the match. Bengtsmark Braves was close to a lead, but Heart kept on battling till the last minute as they conversed that important last kick.

MD 7
Jurbiskis Wisents 24–13 Zeimgava Warriors
UTR Pajukas 10–21 Bengtsmark Braves
Pajukas Heart 19–20 Fram Kallsmudden

Making any conclusions about this mad adventure named the Buyan Premier League would be delusional, but the bookies are starting to look more and more towards Jurbiskis Wisents. In I Kareivines, they dominated the Warriors on all fronts, only letting go off the reins during the last quarter. The ambitions of UTR got a serious dent in the meanwhile, as the Braves continued their fine form.

MD 8
Zeimgava Warriors 5–16 Pajukas Heart
Fram Kallsmudden 6–19 UTR Pajukas
Bengtsmark Braves 25–17 Jurbiskis Wisents

In a direct duel for the lead against the Wisents, the Bengtsmark Braves made the Rampartenstadion tremble on its foundations. No less than three tries from Gunnarson moved the game towards the direction of the Braves and forced the Wisents to chase the ball from the first till the last minute. With two games left on the schedule, Bengtsmark takes an interesting lead, especially with a home game against the team in last position on the agenda.

MD 9
Bengtsmark Braves 12–3 Zeimgava Warriors
Jurbiskis Wisents 16–26 Fram Kallsmudden

The Mullsphall team was not to be beaten, supported by a massive crowd and lead out by the experienced fullback Hjalmar Skold. With an early try by Ekblad, they got in front and the Warriors lacked the spirit to make a countermove. Fram Kallsmudden have an important punch in the battle for the Seasogs tickets by taking on the Wisents at their own stadium and is the only that can still threaten the Braves. UTR will not fulfil its goal from the start of the season, losing points in the derby was lethal for their ambitions.

MD 10
Zeimgava Warriors 8–17 UTR Pajukas
Pajukas Heart 13–18 Jurbiskis Wisents

Although the scoreline seems to indicate a tight game, it only became a coinflip during the last minutes of the game. Before, the Bengtsmark Braves played like a true champion and hardly made a mistake, witnessed by the way scrum half Lindquist send his team to the other side of the pitch. Kallsmudden regained hope when Jakob Solbakken could make use of a bad pass in the defence of the Braves, but the title remained in the hands of Bengtsmark. The Seasogs ticket will be a consolation and they will be joined there by UTR Pajukas, that simply was the better team against a demoralised Zeimgava.

Promotion League East

Fortuna Harseni quickly took the lead in this Promotion Group and would consequently keep that position until the eight matchday, battling for the promotion positions along with Tikhovesi RK and Sisu Siklapaa, as Kuranki Lightning lost four of its first six games and failed to demonstrate that they are a worthy top flight team at any moment.
Tikhovesi, having played a very mediocre season in the Second Division, kept their nerves together the best and ensured promotion on the ninth matchday, hereby replacing fellow Haemiilu team Kuranki. The second spot would be decided on the field of Sisu Siklapaa, where they faced Fortuna Harseni. Harseni quickly came in front carried by an empowered Elmar Keskula and Sisu couldn’t close the gap which resulted in a 12-18 defeat for the black-and-white. Fortuna holds on to ensure the Kulmarae pride in the First Division.

Promotion League West

Disaster struck for the two Trovne-based teams in the Promotion League West. Grephel Dragons, who managed to add a title in the Second Division to their roll of honours, had clearly spend their best forces in the first part of the season. After winning the opening game against Feldhammer, they lost four games in a row and their dreams of promotion.
Verein Grunshoffen, on the other hand, demonstrated that their final streak in the First Division, containing victories against Fram Kallsmudden, the Wisents and Pajukas Heart, wasn’t a fluke with twelve points out of their first five games. But a loss against Ciegnalki due to a last-second try caused their engine to stall and eventually crash. Still in first position, they lost to Vadshult Union on the tenth matchday, while both Stal Ciegnalki and Feldhammer Adler grabbed three points and ensured promotion. Stal Ciegnalki will be the first Baskin-based team in the First Division and got rewarded for a rather consistent season. Feldhammer Adler is going to be the first team to represent Felder in the top flight, being rewarded for a second spot in both competitions. Apart from Grunshoffen, we also wave goodbye to Waldica, the Serkau side that shook the big boys every once and a while but failed to demonstrate the needed consistency to make it in the top league.

A great day for the Mullsphall rugby fans, as Bengtsmark City, a very young team from the islands capital, once again manages to fight all odds and moves up one flight. Tjallimvarner holds on to their spot, but has to realise that relegation came too close for comfort.

The Cup offers a chance for some teams to add some dash to a colourless or even disastrous season. Rugby Norderud and Zaipis Rovers, the two teams that relegated from the Second Division, certainly took that opportunity and qualified for the next round, although only by a slim margin in case of the latter. Further, we see success for some Mullsphaller teams such as Gimboda Brage, Bengtsmark City and Spartakus Vannarby, while Fremad Tjelberg continues on its positive vibe from the freshly earned promotion. Karzsmisko Tigers got its revenge against Tjallimvarner, while the surprise of the First Round might be Dyatinsk Rugby, the Urka-based side that dominated against Kuranki 94.

The Second Round saw the staging of four teams that started this year in the First Division, probably dreaming about participating in the Premier League. For some of them , this round placed them with the nose on the harsh facts: they were not good enough to compete there. Wladica Rugby Club got past the Zaipis Rovers, but their performance in their very own Dolinarena wasn’t very convincing.
For two other ones, this was both the start and finish line of their Cup campaign. Fortuna Harseni might have ensured their spot in the First Division, but they got swiped by Vadshult, both away and at home. Some injuries cannot account for these blatant results. Stal Ciegnalki, on the other hand, continued their great form by overpowering Kuranki Lightning, convincing the sceptics that this Baskinian side will do well in the top division next year. The only former first divisionist that got away without loss of reputation was Verein Grunshoffen, who got out on top in a local derby against the Grephel Dragons, victor in the Second Division.

On the other side of the spectrum, we see a few teams from Third Division that are having a blast out there. Spartakus Vannarby was the underdog against Uraugai Town, but they showed that their surprise victory away wasn’t an accident and sealed the deal at home with two tries by Ake Aberg. The Karzsmisko Tigers are the second Third Divisionist that make it to the last sixteen, they complete their revenge on their Mullsphall opponents in the Promotion Group by beating Bengtsmark City, mainly due to an excellent away result.
Two other ones got very close to qualification. Underdog Dyatinsk Rugby showed some great potential against Tikhovesi, but in the end they lacked the cool and tactical wit to make it through. Fremad Tjelberg made their neighbours from Norderud sweat for the first minute to the last one, but a try from flanker Jorgensen brought them to the Third Round. The last two qualifiers are Rapid Ragema, that brings some light in a rather colourless season by eliminating Feldhammer Adler, and Sisu Siklapaa, that didn’t have the slightest problem with Gimboda Brage.

Round number three and the last teams, the squads that made it into the Premier League, are added to the wide variety of teams that are left in the tournament. With the level of the competition rising, we see the last tricks from our left over Third Divisionists. Spartakus Vannarby got simply slaughtered at home by Grunshoffen and couldn’t claim a ticket for the quarterfinals at any point of the game. However, they showed great spirit by giving all they have in Das Regenbogenstadion, resulting in a tight away game. Although we are sure we haven’t seen the last of Aberg, Nordahl and their teammates, it will be Verein Grunshoffen that continues to the next round.

Karzsmisko Tigers, on the other hand, probably couldn’t have been any happier when they saw what the scheduler had in store for them. With Sisu Siklapaa, they drew one of the lesser squads still left in the Cup. On the island of Haemiilu, they kept up with Siklapaa astonishingly well, despite the vocal support for the home team of 3.000 fans. In their very own cosy Ne Berzasstadium, they took the lead early on with a try by Zilinskas and carried by this talented flanker, they held on to the qualification. After the sour result from the season, the dream continues for them in the Cup.

Sisu got eliminated, but a second upset turned out in the advantage of a side from Haemiilu. Tikhovesi RK got, after all, the toughest draw with the brand new champion, the Bengtsmark Braves. The Braves came into this after dominating the Premier League and having only suffered one defeat in the last six games. In the Rampartenstadion, there didn’t seem to be any problem at the horizon. Although their opponent displayed a lot of courage, the Braves never came in trouble and the only reason why the scoreline was not higher was due to some coordination mistakes in the endzone. Coach Vallerthal even staged some guys who usually warm the bench for the second game, but they had underestimated their opponent. Tikhovesi RK confirmed what we already saw in Promotion League East, that they have strong nerves and the capacity to take it to the finish line when such is possible. After an early lead, Tikhovesi did not give up and Bengtsmark even failed to mark a try, causing them to drop out of the Cup.

Despite this poor performance from the Champions, there is still a Mullsphall side that stands a chance for the Buyan Cup, being Vadshult Union. They demonstrated that their blow against Fortuna wasn’t a lucky shot as they managed to take the quarterfinal ticket out of the hands of Jurbiskis Wisents. Main performer for this team was the fly half, Nils Lagerholm, who guided his team the way you would expect from someone with his array of experience. If his body manages to carry on, contrary to the first two parts of the season, he might lead them towards the surprise of this Cup.

The other duels of the Third Round went rather according to the predictions previously made by the pundits. UTR Pajukas had some trouble against Wladica, where Pluczsek showed his capacity one more time, but when the dust laid down, UTR had won both games. Zeimgava Warriors simply crushed Rapid Ragema during the away game, which allowed them to bring some youngsters at the kick-off in the Stadiona Ieleja. The second team from Pajukas, Heart, got surprised by Stal Ciegnalki and their easily trying winger Kobut, but sealed the deal during the away game in a splendid fashion. Last but not least, Fram Kallsmudden knocked themselves past Rugby Norderud, that nonetheless made clear in this Cup that their stay in Third Division might be on the rather short side.

Das Regenbogenstadion witnessed a shock defeat as the Kampfschweinen, as they are often nicknamed, failed to keep up their standard of play from the previous two rounds. Although their opponent could have been kicked out of the Second Round already, Tikhovesi RK showed that it is growing into the tournament, displaying the exact same cool and timing we’ve witnessed in the Promotion League East. After their powerful victory away, RK had the opportunity to open up the trap for Grunshoffen and Wallinger and his boys ran straight into it with great enthusiasm. However, not only tactical wit moves Tikhovesi into the semi-final. With a strong group of forwards, skilfully guided by Mart Aus, and a skilled winger such as Jaan Kallemane, they will be an interesting addition to next year’s First Division.

When is one rightfully named a giant slayer? We’ll answer this rhetorical question with a prime example that gives this Buyan Cup the little bit of pepper of any good knock-out tournament. Vadshult Union had a rather lousy season when coming into this Cup. Seventeen wins and fifteen defeats isn’t exactly the kind of record the fans were hoping for ever since the pundits named them favourite in Second Division. However, we’re a few weeks later and while they have already had the skulls of Fortuna Harseni and Jurbiskis Wisents dangling on their belt, they added the one from Zeimgava Warriors to it. This great strike might be attributed to those necessary bits of luck, but mainly to the team sculpted around Lagerholm. His teammates acted exactly according to the lines he had set out and this way, they could hang on to the advantage obtained during the away game.

The Karzsmisko Tigers were the only remaining Third Divisionist and this fact placed them heavily in the underdog position against the side that made third in the Premier League, Fram Kallsmudden. However, this became less of a walkover than the team from the capital of Ravnar would have hoped. The home team, with a key position for eightman Burczek, were determined to make the most of this game, without any doubt a height in their club history. With an try by Zilinskas early in the game, they kept the pressure on their opponent and it wasn’t until the last quarter, with a few well-placed kicks by Bakke, that Fram could take the lead. In the Fjellsidenarena, however, the gap in quality became quite clear. The quarterfinals are the terminus for Karzsmisko, but they can look back at this with pride.

Our fourth and last semifinalist was to be determined in the biggest derby from our archipelago. Ever since Pajukas Heart, with the young Harry Baranauskas already on the main squad, decided to part ways with the main team from UTR, the relation between both teams has been less than cordial. However, the games itself never got as tight as the fans –or at least those rooting for the red and white- would have hoped. With Gylys and Kacinskas in a particular good shape, Unity Through Rugby Pajukas took the lead early on, both home and away, and never got into any real trouble. As they have missed the title, the Cup is the only consolation left to make this a great season after all.

A few notes on procedure:
With 46 teams submitted from eleven leagues (nine of which had previously submitted leagues), a slightly modified solution to the last one was required.

With all entrants accepted, the top two qualifiers from the remaining nine leagues all got a bye. The rest of the qualifiers, including all from the new leagues, entered in the qualifying stage, with the winners of the randomly drawn ties making the group stage.

For the Group Stage, teams were seeded by rank, and then randomly drawn, with no two teams from the same league permitted in the same group.

The draw for the Round of Sixteen is drawn randomly so every runner-up played away to a group winner, with no two teams from the same league permitted to play each other. Remaining rounds were drawn randomly.

Congratulations to Lyra (KOR), who win the trophy at the first time a Ko-oren side has made the final with a victory in that final against the team that beat them in the semi-finals last year around. Yes, in the absence of Citizens RFC from this year's competition entirely, it seems to have been left up to Sparrowhawks to take up the consecutive final defeats mantle. The Glorious Commune appears to be on the up, however, and there really are a great deal of talented teams out there at the moment - the old boys aren't going to have it all their own way. Saugeais, Polar Islandstates, Darmen, and Tyneala; all had just a single team in the final sixteen this year - almost unthinkable just a few ago.

Super Sixteen Review

Before we look at the league results, we have a new competition to inform you of between the nations of Apox and The Licentian Isles. The Lockwood Cup has been initiated for the highest placing club from each of the top associations from the previous season to play a game to kick off the new season and decide which nation is the best (sort of). Named after George Lockwood, the most famous Apoxian rugby player, his fame nearing that of some footballers in Apox, who will be retiring at the end of the 4th season of the Super Sixteen. It will alternate between the two countries each season, with the cup being held in The Royal Stadium, Apox this year.

I: Colesham City Blues 7–0 Dwile Jerseys

Lockwood Cup I - held in the Royal Stadium, Apox
Colesham City Blues 7–0 Dwile Jerseys

Now moving to the third season of the Super Sixteen which has just finished, with yet more surprises for all involved, and new forces in rugby between the two nations rising to the fore. It was The Licentian Isles Islanders who won the title, meaning two Licentian teams have won the tournament in a row, following a late surge to win with a mammoth 90 points. This of course prompted much grumbling from the conservative elders of the Apoxian rugby world regarding Licentians not knowing there place etc etc etc, when in truth it is just that the Apoxian teams weren't good enough.

JK Memorial Squad also had a late surge to finish 2nd, maintaining their claim as the best Apoxian team around, despite not having won a title for 4 years, before the Super Sixteen had even been formed. Hudd Trolls and Dwile Jersey came next, the Trolls regaining their place in contention after a poor league showing last season. However, there were yet more surprises as Colesham City Blues and Celtic Warriors were in 5th and 6th position, meaning the Licentian Isles for the first time send the maximum number of clubs to Seasogs, though the Blues will be disappointed not to have won the a second title after leading for much of the season. Celtic Warriors just edged out Gwinevra Saints who will be disappointed by the lack of international competition, as will Northern Urbanista in 8th and Mandon Faithful in 11th.

However, it can only be good that the Licentian clubs are challenging for position now, as it will give the stagnating Apoxian rugby community the kick up the backside it needs to really improve, both domestically and internationally.

Season results: Union and League

Now that the IRLCC has been established for Rugby League teams, the Rugby Union clubs have made a competition for their League counterparts. Every RL team is backed by a RU team, and in some cases, they even share players, training facilities and staff. With the IRLCC as new for our clubs, it will be interesting to see which nations will have an early edge in this competition now that it is still open... Or is it? The IRLCC turned out to be a tournament that took place some time in the past as well, with some of the more traditional rugby nations already having some experience with it. In other nations, setting up a new RL competition also took considerably less time and effort.

Otherwise, the RUCT Seasogs is going on as always. But not completely: Lyra has won the competition! In the 16th Seasogs final, Lyra beat Muskulchi'tirhia Sparrowhawks 14-10. This has definitely attracted some attention to Rugby in Ko-oren, and still Lyra did not manage to win the championship here. Does that mean that the level here is not that bad after all, or that Lyra had a magical season? Other teams that are ranked as high or higher than Lyra, such as Aquila and Cassiopeia, but most definitely Vulpecula, did pretty well too. The Seasogs might be the tournament that Ko-orenite teams do best in: the Market Cup? Two consecutive second places. World Cup? Two appearances, finally. WBC? Fourth place, not bad. Other club competitions, however? Never even reached the final. The BCCC and the CC have had Ko-orenite clubs in the final four, but Seasogs...

Aquila and Cassiopeia appeared in the playoffs, both winning theirs. With four teams in the group phase, the season already started off great. Cassiopeia even destroyed their playoff opponent 17-0, not giving up even one point. Aquila was then the only team that was eliminated in the group stage, with 1-1-4. Cassiopeia, despite being a playoff team, and Lyra won their groups with 3-2-1 (!) and 5-0-1 respectively. Lastly Vulpecula finished second with 2-1-3 (!). Not results that are too good, but the finishes are more than good enough. The three teams all benefited from one very good team in the group. Then in the round of 16 came the first big blow for our teams: Vulpecula and Cassiopeia were both eliminated. With four teams in the group stage and three teams surviving those, many expected more, maybe. Lyra was the sole survivor in a poor game against Les Alliés Legion from Saugeais: 8-3. Another small margin separated Lyra from their Quarterfinal opponent, the Nourselle Gazelles from Hutanjia (13-10). With these small gaps of 5 and 3 points, the fans were already not too confident about the semifinals. The Northbrook Harlequins were the opponent, the winners of the 13th Seasogs and a very experienced team overall. The game however ended in 31-16 for Lyra, definitely marking them as favorites for the final, as the Sparrowhawks won 11-10 over the Burgunden Brawlers. The rest is history: Lyra becomes the first Ko-orenite club team to win a competition!

IRLCC: Sympetrum, Anisoptera

Seasogs: Cassiopeia, Vulpecula, Lyra, Aquila

Rugby League ?

Postby AusCricketLand » Mon Aug 12, 2013 12:39 pm

The great god of AusCricketLand and world cricket has also commandeth that the game of Rugby League is almost as important as cricket and is one of the great God's three sanctioned sports within the empire that are BEYOND reproach and anyone ever born anywhere that says a word against it will be sentenced to transportation for life to the dreaded ISLE Of DREAD !!!!!!!!. As our god has just instructed the high Priest (me) of Bradmanism (the state religion) that from this day day forth that two new DEMI-GODS are to ascend to the pantheon of THE GREAT and from this day forth THE Andrew Johns and Dave Brown sit with THE Steve WAUGH and THE Shane Warnie and the God of Delta Blues, Robert Johnson.
The god has decreed that although he may tolerate this Union variation and it is allowed OUTSIDE of this enpire but to make any derogatory remarks about the holy game of Rugby League will be holy blasphemy and punishable by transportation for life to the Dreaded ISLE Of DREAD !!!!!

Please, everybody stand and say prayers and give thanks to the Demi Gods, THE Andrew Johns and THE Dave Brown.

PS. The god has now promised that if the Syney Roosters do not win the 2013 NRL Premiership then he shall bring forth THE APOCALYPSE.

All bow down to the only known God in the universe. THE Sir DONALD BRADMAN.

AMERICA It's that time of year again

Postby AusCricketLand » Mon Aug 12, 2013 1:03 pm

THE AusCricketLand Telegraph

YES AMERICA, IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN

NEW YORK. The excitement is building all across our GrrrrrrrEAT Nation and there is only one question on the lips of the American masses of sport fans for THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT of the YEAR Billy Joe Phillips of Jacksonville Florida was all full of excitement as are all the inhabitants of that most famous of places in American sporting lore as once agin, their great awesome Rugby League team of superstars are again the big FAY-VOR-REET to win THE BIG ONE, The USARL Grand Final. WILL the JACKSONVILLE AXEMEN SHOCK the Peeple of Ayyyyyyyy-Mare-Ree-Cahh once agin and beat the LEGENDARY RHODE ISLAND REBELLION to basically become THE KINGS OF WORLD RUGBY LEAGUE (excepting THE MIGHTY SYDNEY ROOSTERS OF COURSE...... Duhhhhhh).

Apparently The Super Bowl is some kind of yummy salad served in a big bowl, anyhoo, this reporter is tired and must rest, the excitement about the possibility of the Jacksonville Axemen has worn me out.

P.S. Reporters prediction for 2015........ Former Rugby Union player Benji Marshall signs with Rugby League team in Prague, The MAD SQUIRRELLS (yes, there really is an actual rugby league club in the Czech republik called that, what a cute team they must be). Benji Marshall says that he just had to sign up to play rugby league as he was desperate to stop playing rugby union because it was the most boring experience of his entire life and as the MAD SQUIRRELLS were the first to approach him he eagerly signed up. <<<<<<<<<<< You watch, Ya'll are gonna be callin me Nostradamus when that prediction comes true.

If there is, and if I can get my head around working out a coefficient system then I'd be prepared to scorinate one.

There sure is a great interest in the great game of Rugby League in AusCricketLand and not surprisingly we are bloody brilliant at it, as naturally the capital city of AusCricketland is Sydney Cricket Ground we have seen just about every great rugby league player in the sports history played many of their biggest matches ever, especially in grand finals and Test matches, hell Dally Messenger, Frank Burge, Dave Brown, Billy Boston, Clive Churchill, Reg Gasnier, Johnny raper, Alex Murphy, Puig Aubert, Arthur Beetson, Mal Meninga, Martin OffiahAndrew Johns and Billy Slater among many many other great Australian and English and Kiwis and French and Samoan and Tongans legends have played in our great capital city.

Our God, THE Sir DONALD BRADMAN has decreed that Rugby League is almost as important as his own game of cricket, and that makes the game a holy one. Considering all of this I would doubt any nation can beat mine and any nation daring to test their manhood on the mighty SCG against us they are doomed to fall in defeat as we are invincible.

So Yeah, I am interested in joining in.
