Also, confirming Fromulya as my puppet. Oh, and confirming my participation as well, looks like I haven't. The song I choose depends on whether my host bid wins or not (but I'm not telling you my possible choices either, so no pressure) :)

KINGFORDIAN ENTERANT INFO

Image

DIVIDE: (from left) Martin, Ingrid, Andrei, Artyom, Kalle

Kingsley Bedford's broadcaster KBBS has decided to select its enterant for WorldVision 27 internally after the success of Anna Jorgensen under this method in WV26. After recieving many offers from Kingfordian artists we have decided to send the electro-rock band "DIVIDE" to the contest.

DIVIDE were formed in 2011. Martin, Andrei, Artyom, Kalle and lead vocalist Ingrid have been prominent in the Kingfordian music industry since the release of their debut album "Fire" in March 2011 which peaked at number 6 on the Kingfordian top 100 albums. The band has recently been working on their second album and are excited to have the opportunity to represent Kingsley Bedford at WorldVision 27 and launch their international career

The song they will sing is an electro-rock song called "An end to the storm" (OOC: Working title only... title may change), an electro-rock song in both English and Kingfordian. The song is about an abusive relationship in which one partner wants out, to end the ordeal she is experiencing. The band hopes that the WorldVision audience will like the song and sees this as an opportunity to launch their international career and promote their forthcoming 2nd studio album which will include their WorldVision entry.

"We're very excited to represent our country at WorldVision. It is an honour for us to recieve this offer and we look forward to performing onstage. We've always enjoyed watching WorldVision Song Contest and to get the chance to perform onstage at the contest for Kingsley Bedford is a dream come true for us." says lead singer Ingrid Jonsson.

SONG DETAILS:
Artist: DIVIDE
Song title: "AN END TO THE STORM"

"The first round of voting in Këngë Për Fushë Me-Bar has officially finished! 10 songs were performed, but only one song can win the prestigious honour of representing the nation at the WorldVision Song Contest. The first votes are in, the ones of the international juries, the international music professionals who have been so kind as to give their opinion. They awarded their points in traditional WorldVision style, 12, 10, and then 1-8. These were then totalled, and then converted into 12, 10 and 1-8 points. Let us now see these results!"

Image

"But these aren't the only votes we have! No, we also have the televotes of the viewers at home. These have also been totalled, and converted into points, 12, 10 and 1-8 as usual. Then, these were combined with the jury scores to give the overall result, and, to give us our three superfinalists! So, are you excited? What? Well, here they are!"

Image

"And, so, the final results are here! We have our three superfinalists, come on out Xhevahire, Luljeta and Teuta! These three ladies will now perform again in the superfinal, for the honour of representing Fusha Me-Bar at the WorldVision Song Contest. Now, up first, we have Teuta Shahini, with "Po, Më Mungon Ti"!"

01. Teuta Shahini - Po, Më Mungon Ti (Yes, I Miss You)
To the tune of Elvana Gjata - Me Ty

Unë shpresoj ju mund të dëgjoni, fjalët unë këndoj (I hope you can hear the words I sing)
Të gjitha për ju, gjithçka për ju (All for you, everything for you)
Sepse kjo nuk është e drejtë si unë nuk mund të them (Because it isn’t fair how I couldn’t say)
Sa unë kujdesej, sa unë dashur ju (How much I cared, how much I loved you)
Ooooh-oh-oh
Dhe unë përpiqem të pranojë, se kam zakon shihemi përsëri (And I try to accept, that you’re not coming home)

Mendoj për ty çdo ditë (I think about you every day)
Dhe po, më mungon ti (And yes, I miss you)
Unë thjesht nuk mund të pranojë (I just cannot accept)
Duke jetuar pa ty (Living without you)
Por ju e dini çfarë thonë ata (But you know what they say)
Zot merr vetëm shumë e mirë (God only takes the very best)
Por kjo nuk ka vërtet ndihmë (But it doesn’t really help)

02. Luljeta Xhekira - Çlirim (Liberation)
To the tune of Havana Brown - Spread A Little Love

Aaaah, Aaaah
I have a feeling, my heart is beating fast
Are you feeling it to? Do you feel the same tonight?
And let us spread this, this love that we have
And forever
Unë ndihem i çliruar! (We are liberated!)

And tonight we will be free!
As we love we will become liberated!
And as the moon rises!
Our hearts will be lifted to untold highs!
Aaaah, Aaaah, Aaaah, Aaaah

03. Xhevahire Gjatara - Ata Nuk E Kuptojnë (They Don't Understand)
To the tune of Grete Paia - Päästke Noored Hinged (Radio Remix)

Ata kanë nuk dihet çdo gjë si ne, por ne duhet duhet pranojë turpin? (They have never known anything like us, but should we have to accept the scorn?)
Nga pamja e jashtme ajo është si një botë tjetër dhe vetëm ne kemi kyç në (From the outside it is like another world, and only we have the key to inside)
Ata janë të frikësuar e asaj ata nuk e kuptojnë dhe kështu ata të përzënë një pykë mes nesh (They are afraid of what they do not understand, and so they drive a wedge between us)
Por unë jam i sigurt se ne do qëndroni të forte era maj vajtoj por mali nuk do të përkulet (But I am certain that we will stay strong, the wind may howl but the mountain will not bow)

Don’t utter a word that I speak, to another prying ear, don’t finance their war
Don’t disassociate yourself out of fear, we join together and face it head on

Dallimet tona janë ato që na bëjnë të fortë (Our differences are what make us strong)
Por thoni kanë njohur ndonjëherë ju dashuri si kjo (But tell me have you ever known love like this)
Dhe kur raketat e tyre vijnë rrugën tonë (And when their missiles come our way)
Kthejnë sytë tuaj mua, vetëm mua (Turn your eyes to me, only me)
Ajo është e tillë një turp që ata nuk e kuptojnë (It’s such a shame that they don’t understand)
Unë mendoj kjo është në rregull që ata nuk e kuptojnë (I guess it’s fine that they don’t understand)

"Now, Fusha Me-Bar, it is time to vote for your favourite song! Three, two, one go!"

For WV27, Moglinov wishes to bid, so if it hosts WV27, we will have our debutante, as a first class city, and not some poor capital. Once the poorest capital in Luziyca since 1997, in 2008, using the bailout money due to the financial crisis, the government of Kashui pledged into revitalizing downtown, and building a new airport. It now even has a shuttle route from the Kashui International Airport to Downtown.

Thus, without further ado... We present Moglinov!

Image

The Moglinov International Airport (IATA code: KMG) opened in March 2012, to replace the communist-era Moglinov Airport (former IATA code: KMA). It has three runways, and a single terminal with room for 750,000 passengers at any one time. It cost Д2,596,195,000 ($5,192,390,000) to construct. It has Piers A, B, C, D, E, F, and G, having 15 gates per pier, or in total, 105 gates. As well, it has space for 10 airport lounges. This airport is located 20 km (12.43 miles) east of Moglinov.

The viaduct in the front is for shuttle use only, to transport people from the airport to downtown Moglinov. Named the DANAE Viaduct, after the Lymantatian band, it will be operated by the municipal government, carrying DANAE Shuttle Buses. It can take you downtown in 10 minutes, with buses arriving every 5 minutes at the Airport and at the Downtown Terminal. It cost Д950,000 ($1,900,000) to construct, mainly the supports, the pavement and the shuttles (there will be six DANAE buses), but the DANAE buses run on electricity. The fare for the DANAE line is free if you are under five years, Д1.50 ($3) if you a child (Kindergarten to Grade 8), Д3 ($6, plus high school ID) if you are in High School (Grade 9 to 12), Д5 ($10) from graduation to 75 years, and Д2 ($4) if you are 75 or older.

Image

The five-star resort, Gansevoort opened in 2011. Part of the "Western Downtown" development, it was chosen to help attract tourists. The Gansevoort Company brought the area in 2008, to build the resort. With 4,239 rooms, most of them luxurious, it usually runs in the red, but Gansevoort is determined to operate here. Thus, it will proudly house the contestants for WorldVision, should it come to Moglinov. The luxuries here include room service, a minibar, and almost every room is the equivalent of the Presidential Suite of most Luziycan hotels. It has 15 restaurants, three hair salons, sixteen gift shops, and nine casinos, as well as a branch of a shop that sells alcohol and cigarettes (legally). The Downtown Terminal for the DANAE line is in front of the Gansevoort Hotel.

Image
Average room

The suites are designed to be "living," and functional. With a bookshelf, an HDTV, a bed, a minibar, and a walk-in-closet, as well as a bathroom which is larger than the average Swilatian apartment, you cannot resist the feeling of being treated like an Emperor or Empress. It also has a free laptop, and has Wi-Fi. Remember that it is password-protected, so others won't need. Don't know? Just ask when you come in. The password is breadfish.

Image

The CoinStar FC Stadium was completed in May 2013. It houses the CoinStar FC (formerly Moglinov FC), a football/soccer team, and the Moglinov Doves, an Arazei football (Canadian football with field metricated) team. Its capacity is 75,000 permanent seats, 2,500 standing room, giving a combined total of 77,500 spaces. With 90,000 temporary seats put on the field, it would have room for 167,500 people, but since 30,000 seats plus all the standing room will be blocked by the stage, the actual capacity will be 135,000 seats. There are 75 VIP boxes, with room in each box for 15 spectators, or 1,125 people in the VIP boxes. The roof is retractable, so if it rains, there is no problem. The VIP boxes will be reserved, 50 for broadcasters, 19 for the families of the performers or your head of states, and one for the greenroom.

Image

The stage design is revolutionary. Appearing permanent, it is actually temporary and can be set up in a few days. With a main stage, and two smaller "stages," plus screens at the back, it is quite huge. In the left "C" shaped tip (the gem thingy obscuring it), will be the orchestra pit, to be provided by the Moglinov Symphony Orchestra. The right "C" (if the C was flipped), will be part of the orchestra pit.

So, what do you do when you finished performing? You go to...

Image
The Greenroom, located in the stadium. It gives a nice view of the performance, and is a converted VIP box. Drinks and food are served here, you can discuss the performance, and give support. As well, it also is a really good place to just wait until you do your performance. Cameras are allowed, and you can also access the internet.

Image

Got here early, or want to stick around Moglinov, once WorldVision is done? We got a variety of things for the performer. It lists the place, the purpose, and neighborhood

  • Kashui State Museum - detailing the history of Kashui, from the first recorded mention of Kashui, to today - Downtown
  • Kashui State Library - modern library, to replace the one at its old location (after it burned down in 2003), to showcase Kashui literature - West Downtown
  • Kashui Capitol - this is where the state government of Kashui meets, with tours available on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - Downtown
  • Wheat Park - this is the equivalent of Central Park, with a wide range of activities - Downtown/West Downtown/Rybak
  • Moglinov Municipal Archives - houses the archives of Moglinov since founding in 1496, and the archives of State of Kashui since 1863 - Downtown
  • Museum of Stalinist Oppression - museum about Erov Haclav's rule of West Luziyca (of which Kashui was part) - Downtown
  • Massimo Savoy Convention Center - where major conventions in Kashui are held - Northern Industrial

Sure, we may still be a poor capital of the poorest state in the country, but not as poor as we were in 2008! Thus, come to Moglinov and see how we changed in the past five years.

For postcards, just send me a 'gram (TG), with your nation name in your language spoken by a majority of your people, and the phrase, "Make music, not war!" in your top three languages. Note that with languages with non-Latin scripts, I request it to have transliterated into the Latin script to keep the styling intact.

An example of a postcard is here...

KINGFORDIAN HOSTBID INFORMATION: WORLDVISION 27 SIRUSHOSTAN, KINGSLEY BEDFORD

LOGO & THEME

Image

The theme for the contest is "Ignite The Passion" which represents the passion for music that the participating artists share and the passion for music that Kingfordians have. We are encouraging viewers to ignite the passion within themselves and enjoy the diverse range of music that you will see in the contest and of course... vote for their favourite song, the song that ignites the passion inside of them. The logo is designed by Dynamic Inc a graphic design company from Vanor

SIRUSHOSTAN: HOST CITY

Sirushostan is our capital city, a city of over 6 million people, Sirushostan is a city that is home to many different cultures thanks to Kingsley Bedford's multi-cultural society and open immigration policies. Serviced by Sirushostan International Airport which is located 15 mins from the city center, Sirushostan is the largest city in Kingsley Bedford and is the perfect place to host WorldVision Song Contest.

Visitors will have plenty to do in their spare time, with many cultural attractions and sights with something for everyone. The city has many museums, monuments and plenty of nightlife, shopping and dining options for our guests to enjoy. The city's top nightclub has offered its premises as a "Visionclub", a place where WorldVision fans, delegations and artists can interact (OOC: Similar to the Euroclub at Eurovision) and host delegation parties. WorldVision entries from all 27 contests will play all night long in the Visionclub.

ACCOMMODATION:

Several hotels will be within a 2 km radius of the arena, with enough accommodation for the fans and delegations. A shuttle bus service run between all the hotels and the venue for the fans to travel to the arena for the show... and each delegation will have their own bus for their own usage to travel to rehearsals and of course the show.

VENUE

Image

The newly-completed "ARUTHYAN ARENA" is a world-class 18,000 seat arena that will host the competition. It is 5 mins from the city center and is only a short walk. The arena was completed in late 2012 and has everything you need for a fantastic WorldVision venue. We trust that it will serve as a benchmark for all future WorldVision venues and is of world-class standard. It has its own metro station allowing for easy access to the arena and will of course be serviced by the hotel shuttle buses as previously mentioned in the accommodation information.

THE STAGE

Image

The stage for the contest has been designed by Kingfordian set designer Igor Valakovsky who has designed the stages for several Kingfordian national finals for WorldVision and designed the set for the 2013 Kingfordian music awards.

The stage features a main stage, with multiple levels and movable floors, a catwalk and satelite stage, with a levitating platform. The set backdrop is created by a digital projection wall, which is powered by 10 high quality digital projectors which give a high quality picture that can be customised for each act. It provides a clearer picture than an LED screen and is not pixilated creating a more realistic backdrop for each act. The set will look great on the television and in the arena and its design allows for it to be seen from all corners of the arena. The stage will have special effect capabilites such as various pyrotechnics, lasers and of course lighting effects in addition to the projection wall.

There will be a floor space with standing area surrounding the stage, and seats at the back of the floor area, the arena will also have arena seating in the stands and will have a clear view of the stage and the acts. We trust that the delegations will be happy with our stage and we trust that all technical aspects will be of a high standard and will present each act in the most spectacular way.

POSTCARDS

The postcards will feature a picture of the artist, the name of the country, and a short message from the artist to the viewers in their language.

THE KINGFORDIAN BROADCASTER KBBS AND THE KINGFORDIAN WORLDVISION 27 HOSTBID ORGANISING COMMITTEE HOPE YOU WILL VOTE FOR OUR HOSTBID AND CHOOSE KINGSLEY BEDFORD AS THE HOST NATION OF WORLDVISION 27.... IGNITE THE PASSION!

Crolacia's right. Remember WV22 where there were only 3 host bids, and mine won?

Well I'd like to see if mine would still win if there was more competition. I've put it in a post I reserved for the host bid, so I wouldn't have to spoiler it. Here. :)

Also, WV Committee please update the OP!

As much as I want to do a host bid, doing it on my two-and-a-halfth time is not necessarily a very intelligent idea.

Unfortunately I have to juggle being the magnificent cat-eared bastard who's running the NTR with my real world programming job, and sadly the latter one is a bit more important :/

I can't promise I'll try, but I'll try to try.

I wish I could bid again. Sadly, I have to wait since Vanor is technically a new participant, even with Vampirum within it's borders.

Due to high criticism from the Polkopian public, Polkopia's original entry, 'Tears Of Joy' will no longer represent the nation of Polkopia, and will be replaced by another song which will be decided from a last-minute National Final.

The original Landa vy Polkopiya, which acted as Polkopia's National Final, was put on hold due to protests, but with the original entry being disqualified, the Polkopian broadcaster has decided to hold the Landa vy Polkopiya anyway, despite protests.

The video for voting can be seen here: HERE

Instructions for voting are as follows:

5 points for your favorite entry
4 points for your 2nd favorite entry
3 points for your third favorite entry
2 points for your fourth favorite entry
1 point for your fifth favorite entry

(OoC: I tried writing my entry to the tune of L'Essenziale, but I just couldn't... Voting would be much appreciated! :))

On another note, the bids have been excellent so far! I'm already having a hard time deciding who to vote for...

Hence your name, Nekoni?

CQ, honestly I am amazed by how fast it took for you to make up that host bid. I planned mine for days.
I'm already sobbing over how good these bids are
