I'm not asking for super realism, I'm asking for people to be sensible. A Japanese woman making a bunch of cash from hentai in the senate isn't unreasonable, having a dozen of the worlds richest people in the senate is.

In the 1920's, the administration of President Calvin Coolidge followed laissez-faire economics, and that resulted in the Wall Street Crash of 1929. In general though, I think it is unhealthy for anything to go completely unregulated and that's what laissez-faire is, the virtually unregulated market. Also I don't trust business to regulate itself. Senator, what is your opinion on the rise of extremism on both the left and right?
While I don't approve of such ideologies, I accept their right to exist as a tenet of freedom of speech. The USLP and NIFP are two of the Senate's larger parties, but I trust the Aurentine people know that extremism is never good for a country. Why do you dislike Social Conservatism? Social Conservatism seeks to hold society back and deny people both liberty and equality. That and because many Social Conservatives are insane bigots with little grip on reality.

Having $23billion is enough to put you in the top 20 richest in the world. There isn't going to be more than one person in the country with that kind of money and they probably aren't going to be a senator.
