Rugby Season 8

National League Pld W D L PF PA PD Pts
1 Vulpecula 36 33 0 3 408 190 +218 99
2 Lyra 36 25 2 9 429 246 +183 77
3 Aquila 36 22 1 13 292 300 −8 67
4 Cassiopeia 36 18 0 18 292 250 +42 54
5 Andromeda 36 17 0 19 290 306 −16 51
6 Cygnus 36 16 1 19 270 303 −33 49
7 Phoenix 36 14 3 19 205 262 −57 45
8 Corona Australis 36 13 1 22 323 359 −36 40
9 Monoceros 36 13 0 23 231 313 −82 39
10 Corona Borealis 36 5 0 31 216 427 −211 15

Though it seemed like Lyra would dominate the Ko-orenite League for a while, Vulpecula took over! Lyra seized the championship for three consecutive seasons and they were the obvious favorites for the title this time around, too. Anyhow, it is Vulpecula with their good Seasogs results that have taken over - and with some energy! Twenty-two points are between Vulpecula and Lyra, and then there is another gap of ten points before Aquila. Then is another 13 points gap between Aquila and Cassiopeia, completing the four Seasogs qualifiers for the eighth season. The differences from that point on get smaller: Andromeda are only three points behind Cassiopeia, but they had to do something about their pd before taking them on. Cygnus is only two points behind that, and it goes on like this, until you get to the end. The biggest gap of the league is between teams in ninth and tenth place: 24 points! Monoceros, champions of season 4, have now completed their long way down. Last season, they ended in fourth place, and before that, they were sixth. It really is time for Monoceros to get back to their old level if they want to compete for a Seasogs spot. It seems like Cassiopeia has successfully taken over their place in the top 4, securing another qualification. This means that the same teams as last time qualify, just in a different order.

Last Seasogs, Lyra and Vulpecula survived the group stage. Vulpecula went on further than Lyra, as they did in the league. They finally went out against the later winners, the Northbrook Harlequins, and finished in third/fourth place!

And the group of athletes left Ko-oren to visit its colonies for the next three marathons, including this one. This one was in Taloren, south of Ko-oren, and known for its 'outdoor spirit'. The climate and the weather is nice to its people, and they happily return the favor to the environment. The marathon definitely did not suffer from this: the second best time overall comes from this marathon. 12-124472 now is included in the top three times per marathon twice, following his second place in Ko-oren City. Moreover, there were almost no athletes that were forced to stop before the end. Unfortunately for the Talorenians, but the best Talorenian was in 12th place, seven minutes behind the winner.

On the last day, Norilya kicked Kthosl to a sixth place to eliminate them already from the Globe Cup! Congratulations to Branvun, champions of Ko-oren though they secured their title as early as match day 34! Congratulations to Maethoru, who secured the second CC spot despite their terrible start of the season! Congratulations to Tangku and Mazaj on securing a place in the GC!

Commiserations to Uzhotu and Engbrothun, who relegate to KNL 2.

Ko-orenite National League - Postseason

The ninth season of the KNL has finished, and though the question of which team would be the champions was resolved early, many other questions were not. The ninth KNL champion is Branvun, from Branvun in Engbrothun. Engbrothun: that's another important name here. They finished 20th (and therefore last) and will relegate to the KNL-2. The last match days of the other Greater Ko-orenite Leagues are on us soon as well, and then we will look at the Greater Ko-orenite Cup. But first, the KNL season. The first thing that catches the eye is that there were less goals in the KNL, presumably because of the defensive national team. But that is just a theory...

KNL 1 Top Scorer Art Jarrel (FAL), Liju, 29 goals
KNL 1 Assist Leader Palnatoki Idrasil (KOR), Branvun, 13 assists
KNL 1 Best Stadium National Stadium, Ko-oren City, Ko-oren Capitals
KNL 1 Best GK Storm Enshadilsa (KOR), Branvun
KNL 1 Best DEF Svarlamn Norn (KOR), Branvun
KNL 1 Best MID Smilla Kitten (HGH), Mazaj
KNL 1 Best STR Art Jarrel (FAL), Liju
KNL 1 Best talent U-20 Manfried Laurent (DAR), Mazaj

We have some consistency in the awards this year: Art Jarrel is the topscorer and best striker again, and the award for best talent is for another Darmeni. Branvun and Mazaj took most of the awards, and Art Jarrel is the only exception here. Smilla Kitten from the Mazaj midfield, has won an award for High Heels too, being this season's best midfielder and a stable factor in the Globe Cup achievement - not bad for a team that played in the KNL-2 for a while.

Branvun were crowned champions this year. They were one of only six teams to play a derby this year (against Engbrothun, who finished last). The first ended in a 1-0 win for Branvun, and in the second, Branvun scored five to beat Engbrothun 1-5! The team climbed from a fourth place last year to a very solid championship after they already won two titles earlier.

Maethoru finished second after last year's title. They started dramatically, as they were fifth after 19 match days (halfway). They only had six points after match day 7, with just one win so far. The team has turned it around very well, and even challenged the second Champions' Cup spot successfully!

Tangku did very well after their tenth place finish last year. Everyone involved with the club knew that things had to change or else the club could have taken the route of a club like Vnoskjulung, who were quite successful in the early days of the KNL, but fell back and now play in KNL-2. Tangku even had the chance to take the Champions' Cup spot, but nobody at the club can be unhappy with the third place.

Mazaj have confirmed their status as the new top club of Ko-oren. They were used to the level of KNL-2 until only four seasons ago, and since then they have climbed more than any other club ever has. The will to achieve great things is present in this club more than any other, and it rewarded them with a fourth place and a Globe Cup qualification. It does not seem likely that they represented Ko-oren at the SBCC not too long ago, but they did!

Norilya secured a Globe Cup qualification during the last day, whereas they lost it last season on the last day too. Norilya, a club known for finishing third one season and tenth the following season, have shown some consistency with their consecutive top-7 finish. Goal-wise, they have been better than Mazaj by a lot, but now they need just one more win to be a little bit more relaxed near the end of the season.

Kthosl lost their Globe Cup qualification on the last day. The club from the capital cannot complain, as they finished 16th last season! Every year, there is one team that surprises everyone by just losing everything consecutively, and last season it was Kthosl. Not every club has the capacity to come back from this, but they have done it!

Liju definitely had some problems this year. Their forward, Art Jarrel, who single-footedly shot Liju to a second place last year, did not have problems as Liju was the second-most top scoring team of the league, but the defense was hardly consistent. Liju has had a lot of problems of scoring when it needed to: a lot of their wins have been by 2 or more goals, but they did not win nearly enough matches. Art Jarrel is again the top scorer, but if they do not get their defense on track, they might fall back even further next year.

Position: 7th

Jeknolr, like Liju, have had some problems. For this club, however, the problems are not defensive but offensive. After a third place finish last year and a decent Globe Cup run, they fell back to eighth place despite only conceding 30 goals (fourth least conceding defense of the league). Their attack is not very good, which also resulted in their 14 ties this season (second only to Kol and Alara, both on 16). Having lost only 10, they are on par with Tangku in third place, but the club really needs more goals, fast.

Ajongka are getting better and better. For a very long time, they were the only other team from West Ko-oren, living under the shadow of Maethoru. Since the surge of Western football, with teams like Mazaj promoting to the KNL, they have been steadily increasing too, from a team that always nearly avoided relegation to a stable mid-table team. Last season had been a little bit of a disappointment (17th), but this seems to fit the team too.

Position: 9th
Goal for next season: 10th

Tkhon is another example of a solid Western team. They promoted last year as KNL-2's champion, and now they are already in the top 10 of Ko-orenite clubs. To really compete with the teams above them, they still need a lot more quality in both attack and defense. They have had luck in vital matches, and as their 14-10-14 record shows, they are the absolute mid-table team of the KNL. The club is trying to grow slowly, and they do not yet want to finish as high as possible.
Image
Position: 10th
Goal for next season: 15th

Kol with many teams finishing much higher than last season, there are teams that finished a lot lower. Last year, they were in the Globe Cup, but the Purples could not do another run like that. They are now eleventh, and they are the team with the lowest total GF plus GA. They still only won 12 games, yet only lost 10, too. Their number of draws (16) is higher than any other club's.
Image
Position: 11th
Goal for next season: 10th

Suvira is the other of the two promoted teams. This makes last year's KNL-2 one of the strongest ones, with both promoted teams finishing top 12 (Tkhon finished 10th). Suvira tried to conquer the KNL with attacking football, but somewhat happy-go-lucky and naive. In their haste to score a lot of goals, they also conceded a lot. Their season ended on the second-to-last day, because they have a gap of three points to the team above them and a six-point gap to the team below them, making them the turning point of top half-lower half.
Image
Position: 12th
Goal for next season: 15th

Alara is a team that promoted from the KNL-2 earlier. They have had a good season, like Tkhon and Suvira are having now, before falling back into the realm of mid-table teams. They lost more than other mid-table teams (only the bottom four teams lost more often) and with their -6 goal difference one could ask what else they deserved. Alara was known as a club with a lot of talent, but as some of these players moved on to bigger clubs, Alara needs to reinvent its purpose.
Image
Position: 13th
Goal for next season: 15th

Ko-oren Capitals always do better in the Cup than in the League, and this is another season that the Capitals finish in mid-table, though they tend to reach the semifinals of the Greater Ko-orenite Cup. Winning only nine games, they owe their ranking to the huge amount of 16 draws. In the derby against Kthosl (both are from the capital city), they once tied 0-0 and they won 2-0 earlier, beating the 6th placed Kthosl H2H. This proves that apparently derbies are completely separate matches from the League, and then suddenly they can perform like in the Cup.
Image
Position: 14th
Goal for next season: 13th

Arelothun have been trying to avoid relegation for a few seasons, like Engbrothun. The team finished 13th last season, so not much has changed. They do need to get the number of conceded goals down: 54 (second highest in the league).
Image
Position: 15th
Goal for next season: 15th

Jattulnar have promoted to the KNL two seasons to go, and though they never had a great first season in the KNL, they have stayed on the podium ever since. They are like Arelothun: same record (9-13-16), yet their goal difference is even worse. Arelothun has a bad defense, but Jattulnar has a bad attack, scoring only 25: lower than any other team.
Image
Position: 16th
Goal for next season: 18th

Othushun is the other team (together with Kol) that had a great season in season eight, but fell back dramatically. Some of the more experienced players on the team quit, or moved to another team, leaving Othushun with a young and inexperienced squad, but it should be possible to get the team back to where it was. Conceding 51, they have had the third worst defense, and scoring 32, they barely score one goal per game. They also lose many games that could have been draws: they tied 9 games which is not a lot compared to teams around them (which all have 10+).
Image
Position: 17th
Goal for next season: 10th

Viltsr is one of the teams that have been in the KNL since its beginning, but it is getting difficult for them to stay in it. They finished 18th, but have been among the top 3 candidates for relegation since the beginning of this season. Their goal difference is not even that bad, but the team needs more quality overall. They have not improved from their 18th place finish last season.

Position: 18th
Goal for next season: 18th

Uzhotu are the last of the four Eastern Ko-orenite teams in the KNL. They once started with Kangutsu, Hogone and Sishinova, and they now play in KNL-2 (except Sishinova: KNL-3e). Suvira is the only Eastern team to promote in this time, and they will now be the only Eastern KNL team (should Kangutsu and Hogone not promote). It's back to the drawing board for Uzhotu, that have tried to stay around with a young team and with an older team, but nothing seemed to work.

Position: 19th
Goal for next season: N/A

Engbrothun have been bottom of the table since match day one. They finished last with a five point gap to Uzhotu, and to make it worse for the team, they share a city with Branvun, who have gotten the title once again. Engbrothun did not even manage to make it a hard day for Branvun in the derbies (0-1 and 1-5). Next season, they can try again in KNL-2.

The last day of KNL-2 was action packed as two of the three relegators were still to be determined, and one promotion spot was still to be awarded. Also the fourth SBCC spot was still open. All of these questions were resolved on the last day, whereas Ift relegated as 20th of the KNL-2 on match day 37 (though they were virtually out of the option on MD 36), and Kangutsu, Katrun and Minato-shi already confirmed their SBCC qualification on MD 35.
Two teams from KNL-2 promote to the KNL. Kangutsu had been sure of their promotion for a while, though the second team, and for a long time it looked like that would be Katrun (in the top 3 since match day 6), but Minato-shi had a small chance to promote too, if they could fix the point that they were behind Katrun. On the last day, Katrun played away at Ift, who were sure of their last place before this time. They still had the chance to go out with a bang, and they did! Ift 2, Katrun 1. Now if Minato-shi won, they would be second. With a draw, they were still out on goal difference. In the end, Minato-shi won 1-0 against Iliju, securing their promotion to KNL!
On the other end of the ranking, all teams from place 13 down could relegate. These were: Tosk (44p), Hail, Fori (43p), Hogone, Enkl (42p) and Sraltlur and Oluving (41p). A win would mean that your worries are over, because with so many teams there is always one bound to lose. Hail and Fori, both on 43 points, played each other and reached a strategic 0-0 draw. With both on 44, chances that one of the two would relegate would be incredibly small. Tosk, already on 44, played champions Kangutsu and lost 3-2. Hogone and Enkl, both on 42, were in the danger zone. Hogone lost 2-0 at Idigo, and Enkl played Sraltlur (who had 41 points). This ended in a 1-1 draw, meaning that at least Enkl was safe because they already had one point more than Sraltlur. Lastly Oluving played 1-1 against mid-table Laridju. So in short, Tosk, Hail and Fori had 44 and were therefore out of problems. Enkl tied, giving them 43 and a relatively safe position. Sraltlur tied too, giving them a risky 42. Hogone lost, getting them stuck at 42 too, and Oluving had a point from their match, giving them 42. Sraltlurs defense saved them throughout the season, and with a -5 GD, they finish 17th, which means Oluving and Hogone both relegate with a -10 and -13 GD!

In KNL 3N, Sturng cruised easily to the championship, but with a last MD loss, they endangered the easy victory. KNL 3S had Diamond Dust as champions, as long as they won their last game. Only after the home match against Thunderstorm, they were 100% sure of the championship. In KNL 3E, things were very, very close together on the second-to-last day:
KNL 3E Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Safurung 26 11 7 8 22 22 0 40
2 Sepo 25 9 12 4 26 19 +7 39
3 Etena 25 10 9 6 20 13 +7 39
4 Saiwu 25 10 9 6 20 17 +3 39
5 Mota 25 9 11 5 27 18 +9 38

Five teams were still able to promote, with Safurung on a clear advantage based on just their points. Their biggest disadvantage... they had a bye day on the last day. On match day 24, they climbed up from fourth to first, which they had to defend on the last day without a game. On the last day: Mota won 1-0, giving them 41 points and the championship as long as Sepo, Etena and Saiwu lost or tied. Etena were good for them, as they lost 1-2 against Cirrus. Sepo and Saiwu played each other on this day! They both knew that a win would give them the championship, and a draw would mean Sepo would advance. Safurung were, because of this, already sure they would not promote. Saiwu won 1-0, and the promotion was theirs!
WCC and WCOH President and NS Sports' only WC, WBC, WB, WCOH, IBC, RUWC, Test Cricket, ODI, and T20 loser!

A quarter of the season in, and we can already see what direction the teams are going in. Last year the TNL had a group of 3 top clubs, then six teams that could all lose and win against each other, and one last, lonely club that failed to keep up. Not that all this was already apparent after five match days, but there were some signs on the wall. Right now, we have 3 top clubs, then three clubs that seem to be fighting for the fourth international spot (Globe Cup), and then the last four teams that do not seem to be going for the championship this year:

With the league halfway, the structure is somewhat different from the situation after five match days. 4 and 2 are doing great, and seem to be cruising straight for the championship... it should be interesting to see if any other club can keep up. Then we have 3, which is right now in a little section of its own. Down from there are 1, 8, 17, 5 and 16 that all technically can make it into the Globe Cup: these five teams are 3 points apart. With two teams relegating from the league, there are two clear candidates for this: 14 and 10.

Just five matches before the end, most of the general structure of the league after it was halfway, still exist. 4 and 2 are still the top teams, though 3 has no longer a section of its own, but this team is ready to take on 4 and 2. Then the big group of five teams that were three points apart earlier broke apart. 5, 1, 8 and 17 are still together in the fight for the last Globe Cup spot, while 10 and 16 are now equally likely to relegate along with 14. 14 is three victories behind any other team, and it does not seem like they can still make up 6 points in the last quarter of the league.

One day before the end, we have two teams eligible for the championship: 2 and 4. 2 has 36 points, while 4 has 35. There is also still a fight for fourth place, the lowest ranking that allows a team to participate in the Globe Cup: 8 and 1 both have 24 points. Apart from surely relegating 14, there are four teams with one point between them, all still in the race against relegation: 5 and 17 have 19 points, 10 and 16 have 18. The last day fixtures are as follows:

16 Tower (THL) – 10 Tower (THL) direct 'final' for second-to-last relegation spot
5 Tower (THL) – 4 Tower (THL) 4 can secure championship, 5 has to avoid relegation
2 Tower (THL) – 17 Tower (THL) 2 can secure championship, 17 has to avoid relegation
8 Tower (THL) – 1 Tower (THL) direct final for last Globe Cup spot
3 Tower (THL) – 14 Tower (THL) both have nothing to play for

This means we have two direct finals: one for relegation, one for the Globe Cup. 4 and 2 take on the rest of the possible relegating teams, and 3 takes on 14 in the most meaningless game imaginable.

The last match day:
3 Tower (THL) 0–1 14 Tower (THL)

Nothing special with this match, but it is nice of 3 to give some points to 14 to make it not look like a terrible season for them, I presume.

16 Tower (THL) 2–0 10 Tower (THL)

With this good victory, 16 secured another season in TNL 1, and sealed 10's fate in TNL 2.

2 Tower (THL) 0–0 17 Tower (THL)

With 17 out of its worries (10 relegates no matter what), 2 only had to win against an opponent that has nothing left to play for. They forgot to score, and that means they need 4 to lose in order to secure the championship.

5 Tower (THL) 0–1 4 Tower (THL)

4 had all of their troubles removed now a draw or a victory were enough to secure the championship. 5 had nothing to play for anymore, and they happily let 4 take the win, and the title!

8 Tower (THL) 0–0 1 Tower (THL)

The 'playoff' for the Globe Cup ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw, so 8 will participate for Thaulandi in the Globe Cup!

The season procedure was kept exactly the same as last season. For next season, however, the association is planning some changes. To promote parity in the league, the lower ranked teams are given a higher percentage of the sponsor and broadcasting rights profits. This means that after all calculations are done, a small amount of money is taken from all teams, and that money is redistributed from the bottom up. The association has planned these changes as the top teams now often have over three times more wins than the lower teams. In both conferences, there are two teams (four teams total) with no hope for any season to come because of this. Last season was the best example of this, though this season is slightly more balanced.

Northwestern Conference Pld W L RF RA RD Pts
1 Silver Admirals 108 84 24 516 297 +219 252
2 Golden Generals 108 75 33 460 282 +178 225
3 Fire Chariots 108 73 35 507 290 +217 219
4 Sun's Regents 108 63 45 442 334 +108 189

5 Mounted Knights 108 59 49 412 442 −30 177
6 Jeweled Challengers 108 51 57 442 426 +16 153
7 Army of Sea 108 42 66 366 478 −112 126
8 Moving Castles 108 38 70 328 454 −126 114
9 Flying Dragons 108 28 80 276 515 −239 84
10 Angles 108 27 81 281 512 −231 81

The same four teams as last season qualify for the playoffs. The parity promotion program is also aimed at having a team outside of these four qualify for the playoffs. The same happens in the Southeastern Conference:

Southeastern Conference Pld W L RF RA RD Pts
1 Charging Hounds 108 85 23 569 257 +312 255

3 Vintage Cowboys 108 73 35 479 298 +181 219
4 Classy Farmers 108 64 44 486 377 +109 192

5 Premium Originals 108 58 50 414 364 +50 174
6 Running Indians 108 46 62 377 438 −61 138
7 Machine Reds 108 44 64 357 478 −121 132

9 Red Doctors 108 30 78 281 527 −246 90
10 Double B's 108 29 79 274 542 −268 87

This marathon was on Arhoren, a small chain of islands linking Ko-oren and Taloren, where the previous marathon was ran. The islands are known for their colorful flora and fauna all year round, and it seemed to inspire the athletes: out of the overall top three times, two are from Arhoren! Trogsp Numimun, the winner of the Arhoren marathon, even shaved off two full minutes of the previous best!

Congratulations to Mazaj on winning the Greater Ko-orenite Cup! They beat Hurricane, the team most people wanted to win.

Hurricane started the tournament in Round 3 as KNL-2 team, and started fantastically with a win over newly-relegated Engbrothun. In Round 5, they had a 3-0 victory over Alkonda United from New Ko-oren. Round 6 was another 3-0 victory, this time over Supercell, another team that stayed in the cup for a long time, shutting out some bigger teams. Round 8 was their first Extra Time game, which even dragged on to penalties, against Kangutsu. After Round 9, their chances soared with the 3-0 victory (again!) against Maethoru, the (second-)best team of Greater Ko-oren. In the semifinals, they shut out the last Zakhoren team.

Mazaj only started the tournament in Round 5 with the other 19 teams in KNL-1, first beating Suvira and Minato-shi, two teams that have played less than a season in KNL-1 (and make them an easy target apparently). The rest of the tournament had them play matches against teams from the colonies: New Ko-oren, Taloren and again New Ko-oren.

This is the first time a Taloren team did not make the final, and the teams from New Ko-oren have definitely set a new standard for themselves!

Kangutsu Blues 81–68 Kthosl Lions
Sishinova White Diamonds 67–64 Hogone Sapphires
Ka Uin Tazers 85–84 Aj Uin Elves
Jeknolr Dominators 96–57 Othushun Giants

Sishinova White Diamonds 79–60 Ka Uin Tazers
Kangutsu Blues 67–88 Jeknolr Dominators

Sishinova White Diamonds 79–79 Jeknolr Dominators (98–87 OT) (SWD 1-0 JD)
Jeknolr Dominators 74–99 Sishinova White Diamonds (SWD 2-0 JD)
Sishinova White Diamonds 78–58 Jeknolr Dominators (SWD 3-0 JD)
Jeknolr Dominators 65–88 Sishinova White Diamonds (SWD 4-0 JD)

The Sishinova White Diamonds did not have any trouble at all with the Jeknolr Dominators, that despite their third place in the regular season did not make an impression in the playoff finals. Congratulations to the White Diamonds, and to the Blues with their regular season championship!

The fourth season of the field hockey league proved there is a lot of parity in the league: not one club has won more than one championship. The Ko-oren Blues celebrate their first championship, and the league is even more entertaining because teams finish close together, with the sole exception maybe being no. 14, Enkl Hockey Club. It is probably odd to imagine that this club was the champion only two seasons ago! Wui City, last champions, also fell back hard, to 9th place. Aj Uin State is the only other club that made it to the championship before.

Only one more to go. This marathon was on New Ko-oren, in the southeast corner of Greater Ko-oren. Now that everyone is on the colonies, the amount of DNF's seems to go down, it could be a sign that the national association of athletics should keep marathons there. With just one more to go, we can see the upcoming Olympic squad reveal itself! New Ko-oren is not the place with a Ko-orenite record, but at least it has its top two in the overall top 4! Thaulin broke his own record and now is in the top 3 twice!

ASUN took the title, and for the very first time in the history of the league, ASUN are the champions! Not just that, but there has not even been a Southern Ko-oren champion before, taking over from the Eastern Region (Hogone Capital University) and the Northern Region (Ko-oren North University). The big missing region here is the Western Region, with the least teams of all regions in the league. Their best finisher this year was 16th place. It has to be said that only the differences at the top and bottom of the league are bigger, while the differences between mid-table teams is often too small to mention.

The top of the league generally has the rule that the better GD has the better place: ASUN and KNU show this. KNU are especially good in keeping goals out, but after that the rule gets some exceptions. KCU should by GD be 5th instead of 7th, for instance. Toward the bottom of the league, the rule is okay again: only one team with a GD of less than -200, and they are last. Going up we see that the GD gets slighly better each time, with Rabth Universtiy doing better than their GD suggested.

Table of top four finishes per city and per region:
Sepo 6 (Hogone Capital University 6)
Ko-oren City 10 (Ko-oren North University 4, Ko-oren Central University 4, Ko-oren East University 1)
Tangku 7 (Tangku South University 4, Arelothun State University West 1, Arelothun State University North 2)
Senoren 1 (Senoren City University 1)

East 6 (Hogone Capital University 6)
North 10 (Ko-oren North University 4, Ko-oren Central University 4, Ko-oren East University 1)
South 8 (Tangku South University 4, Arelothun State University West 1, Arelothun State University North 2, Senoren City University 1)

On this list, we see that Ko-oren City is the place for handball, but it is the city with the most clubs, so that might cancel out. The same goes for Tangku. Sepo, however, is doing very good in this list, though that entire record is from one club: HCU. They are also the only team to have finished top-4 in every season! They are also responsible for the entire record of the Eastern Region, which makes it keep up with the South and the North. The North used to have a bigger margin as best region, but the South won one point on them. Ko-oren North University also now has 4 points, the same as Ko-oren Central University, keeping the rivalry alive for next season!

This is the last of eight marathons, ran on Thaulandi. The biggest of all Towers was reserved for this event, and was demanding on the organization because 42,195 meters are hard to set out indoors. But here's the table:

Thaulandi Marathon
1 Dionisus Lelantos (IRO) 2:12:26
2 Moklahim Oarna (KOR) 2:13:19
3 Loki Vanaheim (ARO) 2:13:34
4 Dardantin Svumfi (KOR) 2:13:45
5 Tsukuyomi Kitami (TAO) 2:14:42
6 Koyane Kii (TAO) 2:15:07
7 Tir Norn (ARO) 2:17:11
8 Amate Iki (TAO) 2:19:44
9 Gehaulstar Enzher (KOR) 2:20:12
10 Ristothantrun Bogra (KOR) 2:20:55
11 Higiyahari Maklavon (KOR) 2:21:05
12 Zukar Bardhar (KOR) 2:21:16
13 5-63912 (THL) 2:21:18
14 Gianfar Benetnash (NKO) 2:22:10
15 Kakrugin Lashnigor (KOR) 2:22:28
16 Harlakigun Ligodhau (KOR) 2:22:34
17 Trogsp Numimun (KOR) 2:22:59

22 Bes Aten (ZAO) 2:24:45
23 Lestonar Otmengur (KOR) 2:24:57

26 Naos Hasale (NKO) 2:25:09
27 12-124472 (THL) 2:26:29
28 Herakles Japetes (IRO) 2:31:48
29 Hinor Kabithor (KOR) 2:35:46
30 Min Nabta (ZAO) 2:37:50
31 Karmanor Ofion (IRO) 2:41:47
— Vili Ratatosk (ARO) DNF
Svarlamn Skiringsal (ARO) DNF
Inihaon Thaulin (KOR) DNF
Mulifen Kapdilinan (NKO) DNF
13-197432 (THL) DNF

One Thaulandian DNF'ed on his home soil, but the rest made it, albeit with bad times. The Ko-orenite record was not broken here, so Numimun may call himself the record holder. Thaulin probably impressed everyone in general, though he gave up his 2nd and 3rd overall ranking as he did not make the finish in Thaulandi because of an injury.

Best times (top 3 per marathon)
1 Trogsp Numimun (KOR) 2:11:33 Arhoren
2 Inihaon Thaulin (KOR) 2:12:09 New Ko-oren
3 Dionisus Lelantos (IRO) 2:12:26 Thaulandi
4 Moklahim Oarna (KOR) 2:13:19 Thaulandi
5 Loki Vanaheim (ARO) 2:13:34 Thaulandi

11 Kakrugin Lashnigor (KOR) 2:15:56 Ningabasa
12 12-124472 (THL) 2:16:31 Ko-oren City
13 Higiyahari Maklavon (KOR) 2:16:32 Tangku
14 Dardantin Svumfi (KOR) 2:16:42 Arhoren
15 5-63912 (THL) 2:17:11 Mayara
16 Naos Hasale (NKO) 2:17:37 Taloren
17 Min Nabta (ZAO) 2:18:42 New Ko-oren
18 Loki Vanaheim (ARO) 2:18:49 Tangku
19 Etami Mesartim (NKO) 2:18:56 Mayara
20 Loki Vanaheim (ARO) 2:19:03 Ningabasa
21 Hektor Menemote (IRO) 2:19:07 Tangku
22 Koyane Kii (TAO) 2:19:21 Ningabasa
23 Karmanor Ofion (IRO) 2:19:33 Taloren
24 Lakanar Nistok (KOR) 2:19:53 Ko-oren City

This is it for the eight marathons in Greater Ko-oren, the next Olympiad's marathon runners will most likely be derived from here.
