There were 30 teams submitted this season, but a couple of rejections. Taeshan's entry was rejected for apparently being submitted on a whim. A reminder. The CdC's clue is in the title. I don't pore over submissions and check them all with a fine tooth comb, but any team I notice being submitted that isn't the league champions will get rejected. Boring Paradise's entry was also rejected, as I don't fancy a leauge that deems itself capable of submitting teams to both the CdC and the CEdC as worthy of inclusion here. Leaving twenty-eight (a little awkward) I culled the rankless entries of puppets to leave a neat twenty-four entries. Darmen's entry was good enough for CH, and therefore good enough for me. Again, more than a few Rushmori leagues neglected to specify their league champions signing up for the competition, as such they were excluded as per my warnings), meaning the format stays unchanged from last season.

Cygnus Cup XXI

The 21st Cygnus Cup sees the participation of 30 teams from 29 associations. FC Axel Heiburg, the title holders, qualified as defending champions despite not qualifying through the Polarian cup system. Twelve teams will take part in the first qualifying round, while six teams are put through to the second qualifying round. The remaining eight teams are given a bye to the first round proper.

There were unfortunately no bids to host the Cygnus Cup final once again, therefore it was announced that it will be held at the New Free Stone Stadium in Drayfill, Aels (cap. 39,000).

His first order of business, get a new stadium. Done. Second order, turn Nirvana into a powerhouse. Won’t happen immediately, but with experience its only a matter of time. (13th Place Finish)

AT A GLANCE
With three quarters of the season played, things really are heating up here in the business end of the season. Title competition is still heated as ever, the top four sides seperated by three points. The battle to avoid relegation is fierce as well, and no side looks totally guaranteed to go down. Let's take a closer look at things...

THE TITLE RACE
SABREFELL ATHLETIC were at the top of the table at the start of the season, but had a massive choke in the second quarter to let it slip. Nonetheless, the highly drilled and disciplined Athletic machine has clawed its way back into first, and is in pole position to defend its title. A point behind, AFC TREASON have similarly managed to force their way back into the spotlight. SABREFELL MOTHS may be third, but an incredible offense have pushed them into the best goal-difference of any of these sides, and CRISISBLESS have a similarly incredible defence. It seemed to be a two-horse race between the latter two until slight but noticeable dips in form of both created an opening for the others. From here, it's anyone's race.

THE BEST OF THE REST
AFC INTEGABAD have been making a name for themselves this season. The Integristan national team consists mostly of players from this club, and the pink and black have repaid that nationwide faith by storming to fifth. But the award for Surprise of the Season has to go to SOUTHFELL UNITED, who have clung tenaciously onto the region of sixth all season, compared to fourteenth last season. Their fluid, possession-based play has shown many in their path the Sideburn way. MAXIMUM CITY will be sorely disappointed that they have not overcome their foes, but apart from a sterling defence (second-best in the league) they have lacked a certain something going forward. VERMILLION RAGE and their rampant 3-4-3-with-wingbacks have scored an astonishing 89 goals in 34 games, with international striker Bruce Payne netting 23 alone... yet they've also let in 65, and that's alarmingly high. PARRHESIA UNITED sit ninth, three points behind, and have performed solidly all season. Finally, NEWROOK DEMOCRACY were unsettled by a wave of dreadful form, but regained their composure and retook tenth place. With 54 points, they have easily adapted the best of all the newly-promoted sides.

MID-TABLE MEDIOCRITY
LEOPOLIS HATEMONGERS, the other Integristani side, have pulled themselves rather forcefully up to 11th through hard work and sweat. They're a universally extremely fit side, one their nation can be proud of. BRINEMOUTH had an alarming dip in form, then recovered neatly to sit prettily at 12th. This clearly isn't their season to relive the glories of sixth last time around, but they've at least shored up their defence, and they look sure of their place now. RAGING FIRE HARES edge just under a goal a game, and it's hamstrung them in the end; they could do so much better. NORTH LAITHLAND, too, could be doing significantly better. Newly-promoted VIOLENCE CHARIOTS have been doing impressively, both scoring and conceding 70 goals, and a point behind them lies SOUTH LAITHLAND, who were undeservedly in trouble at the start of the season but a late break of exceptional form has left them high and clear of danger. Finally, CHENOWORTH ROVERS looked at times to be at risk, but they seem to have bailed themselves out for the season.

EVERYONE ELSE
With the return from injury of star winger Larissa Sacrilege, RHAGANT SCHADENFREUDE have shot up the rankings to likely safety at 18th, with 31 points. Every team below them, however, is at real risk, though all for different and fascinating reasons. CHENOWORTH HARRIERS are mediocre all over the pitch, GOODFEATHER FC has a paper defence, LEICARD CRIMEWAVE is puny in attack. The Crimewave in particular may well lose their Premiership status after their star player, goalkeeper A. von Specta, left them for Brinemouth in the Q3 Transfer Window. VALKYRJA HAWKS simply cannot pull themselves together to perform, even though they should theoretically be above all this... could the story of Crisisbless United last season be repeating itself? Signs point to yes. AFC ROCHFORD have been defying the odds ever since they were first promoted, and their tumble from grace is clumsy and undignified. Finally, MAINSTREAM FIST have been nailed to the floor all season... but they've shown signs of resistance, and they might just get away with it at the last.

A GLANCE AT LEAGUE ONE'S PROMOTION CANDIDATES
Currently heading the table are AFC Raven River, who made it to the penultimate stage of last season's Cup, with Corvette Maulers, Iron City and Brookford Otters (who were 24th in the Premiership last season) occupying the other spaces. Cranequin Wanderers and Maximum Rovers are equal on points, with Orbital Bombardment (relegated on the last day of last season) currently in 7th. As for the other relegated clubs, Crisisbless United were forced to sell off much of their talent, and are a distant 10th. Franchise FC are anonymous at 14th. AFC Steak are rooted to the bottom of the table, the Inner-East Fairywrens, Killingspree United and newly promoted Dubstep Rangers occupying the other relegation slots.

TRANSFER NEWS
With every quarter in New Sideburn comes a transfer window, generally of two weeks in length during mid-season. This one was fairly quiet, as are most of the short windows, yet some significant changes have been made.
Maximum City attempted to achieve some sense of solidity in attack by moving after a variety of strikers, but other sides mostly just took advantage of their desperation and fleeced them. They ended up having bought aging, mediocre Crisisbless benchwarmer Daryl Mackily, and having loaned out young prospect Eliza Flynning from Parrhesia United for the season.
Crisisbless United were forced to shed many of their players after last season's relegation, and many of them have found new homes. Goalkeeper Damian Shrewe has left for South Laithland, Rhagant Schadenfreude have finally picked up a creative midfielder in Darren Cray and a good wingback, Lilina Desmond, incisive striker Pavel Keynes has left for Raging Fire Hares (who have lacked for flair going forward) and another striker, Muscle international Gnaeus Tullus has left for Chenoworth Rovers.
Leicard Crimewave have prided themselves on their defence this season, yet their superb Echidnan goalkeeper Albert von Specta was bought out by Brinemouth, with reported interest from Southfell United and AFC Treason as well. Without their saving grace, they may prove a wreck. They desperately hired Hyskiglander Jan Felmen as cover, but an unproven 21-year old is not exactly what they're looking for.
North Laithland have also been dipping into the Hyskigland talent pool, picking up Aksel Svardaskar and Bror Helmensun, both young, yet blooded, players. They've lacked presence this season, so the extra manpower will not go amiss.
Two free agents have shipped out to distant Earent, as has ex-Maximum City manager Karlos Cypress. Possibly also soon headed for foreign shores are three of New Sideburn's internationals, whose contracts run out this season. Maximum City centre-back Olga Nihil and right-back Maria Stout may well look elsewhere for contracts and fame, as their club flounders in seventh, and Southfell United Dale Brightley is eager for glory as well. If any high-grade clubs are interested, they need only contact the NSFA.

Darmeni Premier League: Season IX

The ninth season of Professional Football in Darmen has reached its conclusion, and once again, Scott City FC, despite being over 50 million Babas in debt, can claim to be Premier League Champions. Lets see how they did it.

Opening day was exciting as always. Scott City FC started the campaign with a 5-0 win over Chuckio FC, while University Club defeated Darmen City United, 4-1. The Strykers and Crunch battled it out to a 1-1 draw, as did Johnho FC and Menomonie United. The Tim City Cyber Rays kicked off what would turn out to be one of the worst performances in league history with a 3-0 loss to Forden.

Johnho FC suffered their first loss of the season to the Crunch of Brady City, losing 6-0. Despite high hopes for the season, Bloomer FC started the season with three loses in three games, scoring only 1 and allowing 10. And then they beat the Strykers 6-3. Matchday Seven saw the Rogerton Whitecaps defeat Guard FC by the scoreline of 9-0. After four matches, Guard FC were one of two pointless teams, the other being the Cyber Rays, and had been outscored by 20-1. They Cyber Rays had six loses in six matches at this point.

Matchday Eight saw both Eau Claire teams playing well at home, as Aris FC drew with Scott City FC, 1-1, and EC United defeated Johnho FC, 7-1. Despite losing to Darmen City FC, 2-0, Menomonie United remained on top of the table, a single point clear of Eau Claire United. The top two teams in the league met on Matchday Nine, and drew 0-0, as Menomonie United stayed on top.

Derby Football begin on Matchday Eleven, as Darmen City United drew with DCFC, 2-2 at home. Matchday Thirteen saw Scott City FC take the lead in the Capital Derby, defeating the Beat 1-0 at home. The next day the Beat lost by seven goals, 8-1, effectively eliminating them from contending for the Capital Derby. Scott City FC closed out the first half of the Capital Derby with a 1-0 win over University Club, taking the three point lead in the Derby table. The day before that match, the Cyber Rays of Tim City earned their first point of the season, holding Brham United to a 0-0 draw.

Matchday Twenty's main event was the Eau Claire Derby, as Aris FC defeated United by a single goal. Scott City FC also got a 6-2 win over Menomonie United on that day. The next day however, Scott City FC performed very poorly, scoring only a single goal, and allowing a Cyber Ray's equaliser in the eightieth minute, as the Cyber Rays earned their second point of the season, and their fourth goal in seventeen matches.

After twenty-three match days, all twenty teams in the Premier League had reached the half way point of their campaigns. Augusta led the league, a single point clear of Scott City FC. Augusta's superb defense had given them a record of 16-1-2, allowing only four goals in twenty-three games. There was an eleven point gap between SCFC and the third place Crunch, who were tied on points with fourth place Aris FC at 37. Menomonie United, who had been the league leaders for a short time, were now sixth, with 33 points. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the table, it looked like a six team battle to avoid relegation. The Beat were in sixteenth place with 20 points, while Darmen City FC and Forden were in sixteenth and seventeenth place respectively. Johnho FC were a point behind Forden in eighteenth place, with 9 points. Guard FC were struggling to win matches, something they had done much more often the season before, and had only 7 points. And then there were the Cyber Rays, with 2 points in nineteen matches. Ouch.

Bloomer FC, despite having alot of international talent on their roster, struggled during their match with Scott City FC on Matchday Twenty-five, losing by five goals, while not scoring any of their own. On that same day, Darmen City FC drew with Augusta, 0-0, and Scott City FC regained the number one position. They'd never look back.

Scott City FC got a huge 5-1 victory over Eau Claire United on Matchday Twenty-seven. Meanwhile, Forden got a 0-0 draw with Chuckio FC, putting them eight points clear of the relegation zone. The Tim City Cyber Rays picked up their third point of the season on Matchday Twenty-nine, getting a 1-1 draw with Darmen City United. The next day, as they took on Chuckio FC, despite allowing five goals, the Cyber Ray's offense came to life, scoring three goals.

Scott City FC defeated Aris FC 3-0 on Matchday Thirty-one. If you thought things couldn't get any worse for the Cyber Rays, Matchday Thirty-three saw them lose to Eau Claire United. Final scoreline? 9-0.

Derby Football returned once again, as the two teams from Darmen City ended their final derby match with the scoreline of 0-0. They would have to share the title for this season. Scott City FC defeated the Beat 3-0 in the return leg of their derby matchup. The next day, the Beat got revenge for their previous 8-1 loss to University Club, winning 1-0. And the final match of the Capital Derby came and went, without much fan fare, as Scott City FC defeated the University Club, 4-0, claiming the title.

Another 9-0 loss for the Cyber Rays came on Matchday Thirty-Eight, this time against Brham United. But the next day, pure joy for Cyber Ray's fans. A 3-0 win against Guard FC brought them within two points of being in nineteenth place, although that would never happen.

The Beat defeated the Cyber Rays 7-0 on Matchday Forty-two, a day before Eau Claire United took a 1-0 win from Aris FC. The Eau Claire Derby title would have to be shared. Meanwhile, the Cyber Rays drew with Augusta, 1-1, scoring their thirteenth goal of the season.

Matchday Forty-four saw Scott City FC defeat the Cyber Rays, 7-0, while Augusta defeated the Crunch, 2-0. With two games left in the season for both teams, Augusta sat five points behind SCFC. Scott City FC's title chances rested in their own hands. Scott City FC defeated the Crunch, 5-0, on Matchday Forty-five, securing the title. Meanwhile, in the fight to avoid Relegation, Johnho FC and Forden drew, 0-0, as Forden secured at least one more season in the Premier League, while Johnho FC would get a chance to win their second League Championship title. In the fight for the final spot in the Globe Cup, four teams had a chance to claim the spot. They were: the Crunch (5th place), Menomonie United (6th place), the Strykers (7th place), and University Club (8th place). The Strykers defeated the Cyber Rays by the score of 5-0 on the final day of the regular season, while Menomonie United lost by three goals to Forden, and the Crunch and University Club ended their match in a 1-1 draw. But that draw was enough, and the Crunch claimed the spot in the Globe Cup.

In the League Championship, Padomera ran away with the league title, finishing the season with a 40-6-0 record. Darmen City AC finished second, and will return once again to the Premier League, as will the Tilden Mutiny. Juggzy FC finished 2 points behind the Mutiny, missing out on promotion, but earning a spot in the Series B Champion's Cup. 1120 Eau Claire, Sporting Eau Claire, and Chuckio United were relegated. Club Jim Falls won the League One title, while Esporte Scott City won League Two.

So despite all of their financial difficulties, Scott City FC pulled off a double, at least so far, with the Premier League title and the League Cup title. Tilden Mutiny's 13-1 win over Lynx FC wasn't enough to give the Mutiny the momentum to defeat Scott City FC in the Round of Sixteen, and Darmen City FC and the Crunch couldn't find a way to knock off the reigning Champions.

Next up is the Darmen Cup, where all 700+ teams will compete to crown themselves as Champions, and other postseason competitions as well.

Maklohi Vai Association Football League Season 3

The third season begins with the anticipation of a new division 2 being added for this cycle. The traditional top tier teams now have more incentive not to finish last, as 3 teams will be relegated/promoted. There was also a decision made by the governing council to put up Maklohi Vai's finest stadium for a candidate to be used for the final of the Globe Cup.

In the Vaian League Cup, all 40 teams are seeded in order with Division 2 starting at the end of division 1. The top 4 teams get a bye to the quarterfinals, and teams 5-8 get a bye to the Round of 12. The other 32 teams play three games to get to a group of 4, who move to the Ro12.

Constructed 3 years ago, it has become a symbol of the growth of football in the nation and its love for the game. The stadium was constructed for the purpose of drawing attention to the rising Vaian football program, as well as to draw potential hosting bids such as this one. The stadium has already hosted the final of the Friendly Cup 7, widely regarded by Vaian media as one of the best organized international finals in the hosting history of Maklohi Vai. The stadium is located on the water north of Kolo Lahi, the capital, and has several thoroughfares and public transit options to serve it, as well as Kolo Lahi International Airport just a 25 minute drive away. Fans will be provided with a shuttle to downtown Kolo Lahi, where there are numerous restaurants, bars, lodging, and entertainment.

Part I Review

The First Matchday of the Premier League went off in great fashion. With this being the first season since members of the Blade League broke away that all teams have joined together again. Not much was known coming into the season, but there were still a few surprises in the first Match Week including Bluepools away draw at Skyline City. The weekend was capped off by a thrilling 8 goal affair between Federation and Skyline United in which Skyline United scored 5 goals including a brace from Tappy Shogun and Frankie Corona.

Matchday 2 once again provided for some great action all around the Premier League. Possibly the greatest shock of the season occurred when Federation defeated Mangolana City 5-2. This is made even more great when Federation came from 2-1 down in the 34th minute. A hat-trick from Brett Mallon helped propel Federation to victory. Skyline City was able to get back on track following their opening 1-1 draw by defeating Wanacana on the road.

Federation continued their goalscoring run on its 3rd Matchday by defeating Commonbel 2-0 on the road. Mascona FC suffered a home loss to their rival Mangolana City in a game where the 2-0 scorline did not show thier poorness. 10 man Carleck lost on the road 2-1 following a 38th minute red card to Shane Kelly while leading 1-0. The first match of the Skyline Derby was played between Skyline City and Skyline FC. Skyline City would win the match 2-1 but almost were forced to settle for a draw when Skyline FC scored in the 87th minute and barely missed a Free-Kick goal in the 93rd minute.

The second and highly anticipated stage of the Skyline Derby was contested on Matchday 4. Following City's win over FC last week, They knew a win could all but clinch there Skyline Derby title. Skyline United on the other hand had other ideas. United took the lead in the 2nd minute off a Tappy Shogun Set piece. They looked to hold on for the win until City struck in the 78th minute off a corner to give both teams a deserved 1-1 draw. Arsenrall continues there winning streak with a 1-0 win over Goldshom FC while Mascona FC continued to struggle at home with a 1-0 loss to Commonbel.

Following last weeks second stage of the Skyline Derby, both Skyline City and United suffered defeats. Skyline City lost 2-1 to Mangolana City while Skyline United lost at Soccoroo 1-0. Federation's impressive season continued with a 3-1 away win at Goldshom FC. The National Derby first leg also took place this week with Mascona Fidel drawing Mascona FC 1-1. Mascona FC, who on mutiple occasions almost conceded a second goal, continued their horrible run to begin the season. Arsenrall also remained on its winning streak by defeating Dalenderain 2-0. Arsenrall has yet to concede a goal this season.

Arsenrall's unprecedented shut-out run this season has continued this week as they defeated bottom feeder Sarcaloss 2-0. They are only 56 minutes from breaking the all-time record in Mangolana soccer for longest consecutive shut-outs. Mascona FC continued to struggle, drawing Goldshom FC 1-1 at home. Many fans have already begun to call for manager Alex Stand's resignation as the team continues to struggle for wins. Federation also continued there great run of form with a 2-1 win over Dalenderain.

Arsenrall is now in the history books for Mangolana Soccer. Through 7 full matches this season, they have yet to concede a goal. The record was taken by Arsenrall as they shut-out Carleck 2-0. Mascona FC finally got back in the win column with 2-0 win over the under-achieving Dalenderain. Federation continued their great run by defeating Sarcaloss on the road 2-1. This marks Federations best start to a season in team history.

Skyline United's Tappy Shogun tied the most goals in a game record when he score all 4 goals for United in their 4-0 shut-out of Wanacana. Arsenrall also continued their Shut-out streak when they defeated Redpool 2-0. Following last weeks win, Mascona FC made it 2 in a row with a 1-0 win over Sarcaloss. Federation's win streak was snapped with a 1-1 home draw against Carleck. Soccoroo also continued their great form this season with a 2-0 win over Mascona Fidel.

The third leg of the Skyline Derby has taken place with Skyline FC topping United 1-0 at home. With the First half of the Derby series over, City leads with 4 points while FC sits second now with 3 and United sits in last with a lonely 1 point. Federation lost their first match since the first matchday when they lost to Redpool 1-0. Mascona FC struggles continue following their 2 straight wins as they lose to bottom feeder Carleck 1-0. Soccoroo has placed themselves second in the first quarter of the season following their 3-0 win over Goldshom FC. Arsenrall has completed the first quarter though going perfect with 9 wins and 0 goals allowed, which continues to extend the league record for longest consecutive shut-outs.

CRISISBLESS vs. SOUTHFELL UNITED

A crowd of over forty thousand came to Crisisbless as they took on renegade overachievers Southfell United at Nightmare Stadium. Southfell were fresh off scalping AFC Treason, 1-1 then 4-3 on penalties, and Crisisbless had triumphed over Raging Fire Hares 1-0. Southfell captain Malicia Drake won the toss, and from kickoff 'til the first goal the red and gold dominated proceedings. Within five minutes, Jack Torch had broken through on goal, but one-on-one specialist Portia Thrift showed why she'd earned her place in the national roster, rushing and pressuring him into blazing over the bar.

On the twelfth minute, however, Southfell broke through. Jon Pace started a leisurely run, then caught Anna Shrike off-guard, cutting into the box and letting fly a vicious shot. Thrift parried it away, but only as far as Leyland Stallion who smashed it into the net.

Crisisbless learned from their mistake, however, and stopped allowing Southfell to beat them off the pitch. Their defence clammed up, and they allowed Southfell enough rope to hang themselves with. Attack after attack was repulsed, and soon they had their own chance. A botched cross was punched away easily by Thrift, who cleared it long enough for left-forward Catherine Locklear to capture. Locklear's strength does not lie in her pace, however, and she was brought down and fouled not far from the penalty area, earning Robert Keen a largely unnecessary caution. The decisive moment came when Southfell were once again caught on the counter-attack, a pass intercepted by captain Paine, who passed quickly to Locklear, who laid open a superb lob over the last defender. Lachlan Spyder and Rick Tailspin both went for it, Spyder realising at the last moment they'd clash just outside of the area but too late to remedy his mistake. Tailspin took control of the ball with a finesse touch with his right, then slid it past Spyder with his left.

And Crisisbless could've made it two-one, a Paine corner finding Tailspin unmarked, but he proved wasteful and his header just scraped over the bar. The teams entered the dressing rooms level at half-time. But it was clear when play resumed that Crisisbless still had the best of it. Within four minutes, Paine (who was exceptional throughout, dominating the unfortunate left-back, Taylor Argyle) had darted through in a 2-on-2 situation. She laid it across the last defender (Lance Buck) and to Scabbard, who showed no hesitation in smashing the ball into the back of the net.

Southfell started to mount a comeback, and forces remained at a balance for most of the second half, when suddenly Helena Ritter pulverised Roger Steed in the box, giving away a penalty. Dale Brightley stepped up to the plate... but his shot was very ordinary, and Thrift predicted right and slapped it away, then pounced on the loose ball before Steed could get a foot to it.

But equilibrium did eventually restore itself, as poor defending lead to Stallion having the ball unmarked just outside the box with just three minutes left to play before added time. An expert marksman, Stallion drilled it perfectly into the top-right and just beyond Thrift's reach. 2-2, the final score.

CHENOWORTH HARRIERS vs. CRISISBLESS

A rare capacity stadium for struggling Chenoworth, as with a win they would be through to the final. They brought an unchanged side to Crisisbless, though it has to be said not many expected them to be successful. Crisisbless changed two players from their first game, placing Margot Deadeye in the first 11, and adding recent academy graduate Gordon Blossom to left-midfield. Immediately, he showed his worth, as within five minutes he'd taken possession from Jack Woodsman and made a long forward pass that Alicia Scabbard was more than able to take full advantage of. Karla Rangerover rushed forward but overextended herself, and Scabbard made a simple flick to carry the ball into the back of the net. Things already looked grim for the Harriers.

Things went from bad to worse seven minutes later, as Lacklustria international Tomas Proudfoot flattened Crisisbless captain Lorelei Paine just outside the box. Paine's free kick curved neatly over the wall and just over Rangerover's flailing arms. 2-0 within 12 minutes.

But this, if anything, only inspired the Harriers to fight back. With a five-man midfield, they were able to wrest back some possession, but the Crisisbless defence (the best in the entire Premiership) closed ranks against them and attack after attack was repulsed. Finally, Diana Candle's pass managed to find Brooke Forde in space, and the attacking midfielder showed why many clubs were keeping a healthy interest in her for next transfer window, and why she'll almost certainly be bought out should the Harriers go down. With remarkable class she outwitted Blakewell with a cunning stepover before slotting past an onrushing Portia Thrift.

The Harriers continued to press hard for the rest of the half, but the score was still 2-1 against them by the end of it. When both sides came out of the dressing room, it was clear that Hew Irongut had shouted some spirit into his men, and Crisisbless immediately took hold of the game again. Two more dangerous attacks were only stopped by Rangerover's reflexes and the crossbar respectively, and a third was foiled when Rick Tailspin blazed over an open net. However, on the 58th minute, he redeemed himself and killed off the game, rising above two defenders to head home a corner. Gordon Blossom was rewarded for his hard work over the course of the game as well, being found unmarked and in space and smashing it home past Rangerover in the 71st minute. That killed off the game, and when the whistle was blown the score was 4-1. Crisisbless were through to the final.

SABREFELL ATHLETIC vs. PARRHESIA UNITED

Nobody could accuse either side of not taking this match seriously; both teams went for their full-strength lineups. Unlike the other group, where there was a clear wooden spoon candidate in Chenoworth Harriers (who were in a relegation scrap), every team in this group was in the Top 10, and nobody could afford to take chances. The game started well for both sides, Sabrefell having a slight edge, but Parrhesia's patience soon paid off. Oskar Panzerfaust flattened Judith Lyons and the referee ignored all calls for a foul. Panzerfaust, presented with an open left flank, jinked past Outcast the rightback and smashed it into the box. Fitzmarten rose above Moritz St. Hammond to catch the ball, but it was a moment of danger as soon as the seventh minute. Another tense moment soon followed, this time with Athletic in possession. International star Karelline Charmwell brushed past challenges from Nihil and Plymouth, before Fontaine's pressure finally forced her into an awkward, off-balance shot that went narrowly wide, though had it been on target Urquhart was well-positioned to make the save.

It was the eighteenth minute that a breakthrough happened, however, and it started with a long throw into the box. There was an undignified scramble for the ball, which the muscular Parrhesian captain, Gertrude Hammer, came on top of. Her shot came forcefully through and Kurtis Fitzmarten made a rare error, failing to close her down, and the ball just narrowly squirrelling between his hands. Sabrefell's green-and-red visitors cheered raucously, and that drove both sides into a frenzy.

The next few minutes were a battle for possession in midfield, marked by superior technique from Athletic (lead by expert playmaker Pavel Ironclad) but momentum decidedly in Parrhesia's favour. Even so, Ironclad managed to sneak a pass by Helga Nihil (whose performance was decidedly average until she was substituted off in the second half), finding Echidnation international Sofia Waechter in space. Waechter feinted past Parrhesia's wingback, Bryan Mustang, and forced Wilhelm Urquhart into an incredible diving save. Urquhart proved why, if Asger Stubbs truly does retire after the World Cup, he can lay a real claim to a terracotta jersey.

But it was another international winger, homegrown idol Grant Beardsley, who would make his mark on the scene next. Urquhart smashed the ball far upfield, and John Tumbler and Kyle Renown nearly killed each other trying to get it. It was headed wildly clear to Beardsley, who found himself out of position but in a lot of space. He slid the ball to Hammer, who fired it straight at the keeper who parried it away to the left, but Beardsley was on hand to finish the chance he'd started, sliding in desperately to convert the goal, if only just.

This only provoked a harder fightback from Sabrefell, and the reds soon had their comeback goal, their dominance in midfield steadily pushing Parrhesia back into their own half. Finally, Ironclad's long pass found Helmut Eberhardt in space, and despite calls for offside the Echidnation striker smashed it off the far post and into the net in a masterful volley. The goal stood, and though the sides went into the break 2-1 things felt decidedly like it was anyone's game.

However, Parrhesia proved the better side in the second half, and though it could not manage a breakthrough Athletic were unsuccessful as well. Centreback Renown was brought off for an extra striker in the 86th minute, but this turned against them, as a quick counter-attack lead to Rutger Mackray, relatively fresh off the bench, springing past the defence in leaps and bounds. 2-on-2, Mackray passed just between and out of reach of both Lukas Strongnesse and Fitzmarten, and St. Hammond rolled the ball into an empty net. 3-1 the final score, and the defending champions of the Premiership had a lot of ground to cover if they wanted to make it to the final.

MAXIMUM CITY vs. SABREFELL ATHLETIC

The second match of three, with everything to play for. Sabrefell Athletic made three changes, one of them forced; Kyle Renown had just broken his leg in the 4-0 thrashing of the national side by New Ecopia. As a result, Hugh Grip made a start at centre-back, highly-regarded prospect Darren Parrett, fresh off a loan to First Division side Falston-on-Ceynes United, made a start at right midfield, and Warner Garfield replaced Ted Aberforth as a striker. Maximum City were playing at full strength, save the use of their number 12 keeper, Crewe, who was generally preferred for cup fixtures. Their 5-3-2 was very unusual for a New Sideburn side, but it had worked in practice; they had the second tightest defence in the league.

Their cohesion and discipline paid off as Athletic's initial thrusts proved ineffective. Besides a long-distance effort from Parrett that forced more effort from Crewe than it really should have done, the first ten minutes went without a shot fired in anger. Yet patient play lead to some cracks showing, and Pavel Ironclad exploited one of them, a single expert pass slicing the defence neatly in half. Garfield and Crewe both rushed for the ball, Garfield's boot coming a narrow first, but Crewe palmed it out of play for a corner, getting a set of studs in the chest for his trouble. Darren Freepress's men pressed fiercely onwards, but were unable to trouble the keeper further through the half. For Maximum's part, they were largely meted out in midfield, and the only chance they had was a long, route one pass to Aldous Huckerby, who fed a weak shot into Kurtis Fitzmarten's arms.

In the second half, changes had been made. Parrett was off in favour of Judith Lyons, who had started against Parrhesia. Maximum City, meanwhile, aimed to bolster their attack by bringing on Belle Receipt and Ninian Locksmith. The half started much like the last, but in the 62nd minute Ironclad found the Maximum defence wanting again, smashing a forward pass just perfectly for Garfield, and this time he made the most of the pass, bouncing it off his chest and to his feet to smash an excellent volley into the back of the net.

Now Maximum were forced to move forward. Marion Delaney made way for midfielder Brady Topknot, and sweeper Emmet Lapwing shuffled forward to shift the team into a conventional 4-4-2. Athletic didn't stop pushing, but now the battle in midfield was evenly matched, and Wilbur Olive rose above his man in a throw-in to head to Huckerby. The large, athletic striker muscled past Sabrefell's leftback, but once again his shot was straight at the keeper. A few more chances came and went for either side, but ultimately it stayed 1-0.

PARRHESIA UNITED vs. MAXIMUM CITY

As Maximum City entered a sold-out Parrhesia Park, they were aware that both sides involved could still win this. Athletic were out by virtue of a goal difference that either Parrhesia or Maximum would end the day beating. But Maximum could salvage their position with a win of two goals or more. As a result, Pearce Aimbot elected to select the 4-4-2 that had very nearly secured a result against Athletic. Edmund Agincourt stuck to Rutger Mackray as a playmaker, which had the side-effect of avoiding a clash between the Nihil sisters, and put faith in young striker Stephen Flood. Both sides were ready to make a proper fight of this one.

Maximum rushed forward with blood on their minds, hoping to smash their opponents off the field. It worked, too. Their four midfielders simply bullied the Parrhesian midfield off the ball, and shockingly managed to string a few passes together. Linda Matthews, who had been utterly anonymous last game, was on fire in this one, slipping away from Fontaine, her marker, and slipping on to the end of a Brady Topknot pass. Clear on goal with only the keeper to beat, Wilhelm Urquhart got a hand to it but couldn't clear it enough and it ended buried in the bottom-left corner. An early lead for Maximum City.

Within thirty minutes, they'd doubled that lead. Grant Beardsley was uncharacteristically hesitant on the ball, and young prospect Julian Groves neatly dispossessed him. Groves waved the rest forward, passed on to unmarked Harold Barton when he was placed under pressure, and Barton smashed the ball into the box. Urquhart, Lorraine Plymouth and Aldous Huckerby all leapt for the ball, but ultimately the ball fell to Belle Receipt, who smashed the ball into an empty net. City almost netted a third when a long pass caught them on the break, but Matthews' shot was saved.

Parrhesia entered the dressing room utterly shell-shocked at half-time, but much to everyone's surprise, the same squad entered back onto the pitch, without substitutions. They looked far more lively, at that. Oskar Panzerfaust, the favoured son of Integristan, pounced on a loose ball and janked past a flat-footed Receipt, sliding it neatly to Flood. Flood made the best of his third appearance, provoking Crewe into a rash charge before lobbing it over. His first goal for the club, and well-taken at that. Parrhesia were leading the group again, if only by virtue of goal difference. And just three minutes later, City found themselves overwhelmed in midfield again, Beardsley finding the ball this time and performing one of his trademark inside runs to shoot straight past Crewe from outside the area.

The famed Maximum defence was falling apart, and it was seemingly inevitable that they'd concede a losing goal. Rutger Mackray let off a thunderous volley at range, but Crewe punched it over the bar. A neat enough bit of goalkeeping, but Mackray's quick corner scythed through some appalling marking to find a totally open St. Hammond, who gave a powerful header past Crewe for the winning goal. 3-2 the final score, and Parrhesia United were in the final.

THE FINAL

Farham Theatre, named for Joan Farham, first woman player in the New Sideburn professional leagues. It's a staggering 120,000-seater stadium in the heart of Sabrefell, belonging to no club and in use purely for massive occasions like this. It's a monument to football, with a beautiful, lush pitch kept in fine condition. There's an entire museum inside it, too, and it's open to the public when there isn't a game on. When there is, though... Farham Theatre becomes sacred ground.

Crisisbless and Parrhesia United both receive standing ovations as their teams enter, and the massive bronze goblet that is the New Sideburn Cup is clearly within view throughout the match, kept between the managers vying for it. The bookies strongly favour Crisisbless, who with 36 games played have notched up 23 wins, 9 draws and 71 goals, with just 28 conceded (the least in the league). They sit at 3rd, where Parrhesia United are 9th, with 17 wins and 11 draws, 73 scored and 47 conceded. That's a gap of sixteen points. Even so, competition has been tight head-to-head; when at home, Crisisbless managed a close 1-0 victory, and Parrhesia scalped a 1-1 draw. This looks to be a close fixture.

It's made more impressive by a grand total of five of the international starting eleven (if you count Portia Thrift, who makes an appearance a good 50% of the time) on the field; Thrift, Shrike, Harm and Scabbard for Crisisbless, and Beardsley taking the field for Parrhesia. Crisisbless centre-back Helen Ritter is a starter for Echidnation, and Parrhesia's Oskar Panzerfaust for Integristan. For what it's worth, even referee Blake Ringfield is generally considered world-class.

Gertrude Hammer wins the toss for Parrhesia United, who opt to kick off. Both sides play in flat 4-3-3s, but beyond that their styles are far different, Crisisbless favouring patience and Parrhesia constantly pressing and fighting for the ball. This shows in the opening minutes, as St. Hammond takes the ball and paces forward menacingly as other green-and-red shirts dash ahead. He lays it off to Panzerfaust, who darts ahead but is foiled by Shrike. The ball bounces away to the feet of Rutger Mackray, who rifles off a forward pass intended for Hammer until Ritter intercepts it with her face.

The game continues in a similar vein until the eleventh minute, when Crisisbless flash forward in a counter attack. Rook Harm grabs hold of possession and smashes over a route one pass that sends Fontaine and Tailspin scrambling for the ball. Tailspin gets the better of it, heading it to Scabbard who is through on goal, but her expertly taken shot is denied by Wilhelm Urquhart.

Two minutes later and Parrhesia have rushed upfield again. Mackray senses blood and attempts to brush past Harm, but the defender has none of it and flattens him with a shoulder. Ringfield, who was trained abroad and thus has funny notions of what constitutes a foul, immediately blows his shrill whistle and cautions him. Harm bites back a curse, but nothing comes of the free kick. John Tumbler hooks it over the wall, but the shot is soft and Thrift has no trouble simply leaping and grabbing it.

Mackray and Margot Deadeye smash into each other in the twentieth minute, almost injuring the United playmaker, but when Ringfield is satisfied no harm was done, he announces a dropped-ball. Deadeye proves far better at it than the evidently still dazed Mackray, and hooks the ball off for Scabbard. Short of options, she passes it back to a charging Deadeye, and her shot is deflected off of Fontaine, bouncing to Catherine Locklear. The Crisisbless striker may have been experiencing a poor run of form lately, but she proved she still had what it takes with a classy move to take the ball beyond Urquhart's reach, then slotting it into an empty net. Plymouth slid in, narrowly too late, and Crisisbless had a lead they would be loath to give up.

Parrhesia's fightback is fierce, but Crisisbless weathers it expertly. However, Markus Blakewell with the ball at his feet proves oddly hesitant, and Mackray takes full advantage, poking the ball between his legs and running by him. Ritter rushed him, but Mackray laid it sideways for St. Hammond to rush through and smash it past Thrift with incredible force. The scores were level at the 43 minute mark, and that's how it stayed into half-time.

As both sides emerged from the tunnel, it had begun to rain. Mercifully, New Sideburn keeps a convertible, electric roof on all its stadiums at what seems like great expense; ultimately saving money due to not needing to repair pitches as much and never having to reschedule a match, let alone cancel one. Parrhesia emerged the better side, and spurred on by their frantically gesturing manager they pulled ahead in the sixty-sixth minute. Chance after chance had been frantically beaten back by uncharacteristically desperate defending from Crisisbless, but ultimately it was a corner that proved their downfall. Unassuming but tenacious defender Lucia Fontaine was overlooked, unmarked and forced a diving header just inside the far post. There was nothing Portia Thrift could do besides curse her defenders' poor marking.

With ten minutes to go, however, Crisisbless had the greatest chance in the game. They broke through on the counter-attack that had been so effective in the past, and left-winger Nathan Tremor had three white-and-blue striped shirts in the box to pass to. He crossed past Mustang, Fontaine slid in and missed the block, Tailspin missed, Scabbard was too far out to even try, it bounced over the foot of Plymouth (who may well have ended up poking it into her own net) and only Locklear caught the ball with an awkward sliding half-volley that Urquhart defied with a magnificent stretching save. Locklear lay in the grass, stunned for a good five seconds, almost not believing that the chance had been missed.

When the whistle went, great cheers erupted from the green-clad supporters of Parrhesia. Henry Crossbow, President of the NSFA, handed the trophy to Agincourt and Hammer, who lifted it jointly. A well-won victory for Parrhesia, more evidence of perennial runners-up syndrome for Crisisbless, and another immensely entertaining cup final.

Part II Review

In a what could be called the match of this season up to this point, The surprise Federation team has shocked the Formerly perfect Arsenrall. Arsenrall, coming into the match had no goals allowed and 9 wins. The shut-out record would come to an end for Arsenrall early, as Federation scored 11 minutes into the match on their way to a 2-0 win over Arsenrall. Mascona FC continued its horrible season following the week 9 break with a 2-1 home loss to Redpool. Soccoroo and Skyline United gained ground on Arsenrall with Soccoroo 1-1 draw and United's 2-0 home win.

Following Federation's shocking home win over Arsenrall, Federation fell trap to Justidell as they lost 2-1 at PNC Arena. Arsenrall also returned to form as they shut-out Mascona FC 1-0 at home. Following the match Mascona FC manager Alex Stand was called to a meeting with ownership. It is believed that he is on the verge of being fired. Soccoroo continued their undefeated season so far with a 2-0 win over Sarcaloss. Dalenderain finally ended their winless skid with a 2-0 away win at Herogeos while Skyline City dominated Carleck for a 4-1 away win. Skyline United defeated Mangolana City in the match of the week with a 1-0 win off a 67th minute goal from Tappy Shogun.

It is now official. Following Mascona FC's home loss to Federation, Alex Stand has been fired by the Mascona FC board of directors. Under first year manager Alex Stand, Mascona FC had their worst start in 4 seasons. The team currently sits at 3-3-6 with 12 points. A replacement has not been named but assistant manager Fred Miles has been made interim manager. Arsenrall defeated Nirvana 2-0 on the road to retain the lead in the Premier League as Soccoroo came from behind at home to defeat Carleck 3-2 in a thriller that saw Soccoroo come from 2-1 down in the final 14 minutes. Every team from Skyline won this weekend as United defeated Commonbel 2-1, FC defeated Mascona Fidel 3-0 and City defeated Redpool 2-0.

Mascona FC won their first match this week under Interim manager Fred Miles. They defeated the recently streaking Justidell 2-1 at PNC Arena. Federation demolished Nirvana with 4 first half goals in their route. Arsenrall defeated Skyline City 1-0 through a controversial penalty which many thought came from a dive. Skyline FC dominated Goldshom FC, winning 5-0 including a Hat-trick by Jorge Okoli. Bluepool also continued their renewed form by defeating Sarcaloss 3-0. Soccoroo was also held to a 0-0 draw at Redpool in a very poor game for goal chances.

Mascona FC's great preformance last week looks more like a fluke now following their horrible 3-0 away defeat at Nirvana. Mascona FC is currently on track to have their worst season in team history should the trend continue. In the match of the week, Arsenrall defeated Soccoroo 2-0 at Kingsman Stadium in a top of the table clash. Federation earned another shock win this season with their 3-2 win at Skyline City. Sarcaloss also earned a shock draw with Wanacana. Goalkeeper Steve Cropper had 12 saves in the match.

The First leg of the Derby de Poolings has ended into a draw. With the first leg taking place at the Rush-Mango Stadium, Redpool and Bluepool played to an earned 1-1 draw. Mascona FC showed that maybe last week was a fluke, when they demolished Skyline City 5-1. Federation lost their first match in 4 weeks when they lost a hard fought battle to Soccoroo 1-0. Arsenrall continued their great season with a 2-0 win over recently struggling Herogeos. Skyline FC defeated Sarcaloss by a 4-0 scoreline. Sarcaloss is currently sitting dead last in the Premier League.

It is becoming more and more apparent in Mascona that Mascona FC either dominates or gets dominated. Mascona FC this week was dominated as they lost to Soccoroo 1-0. Word still from Mascona FC is they are still far off from naming a permanent manager. Herogeos fought for a 3-3 home draw with Federation while Sarcaloss played ball control in their draw with Skyline United. One week removed from the first leg of the Derby de Poolings, both Bluepool and Redpool lost with Bluepool suffering a 3-0 defeat at home to top of the table Arsenrall while Redpool lost 1-0 to Wanacana at Smelters Field. Skyline City rebounded from their 5-1 loss to defeat Nirvana 2-0.

Federation lost 6-2 to Bluepool in one of the most controversial games of the season in which 3 Federation players and 1 Bluepool player were sent off for arguing with the ref. The game is currently under review to see if any suspensions will be reversed. Mascona FC managed to draw Herogeos at home 1-1 even though they were dominated for most of the match. Skyline United defeated Carleck 3-0 in what has been a quiet season for them. Arsenrall and Soccoroo both won as Soccoroo attempts to reel in the lead that Arsenrall has taken so far. Mangolana City continued their upswing as they once again one, this time defeating Sarcaloss.

Following last weeks controversial sending-offs of three Federation players and one Bluepool players, The Mangolana Soccer Association announced that all suspensions would be overturned. This turned out to help Federation as they defeated Wanacana on the road 2-1. Mascona FC defeated Bluepool 1-0 at Jimenez Top Stadium as they look to begin their climb back up the Premier League. Arsenrall drew a much weaker Skyline FC team 1-1 thanks to a 92 minute goal by Chris Casey. Soccoroo suffered a set-back in their hunt for a Premier League title when they lost at home to Skyline City. Mangolana City continued their winning streak with a 1-0 win over Carleck.

For the first time all season, Soccoroo suffered back to back losses as there title hopes took a major setback with their loss to Justidell 1-0. Meanwhile Arsenrall defeated their rival Skyline United on the road with a 2-0 win in front of the sold out Clydsedale Stadium. Federation earned a 3-1 home win over Skyline FC as they look to set themselves up for a shot at the Globe cup following the season. Mangolana City's win streak continued with their 3-0 shut-out of Redpool who has begun to struggle as of late. Mascona FC defeated Wanacana 2-1 at home while Goldshom FC defeated the much underachieving Dalenderain.

Part III Review

Following the Mid-season break for Mangolana Cup and League Cup competion (Results displayed at bottom of post), League play has resumed to what can be considered normal. Federation earned revenge for there opening day 5-3 home loss to Skyline United with a 2-1 win. Mascona FC's horrid season has continued thru the break in league play with a 1-0 loss at Skyline FC. Arsenrall on the other hand, has had their hot streak continue as they defeated Mangolana City 1-0. Sarcaloss earned their second win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Goldshom FC. Soccoroo continues to try their best to keep pace with Arsenrall, defeating Herogeos 2-0. Wanacana lost to Nirvana in a battle of two teams fighting to avoid relegation.

3 of the top four won this week with Federation being the lone loser as they suffered defeat 2-0 at Mangolana City. Arsenrall continued their leading campaign with a 2-1 away win at Commonbel. Soccoroo defeated Bluepool 2-1 and Skyline United defeated abysmal Mascona FC. Goldshom FC bounced back from last weeks loss at bottom team Sarcaloss with a 4-1 win over Carleck. Redpool has regained their touch with a 2-0 away win at Mascona Fidel. All three bottom teams lost this week while all three Skyline teams won.

You know what they say, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". If this saying applies, it must mean Mascona FC is not tough. Mascona FC suffered their worst loss in 3 years when they were annihilated by their Rival Mangolana City 5-0. Mascona FC already was suffering supporter pro-tests, but now, it appears nothing can turn their season around. Arsenrall ans Skyline United both won this week by a score of 2-0. The Fourth leg of the Skyline Derby was won by Skyline FC as they defeated City 1-0 and took the lead in the Skyline Derby. With a City win next week over United, FC can clinch their first ever Skyline Derby. Federation got back to winning ways with a 2-1 home win over Commonbel. Wanacana put Soccoroo's title hopes on life support following their away loss to Wanacana who now attempts to crawl out of the relegation area.

The most anticipated part of the Skyline Derby has left us a great match to anticipate for the sixth and Final leg as Skyline United defeated City 2-0 to set up a Skyline United vs. Skyline FC finale for the Derby title. If FC wins or draws United, FC will win their first ever Skyline Derby, while a United win keeps the Derby title with United. Mascona FC suffered a humiliating defeat at Commonbel 1-0 in a match were Commonbel controlled the ball for 87% of the match. Arsenrall blasted Goldshom FC 3-1 on the road while Soccoroo became basically eliminated for the title following their home loss to Skyline FC 1-0. Herogeos embarrassed Wanacana as they defeated them 5-0 at home. Mangolana City drew on the road 1-1 at Nirvana.

If their is any bright spot this season for Mascona FC, it comes in the form that they won the National Derby (3-2 aggregate) following their 2-0 home win over Mascona Fidel. Skyline City and Mangolana City combined for 9 goals as City defeated Mangolana City on the road 6-3. Soccoroo may have now sealed the title for Arsenrall as Soccoroo defeated Skyline United 1-0 on the road. Federation defeated Goldshom FC 2-1 as they look for their first ever top 4 finish. Arsenrall defeated Dalenderain 1-0 at home. All three bottom table clubs earned draws this week to give each a point of improvement in the standings.

Match of the year by far took place this week as Dalenderain made an impossible comeback to stun Federation 4-3. The score at Half-time was 3-0 for Federation. Dalenderain was sprung by Akeem Howard who had a hat-trick which included the game winning goal in the 90+2 minute. Mascona FC continued their season of whoes with a 2-2 draw at Goldshom FC. Mangolana City gained on Soccoroo by defeating them 1-0. Arsenrall defeated Bottom table Sarcaloss 1-0 while Skyline United defeated Herogeos 1-0. Skyline FC won 2-1 at Bluepool who dominated for most of the game. Skyline City fresh off their 6 goal outburst drew Commonbel 0-0 at home.

Soccoroo's great start to the season has faded drastically now as they lose once again, this time at Commonbel. Mascona FC scored their first win over a non Mascona based team in this half of the season when they defeated Dalenderain 3-0. Federation was forced to draw Sarcaloss at home in a match that they vastly underpreformed in. Arsenrall continued their winning streak with a 4-0 win over Carleck. Relegation Zone Wanacana found a way to draw at Skyline FC 1-1 as they fight to get themselves out of relegation. Skyline United drew Bluepool 1-1 while gaining Mangolana City won 3-1 at home against Herogeos.

Skyline City found their scoring touch again as they bombed Goldshom FC 5-0 on the road as they try and salvage their season. Mangolana City won on the road 4-2 against Bluepool as they continue to make their climb up thru the standings. Mascona FC extended their win streak to two as they defeated bottom dweller Sarcaloss 1-0. Skyline United defeated Wanacana 2-0 on the road while Soccoroo drew Mascona Fidel 2-2 at home as their season has begun to falter. Federation lost to Relegation zone Carleck as they are now battling to try and finish in the top four. Arsenrall extended their win streak with a 1-0 road win at Redpool.

Many Shockers took place this week, but none bigger than Skyline FC's defeat of Skyline United to earn FC their first ever Skyline Derby title. The Final score of the match was 3-2. Wanacana earned a draw over the streaking Mangolana City 1-1. Soccoroo's collapse has also continued as they suffered an away defeat to Goldshom FC. Mascona FC defeated Carleck 2-1 as they attempt to try and salvage the season. Federation suffered a 0-0 draw with Redpool as they attempt to earn their first ever top 4 finish and international berth. Arsenrall continues to win as they defeated Justidell 1-0 in there final match before the final quarter of the season is to be played.

NEW SIDEBURN PREMIERSHIP

One game left and still everything to play for. At the top of the table, Sabrefell Moths and AFC Treason have both proven consistent enough for a stab at the main prize... the league trophy. Technically speaking, Athletic have the points, but with a goal difference fifteen less than their local rivals... Treason need to beat the plucky but inexperienced Newrook Democracy at home, whereas the Moths have a much tougher fixture hosting the foreigners, AFC Integabad.
At the bottom of the table, Mainstream Fist, who have been bottom of the table since the very beginning of the season, are beyond salvation. With them are Leicard Crimewave, whose calamitous run of one point out of a possible thirty-three, and Goodfeather FC, who possessed a defence with the structural integrity of a damp communion wafer. AFC Rochford, however, are two points behind both Valkyrja Hawks and Chenoworth Harriers, with superior goal difference. Furthermore, the Hawks are just one goal difference behind the Harriers, with more goals scored at that. Any of the three clubs could go down. Can it be another last-day escape story for the Harriers?

With an early kickoff came Rhagant Schadenfreude vs. Southfell United. United have enjoyed an extremely prosperous season, dominating the opposition to go all the way to 6th. They could fall to 8th if they lose here, but even so, it's been a hell of a ride, and they're a joy to watch. Rhagant, meanwhile, are admirable in a different way. They've battled long and hard, and despite a disappointing first half of the season that left them in 21st and in dire straits, they kept faith with manager Ruth Tungsten. It's paid off. Rhagant rocketed up to 18th and built up a massive gulf between themselves and the next lowest; right now, they're sixteen points above the 19th-placed Harriers. In the form they're in, they're a threat to any team in the world right now.

In fact, despite typical Southfell dominance in possession, the Schadenfreude have evidently done their homework; the south Fenstra side have proved vulnerable on the break in the past, and a hefty hoof from Daniel Bryton lofted it to Darren Cray. The Southfell defence hesitated, allowing Cray to slide a forward pass through to Marcia Cyclops, but she lost a 50|50 challenge to centreback Lance Buck and the chance was lost.

And Southfell were quick to seize the moment. Amanda Corby was felled a distant but dangerous length from goal. Corby took a quick free-kick before the Schadenfreude could marshall themselves, the pass rolled to Leyland Stallion, who powered it over a charging Emmeric Brownlow. He was showing why he deserved a place in the New Sideburn national side.

Dale Brightley also had a point to prove, and with three minutes left he started a spectacular individual goal. Lachlan Spyder saved a lacklustre shot from Kyle Towers, and kicked the ball out to the centre. Little did he know he'd earn his first-ever assist. Brightley latched onto the pass, beating Cray in the 50/50 and keeping possession, avoided Merrick Tome as he slid in, muscled past Christine July and lobbed over an onrushing Brownlow. A spectacular goal, and the sides went in 2-0 at the break.

Rhagant emerged having been the subject of a crippling disadvantage in possession; 71:29. But they improved markedly in the second half, and once again caught Southfell on the break, a long throw from Brownlow culminating in a forward pass to Cyclops past the defence. She clashed with Bryton and won, sliding the ball past Spyder and into the net. But ultimately, Southfell would emerge as victors. A corner was headed clear by David Mapp, but the ball only went as far as Brightley, who saw a gap in the defence and hooked by it and past a stationary Brownlow. 1-3, the final score.

AFC Treason should've looked and felt more confident. They were on top of the world, four players in the national squad, and although they were second all they had to do was beat the Democracy, and surely they could manage that. AFC Integabad were far less of a certainty.

But the Democracy entered the field with rather more swagger than they perhaps needed. They had literally nothing left to play for; ten points away from Vermillion in ninth, five away from Brinemouth in eleventh. After coming straight up from the First Division to tenth, this was surely enough to consider the season a resounding success. All that could surely be left was pride. Oh, but they intended to win, alright, and Chase Wingett in particular, after being almost entirely shoved out of the national side by Grant Beardsley, had a point to prove. Cathy Stokes may be the best conventional left-back in the league but tonight Wingett was on fire, dashing past and harassing with long shots and crosses. Democracy always looked a threat, whereas Treason stuttered to a start. Even as Headlock kicked off to Lockdown, Newrook surged forward and seized possession, which they were loathe to drop.

The first chance came in the third minute, when Dancetopian winger Janice Songbyrd made a neat one-two with Oates to get past Treason captain Dacia Mountain. She then dashed centrally and smashed a shot in on goal; a comfortable enough save for James Turnscrew, but a decidedly uncomfortable start. More scares came; in the eleventh minute, Moz Puffin latched onto a Wingett forward pass, but made a hash of the shot one-on-one with Turnscrew and the shot went wide. And again in the fifteenth; an uncharacteristically poor corner from Oakwood lead to a deadly counterattack that almost proved fatal; this time it was playmaker Rylisa Bandage through on goal, defied by Turnscrew who pushed her shot wide onto the goalpost and away.

But Treason got their goal, thoroughly against the run of play. In a rare moment of comfortable possession, Ash Byrne beat Dirk Straight to pass it along to Lockdown, who broke through a weak link in the defence. A stray leg hacked her down, and left-back Rhianna Curve was lucky to escape with a yellow card. Lucia Oakwood's penalty made no mistake, thundering past Cabriolet (who, to his credit, guessed right, but mere anticipation was no match for the sheer power of the shot.)

Relief washed over Treason, but that unbelievably almost lead to another goal. Mountain was unusually sloppy in possession and was calmly dispossessed by Songbyrd, who found herself 1-on-2 to the goal. Derek Kendall slid in and missed, leaving her one-on-one with Turnscrew, but even though her finishing was adequate, Turnscrew made a spectacular diving save to deny her.

In fact, Cabriolet later proved it was an excellent day for goalkeepers generally. Oakwood and Byrne, consistently proving themselves Treason's only real threats, both launched thunderous shots from distance that the Newrook stopper managed to not just save, but catch cleanly.

The game dulled down from there, Treason tenuously clinging onto their lead, but the final scare happened in added time. At the 90+2' mark, Wingett slipped by Stokes again and lifted a pass over the heads of the Treason defence to substitute Paul Class, who headed it past Turnscrew and into the top-right corner; thankfully for Treason, he was deemed offside, and Treason have done their part. All that's left is to watch and wait.

South Laithland, sitting comfortably in lower midtable after a push up the table inspired by their Integristani manager, Andreas Krieg, were feeling pretty smug about themselves. They'd made it comfortably to safety and weren't far off their northern rivals. Valkyrja, meanwhile, were safe if they could get a result, or even lose by less than the Harriers did. Manager Barrett Isolation had picked an unchanged lineup to guide his team to safety. Despite the 4-4-2, the start made it more than clear he had his sights set on a 0-0 draw. Real backs-to-the-wall defending against the onslaught of Krieg's 3-5-2. Sadly, cracks were beginning to show as soon as the 12nd minute. Unchallenged and in space, Bryce Soprano crossed in. Carlo Lines attempted to head out, but scuffed it, and Otto Symbol took possession. Sliding it across to Bill Montague, the striker and top scorer for Laithland smashed the ball cleanly past Trent Lathe.

The Hawks put up more of a fight, actually approachng a goal by the 41st minute, but Ryan Shipwright's shot was smothered by former Crisisbless United stopper Damian Shrewe. By the 65th minute, Isolation got impatient. Centre-back Jane Thermos was benched for Maxwell Truant, an attacking midfielder. This, however, failed to make a positive impact, and three minutes later it had cost them dearly. An inswinging corner was caught easily by Damian Shrewe, who launched a quick counter-attack culminating in Montague going one-on-one with Lathe. The Hawks stopper had been on patchy form all season, and his reflexes were never his greatest asset, and Montague easily sidefooted the ball away from his charge and calmly passed it into the net. Anders Standard slid into the net, a good two seconds late. Even after switching to a 3-4-3 seven minutes later they couldn't pull back a goal, and nearly went down by a third late on but for a fine save from Lathe. The whistle blew, and nervously the crowd checked their phones for news of the other two games for the live coverage, as their kickoffs had been 45 minutes behind...

This has all the feelings behind it of the 3-3 draw between New Sideburn and Integristan only a couple of months ago, and now it's between what are generally considered their flagship sides. And there's just as much at stake now as there was then. As Stubbs wins the toss to kick off and jogs back to goal, he receives a standing ovation from the green block of the crowd; if Sabrefell win here tonight, it will be his fifth Premiership trophy, and that's a record. It's one the thirty-eight year old stopper well deserves, at that. 88,650 flocked to the Grand Ampitheatre, filling it to capacity.

Jack Northerland was the referee, and Sabrefell Moths won the kickoff. They were dominant in the initial stages generally, culminating in a superb performance from Cliving, brushing past three seperate people, turning just before she played the ball out, dribbling past Petra Schildkroete again, then crossing it to an unmarked Crane, whose shot thundered past a diving Rudi Stahl. Calls for offside were ignored, the goal stood, and the Moths were that much closer to victory.

Yet tragedy struck in the 30th minute, when a rather ordinary goalkick lead to a midfield 50|50 that Sabine Frettchen won. Sabrefell had left themselves rather open, and they were caught vulnerable on the break, Frettchen sliding a forward pass upfield and to Reinhard Bavaria, who slid it between the legs of Asger Stubbs to level the game. Worse was to come; in the 42nd minute, James Yorke was... a little overzealous in stopping Theodore Fuchs' forward run. Bavaria stepped forward to take the free kick, and fatefully it floated over the wall and into the top-left corner of the net. The Moths entered the break, losing.

Things were beginning to look bleak, but more superb work from Anna Cliving was to come. Cheney Rosewood crossed in from the left wing and Crane's attempt at a second rattled off the crossbar, but Cliving trapped the rebound, dummied past Bruce Morant (a Sideburnese whose performance all game was dismal at best before being substituted) and rifled it into the net. The scores were levelled.

And Cliving again proved her worth in the seventy-seventh, this time with a corner. It rose at the perfect height for the massive, half-Integristani Gerhard Thunder to rise up above the pink shirts and power the ball in with his head. With that, the game, and the season, was won.

FINAL RESULT

And here at last we can see the final results. At the bottom, the Hawks, Goodfeather, the Crimewave and the Fist all go down, while Rochford and the Harriers have managed to save themselves. As for the other newly promoted sides, Rhagant lie in 18th thanks largely to a superb late run of form, Violence sit in comfortable 15th, and most stunningly of all the Newrook Democracy have made it to 10th on the back of a superb midfield.

Promoted this season: AFC Raven River, who show significant promise to be the next Newrook, placed first by a distance. Brookford Otters came straight back up, and five points beneath them, tied save for goal difference, are Cranequin Wanderers, a well-balanced side who look able to resist the drop, and Iron City, a team with a strong backbone.

And of course at the top are Sabrefell Moths, whose stunning season has fittingly culminated in another title being seized. But can they repeat the feat, and help captain Asger Stubbs break his own record of five trophies for a single player? Stay tuned for next season, and find out!

Part IV Review

Commonbel following their League and Mangolana Cup titles got off to a good start in League play with a 1-0 away win at Relegation Zone Wanacana. Soccoroo got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win at Dalenderain. Mascona FC got back to scoring points with a 0-0 away draw at Redpool. Mangolana City drew 2-2 with Skyline FC after they trailed 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Federation gave Arsenrall their second loss of the season, defeating them 2-0 at Mangolanites Stadium. Nirvana defeated Carleck 2-1 and bottom feeder Sarcaloss lost 1-0 to Skyline City.

Federation kept up their winning ways as they defeated Justidell 3-1 at Green Burrow Stadium. Mangolana City continued their second half climb as they defeated Skyline United 2-0 at home. Mascona FC shocked Arsenrall 1-1 as Mascona FC attempts to salvage their season for a top half of table finish. Commonbel's point streak continued with their 1-1 draw at Skyline FC. Skyline City defeated Carleck 1-0 while Sarcaloss lost to Soccoroo 1-0. Fellow relegation zone team Wanacana drew Mascona Fidel 0-0 as things shape up to be a 4 team releagation zone battle. Bluepool defeated Goldshom FC 4-0 while Dalenderain came from behind again to draw 3-3 with Herogeos.

Arsenrall got back to their winning ways with a 2-0 win against Nirvana as they extend their lead over Skyline United, Soccoroo and Mangolana City. It would take a complete collapse from Arsenrall for them to lose the championship now. Mascona DC earned their first win against a possible top four team in a long time when they defeated Federation 3-2 at Green Burrow Stadium. Skyline United drew Commonbel 1-1 while Mangolana City lost 2-0 to Justidell at PNC Arena. Carleck shocked Soccoroo when they demolished them 4-0 at home for their biggest win of the season. Sarcaloss earned their third win of the season when they defeated Herogeos 1-0.

Mascona FC continued their point streak with a 0-0 draw at home with Justidell while on the other side of the Capital, Mascona Fidel lost 2-0 to Skyline United as they begin to slip more and more into the relegation area. Arsenrall defeated Skyline City 1-0. City's season has not been the norm as they try and adjust to a relatively new line-up. Commonbel defeated Mangolana City as 3-0 as they now begin to make a little bit of noise in the standings. Skyline FC crushed Goldshom FC 5-1 at Golden Nugget Field. Federation got back to winning ways as they shut-out Nirvana 3-0 at Lone Island Stadium. Carleck earned another win as they now attempt to get out of Relegation with a 3-0 win at Herogeos.

Federation lost in another high scoring affair when they were defeated 4-3 at home by Skyline City. Federation leads the premier league in total goals scored and conceded at this point. Skyline FC defeated Dalenderain 2-1 as they continud their quest for a top 4 finish. Arsenrall officially won the premier league today as they defeated Soccoroo 1-0. Mangolana City defeated Mascona Fidel 3-1 as the 4 team relegation battle begins to heat up. Skyline United won over Goldshom FC 2-1 as all the Skyline teams won this week. Mascona FC drew Nirvana 0-0.

The final Derby of the season took place this week. Bluepool remained perfect in the Derby de Poolings as they defeated Redpool 2-0 at Jimenez Top Stadium. Bluepool has never lost the Derby de Poolings in seasons that it was played. Commonbel earned another win here as they defeated Mascona Fidel 2-0 at Border Stadium while Skyline City ended Mascona FC's point streak with a 3-1 win. Soccoroo earned a bit of revenge from earlier this year as they defeated Federation 2-1. Arsenrall continued their record pace as they defeated Herogeos 2-0. Carleck defeated Wanacana 2-0 as they try to escape relegation.

Commonbel defeated Goldshom FC 3-0 as their great last quarter of the season continues. Arsenrall suffered a shocking home loss to Bluepool 3-1 in a game where Bluepool scored 3 times on 3 shots. Sarcaloss, Carleck, and Mascona Fidel all lost while fellow relegation battle team Wanacana drew 1-1 at Redpool. Federation got back to winning as they defeated Herogeos 2-1. Mascona FC shocked Soccoroo by defeating them 3-0 at Stadium of the River. Nirvana upset Skyline City with a 1-0 home win.

Mascona Fidel, Wanacana, Sarcaloss, and Carleck all lost this week as they continue to fight against relegation. Sarcaloss is already assured to be relegated. Federation defeated Bluepool 2-1 as they attempt to get their first ever top 4 finish. Soccoroo defeated Nirvana 1-0 while Commonbel lost 1-0 against Dalenderain. Mascona FC drew Herogeos 1-1. Skyline City defeated Justidell 2-1.

Goldshom FC has fallen into a relegation battle as they drew Justidell 1-1 while Mascona Fidel drew Dalenderain 1-1. Federation meanwhile defeated Wanacana 2-0. The current standings have Mascona Fidel, Wanacana and Sarcaloss being relegated. Sarcaloss is the only team locked in Relegation while Mascona Fidel, Goldshom FC, and Wanacana have a chance at the 17th position.

Arsenrall's chance at a historic season ended when they lost to rival Skyline United 1-0. Skyline United's win allowed them to hold on the record for most points in a season. The relegation battle was great this year. In the end Sarcaloss, Wanacana and Goldshom FC were relegated to the Mangolana Super League while Mascona Fidel thanks to their final Matchday win over Sarcaloss tied them in points with Goldshom FC and kept them in the Premier League based on Goal Differential. In the end, Skyline United, Federation and Skyline FC finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th to qualify for the Globe Cup and for the Mangolana Super Cup.

Summery:

After a tense and close session, Blue Bay AFC take home the island cup once again making, it was was close with Taevon central just beaten in the end by 2 points made this session more the memorable, last years winners Garwood came third, failing to secure the title that they won last year. Blue bays Fergal Firestone knocked up his record number of goals (55) to help seal the coveted trophy, but last sessions champions Garwood's Thomas Klein also was high up on the boot awards picking up silver.

at the bottom, Garmouth Daeca was the first team to be regulated, only securing 29 points and only 7 wins in the session which resulted in their worst session ever. newly promoted Lan Hai also found themselves going back down to the lower league, but third from bottom, the once mighty Themi Loga found themselves regulated Themi Loga was the first time to lift the Islands cup, now they find themselves playing in division 1!

Summery:

Freywynne lifts the Division one championship and will be playing Premier league football next year, a remarkable achievement from a team that nearly saw themselves a session ago in the ameture leagues when the division was first created due to their lack of findings, a team that then almost went bankrupt! when it was mathematically impossible for them not to be promoted, the celebration and pitch invasion was a sight to behold, a see of purple flags will be a common sight. the other team to join them was the Poredak Polcats who only stay a session in division one and will once again be playing in the top league. the last place went to the Engineers, who only just made it into the top league, beating the odds on favioutes to win the league! Tavistock AFC almost made it the higher league on the last day of session but their league rivals Tavistock city scored in the last minute of the game to draw the game, meaning that the Engineers where promoted on gold difference.

Welcome to the milestone tenth season of the Integ Brandel! Once again, although this is by no means how we always do things, just...lulling you into a pattern, we'll be going down the list of days the leaderboard changes. With 100% simulated results, 100% random goalscoring times on the final day (and that Matchday Sixteen encounter. we swear), the producers accept no responsibility for enduring melodrama. Your loss.

As a bonus, we'll fill you in on the fortunes of, well, at least the foreign players. Most clubs were involved in the leaderboard turnover at some point or another, so that'll provide an excuse. Mind you, some of the most-improved sides are old-school Earental ones that might not get as much press coverage--though one historic side met a very rude fate.

Firstly, shoehorned in, comes one club we wouldn't get to otherwise and that does feature a foreigner to...um, brag about, I guess. Ungalb Tratbongent were in fact their defensive selves, and posted the second-best defense in the league. Brooklyn Cuban was, as a consequence, encouraged to take a more offensive role in the midfield rather than trying to stem (as it were) the flow out back. This might not have been the best decision on the part of manager Vinder Beam, and the midfield didn't click in really any sense of the word. The dockworkers came eighth--given their defensive standing they probably could have pushed for a Globe Cup spot but didn't, which is enough to give the fans something to gripe about.

Okay, let's do this thing.

Matchday One: Ungalb Devsgrybe and Ungalb Parkatsee

Two Ungalbs got off to a pair of 2-0 wins on the road, which put them joint top. We shall begin at the end...of the final tables, which would be Paysban TU. Goal difference would not save them this time; only twice all season would they find themselves anywhere other than eighteenth place, and it took them a third of the season to find their first win--against Ousteeble TU, of all teams (more on whom later). Brighton Lovelock was unusually patient, not making mistakes even when the team could have been ready to throw in the towel, and played more of a leadership role as the season went on. Though, by the end, everyone was realizing that their expectations should never have been that high to begin with.

They hosted Ungalb Parkatsee, who were aggressive early on, jumping out to an early goal from Lorint Murinth and then seeing Pesser Nyl add another goal ten minutes later. They probably could have pushed for more, but seemed content with that, making Paysban's goal difference relatively flattering. Classic Paysban.

Ungalb Devsgrybe were supposed to have a tougher test against Brantslaybel TU, but all was not well in the latter camp. The fans there are more concerned about their club's place in history, after all, than its place in the "list of the clubs with the classiest fans." Except, with Roys Nulbyd in goal now, the team cannot afford to be violent and trust that the penalties will get saved. Tuigah Singh battled boos from cantankerous "why do we have to be so diverse now, things were better when we were doing our own thing" fans, when they actually managed to cough up the ticket prices, and it was a disappointing season on just about every front. More on them later too, kind of. More on everyone later. It's matchday one.

Anyway, goals from Stevin Hasper and Mulis Vonder gave Devsgrybe the win.

Matchday Two: Brandith GU

Two clubs falling out of the lead, albeit on goal difference, one rising into it...and yet just two matches of supreme leaderboard relevance. Hmm.

Parkatsee did their "jump out to an early lead" trick again, with Margel Hath recording their only goal in minute 27. Then it was more a matter of them being stifled by Atteregav Numa's defense rather than giving up, as they only won 1-0 and might have regretted not pressing for more against an easier Paysban.

Ungalb Devsgrybe, however, were busy losing to Brandith GU. This game, viewed on its own--which is slightly unfair given how Brandith continued the early season, but after all the arrow of time or something--seemed extremely questionable in just about every possible respect.

The thing is, it was close in the first half. Sure, the hosts got off to a lead through Pobel Brang, and you'd really have to be into more beer than is appropriate for the first half hour to say that was offsides. And Devsgrybe didn't seem to care, with Hasper equalizing almost right away. So, there was that.

And then, the second half, Georges Toussaint was marking Hasper very closely, it happens. Won the ball away, passed up to Seapol Drune, who made her way past Turnit Duve--sure, he wasn't very aggressive, but it's Devsgrybe, maybe they're weirded out by women. She scored, 2-1, fine.

That Kor Meanlee did not pick up a foul for a crunching tackle on Vonder is probably one of those moments that make you shake your head and go "oh, Brandith, shape up," and then they don't, and Broygen Hempner really left Duve shaken on another close play, before scoring to make it 3-1. By then the Devsgrybe fans were having none of it and trying to wonder how sporting it would be to really lay into the referee, before Brang scored again in what was perhaps a stingy allotment of injury time. Not like Devsgrybe had played like they were going to do anything, in fairness. But still. Brandith. You don't want to mention them in the same sentence as "fairness."

Matchday Three: Ungalb Parkatsee

Another 2-0 road win for Parkatsee; why not? Yes, once again they got out to an early lead, and once again were stuck there by some half-decent goalkeeping. We emphasize the "half" this time around, for, while Murinth's early goal was quality, the absurd second-half shot from midfielder Torpal Ranis required first some woeful positioning by defenders Nearin Long and Nal Rumee. Assertham should be better than this--actually, not, they're quite likely cursed. They're the only team on zero points, Parkatsee now sit alone on nine.

This was due to Brandith, despite their rampant attack, losing control at the end to Attereg GU in what will be a popular result. Both for everyone who dislikes Brandith (which is, let us be fair, most of us), and possibly foreign investors wondering whether they should try and shore up the lonely southerners (they probably shouldn't, they actually dropped off slightly this season). But, no matter, to the game at hand. Brang got Brandith off to an early lead, but Tash Mylee tied things up for Attereg on a leaping header. Goals for Hempner and Nuve Klem made it 3-1 by the second half.

Whereupon Brandith looked nervous. Not in the sense of "let's not run up the score because people will think we're jerks, which is probably what we are," but just "Attereg could get back into this thing." And that they did. Young newcomer Tyler Vaun impressed with a goal off a pass from Meltee Rumes, but Attereg weren't just content with knocking out the goal difference. In the eightieth minute, Mylee scored again to secure the draw. Brandith are now second.

Matchday Four: Brandith GU

Brandith were home when they won 2-0, facing a young Ousteeble side. Their championship defenders from the national team have retired by now, so they boast another nidjfoge in the back; defenders Lara Leatis and Vuutol Kayrint are talented, but looked unsteady this early in the campaign, and they were justly outplayed by Drygel Hysinee for the first goal. The second goal, from Tanch Ronts, was somewhat more dubious--Fuln Rolit claims it didn't cross the line--but, whatever, Brandith.

Parkatsee were also home, but they lost to Retatyn TU. Dyma Konga (that is, Retatyn) got off to a roaring start, with Tubis Lome's jumping header a few minutes in. The midfield was dynamic, with quick passes between Caroline Cowboy and Kayleat Moris (who must be relieved to demonstrate she has someone else to connect with) leading to a goal for Cowboy to make it 2-0. Dethis Kean tacked on another goal, off a pass from Shayv Allagondee, in injury time of the first half. Nyl pulled one back for Parkatsee in the second half, after a momentary defensive lapse on the part of Prygel Ronts, but other than that it was smooth sailing for the hosts. They're seventh now. So are Ousteeble, for that matter.

Matchday Nine: Ungalb Parkatsee

Their new "striking fast" trick didn't really work against Leatis and Kayrint of Ousteeble, but Ungalb Parkatsee eventually took advantage. Murinth picked his way past defender Peda Kayl in minute fifty-eight for the only goal at Nolee Torbinhaf Bukiness. The capacity of Nolee Torbinhaf Bukiness actually compares notably with the population of the municipality of Ousteeble. It's that kind of a team.

Brandith GU had been the first team to hold a lead, but they steadily dropped off after that to a mid-table position that didn't much improve on last season after all. Georges Toussaint would not actually lead the side in cards; that, uh, honor went to Kor Meanlee (although they actually tied for most direct sendings-off, so, you know, there is that!) But really, refs mostly seemed to crack down on Meanlee to prove that they could, and that they weren't under the thumb of shady boardroom crony Glone Naniss. Brandith finished one position higher than last season, so in this regard they cannot truly be said to have underperformed, and Toussaint was tolerable in the run-in. Compared to his teammates, anyway.

To be fair, they deserved to lose the lead after going down to Assertham. Assertham the cursed! Brang gave them the lead, whereupon Leala Margel's header equalized--granted, she seemed to injure herself on the goal, and Assertham were shaken for a while. Brandith dominated possession for the next twenty minutes, but Neayay Weabel put on an inspired performance in goal, and Assertham scored again through Ruthin Huyz against the run of play. Hex or not, they're still fourteenth.

Wait a minute, no, they're tied for fourteenth. With Devsgrybe. Maybe there is hope. Or despair.

Matchday Sixteen: Munnerput TU

What...on earth.

Okay. Let's start with another team that bears study, that of Rogglebo TU. With the season almost halfway complete, things seemed to be going well for their tinkering; they finished the matchday in sixth place. But despite Jef McOll's best efforts, they didn't clamber into the Globe Cup spots at any ensuing point. As for Michael Davenport, well, it wasn't like many of his crosses found the net, but this is not a side incredibly used to finding the net anyway, so the fans didn't hold that against him. If anything, they seem to like his speed, even if it can't be quantified really. Maybe they just pride themselves on their connoisseur natures, able to appreciate the intangibles? Well, let's go with that.

Anyway, they defeated Parkatsee comfortably. Mastel Heas scored a quick pair of goals for them, though Nyl got on the board for Parkatsee in the second half. Rogglebo would score again, however, once Dandra Artin's free kick was headed in by Lurs Chaneayon.

Okay, about Munnerput.

Uh...well.

So, okay, they got off to the kind of quick start Parkatsee would envy. It was the Yesopalithan arrival, Brianna Carheim, who showed off that it can be hip to be a square, as they say. A goal in the second minute (not like that though) gave them an early lead in Brandith.

And...then it was actually surprisingly quiet for the next half hour. She got called offside once, which was dubious, though we weren't expecting much more from Brandith. And the way the positions lined up meant that she clashed with Toussaint a couple times, which would probably make the highlight reel of us being cosmopolitan, if it weren't for the fact that the highlight reel was about to become overfull.

With six minutes purportedly remaining in the half, Brandith actually tied the game, with Brang scoring off an assist from Tarn Meanlee. Four minutes on, however, Teav Sumebel's header gave Munnerput the lead again. The kickoff was won by Hensin Klayb, who passed forward to Carheim...giving Munnerput insurance barely a minute later. Of course they took the momentum with them and passed the ball around madly during stoppage time, but nothing really came of that. 3-1 at the half.

Seven minutes after the restart, Carheim completed the hat-trick, converting a pass from Sumebel near the post. That had drained her stamina, however, and she was surprisingly ineffective the rest of the game. Just three minutes later, the hosts would pull one back, and this honestly was a Brandith judgment call--that center-back Luugel Hender was still in the game and able to assist Mardj Kloy, rather than having been suspended for previous nonexistent cards in the prior games, was questionable. But, nevertheless, Kloy scored, and 4-2 it was.

We got a little bit of a breather at that point, all of us except for Theang Nosh, a Munnerput defender who really got fouled hard by Klem of Brandith. At that point the ref had no choice but to eject the latter, and Brandith were no doubt a bit more cautious after that. In minute 67, Stavin Heas would score for Munnerput, extending their lead.

The game seemed over at that point, if not before, but Munnerput, recognizing that their defense was winded beyond just Hender, continued to push forward. At that point the balance of "being able to show off" and "always loving to attack" led to some very impressive dribbling that managed to stand out even in that game; winger Beadin Hynz, as well as Klayb, had some great patterns. Klayb would manage to score in minute 79.

And then...the defense really struggled. The annoyed hosts were stomping all over the place, Munnerput were all in "we can win the title!" mode (well, more so than usual, they are Munnerput) and were as cautious as they can be (not much at all, just not wanting to risk their players' health), and it culminated in a goal from Drune, with seven minutes remaining.

On paper. It's never all on paper.

Injury time came, with neither side expecting much more but the attack roaring nonetheless. Toussaint passed to Hempner, who charged forward, goalkeeper Turvee Langer was way out of position, and Hempner scored for Brandith. The fans roared their approval, and the very tired ref just waved things along. So, in further extra time, Brang raced forward and thumped in a header.

Well, at that point, the ref had no choice but to keep the the game going, just in case Brandith could somehow muster up an equalizer. With Hynz' first possession for Munnerput, however, the game was brought to a halt. Final score, 6-5, as Munnerput go top.

Okay, on this form, they deserve it.

Halfway checkpoint

Leading the league: Munnerput, still, after thwapping Rogglebo. Parkatsee are second; Retatyn, Ousteeble, and Stirvik round up the Globe Cup places. Facing relegation are, bottom-up, Paysban, Assertham--and Attereg, who must be regretting their splashing into funds for intraregional talent. ViZion, eh?

The best offense belongs to Munnerput by far. The worst defense is also theirs. Well, that's one way to win a title. Last-place Paysban have the worst offensive showing thus far, with Tratbongent's defense the stoutest. (They're eleventh.)

And midway through the season is as good a place as any to report on the fortunes of another club that might have slipped through the cracks otherwise. Perntav Marna TU found themselves in seventh, where they would eventually finish. A little underwhelming for a side that made the Globe Cup. But Perntav Marna are also the conservatives' capital club--without their liberal neighbors around to beat in a derby, it's been a bit hard for them to justify their ticket prices.

Well, until now. They splurged on a pair of players from Copa Rushmori finalists Sargossa, and will now have to teach everybody how to use accents to report on the progress of José Toranzo and Sebastián Canteros. The latter, a winger, had a fluky start--sometimes he'd pull off impressive passing tricks from the sidelines, but other days he'd remember his finishing skills from strikerdom. Unfortunately, it was hard to predict when he'd be best suited to what role, and he may still have potential to grow into here. Toranzo, for his part, was a much more reliable performer in the back, as the king's house could put up some stately performances with one of the league's better defenses.

Matchday Eighteen: Ungalb Parkatsee

Parkatsee did their new trick, leaping out to an early goal, this time against a flat-looking Paysban. That they were in fact unable to get anything going after Sinda Lulis' tap-in should perhaps have been a warning sign, but it was enough to get them three points.

Such was not the fate of Munnerput, who lost to Attereg GU. And that wasn't even enough to haul the latter to safety! Rumors of a foreign takeover left the club lacking confidence, with wildly unpredictable manager Dagin Hender having his club in the drop zone even after beating Munnerput. A win the next week against Rogglebo, however, saw them escape danger, and they'd be safe the rest of the way. Newcomer Tyler Faun was able to score plenty, and set up the last big thing (Tash Mylee), so they seem to have good attacking camaraderie if nothing else. Could be worse.

Anyway, Munnerput had taken the lead through Carheim, before she once again ran out of gas (not that abruptly, it just...happened) and Attereg took over. Faun and Mylee would set each other up for goals on either side of the half, with defensive midfielder Vuutol Surfay scoring on a set piece after a foul from Hynz. Munnerput would pull one back through Heas, however, and dominated possession for the remaining twenty minutes--they just couldn't even find an equalizer. I'd say "spread things out" after routing Rogglebo, but you know, they really could use every goal against Brandith...

Matchday Nineteen: Retatyn TU

Parkatsee would, once again, jump out to a lead, this time around through Murinth. They would not, however, keep it intact, as Atteregav Numa rallied late to first tie and then win the encounter. Nuse Beal was lucky to poke in an equalizing goal, after coming off the worse on several aerial disputes for possession, but Didjiv Montay looked fresh in finding the late winner.

Munnerput must now be reconsidering the "spread it out advice," as either one of their futile goals from the previous week should have been more than sufficient to defeat Paysban. Paysban, really? Lovelock was commanding in possession for the hosts, I guess, definitely coming out the better on his attempts to win headers, but still, Munnerput were reeling.

This left Dyma Konga with a chance to top the table, but to do it, they'd need to defeat the champions of two seasons running. Stirvik had not played much of a role in the race, but they came into the matchday in fourth place, just behind Retatyn. And--well, you know how things went, but it was an entertaining high-octane clash. Closer throughout than, say, Brandith--Munnerput, if not quite as high-scoring.

Though, actually, it would also be 3-1 at the half. Retatyn controlled the ball on defense for a while before making much of an attack. When they did push forward, however, it quickly led to a goal from Kean, and then Allagondee added a second shortly after that.. More confident, Retatyn passed the ball throughout the midfield, and that's normally a strategy that works well for them. It seemed to backfire at the point when Rumee Lyk scored for Stirvik, but a second goal for Kean widened Dyma Konga's lead again.

That would prove necessary in the second half, when Stirvik came out stronger, trusting in long passes from the defense to get the ball forward. Dander Fels was excellent on long passes, with Sheara Duustel eventually converting one of them. Retatyn responded by trying to slowly dribble when they were in possession, not giving Stirvik anything to work with. So when Cowboy came into possession, she evaded Pyp Lunas on the outside, and eventually scored a tricky goal.

Stirvik kept up the pressure, and were rewarded with a consolation Rayna Puve header, launching a fresh series of attacks in the final minutes. Dyma Konga were pushed back, and looked stressed, but a tired Joundra Ruthe made a diving save to deny Duustel's best effort of the remaining minutes. 4-3 to Retatyn, as they take their first lead of the season.

What followed was, across the league, a tale of two midfields. Retatyn TU led outright through the penultimate day, seeing off challenges from Parkatsee and Munnerput alike. Caroline Cowboy, one of the youngest imports for this season, put the "green" back in "green dots" by provided energetic crosses and never shying away from challenges. Together with Shayv Allagondee in attacking midfield, Dyma Konga could become when necessary as confrontational as their fans were unabashed. Across the midfield, Kayleat Moris continued to shine as a defensive talent. While she was somewhat less likely to draw the referee's attention on-field, she could be more than assertive in interviews, ready to lambast anyone who suggested that she and Allagondee had (or should) nidjed. There's more than one way to win a title, after all--if Stirvik could do it, why not Retatyn?

They were somewhat eerily mirrored by a side rising from the threats of relegation. Stroyfungul GU are never lacking in excitement, to be sure, and their midfield actually does have the infamous three-way nidj (technically international, for the record, although in the absence of a national team no one's too bothered by the citizenship paperwork anymore) was on form for a change. Talia Klyn in particular, while not the offensive spurt of the group, seemed to be at once more confident and more motivated to be her best. (Once again, it's a long story, perhaps new intraregional excitement will give an occasion for narrating it...perhaps not.) They'd been in the drop zone on matchday fourteen; a tremendous second half saw them rise back into the top half. Well played.

Matchday Thirty-Three gave Retatyn a golden chance to put the title away, with second-place Munnerput being held to a draw with Brandith. And, unfortunately, I'd have to say Brandith deserved at least a point from the encounter. Dyma Konga couldn't do it, however; a goal from Selber Rumee at the old Nolee Torbinhaf Bukiness meant that Ousteeble stayed in contention.

So, that meant that Retatyn lead by one point going into the final day, with Munnerput four goals clear of Ousteeble in second. Stirvik and Devsgrybe look on pace to make the Globe Cup, though Parkatsee could leapfrog the latter. Retatyn also have the easiest task on paper--Munnerput and Ousteeble are visiting Rogglebo and Nithgard respectively, but Retatyn get Deahpild TU.

The only problem is, the latter are desperate to stay up. They're a goal ahead of Brantslaybel for fifteenth and sixteenth. Assertham are already doomed, and so are last-place Paysban, whose goal differential is...more than ten points worse than anybody else's. Oopsies.

Got that? Doesn't matter, we'll be keeping you posted either way!

Matchday Thirty-Four

1st minute: Hey everyone, like I said I'll be keeping you posted on--oh, we have a goal already? Seriously? That's the same question Roys Nulbyd and the nervous Brantslaybel defense are asking themselves after Klem scores for Brandith right off the kickoff. Brantslaybel are protesting and claiming that Klem actually was trodding on the toes of Mithin Klyb during the kickoff. Referee Teansdayl Ower isn't buying this.
6th minute: Brantslaybel, this seriously isn't how you stay up. They're complaining and looking desperate at the back, with Brang converting a Tarn Meanlee pass for another goal. Hate to say it, but Brandith may well have deserved that sooner, Brantslaybel were just horrendous these last five minutes. Well, six, actually, let's be fair.
10th minute: Goal in the title race! Carheim leaves off at the last second to assist Sumebel, and it's 1-0 to Munnerput who take the lead! As crazy as their fans can get, you have to say, this season--
11th minute: Hold that thought, goal for...Ungalb Tratbongent, which probably means Randel Harsith, yep I'm right, against Ungalb Devsgrybe. But as I was saying.
12th minute: Munnerput TU. Love them or mock them, you can't deny they've been extremely entertaining, in the sense of "no one comes close to challenging them for goals scored, or conceded." Only this season, they actually created some genuine highlights to go with their goalscoring feats. The winger Beadin Hynz in particular could be creative when the situation called for and even win a few tackles if need be. Not to distract from Briana Carheim, of course. She didn't necessarily have to be the most driven to win games--Munnerput fans take "we'll win the title" for granted even when no one else does, and now you have to concede they had a point. She was driven to put on a goalscoring show, and that's exactly what the fans got.
20th minute: I'm having a look in at the Duul Pindrean derby of sorts, with Assertham hosting Stroyfungul--both teams are located near the duul, or lake. It's been a keenly defensive match for these northern sides, with the visiting fans being as dignified as ever in the face of their neighbors' impending relegation, and the hosts' goalkeeping stifling the sparks of life from the midfield, which is foreign for "scoreless innit."
25th minute: Retatyn need to get into things, with Munnerput ahead. Instead, bolstered no doubt by how easy Brandith had it against Brantslaybel, Deahpild TU have drawn first blood! It's a goal from Elaine Trident, off a pass from Loyga Ufes. Retatyn must be furious now, they could have had this locked up a week ago. They'd better not start downward-spiralling or Deahpild could score again.
26th minute: Seriously, all credit to Deahpild TU, although if they stay up like this it might actually be a disappointment--they were so dominant in the second division last season that fans were expecting an easier fight. Well, I say "expecting," what I mean is "we inferred they weren't happy from the way they made a scene sometimes." None of that appears to have fazed Trident or Karlos Cypress, who, after chewing out a slowing-down Stavin Bulris early on, got down to business. They were always going to be one of the leakiest sides (that Munnerput outmatched them in that regard is somewhat of a credit to young Buyint Hast on defense), and Trident's skill from either direction just about compensated for her "only being in one direction at any given chunk of time" issues.
30th minute: The third contender in this race, Ousteeble, are still being shut out by Nithgard GU. It's been a disappointing year for a side trying to return to the top half, and by and large failing. We'd say it proved that goofy Nuyee Beal was human after all, though a couple of us still have our doubts. As for Brix Hamilton, she was "okay-ish"--the defense didn't concede all that much, but that was due to the efforts of fellow defenders Mardj Long and Breasen Rayth as much as anybody. They just sort of blend in. Metaphorically. Not that they can turn themselves invisible. Hamilton's fans say to give her time and that she has plenty to grow into, but then some of them do this freaky cackle thing and it's a bit off-putting.
37th minute: Goal for Faun and Attereg against Parkatsee, that's nice, yes, I did hear there was a goal...wait, what? Tubin Mandel scores again to make it 2-0 for Deahpild over Dyma Konga. In Retatyn. Dyma Konga just look numb now. What has happened?
45+1st minute: Okay, Dyma Konga will not take this lying down. Moris, Allagondee, Cowboy, Kean, and now they're back into it. Too bad halftime could kill their momentum. The lead is still Munnerput's.
46th minute: Settled in now? That's nice, there's a lot of football left.
51st minute: Um...okay, that I had not seen coming. Nothing too exciting, but a long shot from Boykin Pinslee's wrong foot, which is his right foot, which is also probably almost as right as his other right foot--what I mean is, Brantslaybel scored. Doesn't seem like they can necessarily come back, but it's worth a try.
63rd minute: Paysban improve themselves slightly with a goal through Meara Hayris. Not that it really...whoa, Teansdayl Ower can't turn a blind eye anymore, Hender of Brandith gets booked for a brutal foul on Pinslee. Savit Neals takes the penalty...and Brantslaybel have tied! They're still two points behind Deahpild, mind you. But if they can finish the comeback, and/or if Retatyn get back into this thing...
68th minute: Oh for crying out loud. Dyma Konga might not have to get into it if Munnerput throw the title away! And they've just conceded to Rogglebo, with Davenport setting up Heas for the tying goal. We knew Munnerput don't care to defend, but this is ridiculous.
69th minute: If my math is right, and that's by no means sure, we have an absurd three-way tie on sixty points if these scores hold. I think Retatyn's goal difference is 18, Munnerput's 14, and Ousteeble's is 10. Paysban are going down, but they could yet leave a legacy of absurd goal differential behind them...oh what in the world...
70th minute: For the first time all season, Ousteeble TU, they of the yellow shirts and the smugly nidjed defense, have decided that they might want to win this thing. Flurint Antar dribbles past Rayth, and puts them 1-0 up. With Leatis and Kayrint at the back, what more do they need?
75th minute: Okay, the Munnerput defensive situation is a bit less than comical at present. Or comical, if you're a neutral. Chaneayon wrong-foots it to give Rogglebo their second. Ridiculous--wait, now what?
76th minute: Retatyn forge on! Allagondee is playing this with a yellow hanging over him, but never mind--a cross from Lome lets him equalize. One more goal will see them overtake Ousteeble, while Deahpild now lead Brantslaybel only on goal difference. Fourteenish minutes left...
86th minute: Or, you know, Ousteeble could hold on and win it all. Which would be a little dispiriting for all Moris' talk of there being more than one way to win a title--this would be a throwback to the start of the league in its modern era of sorts.
87th minute: Which works for an anniversary, I guess.
88th minute: Uh...Hasper has equalized for Ungalb Devsgrybe against the dockworkers. Exciting. Ish.
89th minute: In what must have been even more of a thriller, Margel has scored for Atteregav Numa against Stirvik. Well, that'll pull the former into a seventh-place logjam, but seriously, this is not the time.
90+1st minute: Goal...for...Heas and Rogglebo. So much for Munnerput's title chase.
Full time: Say what you will about McOll and his experiment, if the best thing that can be said about Rogglebo is that they avoided playing perntmaker at the last, that's a start.

In the second division, Ungalb Gultpyret won the title to assure promotion and give Perntav Marna their rivals back. Only they and Tendrekion led on matchdays in the double digits, and Drek (as I am informed they are known) couldn't keep up the pace. Brayntel will make an unpopular return, the Spiders will try again, and Stivarnel are the best of a tied contingent to make the SBCC. Meanwhile, the three promoted teams go straight back down.

O-LEAGUE : SEASON XI and MPL : SEASON I

It's been a long dark road for Krytenian football, but light emerges at the end of the tunnel. Two lights, in fact.

With the Mercians suing for independence - again - the decision has been made to create two distinct leagues. The new Mercian Premier League takes thirty-two teams, including O-League giants Mercia Bromham and Ousevale Borough, leaving sixty-four teams to compete in the continuation of the O-League.

"Vanderbuurd is the King of the Defense"
Theeselvargen City wasn't in the front line for the championship of the League Two, but, who knew? Joey Vandebuurd and the Wolves of Theeselvargen managed to take the title off the hands of big teams such as Davencreek, New Bark and Afonse in order to promote to their debut at the First Division. Also, Vanderbuurd would be given the title of Sunrise League Rookie of the Year.

The Batallion of Afonse proved their expectations and got the second place of the Sunrise League Two, while being a title contender for the whole season. The crowd also helped as the Batallion managed to become a slowly built third team of Matthew City. Could the next season consolidate their position as such?

Londrich Blues
2018 should be important for Londrich, as the Blues would complete their 20th season of activity, mostly in amateur football, counting with the years that had the team being named as Central Football Club and North Londrich Lions Football Club. The team's magical curse seemed to take effect right after the first match. A loss at home against Depreche City Retros. Eventually, the team saw itself near the relegation point. And even at the last matchday, the Lions looked forward to face the Timberwolves of Resistencia as one of them would see possible relegation, as the other competidors for the last spot at the League Two, Brescia and Uniondale were already out with a loss... Only for a goal of Timberwolves' rookie, Pandora Heidern, eliminate them. Not to mention that the way to this emotional confront was filled with discussions and misunderstandings inside the Lions' Den. Well, good luck at League Three, then.

Here comes Charlton!
Earning a first time ever spot at the NSI Cup, Charlton Athletic had a great season, when you consider they weren't a favorite for the top 32. A great season at the Valley, as both team and fans gave their all and as a result, not only will be playing at the League Two for another season, but have finally obtained a spot at the NSI Cup as well.

Lopunnies, the Recordists
A well-worked squad with a basic star holding it together. This is basically what the Lopunnies played with for the whole season and... didn't it work out after all? They even manage to pull a ten-point advantage against their closest opponents, the once again second-placers Matthew City Senators and with that, obtained their third national title, thus becoming the team with most Sunrise League One titles.

Sonar being brought to the Sens didn't help the team as they ended up, once again, getting the second place. At least, the team managed to get most of the special prizes.

Relegation is a Hot Seat
Mignon Beart, Mallwill, Ayeville... if at least these guys weren't known for being close to relegation most times, it would sound nice, but they once again find themselves around relegation, even though Beart managed to even get relegated... once again. Talk about yo-yo.

They made fun of us for getting a robot to play, but...
On our preview, we highlighted that Thunchester City got a robot named Jenny from Eggman Empire, supposed living legend Olcadan and one of the most sympathic players of this season, goalkeeper Golden Glove as that seemed to not be something good to look forward for. But... nah, we were wrong. In the fifteenth place, winning more than losing. They did well, after all, even upseting teams such as SV Granger Bratislavaek, Stilwater Saints and Selyne City Athenians.

First Heritage, now Esportiva!
Lorelei eeVees saved the international part of last season as they won the Heritage Cup. Now, they qualified to the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones. What are the odds they impress people in Esportivan level?

Greater Ko-orenite Football Season 8: Preview

Last season saw the first ever installment of the nation-and-more-wide cup for all professional teams in Ko-oren and it's territories: Thaulandi, Arhoren, Irithoren, Zakhoren, Skyvinduryoren, Taloren and New Ko-oren. This cup was the first ever chance for football fans of the archipelago to see the relative strength of the teams: starting with all Ko-orenite third division teams in round one, all 165 teams played at least one match. It turned out that the Ko-orenite highest division was the strongest league sending three out of the four final remaining teams - one was surprisingly from Taloren, and they made it to the final - and Maethoru, powerhouse of the league, wasn't even one of them! Kangutsu in the end got away with the victory with a 1-2 victory over Taki from Taloren. Here's their road to success:

Aside from the cup, last season was the second season for all of the territories of Ko-oren (aside from Ko-oren and Thaulandi). Thaulandi had their fifth season, and Ko-oren had their seventh. We will focus on the Thaulandian and Ko-orenite leagues from now on, mainly because these leagues are by far the biggest leagues in the archipelago and these two leagues are the only ones affiliated to UICA.

Thaulandi's league will most likely be dominated by 4 and 5. 5 is expected to have a little advantage over 4, though the two can of course still be overtaken by other teams, as behind the top two there are about four to five teams that all play for the third place (and therefore still get to the Globe Cup). 17, 1, 2 and 3 make up this group, although 8 is shortly behind them. 13 and the newly promoted 10 and 18 will most likely play to avoid relegation next season. In TNL2, relegated 12 and 6 will compete against 16, 14, 7 and 15 for promotion next season.

In Ko-oren, things are a little different. The promotion/relegation system is likely to be modernized. P/R from the first to the second division is not too problematic, as there is one top league and one second league. But there are three third divisions, that all have just their champion advancing to the second division. Relegated from 2 to 3 are Jofa, Fori and Ningabasa, and as always these three teams are expected to promote immediately, blocking the way of all other third division teams for another season. In the third division, there is some talent, for instance with Enlifl and Sturng in the Northern division, who managed to outrun Tosk, Fashu and Rabth (that all finished on 46 points). In the Southern division, Wui promoted by a 10 point difference, and the remaining teams in this division have to improve systematically. Still this division features Diamond Dust, a team that played for a KNL1 spot not too long ago. Lastly, in the Eastern division, Supercell will once again challenge the relegated team for a promotion spot (which should be easier for them this season). Sishinova is also in this league and they'll want to try to advance a little bit as they have been used to play in the KNL1.

In the second division (KNL2), Wui and Sraltlur will feel immediately in place. Both teams dominated their third division, and they will maybe even take on mid-table teams such as Hogone, Iliju and Oluving. At the top, Vnoskjulung and Selesi relegated to the KNL2 and will face Katrun and Hurricane, teams that did qualify for the SBCC but not for the KNL1. Tkhon will also be with the 'top 5' if they manage to get at least one or two more wins than last season.

In the KNL1, Ko-oren Capitals are finally back at the highest level, as are Engbrothun (promoted right after their relegation last year). For the Capitals, this will be a reunion after a few years. Jattulnar, Viltsr, Alara and Ajongka are the teams that will need to look out for the two promoted teams firstly. Uzhotu and Arelothun (13th and 14th last season) need to try to fight back to retain their place of a few seasons ago, it must hurt to fall back this dramatically after a few good seasons. Norilya and Othushun are directly above them, and these were the two teams in fifth and sixth place of a few seasons ago. The places of these four teams have been taken by Hail and Mazaj, promoted over the course of the last seasons and fought well enough to earn their place in the top half of KNL1. Kol and Kangutsu are the other two teams that improved very, very well, finishing 7th and 8th. Liju, Tangku, Kthosl and Jeknolr will most likely fight for the three Globe Cup spots, and Branvun and Maethoru will probably be, once again, uncontested at the top.

In UICA, Ko-oren fell back a little bit. Instead of a solid 23rd place, the association is 27th now, which means that they should start to fear that one CC place must be given to another league. Branvun will probably be hurt by this, as they are the league's second place since antiquity.
