International Solidarity Magazine has produced its first Federation-wide ranking system for baseball clubs. The "Base ISM" is the simplest such formula to date. Championships ("!") have not even been factored in to the ISM rankings; the official "ISM Prediction", however, will take them into account. Minor League campaigns are marked with "*". Very few minor league teams were ranked by the ISM, although the "Prediction" will make finer distinctions to an extent.

Trivia:
The best campaign in the FBL's six seasons has been San Pedro's in FSDBL Season 2. The plucky Angelenos went 104-3-69 in the most dominant federal campaign ever, but were defeated 4-2 in the Federal Series by Carmel Valley of northern San Diego. After setting the bar so high, they have struggled to find their identity; their best campaign in the interval has been the next one, 87-3-70, while they have struggled to stay in the top flight over the last two seasons.

The worst campaign is disputed. The ISM formula considers the worst campaign in any given season to be the one with the fewest wins (and then the fewest draws between them), because this works across all previous FBL formats (FSDBL and BLFSC). By that metric, El Cajon and Carmel Valley had the worst campaign simultaneously in FSDBL3, each going 28-0-47. Weirdly, this was the season right after Carmel Valley won their championship. The theory that the El Cajon-Carmel Valley FSDBL3 campaign was the worst, is supported by the fact that they had a worse win percentage (37.3% vs 39.4%). However, they played against mixed competition in that format, including the best teams. Thus, others argue that North Park had the worst campaign in Minor League II (two seasons ago) with their 60-92 record entirely against Minor League competition. ISM concludes that it is impossible to distinguish between the two in this regard, but that one of them is the worst.

Mission Valley has the most wins and losses at 517-9-454. Kearny Mesa has the most ever ties, with 10.

The most dominant campaign irrespective of opponent skill level is absolutely the one Imperial County had in Minor League I. The southeastern desert dwellers lit up the ML to the tune of 110-79 before posting mediocre results in the FBL and barely staying in the top flight after last season. Interestingly, Lemon Grove also dominated with a 103-80 record in that year's ML, then swept Solana Beach 4-0 to win Federal Series V. Solana Beach would take their revenge by winning Federal Series VI in a five-game smash-and-grab vs Linda Vista.

After a very successful first season, The Estope Baseball Association returns for season 2. All 16 teams returned and will maintain the format containing four divisions with four teams each. The winner of each division will make the playoffs and advance to the BCCC. But this season will be expanded so that every team plays three times, instead of one, series against every team in the EBA. Also this season, there will be no cross division opponents to be played more than the rest of the league. They will each play four series against within their own division. Series are three games each. Will the Garden Springs Bats repeat as champions or will some of the larger teams finally live up to expectations? Below are the results for the second season of the Estope Baseball Association.

After a sort of moving ground issues, which included a couple of territorial earnings, nsi.baseball returns for another season. The team numbers grew quite a lot, sadly, talent didn't follow it a lot. So here we go, the start of the league. Winner gets free dinner at Joe's.

Things go swimmingly for Dolphins in legitimately exciting season

Finally, after a season with artificial excitement, came the real thing. The regular season drama ended where it began, in the Central Division. Before the season came the announcement of the Mustangs' cross-district rivals, as they generally have to be known, that the Werwolfs thing had gone on far too long (we paraphrase) and that, henceforth, they would be known as the Elefants. They don't need any silly ph digraphs, over that way. Nor is this nickname likely to stick, but come on. It's the east side. That's how they roll.

They also rolled to another .500 record, despite actually racking up the best margin of victory across the league. The worst overall margin of defeat came to the Inver Millers, whose league-worst pitching didn't help; their counterparts in offensive futility were the Zwischen Bears, seventeen games out of first. And, according to the international rankings, still our best team.

More success could be found from the best pitching staff--and we don't mean to brag, but that would be Arlington's own Aurora--and the leading hitters, the Spenson Worms (who are suddenly decent). They would make the playoffs; we, alas, would not, falling short to the Noh Weir Red-Tails. They and the Logrove Dolphins were tied for the best overall record, but the Dolphins' superior head-to-head record (5-1) saw them get named high seeds.

And in the Central? A tie, requiring a one-game playoff! Sandra Alper, before retiring as commissioner, finally got around to...uh...commissioning a study about the limitations of home-field advantage that affirmed that pretty much whatever we did was fine. So, the Gray Sox took on the Flash...and really fell flat, as Frischberg ran out to a 10-2 triumph.

Both division series would go the distance, and the Flash's momentum seemed to carry, as they and the Worms posted similar 6-1 wins in their first games. The Worms took a two games to none lead while the Flash let the Dolphins tie up the series, before retaking the lead as the Red-Tails got their first playoff win. Game Four saw Spenson hold on to clinch with a game to spare, but another Dolphins win let them take the series back to Logrove (well, kind of), where they won to advance to the championship series.

Without any third-place playoff silliness to deal with, it was full speed ahead to Logrove. The first two games were split, but the Worms lost the next two at home. With their backs to the wall, they won game five (no, literally--there were several leaping catches up the side of the Worm Hole), only to lose game six in Logrove, 5-4. So, the Dolphins are champions again, nice going!

The Tenth Baseball Club Champions Cup

Procedure
- 64 teams from 16 nations
- The tournament will consist of the following rounds:

(OOC: I must thank you for submitting exactly 16 leagues. 64 is probably the easiest-to-work-with number known to mankind)

Round 1: All nations' champions will face a fourth submitted team from another league. A second submitted team will play a third submitted team (from another league). All 64 teams will play.
Round 2: Teams will be drawn randomly against each other, with the only condition that two teams of the same league will not play each other. The remaining 32 teams will play in this round.
Round 3: All 16 teams will be drawn randomly against each other.
Round 4/Quarterfinal: All 8 teams will be drawn randomly against each other.
Round 5/Semifinal: All 4 teams will be drawn randomly against each other.
Round 6/Final: The remaining two teams will play each other.

All matches, except the final, will be 'best of three': the first team to win two matches, advances.
The final will be 'best of five': the first team to win three matches, wins.

Final Venue Selection
The Selection Committee for the final site is made up of 13 members from the AIBC Boards of Trustees. The bid with the lowest number of votes per round will be removed and the next round of voting will take place. The winner of the final venue host is the stadium who wins the final round of voting, OR accumulates 50% + 1 of any individual round's vote before the final round.

No final venue bids were submitted, which means this year's final will take place at Stade de Saugeais, Montbenoit, Saugeais.

The Tenth Baseball Club Champions Cup

Congratulations to Ile Perrot Epee from Sicoutimont for winning the 10th BCCC!

BCCC 11 entry details:
Every league is allowed to send four teams, multiassociational leagues (as of yet there are none) are allowed to send up to six teams, of which a maximum of four teams may be from the same league.
Ile Perrot Epee are assured a spot in the First Proper Round as the reigning champions. If they fail to qualify for one of Sicoutimonts four places, it will replace the fourth-placed team.
The deadline for the 11th BCCC will be 29-Mar-2013

Host bids will follow the same criteria as last season: entry must at least have a stadium name, capacity, and city. The Finals venue will be determined via a knockout vote style. Last place stadium in the round is dropped out, and at any time a stadium gets more than half of the votes, all voting ends and that stadium is determined to be the host. If no host bids are received, the Finals will take place at the National Stadium in Sraltlur, Ko-oren. This also opens the host bid for the final of the 11th BCCC: you may submit your host bid along with your entry details, the deadline of which will also be 29-Mar-2013

Allinlian Baseball league Regular Season Standings!

Another wild ABL regular season has just concluded! Last year continued the trend of small market teams with long histories of sitting at the bottom of the standings winning the championship that was set by the long suffering Brineport Grays was continued by the wildcard Harvestvalley Dragonflies. At the BCCC the Allinlian teams impressed with 3 out of the 4 squads sent (the Normonwoth Wolves, the Laquete Catfish, and the Harvestvalley Dragonflies) advanced past the first round. Laquete, the only team participating last year with previous BCCC experience (a testament to the incredible parity that has characterized the league for the past decade!) was especially impressive, making it all the way to the quarter finals before being eliminated by the eventual champions from Sicoutimont. The ABL teams' impressive performance was rewarded by being listed as the 9th best BCCC league in the world by the international power rankings. Allinlia is hoping to match last year's tournament success, despite the Catfish and Wolves failing to make the postseason, and thus will certainly not be qualifying this year.

This year in the ABL has been an exciting one as the League added 2 new expansion teams, located in the nation of Strawbee, whose exciting start in the WBC has driven interest in baseball in our neighbors to the west to a fever pitch. The League was proud to welcome the Peerson Warlords and Kanaassa Legends ball clubs. The AL and IL west divisions will now have 6 teams instead of 5.

It was a season full of surprises as rising young team, The Seguin Pioneers stole the #1 seed in the IL. The defending champs grabbed the #3 seed but last year's AL champions and ABL runners up, the Normonwoth Wolves just barely missed out on a playoff spot. The Patronus Falcons bounced back from their mediocre season last year to grab the #1 seed in the AL. Its anyone's guess as the playoffs are about to begin as to who will take the crown this time, and just who will be the BCCC representatives. Will the Falcons, Scallops, Dragonflies or Grays be able to make a return to the BCCC? Only time will tell.
