While the nation took a long break between WCs 7 and 25, the Holy Empire is proud to be the last currently active nation to have participated in WC1.
OOC - My RP time will likely be limited this Cup through to the 13th of January due to RL commitments. Those of you who recognise the above quote will no doubt know the vague direction I hope to go when I do have the time.
But summed up... There are Tzimisces cultists in Ordinary Reality; however, Tzimisces himself is totally uninvolved with the cult - indeed is actively trying to destroy it. Not just because it might sully his good name, but because it's being manipulated by Powers that Men (or women, or ursines, or robots, or spirits from the Uncertain Realms) Are Not Supposed to Know for their own dark purposes. The WC62-winning squad are also crack SBIS agents who are attempting to hunt down the Tzimisces cult under cover of the World Cup qualifiers.
The Powers that Men Are Not Supposed to Know will - unsurprisingly - be lifted straight from the Cthulhu mythos, and when I have the time, I hope to RP in purple Lovecraftian prose.
If anyone else wants to join in by having the Holy Empire's squad surreptitiously (and all action should be highly secret and covert so it can be plausibly denied / totally ignored by other nations, as appropriate) confront the Thousand Young of Shub-Niggurath in their nation - regardless of whether they're in my group or not - they're welcome to do so without my further input.

The assistant coach is Starblaydi World Cup Hall of Fame legend Simeone Di Bradini.
The Holy Empire always registers the coaches as players, just in case.
Kit
The squad will wear the famous Imperial Gold and Red, as worn by the Holy Empire since WC1 (home left, change/away right)
Ground
Home matches take place in the jewel-encrusted and gold and platinum-domed Imperial Hippodrome.
Style Modifiers / formation
Frosty football is attacking football. The Holy Empire always plays a 3-5-2 formation using overlapping wingers that turns into 3-3-4 on the counterattack.
OOC'ly, the team uses the maximum attacking style modifier permitted by each cup's hosts.
RP instructions:
Except as described below, knock yourselves out - creative RP is encouraged.
Please remember that the basic rules for travel to the Archregimancy [see above] also apply to the Holy Empire - you'll need someone to build a portal for you, you can't just fly/walk/drive there. If you want to deal with the malleable reality and non-linear time elements of the Dreamed Realm, and have no prior experience of these, it's probably best to check with me first.
Only I can decide if and when I might choose to field the coaches as players; please don't do this unilaterally.
