Stadium: Leorudian Olyimpic Stadium
The Leorudian Olyimpic Stadium is a brand-new, state-of-the-art football stadium. Built in the middle of the Leorudian Capital District, it can hold 96,300 people, though most of the time more fans than that are packed in. It is a hard place to go and play a game.

Pretty cool, huh?
Manager: Sam Orlandus
Sam Orlandus is a manager who is a veteran of the game. He managed a Leorudian college club for years, and the creation of the club was a perfect oppurtunity for him to manage on an international scale. After a few unsucessful campaigns, his job is somewhat in question this season.

Roster:
Name-Position-Age
Starting Roster
Scena Tartarus-Keeper-25
[spoiler]Scena Tartarus is quite possibally the best goalie Leorudo has ever seen. Only 25, he has blocked uncountable shots and
saved uncountable failed coverages. This man makes Leorudo a defensive club.
Photo:
Image

Juan Rojas-Defender-27
Juan Rojas is a very important piece of the Leorudian Defensive stance. He is great for defending the player that scores on a put back Scena's saves while also being the one who plays his music too loud in the clubhouse before games. He is a fun character.
Photo(on the Right):
Image

Donald Freedman-Defender-29
Donald Freedman is a pain to play agianst. He can make even the best forwards have a bad day at times by his sheer amount of stamina. He is also a member of the defensive side that has held clubs ranking from Vilitia to 95X to scoring few if any goals in AOCAF play.
Photo:
Image

Shaun Delrose-Midfielder-36
Shaun Delrose is a defending midfielder for the club, but his main strength is that he is the captain of the team and the oldest member of the team. He is the mentor of the club for many of the younger players, and while he is not as good as he was in his prime, his mental presence can inspire anyone on the team to explode onto the game's scene at anytime.
Photo:
Image

Carlos Azulis-Striker-21
Carlos Azulis is the upcoming star in the club. He is very young and quite raw when it comes to the international stage, but he can still run and play with the best of them. Give him a couple years, and he might be one of the best players on the Leorudian squad.
Photo:
Image

Leonardi Opladious-Midfielder-25
Leonardi Opladious, or the "Pride of Leorudo", as he is known by the Leorudian fanbase, is a kid who grew up in the local Leorudian city streets. He became known for being in almost every pickup game from when he was a kid up until a local scout selected him to try out for the new club. Playing on the city streets gave him a physical mentality that he carries with him today which is the great qualit that he has no fear taking an opponent's head off. He is a hell of a player.
Photo:
Image

Brendan Kiernan-Midfielder-27
Brendan Kiernam is your textbook midfielder. He does not really excel at anything, but he can pass, shoot, dribble, and defend at a consistant level that is needed to keep this team anchored to their defensive base.
(No photo avalible)

Jim Fenlon-Forward-30
Jim Fenlon is a forward that cannot shoot to save his life. While this is a needed trait for most forwards, Jim makes his money off of passing. He can pass to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Him and Luke Moore are a good pair because of Luke's quick foot a and Jim's quick pass. This is a duo that will catch you off guard if your not prepared for a quick strike close to the net.
Photo:
Image

Luke Moore-Forward-24
Luke Moore is a player that is not unfamiliar with scoring goals. Though not the greatest passer, he can put a ball in the back of the net in a blink of an eye. In his first World Cup, he was the leading scorer for Leorudo and a known player in the local pub scene. He is quite the intresting character.
Photo(in his college uniform):Image

Curtis Osano-Forward/Midfielder-26
Born to a sailor's wife on the docks of Leorudo, he would spend most of his youth playing on the docks with other sailor's childern as they passed through the ports. In this playing, he developed an unorthodox style of scoring, shooting a shot that bounces and curves wildly from the middle of the shoots pitch. When he misses, though, Luke Moore stands ready to put a rebound in the back of the net, well, most of the time.
Image

Rashid Yussu-Defender-38
A former Leorudian great, he is know entering the final phase of his career. He is also a mentor for many of the younger guys and helps defend an opponent who attempts to get a rebound. He is another piece of the puzzle that anchors Leorudo to it's defensive base.
Photo:
Image

Subs
Seb Brown-Keeper-35
Seb Brown is the former Keeper of the club that seems to have taken Scena Tartarus under his wing. He is still a decent keeper that can be a sub if Scena needs a break, but his main role on the team is too progress Scena into a start keeper.
Photo:
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/4235/joehartf.png

Warren Cummings-Defender-20
Warren Cummings was born in a village in northern Leorudo. There, he was introduced the game his village has been playing for centuries. He has a good work ethic and he is fairly underrated compared to the rest of the squad.

Callum McNaughton-Forward-25
Callum McNaughton is a fairly new Leorudian Forward that has only ever appeared in one game on the international stage.
He is a fairly good goal scorer, but he tends to quickly foul rather than chase his man down. Much better on the ball then off.
Photo(He is the one on the right):
Image

Mat Mitchel-Defender-24
Mat Mitchel is a prospect that is really just being used to take up an extra roster spot. He is not really skilled at much besides stopping players on the run, he is your textbook back up who can come on if needed and help the club.

Cataduanes Free State National Football Team
Selección de fútbol del Estado Libre de Cataduanes

It has been many decades since the Cataduanes Free state last attempted to compete in the World Cup due to decades of political instability and civil war, a fact which has ensured this squad has the full backing of the fans back home as it has provided the nation with a new focus for patriotic expression and a welcomed distraction from the problems of reconstruction and social exhaustion. However there is no weight of expectation on what is a young squad, if anything the fans and critics will expect only that the squad show a good account of themselves in what will be a tough reintroduction to international football.

SQUAD

Coach: Manuel Taipa
The queitly spoken 65 year old is relatively unknown outside of the Cataduanes Free State. His own playing career was a humble one (a lower league journeyman) but his coaching career has seen more success having won titles in the domestic league with both Atletico Tanyang and Estella Roja amid the ravages of the civil war. With the end of the war and the rise of military rule Taipa was put in charge of rebuilding the national side, this squad is the culmination of that work.

Goalkeepers

Hector Santos (Estrella Roja)
25 year old Santos is vice-captain of the squad, having been the mainstay between the sticks for his club since he was 19, he is experienced but like the rest of the national side is relatively untested at this level of international football. But given his clubs dominance of the domestic league in recent seasons he should have no trouble adapting.

Oscar Song (Alcantara de Oltaloro)
The 22 year old has been a recent discovery having come to light when the senior goalie at his club was injured leaving Song to take his place, an opportunity he did not fail to take and subsequently had a great season.

Ali Buyohoto (Deportivo Tanyang)
The 26 year old made the squad as the third choice goalie but is regarded as a solid and capable goalie if not as flashy in the skill department as Santos and Song. He is one of three players drawn from the Muslim 'Bangsa Rashidi' minority.

Defenders

LB: Buenaventura 'El Chino' Jishi (Club Minas de Samal)
The 23 year old left back nicknamed 'El Chino' due to his Chinese heritage is blessed with pace and decent tackling ability if somewhat lacking in the height department. His natural predilection for bombing forward adds a potent threat to the sides overall offensive ability, but can leave the back line exposed when facing tactically astute or superior opposition.

RB: Mattias Guevara (Atletico Monreal)
The 24 year old right back and captain of the international side is a straight talking and tough tackling figure, qualities which have given him a measure of infamy and celebrity back home. He innate toughness and ruthlessness has ensured he has the respect of the squad.

CB: Luis Garza (Estrella Roja)
At 18 he is the youngest member of the squad but he has already had two fantastic season as a first team player for his club, two seasons in which they have won back to back titles, an achievement Garza played an intrinsic part of.

CB: Basilio TIto (Estrella Roja)
At 29 Basilio Tito is the old man of the squad, very experienced in the domestic league he is renowned for his ruthless tackling and temper, the latter a trait that has caused him trouble in the past.

LB/RB: Vicente Badjao (Almagro CF)
The 20 year old is the sole representative in the international side for his domestic club were he is the rock upon which their recent good placings in the league have been built. While nominally right footed he has a capable left foot which has seen him being used liberally at both right back and left back providing cover for both Jishi and Guevara.

CB: Mamintal Datumanong (Jayaminahasa CF)
One of the 'Holy Trinity' at Jayaminahasa CF, the club of the Hindu population, as one of the trinity he is a celebrity in the Hindu region of Curon. His playing style is based on Basilio Tito who was his idol as a kid.

Midfielders

LM: Ferdinando Estrada (Estrella Roja)
The 22 year old is blessed with electrifying pace and an accurate left foot he will certainly be one of the squads main avenues of attack. However he is noted for a degree of inconsistency which the youngster will have to work on if he is to make an impact at this level of international football.

RM: Tomas Lopez (Alcantara de Oltaloro)
The 25 year old is not as fast as a winger should be but has great feet that can manipulate the ball well, his dribbling ability more than makes up for his lack of real pace.

CM: Kris Kudarat (Jayaminahasa CF)
The 23 year old is the second of the Hindu 'Holy Trinity' and easily the most popular, his great vision and range of passing combined with decent pace and overall attacking qualities makes him the most complete player within the team. Renowned for his movie star looks he is easily the biggest in terms of celebrity status with his wedding last year being broadcast throughout the nation, a rare feat for a member of one of Cataduanes ethnic-religious minorities.

CM: Aitor 'El Vasco' Ocio (Estrella Roja)
The 24 year old Ocio is nicknamed 'El Vasco' (The Basque) due to his Basque heritage (his father was a Basque immigrant) he has been a major figure at his domestic league club, playing a major part in their offensive play which has led to back to back titles. His partnership with Kudarat has worked were his determination, defensive outlook and never say die attitude complemented Kudarat's attacking nature.

CM: Salipada Tandang (Jayaminahasa CF)
The 24 year old is the third of the Hindu 'Holy Trinity' at Jayaminahas CF, more of a defensive midfielder he will provide back up should anything happen to Ocio.

CM: Iskander Pendatun (Ardar)
The 22 year old is one of three players from the Muslim 'Bangsa Rashidi' minority, another midfielder with defensive qualities he is noted for a great range of passing which has served his club well.

LM: Alonso Vega (Atletico Oriente)
The 18 year old has been called up on the back of decent performances over the course of the last domestic season, while possessing great raw qualities as a winger he is clearly not the finished article as of yet.

RM: Jacinto Valle (Santa Cruz CF)
The 19 year old right winger has also been called up on the back of decent performances over the course of the last domestic season, like Alonso Vega he is a raw talent with bags of potential, time will tell if he has what it takes to help the national side progress in terms of collective ability.

Forwards

RF: Paco Morientes (Estrella Roja)
The 23 year old is blessed with strength and height, the combination makes him dangerous in the air and he also has good off the ball movement. However he is not blessed with a great first touch or finishing ability and has to rely on the wingers to provide crosses into the box that enable him to use his abilities to their fullest.

LF: Juan Marmelejo (Alcantara de Oltaloro)
The 24 year old is the opposite of Paco Morientes, short, lithe and very quick. He has a great first touch and above average finishing ability but in matches where the wingers are relied upon he tends to play little part. However in recent international fixtures where Kudarat has been fit and provided a steady supply of balls from the center of the pitch he has excelled.

RF: Rashid Tulawi (Ardar)
21 year old Tulawi is the third of the squads players from the Muslim 'Bangsa Rashidi' minority, a player in a similar mould to Juan Marmelejo

RF: Hector Chema (Tres Rios CF)
The 19 year old has been called up on the back of decent performances over the course of the last domestic season, with pace and a mean shot he has still to flesh out the other aspects of his role. A great raw talent that still needs to gain experience in order to further polish his game.

Starting XI

GK: Hector Santos

RB: Mattias Guevara
LB: Buenaventura 'El Chino' Jishi
CB: Luis Garza
CB: Basilio TIto

RM: Tomas Lopez
CM: Kris Kudarat
CM: Aitor 'El Vasco' Ocio
LM: Ferdinando Estrada

RF: Paco Morientes
LF: Juan Marmelejo

Roles
Free Kicks: Kris Kudarat
Right corner: Tomas Lopez
Left corner: Buenaventura 'El Chino' Jishi
Penalties: Kris Kudarat

Stadium

The national stadium is the 45'000 capacity 'Estadio Nacional' based in the capital city Santa Cruz. Built over 80 years ago it is a rather dilapidated structure which readily wears the signs of long term neglect and civil war (bullet holes and other battle scares are all too apparent). Plans were put forward by the ruling military dictatorship to either renovate the stadium or build a new one altogether however no action has been undertaken in either regard.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT/S:

New Ecopia International was established by Comoros Sanchez in 1890 to introduce The Democratic Republic of New Ecopia to the art of soccer which consisted of twenty two of the nations best athletes who played there first match but against each other as NEI 1st XI and NEI 2nd XI with a final score of 3-3 at Ecopia Park.

Over the years New Ecopia International has shown the world a new art of soccer of Densetsu-tekina kōsei which had lead them to countless victories hence giving them legendary status in the world of soccer. Also New Ecopia International had produced legendary soccer players such as Kikio Niro, Antoine Lefèvre, Kenoyi Mikhail and Kenneth Southampton who still plays for New Ecopia International ever since they have started in 2002 at the age of 16.

Today, New Ecopia International is working on a new project, the aim is to pass down the Densetsu-tekina kōsei tradition to junior soccer prodigies within the nation and around the world to produce an new breed of soccer legends to the world.

We are a proud supporter of the RMA Foundation.

GK:Manny Anderson(19 years old,6'0)
CB:Daequan Mbenga(30 years old,6'8)

RM: Shawn Douglas-Roberts(28 years old,6'1)
ST:Tony Allen(32 years old,6'0)
ST:Dan Randolph(29 years old,6'6)

The crusaders are known for their amazing quick paced passing and amazing plays in the injury time.David Johnson is a known penalty stopper, being only scored 13 times out of 48 attempts. The Fields brothers can use their amazing pace to attack down the flanks. Jonny is the better passer and crosser while Larry can penetrate through the opposition. Edwards and Mbah a Moute are bulky and strong, being very hard to pass by.

The midfield is by far the best part of the crusaders offense. Dwight Brown is the playmaker. With amazing sight and awareness, he is always able to find Johnson,Shearer and the occasional Bryant for the easy goal. King and James help out in the build up.Donaldson has amazing tackling and long passing ability also makes him a threat in starting the play. With amazing jumping ability,he always seems to win the headers even when he is only 5'11.He is also the team's free kick taker, with amazing power on both his feet.

Shearer is amazing at winning headers and his amazing accuracy makes him a threat for set pieces. His ability to get open also helps out as he can easily find his way to get open.Joe Johnson has amazing dribbling and speed.Combined with amazing accuracy, once he gets past, you have to hope that your goalkeeper can stop him.9 goals in 4 games is an amazing feat,he is San Potato's star and major threat.

One of the biggest stadiums in San Potato,it is home to the San Potato National football team.It is up to date, has great dressing rooms to accomodate the visitors and home side.It has amazing training facilities, with 8 field for training,8 gyms,a swimming complex and a tennis court.
As it is part of San Potato's sports hub, everything is public and people are allowed to watch their favourite teams train and exercise.
It has free parking and the car parks are amazingly high tech. With 3 high tech modern clinics and 1 hospital nearby, all injuries are treated quickly.
Underground has all the souvenir shops, food courts, rest rooms and other shops. All are high tech and cleaned regularly. The food court has many exotic and local food and can seat over 40,000 people. There is also a huge gaming shop and arcade nearby, allowing for endless fun.

This stadium is open 24/7, which is why the traffic here is really busy, there is a metro system here that goes back to the airport.

The people and fans of San Potato are very welcoming and friendly, cheering for San Potato and the opposition. They never boo if the opposition scores and cheers for both teams. They can be a bit rough if provoked though.

For one of the very few times, Qazox has lost no one from their previous World Cup squad. Only the addition of a 3rd goalkeeper, 17 year old Marissa O'Dell, prevents this from being the exact same team as from 4 years ago. The good news is that this team has experience not only playing together, but in the World Cup. the Bad news is the average age of the starting XI is 31.63 years making Qazox one of the older teams that will play in the 63rd edition of the World Cup. Will it work or backfire?

el Diezcondado

Postby Free South Califas » Thu Dec 20, 2012 11:02 pm

Represents the real-life Ten Counties of Southern California: mid-coast Los Angeles (43.3% of total population), far south coastal San Diego (13.6%), Orange (13.3%) in between, Riverside (9.7%) to the east, San Bernardino (9%) just north of that, northeastern Kern (3.7%), coastal-and-desert Ventura (3.6%) just north of LA, coastal Santa Barbara (1.9%) northwest of LA, coastal San Luis Obispo (1.2%) in the far northwest, and Imperial (0.8%) deep in the southeastern (inland) desert. For reasons of geographical convenience only, (San Diego, Orange, Riverside, Imperial) are called the "South Counties", while (San Bernardino, Kern, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo) are the "North Counties" and Los Angeles County is considered separately as its own microcosm. (The distinction is more important in rugby, but also represents a gradient of industrial focus (S->N) from biotechnology to component manufacturing and repair, and of agriculture from fruits and meats to vegetables and dairy.)

Off pitch, FSC fans are known to be partial to live music and the odd kiloton of marijuana, sharing their own federal cannabis distribution collective and supporting a large number of traveling Califan bands with voluntary donations, taco sales and so on. The team also has salaried drummers who receive free tickets, and the noise situation at FSC home games can get a bit raucous, on account of there’s nothing to stop an amateur instrumentalist or several dozen from making the trip and sitting in the community free seats. Home games feature a ritual similar to the Mexican Wave which involves passing joints, although there is also the actual Mexican Wave, since this used to be Mexico. Matches in coastal counties may be disrupted by the throwing of beach balls onto the pitch, an old sports tradition which has never been fully extinguished.

In capitalist and/or authoritarian countries, FSC supporters can kick off a bit of a riot, when offended enough by local policies. Otherwise they are generally well-mannered with the odd exception, and in all cases they are encouraged by federal law and required by unwritten custom to volunteer some of their traveling time at local charities, particularly those involving the production and distribution of food, clothing and shelter.

In association football, rivals include Ko-Oren, Kinitaria, Osarius, Bostopia (but not so they'd notice), Unibot, and most recently Phoenigetuzstha, the latter three of whom we have upset in World Cup Qualifying; most devastatingly and consistently against Phoenigetuzstha, who we have disturbed in WC 61 and 62, but with similar consistency against a Bostopian team which would have had no mathematical reason to care. Unibot is the only nation which has had its WCQ travel restricted on our end; in their case, by outstanding arrest warrants for diplomats and government officials suspected of breaking regional law. The first three rivals listed are FSC's opponents in traditional pre-qualifying friendlies, and this time the lists have merged as Osarius has been drawn into our group.

Profit (defined as revenue kept by an individual in excess of any reasonable need or causing the danger of exploitation, without being reinvested into productive or socially useful activity) is outlawed in Free South Califas, so visitors would be ICly behooved to generally refrain from selling things except for obvious charitable causes in order to avoid any troubling confusion. There is no specialized police force, but FSC citizens are trained to conduct citizen's arrests and have a deep interest in maintaining order and stability.

Godmod other events - only related to earthquakes, droughts, wildfires, mudslides and other realistic weather events typical of Southern California or your country. Earthquakes are extremely common here, but rarely strong enough to break anything or even be noticed without sensitive equipment.

In winter, flooding can strand vehicles in the heavily-populated area around Mission Valley Stadium in San Diego, which itself is actually an emergency shelter in wildfire season (October in San Diego County).

In the course of extreme-weather RP, you may injure one of my players if realism requires it.
Do not kill anyone named in this post without my express permission.

Pan dulce, Castilian Spanish for 'sweet bread', is an assortment of frosted pastries that has been popular across South Califas since the days before the late 19th century war in which the region was annexed from Mexico.

The old 'Incredible 11 Kits' are still in use for friendlies and non-WCC-sanctioned tournaments:

The Harvest Mice weren't expected to do much when they debuted for World Cup 60 qualifying after missing the registration date for the Baptism of Fire that has traditionally honed the mettle of new nations. When the plucky Califans finished 4-3-7, just a point out of fourth place, they were shocked to do better than 7th. A 2-2 upset draw against Unibot followed by an even bigger 0-0 upset draw against Bostopia were perhaps the highlights of the Group 12 action for FSC, but they also pasted fellow unranked competitors Corderock and finished even on series with Cult of Ashley Greene and Monastery-on-the-Rock before taking another 2 points away from Unibot with a 0-0 draw.

Despite the unexpected successes along the way, South Califas pundits have warned that a group softened by Bostopia's body blows week in and week out inflated the Mice's results. While there is much difference of opinion about the way forward, the players came to agree that it would be wise to hire a manager with experience in international competition rather than relying on the player-manager system. After a characteristically long and confusing election, the players decided to bring on [nation=Osarius]Osarian[/nation] club manager Oswaldo Garabona, formerly of the Violia club (as manager) and Grasshoppers Turic (as captain). Garabona was considered a good fit for the flexible, unorthodox, somewhat unpredictable, anarchic improvisational style of the Harvest Mice. Nicknamed "El Loco", Garabona is known for using bizarre and innovative formations and controversial substitutions, as well as for giving the general air of a used car salesman.

Given the strength and resilience shown by the ragtag band of footballers from World Cup 60, Garabona has decided to bring back the entire roster and start with a wing-heavy defensive formation, from which the quick-thinking Califans--honed by the total-football-like demands of El Metodo--can rapidly shift into a counterattacking form to catch opponents off guard.
After a historic 8-2-4 WCQ campaign, the Harvest Mice have been invited to their first ever Cup of Harmony. Garabona and company will have much to prove after jumping from rank 95 to 71 with a slew of impressive upsets and an embarrassing upset loss and draw to boot. The Mice actually overperformed against their ambitious preseason goal of 7-3-4, finishing in fourth place as predicted. They were in second place heading into the final game at West Angola and were barely defeated by the team they had upset earlier in the campaign; if they won, they would have reached the playoffs on positive head-to-head results against Phoenigetuzstha, also upsets. On the fast track to success, Garabona now has to watch out that he isn't hoist on his own petard of raised expectations, with Football Assembly elections coming up after the CoH.

Invited to their first Cup of Harmony, the Harvest Mice and Osarian manager "El" Oswaldo "el Oscar el Loco" Garabona stunk it up terribly, finishing a dismal 0-1-3, scoring a single goal off the right foot of left wing back Nadezhda Prokhorova, and being unceremoniously cast out of Wight like so much uninteresting face-cake. El Loco's return to his iconoclastic 6-3-1 "Spread Eagle" formation was disastrous. However, Football Assembly voters recognized El Oswaldo's historic achievement in securing the strapping young Federation's first CoH ticket, and moved to re-hire him for a third World Cup Qualifying and hopefully Cup of Harmony campaign, after he promised to use only a 4- or 5-defender formation. Calexico manager Álvaro Jímenez, fresh off a historic league championship for his club, was the most significant of a batch of domestic candidates who collectively received almost no electoral support, and Jímenez most of that meager crumb. The Federation-wide switch of the Federal Team nickname from "Harvest Mice" to "el Diezcondado" was ratified easily in the FA.

Starting right wing back Ernsta Heimdal, who has every possible WCQ cap from the first three campaigns, announced her retirement from international football in the hopes of getting the most out of her middle years at her home club, Fontana. Second in all-time scoring among Harvest Mice defenders, Ms. Heimdal expressed frustration that Fontana has not only lost its grip on the COPACASUR (federal cup), but stumbled at glory's doorstep by missing the Globe Cup for want of a single win. Media speculation suggests that Heimdal has between 5 and 8 seasons of peak performance left in her league and cup tank now that she will be focusing on the domestic game. Some even speculate that she will seek a move to a more highly-ranked domestic league to finish out her career. Ms. Heimdal registered 75 caps for the Harvest Mice, with all 46 caps, 1 goal and 2 assists in World Cup Qualifying matches.

Her retirement leaves an opportunity for on-the-job training for lightly seasoned Pomona wingback Satel Norman coming off the bench, who himself may be seeking greener pastures if his hometown club fails to inspire after being relegated back down to Series B for the first time. Relegation means less in FSC football than it ever has before, now that the 20-team federal league has been replaced with the multinational 20-team Califan Solidarity League, dominated by FSC but also including Israeli Apartheid Client-State and UK Central North America clubs. For what it's worth, op-eds in the Pasadena Worker insist that CSL Series B is Pomona's to win, although ImageNational City is a threat after finishing 4th as the second-best Califan team in the series, and so are the surging ImageAFC Bnei Brak and the temporarily mid-table ImageSC Ramat Gan.

In domestic trading, new CSL champions ImageCalexico have acquired Diezcondado starting right back Isabella Ferreira Cardoso, who has made living arrangements in the Imperial County desert town thus meeting the club's lax eligibility requirements, from her suddenly lackluster hometown Chula Vista side, which has been relegated to CSL Series C. Also, Conchúr Vittorio moved from his hometown Santa Barbara side, similarly relegated to Series C, to dawning CSL perennial contenders Oceanside, from north San Diego County (almost in Orange County). Oceanside slipped in to the Globe Cup by the skin of their knees with the last FSC seed.

Allowing for formation changes, the starting lineup is more or less the same, while the litany of dynamic strikers and forwards will be substituted in freely to amp up the pace throughout the match.

Crowned Federation of Khytenna's National Team

Style Mod: +2.0

Khytenna's come from a set of islands in the south of the Atlantian Oceania, they are Extremely tenacious (which is both a pro and a con) they really don't know when to give up and have a never die sprite. they play a fast game of quick one touch football with the runs from the wing. Firestone usually gets all the goals.

Licentian National Football Team

A disappointing Campionato for those with of a Cyan-and-Gold persuasion means that pressure will be high going into this World Cup. Despite having a good quality side, and having the confidence of winning the last Campionato, Sporadic’s side fell at the quarter finals. The fans will allow nothing less than qualification, and Kelly will have to deliver a trip to Aguazul and Turori unless he wants a lighter beneath his dugout.

Manager- Kelly Sporadic (Silexhera):
The chair is starting to get hotter for Kelly after a disappointing regional performance. The usual nutters are calling for his head, but most are simply beginning to worry. Sporadic has dismissed allegations that he is having to explain himself to the RLFA board, and they have confirmed that he has their full backing. But can he hold onto that with a good campaign at the World Cup ??

Goalkeepers:

1 – Clark McDonald - 24 years - AFC Farnworth
12 – Cameron Ritchie – 29 years – SC Montfort
13 – Duncan Watson – 26 years – Montfort Wanderers

Clark McDonald was the better of the top two ‘keepers at the Campionato, and Sporadic is a man of his word. The Farnworth number one is now the nation’s number one, at the expense of SC man Cameron Ritchie, who will have to prove himself at domestic level if he wants another shot at the national team any time soon. Watson will follow the team for the second time, but he isn’t likely to get his shot at this tournament.

Full Backs:

2 – Evan Russell – 25 years – Bayern Phoenix (TAE)
3 – Toby Bishop – 23 years – Carrington United
14 – Kevin Boyle – 24 years – Old Corinthians

The young pairing at fullback will continue through the World Cup, with Russell and Bishop both showing their worth at the Campionato, and no real talent beneath them on the national level. Kevin Boyle will come along for the ride again, with a few starts likely in lesser games.

Centre Backs:

4 – Billy Walters – 29 years – Montfort Wanderers
5 – Sean Stewart – 31 years – AFC Farnworth
15 – Kyran Stevenson – 26 years – St Bart’s
16 – Harvey Morrison – 27 years – Abingdon Celtic

Sean Stewart has done enough to impress himself on the Silexheran manager, and he has earned himself a starting spot on only his second call-up. Billy Walters is ever reliable at centre back, and won’t let much past him. Kyran Stevenson’s injury problems have cost him a place, while Harvey Morrison, hasn’t done much to prove himself, and will stay on the bench for the Cyan-and-Gold.

Holding Midfielders:

8 – Nate Parkinson – 25 years – AFC Farnworth – (C)
17 – Mark McKay – 20 years – AFC Farnworth

Nate Parkinson threw in another star performance at the Campionato, with the newly-appointed captain showing why he is the main man in a midfield filled with talent for the Cyan-and-Gold. Mark McKay will get his chance during the World Cup, but he will have to wait to see a permanent shirt for Licentiapacisterra.

Centre Midfielders:

6 – Ben Miller – 33 years – Colesham Athletic
10 – Dylan Knight – 31 years – Montfort Wanderers
18 – Ruaraidh Donaldson – 25 years – Abingdon Celtic
19 – Josh Brown – 19 years – Montfort Wanderers

Miller and Knight have both admitted publicly that they are beginning to feel their age catch up with them, and there are even rumours that Ben will retire after the World Cup. They won’t have to worry about not having a talented replacement, with Ruaraidh Donaldson a real rising star. He will get multiple chances, whenever one of the older two needs a break. Brown may get opportunities, but is likely there to make up the numbers.

Wingers:

7 – Lewis Naylor – 25 years – Teva FC (UGO)
11 – Lewis Slater – 30 years – Colesham Athletic
20 – Jacob Paterson – 27 years – Montfort Wanderers
21 – Jared Anderson – 22 years – Carrington United

The Two Lewises were as dangerous as ever at the Campionato, even if they didn’t quite have the same service to Moran as they did to Kerr. Either way, Naylor and Slater won’t let this tournament pass them by, not with Slater aging fast. Jacob Paterson will have numerous chances to play, and will take the bull by the horns on the wing. Anderson will likely just make appearances off the bench, though he won’t disappoint when he does.

Center Forwards:

9 - Logan Moran – 29 years – Northbrook Diamonds (PIS)
22 – Alexander Keir – 24 years – SC Montfort
23 – Tyler Henderson – 30 years – Colesham Athletic

Logan Moran has been selected for the Cyan-and-Gold again for this World Cup, despite only recently returning from the injury he picked up at the Campionato. “King Keir”, as Moran’s backup became known on the back of his star performances in Logan’s place, will be out to prove himself on a bigger stage, and will certainly play well off the bench, while Henderson will take any opportunity he can get after being muscled out of the limelight by Keir.

Formation – 4-5-1, which may look like 4-3-3 when the wingers move forward

Starting Eleven – 1/3-4-5-2/8/7-6-10-11/9

Home Stadium – LTI Stadium:
Montfort, Montfort Parish
The spiritual home of the two biggest sports on the Islands, football and lacrosse, LTI Stadium will host the Cyan-and-Gold’s qualifying campaign for the third Cup running. Holding 75,000 screaming Islanders, you can expect a hostile atmosphere when you come to visit Fortress Montfort, as it has become known to the fans.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

Choose my goalscorers Y
Godmod scoring events N
RP injuries to my players Y, but nothing serious
Godmod injuries to my players N
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y
Hand out red cards to my players Y, 1 per game, if more, TG me
Godmod other events TG me

Skill Modifier- +1

All ages are correct on the first matchday of qualifying. All of the players will have aged by a year by the start of the World Cup proper/Cup of Harmony.

? Audioslavia is an ancient nation, recently having celebrated the 10th OOC anniversary of its inception. The nation originally CTE'd in 2006, was revived briefly in 2007 and 2009, and enjoyed a proper resurgence at the start of 2012, locating itself in Atlantian Oceania indefinitely after IC centuries of rivalries with various nations in the region.

The Audioslavia national side participated in World Cups 4 to 29, made an abortive comeback in World Cup 37, and rejoined the world of international football properly back in World Cup 57. The ancient Audioslavia side qualified for all but one of the World Cups it entered (a young Audioslavia failed during the WC5 qualifying playoffs) and generally maintained a place in the World's top twenty sides, peaking at #1 during the qualifying phases of World Cups 20 and 21. Paradoxically, the national team has seen more success in its modern form. Whereas the early years yielded only the inaugural U21 World Cup and a string of losing finals in the World Cup proper, the modern team won the Baptism of Fire tournament before WC59 and triumphed in the thirty-fifth and thirty-eighth installments of the AOCAF Cup. The side have also reached the final of the AOCAF cup on two other occasions, and have reached as far as the semi-finals of the Cup of Harmony.

Ten Things Audioslavia's football team are famous for:
1: The claret and green striped kits, complete with white pinstripe. They have been like this, with the odd exception, since World Cup 4.
2: Jeremy Jaffacake. The indescribable Jaffacake has been a satellite of the national team - both as sports journalist and member of the FFA - since World Cup 6. It is unwise to cross Jeremy Jaffacake. In fact, it's often unwise to even look at him. Jaffacake is arguably the most infamous character in the entirety of sports RPing. He's certainly the oldest.
3: Choking in major finals. Audioslavia are the record holders for losing the most amount of World Cup finals, in WCs 12, 19, 20 and 29. This is a record that Audioslavia are trying to put right, however, having improved their record in major tournament finals from 0-4 to 3-6
4: Being almost unbeatable in semi-finals. Audioslavia's senior side have a scarily good record record in major semi-finals, only ever losing once in nine appearances in major tournaments. Their record in major semi-finals is 9-1
5: Off pitch entertainment: A fervent, yet well-behaved support. Audioslavia's fans are generally friendly, enjoy mixing with the locals and are partial to the odd litre of whisky, not to mention the tabloid antics of one Jeremy Jaffacake.
6: On-pitch anti-entertainment. The Audioslavian national team have always played effective, if uninspiring football. The side are usually solid, with a cautious approach play and a willingness to hold on to posession rather than attempt anything to rash.
7: Building rivalries: Audioslavia count, and have counted, a lot of nations as their 'rivals'. They are, in order of healthiest to most hated: Lemmitania, Karditan, New Montreal States, Halfassedstates, Iansisle, Vilita/Turori, Bedistan, Squornshelous, Rejistania, Total n Utter Insanity, Krytenia U19s, Krytenia U21s, Krytenia 'C'. Krytenia 'B', Them. (Notable exceptions: Starblaydia ('the enemy of mine enemy is a team we've never played very often'), Armed Bears/Bears Armed ('caused Silexhera and Audioslavia all sorts of problems in the past, but are too cute to be hated'), Dorian and Sonya ('you can't hate someone you pretty much have the measure of, and we know for a fact they're about five foot two'), Liverpool England ('good Audioslavian teams have beaten bad LivEng/Liventian teams. Good Liv teams have beaten bad Audioslavia teams. We've played each other plenty of times, but never with too much needle'.))
8: Audioslavia have had, throughout their history, a disproportionate amount of wingers with names beginning with 'J'.
9: Audioslavia are the first and only team to have been eliminated from the group stage of a World Cup on penalties.
10: Audioslavia is home to Kirola Sportswear, the manufacturers of some of the more... avant garde football strip designs seen around the World Cup.

Audioslavian footballers tend to be a little on the small side compared to modern NS athletes. The average height for a goalkeeper or a defender is around 6'0, 5'7 for a full-back, 5'10 for a midfielder and 5'9 for a striker (although the 'target-man' style strikers tend to be nearer 6'0). All of Audioslavia's players, throughout history, have been human and male. Our players tend to be fairly quick with a lot of stamina and physical fitness, and are proficient at short passing. In general, however, our technique is fairly poor, are forward play is particularly uncreative and our small-ish team tends to struggle against physical teams. Our goals usually come near the end of games as our high stamina wins through.

As for the current crop, big striker Karsten Eiger is, at 6'2, easily the biggest member of the squad and is used as a target man for the team's five midfielders, of which all but Txordin Velazquez are making their first appearance in a World Cup qualifying tournament, having played together in the most recent CoH and AOCAF Cup. Velazquez is temperamental and is prone to picking up yellow cards, Soccorso is a limited water-carrier of a midfielder and is too easily out-witted by opposing playmakers, Zonnestraal and Mannestraal Jansen are twins, both wingers, both very very fast and with the ability to play with either foot. Our defenders are nothing special, but goalkeeper Imaslavii is a rising star in the Vilitan leagues, currently in the squad at the famous Jungle Strike F.C.

On the bench, the notable name is Weverton Sporadic. Weverton is the son of former Silexhera striker, former Audioslavia manager and current Licentiapacisterra manager Kelly Sporadic, and was an ever-present between WC59 and 62. Even at 34 years of age, he remains the most gifted player modern Audioslavia has ever produced, although age has relegated him to the bench.

GK:
Name: Erfaon Lisdiren
Age: 24
Team: Ajax Carloburgo (Valladares)
Style: Acrobatic goalkeeper
Bio: He was discovered by a Gorfalle Town scout by the age of 18. Quickly rose to fame by becoming Farfadillis' league's goalkeeper of the year with Flying Jellyfish and was consequently bought by Ferdullaele FC (Farfadillis' best team). He can stop almost any shot, but will almost always lose the ball due to poor handling, or send it out. He cans till handle easy shots, so he's really unlikely to commit a gross error. He's been a really good keeper at club level and national level an recently moved to Valladar relegation-threatened team Ajax Carloburgo, where he's expected to perform just as well. His performances were key for Farfadillis' third place last AOCAF as hosts. His best performance was without a doubt against the Blue Foxes of Pacitalia, having been the only one to keep Farfadillis up and able to fight along with Tuzzio in what was probably the most important match in Farfadillis' history.

LB:
Name: Illi Setentriona
Age: 22
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Can join the attack precisely, good at defending
Bio: Illi Setentriona is really good when joining the attack, really good at tackling and short, but fast. His dribblings are impressive and is almost always unmarked. He used to be the captain of the U-21 side, before he turned 22. He' been spotting interest from other Farf teams, but has declined many offers. Apparently, he's seeking for a move out. However, he's never said a thing, one of those quiet guys at conferences. Though not the one that everyone wants to be or the one who scores that very important goal or makes that spectacular steal that saves the game, his two cents are very important for the team, as he and Frêndê are Farfadillis' way of wreaking even more havoc. His marking isn't impressive, but he rarely ever needs to mark as Farfadillis likes to hold possesion for long periods of time.

CB:
Name: Yung Chinsúa
Age: 24
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Style: Fast defender, aerial threat
Bio: He's been the captain ever since Saindí retired after WC60's Qualifyings. His performances during WC 61's Qualifyings were overall decent, just as WC62's and the two CoH's he's taken part in, with good matches and bad matches. He's demonstrated he's an aerial threat despite being short, as he's good at knowing where the ball is heading and when to jump, as well as fouling people without the referee noticing. He's also really strong now and can tackle with extreme ease. However, it's proven he hasn't taken any kind of steroids or similar. He's fast and can dash to the ball at a very good speed for a defender. Still, he's often questioned by the Farf media because of how many chances the opponents often get during a match, ignoring the fact that he's often the only defender to prevent counterattacks, which are the most threatening weapon that can be used against La Vherderoja. However, nobody really pays attention to the Farf media, as Farves may be a bit aggresive, uneducated and so on but nonetheless smart enough to notice blatant lies that now-a-days are a common-sight on the media.

RB:
Name: Agundí Frêndê
Age: 24
Team: Mabel Wigglytuffs (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Style: Very selfish, awesome dribbler.
Bio: He's arguably the best dribbler of the team, with Tuzzio competing for this unofficial title as well. He's one of Rossizzo's favourites due to his playing style, his performances on Farfadillis' last matches were impressive. So far, he hasn't received much momentousness, but he may any time soon. A player everyone should fear at least a bit, you never know when he can score the goal you don't want to concede. His talent at through passing is obvious as well, he's demonstrated continuously, as well as his spectacular dribbling, which is vital for Farfadillis to create attacks, he and Setentriona form the duo of "defenders" that do anything except defend. Neither of them are good at defending, but their collaborations for the Farf attack are enough to make both of them worthy of the starter spot, unless Rossizzo wants a more defensive formation, in which case Nessi could kick-in. He won a cup with Mabel Wigglytuffs of Northern Sunrise Islands, but the team's performance at the Sunrisian league have been pretty average.

CDM:
Name:
Frion Wanderis
Age: 22
Team: 1.FFC Turbine Decraa (Mytannion)
Style: Very good defensively, very good dribbler, good passer.
Bio: Frion Wanderis is very good in important areas of the midfield, specially on a defensive point of view. He's a very important player of the team now, and never gets substituted. He's been performing awesomely lately, how much his form may last is unknown. These performances spotted the attention of Mytanar team 1.FFC Turbine Decraa, who are battling relegation and bought him to lead them forward out of the relegation zone. He and Mêndêlöíndçêl form another duo like that of Setentriona and Frêndê or Tuzzio and O'rosso. They're the ones who take care of keeping possesion and recovering it, both are good at defending, afterall. Wanderis is pretty good at retaining it as well, and even causing some problems to the defense when trying, though the effort he outputs isn't something you'd like, he still does pretty well, and has a high football IQ that helps him on everything. Perfect understanding of tactics and perfect prediction to steal the ball make his marking outstanding in a way and makes him a very important part of set pieces. His dribbling is very good and it helps him retain the ball, as mentioned.

CDM:
Name: Yurpá Mêndêlöíndçêl [C]
Age: 19
Team: Oyardo FC (Astograth)
Style: Very energetic, decent when it comes to technique and superb defensively.
Bio: Yurpá's not that good with the ball, but he's a ball-recovering machine. He was named most promising young player of the FFL and third best young player of the Astograthian League. He's got a solid place on the midfield, playing with Wanderis as a duo to keep possesion, Farfadillis' roots in its game. He's almost never the main protagonist of matches, but his constant steals always give Farfadillis an advantage, despite how he sometimes scores goals from long distances with strong missiles he's got used to execute. Has now forged an identity inside the field, often leading his teammates, an experienced tactician at a young age. Recently signed for astograthian side Oyardo FC, also, will be the captain this WC as he did really well as captain last AOCAF. He scored the equalizing goal in the Astograthian Cup Final that Oyardo won against Echegoyan. He's particularly ramarkable for how much effort he puts on the game, unlike his teammate Wanderis. This balances Wanderis' lack of will and makes them a very effective duo with Wanderis giving the skill and him giving the effort. His defensive skills are impressive, his steals are impossible to foresee as he's spectacularly fast and his passing is decent overall, with his dribbling not really being remarkable but not something you'd punish him for.

LM:
Name: Friekder Dandalleion
Age: 20
Team: Jungle Strike (Vilita)
Style: Extremely Fast, always helps on the offense, a bit on the defense, tends to score goals by outrunning players.
Bio: After being the best Farf player on the Swamp Soccer WC 2, he was called by Ferdullaele FC and started playing on Farfadillis' first division, was loved by the fans (who already loved him because of his performance on the SSWC2) and was called for the national team, quickly replacing Bujkanovic. He's is an example of commitment. He had performed really well in Cednia Beach, where he'd played slightly out of position, before signing for Vilitan champions Jungle Strike and becoming the first Farf player to play in the Champions' Cup, along with Ichi Tuzzio, where he got to the semifinals as a starter. Probably recognized as the best Farf footballer after becoming an AO-All Star starter and a World XI starter. However, Tuzzio's got a strong case for the same title as he was a sub for the earlier and the best foreign player in the V-League as well as best midfielder. He's by far the fastest of the team, and as it's Farfadillis that's quite a feat. He's difficult to catch when he dribbles using his speed, and his technique is by no means bad, his crossing isprecise, his dribbling is very good and his shots are unstoppable. He's also very oportunistic and knows when to run and which direction to take, which makes his speed even more lethal than it would be alone. He's one of those players that's never nervous and that never gives up a ball. Scores a lot for a midfielder, but he's more of a winger as of late, despite defending as well, which he does in an overall average way.

RM:
Name:
Rancisc Tenian
Age: 21
Team: Gwinevra Barbarians (Apox)
Style: Playmaker, horrible at defending, sometimes scores directly from crosses
Bio: Tenian is one of the first Farf players to play abroad. He is an incredible playmaker. Matino decided to call him for the starting eleven over Minduruguatzel, and Rossizzo decided that this decision was very sensible so he kept him and even as a starter. Recently champion with Gwinevra Barbarians of the Apox National League twice, being a key player. Sometimes scores directly from crosses, regardless of difficulty. At first it was thought that it was just luck, but he's done it so many times now that people know he does it on purpose. He's basically a slower than average midfielder but one with a very good technique for passing and crossing, his dribbling might not be as remarkable, but it's still very good. His marking isn't good, just as Dandalleion but worse, but he makes up for it by not letting the ball go, ever. He's not one of those players that runs all around the pitch and so on, as he's not fast, as said, but he's good at knowing when to run to get the ball before someone else, at least.

CAM:
Name: Matí O'rosso
Age: 21
Team: Mardi Lopunnies (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Style: Fast-paced, agile, playmaker.
Bio: He's the centre of every attack and can assist from very difficult positions, coupled with Tuzzio, his duo companion. His weak point is dribbling, as he's used to pass the ball as soon as possible since he started playing football, but that doesn't make him a bad dribbler, just an above average one. He's very passive and never complains to the referee, never dives either. His free kicks are almost impossible to stop He's been underperforming lately, but he's been performing really well at Mardi Lopunnies, from Northern Sunrise Islands. Being champion and being the winner of the "Top Striker" award for the Heritage Cup, where his team lost in semifinals. He's been lacking his momentousness lately, but he might recover it this time, his assists are still there and his free kicks still go in, but the spark is missing and Farfadillis, despite still doing well, still doesn't manage to do as in WC61's Qualifiers, where they were 1 point away from the play-off spot, and it was arguably the best performance of the national team ever.

CAM:
Name: Ichi Tuzzio
Age: 19
Team: Makosile United (Vilita)
Style: Very good at shooting from long distances, excellent dribbler, agile, and good playmaker.
Bio: Ichi Tuzzio was originally born in Dodeni, Dandillis, but due to the fact that if you're born on Dandillis you get Farfadillis' nationality too (and viceversa), he plays for Farfadillis, because he hadn't played any official competition for Dandillis, just unofficial ones, among them the Campionato Esportiva, of which no-one has collected records about the Dandish team, luckily. He's demonstrated he's a hell of a player by shining last AOCAF and scoring no less than 3 goals against the hegemonists of Pacitalia, which the Farves somehow managed to defeat 3-1. He's the player most adversaries should fear when along with O'rosso, maybe along with Dandalleion. He signed his first contract with a foreigner team for Kiiarana City, Vilita. There, he'd played almost every game of the season, finally playing for a competent team. Has a strong case for best Farf player, currently facing Dandalleion for it, unofficially, obviously. However, they're both really good friends outside the team. He was a substitute for the AO-All Star team and the winner of 2 important Vilitan awards: Best Foreign Player and Best Midfielder. Somewhat short and thin, still very good at fighting and celebrates every Farf win by drinking. He's one of those players that could start a war between Farfadillis and Apox. Oh, wait, I'm spoiling it. First Farf to take part in the Champions' Cup along with Dandalleion.

ST:
Name:
Fermín Juárez
Age: 24
Team: Avenida Victoria
Style: Deadly finisher who knows how to move in his natural habitat: the box.
Bio: Fermín Juárez is part of this mainly because of how he played in the FFL last season, outperforming pretty much everyone. He's still pretty young and is expected to play really well, fits better in a more defensive formation but can easily adapt. Performed decently enough last CoH to keep his starting position, the trophy in the war between the many young Farf strikers. However, he can fall down to any of the others easily. Led Avenida Victoria to its first-ever Globe Cup Group Phase appearance. His moves inside the box are to be feared, as well as his shots which are lethal, specially on one-on-one situations. He has an eye for the ball and can easily predict where the ball us heading, much as if it was an instinct. His headers are very potent and he likes to score from corners, as he doesn't find it hard. He's very acrobatic as well so if anyone would be most likely to score a spectacular goal similar or exactly as an overhead kick, that'd be him.

Substitutes

GK:
Name: Joan Raguzzelli
Age: 21
Team: Koloko
Style: Experienced Goalkeeper.
Bio: Raguzzelli may be young, but he's experienced; Koloko is a mid-table team which almost never manages to get a good player from their youth system. However, they managed to form Raguzzelli, and gave him playing time since his debut at the age of 16. He's played more than 300 matches for Koloko, but he'll probably move to another team as Koloko are likely to get relegated once again. He's probably gonna be Lisdiren's shadow for a lot of time, but he's still very experienced and makes up for an excellent back-up in case of send-offs, injuries and others.

LB:
Name: Nomá Greffe
Age: 23
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Style: Fast thinking, Tactical Mastermind.
Bio: Nomá Greffe is a very interesting LB, he's a bit slow, but totally makes up for it by always knowing what the opponent's going to do. He's not very good at long passing, so he often tries to make the team play better by using short passing. After not being called for the national team for some time, he's returned. Still, he probably won't be trusted anymore after some very bad performances leading to 8-1 and 7-1 thrashings, which many Farves still remember with dislike.

RB:
Name: Cundo Nessi
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 21
Style: Almost perfect tactically sepaking.
Bio: Nessi was born in Ruland, known as the "3rd world state", a state where almost everyone is living in poverty, and starving. He was one of those kids who didn't get an education because of it. However, he did play a lot of football and managed to be spotted by one of Flying Jellyfish's scout. He's almost perfect when it comes to tactics. Just Frêndê's back-up, but is flexible and may enter for anyone in the defense, or defesnsive midfield if they get injured/tired/on low-form/carded and Rossizzo foresees a red card. He was briefly the starter for the CoH, before he underperformed a bit and Farfadillis ended up last of its group. He's still a possible sub for matches that ask for a more defensive style, as both are really attacking, unlike Nessi.

LM:
Name: I7'imund Bujkanovic
Age: 32
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Fast, good on a defensive point of view.
Bio: I7imund is a fast midfielder, almost unstoppable on a long run. He's been the Best Farf Player of the year twice since his debút. His youth team was Tympú FC, but Ferdullaele FC bought him before he even debuted. Won't get much playing time, if any at all. He can still be decent when playing, but he hasn't got much time left in the team. He's been slowly losing his speed and might not have any real treats left now.

CDM:
Name: Hu Okno Sereno
Age: 18
Team: 1896 Ebor (Mytannion)
Style: Very good at defending, not that good at attacking.
Bio: Sereno started playing as a defender, however, he was quickly replaced by someone else on the CB position. That wasn't bad at all, as he found out he was actually better off playing another position: CDM. He is a really organized defender and really young, hadn't got enough playing time in Ferdullaele, but was a really promising player. Signed for 1896 Ebor, but probably won't get much playing time there, either. His quest for finding a starting position continues and it doesn't seem like he's close to getting one. However, one never knows...

ST:
Name:
Fabrifé Numbá
Age: 30
Team: Tympú AC
Style: Fast, precise striker.
Bio: An incredibly fast and very lethal finisher. Used to compete on athletism until, at the age of 16, his uncle persuaded him to compete on football instead, he did keep his athletic treats though, something easily noticeable. Currently plays on Tympú AC . He's returned to the national team after a break to care after his father, who recently died. He hasn't become the starter again yet, but he may in the future.

ST:
Name:
Yolo Fu
Age: 21
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Ideal Poacher.
Bio: After Numbá decided to retire from the national team for an undefined amount of time, Matino called Ferdullaele FC's current centerforward: Fu, a decision Rossizzo kept but sending him to the bench instead. He's the ideal poacher: exquisite heading, good finishing, good at reacting, good positioning and fast on short distances. He's demonstrated what he's worth, but the battle for being the starter against all other strikers will continue, he's been losing it up to now. He's not as acrobatic as Juárez and is a bit worse than him in some aspects, as well as not having the talent to foresee what can happen exactly, and isn't as good at dribbling as Johans, another one that can win back his position easily.

ST:
Name:
Neguimbelefra Fragreda
Age: 28
Team: Bafilo United (Slembana)
Style: Slow poacher.
Bio: Neguimbelefra is VERY slow, and often has troubles with the offside law, but he's a superb poacher and makes up for it completely. He lost his place on the starting eleven because of Ichi Tuzzio, Farfadillis' star now-a-days. He isn't getting any playing time with the national team lately, but he's the current top goalscorer in the Slembanan league. He's one of those players who you can predict not playing any minutes at all, or maybe just a few. However, you never know when Rossizzo can go completely crazy.

ST:
Name:
Septimus Johans
Age: 19
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Style: Finisher, Awesome Dribbler and good crosser.
Bio: Septimus is one of Farfadillis' best strikers, currently, everyone has put their eyes on this young striker, being known for being "the perfect finisher". His dribbling and crossing are very good. As a lone striker, he's one that carries marks and goes to the flanks to cross the ball for the incoming midfielders, a tactic that without him on the pitch has changed now. It proved to be very effective back at WC61's Qualifyings, so Rossizzo might want to try him as a starter on some games, and he might keep that position if he does well.

ST:
Name:
Sê Mêrí
Age: 19
Team: Mont Blanc Club (Free Swiss States)
Style: Awesome at crossing and going down the flank. Problems with goalscoring, but really young.
Bio: Sê Mêrí is actually a left winger, but he can pull off pretty much any position on the attack. He's been playing really well at the Free Swiss States, so he might get some playing time. It all depends on how lucky he gets, though. Played a really good DBC, too. Didn't get much playing time but might as well get some in the near future. He's still too young and isn't a complete prodigy like Dandalleion and Tuzzio were back on the day.

ST:
Name:
Vasilije Østergård
Age: 18
Team: Avenida Victoria
Style: Playmaking striker. Precise shooting from anywhere. Excellent dribbling.
Bio: At the age of 18, Vasilije is this team's youngest player, as well as the most promising along with Ragnere, Daokō and Mêrí, all of them taken from the squad used last DBC. He's characterized for leaving his teammate attackers with best-case-scenario opportunities. His playmaking is often too much for defenders. He's extremely precise at shooting, often fetching the upper-corners with elegance. His dribbling is much better than average and he tends to administrate it well: just as much dribbling as needed to create an opportunity. Østergård became a starter with Flying Jellyfish last year, almost breaking a record for youngest player to make his first appearance. After this success, he was transferred to current FFL winners Avenida Victoria and played as a starter in replacement of the deceased Cris Bartoloměj, leading the team to a Globe Cup spot. Completely settled with Avenida Victoria, might settle soon with the national team, and seems like he could become the striker this WC Qualifyings. He saved Farfadillis with a last minute goal against Burchadinger that sent Farfadillis through to beat Pacitalia later on, in a match where he wasn't really important but played some time. Has shown some good performances so far, he'll have to keep them up.

Stadium

Farf Fragar Firschendujmal I7'snerra
Capacity: 150,000
In 1950 the FFFF decided that it was time to have an official stadium for the national team, they had used Tympú AC's stadium up to that moment. In the end they brought the resolution for the Federal Council to approve (back in that time, federations had to draft resolutions for the Federal Council, which would approve them or not).
The 20th of August of 1964, the Federal Council finally gave the FFFF the right to build the stadium, they even gave them a really huge piece of land that the state had, near Ferdullaele. On the 20th of November they presented the planes to the FM (Farf Municipality). After lots of inconveniences, the FFFF finally got to start building the stadium. They got the resources from selling diamonds from the diamond mine they had bought back in 1952, foresseing they would need money for the stadium and believing it was the best investment back then. The total cost of the stadium was of about F$100,000,000, back then, the stadium had 90,000 seats.

It would be upgraded to the monstrosity it is much afterwards, in the year 2004, when the amount of football fans grew substantially. Out of 300,000,000 people living in Ferdullaele, approximately 1,200,000 constantly tried to get tickets for Farfadillis' matches, back then playing only minor cups without being a recognized national team. That often made tickets really expensive and almost impossible to get, that's when the FFFF decided to upgrade the stadium to the gargantuan thing it is now. Now having the permission to do what they pleased, they gathered the money to upgrade it in approximately 5 years, they had started gathering it back in 1999. Donations were also needed, with the Farf population happily donating, statistics say that 1 out of 300 Farfs donated for it. The average of a donation was F$10 (approximately 15 dollars). This meant 15,000,000 dollars in donations plus all the money the FFFF had gathered from their mine. Soon, they had enough money to upgrade the stadium, they decided that the optimal number of new seats would be 60,000, effectively making the capacity 150,000. There's much controversy back then on what materials they were going to use, as they couldn't afford much more than pretty average materials, something that Farfs certainly didn't like. Finally, on the 25th of September of 2006, upgrading was over and the I7'snerra was now a juggrnautesque stadium it is now.

The 2nd of October of 2006, the renewed stadium would be inaugurated. It rained that day and there wasn't many people there, but it was a party regardless. The people were happy to have a bigger stadium, this would mean they would have to pay less to assist a Farf match and that they would have more possibilities of getting the tickets. The first match played on that stadium was a demonstration one, between past Farf stars. The teams were "Blue" and "Red", with Blue winning 7-4 on an epic match most Farfs will remember.
The Farf football team would later on sign up for the 60th edition of the World Cup, playing at the Farf I7'snerra officially for the first time. However, the result wasn't good for Farfadillis, they would lose against Darmen 2-1, in a match where both teams could've score more goals, but the posts denied almost every chance. Those qualifyings were a nightmare for Farfadillis, just as expected. Later on they would win their 1st match at the I7'snerra by a 1 goal margin against Tales, the goalscorer would be Matí O'rosso. This would be the only match Farfadillis would win that cycle. On World Cup 61, however, the team would fare really well at the I7'snerra, failing to score only once and losing only once against Cassadaigua, sadly, they lost 8-1 that game, a record. The team would only draw two games at the I7'snerra, lose one and winning five.
The I7'snerra, for short, is Farfadillis' biggest stadium, it can hold up to 150,000 people and is home to the national team. However, the I7'snerra's size backfires in security. The I7'snerra is a good place for hooligans and they do happen to frequent it a lot and the Federal Council just ignores it all the time, as well as the FFFF. So, expect a few shots to be heard ocasionally. Also, the I7'snerra is the second building in the "Top 10 least safe Farf structures" rankings. So, well, your people may fear going into it. Still, it's so big that it can even be considered a tourist attraction, so do consider visiting it for a match or two as a tourist.

19th Century Beards' World Cup 63 squad

Managers
Tom Patedson, 44
Mindougas Gimbiris, 37
Returning from some minor surgery that left him out of the last Campionato Esportiva, Patedson returns to his seat as manager of the 19th Century Beards' football team, for the first time assisted by another. Mindougas Gimbiris, the long serving striker on the national team, who retired last World Cup, was widely expected to be the temporary replacement for Patedson during the Campionato Esportiva IV, but instead went for the unknown John Morris. As repayment for this, he was offered the co-manager position this time around, which he readily accepted.

Squad
No real surprises here, a mixture of young and old which has been known to work relatively well. Some faces return from previous World Cups, others completely new to the international scene. The squad heavily borrows from the Ministry of Finances' team, 8 of the selected 15 coming from them, while no other team has more than a single player coming from them.

I know it may sound ridiculous, but it can prepare you for a distant future when Val Kylx has to retire. It can also help you write a creative RP.

Scrap that, Birolika's idea is awesome.

That might be the first time one of my ideas hasn't been met with the response, "Fine, but where are you going to get all those yaks from?"

Mazion National Association Football Team

Coaching Staff

Eli Beringer - Manager - 44 y.o.
Yves Babineaux - Assistant Manager - 38 y.o.
Roger Beaumont - Goalkeeping Coach - 55 y.o.
Gregoire Michaud - Fitness Coach - 35 y.o.
Phillipe Plourde - Kitman - 59 y.o.
Gervais Perrault - Team Doctor - 51 y.o.

Starting XI

#1 - Paul Martin - Goalkeeper - 6'2" - 164 lbs - 26 y.o.
Goalkeeper for the Mazionite national team, Martin is an imposing figure between the goal posts. He is good one-on-one and versus penalty kicks, but he struggles directing the defense at times. He is quite fiery and has been known to get into arguments with opposing forwards, and sometimes, his own defenders.

#2 - Peter Girond - Sweeper - 6'0" - 150 lbs - 29 y.o.
Girond is the captain of the squad and is a real anchor in the back. A very good tackler who is a tactical genius, many slot Girond to be a future coach for Les Bleus. He is no attacking threat and rarely makes any play around the goal box. He has a pretty good header, but he only uses it for clearing an opposing attack.

#3 - John Hicks - Left Wingback - 6'1" - 157 lbs - 22 y.o.
An offensive-minded wingback, Hicks sometimes neglects his duties in the back. However, he is known for his curling crosses and long strikes that have a penchant for going into the net. He is very quick, but he is kinny, and sometimes gets pushed around by bigger forwards. If Mazion is leading, he is often subbed out for Carpenter, who is a better defender.

#4 - Eric Hart - Right Wingback - 6'0" - 175 lbs - 26 y.o.
A solid player all-around, Hart has no glaring weaknesses, but also no obvious strengths. He makes the occasional run and also takes right-side corner kicks for the team. He is a good tackler, but he is a little slow, and sometimes gets the ball pushed by him by quick strikers. Hart is one of the weaker players in the Starting XI, and some believe that he is merely holding a place for Weber.

#5 - Henry Saylot - Defensive Midfielder - 6'0" - 171 lbs - 28 y.o.
The second oldest player on the team, many analysts describe Saylot as a fourth defender. He rarely attacks the goal except for on corner kicks, but he is a very strong defender and can take on most strikers one-on-one. When Girond retires, Saylot will probably wear the captain's armband.

#6 - Larry Berg - Defensive Midfielder - 6'3" - 184 lbs - 24 y.o.
Playing on the right side, Berg is the tallest player on the team. He is the starting point for most attacks and his passing is superb. He is solid on defense, but not outstanding. He also takes some of the free kicks, usually indirect ones.

#7 - Darryl Soden - Left Midfielder - 6'0" - 168 lbs - 25 y.o.
A rather mediocre player, Soden is often substituted for Krep or Neumann. He does take corner kicks on the left side, but rarely scores, and is often caught too far back. There has been some talk of moving him to defensive midfielder, but so far, nothing has come out of this.

#8 - Guy Bangert - Right Midfielder - 6'1" - 159 lbs - 25 y.o.
Bangert is a true box-to-box midfielder and he shows it on game day. He is one of the fastest players on the team and an artist off of direct kicks. His weakness is defense, but his speed helps to cover any mistakes that he makes.

#9 - Cody Lamprecht - Attacking Midfielder - 6'2" - 163 lbs - 23 y.o.
Quick and shifty, Lamprecht is one of the team's main scorers. He isn't much of a help back on defense, but he has a good head off of corner kicks and is the team's second choice on PKs. He is an above-average passer and has a good relationship with Bachelder.

#10 - Nelson Abbas - Second Striker - 6'2" - 151 lbs - 27 y.o.
The second striker, Abbas is holding a position for one of the younger players. A former phenom, he has faded significantly and has failed to deliver on his talent. However, he can still be counted on to provide a magical strike from time to time when opposing defenses focus too much on Bachelder and Lamprecht.

#11 - Christian Bachelder - Central Striker - 6'0" - 170 lbs - 21 y.o.
The most potent scorer on the team, Bachelder is a young star in the same mold as the Abbas of five years ago. Strong and quick, he has imagination with the best of them and tricks that he invents are performed all over the streets of Mazion. He is the closest thing to a sports hero in Mazion and is considered an a-list celebrity.

Bench

#12 - Peter Votere - Goalkeeper - 6'2" - 155 lbs - 22 y.o.
#13 - Douglas Montague - Defender - 6'1" - 157 lbs - 24 y.o.
#14 - Bernard Carpenter - Defender - 6'1" - 157 lbs - 24 y.o.
#15 - Andrew Weber - Defender - 6'0" - 153 lbs - 22 y.o.
#16 - Gregory Sugrue - Midfielder - 6'2" - 164 lbs - 22 y.o.
#17 -Julian Preusch - Midfielder - 6'2" - 160 lbs - 26 y.o.
#18 - Daniel Krep - Midfielder - 6'0" - 154 lbs - 24 y.o.
#19 - Eric Platt - Midfielder - 6'1" - 158 lbs - 27 y.o.
#20 - Craig Neumann - Midfielder - 6'0" - 150 lbs - 24 y.o.
#21 - Charles Kiyat - Striker - 6'0" - 145 lbs - 23 y.o.
#22 - Maurice Torger - Striker - 6'1" - 166 lbs - 2 y.i.

Formation

The Mazionite team plays a very attacking 3-5-2. In the back is a sweeper, who stays back most of the time and on the sides are wing backs, who often make runs past the midfielders. In the middle are 2 defensive midfielders, flanked by two wingers. Up top is one attacking midfielder. Up front, there is one second striker and one central striker.

Stadium

Mazion National Stadium - 78,000 - 3 y.o.
Only 3 years old, the Mazion National Stadium is a state of the art facility that is used for only association football matches. It is the home of the Mazionite national teams, both junior and senior.

Coach: Jozef Kraszewski

Age: 57
Bio: Jozef Kraszewski was hired after the 61st World Cup due to the firing of the old coach after the terrible Bordurian
performance. He had recently retired as coach of FC Dowek. He hopes that Bordurian will become more than a speck of dust during his time as coach.

The Conclespian National Football Team - "The Schoolboys" - World Cup 63

Image
Et Piilgroms (The Nomads)

Head Coach: Blue Thunder (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 50) - Blue Thunder enjoyed a stellar performance in the World Cup 62 that nearly saw him guide his 162-ranked squad to a first-ever World Cup playoffs, beating sides such as the Polar Islandstates along the way. Now with the full backing of the nation's fans, players and pundits alike, expectations are high as qualification for the playoff rounds or the group stages is the 50-year-old's primary target. Thunder is seen by many as undergoing a switch in his tactical state of mind, sticking to his passing philosophy but introducing a more direct, fast-paced strategy that involves a quicker, less patient build-up and passing at pace within the final third of the pitch. With a revamped and revitalized national team that sees many young talents hailing from the team's Under-21 counterpart, Blue Thunder is hoping to lead the squad on another bid for World Cup qualification.

Style Modifier: +4.0

Starting Lineup:

1, Goalkeeper: Matthew Peterson (Human - Male - Age: 30 - Club: Askern) - The distinguished and internationally renowned goalkeeper of Askern Football Club, Peterson is a goalkeeper known for his athletic and shot-stopping ability as well as his quick reflexes.

3, Leftback: Benjamin Hunslaar (Human - Male - Age: 27 - Club: Silverwich City) - Hunslaar is known for his bursts up the field and is more of a winger than a defender at times; him linking up with Lightning Bolt is often the source of goals as his curling crosses often reach the target man. However, this offensive mindset of his has often left a gap in the defensive wall and this can be a weakness when the team is caught on the breakaway. He plays for Silverwich City FC.

4, Centerback: Thomas Equitar (Human - Male - Age: 26 - Club: Moonich City) - Thomas Equitar almost forms an impenetrable defensive wall when he partners up with Headstrong; known for his strong tackles and ability to read the game, he has often made countless vital interceptions that would have let opposition strikers through on goal.

14, Centerback: Headstrong (Unicorn - Male - Age: 27 - Club: Caislaard) - True to his name, this defender's strength is undoubtedly his aerial ability and he has proven this over and over again for both club and country, his ability immortalized when he charged into the the box during a corner kick and executed a diving header crashing into goal, securing a place in the top four for Silverwich City.

26, Rightback: Jeremy Hunslaar (Human - Male - Age: 27 - Club: Askern) - The younger twin brother of Benjamin Hunslaar, this fullback is the exact opposite of his sibling in terms of playing style, personality and position. In contrast to his brother, Jeremy is known for his quiet and humble personality and his tendency to be reserved in matches and sitting back in defense. However, his commitment to the game is unwavering and he is respected by his teammates for this.

13, Left Defensive Midfield: Daniel Saegerson (Human - Male - Age: 24 - Club: Caislaard) - After being rejected from the youth setup of Silverwich City, Daniel Saegerson was then scouted by Caislaard, and has certainly made the former regret their decision after he guided his club to the 2011-12 FA Cup. Saegerson is nationally renowned for his excellent and searching passes, as well as his great vision which have been the source of many goals for both club and country, with his fantastic performances earning him a spot in the first ever World XI in the World Cup 62. He is expected to lead the up-and-coming "golden generation", with a shift in coaching philosophy in many Conclespian clubs leading to the coming-of-age of many young starlets such as Sandy Steamroller, Fred Watson, and Jason Sevlari.

24, Right Defensive Midfield: Jason Sevlari (Human - Male - Age: 22 - Club: West Lumminense) Bred in the famous Est Schact (literally, "The Barn") academy of West Lumminense FC, this up-and-coming defensive midfielder is one of the most-vied for prospects in the nation, the quick tempo and pin-point accuracy of his passing dictating the pace of the game. Also, his defensive work rate is astounding, and he often stops opposition advances with his strong challenges and harrying of their players, giving deep-lying playmakers such as Daniel Saegerson the time to get their creative juices flowing.

7, Left Attacking Midfield: Lightning Bolt (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 28 - Club: Askern) - True to his name, Bolt is renowned for his quick speed and acceleration, and uses his trickery to get around defenders. He also has a good crossing ability to get the ball into the box, something that his club uses to it's full extent.

10, Center Attacking Midfield: Ryan Cho (Human - Male - Age: 31 - Club: Silverwich City) - Although viewed by many as approaching the twilight stages of his career, both club and country captain Ryan Cho seems more determined than ever to perform in the World Cup 63. After experiencing a stellar 2011-2012 season with Silverwich City, with the club winning the Double with it's first league title in 23 years and wrenching the domestic cup from bitter rivals West Lumminense. After contributing a large amount of assits during the last world cup, his vision and leadership ability, like a fine wine, only seem to get better with age.

11, Right Attacking Midfield: Canyon Storm (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 29 - Club: West Lumminense) - Canyon Storm is a winger known for his excellent ball control and crossing ability as well as his superb finishing, often able to score from 20 yards or more. He often links up with his rightback, Ethan Dunlap, whenever the defender overlaps or gives him options.

9, Striker: Sandy Steamroller (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 21 - Club: Askern) - After experiencing a stellar qualifying campaign and bagging a large portion of his team's goals in the World Cup 62, Sandy Steamroller is the natural choice to lead the line for the 63rd edition of the tournament. Sought out by Askern FC at the age of 8, Steamroller experienced a meteoric rise to fame as he made his debut at a mere 17 years of age, becoming the youngest ever goalscorer for the club when he scored against Silverwich City at 17 years and 278 days. Known for his accurate and fierce shot, this starlet is one of the most valued players in Conclespia, and has already won the Conclespian Footballers' Union Young Player of the Year award, as well as the league title in the 2010-11 season with Askern. Able to use both feet as well as his head extremely well, Steamroller is expected to lead the line for club and country for many years to come.

Substitutes:

18, Goalkeeper: Orange Cider (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 33 - Club: Silverwich City) - The starting goalkeeper for Silverwich City, Orange Cider is known for his easygoing attitude, being the "joker" of the squad, and also his reliability in goal and is a more-than-capable replacement for Matthew Peterson.

3, Leftback: Peter Song (Human - Male - Age: 21 - Club: West Lumminense) - One of the members of "The Toddlers in Town", the nickname given to the current West Lumminense side headed by innovative tactician Colin Town because of the large amount of highly talented, academy-produced young players featuring in the starting lineup. After joining Est Schact at the age of 8, he was promoted to the senior side 10 years later at the beginning of Town's reign in the summer of 2010, earning the praise of manager, pundits and fans alike for his rapid development and meteoric rise to become the starting leftback of the team. Predominantly left-footed, his attacking mindset has drew several comparisons to Benjamin Hunslaar, his counterpart in the senior team, but is also known for his relentless defensive work-rate and speed that gives him the ability to close down any winger, no matter how fast they may be.

5, Right Centerback: Harsh Hooves (Unicorn Pony - Male - Age: 22 - Club: Cottoncurb) - Harsh Hooves has stamped his place into the starting lineup of Cottoncurb after progressing through all of the club's youth teams and is already one of the most feared defenders in the entire Premier League. A part of the highly-defensive and physical 2011-2012 Cottoncurb side that fought their way to the Division Two title and subsequently gaining promotion to the elite tier of Conclespian football, Harsh Hooves is already one of the most feared defenders in the entire Premier League. He is known for his strong tackles, so tough that many of them are on the line between rough and malicious, giving referees an extremely difficult task of handling his challenges. This tournament would be his first major one internationally, and the centerback is looking forward to, hopefully, a great campaign to come.

17, Right Midfielder: Fred Watson (Human - Male - Age: 21 - Club: Silverwich) - Already viewed as a major talent since his academy years, Watson is nationally renowned for his blistering runs down the flanks and his ability to whip immensely accurate crosses into the box. Both a scorer and provider of goals, his understanding with Sandy Steamroller one of the fundamental relationships in the side. After experiencing a breakout campaign in the 62nd World Cup with several excellent displays despite serving a lot of his time on the bench, Watson is expected to further flourish in the 63rd edition of the tournament.

8, Center Midfielder: Thunder Storm (Unicorn - Male - Age: 21 - Club: Silverwich City) - Thunder Storm has matured immensely over the past season, developing into a brilliant creator of goals and often seen as the successor to Ryan Cho as the starting No. 10 of the senior side. After being transferred from Patriarch FC to Silverwich City at the beginning of the 2011-2012, he immediately flourished and experienced a massive improvement in his playing quality because of the club's passing philosophy suiting his style of play. Gifted with a sublime first touch and excellent vision, Thunder Storm is to be the most advanced of the midfield three, taking up the role of playmaker and creator. Only time will tell if he can transfer his club form to the international stage.

6, Center Midfielder: Kirk Vostashi (Human - Male - Age: 17 - Club: Askern) - The youngest member of Blue Thunder's side, the young starlet is known for being a goal-scoring midfielder and is blessed with a ferocious shot, and an ability to use both feet as well as his head. After joining the Askern Academy from Moonich City at the age of 12, Vostashi progressed through the club's youth setup and is one of the rare youth players to make it into the senior squad of Askern FC. With his talents being carefully nurtured and developed by manager Vincent Bordonion, he provided an assist for Sandy Steamroller on his debut for the club, and is expected to perform at the 63rd World Cup.

11, Left Wing: Breeze McMane (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 19 - Club: Silverwich) - Excellent at finding gaps in the defense with his darting runs and uncanny ability to stay off opposition defenders' radar, McMane started his career in West Lumminense before moving over to Silverwich City's youth setup, making his senior debut for the club at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season. After winning the Double with club teammates Ryan Cho, Fred Watson, Thunder Storm, and Orange Cider, his abilities have matured even further and much is expected from him in the World Cup 63.

Permafrost Arena (cap. 55,000) - The home stadium of of Caislaard FC, this resembles a crystal ball at night, a definite landmark of the city. Two huge screens outside the arena provide live coverage of the national team during international friendlies or tournaments and is often a source of hundreds of thousands of supporters watching.

Blacksmith's Cauldron (cap. 87,533) - This historic stadium has become a national landmark, located high in the mountains of the Eastern Lumminent Spur in Silverwich. The ground has served as the home of Silverwich City FC since it's inception in 1882, and it's name comes from the intense atmosphere of the fans and supporters, giving visiting players the sense of being boiled in a cauldron.

ASMV World Cup 63 Roster and Information

Permissions:
You can do anything you like short of killing off players

If anyone would like to RP events that take place on Vegai soil, all you have to do is to let me know. Some areas of the DSE would be off limits to even my own citizens so we just need to clarify the “borders”. At least two story lines (besides my own) will take place on Vegai soil or deeply involve the DSE one way or another in WC62. All you have to do is ask.

I have in the past allowed hotels to be bombed (I think that one involved Atheistic Right, Bazalonia, and Ariddia among others), allowed a refounding of a religious order (Arch), granted permission for stadiums to be blown up (Vilita), and allowed my people’s goddess, The Mitrin Vega, to be used for RP purposes (Wight). Those are but a few examples.

In other words, if you wish to use any Vegai peoples of places in RP, I am open to almost anything. Besides, it gives me new avenues for my own RP to take shape.

Thanks for listening.

Squad Name: Sea Dragons

Home Pitch: Stadii se Draggonnii Arcea
Image

Colors: Deep Sky Blue & Yellow
Image

Style: Tidal Surge 3-2-2-1-2
(-2 defensive)

About the Tidal Surge
The Tidal Surge formation is a hybrid style that makes use of athleticism in key “flex” positions that allow the formation to ebb and flow between styles to take advantage of personnel match-ups and break opportunities. At any point in the match the Tidal Surge can more remind viewers and opponents of a 5-3-2 (most often) or a 3 4-3 (least often) but can usually be found flexing in between those extremes.
Three key positions make this formation work. The offensive midfielder with which everyone is familiar and the two hybrid positions called “UP” backs. These two positions are a direct cross between center midfielders and outside backs. These two positions use athletic ability to move up and down the pitch changing the formation to fit the needs of current needs. Thus at any one moment the formation can resemble anything from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2 creating, quite nearly, the perfect positions for almost any situation.

Other style notes:
“Smashmouth Footy”. That is how the Sea Dragons play when at their best. They prefer the motto “Hit First, Ask Forgiveness Later” and yet they have become adept enough as to remain just on the safe side of the cards so many other squads get. When you play the Sea Dragons two truths are evident - 1: You had better be ready to play tough and 2: you had better be ready for rough play.

Coaching Staff

Manager: Pygan Ust'dar
Sex: M Age: 63 Ht: 6’4 Wt: 185 lbs
Club: Errion Vega F
Hometown: Anberie, ASMV

A hard-nosed manager who knows how to build a championship club - and maintain it as well, Pygan has been asked to return the Sea Dragons to their former defensive glory and put them in position to finally win a World Cup title. Breaking the Sea Dragon tradition of only carrying 15 players, Pygan has assembled 22 of the Empire’s best as he fully expects the cards to come heavy with this group.

Offensive Asst: Soribo Ough'eng
Sex: M Age: 55 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 180 lbs
Club: Carrington A&T University
Hometown: Carrington, Carrington

Soribo has built a collegiate dynasty on defensive play and opportunistic scoring. The latter is something the Sea Dragons will rely heavily upon as they get back to their defensive roots.

Midfield Asst: Cualonii Eld'tia
Sex: F Age: 29 Ht: 5’8 Wt: 142 lbs
Club: Vegai 4th Quad
Hometwon: Vurang, Eversol

Known for her implementation of a transition style and pace in the midfield, Cualonii will be asked to do the same at this level with just three midfielders. Her natural tendency is to have the middies push forward but she will be asked to have them transition back much more often with the national side. Time will tell if she was the right choice.

Defenders Asst: Niguyi Shy'em
Sex: F Age: 61 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 137 lbs
Club: Kura Kurii
Hometown: Aer’Jhana, Kunei

An innovative defensive coach who gets the most from her players. Returning the Up back position to more of a defensive style rather than the midfield help it had recently become will be a huge factor in the squad’s ability to stifle opposing attackers. Niguyi has been known to reward players for exceptionally brutal hits that change the momentum of the match in her favor.

Goalkeeper Asst : Wopiju Ser'age
Sex: M Age: 32 Ht: 6’6 Wt: 200 lbs
Club: Errion Vega University
Hometown: Errion Vega, ASMV

Wopiju is another dynastic college coach and has turned out more professional keepers than most others have players. He will be responsible for making sure his guys know the tendencies and strengths of anyone they face. Allowing goals at all is simply not an option he cares to think about.

The Squad
Indicates Starting 11
indicates Preferred Substitution
Indicates Other Reserves
Indicates Emergency Use Player

Forwards

RS 19 Fylen Kel'tas
Sex: M Age: 28 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 175 lbs
Club: Loire-Mourenx
Hometown: Thinvaux, Mourenx

Fylen Kel’tas. Perhaps the most talented goal scorer in the Empire, he was never given a shot at making the Sea Dragon roster due to the long-standing tradition of bringing up youth players early. With the very best of the young crop now having been dismissed, Ftlen will get his chance and is expected to dominate much the same way as Jonasei Ariq’Alara did during his days.

RS 22 Ekeuli Lor'rilo
Sex: F Age: 25 Ht: 5’5 Wt: 124 lbs
Club: Errion Vega FK
Hometown: Norinii, ASMV

Brilliant in domestic play, it is hoped that her lack of size does not work against her at the international level. She is quick and canny, she will work as a change of pace to Fylen who is a much more technical player.

LS 11 Syrinici Tia'bel
Sex: F Age: 31 Ht: 5’7 Wt: 141 lbs
Club: Malachai Ifreet
Hometown: Ashford, Kelsey

Syri has made a career of banging with the boys on the pitch, giving as many hard shots as she receives. She plays unselfishly and cares nothing for personal glory which makes her ideal for the spot opposite Fylen.

LS 13 Bolexii Pol'age
Sex: M Age: 21 Ht: 6’3 Wt: 197 lbs
Club: Isla De Marte University
Hometown: Stephyk, Acai

A top striker at the collegiate level, Bolexii brings a ton of size to the squad. He plays well with his head which is advantageous on set pieces. Perhaps he can prove himself worthy of a starting position when Syri hangs up her boots.

Midfielders

RM 21 Xataru Enth'umii
Sex: M Age: 23 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 172 lbs
Club: Errion Vega Polii
Hometown: Jumanji, Errion

The two dedicated midfielders are asked to cover a ton of ground and control the middle of the pitch. Xateru can manage just that. Quick and possessing excellent ball skills, he is able to harass opposing players as well as keep the ball when numbers are awful.

RM 03 Laken Kim'athu
Sex: F Age: 19 Ht: 5’11 Wt: 140 lbs
Club: South Beach University
Hometown: Warden’s Reach, Carr

A bit of a phenom, Laken was chosen as an all-Vegai player her freshman year - something that almost never happens. It is hoped that she will learn from Xateru and develop into a shining star fir the national side.

CAM 10 Acaugu Eld'mosu
Sex: M Age: 29 Ht: 6’0 Wt: 201 lbs
Club: Lai-Una Reisi
Hometown: Se Crucide, Misii

Acaugu is cautious as he moves forward to attack. He doesn’t like to leave the middle open but realizes that the two strikers need help sooner than later if they are to score. What he lacks in speed he makes up with text book style play.

CAM 27 Tekegi Ny'et
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 188 lbs
Club: Piossa Juhinx
Hometown: Cyumba, Awesii

The exact opposite of Acaugu, Tekegi is a kamikaze style attacker. Reckless and prone to suspect decision making, he does make up for it with his sheer tenacity and direct approach.

LM 14 Yseelle Tai'ran
Sex: F Age: 24 Ht: 5’7 Wt: 138 lbs
Club: FK Kelsey
Hometown: Summer Hill, Kelsey

The other dedicated middie, Yselle is nearly a mirror image of Xateru in style and ability. Though some may question her inclusion in the starting eleven, her unselfish team play is just what the Sea Dragons need.

LM 20 Estaine Che'ia
Sex: F Age: 20 Ht: 5’9 Wt: 143 lbs
Club: Uza Uzi Sarud
Hometown: Bayt Al Kissaem, Sa Aln

Estaine is a solid player without an ego. In a system that chooses the very best that is a breath of fresh air. While she is unexceptional, she is still very solid and plays like there is no tomorrow.

Defenders

RUB 30 Panirii Ther'tai
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’6 Wt: 215 lbs
Club: Meldinburg UH
Hometown: Meldinburg, Meldinburg

Panirii is unusually large for an up-back. That fact works both for and against him. But with this new Sea Dragon squad’s focus on stiff defense he should shine through with his knack for being in the right place at the right time.

RUB 29 Keyean Ust'kelo
Sex: M Age: 28 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 194 lbs
Club: Carrington FK
Hometown: New Anumia, Carrington

Like Panirii, Keyean is a larger up-back who knows how to use his size to his advantage. He excels playing the ball in the air and is a solid offensive threat on set pieces.

RB 41 Lyxat Im'untu
Sex: M Age: 25 Ht: 6’4 Wt: 208 lbs
Club: Erda Khaza
Hometown: C’tai Thai, Triarii Rivii

Lyx is a Sea Dragon style defender who doesn’t hesitate to knock the opposition off the ball. He is known as a nasty player who doesn’t mind seeing a card flashed in his face. If he could cut those down a bit he would be a true star for the side.

RB 31 Mugak Ban'dyn
Sex: M Age: 31 Ht: 6’1 Wt: 226 lbs
Club: Radience Sarud
Hometown: Barataria, Radience

Mugak is the voice of reason on a back line of brash, hard hitting players that don’t usually ask forgiveness. It is hoped that he can help instill some control into the game of Lyx, but that remains to be seen and he is more than capable of playing well if called upon.

CB 54 Cadye Tas'dyn
Sex: F Age: 24 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 165 lbs
Club: Ominus Hera
Hometown: Maraa, Compar

Cadye is a big girl with a big mouth - and a big game. Still young by international standards she has plenty of room to grow into her potential. Treating the back line like it is a mosh pit is her way of controlling the flow of the match.

CB 38 Ikuno Ina'vor
Sex: M Age: 27 Ht: 6’7 Wt: 231 lbs
Club: Rayor CambraI
Hometown: Morsang, Royan

If you think that Cadye plays to rough, don’t knock her out of the match. Ikuno makes her play resemble a powder puff match. Violent and aggressive in his style, Ikuno is not truly happy until he has bloodied himself - and hopefully someone else in the process.

LB 17 Aldire Kim'kalo
Sex: M Age: 23 Ht: 6’3 Wt: 199 lbs
Club: Sarii Carrington
Hometown: Yagrish, Meldinburg

Aldire is not afraid to bang for position and yet has the skill for a finesse style of play. The combination is deadly and opposing attackers can never truly get a fix on what he will do next. Aldire jut might be the key to the whole damn squad and its success.

LB 40 Xopuxabu Ess'kalu
Sex: M Age: 24 Ht: 6’2 Wt: 212 lbs
Club: Vega Dras
Hometown: Kinterpunt, Nairu

As a former defensive midfielder, Xopu has all the skills needed when pushing forward. But it is when he is dropping back that he is most effective - thus his inclusion as a defender. Xopu uses position over strength to hold his line and that will come in useful as cards take their toll on the rest of the defensive back field.

LUB 36 Kisurano Ar'is
Sex: M Age: 33 Ht: 5’9 Wt: 177 lbs
Club: Shalreix FK
Hometown: Motmardel, Vierzon

Kisurano has a great burst to the ball and a lightening quick first step. He uses that to keep opposing attackers focused too much on keeping the ball and away from trying to push the attck.

LUB 63 Ytiya Ny'kalu
Sex: F Age: 22 Ht: 5’10 Wt: 167 lbs
Club: Thrivist UH
Homrtown: Stratori, Falcione

A year ago Yitya couldn’t read well enough to sign her first contract without an advocate present for her. Now she is learning and the education is doing its job as she understands more each day about just how attackers go about their business.

Goal Keepers

GK 00 Sithias Zyh'athkim
Sex: M Age: 26 Ht: 6’5 Wt: 184 lbs
Club: Turin-Kelsey
Hometown: Zumrutkya, Alariz

The national side just released Sanlioch Bez’al. That tells you all you need to now about Sithias. Easily the third best keeper in the DSE and perhaps the best. Sithias has huge shoes to fill. He should not have a problem filling them.

GK 24 Lijytukii Cha'ina
Sex: M Age: 30 Ht: 6’9 Wt: 257 lbs
Club: EV Sarud
Hometown: Lophai, Qalim

Well seasoned and more than efficient, Lijytukii is a solid back up for the Sea Dragons. He understands the game and loves to watch film on opposing attackers. He knows their tendencies better than they do and uses that to his advantage.

Melbergia
WC 58 Squadlist

Image

Returning after a three tournament absence (Melbergia missed WC editions 60-thru-62), the national side once ranked as high as 132nd in the world seeks to make a solid return to the international scene.

National Coach Lars O'Neill said before heading into the qualification phase of the tournament that for Melbergia, "as ever, the focus is on not finishing bottom of our group. Anything more than that is a bonus. We aim to rebuild here, and hopefully we'll be in a stronger position in 2-3 tournaments' time."
