(OOC: I accidentally edited out my first RP. Presented here is mine for post-MD 3, not post MD 1. Please refer yourself further down to the reposting [actual post] of this RP.)

(OOC: The players talk to each other with their own names, but these are redacted in the interest of the players' safety. Please refer yourself to the opening roster for the full backstory)

"Hey, 71, how you doing now that you've scored again?"

"Pretty good. Nothing wrong with a goal. Thanks for the assist, by the way."

"Hey, just doing my job."

"Hey, man, it was around 65, right?"

"67, to be exact."

"Whatevs."

"What are you thinking about Wight?"

"Hey, beat 'em once, beat them twice, am I right?"

"There's some truth to that, but they are the defending champions, you know."

"Oh wow, that sounds grodie. Naw, man, we beat them. We can do it."

"I'm not saying we can't. I'm just saying long-term empirics are on their side."

"Long term what?"

"Empirics. You know, evidence."

"All right, man. Just use normal talk next time."

"Grammar problems has you?"

"Issues me's be having of lots, yeah."

"Dude, I was joking."

"Aw, really? I thought that's how we were talking now."

*shakes head* "Do you even..."

"Hey, man, just a misunderstanding. That's all."

"Ok. Hey, how's your brother?"

"He's still in the hospital. They say the chemo's working, but I don't know."

"How many rounds has he done?"

"Two so far, but he's only 5. Takes a toll."

"I'm real sorry about that. Hey, I got your back."

"Thanks. I'll let you know."

Strong Start For Syndicatian Under-15's
A promising start in the Under-15 World Championship for The Inevitable Syndicate, with a solid 2-0 win against Northern Sunrise Islands.
The game was played at Alabaster Memorial Field, Vetrerra, and the Sunrise Islands kicked off. Not that many Syndicatians have come to Vetrerra to watch the Under-15's play, due to the recent failures of the national team in the AOCAF 38. That didn't stop the team from playing their best, however, and on the 20th minute, Rhys West pelted a decent goal right past the Northern Sunrise Islands Keeper, bringing the score to 1-0. The Sunrise Islands looked a bit rag-tag, if I had to be honest, but their defence was solid enough to prevent another goal from being scored until the second half.

The second half was where things got interesting. The Sunrise Islands tried to go on an attack, but the Syndicatian defence was just too good, with Bond and Smart providing excellent interception. It was West again, in the 58th minute, that shocked the crowd with a brilliant second goal, and with that the score was 2-0. It remained this way until the end of the match.

All in all, a fantastic start for the Syndicatian Youths. I managed to speak to Rhys West, scorer of both goals, and he had this to say:
Oh my, that was the best game! I've never played international before, and... WE WON! I'm so pleased to be goal scorer, and I really felt my entire team was behind me. We've got great chemistry and I really believe we can go far! Oh, and can I say hello to my mother?

This could be an interesting tournament. Why not jet over to Vetrerra and see how it unfolds? Tomorrow's game is against AO's very own Lymantatia, who seem to be a rather... Attacking bunch. Don't get too confident, Inevitable Syndicate.

Vakolicci start under-15 world championships with easy win

On a rather rainy night in Vettrera, 21000 Vakolicci, by car, foot, helicopter and jetpack, arrived at Capital Plaza to witness what they expected to be an easy, convincing victory for the under-15 team against fellow Silver Isles and sovereign league member Old Beringia.
The adoring crowd was not disappointed as the GVH cruised to a 3-0 win.

From the offset, the mood was not posative. Laurent Zellier, the singer who was appointed to sing the national anthem, did not arrive in time so, to great embarrasment, team captain Blacksen Domination was forced to stand on stage and sing 'as we stand in union.' His beautiful operatic tennor voice roused all, however, and set the mood for what all knew would be a fantastic game of football.

It was the old beringian team who finally kicked off, after a short delay, to the expected growls of the Vakolicci supporters. They were appeased, however, when a volley from Henry Liger hit the unsuspecting hand of Beringian 13-year old centre back Bryce Harper in the penalty area, giving the GVH a second-minute penalty.
Goalkeeper Angello Bardi, mutch to the delight of the crowd, kicked an acrobatic penalty past the despairing dive of luckless goalkeeper Vincent Pane to give the team, which against popular convention wore the tradditional GVH national football team kit of red and green stripes, an early lead.

The solid Beringian defence head firm for the next half an hour before Blacksen Domination decided that enough waiting around was enough and played a fantastic pass out to 'U and M' team-mate Albert Reiner. Reiner made the game look easy as he slotted a neat little tap past Pane and into the Beringian net, to give the Vakolicci a half-time advantage of 2 goals to 0.

After this wonderful start to the game, the fans and media alike were expecting a nice clean game of football in the second half, but the Beringian coaching staff obviously had other ideas, when, only 2 minutes after the whistle for the second half, when Brandon Vicario, the Beringian 11-year-old forward, launched a viscious studds-up kick at the left side of Henry Liger, giving the referee no chance but to give hin an early shower.

With the Beringians down to 10 men, it was all too easy for Mccabe, in the 74th minute, to pass the ball to Domination, only 3 yards from the Vakolicci goal and for Domination to do what he does best: run.
Blacksen Dominations run up to the Beringian goal-line will be recorded as one of the greatest goals in under-15 football history. The beautiful, weaving run made it look as if the 'u and M' winger, and league top scorer, was playing a training match.
Domination showed his contempt for his oposition when, 40 yards from the Beringian goal, he launched into a Vakolicci folk song, and 3 seconds later the obliging tannoy gave him his backing track as he launched the curling shot under Vincent Pane.

After their win over the Equestrian States the coach wanted to say something to them.

"Alright good job guys, next we are going up against Boring Paradise"

"Yuck!" Exclaimed Enrique Gabales

"Hey hey, Enrique we have to show respect, alright?"

"Fine" Enrique responded reluctantly

"I'm not so sure we should show respect" Said Dale Endriotti

"Why not?" Coach Responded

"Why so?" Dale Fired back.

"Because we have to be respectable, and don't talk back to me or else you will be on the bench, do you understand me?"

"Yes sir"

The coach left and a player named Eddie Lawrence said

"You know what? I'm not going to show them any respect, at all"

"Me too" Dale said

Every player agreed...

First Day of U15WC Goes Smoothly

Image
After months of preparation, the first match of the 2nd Under-15 World Championship took place. The nation of Vettrera earned the right to host the event after a 5-1 vote saw the nation of Vettrera most fit to host the tournament. The Valoria Sporting Commission gave little reason as to why they had put together a bid to host the U15WC in the first place, but did say that this would improve Vettrera's tourism industry, and that it could possibly open the door for other international events to be held on Vettreran soil. 4 games took place in each location, all of which going smoothly. The weather was fair at all locations, though there were scattered showers over Cape Marshall, which took place during the Vakolic/Old Berigina game. From a domestic standpoint, The Mini Tempests of Vettrera were able to silence Lymantatia by a score of 3-1 at Alabaster Memorial Field in Hart-Point. Their next game is against Northern Sunrise Islands.

Polkopia Starts Off With A Losing Record

Yesterday, the Allied States of Polkopia faced the Free Swiss States in their first game of the group stage. Along with Haydn, and the Argo Islands, Polkopia and the Free Swiss States are all seeded in Group 2. Polkopia's match was scheduled to play at Alabaster Memorial Field, located in the nation of Vettrera, who is hosting the U15WC. The weather was beautiful, and the field, even more. During the first half, Polkopia was able to secure a early lead, leading the free Swiss States by a 1-0 lead in the first ten minutes, with a goal scored by forward Rostislav Kantrisov. The free Swiss States were able to tie it up in the end of the first half, which led to a 1-1 tie at the half. In the second half, two more goals were scored against Polkopia, making the score 3-1. After a hard-fought battle, Polkopia was unable to climb ahead, having only one goal scored in the second half by forward Immanuil Serevo.

Because of the loss, Polkopia is currently seeded third out of the four groups, trailing behind Argo Islands, and then the Free Swiss States. Captain Rostislav Kantrisov commented on the team's efforts. "The [Polkopian] team fought very hard, but we were unable to pull through. We'll show the other teams in our group that we are fighters, and hopefully, we'll be able to secure a spot in the Round of 16. We can do it. I know we can." He was supported by the rest of the team with a series of appreciative hoots, and positive comments. Today, the Polkopian U-15 team will play Haydn. Will the Polkopian team secure a much-needed win? We'll find out!

Sportage-Your True Quebecois Sports News
Grim Reapers win in U-15 Opener
Gordon Harper-Richelieu

The Royal Kingdom of Quebec Grim Reapers, after their opening match of the Group Stage, seemed to be on fire with their 3-1 victory over Sicoutimont in the 2nd Under-15 World Championship held in Capital Plaza,Vettera.

Last night, Quebec kicked off in the start amongst the packed stadium of 32,000. Despite the Royal Kingdom of Quebec's mixed results in Association Football, which is well explained with the Reserves' catastrophic finish in the Friendly Cup 6 and World Cup 62 but partially compensated with its winning of controversial-Lymantatian Cup, lots of Quebecois still came to the game. According to the Quebecois organisation SportsToTo, about 27,850 of 32,000 people that were in attendance last night were Quebecois.

The expectations were high, and the Grim Reapers did not betray them as Salvatore Castonelli, youngest player on the team with 12 years and a month, scored its first goal on the 22nd minute. The Sicoutian players, who seemed to be outplayed and outpaced right from the beginning, were only able to keep themselves from a scenario even worse by trailing '5-0' in the First half, thanks to lack of effective scoring from our own players.
Nevertheless, Serge Linden of Acadie managed to score with an overhead kick in the 37th minute, which increased the lead to 2-0.

On the second half the Reapers continued to launch their firewagon offense. However, their futility in scoring continued as they scored only 1 goal out of 14 shots. It was at the 76th minute when Riley Johnson scored after dribbling past 6 players(including the goalkeeper).
And at the last minute of the game, the Quebecois players were mostly in victory. However, an unfortunate incident happened when Eugene Cohen, believing that the match was over, scored to our own net. It would've been fine if the final whistle was blown for us. However, it didn't and it turned out to be that our Eugene Cohen, one of the nation's most promising prospects, scored an own goal!
"It was misfortunate," said Adrien Marchand, who witnessed this right in front of his eyes,"But that's OK since we won nevertheless. Nevertheless, Eugene and the defense did the best of their efforts so we don't have to worry about that."

Vakolicci come from behind to defeat Estoppe

It was a beautiful, sunny day, uncharictaristic for this time of year, at Le Palais stadium, as the under-15 team representing the greater vakolicci haven made it 2 from 2.

From the start, it was rather clear that something was wrong for the Vakolicci. Laur Mccabe, who's side had been injurred in the game at Old Beringia, had demanded the right to play in the next game, and it was true that her technical skill at the back was unmatched.

However, her speed and movement was hampered by the injury and she made it possible for the first goal to slot easily past her.

Mccabe's timing was also wrong, as she launched a studds-up fowl on striker Max Demeine, who had to be stretchered off.
Following angry jesticulations and clenched fists from manager Giancarlo Paterel towards the presiding referee, no penalty was awarded against Mccabe.

With the Vakolicci 2 goals to the want at half time, Manager Paterel and captain Domination had to work out a solution. The decision to bring Laura Mccabe off was expectable, however her replacement was not. Jean D'ran, the 12-year old Lyon forward, came on to replace Mccabe and bolster the attacking threat of the red and greens.

His affect was emmediate, as he whipped a viscious pass to the feet of Blacksen Domination, who left the defence and goalkeeper for dead as he casually slotted the ball into its propper place, reducing the defecit.
Now it was the turn of Albert Reiner to wheave some magic, when, in the 88th and 91st minutes, when the game looked dead, headed in too fantastic volleys to award his nation another 3 points.

Second Win for Inevitable Syndicate
DuPont Stadium, VETRERRA---- The Inevitable Syndicate have just chalked up a second win in the Under-15's World Championship against Atlantian Oceania's very own Lymantatia, bringing them to the top of their group. The game began at a reasonable rate, with Rhys West doing what he does best and scoring 2 goals in the first half, in the 24th and 37th minutes. Syndicatian defence wasn't as good as it could have been, as Edward Johnson of the Lymantatian team blasted a goal past our own Terry Scott. This is the first time he's conceded a goal at international level, but nobody really minds too much, as it didn't cost us the game. Maybe Dominic Archer could learn something from Scott's play?

The second half was a repeat of the first, and the Syndicatian team had control of the ball most of the time. West scored another goal in the 52nd minute, and even Katie Hall managed to make her way up the Pitch and score a goal in the 63rd minute. Johnson of Lymantatia scored again, exploiting Scott's weak points. Nothing much happened after this, and the final score was 4-2 to the Inevitable Syndicate.

Our next match is against hosts themselves Vetrerra. Manager Karen Darvill claims to be very nervous, and hopes we can win to show people how our kids play football. I for one think we'll do fine, and either way, we've gotten through to the round of sixteen. The only way is up for The Inevitable Syndicate.

Under-15's Go Three For Three, Advance To Next Round
Capital Plaza, VETRERRA---- The Inevitable Syndicate Youth Team does it again, with another brilliant win in the Under-15's world Championship. This game was against hosts Vetrerra, and they proved to be a formidable opponent. But not formidable enough, as Karen Darvill said right after the game. The Syndicatians smashed the Vetrerrans right out of their home stadium, with a fantastic 5-2 win!

Vetrerra kicked off in the first half, and seemed to be very attacking, probably because they wanted to defend their home ground. But the Syndicatians proved the best offense is a good defence and within minutes the control of the ball had been switched back to us. Rhys West did his thing again, and belted some fantastic shots past the Vetrerran keeper, Manuel Rivera, and right into the back of the net. West scored two goals, in the 33rd and 42nd minutes. The opponents must have gotten angry with this, however, as our superstar goalscorer was tackled badly and ended up being carted off the pitch in the 44th minute. We predict he's going to be out for a game at least. 12 year old Martin Laurence was to blame, and as a result, he got a yellow card. The Inevitable Syndicate replaced West with Carol Ward.

The second half began, and Robert Morgan was not going to let his team-mate's injury go unavenged. He managed to brutally push right through Vetrerra's defence, and shoot three fantastic goals into the net in the second half. Unfortunately, this offense left the Syndicatian team wide open for attack, and Vetrerra's star striker Maria Shapiro scored two goals in the 49th and 61st minutes. The game ended with a win for the Syndicate, at 5-2.

And with that, we advance into the round of sixteen, as the absolute best team in the competition. Anyone facing out youth team will probably be crippled with fear, and they probably should be. These kids haven't let up, and as a result, their morale has been fantastically high. We can definitely see Morgan & West making the national team proper when they get older. Don't discount the others though, as our defenders have been a vital part of the team, making sure the opponent doesn't get near our goal. Overall, fantastic job guys, everyone here is rooting for you in your next match, versus Boring Paradise at DuPont Stadium.

U15 Team Off to a Better Start than Expected

Laiyenda's Under 15 team has exdceeded expectations according to many people on the streets of Maide.
This, of course, is a little odd considering the team is 1-1-1 after matchday 3. Most citizens said they had expected an 0-3 team due to this being these kids first time playing in an international competition. In fact this team is the nations first team EVER to go international.
Either way it's all summed up by one comment made by a pedestrian outside the teams main stadium: "Win or Lose this team is full of kids who will remember this for the rest of their lives, and we should be proud of them for their patriotism and dedication to this sport

Skeleton team struggles against Skuldafntania
The under-15 Vakolicci football team were reminded of the lack of depth in there squad, as, when Domination, Liger, Mccabe, Dalana and Pian were all rested.
It seemed as if the new-look team would fit the bill as goalkeeper Angello Bardi placed a cool, casual shot past the unsuspecting goalkeeper.

However, in the 23rd minute, the rather bumbling Eastern fire of Caldonaris striker Richard Crost let lose with a flying taikwondo kick at the head of the Skuldafntanian left-back, requiring him to be stretchered off the pitch, and, despite the violent worlds of Alberto Paterel, Crost had to be dismissed.

The resulting free kick was too high and too fast for Angello Bardi, and the ball violated the Vakolicci net.

The second half was rather quite and uneventful, with the score staying at 1-1, and despite the booing and jeering of the Vakolicci fans, the score stayed the level.

Vakolicci ready for Sicoudimont clash

Vakolicci under-15 captain Blacksen Domination today told Della Barecci news that his team are "Ready and willing," to face Sicoudimont in the last 16 of the under-15 world championships, but warns that the team must improve its performance if it wants any hope of a win in the competition.

Mr. Domination, 15, also warned "I hope that the authorities in Vettrera will be able to deal with 25000 Angry well-trained Vakolicci if we lose. When we under-achieve, the other team must face the fans. That's how it goes.
I don't like it, I quite frankly think it's rather pathetic, but that's what will probably happen."

Following there lackluster performance against Skuldafntania, Manager alberto Paderel has decided to name a full team, complete with international names.

Inevitable Syndicate Play It Down To The Wire
DuPont Stadium, VETRERRA---- A beautifully close game was played today by the Inevitable Syndicate in the Under-15's World Championship. Nobody knows for sure if the ghosts of DuPont Stadium were to blame, or the absence of star player Rhys West due to injury. Either way, this has proved to be the closest game the youth team has ever played. The game kicked off, and we started strong, keeping good possession of the ball. Morgan didn't seem to bring his A-game to this game, possibly due to his best friend being sat on the sidelines. This didn't stop reserve superstar Carol Ward from playing fantastically - scoring a goal in the 35th minute, even though the defence of our opponents, Boring Paradise, was solid throughout. Boring Paradise also scored during the first half.

Second half was much the same, but this time our goal was scored by Midfielder Douglas Swire. Swire has been playing really well these past few games, but nobody really thought he had it in him to go on the attack and belt a fantastic goal right into the back of the net. Syndicatian defense was bypassed once again shortly after this, and Boring Paradise knocked another goal in. Things were getting tense all around the stadium, as the game was tied.

Extra time began, and the score hadn't moved a centimetre. The Syndicatians kept their defence, and it was enough to prevent anyone from scoring. This meant only one thing. Penalties. This is something the youth team had prepared for, but this was the first time they'd done it for real. The first Syndicatian Penalty was taken by Isaac Murray. He missed. Boring Paradise made a shot... And that shot went right past Terry Scott's face. 1-0. Things were heating up. Robert Morgan took the next shot. It sailed beautifully into the goal. 1-1. It was all tied up until the last shot by each team. Our youth team made a rather odd decision at this point, and sent thirteen year old Left Back Sophie Smith up to take the shot. We weren't too sure if the team was being cruel or giving her a chance... But boy, what a good choice it was. She shot. I closed my eyes. By the time I'd opened them, cheers were erupting across the stadium! She had scored! This bought the score up to 2-1, but Boring Paradise still had another shot to make.

And they made it.

But Terry Scott made sure he wasn't going home, and in a brilliant dive, saved the ball from hurtling towards doom.

That's us into the Round Of 8. Here's hoping our match against Kintrartar isn't as close as this one. This match showed the Syndicatian Youths what happens if you get too cocky, and luckily they didn't pay the price for it. Best of luck in the next match, team!

FINAL SCORE: The Inevitable Syndicate 2-2 Boring Paradise (2-2 AET, 2-1 PKs)
