Her Excellency's Central Crown Colonial State Of Danaelia Association Football Team

Information
Following a disappointing campaign in the Baptism Of Fire 48 which saw group rivals Zadistan finishing as the Baptism Of Fire 48 champions and with the very own Danaelia crushing out of the tournament in the Round of 16,Danaelia has dampened hopes of out casting Mapletish in their Baptism Of Fire 48 records.Angelina was hit hard by the the defeat in the Round Of 16 but she vowed to come back stronger in the World Cup 61 Qualifying rounds with at least a higher than bottom spot to ensure that her efforts from building the squad from bottom up is not affected by the tragedy that happened in the Baptism Of Fire.Hopes to finish with a respectable position and qualify for the Cup Of Harmony are out lingering in everybody's minds.

Slembana's squad

After good campaigns in the regional cup and an invitational cup, we're in the World Cup! The Slembana Times will give you the inside on our squad.

Starting 11
Goalkeeper: Toby Gapman

Age: 30

Caps: 5

Goals: 0

Clean sheets: 2

Birthday: 29 August 1981

Toby is an experienced goalkeeper, and has gained 5 caps since we started playing football last month. He was our main goalie at the Renaissance Cup, and despite only keeping two clean sheets, is a reliable goalie. He plays for Bafilo United, our most successful team.

Right-back: Callum Potts

Age: 32

Caps: 7

Goals: 0

Clean sheets: 1

Birthday: 28 July 1980

Callum is another oldie, celebrating his 32nd birthday last week. He played in the King James Invitational Cup, and was not really a key player, but he did is bit as we secured third place.

Centre-back: Gavin Stockwell (captain)

Age: 36

Caps: 5

Goals: 0

Clean sheets: 2

Birthday: 1 August 1976

Yet another golden oldie is our inspirational captain, Gavin Stockwell. He captained us at the Renaissance Cup, and has been picked as captain here. The 36 year-old has been playing pro football for 19 years!

Centre back: Don Adobe

Age: 20

Caps: 7

Goals: 1

Clean sheets: 1

Birthday: 25 February 1992

Finally, a youngster! 20 year-old Don Adobe captained us to third place at the King James Invitational Cup, and is well respected. He is very mature for his age, and is "delighted" to line up alongside legendary captain Gavin Stockwell here.

Left back: Norris Rawlinson

Age: 32

Caps: 3

Goals: 0

Clean sheets: 2

Birthday: 19 January 1980

Back to the oldies - 32 year-old Norris Rawlinson is our first choice left-back, despite only starting three of the five internationals he's been eligible for. Norris was bullied at school for being a ginger, but has fought back to become of the world's best left-backs.

Right winger: Finlay Yalnif

Age: 27

Caps: 5

Goals: 0

Birthday: 21 April 1985

Finlay is a speedy winger who knows his tricks. He has not scored in any of his five internationals so far, but has three assists to his name, showing that is not just a useless piece of nothing. He is smiley, and loves to play.

Centre midfielder: Jyvx Dagens

Age: 17

Caps: 5

Goals: 1

Birthday: 19 December 1994

Jyvx is a young, attacking midfielder. He has black skin, and has been racially abused before. He has scored one international goal (in a 1-1 draw with Cyborg Holland in the King James Invitational Cup), and is famous for his deadly free-kicks.

Centre midfielder: Follin Maxet

Age: 23

Caps: 7

Goals: 0

Birthday: 24 July 1989

Just like his midfielder partner Jyvx Dagens, Follin has black skin and starred in the King James Invitational Cup. He has set up four international goals in his seven international appearances, but hasn't scored yet. Despite being classed as a defensive midfielder, you can see that Follin also has an attacking side through four assists in seven games.

Left winger: Yuppë Tárnix

Age: 24

Caps: 2

Goals: 0

Birthday: 23 July 1988

Yuppë may be considered as an unusual choice, as he didn't play in either the King James Invitational Cup or the Renaissance Cup. He has only gained two caps as a result, but he will be hoping to set up some goals here.

Striker: Val Kylx

Age: 17

Caps: 6

Goals: 8

Birthday: 3 August 1995

Val can easily be called our best player, as he has scored eight goals in six games. Despite us being in a tough group, he is expected to score lots in qualifying. He won the best player award at the King James Invitational Cup. His real name is Chindival, and whenever his classmates at school called him that, he got angry with them.

Striker: Jarod Vale

Age: 24

Caps: 5

Goals: 1

Birthday: 18 July 1988

Jarod will be the strike partner to the brilliant Val Kylx here in the World Cup qualifiers. His strike ratio is much less impressive than Val's - only one goal in five games. He will be hoping to boost his goals in the qualifiers.

Other squad members:

Goalkeepers: Kevin Banks and Josh Pitbull
Right-back: Tom Iflon
Centre-backs: James Bareman and Dennis Valfern
Left back: Nelson Fernandez
Right-winger: Olajide Tamerik
Centre midfielders: Val Slistick and Dominic Halmez
Left-winger: Javo Jexa
Strikers: Haydn Golpix and Xavier Reivax

Home stadium (capacity): Royal Slembanan Stadium (136,914)

RP Permissions:

Choose my goalscorers: Yes

RP injuries to my players: No

Godmod injuries: No

Issues yellow/red cards to my players: Only yellows. And make sure my players don't get suspended due to two yellow cards in two consecutive games, five yellows, ten yellows, two yellows in one games, etc.

Godmod events: No

Stadium Information

Image
Name: The Equestria Dome
Location: Canterlot, Equestrian States
Capacity: 87,500
Short Description: The Equestria Dome is the largest stadium in the Equestrian States and is located in the capital city of Canterlot. With the rapid growth of Canterlot in recent years and the increasing popularity of the city as a tourist destination for sports and other reasons, the National Equestrian Sports Council decided to expand upon the Equestria Dome’s original 75,000 seats. The result was a 12,500 seat increase to accommodate the waves of fans that descend upon the stadium on a regular basis. The Equestria Dome is the home of many of the Equestrian States’ national sports teams as well as several local Canterlot teams.

RP Permissions
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes
Godmod scoring events: Yes
RP injuries to my players: Yes – Nothing that would keep a player out for more than one match
Godmod injuries to my players: No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes – Max: 3 per match
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes – Max: 1 per match
Godmod other events: No – Unless you have TG permission (which I will mention as a not in my RPs)
Other Notes: Yes, you are expected to RP sapient ponies, dragons, griffons, and buffalo, some of which have the ability to fly or use magic. If you don’t like that, then don’t mention the species or race of my players. If you are open to the idea, then have fun explaining how Fire Dash used his wings to give him extra speed on a breakaway that led to a goal (or a save). As long as you don’t do anything stupid that I wouldn't approve of, like portraying my team as dumb farm animals or humans, I’m sure that we’ll get along just fine.

The Iturributa National Football Team

Style: +2
Colours

Manager - Aiza Sein
Wily 75 year-old Aiza Sein is likes his football expansive and offensive, and having made Iturributa United one of the strongest teams in Astograth during their time in the First Division he was a natural choice for the national team. Got a decent fifth-place finish in the last qualifiers, but unless he delivers similar or better his time at the helm could well be over.

Starting XI:
(Ages accurate of Champions' Cup 41 final)

#1 - GK - Zernin Aira (C) - Age 33 - Sporting Iturributa - 22 caps, 34 goals conceded, 5 clean sheets
After a long spell at Erathi giants Royal Vosaroni Antenelli, one of the most capped players for Astograth is back home and leading his newly-formed country on their first few outings of World Cup football; this will be Aira's seventh on the trot. He was a constant at Olibondeka from the very beginning thanks to his outstanding skills and commanding behaviour.

#2 - LB - Cherran Zarranz - Age 32 - Image Pradera FC - 28 caps
A tenacious left-back hailing from the Racing Club sector of Iturributa, with a successful spell at Sporting seeing him get called up for the Cuppet and duly earn his runner-up medal. At Pradera FC of the Valladar Super League, best in the world according to the latest UICA rankings, Zarranz has suffered a slight dip in form due to the shift, but he is still a cut above any other Iturributan down the left wing.

#4 - CB - Sotil Burruchaga - Age 31 - Sporting Iturributa - 20 caps
Pinched from Royal Association and perfected at Sporting's prolific school of defenders, he adapted to the Chevrons' first team without a problem and makes his presence felt with size and grit. He's not fast at all, which can make counter-attacks costly, but was a mainstay of the Astograthian national team and has developed an excellent understanding with keeper Zernin Aira that carries over to Sporting and their new national side.

#14 - CB – Tartalo Maruri - Age 32 – Iturributa United - 20 caps, 2 goals
One of United's oldest and most decorated players, with multiple titles, cups, awards and a Champions' Cup runner-up medal to his name; Maruri is a shining example of loyalty if not consistency, though his recent club performances indicate he has finally stabilised as a top defender. It doesn't help the national team that he is often a pivotal figure in the Iturributan Derbies, with disciplinary issues that have led to several clashes with his teammates from Sporting Iturributa.

#12 - RB – Ixona Zarrasbeitia - Age 23 - Sporting Iturributa - 19 caps, 1 goal
Another bright young defender product of the Sporting academy, Zarrasbeitia has replaced Eneko Dorregaray as the Chevrons' right-back and could be achieving great things with the national team in a not-so-distant future if he manages to cement his place as starting right-back over Luk Merbilha. He isn't short on quickness or endurance, at least.

#6 - DM – Agoztar Gorstiaga - Age 27 - Image Angels - 20 caps, 1 goal
Gorstiaga has shown his quick feet and pinpoint passing throughout the world, winning a KPFA league title after being snapped up by Zhevassi after Di Bradini Cup 18, going on to win much more with FKM (including the UICA Champions' Cup) and taking part in two World Cup qualifying campaigns, reaching the finals in the second of these. Provides a better playmaking presence than Legeren and though defending isn't his strong suit, he doesn't think twice about recklessly throwing himself to the ground to recover the ball.

#7 - LM – Zuzen Barta - Age 29 – Image Northbrook Diamonds FK - 19 caps, 3 goals
A quick little devil who rose through the ranks of Iturributa United and the Astograth U21 national team, competing in three Di Bradini Cups before earning a place in the teams that reached the finals of World Cup 57 and 59. Brings his talent to Iturributa now, capable of splitting open any defense with a mazing run.

#20 - RM - Leizarraga Lukuix - Age 27 - Image Astograth University - 28 caps, 3 goals
One of the lesser-known members of the team, surprisingly handed a starting spot. Diametrically opposed to Barta in that he doesn't go for the run or dribble as much as he recovers the ball, beats the defender with a sudden sprint and crosses early to beat the offside trap. Rose from the modest Athletic Club Olarria to the previously-modest Astograth University, who are now constantly in the running for a First Division title to cement their place.

#18 - LCF - Artzeiz Zornoza - Age 34 - Image AS Bezieres - 21 caps, 11 goals
He doesn't really know how to build up an attack, but can finish like the best of them. Blessed with an exceptional first touch, Zornoza jumped straight from the Astograthian second tier to the highly-rated Valladar Super League. He took Eterna Stars to an unlikely title and earned his place in Olibondeka, with whom he went to two World Cups and won Cup of Harmony 50; now he is one of Iturributa's top scorers, perhaps their most beloved player, and a Cygnus Cup champion with Bezieres. He has already announced that due to his age this will be his last competition with the national team, but is still prepared to give it everything.

#10 - CF - Kauldi Isasmendi - Age 27 - Image Echegoyan FC - 21 caps, 12 goals
A striker with plenty of future at Astograthian title contenders Echegoyan FC. Fairly mobile and not lacking in nerve, but excess in the dribble means he can miss the chance to score or assist a teammate. Put in a few brilliant games at the Baptism of Fire, and is temporarily the national team's top scorer, but is quite desperate to turn into the team's star player. His tepid rivalry with Boneta could yet escalate, as they each try to one-up each other on the pitch in a bid to be the better forward.

#9 - CF - Emenon Boneta - Age 29 - Freedom FC - 20 caps, 8 goals
Loyal to the bone, hasn't ditched his club despite long years in the Astograthian second tier and lavish offers from above. Finds himself within a dream come true, representing Iturributa alongside the man whom he succeeded at club level, Artzeiz Zornoza. Strong, cheerful and determined, you can never count out Boneta when he's on the pitch; especially if Isasmendi's arrogance is there too, spurring him to excel.

Substitutes:

#13 - GK - Alaon Larraza - Age 30 - Iturributa United - 6 caps, 6 goals against, 2 clean sheets
#23 - GK – Yoritz Zarazua - Age 33 - Sporting Iturributa - 9 caps, 11 goals against, 5 cleans sheets
The reserve keepers of the two top sides have played for Iturributa at the Cuppets, but are now hopelessly eclipsed by Aira. Both are proven keepers with plenty of experience at smaller teams, but lack the regularity to challenge for a starting spot.

#3 - LB – Burutzagi Narbarte - Age 30 – Iturributa Racing Club - 13 caps
Narbarte has had a very eventful career despite never cementing himself, making appearances for Urbizania Wanderers, briefly for Ituraitz FC, at Citiz side High Groth Athletic in a confusing transfer ordeal and going down to the second tier with Ximun Orieta FC before being snapped up by his current Iturributa Racing Club. Isn't very technical at all, but at this point knows every trick in the book and can be relied on to dispossess wingers; doing something clever with the ball afterwards is another matter.

#19 - CB - Eusko Kuruchet - Age 28 - Image Sparta F.C. - 11 caps
Kuruchet left Iturributa at a young age to pursue a career in the distant Taeshani league; following meagre results with Al Haxire he left for the much stronger Sparta F.C. and has become one of the most emblematic foreign players in the country. Hasn't always met expectations when putting out for the national team, but Aira has faith and he can yet improve.

#5 - CB - Mikel Aluztiza - Age 22 - Sporting Iturributa - Uncapped
One of the standout players of Sporting's double-winning side at only 21, Aluztiza has all the makings of a Sporting-brand defender: a smart, tactical mind, good feet, discipline and iron will. One to look out for when he gets playing time.

#8 - RB – Luk Merbilha - Age 33 - Iturributa United - 13 caps, 1 goal
Came through at Echegoyan FC and was a vital part of their rise up the Astograthian First Division table before leaving to join United, where he struggled to adapt but has now cemented himself as a regular. Age plays against him, what with Zarrasbeitia on his heels, but his hefty experience keeps him in the running.

#15 - DM – Zorion Legeren - Age 33 - Image SK Franz Josef City - 16 caps, 2 goals
A product of the Spoting academy; smart, level-headed centre midfielder who currently plies his trade in one of the Polarian league's top teams. Can be accused of not covering enough ground and not diving in with the tackle when necessary, but he is a valuable asset going forwards, pinpoint passes and quick dribbles allowing him to move right up to the box. Rotates plenty with Gorstiaga, affording more muscle to the midfield.

#21 - LM – Sandaili Iturraspe - Age 28 – Iturributa United - 12 caps, 1 goal
#16 - RM - Altzibar Salutregi - Age 22 - Sporting Iturributa - 10 caps, 1 goal
Bench players at their respective clubs without much of a presence at international level, though Salutregi has played for Astograth at the Campeonatos Rushmori de la Juventud. Iturraspe is a utility player, capable of occupying the whole left wing or even going down the middle as attacking midfielder. Salutregi is a more traditional winger, cutting into the box with speed and dribble as opposed to Lukuix's lethal crossing.

#22 - LCF – Zilar Oramuno - Age 30 – Iturributa United - 8 caps, 1 goal
#17 - CF - Tibalt Kereyasu - Age 29 - Image Blue Mountain Range - 12 caps, 3 goals
#20 - RCF – Orzaize Lizaran - Age 29 - Image Willingham FC - 3 caps
Three average strikers with some redeeming qualities that justify their inclusion in the squad, though Sein should perhaps consider if Iturributa's talent pool is large enough to have three forwards. Oramuno has a physical presence and lots of winning experience following a great spell at Ituraitz FC, Kereyasu has been included instead of Meabe Bastida after some decent seasons for Gesterlake FC and Blue Mountain Range; Lizaran is a prominent player in the up-and-coming Gordonopian league, capped at the First World Cuppet several years ago.

Captain: Zernin Aira
Free Kick Taker: Leizarraga Lukuix
Penalty Taker: Artzeiz Zornoza
Right Corner: Zuzen Barta
Left Corner: Leizarraga Lukuix

All of the Free Republic's home matches will be played at the 72,000-seater Old City Stadium in Iturributa's eponymous capital city. The stadium is large, lively and full of tradition, serving as the home ground of both Iturributa United and Sporting Iturributa; the expectation to see the national team play is enormous, so oversold games shouldn't come as a surprise.

YES to all RP permissions, barring any career-ending incidents. If you have any questions about anything, please do TG this nation or Astograth.

Carmadin National Football Team

Coaching and Management:
Manager: Dowv Daz, Kihxaw Jahp, Vehchowng I
Assistant Coaches: Cheeshoosh Shaeh'h

Goaltenders:
Starter:
Raehzoys Ohcheht (Tim City Cyber Rays)(Darmen)

After spending years and campaign upon campaing in the Shadow of now-manager Kihxaw Jahp, Raehzoys is ready to become the next big wall in net for Carmadin. The question is-can he fill Kihxaw's boots?

Backup:
Kaehdur Maehkur (Abo Abo)

Defenders:
Starters:
Cheh Tom Jaht Kaeh (Arksin Football Club)
Ohlaht Chehsheht (Northeastern)
Zwejoyj (FC Charge)
Kohchehmj (Sho Athletic Club)

A formidable foursome will look to support Raehzoys however they can, and will be known quite well for their offensive defending tactics.

Backups:
Hehp Poch'tkh (Abo Abo)
Sahlohm'n aht Vehrohn (Cahrsinleh Devils)

Midfielders:
Starters:
Xer Xán (Tim City Cyber Rays)(Darmen)
Chehri (Abo Abo)
Ohlahp Tehn (Northeastern)
Dasur Tomah (Seendok Shells)

Xer Xán is undeniably the big, goalscoring star of this team, but his powerful foot will have the backup help of three other excellent midfielders in Chehri, Ohlahp Tehn, and Dasur Tomah.

Backups:
Pohcheht Maehdur (Elcahnd Heat)
Kohleet Shaekh'zheht (Chahr North Stars)

Forwards:
Starters:
Heht Nihk (Abo Abo)
Mahfrehkt (Seendok Shells)

Mahfrehkt's single name and powerful foot makes him the more famous of the two, but don't underestimate Heht Nihk. Nihk's passing and finishing ability make these two a dynamic duo indeed.

Backups:
Ahnger (FC Charge)

Tactics!

The Carmadin game can be called "a mashed-up hodge-podge" of stratigies. Expect the defense to continue Guh Thi Nurng's physical traditions (Guh retired from Vliegende Beigners FC as the most carded player in the Chenkoryan league), but the midfield and offense play a beautiful, spread out game, marked by precise passes and a flowing style of play.

Carmadin adds new life to the rather mudane 4-4-2 they play in:

Nihk              Mahfrehkt

Xán Chehri Tehn Tomah

Kaeh Chehsheht Zewjoyj Kohchehmj

Ohcheht

Stadia
Carmadin's Home Matches will be held at venues across the Nation:

Main Venue: Carmadin Park

Carmadin Park, the National Stadium, holds 102,332, making it one of the Largest Stadiums in Rushmore. Expect it to be loud, rowdy, and have an amazing atmosphere. It is a quality example of world-renowned architects Bright New World's work

Image

Secondary Venue: Stadium by the Sea
The architectual masterpiece of a 31,000 seat stadium is a magnificent building, as well as playing host to the best team in Carmadin football, the Seendok Shells.
As the name may suggest, the Stadium is built on the beach, very near to the waterline. On the side facing the water, at center pitch, a glass wall shows a stunning view of the beach and the ocean. The wall is very slightly elevated off the ground, meaning that at high tide, the water will enter the stadium itself, and, through a series of carefully built ditches and barriers around the field, the ocean surrounds the pitch, quite literally making it an island. This is definetly the most exciting, most breathtaking stadium in the world. It's ready to host some exciting, breathtaking football!

Third Venue: Stade de Abo
In the famous province of Abo, smack in the center of the country, the Stade is a vintage example of a stadium for a vintage example of a world cup.

Leorudian Roar A.F.C.
World Cup 61 Roster and Information
Image

Stadium: Leorudian Olyimpic Stadium
The Leorudian Olyimpic Stadium is a brand-new, state-of-the-art football stadium built in the middle of the Leorudian Capital District. It can hold 96,300 people and it has held no games so far. The first game is sold out.
Photo:Image

Manager: Sam Orlandus
Sam Orlandus is a manager who is a veteran of the game. He managed a Leorudian college club for years, and the creation of the club was a perfect oppurtunity for him to manage on an international scale.

Style Modifier: -2.64

Name-Position-Fifa Rating-Age
Starting Roster
Scena Tartarus-Keeper-91-24
Scena Tartarus is quite possibally the best goalie Leorudo has ever seen. Only 24, he has blocked uncountable shots and
saved uncountable failed coverages. This man makes Leorudo a defensive club.
Photo(before the start of the AOCAF):
Image

Juan Rojas-Defender-87-26
Juan Rojas is a very important piece of the Leorudian Defensive stance. He is great for defending the player on a run, and he also is great for stopping rebound shots.
Photo(on the Right):
Image

Donald Freedman-Defender-85-29
Donald Freedman is a pain the play agianst. He can make even the best forward have a bad day when he is playing well. He is also a member of the defensive side that has held clubs ranking from Vilitia to 95X to scoring few if any goals in AOCAF play.
Photo:
Image

Shaun Delrose-Midfielder-85-35
Shaun Delrose is a defending midfielder. He is the captain of the team. He is the oldest of the team. He is the mentor. While he is not as good as he was in his prime, his mental presence can inspire anyone on the team to explode onto the game's scene at anytime.
Photo:
Image

Carlos Azulis-Striker-83-20
Carlos Azulis is the upcoming star in the club. He is very young and quite raw when it comes to the international stage. Right now is not his time, but who knows? He can shoot at a basic level, and he can nail a penalty. He really needs time to learn.
Photo:
Image

Leonardi Opladious-Midfielder-82-25
Leonardi Opladious, or the "Pride of Leorudo", as he is known by the Leorudian fanbase, is a kid who grew up in the local Leorudian city streets. He became known by the locals for being in almost every pickup game from when he was a kid up until a local scout selected him to try out for the new club. Playing on the city streets gave him a physical mentality that he carries with him today. He is a hell of a player.
Photo:
Image

Brendan Kiernan-Midfielder-79-26
Brendan Kiernam is your textbook midfielder. He does not really excel at anything, but he can pass, shoot, dribble, and defend at a consistant level that is needed to keep this team anchored to their defensive base.
(No photo avalible)

Jim Fenlon-Forward-78-30
Jim Fenlon is a forward that cannot shoot to save his life. While this is a needed trait for most forward, Jim makes his money off of passing. He can pass to anyone, anywhere. Him and Luke Moore are a good pair because of Luke's quick foot a and Jim's quick pass. This is a duo that will catch you off guard if your not prepared.
Photo:
Image

Luke Moore-Forward-76-23
Luke Moore is a player that is not unfamiliar with scoring goals. Though not the greatest passer, he can put a ball in the back of the net in a blink of an eye. He is fresh out of college, and it was on his college team he gained a reputation for scoring quickly. Do not let this man get in front off you.
Photo(in his college uniform):Image

Curtis Osano-Forward/Midfielder-74-26
Born to a sailor's wife on the docks of Leorudo, he would spend most of his youth playing on the docks with other sailor's childern. In this playing, he developed an unorthodox style of scoring, shooting a shot that bounces and curves wildly. Oh, and he shoots these shots from the middle of the pitch. When he misses, though, Luke Moore stands ready to put a rebound in the back of the net.
Image

Rashid Yussu-Defender-73-38
A former Leorudian great, he is know entering the final phase of his career. He is also a mentor for many of the younger guys and helps defend an opponent who attempts to get a rebound. The defensive era started with him.
Photo:
Image

Subs
Seb Brown-Keeper-83-34
Seb Brown is the former star Keeper of the club that seems to have taken Scena Tartarus under his wing. He is a clinical goal stopper, a trait which seems to have been inherited by Scena. He is still a decent keeper that can be a sub in if Scena needs a break.
Photo:
Image

Warren Cummings-Defender-70-20
Warren Cummings was born in a village in northern Leorudo. There, he was introduced the game his village has been playing for centuries. He is a major believer in anti-technology, and he never comments, autographs, or records anything. He did not even stay for a photograph.
Photo:
(none avalible)

Callum McNaughton-Forward-68-24
Callum McNaughton is a fairly new Leorudian Forward that has only ever appeared in one game on the international stage.
He is a fairly good goal scorer, but he tends to quickly foul rather than chase his man down. Much better on the ball then off.
Photo(He is the one on the right):
Image

Mat Mitchel-Defender-67-23
Mat Mitchel is a prospect that is really just being used to take up an extra roster spot. He is not really skilled ay naything besides stopping players on the run, he got on the team by being the annoucer's nephew. He is your textbook back up.

World Cup 61

Sargossa - 'The Corsairs'

Kit
Courtesy of ediraf

Home / Away / Keeper
ImageImageImage

Coach

Brutušam Erassi (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
Shaven headed Pazhujebi tactician with a passion for a bruisingly physical yet all-out attacking game. Has led Sargossa to two successive World Cup finals and back into the world’s top twenty.

Assistant Coaches

Hernán Ojeda & Oghu'ghabuzheh Palšikar (Kagdazka & Pazhujebu)
Although his record as a manager in his own right leaves a lot to be desired Palšikar is a long standing collaborator with Erassi and can usually rely on his old mate to give him a job. Ojeda is a former assistant at SuperLiga giants Ciudad Soluca and provides the latest exotic foreign type in the hot seat with some necessary local input. In addition Israel Navarro continues to work with the goalkeepers while Javier Valentín has signed on as fitness coach.

Talent

GK: 1. José Antonio Leiva (34) - Scott City FC (Darmen)
Renowned locally as a safe pair of hands. A succession of consistent campaigns saw the keeper attract interest overseas and he's since headed for a new challenge in Darmen.
GK: 13. Cristian Deballa (31) - Dunas Del Sol
Boasts the fastest reflexes in the SuperLiga which would make him an instant starter were it not for the occasional devastating lapse in concentration.
GK: 25. Fernando Surza (32) - Jaguarés
Decent goalkeeper. Collects Koi Carp, which is nice.

DR: 2. Toni Siqueira (29) - Ciudad Soluca
Gallivanting right sided fallback with pace to burn and technique that comes from being half Cafundelense.
DRC: 5. Leandro Gonzàlez (25) - El Nacional
Former captain of the Under-21 side who has become an integral member of the senior squad. Has become the youngest El Nacional captain in their history.
DLC: 6. Matías Cardozo (26) – El Nacional
Snapped up from lower league Rayo Camei to form an imposing SuperLiga defensive partnership with Gonzàlez. A partnership Erassi hopes to recreate for the national side.
DL: 3. Lautaro Formica (24) – Sporting San Marquez
The second son of Marquezian immigrants who couples sound defensive instincts with a wand of a left foot. Clocked up twelve goals from set pieces last season.
DC: 12: Juan Delgado (35) - Sporting San Marquez
One club man who is something of a legend in his native San Marquez. Few read the game better but he sprints like a someone wading through treacle.
DC: 14. Bruno Trejo (29) - Ciudad Soluca
A late bloomer who in the space of five years has gone from the third tier to become one of the nation's most accomplished defenders. But a shaky first season in Soluca has seen him drop down the pecking order.
DLC: 19. Luis Parra (30) - Scott City FC (Darmen)
Primarily a left back but has the attributes to fairly effortless drop into the centre, versatility much admired by Erassi.
DR: 21: Gonzalo Soriano (24) - El Nacional
Pacy rightback with a devil of a cross on him. Has a good understanding with club mate Gonzàlez and will push Siqueira hard for a starting berth.

DMC: 4. Lucas Ramís (23) – Sporting San Marquez
Key member of a Sporting side looking increasingly formidable in the SuperLiga.
AMR: 7. Andrés Guerrón (31) - Chastings Heights (Civil Citizenry)
Wing wizard with pace that wouldn't look out of place at the Olympics. The onus will be on him to push forward to support the big men up front.
MC: 8. Luís Ángel Landín (33) - Alianza Jucaro
Consistently one of the SuperLiga's most, well, consistent performers. Offers a neat and tidy range of passing and the ability to dictate the Corsairs' tempo.
AML: 11. Alejandro Echeverría (29) - Ciudad Soluca
This boy's a bit special and we're not talking in the crash helmet and crayons sense. Stick him anywhere in the attacking third and he can make something happen.
AMRC: 15. Matías Montiel (29) - Vincanto (Erathore)
Ridiculously talented playmaker who hits a dream of a freekick and could conceivably thread a ball through the eye of a needle. He's just a little lightweight for Erassi's preferred blend of powerplay.
MRC: 16. Hugo Messina (32) - Alianza Jucaro
A consistent domestic performer with a neat array of passing and a passion for flamenco dancing. We're not sure how that helps.
MLC: 18. Kike Galán (22) – Sporting San Marquez
Miniature midfield dynamo whose influence in the centre often belies his diminutive stature.
DMC: 22. Ignacio Caballero (27) - Ciudad Soluca
A midfielder destroyer who fought off a tonne of attacking talent to take last season's SuperLiga player of the year award.
AMLC: 24. Sebastian Leto (30) - Sporting San Marquez
Scorer of last year's SuperLiga goal of the season, a 40 yard thunderbolt against Juventudé. Tricksy winger who provides left sided backup for Echeverría.

SC: 9. Celso Esquivel (34) - Charzzan (Erathore)
Penalty area predator with an international goals to games ratio that would look good on anyone's record. Age means Celso's no longer an automatic choice but he's a handy option from the bench.
FC: 10. Alejandro Martinuccio (29) - Sporting Iturributa ( Iturributa)
Erassi likes his big strikers and Martinuccio, at 6'4", fits the bill. A goal happy qualification campaign at the last tournament saw him snapped up by one of Astograth's biggest clubs. Which is now one of Iturributa's biggest clubs. Confused? So's he.
FC: 17. Mariano Estrada (22) – Sporting San Marquez
Twenty five goals last season says it all for the forward widely seen as the heir apparent to Esquivel.
FLC: 20. Carlos Montero (24) - Dínamo Maturín
The youth coaches at the Ciudad Deportiva are no strangers to unearthing gems and Carlos is the latest to excel for the Dínamo first team.
FRC: 23. Lucas Andrada (29) - Kiiarana (Vilita)
A talented lad plucked from SuperLiga midtable obscurity by sharp eyed V-League scouts. Back at Kiiarana after a season on the books of Yeaddin Owls, one the oldest names in world football.

Style
Erassi has favoured an attacking 4-1-3-2 system. Probable starting eleven (Listed L to R)
Leiva -- Formica - Gonzàlez - Cardozo - Soriano -- Caballero -- Echeverría - Landín - Guerrón -- Martinuccio - Andrada

Style Modifier = 'Fuck it, chaaarrrrge!' (+5)

The Archregimancy WC61 Roster

First of all, everyone except newbies knows that the Archregimancy is a nation of Eastern Orthodox Christian monks from an alternate reality, right?

The Cup of Harmony champions are fielding an unchanged squad: a team of 11 hermits called James.

The manager is also called James.

They are totally indistinguishable from each other to the non-Orthodox.

Whether this is a sign of monastic humility, a cunning footballing strategy that makes it impossible to man-mark the Archregimancy squad, or a harbinger of the impending apocalypse (the Cup of Harmony success suggests the second, but they're not mutually exclusive) is no doubt a matter of personal taste and interpretation.

Formation:
The Archregimancy always plays an orthodox 4-4-2; style modifier +0.

Team Icon

The team is always accompanied to matches by the Holy Icon of the Mother of God, Bringer of Victory, which is paraded before the team before the match. The Holy Icon looks like:

Tips for footballing visitors to the Archregimancy:

1) Each home match is preceded by the complete Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. Rest assured that this should only require visiting teams, fans, and officials to stand for a mere 2 hours before kickoff. Consider yourselves lucky we don't use the Liturgy of St. Basil.

2) We control the nature of reality in the Dreamed Realm. This isn't used to cheat - all normal rules of football are strenuously followed - but it does have two major side effects:
A) Any injuries to either team in Archregimancy home matches are immediately healed.
B) No violent or riotous behaviour by visiting fans will be tolerated. Any such behaviour will find those responsible immediately transported back to ordinary physical reality.

3) Direct travel from ordinary physical reality to the Dreamed Realm is impossible. Some 72 hours before your away qualifier in the Archregimancy, a team of monks shall arrive in your home stadium and construct a portal to the Dreamed Realm. You may then use this to travel to the Archregimancy at your leisure.

4) Visiting support is limited to a maximum of 200 fans as this campaign the Archregimancy will be playing in a tiny, isolated, and near-inaccessible home stadium.

5) Women are not usually permitted into the Archregimancy. Exceptions will be made for visiting players and properly accredited officials - largely because we have to.

6) Formerly, the Archregimancy made a point of being resentful of being forced to permit atheists, communists, freemasons, assorted heretics and foul excelites into the Archregimancy for home qualifiers. These days the Monastic Football Association tries a little harder to welcome all of the above – though largely in the hope that might just possibly be open to conversion through a slightly more conciliatory approach.

HOME GROUND

For the very first time, MFA will host matches in the isolated desert monastery of St George the Inaccessible.

Image

The football pitch is just around the corner to the right. It will take a three days subjective time camel ride to reach even after passing through the portal.

OOC: I realise my team might present a role-playing challenge. Rest assured that once they start playing they'll play just like any other team (though they might be a bit more inclined to pray after scoring), so I have no problem with you treating the team like any other if you don't want to deal with the Orthodox Christian element.

THE HOLY EMPIRE WC 61 SQUAD

While the nation took a long break between WCs 8 and 24 (inclusive), the Holy Empire is proud to be the last currently active nation to have participated in WC1.

Inspired by the recent Imperial Chap Olympiad, a group of chaps from the Imperial Club are setting out to show that the Corinthian values of amateur fair play still have a role to play in top level multiverse sports, especially when representing the current champions and number one-ranked nation.

Alongside upper class snobbery, casual misogyny, and hunting peasants for sport.

No, there's no 'h' missing in 'peasant'.

Rah.

Goal:
Vivian Smith-Smythe-Smitho: Can count up to 4

Defence:
Simon Zinc-Trumpet-Harriso: Married to a very attractive table lamp
Nigelo Incubator-Joneses: Best friend is a tree
Gervaise Brook-Hamstero: Used as a wastepaper basket by his father

Midfield:
Oliver St. John-Mollusco: His father is an Imperial Senator, and his mother won the Derby.
Jethro Q. Walrustittes: Yes, he was the middle one
Isaac the Prince Imperial [cap]: The Basileus' dim but enthusiastic nephew finally makes his competitive sporting debut. Expect bad poetry. Rah!
Elsie Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz: Terribly afraid of kittens.
Kevin Phillipso-Bong: Spawned a goblin and is wary of sheep.

Forwards:
Imperial Senator Tarquin Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim-bus-stop-F'tang-F'tang-Olé-Biscuitbarrel: Recent judge in the Imperial Chap Olympiad; such fun!

Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern-schplenden-schlitter-crasscrenbon-fried-digger-dingle-dangle-dongle-dungle-burstein-von-knacker-thrasher-apple-banger-horowitz-ticolensic-grander-knotty-spelltinkle-grandlich- grumblemeyer-spelterwasser-kurstlich-himbleeisen-bahnwagen-gutenabend-bitte-ein-nürnburger-bratwustle-gerspurten-mitz- weimache-luber-hundsfut-gumberaber-shönedanker-kalbsfleisch-mittler-aucher von Hautkopft of New Nicea: Please use his full name in match reports; thank you. He'll be terribly offended if you don't.

Subs:
The chaps' butlers

Coaches:

The team coach remains World Cup Hall of Fame legend Juan Tzimisces.

The assistant coach is Starblaydi World Cup Hall of Fame legend Simeone Di Bradini, back after a brief break trying to knock his original homeland into some form of footballing shape.

Ug-Ug is having a new adventure, and isn't with the Holy Empire this cup.

The Holy Empire always registers the coaches as players, just in case.

Kit
The squad will wear the famous Imperial Gold and Red, as worn by the Holy Empire since WC1 (home left, change/away right)

Image

Ground
Home matches take place in the jewel-encrusted and gold and platinum-domed Imperial Hippodrome.

Style Modifiers / formation
Frosty football is attacking football. The Holy Empire always plays a 3-5-2 formation using overlapping wingers that turns into 3-3-4 on the counterattack.

OOC'ly, the team uses the maximum attacking style modifier permitted by each cup's hosts.

RP instructions:
Except for the three very specific exceptions described below, knock yourselves out - creative RP is encouraged.

Because the chaps on the team believe in the highest ideals of sportsmanship and fair play, they will refuse to score with any penalty kick awarded to them (because they refuse to believe their opponents would be so base as to cheat) and will refuse to save any penalty awarded against them (because it would be unsporting not to acknowledge their error).

Please remember that the basic rules for travel to the Archregimancy [see above] also apply to the Holy Empire - you'll need someone to build a portal for you, you can't just fly/walk/drive there. If you want to deal with the malleable reality and non-linear time elements of the Dreamed Realm, and have no prior experience of these, it's probably best to check with me first.

Only I can decide if and when I might choose to field the coaches as players; please don't do this unilaterally.

World Cup 20 Champions

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 85 ] Nycflala Kater [ - Strike FC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 47 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.76 Average Rating ]
Descended of former National Team goalkeeper Jimmy Kater, who took over the starting position on the National Team under the intense spotlight of the World Cup 17 Finals in Vilita and remained first choice keeper for the majority of Vilitan national competition in subsequent seasons before joining the coaching staff for World Cup 31. Nycflala made his full debut for the Vilita National Team during World Cup 57 where he was named the starter in 14 of Vilitas 16 qualification matches. Kater performed strongly with 6 shutouts and a 5.86 average rating. Many claim that the focus on the World Cup 57 Qualifying campaign distracted Strike players such as Kater from performing well domestically in VLeague 26. Kater ensured there would be no dissapointment in VLeague 27 leading Strike comfortably to both the League and Cup titles, repeating the feat during VLeague 29 and VLeague 30.

[ 92 ] Jungrii Canopii [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.10 Average Rating ]
Canopii spent most of World Cup 57 Qualifications on the bench, earning three substitute appearances in official matches, though he was named starter for the mid-qualification charity match against Akbarabad to raise money for big cats, where he made 11 saves. Despite spending most of the campaign as the primary backup, Canopii was not given the opportunity to start when #1 keeper Kater missed two matches, leading doubts as to whether he is looked upon as a serious canadidate for the starting role in the future. After starting at the Inland Academy then signing for Inland Peaks, Canopii left the home-town club when they were relegated from the Stellar Division after Season 26, joining cross-range rivals Eastal Lunar. Despite being relegated to the Declasse, Canopii led Eastal Lunar to the Vilitan Cup title during Season 28. Canopii has remained loyal to Eastal Lunar despite their relegation from the Stellar Division, turning down multiple offers to join bigger clubs in the top flight. Canopii thrust back into the National Team spotlight during World Cup 60 Qualifying, stopping 5 of the 9 matches the Jungle Cats won consecutively to qualify for the World Cup through the Playoff Pod system.

[ 91 ] Aranora Jaded [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.88 Average Rating ]
Jaded was given a great confidence boost by the decision of the coaching staff to sell Jaqe Planst to Cednia Beach AFC. The two young keepers were fighting for the right to be the next Arcticala starting keeper, and Jaded won that job, leading Arcticala to the Tropical Trophy title in Season 27 - on penalty kicks, against his opposite number Planst who was making his first start for Cednia Beach since leaving Arcticala.

[ 90 ] Jaqe Planst [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.50 Average Rating ]
Planst was acquired by Cednia Beach AFC after playing just 1 match in Season 26 for Arcticala Inlet. Planst helped the Turorian side to second place in the VLeague 27 table and a return to UICA Competitions. A poor showing during the AOCL V in which Cednia Beach were eliminated in the group stage likely kept Planst out of any contention for a National Team spot during World Cup 58 Qualifiers, although, as a highly skilled keeper, Planst was still invited to the training camp. Planst has an ongoing rivalry with former Cednia Youth teammate Aranora Jaded who left Cednia Beach to join Planst's former club, Arcticala Inlet, and also achieved great success.

[ 98 ] Atacir Tivalan [ - Makosile FC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Tivalan architected an outstanding season for Makosile FC in the Vilitan Stellar Division, season 26 leading the Mako's to a top 4 finish in the table, and earning a high-profile transfer to the Yeaddin Owls. Although Tivalan played well at the Castle, the team was languishing unfamiliarly near the bottom half of the table, while Makosile also struggled. The Owls decided to part company with the goalkeeper who was welcomed back to Makosile, finishing the season strong conceding just 8 goals in 15 games. Season 30 was the breakthrough for Tivalan and Makosile, an ultra-defensive season fell right into the Mako's hands as they were crowned stellar division champions for the first time and Tivalan got a call to the squad for AOCAF 36.

DEFENDERS:

[ 9 ] Ritopa Simafela [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 56 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.85 Average Rating ]
Ritopa was a standout product of the Lunar Academy and was named as one of the captains of Vilita's World Cup 57 Qualifying Squad. The son of a Rocket Scientist and a Physicist, Simafela is already well educated and is in no way reliant on a career in sports. However, strong performances during his debut qualifying campaign including a 6.05 average rating and 2 goals spurred transfer inquiries from foreign clubs and comparisons to Vilitan greats like Enzo Ahat and Ricky Ezis. Simafela transferred to Strike FC for VLeague 27 and was an instrumental part of their double success in the League and Cup.

[ 94 ] Miiara Makose [ - Strike FC - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 55 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.02 Average Rating ]
Makose has Druidan blood, though has been diluted through multiple generations. He was trained as a goalkeeper in Turori but did not want to be stuck in the shadows of Nycflala Kater, so switched over to the defensive role when joining the Strike Academy. The transition was clearly justified as Makose was one of the top performing players in World Cup 57 qualifying, carrying a 6.65 average rating while appearing in 14 of Vilita's 16 group matches. Makose was also part of Strike's dominating VLeague 27 performances winning the League and Cup titles with the club and repeated the feat during VLeague 29, doing one better, having scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute of the Cup Final against the rival Yeaddin Owls. Incredibly, Makose did it again during the Season 30 Cup Final, scoring the opening goal of Strike's 2-0 victory over Colonial Sile.

[ 68 ] Kadi Molali [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 56 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.94 Average Rating ]
Molali has the ability to make stunning runs up the right side of the field and has put together exciting 'from-nothing' goal scoring opportunities in weekly scrimmage matches. Molali was an exciting prospect for the Turoki Academy who was solid, but not exceptional during World Cup 57 Qualifying, making 13 appearances and scoring 1 goal. After joining multiple clubs, including Strike FC, Molali left the VLeague abrubtly in the middle of VLeague 26. After some time off, Molali returned, signing for Eastal Lunar FC and completing a strong VLeague Season 27.

[ 3 ] Niubo Deneli [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.36 Average Rating ]
Deneli was a solid prospect for the Strike Academy before a decline in his development after the age of 15, a time at which he was considered the best defensive prospect in the country. He ended up signing his first professional contract with local side Lonngeylin Coast, helping them get invited to the Declasse for Season 27, and helping them keep that spot for Season 28. Deneli, however, would leave the club and return to the other side of the street to play for Strike FC in Season 28. After a season and a half with his home club, Deneli found himself on the substitutes bench for the first time, and immediately requested a transfer, which was granted as he moved to Kiiarana. However, a miserable season at Kiiarana resulted in Deneli abandoning ship to ride with the Tide in Turoki.

[ 64 ] Uajiala Pulkki [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 22 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.50 Average Rating ]
Pulkki is a descendent of former Inland Peaks FC defender Pasi Pulkki, and many are saying he could even be better then his ancestors. Pulkki unfortunately lasted barely 22 minutes in his competitive debut against Ipeland in World Cup 57 qualifying, but has put in some more impressive performances since. Like many of his teammates, Pulkki left Inland Peaks after their relegation in VLeague 26, and headed over to Eastal Lunar. Pulkki was a star for Eastal during VLeague 27 earning a transfer to former champions Cednia Beach AFC for VLeague 28. After a season and a half in Cednia Beach, Pulkki moved to the Turoki Tide at the midway point of V-League Season 29.

[ 67 ] Eda Shindhi [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 10 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.10 Average Rating ]
Shindhi is a player in the mold of former Marine Coast defensive stalwarts Ade Hinds and Sibusiso Azaiez. While Shindhi still has some development to go before realizing his full potential, it is expected that he will continue to get a run out from time to time as his skills progress. Shindhi made his competitive debut in defeat against Brendino the 3rd during World Cup 57 Qualifying but did not impress in that performance. After being trainined at the Coastal Academy, Shindhi signed his first professional contract with Marine Coast United. Shindhi switched to Cednia Beach AFC when Marine Coast were relegated for V-League 27, not enjoying success there, eventually returning to Vilita to play for the Turoki Tide, finishing runners up in V-League 28. Shindhi moved to Arcticala for V-League 30.

[ 66 ] Sipaao Vereaoao [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- D L ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 8.13 Average Rating ]
A product of the Inland Academy, Vereaoao has played in both Vilita & Turori, but committed his future to the Jungle Cats when featuring for them as a half time substitute against Nitrome Island during World Cup 57 qualifying. Vereaoao left long-time home Inland Peaks after they failed to achieve promotion from the Declasse during VLeague 27. Vereaoao signed for Marine Coast United, who had earned promotion in addition to a place in International Competitions. However, with Marine Coast struggling to keep pace in the Stellar Division, Vereaoao jumped ship to free-spending Kiiarana for V-League Season 29.

[ 63 ] Baiiub Jual-Knakok [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 4.36 Average Rating ]
A product of the Coastal Academy, Jual-Knakok is a left footed defender nicknamed "the Cricket" by his peers. The Cricket has been loyal to the Laiotia Locals in the Non-Leagues ever since signing his first professional contract, though the lack of exposure and experience has dropped him down the National Team depth chart. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, and the Locals once again missing out on an invitation to join the League system, Jual-Knakok finally signed a league contract to play with Marine Coast United for Season 30, but quickly moved on joining the Turoki Tide for Season 32.

[ 8 ] Ricata Amakra [ - Orbital Kickers - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.00 Average Rating ]
The product of the Alikka-Corra Academy is a defender being compared locally with former Alikki-Corra FC defender Emarka Laniora. While he doesn't yet share the same ability to charge up either wing with the ball, his solid defensive skills should see him earn some playing time with the National Team. Amakra has been a star performer in the Non-Leagues with the Orbital Kickers.

[ 4 ] Timmson Leabiura [ - Winding Street (CvC) - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
The development of Timmson Leabiura seems to be hampered by his family's inability to stay put, and he has found himself at 6 different academies in his short sporting career. After training at the Strike Academy off and on, it was hoped by pundits that his development would spark. Leabiura would instead move to Civil Citizenry to play with Winding Street.

[ 4 ] Tyaoino Munviola [ - Makosile - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.44 Average Rating ]
A towering defender with a dependable head, Munviola is not afraid to join the attack on corner kicks, and rarely loses a defensive header. His feet have let him down from time to time, but have been improving. Despite his inconsistencies, Munviola was a surprise package during World Cup 57 qualifying, making 6 appearances and having a strong ratings average. After multiple seasons in the Non-League with Laiotia Locals, Munviola finally signed a league contract to play with Declasse side Mavaloiao for Season 30. Munviola's fast rise continued when making the big switch to V-League Champions Makosile for Season 32.
DEFENSIVE MID:

[ 36 ] Retiso Buran [ - Strike FC - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 58 :: GOALS::SR: 6 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.64 Average Rating ]
Retiso Buran was the top prospect at the Sile Academy specializing in the defensive midfield role once made famous by Jürgen Ramzi. Buran is a ferocious player who some has said can be seen with teeth gritted ready to pounce as the attacking side approaches. Appearing almost exclusively during World Cup 57 qualifying, Buran missed only one game and scored 2 goals during the campaign. Burans perofmances both for the National Team and for Makosile earned him a transfer to Strike FC for Season 27, where he earned the Vilitan Stellar Divisions top goalscorer award for the second consecutive season, the first time ever achieved by a midfielder.

[ 39 ] Tujamu Treola [ - Jlinal Cove - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 21 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.77 Average Rating ]
A product of the Strike Academy, Tujamu Treola excels both defensively in the midfield, and with his head both defensively and on corner kicks. Treola made his competitive debut in World Cup 57 qualifying against West Zirconia. After spending the majority of his youth at Tivali United, Treola joined Jlinal Cove in the middle of Season 31 to attempt to save them from relegation but was unsuccessful.

[ 38 ] Dronik Ratuva [ - Morata Valley - ]
------- DM RLC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 8.00 Average Rating ]
Dronik Ratuva was an exciting prospect from the Valley Academy, who is also able to move wide to defensively cover the wings when 2 or 3 central defenders are used. Ratuva helped Morata Valley earn promotion to the Stellar Division during VLeague 26.

[ 34 ] Danie Izmao [ - Lonngeylin Coast - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
Izmao was a Strike Academy prospect who, while not rated as the highest defensive midfield prospect at the academy, was still expected to get a run out with the National Squad in World Cup 57 Qualifiers. That chance never came, and the Venom weren't interested when it came time to award professional contracts. Izmao went across the road to Lonngeylin Coast and was instrumental in helping them not only get invited to rejoin the Vilitan League System - but for the first time ever, to stay there for at least a second consecutive season. Izmao is still part of the national team player pool, especially should any injuries come in to play

[ 30 ] Ukalai Saluria [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Saluria was a product of the Turoki Academy, who has trained with the National Team as an alternate since World Cup 57. Saluria played much of his early career for Jaguar Moreda in the Vilitan Non-League system. Saluria was discovered by Lopinka United during Season 31 and strong performances quickly earned hte midfielder a switch to Stellar Division side Turoki Tide for Season 32.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 21 ] Jomur Hulyer [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 64 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.39 Average Rating ]
A descendent of the exciting Marine Coast and Yeaddin midfielder Jonjo Hulyer, Jomur has been compared heavily to his ancestors and even carries the same squad number. Unlike Jonjo, however, Jomur was trained at the Yeaddin Academy. Hulyer would soon become the quickest player to ever represent all three of the original Vilitan Dynasties, signing his first professional contract with Marine Coast United before transferring to Strike for VLeague 28.

[ 74 ] Jian Lejsrma [ - Strike FC - ]
------- AM RL ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 31 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.26 Average Rating ]
Lejsrma is a speed demon who was trained at the Strike Academy. The most dynamic and pacey winger in the Vilitan system, he is expected to be a great player for many seasons to come. At this stage in his development, he may get overlooked as he works more on his technique and vision, but with experience, he will learn these skills. Lejsrma has been an important part of Strike FC's VLeague successes

[ 51 ] Steffyn Siazzu [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 59 :: GOALS::SR: 7 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.69 Average Rating ]
An exciting prospect from the Yeaddin Academy, Siazzu plays behind the strikers in a clean up or attacking role atop the midfield. Despite not scoring during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Siazzu was an important presence. After spending many seasons in Yeaddin, Siazzu moved to the Turoki Tide, helping them to runners-up in the VLeague29 table.

[ 27 ] Rexii Tzikas [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 59 :: GOALS::SR: 15 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.36 Average Rating ]
Tzikas was the top propsect of the Arcticala Academy, and one of the most highly rated players in the Vilitan National Team pool entering World Cup 57 Qualifiers. The Tzikas name has some history in Vilitan Sport, formerly, Toby Tzikas was a midfielder on the National Team, though he was less known than other former Vilitan Stars as he played his club football in Starblaydia. Rexii was the only Vilitan player to start every single match during qualifications for World Cup 57. His presence was strong averaging a 6.01 rating with 2 goals. Tzikas strong performances also were reflected domestically scoring 9 goals in 2 seasons with Turoki Tide before transferring to Cednia Beach for VLeague 28 season. Tzikas returned home to Turoki during Season 31, rejoining the Tide after 3 seasons in Turori.

[ 55 ] Viliaka Morasita [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 34 :: GOALS::SR: 4 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.13 Average Rating ]
Morasita was the top prospect coming out of the Tivali Academy, playing central and left midfield. His sure footed tackling ability is noted but he is a well balanced midfielder. After playing a season and a half professionally for Alikki-Corra, Morasita joined the Vilitan League with Inland Peaks FC midway through VLeague 27. After spending 3 succesful seasons in the Declasse, Morasita transfered to Stellar Division side Cednia Beach AFC during Season 31.

[ 53 ] Resaie Kentiak [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 43 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.69 Average Rating ]
Kentiak is a product of the Coastal Academy who has played a substitute role in the center of midfield for the Vilitan National Team.

[ 73 ] Manolis Kontalroma [ - Yeaddin Owls - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 11 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.84 Average Rating ]
A product of the Kiiara Academy, Manolis Kontalroma can play central or on the left side in a classic midfield role. After signing professionally with Jlinal Cove FC, Kontalroma joined the Yeaddin Owls during Vleague 26. Kontalroma stayed at Yeaddin for over 3 seasons before joining the Turoki Tide during VLeague 30. Kontalroma played just 9 games for the Tide before the Owls snapped him back up for Season 31, a return to form of sorts as the Owls returned to the title picture.

[ 70 ] Aniara Jiurjai [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 17 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.77 Average Rating ]
Jiurjai was trained in Turori but declared for Vilita after being called upon for World Cup 57 Qualifying. Jiurjai can play both central and outside midfield and can use both feet equally well. After declaring for Vilita, Jiurjai moved from Turori to Turoki to play with the Turoki Tide. Strong performances during VLeague 26 earned Jiurjai a transfer to Strike for VLeague 27 where the midfielder was instrumental to Strike's League and Cup double. However, Strike's success would eventually lead to Jiurjai being excessed as an influx of new signings joined the club, and the midfielder opted to move to Arcticala Inlet when the contract allowed during Season 31.

[ 24 ] Astara Daiili [ - Kiiarana City - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 31 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.34 Average Rating ]
Daiili is a classic central midfielder who prefers a holding role and short distribution. With Starblaydi blood and Vilitan determination, Daiili was a consistent performer during World Cup 57 Qualifiers making 19 appearances with a 6.07 average rating. After spending the first 6 seasons of the career in Crosaibi, Daiili jumped ship at struggling Marine Coast for a team with far more Starblayde heritage, Kiiarana City.

[ 28 ] Riksa Valjariia [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.97 Average Rating ]
Valjariia is an attacking midfielder who was trained at the Turoki Academy. Valjariia tends to come on the pitch to provide an attack boost, some times as a second attacking midfielder in a substitute role. Valjariia played professionally for Inland Peaks FC before moving to the Turoki Tide

[ 78 ] Relmar Winauat [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Winauat was a product of the Turoki Academy who has been known to hit some quality long range shots. However, he has also been known to blast the ball over the net from 5 or 6 yards out. Winauat was part of Strike FC's VLeague 27 championship side.

[ 29 ] Cristoh Nrubari [ - Makosile - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.00 Average Rating ]
Nrubari was a prospect out of the Kiiara Academy who signed his first professional contract with Mliona-Lpaka in Turori. Nrubari was instrumental in Mliona-Lpaka's return to the Stellar Division before moving on to other opportunities. Nrubari got the chance to play in the UICA Champions League, joining Makosile United after their breakthrough Season 31 Stellar Division title.

[ 25 ] Kiroki Mitaroka [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 19 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
After starting at the Turoki Locals in the Lower Leagues, Mitaroka's talent was spotted by Inland Peaks FC who snapped the youngster up for V-League season 29. At the midway point of the season Mitaroka was setting the Declasse on fire with skillful performances and caught the attention of the Vilitan coaches who added Mitaroka to the World Cup 59 roster despite having never been called to the National Team before.

FORWARDS:

[ 17 ] Viji-mara Lawaai [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 49 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.56 Average Rating ]
Trained at the Strike Academy, Lawaai has excelled at shooting from long range, and making space on the edge of the penalty area with crafty turns, and may produce opportunities for free kicks if he wears down the opposition approaching the box. Lawaii made 8 substitute appearances during World Cup 57 qualifying, making his competitive debut against Krytenia, but failed to find the scoresheet.

[ 13 ] Yves Gadois [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 19 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 5 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.52 Average Rating ]
Gadois became a hot topic in Vilita after rising to glory as the spearhead for Strike FC's Vleague 27 championship, with 8 league goals and an incredibly 6 goals in the Vilitan Cup. Gadois, a product of the Inland Academy, earned an invitation to the National Team Training camp for the first time in the build up to World Cup 58.

[ 9 ] Lita Adjei [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 14 :: GOALS::SR: 3 U21: REG: ) :: [ 7.09 Average Rating ]
A product of the Turoki Academy, Adjei has sport in the blood, being a descendent of former Stellar Division top Forward award winner Ippolit Adjei. Adjei moved on a loan to newly promoted Hojosan in The Yorozura after WC57 quals as part of an investment deal with the clubs kit sponsors, VIlitan based Vilaye energy drink. When that deal expired, Adjei returned to the Vilitan League, being snapped up by Kiiarana in the Stellar Division and quickly rising to the level of stardom with strong performances and crucial goals during Season 29, seeing the single-cap player called to the squad for World Cup 59. Adjei's impressive performances earned him a high-profile transfer to Arcticala Inlet for V-League 30.

[ 15 ] Sirkii Moliaudo [ - Makosile - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 37 :: GOALS::SR: 9 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.17 Average Rating ]
Moliaudo is a real force in front of goal, rarely missing from inside the penalty area. Many eyes were on Moliaudo during the World Cup Campaign, to see how he fared with a new partner in attack, having spent his entire development partnered with Xcnaio Bansoa at the Coastal Academy. Moliaudo mostly performed well netting 4 goals and having a strong rating, but still left some wondering if there was more talent to be mined from the Marine Coast youngster. After Bansoa left Marine Coast for greener pastures, Moliaudo remained and his stock also decreased. After a second relegation with Marine Coast, Moliaudo jumped ship up the Vilitan coast to Kiiarana City.

[ 43 ] Kristofer Kilpter [ - Cednia Beach AFC (TUR) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 47 :: GOALS::SR: 13 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.31 Average Rating ]
Kilpter is joint Vilitan & Turori national, but declared to play for Vilita, with the lure of World Cup competition in Vilita's entry into World Cup 57 the key decision maker after the Turorian side was not entered. Kilpter netted 4 times during the World Cup 57 campaign but missed three matches due to an undisclosed injury. After struggling to win silverware with the Yeaddin Owls, Kilpter made the Largest Transfer in V-League history (12.7 kT) to Turorian side Cednia Beach. The transfer was more than double the 4.5kT previous transfer record in the Vilitan League, which was also payed by Cednia Beach to Yeaddin (for Antonis Siazzu).

[ 44 ] Erocka Lorei [ - Kiiarana - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 20 :: GOALS::SR: 11 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.42 Average Rating ]
The top attacking prospect at the Kiiara Academy, Erocka Lorei was expected to get quite a few chances to impress on the national stage during World Cup 57 Qualifying and did not dissapoint, leading the Vilitan team in goals scored with 5 in the competition despite only featuring in 11 out of 16 matches. Lorei claims to be a penalty kick specialist but has not been known for his aerial ability. Lorei signed professionally for Declasse side Liguon Valley during Season 26, but moved on to the Stellar Division during Season 27 with Makosile.

[ 49 ] Xcnaio Bansoa [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 15 :: GOALS::SR: 2 U21: REG: ) :: [ 6.03 Average Rating ]
Bansoa was a training partner of Sirkii Moliaudo at the Coastal Academy, and many believed that Moliaudo's prowess in front of goal was due solely to his close partnership with Bansoa. After not being called to the line during World Cup 57 Qualifiers, Bansoa decided it was time for a change, breaking ties with Moliaudo and Marine Coast United, signing for Arcticala Inlet in the Stellar Division. Bansoa featured frequently for the Jungle Cats during the World Cup 58 Campaign, performing well, but scoring no goals, relegating him from the top selection in the subsequent Cup of Harmony held in Vilita and New Montreal States.

[ 48 ] Actalia Mermaioada [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 1 U21: REG: ) :: [ 5.98 Average Rating ]
Mermaioada was a prospect of the Strike Academy, who also excels at water sports, a fact that some pundits have argued hampers his development on the pitch. While not even featuring on the bench for early World Cup 57 qualifying matches, Mermaioada finally made his competitive debut as a half-time substitute against Ipeland and would feature as a sub for three consecutive matches before the return of Kilpter to the lineup. Mermaioada looked to have broken into the lineup during the Cup of Harmony, scoring in Vilita's 5-3 opening match victory. However, the decision to attempt a cross-channel swim on the bye day in the middle of the competition put Mermaioada out of favor with the coaching staff once again. Mermaioada appeared to be completely off the radar before being snapped up from Non-League Surf Jettica by Strike for VLeague 30.

Stadium Details

Tivali Ring Stadium Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Seated)
Home Club: Vilitan National Team
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

Lunar Park - Seraai, Vilita (129,000 Seated)
Home Club: Eastal Lunar FC
Lunar Park became the largest stadium in Vilita at the time of its construction. Although some stadiums have added poor quality seating to exceed the 129,000 capacity mark, Lunar Park offers quality seats all around the stadium, and onlookers sometimes get treated to events such as Rocket Launches and suborbital testing as the stadium was constructed by the Vilitan Space Program overlooking some of their active launch facilities. Lunar Park is the home of Vilitan side Eastal Lunar FC and hosted the final of the Cup of Harmony 50: Golden Edition.

Lonngeylin Coliseum - Lonngeylin, Vilita (115,500 Seated) - 141,000 Standing Room
Home Club: Jungle Strike FC
The Coliseum is one of the oldest, but most expansive stadiums in Vilita. The Home of Vilitan club Strike FC, the stadium has undergone several renovations, name changes and expansions in its long history, which includes being a knockout venue for the World Cup 17 and 31 finals, as well as hosting the exciting World Cup 59 Final between The Babbage Islands and Aguazul. The Coliseum is known for its unique hillside accommodation, boasts one of the most impressive match atmospheres in the region. Typically, only the home fans are allowed in the south and east areas, which include both hillside seating and open hillside that can accommodate an approximately 30,000 additional fans beyond the seated capacity - depending on how far away from the stadium they wish to prop themselves. Away fans are always seated in the west grandstand.

Marine World Park - Crosaibi, Vilita (57,500 Capacity)
Home Club: Marine Coast United
Marine World Park is the oldest stadium in Vilita, home of the historic club Marine Coast United. The stadium was at one time the largest stadium in Vilita by seating capacity before the construction of the Tivali Ring Stadium in Alikki-Corra prior to World Cup 13. Marine World Park is one of the few stadiums of the Vilitan league that was never hit by the expansion bug in the golden era of the Vilitan League. While many stadiums expanded to over 100,000 capacity, Marine World Park's coastal location made any expansion plans tricky, and some have blamed the lack of expansion for some of the troubles of Marine Coast United in attracting the talent they need to keep up with any of the Stellar Division teams. Marine World Park also hosted parts of the World Cup 17 Finals

Arcticala Electrical Stadium, Arcticala, Vilita (90,277 Seated)
Home Club: Arcticala Inlet AFC
The Arcticala Electrical Stadium was originally constructed during World Cup 34 but was not maintained for some time. When the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26, it was decided that Arcticala would resume play in their original home, the Inlet Stadium, where they continued to play all their league games through their Season 28 championship season. The Arcticala Electrical Stadium was re-opened during Season 28 and Arcticala Inlet used the stadium during their cup campaign which saw them advance to the final. and will host all Arcticala Inlet matches starting in Season 29. The refurbished 90,000+ seater stadium is one of the most advanced stadiums in the region with the funding of Vilita's biggest energy provider behind it, fully covering the exterior of the stadium with solar panels.

National View Stadium - Morata Valley, Vilita (114,000 Seated)
Home Club: Inland Peaks FC
National View Stadium was constructed with the goal of bringing World Cup matches to Morata Valley after the region missed out on hosting matches during World Cup 17. The home of Inland Peaks FC, National View Stadium, as the name would suggest, offers fantastic views of the Vilitan island and has viewing decks on the outside of the stadium at multiple levels. Originally constructed as a 42,000 All seater, the stadium has since expanded to 90,000, then to 114,000 seats with some additional capacity on the viewing decks.

Track Venture Field - Sile, Vilita (106,000 Seated)
Home Club: Makosile FC
Track Venture Field, home of Makosile FC will host one match during the World Cup 59 Finals, used as a local rotation stadium with Colonial Field to ensure that no team played 3 straight matches in the same arena.

Lirai Asku Castle - Yeaddin, Vilita (62,000 Seated)
Home Club: Yeaddin Owls AFC
This historical aged castle was converted into a sporting arena by the Yeaddin Owls who promised to pay for maintenance on the Castle Exterior while building their stadium against the vacant inner walls of the structure. Despite its relatively low capacity compared with other stadiums in the Tropics of Vilita, the atmosphere provided by the Lirai Asku Castle both inside and out makes it a popular choice to host international matches in World Cup, Cup of Harmony, Baptism of Fire and AOCAF competition.

Cup of Harmony Champions
Post World Cup 26; Post World Cup 32

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 1 ] Ronji Miiastara [ - Kiiarana City (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 46 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Miiastara joined Marine Coast United in Vilita for their V-League 27 campaign in the Declasse, just the second ever for the club at that level. Miiastara was tasked with keeping the ball out of the net, and he did just that, helping lead Marine Coast United back to the Stellar Division at the first attempt leading up to V-League 28. After competing in the UICA 'B' Champions League, Marine Coast finished a respectable 7th place in the V-League but just missed out on a UICA place. Miiastara jumped ship to Kiiarana City in order to participate in the UICA Globe Cup prior to Season 29. While Kiiarana did not make the huge title push expected of them, Miiastara let in a career low 14 goals during Season 30, leading Kiiarana to a runner up finish in the Stellar Division and a place in the UICA Champions League.

[ 82 ] Mumau Atla-Siioai [ - Turoki United (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
A Dual Vilita & Turori National, Atla-Siioai was invited to the Vilitan World Cup 57 Training camp - but so were 6 other goalkeepers. Atla-Siioai transferred from the Kionao Locals to Vilitan side Turoki United for the V-League 27 season. While his play for Turoki was solid, the impact of Atla-Siioai's presence was most evident back in Turori as the Locals were relegated from the V-League with a club record 20 defeats. While showing the importance of having Atla-Siioai in the squad, the fact that the Goalkeeper left the Locals high and dry has not left a good impression on their Turorian fanbase. Atla-Siioai has, however, made a name for himself in Turoki, repeatedly being named Supporters Player of the Season and leading the team into UICA Competition places.

[ 86 ] Hooizo Nuakoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Nuakoi, a dual Vilitan & Turorian national, entered World Cup 58 qualifying uncapped and undeclared for either Nation. Nuakoi was widely expected to openly declare Turorian Nationality going into the qualifying, but with the rise of rival Ronji Miiastara, Nuakoi decided to leave the door open to a Vilitan return should he remain uncapped for Turori. After spending Season 26 and 27 at Turoki Isle, Nuakoi made the move to the Yeaddin Owls midway through Season 27 to become their #1 keeper. Nuakoi returned to Turoki during Season 29, joining the Turoki Tide as they finished runners up in the Stellar Division. Nuakoi was important in the Tide's success in the Tropical Trophy, the clubs first major Top-Level silverware.

DEFENDERS:

[ 2 ] Yoains Konoaafeo [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 25 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 3 )
Konoaafeo was the top defensive product of the Yeaddin Academy and was expected to be part of the Vilitan national team set up due to this fact. However, after not being capped during World Cup 57 Qualifying, and learning of Turori's intention to enter World Cup 58, Konoaafeo switched allegiances both for club and country. After playing half of V-League 26 with the Kionao Locals, Konoaafeo moved to Cednia Beach AFC where he would lead the Coconut Kickers to their second V-League championship, being named Turorian player of the season in the process.

[ 3 ] Lioniaa Tana [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 43 :: GOALS::SR: 3 )
Tana is one of the most athetlically skilled defensive players in the Turorian arsenal, although Tana's weakness shines in technical areas like heading and man to man marking. After starting their career at Vilitan side Rammsissil, Tana moved to Eastal Lunar FC during V-League 27, winning the Vilitan Cup with the team during Season 28 but relegation triggered a clause allowing Tana to return home to Turori with Cednia Beach AFC for Season 29.

[ 12 ] Diauro Dlaminii [ - Cednia Beach AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 37 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Dlaminii started his career at Vilitan lower league side Alona Sissil where he impressed greatly, warranting interest from all the top named V-League sides. Dlaminii eventually decided to head home to Turori, signing with Cednia Beach AFC where he competed in all of the clubs V-League 27 matches.

[ 5 ] Noa-isinao Wioauoi [ - Turoki Tide (Vilita) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Noa-isinao Wioauoi ws a product of the Yeaddin Academy who caught the eye of one Yeaddin reporter at a training session doing ball handling tricks, and the shared video went viral, sparking a campaign including a fan website and even local town council requests to invite the youngster into the Vilita National Team training camp for World Cup 57. Wioauoi was invited to the camp, but never impressed coaches Massa and Wrice enough to be capped during the process. Wioauoi, born in Turori despite leaving in Vilita, accepted an invitation from the Football Association of Turori to train with them in preparation for a playing role in the World Cup 58 Qualifiers. After spending a season at Arcticala Inlet, Wioauoi moved to new Stellar Division competitiors Turoki Tide.

[ 4 ] Balariita Muzmaara [ - Terrarokka Spirit (Vilita) - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 20 CAPS: 10 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Muzmaara, one of the youngest players ever invited to a Turorian National Team training camp (Ignoring the Cocoboas), joining the Terrarokka Spirit during Season 27.

[ 61 ] Moia Fliporta [ - Laiotia Locals (Vilita) - ]
------- D/DM L ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Fliporta started their career at Laiotia Locals in the Non-League system of Vilita. Known for aerobic ability such as speed, acceleration and the ability to jump higher than most anyone on the pitch, Fliporta is otherwise not particularly great at the technical aspects of the game.

UTILITY PLAYERS:

[ 22 ] Restiaa Mumamba [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- ATH ( AGE: 22 CAPS: 43 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Mumamba was the definition of a versatile player for Vilita's Yeaddin Owls after joining them for the V-League 27 season from Jlinal Cove FC. Mumamba played in every position from Central Defender to Striker, scoring a game winning goal in one game and a game saving tackle in the next. Mumamba is an expert choice for a third sub or to allow tactical changes on the pitch without substitutions being made. The strong and versatile performances of Mumamba during Season 28 earned Mumamba a high profile transfer to defending Stellar Division champions Arcticala Inlet but he left the Electricians the following season to be apart of the growing Yeaddin Owls squad.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ 7 ] Rikko Rawaii [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 46 :: GOALS::SR: 11 )
Rawaii's dribbling ability coupled with lightning pace make him a threat any time he touches the ball, to create something even from nothing with a few quick moves. Rawaii is not known so much as a goalscorer, instead, an opportunity creator. Rawaii was named Player of the Year at Arcticala Inlet during Season 26 and was named Turorian player of the year during Season 27 when Inlet won the Tropical Trophy. Rawaii would win the Stellar Division with Arcticala Inlet during Season 29 finishing second in the goalscoring race.

[ 17 ] Cediici Tzatzos [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M R ( AGE: 26 CAPS: 46 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
A determined winger, Tzatzos is a product of the Strike Academy and remained a bit-part player for the club when the Vilitan League resumed for Season 26. Tzatsos was part of Strike's Stellar Division winning Season 27 side while being named Turorian Player of the Season, but when the success did not repeat itself during Season 28, Tzatzos was transfered to Kiiarana City.

[ 13 ] Vrotaoa Lorasoiba [ - Arcticala Inlet (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 5 )
Lorasoiba's impressive performances for Turoki United, including 5 goals during the V-League 26 season, earned a high-value transfer to top Vilitan side Arcticala Inlet AFC. While it took Lorasoiba some time to get settled into life on the big Island, Lorasoiba's performances were enough to get an invitation to the Turori National Training camp for World Cup 58.

[ 6 ] Raso Tareak [ - Yeaddin Owls (Vilita) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 41 :: GOALS::SR: 6 )
Tareak joined Jlinal Cove FC in Vilita for V-League 26 helping the club to a respectable 8th place finish. In V-League 27, Tareak's peformances improved with a pair of goals helping Jlinal to an all-time best finish of 4th place in the standings. Tareak's impressive performances in Jlinal earned him a transfer, first to Turorian UICA Champions League representatives Cednia Beach AFC, then to the Yeaddin Owls for V-League 30.

[ 38 ] Tiika Diirotora [ - Strike (Vilita) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Diirotora is a dedicated and well travelled midfielder who made a name for themselves while leading Kiiarana City to the Vilitan Cup Final in V-League 27. After starting their career in the Liguon Valley, Diirotora made the leap to the Stellar Division for Season 27 and the move payed off with 4 goals and a post season transfer back home to Turori with mega-club Cednia Beach AFC. Diirotora spent a season at Makosile before joining Strike for Season 30.

[ 16 ] Rutaj Ranaso [ - Kiiarana (Vilita) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 20 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Ranaso moved from Turori to the nearby island of Turoki to play for Mavaloiao FC in the Vilitan Declasse when the league resumed for Season 26. After 2 strong seasons at the Declasse side, Ranaso joined Stellar Division side Eastal Lunar for V-League Season 28 and helped them win the Vilitan Cup despite relegation from the Stellar Division.

FORWARDS:

[ 8 ] Liinai Zakazaka [ - Jlinal Cove FC (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 CAPS: 45 :: GOALS::SR: 20 )
Zakazaka joined Jlinal Cove FC for the V-League 27 season and gained some attention back in Turori for their contribution to the 'Cove's impressive top-4 finish in the final standings. Zakazaka was named Jlinal Cove's top player during Season 28.

[ 18 ] Loala Kigoouao [ - Turoki Tide - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 36 :: GOALS::SR: 16 )
Kigoouao signed for Morata Valley FC for V-League 26 and instantly made an impact at the Vilitan club, earning Top Goalscorer honors in the Declasse while leading Morata Valley to Stellar Division Promotion. Kigoouao was unfazed by the higher level of competition, upping the goal count to 16 in Season 27 and firmly setting the expectation that they would be the go-to forward for the Turori National Team in World Cup 58. Kigoouao was named Morata Valley player of the season during Season 27 and 28. After many outstanding seasons at Morata Valley, Kigoouao joined the Turoki Tide for V-League 30.

[ 19 ] Jukkia Diijelhma [ - Kionao Locals - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 19 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Born in Starblaydia, Diijelhma moved to Turori following V-League Season 26 to pursue a new career in the Island Emirate. Diijelhma was one of the few Kionao Locals players in their disasterous V-League 27 season to receive even neutral reviews. Despite scoring no goals on the season, the Striker showed some skill that was required for the Locals to avoid another relegation in Season 28, and also proved to be useful for the Turori National team.

[ 9 ] Anuh Ciniima [ - Morata Valley (Vilita) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 24 CAPS: 25 :: GOALS::SR: 4 )
Ciniima was born in Turori to Misrantian parents before moving to Vilita to study and train for his sporting career. The unselfish striker joined Morata Valley after their promotion to the Stellar Division for Season 27 as a compliment to Turorian Striker Loala Kigoouao. Ciniima, while able to put the ball in the net when needed, has shown to be an expert decision maker, recording twice as many assists as goals inside the box.

Zandistani Men's National Team

A year removed from their triumph in Ossidiacqua at the 48th Baptism of Fire, the ZNFA has prepared a team they hope will finish respectably in Group 11. After the suspensions following the scandal at the end of the BoF, nicknames have been dropped and there have been several replacements in the starting lineup, but overall it is a similar team, with only one uncapped starter. Four subs are new to the team, but are prepared to make their contribution over the qualifying campaign.

Zandistan has become more of a football-crazed nation in the year that has passed between their championship and now, and their national stadium will be packed to the rafters with screaming fans at every home game. They play their home games in Zandarling Park, capacity 62,750, in the country’s capital of Coastal Zandar.

STARTING XI

GK - 12 - age 24 - Juan Sánchez de la Mega (9 caps, 4 clean sheets)
A huge beast with near superhuman strength, he is supremely acrobatic in the goalmouth.

RB - 17 - age 22 - Scratch Tzingotürk (2 caps)
A young wing back off the streets of Coastal Zandar, he plays with speed and incredible precision.

CB - 4 - age 26 - Rudolf Werdenheimer (8 caps, 1 YC, 1 RC)
A wicked defender, he is well known for sending opponents off on the stretcher. He is probably lucky to only have one yellow and one red over his eight caps.

CB - 15 - age 24 - Johannes Werdenheimer (9 caps)
The younger brother of Rudolf, he sweeps up the balls that get past his brother, and he is a highly successful center back.

LB - 3 - age 25 - Avisajj Bunfogle (9 caps, 1 goal)
An expert at stealth, Bunfogle moves around the field largely silently, so Zandistan’s opponents frequently lose track of where he is.

CDM - 6 - age 23 - Melreund Mingot (0 caps, new)
The only newcomer in the starting eleven, Mingot is eager to make a good impression, and is reputed to be skilled at leading attacks.

RWM - 20 - age 20 - Jimmy-Phillip McRae (9 caps, 1 goal, 3 assists)
Easily the fastest member of the team, McRae is young and speedy and loves breaking down the wing to cross to strikers Domingo and Radonezh-Muratovich.

LWM - 23 - age 24 - Melbrue Tangari (9 caps, 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 YC)
Tangari plays with a flair for the game unmatched by most, dancing with the ball down the wing and often cutting inside to shoot.

CAM - 8 - age 24 - Travestino Bellucci (4 caps, 1 goal, 1 assist)
The team’s most-used sub in the Baptism of Fire, Bellucci is known for seamless through balls to the strikers and aerial passes to the team’s wingers.

ST - 9 - age 21 - Flavio Domingo (9 caps, 5 goals, 1 assist)
A pure talent, Domingo has a penchant for scoring beautiful golazos, and he scored both of Zandistan’s goals in the final of the Baptism of Fire.

ST - 11 - age 29 - Yuri Radonezh-Muratovich (captain) (9 caps, 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 YC)
The eldest of the starters, Radonezh-Muratovich is huge, with a menacing presence in the penalty area. He is slightly clumsy, commiting fouls, but keeps a level head at all times.

Substitutes

GK - 1 - age 31 - Merc Willer (0 caps, new)
Merc is the new keeper on the Zandistani squad but is nevertheless second string due to Thomas’ futility and Willer’s own recent emergence.

GK - 18 - age 26 - Wilfried Thomas (0 caps, was listed on BoF roster)
Thomas is only on the roster in case of strange circumstances or injuries felling both de la Mega and Willer, but he and every other Zandistani hopes he will never play.

LB - 13 - age 21 - Igor Vasilchenko (0 caps, new)
Vasilchenko is the team’s new wing back replacing the suspended Schmid. Due to the skill of the players ahead of him, he will have to be lucky to see much playing time, but the coaches are eager to see his potential skill.

CB - 5 - age 18 - Ingmeier Britzlstein (3 caps)
Britzlstein was also fished from the Coastal Zandar streets, one of the members of the band of children led by Scratch Tzingotürk, and proved his solidness at center back when Rudolf Werdenheimer sat out for red card suspensions.

CM - 19 - age 24 - Oltotur Wiismanen (0 caps, new)
Wiismanen is the new central midfield, the position likely to be weakest for Zandistan after the suspensions of von Zanderstrom and Stenhoffer, so it would not be a big surprise to see Wiismanen replace Melreund Mingot in the starting lineup.

LWM - 7 - age 23 - Nikolaas van Oolsjoy (4 caps, 1 goal)
Van Oolsjoy, the only Zandistani with an international goal to not start, was frustrated at remaining a substitute but knows that Zandistan has quality in the wings. Still, he figures to play a major role coming in late in the game.

ST - 10 - age 22 - Bertrand Miguel (0 caps, new)
Miguel is another new addition to the squad and may make some late-game appearances to rest the strong striker Radonezh-Muratovich and occasionally the star Domingo.

Zandistan officially plays a 4-4-2, diamond midfield, but usually the wingers push into a 4-1-3-2

COACHING STAFF

Head Coach - Drago Vilisević
Promoted to head coach after essentially serving that role in the Baptism of Fire, he has been liberated from having to give the advice of Schwartz. Always enthusiastic, he infuses energy into his players constantly and the team views him as the perfect coach.

Assistant Coach - Boonerand Rommendell
Rommendell was promoted to assistant coach similar to the way Vilisević did, moving up the ladder following Schwartz’s departure. He often works quietly in the background but keeps the team together, fleshing out small disputes among the players.

Trainer - Australo Camini
Camini keeps the players fit, which will probably mean a smaller role as games take place nearly every day. Game, travel, game, travel, and smaller time for training but Camini has prepared the players to survive an 18 matchday qualifying stretch.

Public Relations - Wisker Melcumbria
Melcumbria was hired in the wake of the Baptism of Fire scandal to smooth over any particular issues that could emerge, making sure that the media stays quiet and the country keeps a good reputation internationally.

Armed Bears
(alias ‘The Bear-Belles’...)

For the information of those amongst you who are fairly new to NS Sports: Yes, this is is a team — and nation — consisting primarily of anthropomorphic Bears.
For the information of those amongst you who have already been around NS Sports for a while: Yes, this nation does have the same player as Bears Armed… but IC, instead of this nation being a ‘puppet’ of that other country, they are actually ‘alternative reality’ counterparts of each other and didn’t even know of each other’s existence before this tournament.
The current year in Armed Bears converts into the Gregorian calendar as 2025AD, even though for footballers from Bears Armed (whose own international debut, BoF31, was in 2008AD…), it is now 2077AD or thereabouts instead!

This is another all-female team, for the same reason that Bears Armed’s team falls into that category: The main ball-game that's traditionally been played in their homeland so far is actually a form of Rugby, but [for several reasons] the professional league for that sport is all-male and so a few years ago (in 2006AD, actually) some of the female players decided that switching to Soccer instead -- and trying to establish a professional league for that -- might be a viable alternative.

Owing to an accidental problem with the wording of their contracts, which established the situation as binding on both sides for four World Cups rather than just for four years as should have been the case, this is the same set of players that the country sent to BoF#45 and to WCs 58-60. The ages & lengths of experience given here are accurate for the first half of the qualifiers, but you'll need to add 1 year for them during second half of qualifiers and another 1 year for them during either World Cup (if they get there) or Cup of Harmony if you want the correct values then: All of these people are actually a year older than those figures state 'objectively', but somehow missed a year of 'subjective' time while visiting WA HQ (and its infamous Strangers' Bar, where time paradoxes were already far from unknown...) in between the WC58 & WC59 cycles.

Almost all of the players are actual Ursines (i.e. anthropomorpic, bipedal Bears), but there are also two [female] members from the Harr'aynau people -- who are physically human (more-or-less, although inclined towards heavy builds & hairyness) but spiritually & culturally Ursine instead -- as well one player from yet another non-Ursine minority.

Deputy Manager: Harrya o Herrchaum
(Ursine female from Clan Herrchaum; transferred to management/coaching team two years ago, after the team failed to qualify for WC60 & didn't receive its Cup of Harmony invitation in time to reply successfully; before then was a player, in thsi team and for the ''Mighty Redwoods'; category = Striker, preferred position = Right Forward, Soccer experience = 20 years as player & 2 as coach; age = 44, left-pawed, fur = light brown.)

Roster

(#2) Urratharra o Strongpaw _ Clan = March, home team = ‘Mighty Marchers’, category = Defender, usual position = Left Back, Soccer experience = 18 years; age = 33, right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown.
(#3) Borrinna o HighPeaks _ Clan = Redwood, home team = ‘Free City Furies’, category = Defender, usual position = Right Back, Soccer experience = 19 years; age = 36, left-pawed, fur = light-medium brown & quite long.
(#15) Correene o SwanWater _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = 'Heroes's Park Harlequins', Soccer experience = 16 years, category = Defender, preferred position = Right Back; age = 33, right-pawed, fur = medium-brown.
(#16) Beorra o Hrarth-Surra _ Clan = SouthWoods, home team = Harr Surrann Havocs, Soccer experience = 18 years, category = Defender, preferred position = Left Back; age = 36, left-pawed, fur = medium brown.

(#4) Marra SunDaughter _ Clan = Sun, home team = 'Sun Valley Smashers', category = Midfielder or Defender, usual position = Centre Half or Centre Back, Soccer experience = 20 years experience; age = 39, left-pawed, fur = golden-brown, good eyesight even by human (rather than Ursine) standards. She is the team's CAPTAIN.
(#5) Marra-Urra o Redwood _ Clan = Redwood, home team = 'Mighty Redwoods', category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Left, Soccer experience = 18 years; age = 35, left-pawed, fur = medium brown.
(#6) Beorrtha o Parram _ Clan = WildWoods, home team = 'LakePort Lionesses', category = Midfielder, usual position = Midfield Right, Soccer experience = 17 years; age = 34, left-pawed, fur = medium brown.
(#17) Karra Thunder _ Clan = Gunnar, home team = PassPort Athletic, Soccer experience = 15 years, category = Midfielder, preferred position = Midfield Left; age = 30, left-pawed, fur = dark brown.
(#20) Zargie o Harruor _ Clan = Harruor Erruur, home team = 'LakePort Lionesses', category = Midfielder, preferred position = Midfield Centre, Soccer experience = 16 years; age = 32, left-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown.
(#21) Ilga NorthWalker _ Clan = WildWoods, home team = ‘WildFair Warriors’, Soccer experience = 15 years, category = Midfielder, preferred position = Midfield Right; a member of the Harr’aynau people, age = 32, right-footed, red-haired.

(#7) Beorra ‘The Locomotive’ o Barrdenn _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = 'Barrdenn Barbariennes', category = Striker, usual position = Left Forward, Soccer experience = 15 years; age = 39, left-pawed, fur = medium brown. Her nickname comes from the fact that she's big, fast, tough, and definitely intimidating...
(#10) Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlessed _ Clan = Sun, home team = ‘Sun Valley Smashers’, category = Forward or Midfielder, usual position = Centre Forward, Soccer experience = 17 years; age = 33 (but looks & acts rather younger), right-pawed, fur = honey-brown, very good eyesight even by human (rather than Ursine) standards. She is a very accurate kicker, and therefore the usual first choice for taking free kicks & penalties; her nickname comes from her fur-colour, her very sweet nature, and (it must be admitted) the fact that she's a bit thick (but her 17 years experience of Soccer means that, by now, even she's pretty unlikely to make the mistake of trying to play Rugby instead despite that thickness...).

(#11) Karramarsar Sarra _ Clan = Ostbora, home team = 'Victories of Vichr', category = Striker/Winger, usual position = either Right Forward or Right Winger, Soccer experience = 17 years; age = 33, right-pawed, fur = medium brown & fairly long. She is the identical twin sister of Karramarsar Karra, #13, with whom she has a close mental rapport that’s very useful for teamwork, and they're both pretty bright anyway.
(#13) Karramarsar Karra _ Clan = Ostbora, home team = 'Victories of Vichr', category = Striker/Winger, usual position = either Right Forward or Right Winger, Soccer experience = 17 years; age = 33, right-pawed, fur = medium brown & fairly long. She is the identical twin sister of Karramarsar Sarra, #11.
(#24) Marrla o GreenWoods _ Clan = GreenWoods, home team = 'National U Tigers', category = Striker, preferred position = Centre Forward, Soccer experience = 15 years; age = 33, left-pawed, fur = dark brown.
(#25) Beorranna o Dawn _ Clan = Urrset, home team = ‘Sun Valley Smashers’, category = Striker/Winger, preferred position = Left Forward, Soccer experience = 16 years; age = 32, right-pawed, fur = light brown with a red tinge.
(#26) Burli Shassie _ Clan = Eastern League, home team = ‘Mirron Marvels’, category = Striker, preferred position = Left Forward, Soccer experience = 18 years; age = 37, left-pawed, fur = light brown; actually wants to become a professional singer.
(#32) Harroya ‘of the Rovers’ o Redwood _ Clan = Redwood, home team = Merlchester Rovers, category = Striker, preferred position = Right Forward, Soccer experience = 19 years; age = 34, left-pawed, fur = light brown; she will NOT break the rules (not even at the 'yellow card' level), managing to be an “attacking” player without being an “aggressive” one... Good at setting up goals for her team-mates, but only seems to score herself when the team really NEEDS that goal.

(#12) Ulga WestWalker _ Clan = WildWoods), home team = [just signed by] ‘LakePort Lionesses’, category = Winger or Midfielder, usual position = either Left Winger or Midfield Left, Soccer experience = 20 years; from the Harr’ayanau people, age = 37, right-footed, red-haired, very fast on her feet.
(#27) Harroya ‘She-Lion’ Lightning _ Clan = Gunnar, home team = 'LakePort Lionesses', category = Winger, preferred position = Left Winger, Soccer experience = 17 years; age = 32, left-pawed, fur = light brown.
(#30) Marranna o Westside _ Clan = WestWoods, home team = 'WestPort Wanderers', category = Winger, preferred position = Left Winger, Soccer experience = 17 years; age = 31, right-pawed, fur = dark-medium brown..
(#31) Verrina Serrnarra’s-daughter _ Clan = Verravokssur (Free Sept), home team = 'Vasrrorgrath Valkyrrs', category = Winger, preferred position = Right Winger, Soccer experience = 16 years; a member of the Verra’vokkssur people (who are anthropomorphic foxes; that’s as in fairly LARGE anthropomorphic foxes, she’s 6’1” tall), age = 35, ambidextrous, fur = orange-red.

Usual Starters = #1-8, 11-13.
Usual Substitutes = # 14, 15, 20, 23-25, 27.

Style = +3.5… “A good offence is the best defence”.
Their usual formation will include a front row of at least 5 (normally as 3 strikers & 2 wingers), plus either 3 midfield & 2 backs or 2 midfield & 3 backs, plus of course the goalkeeper.

Kits
Home = bright yellow, with the bear's-paw emblem (as on the national flag) in bright green on both front & back of the shirt.
Away = bright green, with the bear's-paw emblem (as on the national flag) in bright yellow on both front & back of the shirt.
Goalkeepers = shirt “quartered” (both front & back) in yellow & green, with bears-paw emblem in maroon. Shorts yellow on left & green on right, socks vice versa.
(Identifying numbers & players’ names will be in black if on yellow, or in white if on green: Armed Bears has traditionally used base-8 arithmetic, for several reasons, so the sequence used here will be _ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, etc...)

Home Ground

All of the team’s ‘home’ games during the first half of this Cup’s qualifying stage will be played in the Royal Arena at Urrath-am-Barrah, the nation’s capital city, which can seat approximately 60’000 people. Up to 10’000 places will be available for visitors.
The easiest means of access to this nation will be by means of an ancient (and probably magical) set of “Gates”, whose keepers can open them to locations in the other countries concerned if those other nations are willing to accept this: Otherwise, it will require a sea-voyage to one of our neighbours and then a quite lengthy journey overland by rail or road…

RP Permisions

Opponents may _

Choose my goalscorers: Y (but when I post the roster I'll suggest the most likely candidates for this)
Godmod Scoring Events: Y

RP injuries to my players / Godmod injuries to my players / Hand out Yellow cards to my players / Hand out Red cards to my players: Y to all, at least to start with, but remember what I've written here and keep it in limits accordingly... Any serious offences by my players would probably result in injuries to your players, and causing any serious injuries to my players would probably require such obviously-deliberate attacks that your players would get yellow or even red cards as a result too.

Godmod Other Events: Y, I suppose... but please remember that Ursines are fully sapient beings, as much as Humans are (well, almost so, anyway....), NOT instinct-driven animals. Oh, and of course female Ursines are NOT sexually interested in Humans (of either sex), and it's very unlikely that female Harr'ayanau would be either.

_____________________________________________________________________

Notes
Ursines may tend to be a bit less agile & slower to accelerate than humans on average, but this team's members were carefully selected so the gap between them & their opponents in this respect should be narrower than some people might expect. They do tend to have slightly poorer eyesight than humans, on the whole, so that long-distance passes & shots at goal will be rarer behaviour for them than they are for human teams... but their size & strength mean that when they're running with the ball it will probably take a very brave human -- as well as a very skilled one -- to tackle them successfully, which should balance that factor pretty well.
They're physically robust, of course, which means that they're less likely than humans to suffer injuries in falls or collisions but also that the form of Rugby in which most of them played before switching to Soccer was even more physical than the humans' versions of that game... and unfortunately some of them might forget the change of rules, in the excitement of the match, and use those tactics here...
Forgetting that they're playing Soccer now, rather than 'Ursine-Rules' Rugby, will actually be the most likely reason for any rule-breaking that they might commit, but they're generally bright enough not to make such a mistake more than once per match per player (and after one of them has been penalised for doing so in any particular way it's fairly unlikely that any others would repeat the exact same mistake...). The females of this species are mote even-tempered than the males, and the team's members will try to stay on their best behaviour not only in order to do well in this contest (which they probably need to do in order for their planned Soccer league to become a reality) but also to impress upon the watching humans that Ursines aren't just “dumb beast”. They will not 'dive', or feign injury in other ways, because suggesting that they could be harmed so easily goes strongly against the grain.

If the organisers permit then the team's members, including subsititutes, will do a [short] traditional war-dance (similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' 'haka'...), on the pitch, just before each match begins: This is called the 'Harrdiharr'... ;-)

It Worked So One More Time

After becoming the most successful World Cup team in living memory for Milchama to take even one player off the roster was to risk inciting huge riots across the nation. So with that the MFA had no choice but to keep the same roster, at least for one more World Cup. The slogan this time: "One more chance! One more chance!" and so on.

It's exciting and stuff.

Former Oasirican Republic of Ossidiacqua

Roster for World Cup 61

Image

ESSENTIAL BACKGROUND:
Ossidiacqua is a nation coming blinking into the light of the international community. In what seems like mere years ago for most nations, as Oasirica, they sent a team to the Baptism of Fire. Meanwhile, at home, with a terrible disease name la Plaga ravaging the country, the academics of the nation prepared to put up a time wall around the central hospital that would allow medics and scientists on the inside to spend months developing a cure or vaccine for la Plaga, whilst only days passed outside the time wall, allowing the maximum population to be saved. However, it went wrong, and the time wall surrounded the entire nation, cutting off the baptism of fire squad. Months passed outside the wall, whilst inside it, la Plaga decimated the native population, leaving Djocorangan refugees in the nation untouched, ensuring they became the primary caregivers and nation re-builders.

The time wall eventually dissipated after 270 years, labelled 'The Pause Time' by those inside the wall, revealing the nation of Ossidiacqua to the world for the first time. It was a much changed place, the weather, land, and cities had all changed, and the genetic heritage of the population had shifted from 99% Oasirican and 1% Other, to 97% Djocorangan and 3% Old Oasirican and the paragraphs below the roster go some way to explaining some of what has happened as a consequence. You are also encouraged to read the series of RPs written during Oasirica's BoF, as they will provide a lot of back story that informs this complicated nation:
Cabinet One
Cabinet Two
Cabinet Three
Cabinet Four
Cabinet Five
Cabinet Six
Cabinet Seven
Cabinet Eight
Cabinet Nine
Cabinet Ten

ROSTER AND TACTICS:
After the wall fell, the Ossidiacquan Football Federation was aware of the Baptism of Fire team being sent, and upon hearing of how they finished as runners-up in the end, and being informed that they hadn't missed the start of world cup qualification, decided that they still had a contract to fulfil, and got together a team to play in these qualifiers. Many of the isolated team, nicknamed the Lost Boys, could not take being torn apart from their families and homeland, and more than a few committed suicide during their separation. The others, upon being reunited, decided they could not carry on playing football, and decided to give up the sport as they tried to come to terms with what had happened. A few stayed on in advisory roles, but as a mark of respect for their fallen comrades, the survivors of the Lost Boys decided that the qualification came too soon, and the wounds were still too deep.

However, just as time inflicted these wounds, so it is that time heals the very same wounds, and a few of the squad signalled their willing to be considered for the Cup of Harmony squad, following the team's promising qualifying campaign. Some even remained in the squad for the following qualifying campaign, Ossidiacqua's third, though all have now stopped making themselves available for selection.

So, here is the squad, nicknamed la Renaissance, as put together by manager Alessio Cardinale, and his two assistants Gregorio Di Falco, and Yoann Vega. It is an squad full of promise, with several young players waiting in the wings to learn from some of the ageing players who may not make the next squad.

The Acquan game has been cut off from the rest of the multiverse for 270 years, and as such has developed a unique flavour and style of its own. Short passes, keeping possession, and running are the key to the majority of play, with Acquan teams keen to instil a sense of duty in their players that leads to any of them being able to play or deputise in any other position during the course of a match. The players are very capable with the ball, and have developed tricks and flicks enough to bamboozle any opponent, way ahead of their time as far as the rest of the multiverse is looking at it. However, they have much to learn about the way the rest of the footballing community plays their game, and with the Acquan game developing a far higher tolerance for rough and tumble, even the silkiest of attacking forwards (and in this squad there are four outstanding interchangeable strikers) can find themselves sent off for an illegal tackle that would have been perfectly legal in the Acquan leagues. Therefore, it would be of great help to me if you could RP my team as technically gifted, but tactically naive. Thank you.

Home Stadium: An archaic stone construction in the centre of Sant'Elia, Il Colosseo. Lit by oil lamps and featuring vast walls of stained glass, it seats 103,450 and is a treasured landmark, being one of the first building built by Acquans following the eradication of la Plaga, as the nation began to reinvent itself during the Pause Time.

FURTHER BACKGROUND:
The land of Oasirica was a large and beautiful one. After suffering the ravages of an unpredictable climate and loss of knowledge during the Pause Time, it has been transformed by the Djocorangan survivors of la Plaga into the Former Oasirican Republic of Ossidiacqua. Consisting of one main island and a handful of surrounding smaller ones, it can be found towards the north-west of the Vatmark region of Rushmore. The capital city of Sant'Elia is by far the biggest conurbation, and it whilst it used to shine with its golden spires and silver domes, it is now a shambolic and chaotic mix of alleyways and squares and piazzas, though the Acquans are making every effort to restore the city to its former glory, even getting the steam powered monorail back up and running, and employing a dirigible courier service.

Clean running water used to flow across the land and around the cities in an extensive network of aqueducts, channels, and canals. The continued eruption of volcanoes in the large Patriarchate of Vul in the east of the country during the Pause Time has affected this however, located over extensive mineral deposits as they were. These deposits included a huge amount of obsidian, obsidian that was distributed through the land in huge quantities, tainting the water, and giving the nation its new name. The water the flows is now nearly jet black in colour, and requires extensive treatment before it can be used as drinking water, leading the Acquans to rely on condensers that extract moisture from the dry air and from boiled off water vats often situated near rivers. These condensers often break, and are fixed by tech-priests who use mainly copycat work and guesses accompanied by some rather frenzied prayer rather than any informed ability to fix and maintain the machines, the knowledge for which died with the rapid spread of la Plaga. The weather is taking longer to recover from the time wall than expected, and the land whilst not particularly hot, is still exceptionally dry. The Oasiricans were a highly educated and cultured race, and the fall and loss of knowledge is embarrassing to the Acquans.

The patriarchate governmental system has moved from the old religion to one offering praise to a mechanical deity of no name, only various titles, with tech-priests and those in the Magisterium holding a high amount of respect. Since the dubious death of the former president, it is the maniacal High Cardinal Giocomo Re who is in charge of the country, supposedly on an interim basis.

Football in Ossidiacqua is the national sport, and support is fanatical, with excitement only increasing in intensity thanks to the recent successful hosting of the Baptism of Fire alongside Iturributa. The Campiocinato continued during the Pause Time as a way to keep spirits up and has been running for 314 seasons as the football league structure in the country, with three divisions, A-Liga, B-Liga, and C-Liga. The league has dominated by the three big Sant'Elia clubs; CA Conquistadores (67 Campiocinatos), Condensadores CD (62), Caballeros CF (58), as well as by Qolo-Qolo (47). Internazionale (23), Atletico Sant'Elia (17), Unión Gimignano CF (17), AS Débardeurs Nationale (11), Magisterio AC (9), Académica di Terrabianco (4), RCD San Marco (1), Clube Cobreloa (1), and FC Sommieres Hibernia (1) are the other clubs to have sealed a title so far. Most big clubs are represented in the selection of players to go to the Cup of Harmony, as they were for the BoF and qualifying campaign, with captain Ricardo Velasquez, descendant of the legendary captain Stefano Velasquez, looking to unite the usually very partisan fans of the Sant'Elia clubs so that they may get behind and support the team.

Mytanar National Football Team.

Manager - Sergyei Arefev
A new coach has been brought in to try and gain a bit more success with the national team. Arefev is 42 and is well known for his efficient tactics, he doesn't use too many flamboyant players, preferring players to work well as a unit and make good use of the ball. He does allow for a bit of creativity where the new face of Mytnanar football is concerned, Snerik Oiskha will play behind the two strikers in this formation and will be allowed to roam about a bit and try to disrupt opposition's defensive plans. Other than this, the team will be all about tough, well-organised football. The goal with this team will be to concede as few goals as possible and make good use of the counter-attack in order to get the ball to the physical strikeforce that is being used in this team. A strong defence is being boasted about heavily again, so the main hope in this team will be that they keep it tight at their own end and then nicking one at the other end. The team is playing with no width whatsoever, with the two central midfielders playing quite deep too - so expect attacks down the wings being quite effective but pretty passing through the middle should be easily stopped with the middle of the park being extremely congested.

Starting XI.
GK: #1 - Demy de Zooijt - Age 28 - East Franz Athletic (Polar Islandstates) - 34 caps
The tall, rangy and most importantly, reliable de Zooijt is back for another tournament. He's only got 34 caps, even if it seems like he's been around for ages. He takes control of his area and makes sure that everybody knows what is going on at all times, barking commands from the back that can be heard all over the field. He is one player under constant surveillance by the KGB because he plays for a foreign team.

LB: #2 - Hannes Urz - Age 30 - SK Franz Josef City (Polar Islandstates) - 31 caps
Urz is a storming full back, who runs up and down the line all game long. He will have to be more disciplined for the national side however, as Arefev uses more rigid formation tactics than Urz is perhaps used to. He is another that plays in Polar Islandstates, and therefore is another who will be watched constantly by the secret police in case he is trying to spread evil capitalist lies amongst the team.

CB: #3 - Martin Latka - Age 23 - SK Aasiaat Harbour (Polar Islandstates) - 14 caps
Latka is huge, standing at 6'7, pretty much because of this, he is good in the air. He is a tough defender, tackling hard and often leaving a mark on the player as well as the ball. He isn't overly aggressive however and wouldn't deliberately go in to hurt an opposition player. His marking often leaves something to be desired, which may not work in Arefev's system of man marking. The KGB will survey him, but don't expect him to be spreading capitalist propaganda as he is a proponent of the socialist system.

CB: #4 - Ole Gyulla - Age 36 - East Franz Athletic (Polar Islandstates) - 29 caps, 1 goal
Gyulla is the old man of the team, being the oldest player selected and is another playing in Polar Islandstates. He is a tough tackling, strong centre back, but he lacks pace and so can be beaten by a pacy striker. He won't be beaten in the air, but put a ball around him with someone running onto it and he could well be stranded at the back. He will have to be closely watched by the KGB, he is expected to be someone who spreads lies about how good the capitalist system is as he has family and has experienced the system and its' alleged 'good side' with them.

RB: #5 - Dennis Adkvissen - Age 22 - SK Aasiaat Harbour (Polar Islandstates) - 5 caps
Adkvissen is a good defensive full back, contrasting to Urz. Happily enough for the national team, this suits the system they intend to play for years to come - and another thing that will make Arefev happy is the fact that Adkvissen is young, so can play in this role for years to come, hopefully. Of course, Arefev is expected to get success and if he doesn't, the KGB will take him from the role late one night and dispose of him. The same could happen to Adkvissen quite easily too - as he is another expected to spread anti-Mytanar propaganda that could easily hurt our great nation that runs with the best system the world has ever set eyes upon.

CDM: #6 - Musa Kiril - Age 34 - Litala '93 - 14 caps
Kiril is extremely important to the way that the national side plays, he breaks up the play and then does the job of distributing the ball with an assorted mixture of long, searching passes and simple sideways passes to players like Hjik who are expected to do more with it. Kiril is one of the poster boys of the team, as he is hugely patriotic and believes highly in the communist regime. The KGB will do their best to get him as much of the spotlight as possible so they can highlight the glorious Mytanar system.

CM: #7 - Robin Hjik - Age 34 - SK Franz Josef City (Polar Islandstates) - 108 caps, 47 goals (Captain)
Hjik is the main man in this team, his international record speaks for itself. A goal every two and a half games, inspirational play as the captain and clever passing make him the important cog that drives the teams forward. Hjik has been with the national team since he was 15, in World Cup 53, when he plays in World Cup 61, he will have played in 9 World Cups, an insane amount of tournaments. He is the main man in this team and the man a generation of young Mytanars continue to look to for inspiration. The KGB won't watch him, he is allowed freedom to do as he wishes as our communist system allows, he already has the Hero of the Soyuz Union honour, for services to the Soyuz Union.

CM: #8 - Niek van der Zwan - Age 26 - FC Axel Heiburg (Polar Islandstates) - 62 caps, 18 goals
This man should probably have more goals than he does for his nation, his talent belies the fact that he doesn't score all that often even though he has the ability to do so. He was expected to have a stellar career when he first figured for Torpedo Vershina all those years ago, but now at FC Axel Heiburg in the Polar Islandstates, where he plays an important role in the team - he has captained them and has helped them become a great club domestically. If he had fulfilled his potential for the national side he could easily be in the Robin Hjik role right now.

AM: #10 - Snerik Oiskha - Age 17 - Atletik Thessia - 0/0
Oiskha will be used as the creative heartbeat of the team, he plays for Atletik Thessia - the most successful Mytanar team ever. The team that has produced talents like Robin Hjik, he will be the one who creates problems for the opposition in their final third by picking killer passes and having close control to ghost through defences. His movement will be key too, he should be able to create space where others cannot, which should give him room to work the ball, something that will be important if our long-ball tactic doesn't work. Snerik hasn't seen how decadent the capitalist system is, so the KGB will not need to watch him in case he decides to spread lies about it in our nation.

ST: #9 - Salum Merec - Age 32 - Echegoyan FC (Astograth) - 35/20
Merec is a strong forward, he has lost a yard of pace over the years but compensates this with improving his movement and his awareness on the field. He is lethal in the air, but is equally good when he has the ball at his feet and he is expected to be the main goalscoring threat from this team. He was only picked late on in his career, which is perhaps why he has so few caps - if he had been spotted earlier he could have had a whole lot more. He plies his trade in a glorious nation that employs a system fairly similar to our own in social terms, economically it is lacking slightly, we feel. The KGB will watch so he does not spread lies about their economic system.

ST: #11 - Dzala Ertobashia - Age 17 - 1896 Ebor - 0/0
A complete newbie is being used as a striker to counteract Merec's skills. Ertobashia has pace, but is also tall at 6'4, meaning he is still a physical presence up top. He is strong and good on the ball. His finishing needs a bit of work, but once again, he is deadly when the ball is in the air. He is seen as being a risky choice by Arefev, but if it works, very few will mind in Mytannion. Ertobashia is going to be used to spread the communist message around the globe, he is the young new face of Mytanar sport and it is hoped he will be able to show how the communist system triumphs over all others.

Substitutes.

Permissions: Assume yes to all, Mytanar fans are well known to be hooligans and with political changes in the nation recently there could well be problems at games hosted in the nation. The secret police will be present at all games, so you can make heavy use of shady looking officials if you wish. If you lose blame it on them, food poisoning, yep, bugging the opposition's changing rooms, check, getting citizens to stand outside your team's hotel and make a lot of noise all night, we can do that.

More will come to light about the political situation throughout the tournament, hopefully.
