Lykosian Republican Army

Kartika Eka Paksi

The Lykosian Republican Army (LRA), commonly known as the Republican Army (Indonesian: Angkatan Darat Republik Lykosia) is the land component of the armed forces of the Unitary Republic of Lykosia which has approximately over 8,132,956 active personnels.

A reorganization in 1990 made significant changes in the army chain of command. The four multiservice Regional Defense Commands (REDECOM) and the National Strategic Command (NATSCOM) were eliminated from the defense structure, re-establishing the Military Territorial Command (MITERC), or regional command, as the key organization for strategic, tactical, and territorial operations for all services. The chain of command flowed directly from the LRF commander in chief to the seven MITERC commanders.

From 1980 to 1990, the Army had been organized into numerous divisions. These were consolidated in 1986, and then eliminated in 1993. In August 1993, the Lykosian Army reorganized its territorial commands. There's be seven MITERCs, which retained earlier divisional titles; the Harmonia Division, for example, became MITERC I/Harmonia.
Currently there's seven Military Area Commands:
  • MITERC I/Harmonia; overseeing Harmonia territory
  • MITERC II/Timberland; overseeing Timberland territory
  • MITERC III/Amiciterra; overseeing Amiciterra territory
  • MITERC IV/Snow Plains; overseeing Snow Plains territory
  • MITERC V/Ferranus; overseeing Ferranus territory
