The deck of a Rebel class carrier is a layered steel-aluminum-titanium alloy reaching a thickness of 16 inches, fully protecting the interior from direct hits on the deck. The belt armor of the Rebel class is a 40mm-60mm-20mm Steel, Uranium, and Aluminum respectively. Here huge armor level gives the ship a tonnage of 106 000.
A price of 8.3 billion-10 billion is estimated by the DnDY financial division.
Potestas class Carrier
Propulsion
The Potestas class carrier is powered by the Derpedian designed DnDY DP-2 Nuclear Propulsion System, which utilizes 2 DP-2 reactors powering 4 DnDY-PWT's for a shaft horsepower of 230 000. This power output allows the vessel to reach speeds of over 30knots in calm seas. Due to the nature of the DnDY DP-2 reactors, refueling is only required once every 25 years, allowing for unlimited range short of equipment for crew and aircraft.
Sensory
Derpedian Naval vessels utilize the nation's satellite network for their primary communications, and also take information from the OS-10 ICBM Warning Network and SKYCOM-1 Satellite Intelligence System. As such, this makes the Potestas class fully capable of integration within a nation's satellite network, allowing for quick information gathering and ship-to-ship communication. As well as, the SKYCOM-1 system tracks thousands of targets worldwide, using the OS-10's heat-signature identification to locate aerial threats such as missiles, incoming aircraft, and conventional fire. The name for this system is AN/SPY-1. The AN/SPY-1 system entails sonar, decimetric radar (targeting, tracking, and flight control), and satellite information to allow for a complete intelligence picture. The full working range of AN/SP-1 is 1100km for detection, with accurate targeting at 800km*.
Weapons Systems
Unlike the entry level Rebel class carrier, the Potestas is equipped with the Derpedian Navy's premier missile system, the Cv-X. Due to the limited space on board for such a system the Cv-X2a missile has been chosen to fill the role that normally, the CV-X1 would. Unable to be equipped with nuclear warheads, the smaller Cv-X2a still contains the propellant required to maintain a 400+ km range, and the smaller size reduces her radar signature. 2 rows of VLT are located on the foreward deck of the ship, for a total of 20 tubes. Enough space for two reloads is below deck. As well as the Cv-X2a's, the standard Tower Defense platform is integrated into the vessel. 2 Krakatoa 20mm Ultra Rapid Fire Cannon provide CIWS, while 2 blocks of SeaHawk missiles provide medium distance defense for the Potestas class. For defense against below-surface threats, two MU90 Impact torpedo tubes are located in the rear of the vessel, in swing out compartments. Capable of launching 4 acoustic-honing torpedoes in the defensive role, or offensive role. On deck,32 aircraft can be placed at the ready at one time, with the remaining below deck storage for 63 more aircraft.
Armor
The armor on board the Potestas is divided amongst the primary systems, as well as a layer of belt armor below the water line. sandwiched between the steel hull plats is 20mm of Titanium/Aluminum alloy to protect against torpedo strikes. Above deck, the Missile Command, Reactor, and Sensory modules are protected by 20mm of Titanium/ Depleted Uranium mixed alloy. This balance between defense and speed allows for the Potestas to take a hit and keep moving.
The estimated tonnage of a Potestas class carrier is 65 000 tonnes. Pricing by Derpedian DockYards is 4 billion NSD
Triumph class SuperCarrier
Propulsion
The Triumph class supercarrier is driven by 2 DnDY DP-2 Nuclear Reactors, driving along 6 DnDY Pressurized Water Turbines (PWT'S) propelling the Triumph at speeds of up to 32 knots. The reactors themselves have a 20 year refuel period, giving the vessel theoretically infinite range only to be inhibited by crew rotation and expendable supplies.
Sensory
Derpedian Naval vessels utilize the nation's satellite network for their primary communications, and also take information from the OS-10 ICBM Warning Network and SKYCOM-1 Satellite Intelligence System. As such, this makes the Triumph class fully capable of integration within a nation's satellite network, allowing for quick information gathering and ship-to-ship communication. As well as, the SKYCOM-1 system tracks thousands of targets worldwide, using the OS-10's heat-signature identification to locate aerial threats such as missiles, incoming aircraft, and conventional fire. The full working range of AN/SP-1 is 1100km for detection, with accurate targeting at 800km.
Weapons Systems
The Triumph class supercarrier has at the bow and stern, two 155 mm Krakek K-3 cannon. Capable of firing 22 rounds a minute, the K-3 is the entry-level surface vessel cannon of the Derpedian Grand Navy's heavy hitters. The decision to arm an aircraft carrer with such large cannon comes from the continued neccesity to prevent direct conflict with the vessel. It is often much smarter to avoid conflict via intimidation rather then bring it upon oneself due to lack of armament. A such, the 2 K-3 will prevent attempted strikes by torpedo boats and frigates. As well as the two K-3's, there are 4 MU90 Impact torpedo tubes in swing out launchers along each side of the Triumph class. Utilizing acoustic homing technology, the torpedos are insurance againt submarine attacks against the vessel. For aerial defence, the Triumph utilizes 3 Krakatoa 20mm Ultra Rapid Fire Cannon for CIWS. For mid-range aerial/SAM engagements, the SeaHawk RAM missile system is employed. 28 VLT are position near the superstructure, offering interception capabilities of 100+km range.
Air Wing
The Triumph is a huge vessel, specifically designed to carry 300 Stargazer fighters for the nation of Vetega. On deck there is space for 110 Stargazer's, and below deck the aerial component includes 50 more BlackHawk bombers for long range strikes on land and sea. This large air contingent makes the Triumph a naval centerpiece for any fleet.
Armor
The Triumph utilizes the 20/30/20mm sandwhiched steel/titanium/steel armor pattern across the deck weak points and over vital systems. Below deck, a layer of 20mm steel over 20mm of steel/Molyebdenum/Titanium alloy gives advanced protection and increased tensile strength. The Triumph can take quit a few hits and keep going, allowing for continual aerial projection in extended combat situations.
Tonnage of the Triumph is 190 000 long tonnes, with a length of 310 meters. This massive vessel is a restricted purchase, and comes with a price tag of 11 billion NSD.
Harrowing Class
Propulsion
The Harrowing class LHA vessel is powered by a single DnDY DP-2 Nuclear Propulsion system, with 3 DnDY Pressurized Water Turbines for a shaft horsepower of 110 000. Coupled with 2 DnDY D-6 gas turbines, the Harrowing class LHA can sustain speeds of up to 30 knots in calm seas for short periods of time. Running solely on her DP-2 NPS, the vessel can cruise at 23 knots without strain on her engines. Due to the nature of nuclear power, her range is indefinite short of refueling periods every 25 years.
Sensory
As the standard amongst Derpedian DockYards vessels, the Harrowing class ship comes equipped with the AN/SPY-1 Radar Detection System. Thanks to innovations by Derpedian engineers, the AN/SPY-1 system can be complimented by a nation's satellite network. For the first 30 days of use, the AN/SPY-1 system can utilize Derpeda's own SKYCOM-1 system on a temporary basis.
Weapons Systems
The Harrowingclass is armed in a mostly defensive capability, as her real striking power lays with her amphibious assault capabilities and aerial strike wing. As is standard amongst all vessels built by DnDY, she is equipped with the Krakatoa CIWS system, along with the Tower level 1 and 2 SAM missile systems.
- 3 Krakatoa Tower 1 20mm Ultra-Rapid-Fire-Cannon
- 1 Tower 2 SAM missile pod (Anti-Aircraft)
- 1 Tower 2 SAM missile pod (Anti-Missile)
Armor
For the Harrowing class Amphibious Assault Ship, we utilize our patented depleted Uranium Vital Systems armor, which is used to protect the engines, ammunition storage compartments, and below-deck sensor equipment. It is also layered within the belt armor pattern of Derpedian DockYards, which consists of 40cm high torsion steel-titanium alloy, sandwiched between two layers of 20cm depleted Uranium-titanium alloy. This mix allows for optimal speed-armor ratio.
Storage
The key components of the Harrowing class are her amphibious assault capabilities, and DnDY has gone to great lengths in making the Harrowing a leader in her class. The rear of the vessel contains a stern-gate, with room to accept all ranges of amphibious assault boats directly into the Harrwing class. On her deck there is enough room for 16 V-22 Osprey VSTOL/STOL aircraft. She also has internal lodging ports for the V-22 when folded, to allow for below-deck storage during transit and bad weather. Her storage capabilities also include that of an on-board hospital with 200 beds, and lodging for 600 marines and all their equipment. If her stern-gate is drained, she can hold 6 Leopard 2a2 MBT in her main storage compartment for transfer to on-shore parties, as well as numerous other vehicles. The Harrowing class' flexibility is what makes her an excellent addition to any modern navy.
- Internal lodgings for aircraft: up to 20 V-22 Osprey ( or equivalent helicopter )
- stern gatehouse: 1 marine landing craft, 6 MBT, or other vehicles of similar comparison
- 200 bed on-board hopsital

The name for this system is AN/SPY-1. The AN/SPY-1 system entails sonar, decimetric radar (targeting, tracking, and flight control), and satellite information to allow for a complete intelligence picture.
- lodging and storage for 600-man marine contingent
The cost of a Harrowing class vessel is estimated at 690 million NSD per unit.
Aircraft Carriers are used by navies to project aerial power across a combat zone. Generally nuclear powered, an aircraft carrier has unlimited range, only burdened by general munitions are crew rotations. Due to the nature of the vessel's armament (aircraft), the range of an aircraft carrier far exceeds that of any conventional warship, allowing the presence of a single carrier to change the entire tactical direction of a theater of war. Aircraft carriers are today's answer to yesterday's battleship.
