Nowadays, he is in charge of affairs to do with the World Assembly, often keeping in touch with Moderator of Foreign Affairs, Christopher Arnell.
Background: Son of two primary school teachers, Stephen took an interest in politics at an early age, becoming Class Minister in Year 4. Fun facts: Stephen is allergic to chilli powder.
Titles: Current: Head Moderator of The Forum of The Inevitable Syndicate, Moderator of World Assembly Affairs (SyndiTek)

Emissary - Epiſkœ¹
Age: 1,390
Birthplace: Veʃwaʒüwin² (The Faerie word for "Island"; is the same place the Humans call Eireann Fae)
Family: Her Hosts³ consisted of two Spirit Faeries and one of the Air element. Ezüla, the younger of the Spirit Faeries at the time, is Epiſkœ's only surviving Host (and is the current Overseer of the Community).
Education: Faeries lack a formal education system. Being a Spirit Faerie, though, Epiſkœ sees the spiritual auras of other living beings as naturally as Humans see visible Light (indeed, Faeries cannot see the visible spectrum). She has learned, as have all her kind, to interpret the spirit energy of various life forms. In the beginning, this consisted mostly of the local flora and fauna of Veʃwaʒüwin. Within the past several centuries, however, the Faeries have started taking in Human refugees, and as such, learned to read their auras as well. Even more recently, the Faeries have begun actively seeking out distant civilisations and species, and the Spirit Faeries, including Epiſkœ, have adapted accordingly.
Employment: Epiſkœ was among the first Faeries to learn to read Human auras. As such, it has long been her responsibility to interact with the beings, and so she has been a diplomat for about as long as there have been Humans on Veʃwaʒüwin. Before the coming of Humans, Faerie civilisation had little structure, and the creatures simply did as they pleased (which, for Spirit Faeries, typically involved soothing the savage beasts and healing spiritual wounds).
Politics: All Faeries are intrinsically bound to Nature, and as such, Epiſkœ sees protecting the environment as her first and foremost duty in her interaction amongst Humans. Being a Spirit Faerie, she also has a particular interest in reducing the pain and strife that Humans tend to inflict on others, and takes a notably pacifist approach when possible.
Titles: Fenhawilzœʒü (Emissary) is her proper title, but she also accepts Fenhawilzœ (Ambassador).
Responsibilities: Emissary is the highest ranking Ambassador amongst the Faeries, and as such the one holding the title is sent on the most important diplomatic missions. For now, the Emissary's place is in the World Assembly.
Interests: Nature, peace, strong mead.
Once Said: "Fe-melʒüʃin melʃin'|i bak efœ'þelövnü? Þelövzœ fe'œöpanilʃin?⁴"
Staff: Faeries speak only their own language, and as such she employs a translator, Rowan.
¹ Pronounced ee-piss-key
² Pronounced vesh-wah-zhu-win
³ Faeries reproduce when anywhere between one and four Faeries (called Hosts) come together in a particular manner and combine their Spirit Energies.
⁴ Translation: Does the idiot not know we discussed this thing already? Does he not even see the discussion?
Translator - Rowan
Age: 12
Birthplace: One of the few Humans born on the island, she is native to Eireann Fae.
Family: Her father was never known, and her mother was killed in childbirth. Rowan has been raised by a care-giver, Mary Jane, and her employer, Epiſkœ
Education: No formal education exists on Eireann Fae, and parents and their children are generally allowed to let the latter study what they like. In this case, Rowan grew up studying languages. She is currently fluent in over a dozen of them, including Fae, Gaelige, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Esperanto, Russian, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Latin. She is currently studying Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi.
Employment: A precocious polyglot, Rowan spent her earliest years teaching recent immigrants to Eireann Fae the language of the Faeries. Her talent was noticed by the leading Ambassador to the nation, known as an Emissary, and at the age of ten was taken on as Translator for the Emissary. Their first assignment together was to the World Assembly, and except for a brief period where Eireann Fae withdrew from the Assembly in protest, there they have stayed.
Politics: Like most Fae, Rowan cherishes personal freedom above all else. She is known as a champion of free speech, bodily autonomy, and a strong disliking for violence, particularly when it comes to the military. She almost always treats others with respect, even enemies, believing that kindness is key to good diplomacy.
Titles: Translator, Ambassador (unofficial, but the Emissary doesn't mind)
Responsibilities: Officially, she is merely supposed to translate the Emissary's softly whispered words for the General Assembly. Unofficially, she has personally taken an active role in many debates, but always with the full support of her employer.
Interests: Languages, obviously. The girl is also known to play games hacked onto a device known as a Codex (which was merely designed to store and display text of previously passed resolutions, available at the WAHQ Gift Shop for $24.99). She is probably the youngest patron to frequent the Stranger's Bar, and has a fondness for so-called Green Vespers; a drink comprised of absinthe, gin, and vodka, with a twist of lime.
Once said: "And, uh, sorry about the stabbing thing. Politics, you know."
Staff: Serves the Emissary of Eireann Fae.
(OOC: Image of Rowan subject to change. I'd prefer a longer dress, but it's hard to find such images...)
Ambassador - Melöʃina¹
Age: 329
Birthplace: Veʃwaʒüwin
Family: Born to only one host, Milþiköpa (current Minister of Diplomacy amongst the Faeries)
Education: Being a Water Faerie, most of her informal education was learning to control that element. While she is not yet powerful enough to call the rains or change the tide, she can draw moisture from the air and control the liquid element to a limited extent. She has n particular diplomatic training.
Employment: For most of her life, Melöʃina was content to practice her skills in controlling water. A couple of years ago, however, Eireann Fae pulled out of the World Assembly, but Milþiköpa wished to maintain a limited presence here. Alexandra was the most qualified Human (and it helped that Rowan recommended her for the job), and the girl personally requested that her friend Mel come along. Despite her lack of previous diplomatic experience, Melöʃina thought it sounded like fun, and Milþiköpa did not mind, as the role of Ambassador to the World Assembly was a mere formality at this point, anyway. Once Eireann Fae rejoined the Assembly, Alex and Mel stayed on with Epiſkœ and Rowan for a little while, but then went off on other diplomatic assignments. They are currently unengaged.
Politics: She cares very much for the sanctity of the environment, but that is as far as her political opinions go. She is not a real diplomat, and while she has fun interacting with Humans, she has no particular interest in their political ideals.
Titles: Fenhawilzœ (Ambassador)
Responsibilities: Mostly keeping Alexandra out of trouble, though she is occasionally amused by the girl's antics and lets her get away with more than she probably should.
Interests: Water, playing with Humans, dancing
Once Said: "Œfœ'|i fesölköʃœnöʒü?²"
Staff: Her translator, Alexandra
¹ Pronounced mel-oh-shih-nah
² Translation: Are you neurotic? (Also, spelling fixed to represent the current Faerie alphabet.)
Translator - Alexandra
Age: 16
Birthplace: Unknown
Family: Unknown, but considers Rowan a little sister
Education: Was taken from her parents at a young age and forced to serve in her home nation's military, beginning training at age 10. At age 12, she broke from the ranks, destroyed a barracks, and fled to Eireann Fae, known as safe harbour for refugees. There she learned the local language and how to hunt and fish.
Employment: Age 10-12 she was in the military, from 12-14 she gathered food for the Community. A few weeks shy of her fifteenth birthday, Eireann Fae withdrew from the General Assembly, and the current Translator, Rowan, recommended Alexandra to take her place in the new WA Mission. Now that Eireann Fae is back in the WA, Alex serves as a translator in other diplomatic arenas, most recently in the war-torn nation of Saurisia, from which she barely escaped.
Politics: She also champions personal freedom, but is quite a bit less shy than Rowan about expressing her viewpoints. Not raised to treat anyone but her superiors with respect (and having later rebelled against those superiors), Alexandra is known for delivering her very strong opinions with a sharp tongue. She generally treats others with contempt until they earn her respect. Given her history, the girl is also a lot more outspoken against the military; particularly when it comes to conscription.
Titles: Translator, Ambassador, Bitch.
Responsibilities: Almost always acts as a translator for Meloshina, but has occasionally done special "assignments" for Eireann Fae's diplomatic corps (such as helping refugees flee their native lands to come to Eireann Fae). There are few military-trained citizens of the Community, and Alexandra is always glad to provide her unique talents as necessary for the good of the Fae, and the world at large.
Interests: Is known to be a connoisseur of fine marijuana (and occasionally cocaine, when she is hanging out with Eduard Heir). She also plays guitar, and has appeared twice in the WorldVision series of concerts.
Once said: "So because you have an invisible friend in the sky and I don't, you're allowed to object to military service and I can't? Fuck that noise..."
Staff: Either runs solo or with Ambassador Meloshina

Special Ambassador Max Schneider
Age: 28
Birthplace: New Berlin, NB, Louisistan
Family: His father, Thomas Schneider is the CEO of Schneider Industries, an arms manufacturer.
Education: Master of Laws, University of Konstanz
Employment: After the coup of January 2013, which removed the military dictatorship from power, Schneider was appointed Special Ambassador to the WA as a replacment for Malcolm Fass who had been a member of the Council on National Defence before his appointment to the WA.
Background: Schneider was coopted into the Senate of Konstanz after graduating from university. He had to resign after three months, however, after a sex scandal involving him and the daughter of the speaker. He signed up for the diplomatic corps afterwards.
Fun facts: Although he isn't quite the heavy drinker his predecessor was, he still enjoys large amounts of scotch and can be found regularly in the stranger's bar. He's also quite the womanizer, which led to his resignation from the Senate of Konstanz.

Deputy Ambassador Roland Schulz
Age: 31
Birthplace: Konstanz, LV, Louisistan
Family: None
Education: Master of Arts (Political Science), University of Konstanz
Employment: After Louisistan joined the WA in 2012, he was chosen as the Deputy Ambassador
Background: Roland Schulz joined the diplomatic corps in 2009 and has served on different posts since then. He is considered by many of his colleagues to be a careerist.

Ambassador - Désirée "Desi" O'Shaughnessy
[NSWiki entry]
Age: 28
Birthplace: Martumba, Solace
Family: Her father, Christopher O'Shaughnessy, is a prominent Siroci social activist, while her mother, Justine Gutierrez, is a solicitor with the Mirano-Solaci Recognition Movement. Additionally, her paternal aunt was the late Rihanna O'Shaughnessy, who lead the Commissariat of Law, Justice and Human Rights from 1966 until her death in 1980.
Biography: The only child in her family, Desi was born in 1985 in Martumba, a harbour city in the autonomous community of Solace in southwestern Ossitania. Her parents married in 1983 and divorced in 1988, when Desi was just three years old. Her father returned to his city of birth, Clockmore, while she stayed with her mother in Martumba. Unsurprisingly, Desi developed strong political feelings while growing up in the midst of the campaign for recognition of the Mirano-Solaci minority in Ossitania.
At the age of 18, Desi enrolled in Hope City University, where she received her Bachelor of Civil Law. However, by the time she was qualified, Desi had turned away from following her mother into the Mirano-Solaci Recognition Movement and switched to international law for her master's degree, which she completed at the University of Quatress. She was offered a job with the Diplomatic Corps upon receiving her master's and became the Secretary to the Ambassador to Urgench.
Desi spent a year at this post before being promoted to Ambassador to Urgench, a position she occupied for a further three years, until she was given an unexpected promotion to Deputy Ambassador General by her superior, Ambassador General Derek McGregor. She occupied this post for just a year before it was abolished, but received sufficient warning of its abolition to contest the 2012 general election, where she was elected as an MP for Solace and appointed to the new portfolio of Junior Minister for WA Affairs.
Politics: Desi is a moderate International Federalist and a supporter of greater regional autonomy within Ossitania. She is a democratic socialist and supports mixed economies with a prominent social conscience. In stark contrast to her predecessor, Desi is a devout practitioner of Ossitanian Komodoism, though she likes to keep her religion and her politics separate.
Titles: Current: Junior Minister for WA Affairs (2013-present); Former (from most recent): Deputy Ambassador General of the Diplomatic Corps of Ossitania (2012-2013), Ambassador to Urgench (2009-2012), Secretary of the Ambassador to Urgench (2008-2009)
Responsibilities: The Junior Minister for WA Affairs' duties are the advancement of Ossitania's international policy objectives through the proposition and opposition of legislation in the World Assembly.
Interests: Desi likes to take a load off by playing video games in her office. She also has a strong interest in Miranian literature.
