It doesn't matter what nation you use to sign up here, as long as you only sign up one, as it's your first cup. In later cups you can add another nation if you want, but it has to be noted as a puppet of your original nation.

As a user, you are only allowed a maximum of two nations entered in the World Cup at any one time, for various reasons including: fairness on others, RPing overload and time constraints.

You are only allowed, however, a second nation (known as a puppet) after you have participated in a World Cup cycle. This is because your 'Main' nation is supposed to be stronger, better, higher ranked, etc, than your 'puppet' nation.

Your Main and Puppet nation can be intrinsically linked, RP-wise, in that the puppet is a breakaway or independent region of the main nation (this is common). They can also be completely separate (and ICly unknowing of each other), which allows a totally different style, culture, background etc, to explore either a different style of nation or to allow you to go nuts with something far more (or less) extreme than your main.

As long as we're aware that one nation is a puppet of another (remember if you are signing up for the first time for WC48, you may only sign a puppet up aswell in WC49), then that's all is required. We have got fairly good at spotting undeclared puppets, however, and we have got forum and game moderators to check on this for us in the past.
